Defeat The Godmodder

Tribulation 5 START
Amidst the silence, you hear familiar Omnispeech. It sounds louder than ever, now.

ATTENTION PEOPLES OF REALITY:

At the current time, every one of Reality's Planes is now in one place, save the Arbiter's Plane.

The Fifth Tribulation will now begin, and its end will signal the completion of the Evacuation Directive.

THE END:

The Fifth Tribulation is one final check before everything finishes. Whoever pressed the last buttons on the terminal at the end of the Fourth Tribulation will be brought before God himself, who shall act as the judge of whether or not the Evacuation Directive is justified. If the angels fought them last Tribulation, then their reward is an audience to plead their case. Note that the judgement will occur for the movement as a whole, not the specific person brought in front of God. If God judges the Evacuation Directive to be unjustified, wait patiently for him and the angels to set matters right again. Do note that the process may take a substantial amount of time.

-----------

The Godmodder's elevator finishes its ascent.

With a smile on his face, the Godmodder steps outside the Terminal room, and onto a bright golden platform. All around them is a chamber of clouds, stretching about a mile wide. On the far side, opposite the Godmodder, shines a blinding light. God himself.

The Godmodder: You're the Big Man, right?

The Godmodder: You should know what's about to happen already.

[You are not immortal.]

[You will not become immortal.]

[You will fail.]

The Godmodder is staring down, off to the side, away from God. The light shrouding God's true form is very bright. He'd hate to hurt his eyes.

God could have attacked the moment the Godmodder entered. But he already knew that wouldn't work. With Godmodding powers plus Satan's powers in the form of Descendancy, the Godmodder's own abilities now rival God's.

The Godmodder knows, of course, that this isn't really the God commonly held in numerous religions to be omnipotent. The Architects were stronger than God, although by a relatively small margin.

In a prolonged battle, the Godmodder would surely take at least 1 damage. But this will not be a prolonged battle.

That said... the Godmodder frowns for a moment. God's words... he doubts.

But then he realized. Of course! God held off on attacking to plant doubt within his heart. But now that he's AWARE of God's trick, it won't work at all! Of course... definitely...

The Godmodder shakes it off.

[Reality will survive.]

[And you will have no part in it.]

The Godmodder takes a deep breath, turns to look at God, and attacks, using

CRITICAL SOUL WEAKNESS STRUCK

GOD IS NO MORE

Tribulation 5 END
ATTENTION PEOPLES OF REALITY

If you're hearing this message, that indicates that God has approved the Evacuation Directive's completion. The 5th Tribulation is now considered complete. Please listen very carefully.

The sinister voice of the Godmodder echoes throughout every inch of Reality.

God is dead. The atheists were wrong, up until today. Now, they are right.

I have seized all of God's powers, and acquired complete immortality, invincibility, and control. With them, I issued the approval for the completion of the Evacuation Directive.

Soon, Reality itself will be eradicated.

Luckily for you, this will take a few hours. Please spend these last moments with your families, friends, or whatever it is mortals have. Do note feebly attempt to resist. Do not try and find a place to hide. It will be pointless.

Now then... it's time to complete the first step of creating Reality 2.

From the clouds, you see a blinding white light descend! But there's nothing heavenly about it. It's the Godmodder!

The Godmodder has now become the Ascendant Descendant, acquiring the full power of God and Satan combined! Together, they're even more than the sum of their parts!

The Godmodder is now the most powerful being to ever exist. It would take all of the Architects together to stand even a chance against him in terms of raw power.

The Godmodder activates UNHOLY DIVINE SHIELD! You don't see anything, but you feel it... the Godmodder is now surrounded with a completely invincible shield. Not even Yorehammer can break it.

The Godmodder stares down at the Players with a smirk.

The Godmodder: You tried so hard.

The Godmodder: And for naught.

The Godmodder: God tried to taunt me. Tell me I'll fail. I don't think he had anything to back it up with.

The Godmodder: Feel free to continue your resistance. I no longer have anything to fear.

The Godmodder raises his hands in the air! You're still high up on the invisible platform, but on the ruined and torn stone landscape below you, you see dark shadows... more and more...

They're entities! Hundreds, no, thousands! And all of them just as powerful as the Army of 50 you recently finished beating down! But they're far away, and don't threaten you... The Godmodder looks at his hands, turning them over, bending his fingers in and out... so much power...

The Godmodder: Now... ha... hahaha... now...

The Godmodder barely forces the words out over his laughter.

The Godmodder: BOW DOWN! Bow down to the GOD OF THE NEW REALITY!

The Godmodder: AH HAH HAH HAH HAH!

The Godmodder's normally mostly emotionless face has an expression of pure ecstasy.

The Godmodder: I want to delay, but... I musn't!

The Godmodder: I'm off to go use Unholy Divine Obliteration, the ultimate Reality-destroying attack. What you do until that moment is entirely up to you!

The Godmodder: Maybe you could draw up some plans for Reality 2 in the hopes I'll listen? See that movie you wanted to see? Finally try and finish your old Steam library? Make some last, desperate attempt to stop me? Whip up that new recipe you've been wanting to try?

The Godmodder: It's all the same either way! Ha!

With a blip, the Godmodder teleports away.

And you're all left standing there.

----------

Altair: ...

Altair: Team meeting.

Altair: Now.

(The next storypost, the Last Meetup, should be up tomorrow.)

Storypost XVI - The Last Meetup
Agreed....but first let's buy some Extra Time for that Team Meeting.

(x3)I proceed to get some More Time for the Team Meeting. Its easy to do so when you summon the Shade of Aradia to be Maid of Time.

I then join Dragon of Hope in clearing out the Steam Library.

Altair: Ah, good idea. This should make the meeting take limited time.

"So we're totally fine because the Godmodder hasn't failed an action since I hit the soul orb really hard."
"Also, its interesting that Evucorp hasn't been attacked."
[x1] I ask Evucorp if it can evacuate the entirety of Reality.
[x1] I grab at the energy the Godmodders shield left behind. from the Unholy Divine Shield's remnants, the Godmodder lock, and- if I can think of a place to include it- Something, I do my best to create a DeityModderscendant Lock. and place it around all reality. or Evucorp, if action one failed.
[x1] I walk over to the Writer.

"Hm."
"Can you fix this? I think perhaps you can."
"Here. take these. And before you give up, listen."
"The Godmodder has One health. Being descended didn't heal him; this won't have done so either."
"You said yourself you can use your power once before he kills you? Well, these are Boost Stones. Relics of an earlier time. They give 3 extra actions. To anyone. You, Me, the Godmodder, even..."
"That's Seven times your normal output for a round. So, there are a few ways this can go down."
"You can try and get him to drop the shield and let us hit."
"Or... here's a creative option. We have an item called the Ressurection Orb. if we use it, we can bring back the Charmzard and kill it, damaging the Godmodder. Descended didn't help the Godmodder against that kind of thing."
"If you can make sure it works... and this is an edge case, so hopefully it'll be easier...? Then, well, that's game."
"Oh, and we haven't failed."
"One, in case you didn't hear, the Godmodder hasn't had an action stutter to a stop from heavy soul orb damage. that Has to happen at some point."
"And two..."
" "
"Oh! And, because Levity is important! I hope your 'Truth about JOEbob' chapter starts with something along the lines of 'Now, the first truth we must unveil is that there is no JOEbob. There hasn't been for <most of the game's length, in IC time> Oh, there are JOEbob copies, JOEbobian text, and so on. But, to be completely accurate, we must note that the Original JOEbob lost their name. Since long ago, they have been named JObob, for they were forced to use their 'E' to win a game of Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker against the Godmodder'. If it doesn't note this, you should probably edit it in ;P "

All Evacucorp representatives are currently busy.

You fail to grab the energy. There is none. You can't handle it even if there was some.

The Writer: ...

The Writer: I might have one more thing I can do...

I stumble, reeling from what happened. I can't catch my breath for a moment.

"Oh." I murmur. "Oh God-"

I feel my throat clog and choke up. I feel my hands catch themselves on my knees before I register the sound of me getting violently sick.

After that nasty display, I wipe my mouth clean and... Well, my Player Power expends no effort in getting rid of the mess.

"What the actual fuck? What are we going to do? What..."

I close my eyes. When has raw power ever worked before? Not often. Not ever, if I can recall. Only zaniness and creatively applied BS. And...

"His 25 HP Boss. Has that thing turned up yet?" I ponder aloud, then remember the Princess. "If we found and killed her, would that also kill the Godmodder? He only has one health point left - any legitimate Boss death would finish him."

I then slap myself. "No. Not her. We've come this far. We'll finish this the RIGHT way. Somehow."

"An Unholy Divine Shield. Raw power cannot undo it. But perhaps there's a way to bypass or undo it. " I muse out loud to myself. "...This planning session is going to be important. Lethally so."

I take my three Actions... and Crystalize them as three orbs. Power. Creativity. Perseverance. I then shoot them out into Reality for any hero worthy of their essence to obtain and use them to undo the Godmodder's evils. Not useful now, but they will be if we survive.

If.

...

I take that If, and smash it to pieces. There's too much on the line to allow its existence in my mind anymore. Not in the form of doubt, anyway.

You shoot out the three orbs of Power, Creativity, and Perseverance. Perhaps some future hero will claim them and use them to accomplish some great quest.

-----------

Everybody has retreated to a nearby temporary skybase set up. The NPC Players have rejoined you. Arsenical was moved to a separate facility, and is currently recovering - it looks like he's going to be just fine long-term.

Ash stares down off the edge of the skybase, at the huge crowd of foes milling about below. Jamie is sitting down, staring at nothing. Cloak and Cera are still standing, both trying their best to keep it together. Altair and Quinn have taken up position at front, clearly indicating that they're the leaders. Thanks to paradoxdragonpaci's maids, you have a little extra time to recover, but...

Altair: There's no sense in waiting any longer. Let's get started.

Ash: Give it to me straight, please.

Ash: If we're all going to die, tell me right away. I have some people I want to visit if it's hopeless.

Cera: Ash... don't say such things...

Ash: Cera, be realistic for once in your life, here.

Ash: I mean. This is what he's been working towards the whole time. He's more or less won now, right?

Jamie: We came so close...

Altair: We are not doomed.

Everyone goes quiet for a moment. Altair repeats himself.

Altair: We are NOT doomed.

Altair: There is still one card on the table. I believe a few of the Players have already realized.

Altair: The Godmodder has not yet been struck by his Critical Soul Weakness.

Cloak: Vast numbers of Player groups in the past have attacked the Godmodder with every sort of mundane thing possible. What could his weakness possibly be? It would be exceptionally lucky for us to hit it now...

Ash: Altair, if your plan is to attack the Godmodder with random objects...

Altair: No. The ruins.

Ash: ... Hmm...

Cloak: I remember them! They're located somewhere out in Earth's oceans, and supposedly they can give the Critical Soul Weakness of anything, but...

Cloak: They always said, over and over, that it's a bad idea to use them to try and find the Godmodder's weakness.

Altair: Well, I can't imagine at this point that it's a worse idea than doing nothing.

Altair: Me and Quinn have our proposal. Quinn?

Quinn: Thanks, Altair.

Quinn summons a giant slideboard, with a powerpoint presentation already prepared. He brings up the first slide, showing the Player group going in two different directions as two different units. One has all of you, the rest has the Players not originally part of your group - Quinn, Altair, and the others.

Quinn: First, we split into two groups to accomplish two different objectives.

Quinn: The first group - the smaller one - will enter the defensive fortress that used to be the housing place for Yoreshield.

Quinn: Alice took some of the defenses down, but we'll get them up and running again. I believe that place has a port to the Eternal Stasis Machine as well, which is why the Eternal Stasis Machine is so difficult to get to.

Quinn: We might have to unleash those stored within the machine as a last-ditch effort. We'll do what we have to. But the end result is, we lure the Godmodder and his infinite army over, and do everything we can to stall them. Make it seem like a final stand. A distraction.

Quinn: Meanwhile, all of you - he points to you and your fellow Players - will go to Earth - the ruins.

Quinn: Your objective will be to acquire the Godmodder's Critical Soul Weakness.

Quinn: Then, we'll meet back up, and use whatever you find against the Godmodder.

Quinn: I can't say it'll work, but... it's our last shot at saving Reality.

Quinn: Now then. Any questions?

Cera: I have one - the Godmodder's new Army is massive. How can a smaller group like ourselves hope to survive against them even for a handful of turns?

Altair: Right. Well, we have a few things. First, the last of the Peacekeeper bosses are over there. We'll have whatever defenses are left at the fortress. The other Players currently running around might meet up with us.

Altair: And - though I'm sorry to ask this - Players, I'm going to have you ask for all your remaining items and CP.

Altair: The ruins is a dangerous place, but things brought in from the outside will be of extremely limited use. The entire place has on it a curse of no charging, curse of no entity summoning... it's clearly designed not to be beatable with prior preparation alone.

Altair: The more items and CP you give us, the better chance we'll stand against the Godmodder's Army.

While inside the ruins, your items and CP will be useless. The more CP and items Altair and the others have - the longer they can last against the Godmodder, and the less likely they are to die.

Altair turns to you.

Altair: Players. Any questions on your end?

------------

Jamie: I feel... weaker.

Altair: Yes... it's indeniable now that God was the source of our powers.

Altair: Without him, we'll lose them before long. I'd say to pray we'll have enough time, but...

With God dead, your Player powers themselves have begun to drain away. The more they drain, the weaker you'll become.

After 20 turns, they'll disappear completely. At that time, Unholy Divine Obliteration will finish charging, and the Godmodder will have won.

Move quickly!

OOC: During this turn, you can take one last breather, continue to wrap up any RP/world stuff you want to do, and ask questions about the upcoming mission. If you'd like to withhold items from Altair and the other groups, just ask. Normal items will be of almost no use in the coming challenge.

Note that a few plot-important items will remain in your inventory no matter what.

Mandatory Sidequest II - The Ruins
"Yes, because there's one big problem with this plan. You see, what you've considered is the problem of hurting the Godmodder, which is arguably the easier of the two issues we face. The major one is the shield." ES conjured forth an energy barrier to drive home the point.

"As the shield is its own object, we suspect that it will require its own attack to eliminate," Amelia added.

"And thus we face not one Critical Soul Weakness fact finding expedition-" ES raised a single finger.

"But two." Amelia added her own finger alongside his.

"We need to find both the weaknesses of the Shield as well as the Godmodder's."

"He'll have prepared his shield for mental attacks, so if the CSW is of that type then we will still need this."

"This does assume the Shield has such a weakness, but it's our best bet."

The pair of them lowered their arms. "It's twice the work, but we're confident we can pull it off.

Altair: I wouldn't be too concerned. Critical Soul Weaknesses normally break through any defenses an entity has. For instance, attack shields don't have CSWs and are ignored when hitting an enemy's CSW.

Altair: Only explicit bodyguards can really protect from CSWs. If the Godmodder summons one, we'll remove it. If he summons another Tank-type... well, I doubt he can get anything quite as strong as the Tank on short notice. But whatever the case may be, we'll deal with it somehow.

I give all items I currently have to the Last Stand.

"Give them hell,alright??"

(x3)I meditate on the Ruins and the Critical Soul Weaknesses stored within...the probable location is in the deepest heart of the place...is there a possibility of the Godmodder moving...probably not??...

Hmm... with luck, the distraction of your allies should prove successful...

"...I swear to- how is This the plan you come up with? This! The first issue is what ES noted, but it is, I suppose, theoretically surmountable, just several times harder."
"look, I get that the Ruins have been brought up, foreshadowed, used as a plot point. Sure, there are some things pointing to them."
"But there are other plans- Ones not suggested as terrible ideas several times, ones which Don't scale with the strength of the Godmodder in terms of difficulty! It's harder to find a soul weakness of a more powerful being, and the Godmodder is currently around as strong as every Architect there ever was put together! I mean, not quite that strong, but close!"
"So! Completely off the top of my head! less then a minute of thinking to come up with them! are two ideas! One of which, on inspection, someone else, and I, already said, and you didn't respond to!"
"One! We either kill the potentially still-living sealed princess! Or ressurect a sealed boss, the charmzard, and kill it! What would we lose? The Ressurection orb, which we are unlikely to use anyway, and at most one action to kill it dead!"
"This plan is also compatible with your own! You could ressurect the Charmzard for combat purposes, to have it mind control your foes when they pour in! and then, if its death will harm the Godmodder, then he'll take that damage! and die!"
"Two! We go to the Godmodders shadow realm! which must be already present here, because every plane is here except the administrative one, which the Shadow Realm is not! And free even One player! the Godmodder loses one health! He Dies! If we can go to the ruins on earth, there is little reason not to go to the Shadow Realm, the defenses of which we have seen could be defeated almost entirely by even just Disco-chan! just get one of them!"
"There are probably others! When you think something is the only option, and you have not tried to think of alternatives for Five Minutes By the Clock (a timeslowed one, obviously), then you are not doing it right!"
"granted, the forces of causality and background lore always seem to conspire to make sure that any plan suggested by a player who doesn't function quite on the Posts system is actually the only and best plan. but accepting this is not particularly good epistemologically."

<I let them have the Godmodder Lock and cleansed multiplier orb, only maybe the boost stones, and definitely keep Something. Also, if player powers are vanishing, wouldn't making an entity with similar powers rooted in some other system be rather useful? If the answer to this question is yes:
[x25+2] I immediately spend all 25 of my CP on making myself a secondary body. yes, the CP is from a player and hence god, but it can affect things not from a player or god. I do that to make nanotech armor or whatever the most powerful scifi technology that's physically real is. To do so, I make use of the Eternal Stasis Machine's entities blueprints that some of them have probably made. I also make use of the Taint, which came from the Christmas present which is neither player nor god, and was only granted extremely favourable conditions by me, and so will not run low on power, and add in any baseline reality magic systems by only second-order effects. I then upload a copy of my brain there. Oh, and I make use of the infinite charmzard energy as a permanent fuel source; its Godmodding-based, not Player-based.
And if it won't work because no entities, I make it an Item. an Item locked to my thought processes instead of my player powers, designed to be operable with or without them, with a notable battery, a health bar, and so on. There's no rule saying items can't have durability, is there? the godmodder suit thing the dark one had comes to mind as something similar, albeit less entityiffied.
>
[1x (or 3x if the above doesn't take)] I conjure a glowing Cyan arrow and give it homing and non-euclidean travel. plus rockets. and explosion powers. We're still at 100% player power, which means I still have a million attack power, and I direct all this attack power to target the Sealed Princess with a secondary priority of targeting any other sealed bosses that may still be around.

Altair: Finishing off the Godmodder by killing a Sealed Boss?

Altair: Did you notice his HP bar before he left?

You remember what the Godmodder's HP bar was...

Verraad, Reality's Modder: 100,000,000/100,000,000 HP (Ascendant Descendant)

Altair: He's not even a Godmodder anymore... he has ascended beyond even that.

Altair: Fair chance he's masking his real HP bar again, like he was at the start of the conflict. That being said, who knows what his HP really is... there's only a 1% chance that killing a random sealed boss from ages ago will actually give him a heart attack and kill him instantly.

Altair: (I doubt a resurrected Sealed Boss would deal any damage when killed, anyways... the godmodder takes damage because he gambles HP on their survival, so that wouldn't really...)

You mention the second.

Altair: Go to the Godmodder's Shadow Realm? And you're suggesting that plan like it's... obviously better?

Altair: The Godmodder's probably already making changes to the Shadow Realm. It's more inaccessible than ever before, no doubt! And the defenses will be tighter too!

Altair: With his current power levels, he might not even need to rely on Player souls for HP gain anymore!

Altair: How dare you snip at me, and yell like you're some grand leader shouting down his intellectually inferior subordinates? Dear god, why did I ever think you would be worth working with!?

Altair: ...Although, I guess "dear god" would be pretty meaningless now...

You make an item, the second body. Be careful it doesn't get instantly destroyed the moment you try to use it for something.

Somebody slaps your hand away as you try to instantly kill the Sealed Princess. At LEAST get the consent of a few other Players before murdering innocent other NPCs!

I'd like to keep Excalibur. However, you can have my 3 actions from this turn.

You keep Excalibur, and add 3 to the CP stash.

Ultimo Durana and the Powerful Callback Greatsword are staying with me. Ultimo Durana can still do a heck of a lot, even without CP. The Powerful Callback Greatsword might be useful for a powerful attack in the future.

"Well then, LET'S ROCK!"

Your items are staying with you!

LET'S ROCK!

"Join point me in the right direction and I'll do whatever you need."

I sheath my Daybreak sword, slide a golden gun into my hip holster, and conceal solar knives in my sleeves. I make sure I'm properly suited for the job ahead, and take a breath.

"Let's just hope this doesn't become the Fires of Ancient Cosmic Destiny."

The last fights await you...

I sigh, watching the whole ascension shebang. Well, nothing we can do to stop all that. We can only hope to defeat the Godmodder.
If items will still be useful in our upcoming trials, I begin slowly assembling a gun, utilizing the bag of nine-sided dice, and whatever items we have that no-one needs anymore.

You assemble the nine-sided dice gun! It might not be very useful, but if you need it... you have it...

.....Well... If you say so.
(Bill takes out his weapons from his inventory and sighs. I then give them to Altair)
Even though I don't have CP, I hope these will help.
I believe in you.

Meanwhile...

Shadrix: its almost time...
Kirby: Do we have a backup plan in case things go wrong?
Shadrix: .....no. and I don't think jumping to another reality will help either.
Kirby: You know... Monika has been asleep for a while.
Shadrix: oh... yeah. how is she?
Kirby: I don't know, we need to check.

Shadrix and Kirby go to see that Monika is still there, sleeping away.

Shadrix: man... she must be tuckered out. How long has she been sleeping? How long has this gone on for?
Kirby: I don't think time matters here anymore.
Shadrix: .......... I plan to settle this after his destruction. I want to see the Godmodder die for myself.

Altair: Thank you.

Altair: We will use these well.

Find Valla. Her Player Power Lock might disrupt the power drain and buy us the time we need.

Didn't you previously stop her from doing anything?

I'd call that a mistake now.

Understood. I'll see if I can find her.

Action 1: I open the previously-established player communications channel and contact Valla.

So, Reality is about to be wiped out, and the Godmodder is stealing our power to do it. I know that we haven't gotten along, and I know that you have no reason to work with us, but your goal of freedom will fail if the Godmodder rewrites reality in his own image. Whatever his new reality is, I doubt it will allow for any sort of freedom for anyone other than himself.

You said you were making a Player Power Lock that would negate power drain. If you completed and activated that, it would disrupt the Godmodder's reality-obliterating attack, and give us additional strength to have a better chance at defeating him. If you succeed, your goal of freedom will be truly realized.

I send Valla the Ore of Orichalcum. I also give her my 3 CP, which should hopefully help her find and extract the last piece faster.

Action 2: I overload my precognitive powers to find the location of the third piece of the player power lock, and use any excess energy to also determine how to collect the third piece optimally. I share this information with Valla.

Action 3: Writer, you have been to the Ruins. I'd like a full breakdown of their defenses, and of the threats that we will face there.

Your connection to Valla is extremely crackly.

Valla: I ---an-- -ear --- a------ui---- third pi--------

Your precognitive powers are telling you you'll totally run into the third piece if you just go where you're supposed to.

The Writer isn't here right now. He left for the Ruins himself a while back, before the meeting started.

Take what I have friends! fight on!

Jamie: Thanks! We will! And we'll win, too!

"Well now, ain't this annoying. The Godmodder continues to have great success...honestly, how surprising can it be that we've reached this state?" I sigh dramatically. "Still, he hasn't won quite yet. Enough death and destruction has happened, I don't accept letting everything die. Even if I care more about my entities than the rest of this convoluted Reality, its destruction is unneeded."

Still, the situation is hardly optimal. A harsh time limit, an impossible mission, and whatever else will eventually shoot forth from the shadows. Satan and God are gone, the Godmodder has gone beyond any known power... it's a shame that a certain Purgatory esque organization wasn't also eliminated in the Godmodder's powerstealing quest. It's not like his might isn't already overpowering.

Despite all of this...eh. Oh, sure, the crisis has reached its peak but...this conflict has been surprisingly good at leaving you desensitized. I made a point to maintain my connections to my entities but a lot of others have been severely diminished. When life can be willed into existence and be extinguished just as easily...when even Players and Bosses can fade away...distancing yourself to avoid the crippling pain of loss works. In the end, it's just the Godmodder continuing his success to the next step and everyone will to their best to foil his latest efforts.

Now then, giving the 'final stand' crew a better chance to last long enough. They want my items and my CPs so they receive slow, agonizing deaths instead of obliteration. It's nice to find a cause I can get behind.

Let's see, I'll give them my CPs, the EMP, the Mopium, and the Overpowering Poison+1. Something to help take out robot foes, a crystal to hold off depression, and a potent DoT effect that worked on Charmzard before being buffed.
[N]CaptainNZZZ - CP: 0 (protected from 1 attack)(1 attack redirector)(has Entity Loyalty Punch Card - redeems one disloyal entity, Remnant crypt energy, Godmodder Tracker V1.0, always-hit-Monocle)
CP: 4
Overpowering Poison+1
...and before you ask, Quinn, I will not be providing you any of that alcohol. While I've certainly done my best to cultivate a good relationship with you and the Peacekeepers, you shouldn't be intoxicated right now. As the Peacekeepers found out when I gave you it, it's far too potent to use as liquid courage.

Your allocations have been made.

Quinn: Wouldn't dream of it...

1. I panic
2. I panic more
3. I keep panicking hoping it s going to do something

Through the pure power of PANIC, you get...

ANXIETY!

I toss my CP to Quinn, along with any I might make this turn.

CP tossed!

I wanna do what Dangan's doing
Am frozen screaming inside.
But then i realise
It's not yet over
We have one more chance
Even if it's very very slim

I give my 2 cp to those who needs it
And i stand ready to search

Also ready to defend the players from the unending horde of pg entities
Using my last cp
I use my five DRILLING bone bullet technique
And shoot a rain of such bones at the monsters
Each of these bones if they touch an entity, turn them into ash normally
Now with the bones power boosted
Even that doesn't remain

While I'm doing this i am also thinking of what to do about the lose of power that's gonna happen
Then i realise
I actually teleported the chakra fruit and all it's changes to me are permanent
It doesn't matter that I'll lose the reality bending
I'll still have all my inherant abilities
Hopefully

The chakra fruit is basically making me part god
So hopefully I'll be able to keep hold of at least that much power

You fire a volley at the monsters below! You vaporize several entities below you in a surprising show of strength.

Cera: Take care, it would be difficult if they tried to attack us right now.

The entities below don't seem to even care.

The quiet watcher looks at the antimatter bullet he was rolling along his fingers, before coming to a decision. He pocketed the bullet and passed everything else in his inventory over without a single word. He had an idea on what he was going to use it for.

You keep the bullet! Everything else is surrendered.

Piono screams down through the air, slamming into the ground with enough force that it crunches, cracks, and shatters when he lands.
"What happened? I... We all... Did we..."
He looks worried, scared. Yet another first for Piono's lategame emotional rollercoaster.
"Did we lose?"

The situation is explained to him.
"...Alright. I guess this is where the end of our journey leads."
He turns to The Writer.
"I'm guessing that you're going to be how we get back to Earth? We're all a tad bit too dead to reach the Ruins at the moment.
If you are... you should stay here for a bit if you can. Sophia is rounding up the rest of the players that were out helping keep the evacuation from obliterating everything at once. They're obviously not here yet, but you should be getting a trickle of more people over the next little while. Hopefully that's enough.
"

Piono calls everyone to the center for a moment, motioning for everyone to ring up and put their hands towards the center, like one of those team chant things.
"Looks like this is the end of the line, one way or another. So all of us are gonna go out there and do our best. You guys?" he looks at the NPCPs over towards the side. "Give the motherGORILLA a fight to remember for us.
We already kicked his sorry butt to the curb several times before now. We can and WILL do it again. LETS DO THIS
"
Presumably everyone raises their arms and shouts.

I dunno if this is a valuable contribution but dangit, we're gonna do this right.

The Writer is gone, but you voice your concerns to Altair.

Altair: Right now there... isn't really an "outside" to this place. Earth was already teleported into the HEXAGONAFIELD during the first Tribulation. Once you're ready, you'll warp right there.

In response to your speech, everyone raises their arms and shouts!

Leah's been leaning against a wall, muttering to herself the whole time. She hands 2 CP to Altair. The third...

[gimel]

Leah takes out a video recorder and starts talking.

"... So. This is it then. In a few hours this war will be decided for good, and reality will either enter a new era or be replaced. Its... rather daunting to think about."

"...I know what you're thinking. That we've lost. That we're hopeless. There's nothing in all of reality that could stop the Godmodder now. Verraad's invincible, we've lost."

"... Even so, we're going to fight! There's still a chance, however slim! It isn't about if we 'have a chance' or not, we have to! Its the first priority for us-as those who were chosen to fight the guy its only right, but I think you all know better than to assume its just us. Players came out of nowhere-we weren't always no-ones but we weren't the legendary heroes we are now because we sat on our rears and did nothing. We got those powers only after proving we could, and would, use them! I suppose, even in their absense, that this won't be any different."

"For these last few hours, we are going to transfer all of our power to Altair and a few other Players. By the time you all receive this message, it'll already have happened. We'll have set up a foritification and will begin a counterattack on the Godmodder-we will throw everything we have at him, even if it looks hopeless, even if it is hopeless, because sitting on our laurels while the world burns is not what we want to do! We will defeat the Godmoder-even God Himself said as much, and even if He died... I don't think counting out His word is a great idea. I think you all know how we could, even. We just need to work together and never give up!"

"... For all the denizens of Reality watching this, hearing this-if you can, if you truly wish to, you can help us. The Godmodder might be invincible to you, but his minions aren't. And there's plenty of power in all of you. These trials and tribulations were meant to be faced by the warriors of reality, the warriors sidelined by the Godmodder themselves. I'm not sure if you even can, or if you think its hopeless, but even so, wouldn't it be better to go out trying than just sitting around doing nothing if you can help?"

"... For the other Players... I'm sorry. We're sorry. WE have no intention of giving up-we never had. But if we could have seen this coming, or hell, tried, fought harder-we could have ended this whole thing well before now and stop this before it started. Even one thing more could have been the difference. But-this isn't the end! You mustn't forget that. We *have* to work together. No more lone wolf nonsense, we have to fight the Godmodder as a team! He's been trying to divide and dissuade us with every word out of his mouth-that rat bastard can only talk so much though! The planes colliding into each other would be cataclysmic, but that's not going to matter in the face of whatever nosnensical attack he's going to call the end of reality. You might as well go out swinging! Your powers are fading, but we're not quitting-you shouldn't either!"

"... And finally, for you. Verraad. As mentioned... While it seems hopeless for us, truth be told I've believed since the start its been hopeless for you. Call it intuition. Shrug it off as hot air. Do whatever you want, because we will defeat you. God said what he said as a fact-not some hot opinion or a taunt, but something for the record, a statement. We intend to follow through. How so? Well wouldn't you like to know. Point is-you're a rat bastard! A jackass! A fool, an idiot, a moron, and soon-so long now its been too long, it can't come any closer-before you even get the chance to fire off your final bullet-YOU WILL BE DEFEATED! REALITY WILL SURVIVE, AND WHILE I'M AT IT, I'M GOING TO PISS ON YOUR FUCKING CORPSE!"

"... We are the Final Players-the very last. There won't be any more Godmodders after Verraad. We will defeat the Godmodder-defeat Godmodding itself!- and save Reality, save you all. We're doing this so no-one else has to anymore. It's a promise, one we intend to keep!... For all the rest of you, no matter what you do-goodbye, and good luck. Final Players, signing off."

She turns off the recording.

She turns to the group.

"...Did I do well? A video to announce it, without letting him in on the plan. Thought it might worm out a few allies we haven't already. Hell-maybe if we're lucky the Architects will crawl out of whatever afterlife they stowed themselves in with some new little trick, or Evuacorp will make the phrase 'army of paper pushers' a lot more literal. Or maybe it'll get like one angry guy to pickfork an entity. I'unno. The point is to announce we're not done and to rally anyone who cares, and also taunt Verraad."

Leah pauses.

"... I... I admit. I'm not a part of your crew, per-se. I've been here too little for that honor. I guess I helped in my own ways, but you guys have had it the whole way there before me. This is it-the final, final battle. I... I feel overwhelmed. It wasn't too long ago from my perspective that I was hiding from a hurricane and bug-things, and now I'm challenging the power of the most powerful entity to exist."

"... Where's Fenix?" Leah asks. "... I'unno. Latched onto him when I was still trying to remember everything. Seemed like a great guy. I... He isn't dead, is he? ... Whatever the answer, don't hold me in suspense."

If Leah's action did not cost her a CP to perform, she hands off a third CP to Altair along with the video, with the intent that it later be played to all of Reality.

Before this post ends-she turns to the writer.

"Hey, uh, Writer? Uh, you've been to the Ruins before. Is it a 'you can't tell anyone about it' type of thing, a 'different for everyone' type of thing-what can you tell us about it? What we might face? If we can get any edge, it'll probably be through knowledge, and you look like you know a lot... If its not much to ask, I mean."

Quinn: That was perfect. Feeding right into the distraction. Excellent, really.

Ash: Some final backup would be nice, but... Reality's denizens are who we're trying to save, so it might be better if they stayed home. We can handle it.

Cera: That's a surprising show of confidence from you, Ash. Well. Either way, let's do this!

That's right, Fenix...! Maybe you'll see him again before the credits roll? If you win, that is.

"Here's hoping everyone hears, and comes. There's a lot of people still out there, the others will need help.
And Fenix... well he's somewhere else. Not dead, just not sure where. He hit the point where he was at risk of just dying straight up, so we gave him leave to... leave.
Hopefully he's doing okay.
And even if you haven't been 'part of the crew' that's a silly thing to get hung up on now of all times, eh? We're in this together. We win or lose together. And that's it.
"

EDIT:
Since it seems we're doing final defiant messages to Verraad...

Piono looks into the camera, fire, steel, ice... many things have crossed Piono's emotional range, but it's time for a final defiant moment.
"Hello there Verraad, I don't know if you've figured out who I am yet, or if you cared. Or care now if you do. I suppose you're probably gonna ignore these messages, you're a pretty cocky SOB so I figure you're still sitting holed up wherever you are before everyone comes to kick that last hit point out of your health bar.
There's been a lot of things in this war, I've learned a lot of things. Confidence, humility, determination, and that sometimes even the darkest shadows just need a bit of light to dispell them. The others have learned things too. We've all learned a lot.
I don't think you've learned anything. You've had a lot of cheap gimmicks that you thought would win you everything. And even though you've had one, maybe two of them work out for you you're still dead certain that this is going to end in your favor.
You brought the legendary weapons to the field, finally launching all of your best actions to try and beat us down. And every single time you fleeced us into retrieving one we hit you harder than you ever managed to hit us.
You brought in the Charmzard to try and kill us with our own armies, and I killed it in one hit.
You brought out the Soulrazer to try and crush us, and all it took was a couple of favors and we tore your 'greatest creation' from the sky like the cheap piece of junk it was.
You triggered a Glitch, and summoned the Deleter aiming to obliterate us all at once and we got another of your trump cards literally deleted from reality.
You trapped us in the Bank of Actions to try and get us to do your dirty work in cleaning it out, and instead of that we smashed more of your toys than if you had just done it yourself. And then when you came and killed us with a cheap trick we didn't stay dead. NONE of your plan there worked.
When the Tribulations started and you threw your armies at us we demolished them all. Flattened them. Like they were NOTHING.
When you tossed the great creator of paradoxes not only did it fail to do anything but slow us down a little bit but you nearly killed yourself in the process and we had to save your sorry butt along the way.
When you threw us into the containment sphere and thought you had us all beat when you broke out, with that fancy army of yours.
Well. Alastair remembers that moment. I'll bet you do too. I have that footage of you screaming like a little girl recorded, so when your latest scheme to make out like a bandit after killing God with a cheap parlor trick fails that's what everyone will remember you for. The man who screamed and ran when his latest trick gave out.
This isn't enough. It hasn't been enough before, it won't be enough now. You'll have to try a little harder than that.
"

Piono glares. Nobody can see him because it's an audio message. If there were a screen it would go dark as his voice goes narrator-y.

Let me tell you one, final story.

Once upon a time, there was a man a monster an idea.

And he it people hoped that maybe, just maybe, if they tried with all their might that they could make the world a better place come out at the very top survive to see the next sunrise.

So he it everyone who could worked, and hoped, and prayed. Dedicated their every waking moment to reaching that goal. The brilliant, shining future where everything would be alright belong to it still be there tomorrow.

The man set out on his journey, with a fell wind at his back and uncertainty in his way.
The monster schemed and planned, building powers and dominions to its name.
The people struggled and worked, raising new buildings whenever the storms knocked them down.

And as these stories often do, the monster, the man, and the people, would so find their destinies intertwined.

It was dark day, one in which the Sun seemed to hide its face even before tragedy struck the little world the people had built for themselves.
A demon unlike any other which they had conceived or faced came forth in a whirling storm of death and destruction.
And the man, there by chance or fate, it matters not which, found himself powerless to stop the carnage.

The monster rampaged his way through cities and towns, reveling in the horror and despair it sowed with every step.
The man watched and cowered, feeling the hope and life he'd cultivated wither away before a terror he never could have imagined.
The people cried out as their dream and idea laid shattered on the ground before them in pieces so small it could never be repaired.

But as it is in stories, there came a breaking point, where everything would change, and all would be understood.

The man stood up, tired of hiding in fear, taking the force of his hopes and knowledge to challenge the creature that threatened that which he held dear.
The people silenced, uncertain whether to cheer on the rising hero, to mourn the newest tragedy to unfold, or pull him back from certain death.
The monster, for its part, was amused enough to grant the man his final wish.

And so he stood, and so he died, and so he fell. Lifeless upon the ground.

But it was enough.

The monster laughed and turned to face the newest noise that erupted upon the dust settling around the fallen hero's cooling corpse.
And its face contorted in rage and confusion when it realized what it saw.

For if one man could stand in the face of danger, risking his very ability to stand another day to rebuild what he'd lost so that others could do so in his stead…
Then perhaps the monster should be given more pause than just one brave soul.

And so they stood, and so they died, and so the war began. As new warriors followed the growing story.

Because now those who fell no longer fell for one idea, but for many. For hopes or for ideals, for a distant future or to light the encroaching darkness, to avenge those they had lost or simply a desire to usurp the monster's throne.

And still the monster stood alone.
No matter what it did to hold its power…
The memories of the fallen would only grow mightier
And the magics of the demon would only grow dim with burden.
From the moment that beacon of hope had been lit,
The outcome had already been decided.

And so it stood, and so it died, and so it crumbled to dust. And so the people rejoiced, mourned, and rebuilt.

This is, of course, just a story.

Perhaps you don't understand what I mean, when I say all of this. I suppose that's okay, it's not what you're here for after all. The monster had no use for the parables of others, and I suspect that neither do you.

I suppose this is just to make you think, about what was, what is, and what could have been. About why we're here and what it is we fight for.

Because with something like this, the reason we're even here may have just been the difference between success and failure.

So which are we?
The hero?
The villain?
The rest?
Or perhaps something else entirely?

Maybe we're just people, here to fight something greater than ourselves, a group that is greater than the sum of its parts. But maybe… we're just a little bit more than that.

And maybe…

Maybe it doesn't matter, because you never stood a chance in the first place.

"I told you an hour or so ago to use your remaining time wisely, Verraad. Just because you chose to use it poorly doesn't mean that we'll hold back.
Don't both watching your back, that'll just make it easier to kick you in the balls.
"
And there it ends.

/RPnull

From somewhere, you feel it... a deep, dark rage, yet to be acted upon, held in check by desire...

(The First Player...)

I look at my X-Blade. With a reluctant sigh, I bow my head and pass it over to Altair.

"It would not be inaccurate to literally call it my Heart or my Soul. It can turn a person's heart into a Keyblade, or Key-Heart them. It'll allow whoever does it to survive anything... including their own mortal Action." I sigh. "Unlike the real thing, it can only do this once. But if it's all the same to you... I'd like it back after everything's over, expended or not.Y'know, because it's my Heart..."

I look up, with tears in my eyes as I look to all of the Players here, NPC or not. "Because... I trust you guys. We may not be friends, exactly, but we're something close. And I hope that maybe one day we can bridge the gap and actually become close friends."

I sigh and wipe away my tears. I then create my own video message to be released during the final distraction/assault. Not to Reality.

To Verraad.

"hey. you've been busy, huh?" I take a deep breath. "i've got a question for ya. do you think think even the worst person can change? that anyone can be a good person, if they just try?'

I open my mouth as if to say something else, then I laugh bitterly.

"i've got my own answer." I pause a beat, then wink. "What? Thought I was going to just quote Sans this entire time? Nah. I'm not THAT lazy. Though, if you keep going down this path... it wouldn't be wrong in the slightest. "

I continue after trailing off for a bit, lost in thought. "...I think the answer is conditional on one thing. One, simple little thing."

"You have to want to be good to stand a chance. It can't be a passing whim, or a trendy thing. It can't be for tactical advantage, really, for it to stick. It's gotta be a genuine desire. A desire to be good for whatever reason it takes to get there. To pursue it wholeheartedly, even knowing that there'd be struggle, and to persevere in spite of that."

I look RIGHT at Verraad. 'You're not that kind of person now."

"Your truth about why you're doing this was bullshit and we both know it. And I think I know why. You've forgotten why you are on this crusade. You don't know why, but you desire nothing more than to wipe everything out and make something new. But why?" My look turns into a stare. "You can't answer that. And if you can't answer that, then you can't possibly win. Because the moment things go south, your invincible confidence will *shatter* and we both know this is true, even if you won't - or maybe can't admit that things can still go horribly, horribly wrong. Not after what God told you."

I straighten up, my stare not lessening in the slightest. "You know what? I'm going to finish the damn quote. It might do you some good to hear it."

"Because I have a better question. Do you want to have a bad time? Because if you keep this up... you're really not going like what happens next."

"Either you'll die by our hands if you try..." Then, at last, my stare - nay, GLARE - breaks to reveal unrestrained pity. "Or, without your direction, you're going to wish we had if you win. And it's if. Because if you don't know what you're fighting for... how can you possibly win?"

I end the tape there. Then, I focus my remaining Actions...

And creates solid illusion body doubles of everyone about to go into battle.

"If Verraad gets suspicious, you can use these. Might want to buff them up first, though, so they match our strength and keep Verraad from seeing right through it." I turn to The Writer. "If you can think of a way to improve it, feel free to make this Action better."

===============================================================

Action 1: Video for Verraad (Do not send until the Distraction has started!)

Actions 2 + 3: Realistic Utterly Fake Solid Illusion Body Doubles of the Player Cast - Personality not included, results may vary, not applicable outside of Reality and banned from happening in Reality 2 by JOEbobian Law, may it forever haunt Verraad in any Realities he creates should we lose.

Altair: Thank you for this, Alastair. We'll keep track of it. Maybe it'll save somebody's life out there.

You record your video, and hand over the body doubles.

Quinn: These are perfect. Thanks a bunch.

Quinn: We'll need to use some proper deception here. If he figures out what we're doing, he might change his timetable to wipe us out first.

"I would like to point out that that is Incredibly unlikely. I'd say something like, 'that kind of thing doesn't happen in real life', but, well... it did. However!"
"Suppose it was the way you said. just a little more, and the Godmodder dies. What are the odds of us fighting Just hard enough that he's one health from death? It's... too neat, I suppose. Remember the deleter arc? One action, or player maybe, fewer, and it'd have run out of time, right? riiiiiight? Well, it looks that way. But what are the odds? For it to happen just that once, everyone has to not use any more CP then they really did before it got wiped, everyone has to post as many times as they did, spend as many of their items as they did, use the entities the same way they did, everything, because the margin of victory is supposedly One Action. one more CP use would mean 1 more progress would mean things happening 1 action faster and having an one action larger safety gap. On the other hand, 1 less CP used, 1 less item expended, one less efficient entity, one missing post, one lacklustre action, and poof! No us!"
"This is the kind of thing a normal person would expect to happen less then once in their life. In fact, I'd have expected it to never happen to me, ever. because if I'm every in a situation where it Can happen, it's a whole lot easier for myself to pop out of existance from that, then it is for me to win by one action. and it's also a lot easier for me to win by somewhere between 7 and 23, and so on."
"That kind of thing... it just doesn't happen."
"And now, its happened again! One more action, you think. One better post. just a little harder, another item expended."
"And its happened before, too. Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker, remember that? Yeah, there's a blast from the past... Anyway. How did I win? I had one turn. It was a roll of the dice, so to speak; on that last turn, it could have been 'jazz' or 'razz'. It came down to a roll of the dice with one turn left, Down to the wire."
"Even Xerath, back in the sealed duel, arguably was like that. he ended up mortally wounded right near the end, but that one's pretty shakey since we could have just healed him."
"Again, and Again, and Again. Challenges go down to the wire. 'just one more action, surely!'."
"No. The Godmodder wasn't almost dead. We didn't almost fail the deleter. We didn't nearly save Xerath in the sealed duel. I didn't nearly have enough skill to win without rolling the metaphorical dice."
"If we were just a little better, the Godmodders entities would be just a little stronger. If we had used just a little more charge, the deleters monsters would have fought back beyond their limits. If we had healed Xerath just a little more, he'd just run heaDFIRST INTO ANOTHER WAVE OF ANTIMATTER I SWEAR TO- If I'd been just a bit more skilled, the Godmodder would have conglomerated my limbs into a single removal unit or had a higher-number Uno card."
"Maybe there's a third party out there, thinking its being subtle about nudging everything right down to the wire while keeping it from tipping. Maybe it's a rule of the world. And admittedly, three of these examples are directly based on the Godmodder. I'm pretty sure his power strengthens when he's losing, which is how neither side has dominated the entire game with unstoppable buildup, and probably contributes to this type of thing. But there's something going on, and fighting just that little bit harder won't fix it."
"Personally, I think there's a third party involved. the down to the wire events have come out in both sides favour, so they're probably pretty indifferent, or have a different criteria. I bet they think they're subtle."
"But... that kind of thing doesn't just happen in real life, does it? Not for no reason. They can hide their interference, and I have no clue where it was if it's real, but when you force an unlikely outcome... you can't hide that it keeps happening. You can't hide the strangeness of the outcome without messing with minds directly."

"...oh, and the writter showed up as the Godmodder was ascending. if the ruins were one or two rounds of effort's worth harder, again, we'd have won. Godmodder wasn't there for the Writer's struggle, so. another point in my arguments favor."
"In conclusion: Don't beat yourself up over not succeeded when you were 'so close'. we weren't 'so close'. It only looks like it."
"...Perhaps we're not in a world beyond the reach of 'god' after all."
/nullpost.

'Well looks like this is the best plan we're going to have.' I think to myself as I listen to some of the speeches being given. "Well Quinn, Altair, Cera, Jamie, Ash, Cloak, I wish you all the best of luck on your end. We'll try and get through our part as quickly as possible. In case we don't see each-other again then I want to say it was good working with you all." With that I hand over what CP I would have gotten this round to Quinn as well as my attack shield to him and the 1 boost stone I have over to their group as a whole.

"Hey Quinn, If your able let the remaining Peacekeepers know that I wish them the best of luck as well and they have my utmost respect that they are still fighting despite all of this, Good luck to you Commander." I say and I give a crisp salute to Quinn.

'I hope we will all make it through.' I quietly think to myself as I get ready.

Quinn gives one salute.

Quinn: Understood, captain.

Eyowe hands the GODMODDER ARMOR to the NPCs along with a paper with the armor's description from when it was first obtained written on it.

He also hands them a yo-yo made of stone. Guess he did manage to make one out of banging 23 rocks together somehow.

Ash: Is that... an automatic groin puncher? Okay Jamie, you should wear this.

Jamie: Wha- don't give it to ME!

Altair's group given stone yo-yo!

I donate all of my items and CP (if I even have any of that left). It's not much, but at least its something.

Altair: Thank you. We will use this well.

----------

Right... looks like its time to go.

Except for the handful of items a few of you have decided to keep, you hand over everything you have to the other Players. Judging by the crowd of entities down below... they're probably going to need it.

TOTAL CP GIVEN TO ALTAIR'S GROUP: 124
TOTAL ITEMS GIVEN TO ALTAIR'S GROUP: Nice bed, 3 Boost Stones, cyan orb, cleansed multiplier orb, 2 Godmodder Locks, Espionage ghost, self damage ticket, Overpowering Poison+1, EMP, Mopium, grenades, stone yo-yo, X-blade, super sharp gold sword, burny iron sword, 3 attack shields, an anti-infantry railgun, a pocket reactor, power armor, Tactician soul in a bottle, scanner cannon, a Shotgun of Dope, 3 cola grenades, super soldier serum, BUFFNESS and an empty save point, a jawbreaker shield and hax eyes, echolocation, a +10,000 HP sword, a delicious cake, one use of Somno powers, Player Eye, Player Knife, RGB control panel, four-leaf clover, Impervium Armour, Wound healer, Coin Flipper, Mook Kill Switch, more of a BBB, a +1,000A Iron sword, a 10,000 damage token, 1 Multiplier Orb, greatsword, a Bonfire, an Ultimate Orb of Shielding, an Orb of Resurrection (Revives one dead allied entity at full strength, a defaced copy of Godmodding Vol. 1, 2 Medkits, a paradox medkit, three melodic transmitters, a redirifle, Bravely Default Asterisks, a mirror frame, black filling, a mostly unusable charge booster, a Wishful Whammy, a CP Converter, and finally, the 100,000 CP Crystal.

Jamie: That's... a lot of stuff!

Altair: I pray it will be enough. That said, with this haul, we should hopefully be alright.

You had enough loot to keep the NPCs well-stocked!

----------

Before you leave, a few Players decided that they had done enough. They were too nervous to face the final battle, and wanted to spend time with those important to them, or do something they'd been wanting to do.

They leave the group. Your party is a little smaller, but all who remain are completely determined. No looking back, now.

OOC: Several Players have been removed for being AFK for too long. We've lost Cephalos_Jr, Eevee Shadow Bacon, I'mTotallyNot-R.O.B, Moonstar101, O.R.I.G.I.N., and Vylad. This brings us to 28 Players, which is still a significant number. Hopefully, the Player list shouldn't need any more adjustments until the final battle is over. Do note that if you are one of these removed Players and decide to come back from an AFK period, you'll be allowed to get back all your... well... I guess it doesn't really matter any more.

----------

Okay. No more delays. No more tricks. Earth is out there. It's been a while since you were there, but its time to visit once again.

You close your eyes, hold each other's hands to not get separated, and teleport!

----------

...

You open your eyes. All around you is the ocean. You're on a small island, mostly just sand with a few trees. Above you is... well. The sky seems to still be mostly blue, but its a very dark blue. The sun is very large, and very bright, but the temperature is normal. Who knows what all this Plane-teleporting is causing climate-wise...

Hopefully, the other Players should be preventing societal collapse. For now, this island...

In the center, you see a black marker jutting out of the ground. On it is a message, written in Omnispeech. Next to the marker lies a hammer and chisel.

The Writer is here, too. He's come to help after you convinced him to have a change of heart.

The Writer: Alright. Take that hammer and chisel, and carve out the Godmodder's name.

The Writer: Regarding the defenses. I really can't say. The challenge scales with the power of whoever you're dealing with. And the Ruins have an odd way of adjusting themselves to meet various situations.

The Writer: From what accounts I could find of the ruins, Players with disabilities or special powers would find challenges suited to just those powers. Myself, I faced, uh... let's call it a spelling bee. I won't bore you with the details.

You walk up to the marker, and reach the omnispeech.

WELCOME QUESTANT
CHISEL THE NAME OF YOUR TARGET*, AND HERE YOU SHALT FIND THEIR WEAKNESS

*Editor's note: Do NOT chisel in the name of the Godmodder!!

Well, here goes! You take a deep breath, activate your Player Powers to immediately gain mastery of the art of chiseling, and chisel in one name.

VERRAAD

Sensing your completion as you pause, the Marker glows a bright blue, and then slowly sinks into the ground.

For a moment, nothing happens. Everybody waits patiently.

And then, rumbling. More! Its an earthquake!

...But a very minor one. The trembling is surprisingly contained as you see the top of a pyramid poke up out from the waves a short ways from the opposite shore, and then see the REST of the pyramid come up... it's absolutely massive!

This is no ordinary Egyptian pyramid either. It's complete Black, with occasional blue lines running across its surface. As more and more of it rises up, it stretches towards the giant sun, and it becomes difficult to see the top with the bright light. You look away to avoid hurting your eyes.

Finally, it stops. Just in front of you, behind the marker, is a small indentation in the pyramid leading to a set of double doors. Ah - the way in!

The pyramid is now well over the edge of the little island, and a good portion of it seems to be above the water. There's probably a lot of underground space, too.

You take a step forward, and immediately smack your face against an invisible forcefield.

The Writer: Ah. All of The Ruins information I could find just says that trying to use them to find the Godmodder's weakness is "a bad idea". This must be one of the reasons why.

The Forcefield is a serious defense. You could break through with about three turns of attacking at your current power level.

It'll detract some time from what you have before the Godmodder destroys Reality. But luckily, the Writer is here to help.

The forcefield shimmers, completely impenetrable except for a large, gaping hole right about there.

The Writer: Go, go now! It'll only hold for a bit.

You all rush through the hole. You did it! Thanks to your decision to convince The Writer, he was able to help you.

The Writer: Listen, you all go on ahead. I'm not sure I'd be much use in there, and besides... I think this place is being watched.

You feel it, too... a malevolent presence nearby.

The Writer heads off, and you turn around and head through the double doors. Into The Ruins...

------------

You arrive in the entry room.

In front of you are three doors. Each has a frame above it with a particular picture.

The first door's frame contains a picture of a racecar. Inside, you get the feeling you'll be entered into a racing minigame. Winning will require strategy and creativity.

The second door's frame contains a picture of a giant black question mark. Inside, you can expect to find a maze of rooms designed to trick and trap you if you don't make just the right decisions...

The third door's frame contains a picture of a shield. Inside, you can expect a sort of defense mission, where you'll need to defend something in a relatively standard battle with a handful of twists.

You get the feeling that you'll need to complete all of these challenges before you can get the Critical Soul Weakness. And with the time situation being what it is... you'll need to split into three groups.

----------

OOC:

The Ruins have three paths. You'll have to choose one to go down, and play the minigames behind.

Do note: The difficulty of each path will automatically adjust to the number of Players that choose it. Don't feel obligated to choose a specific path just to keep group numbers balanced. Go down one you want to go down. You will be randomly assigned if you don't select any path within 3 IRL days time.

Also, these Ruins have several curses... the first is the Curse of No Entities, which prevents the summoning of any entities. The second is the Curse of Extreme Item Weakening, which prevents creation of new items and greatly weakens the effects of items you have. The third is the Curse of No Charging, which prevents any variety of charging.

Good luck!

Storypost XVII - Encounter
Verraad walks on the stone ground of the HEXAGONAFIELD, and takes it all in one last time. The planets, stars, and slabs of land floating in their various formations. The chaos all around. For a moment, there is peace. An odd sort of nostalgia awakens in him as he realizes there's a lot of things that are never going to happen again.

He's snapped out of his reverie by an echoing voice coming from many miles in a particular direction.

Altair: ATTENTION ALL OF REALITY! ALL WHO REMAIN TO RESIST THE GODMODDER! ALL WHO WANT TO KEEP LIVING!

Altair: WE HAVE GATHERED AT YORESHIELD'S ANCIENT FORTRESS, WHERE WE SHALL MAKE A FINAL STAND TO DEFEAT THE GODMODDER!

Altair: NOW, AS WE SPEAK, PLAYERS ARE SETTING UP PORTALS IN VARIOUS PLANES, TO ALLOW THOSE WHO WISH TO FIGHT A CHANCE TO DO SO!

Altair: WE NEED EVERYONE WE CAN GET! PLEASE, IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS GOOD - JOIN US!

Verraad sighs. Of course. He might as well humor them, if only to see the expressions on their faces once he's a few seconds away from unleashing his attack.

He immediately pinpoints the exact location of Altair, and turns to head to where he is. As he does so, he hears something from behind him. It sounds like the entirety of Evacucorp's vast but inefficient military force warping in.

He turns around to find that, indeed, he was correct. Arrayed before his immortal and invincible self is a squad of several million machines of various sizes and ranks, arranged into very orderly and very standard formations. At their front is a short man dressed in a very nice black suit, carrying a stack of papers.

Cornelius: Ahem! I am Cornelius! Evacucorp's senior executive Tier IV representative!

Cornelius: After 56 board meetings, 27,653 signatures, and 1,009,857 informal approvals and final sign-offs, we have finally authorized a full-scale military action for the very first time in Evacucorp's very long history!

Verraad just stares. How stupid can these people be?

He points towards the sky, and a small ball of lava begins forming. It's about the diameter of a very large football field. Small is, of course, relative.

Cornelius: Ahem! Evacucorp military policy mandates that you are given precisely three (3) chances to immediately surrender before military action will be taken.

Cornelius: Godmodder, I must now give you offer #1. Will you surrender, conditionally or unconditionally, to Evacucorp's forces?

The ball of lava grows larger and larger. It isn't being summoned from anywhere. With his new powers, Verraad is creating it. It isn't a godmodder construct that disappears when it stops being relevant. Its very real.

Cornelius holds out a piece of paper.

Cornelius: Policy mandates that the enemy be given five (5) minutes to formally accept or deny the opportunity of surrender. However, godmodder, if you wish to deny the surrender, please sign here, here, and here.

Cornelius: Its very important to document these things, you see.

The ball of lava has grown very quickly. It is now about the size of the death star. Verraad moves his pointer finger downwards slowly, the ball of lava following it...

Cornelius: Ahem! Godmodder! If you fail to respond in any way, there is a separate form you must fill out.

Cornelius pulls out another piece of paper.

Cornelius: Now, you still have 4 minutes and 30 seconds, but if you decide not to respond to our first offer of surrender, please sign here, here, and -

Verraad stops moving his finger slowly, and begins moving it very quickly. Immediately, the ball of lava follows, slamming into the HEXAGONAFIELD, singing away the stone that makes it up! As the ball of lava hits, the robots and the personnel manning them prove unable to withstand the heat, and are entirely vaporized! In an instant, Evacucorp's army is reduced to nothing!

Verraad pauses, Cornelius's aggravating chatter now gone forever. Hmm... this ball of lava is a very ugly addition. And if it won't disappear, it needs to go SOMEwhere. Being a Godmodder is all about giving them people closure, mostly by killing them.

Verraad opens a portal in the ground beneath the ball of lava, straight into Evacucorp's massive complex! The ball of lava begins to slowly sink in, flooding Evacucorp's building from the top down!

----------

Within the incomprehensibly vast building, order is maintained. Most sit at their desks until the heat kills them. A few get melted on their way to formally file a motion to turn up the AC. An even smaller number, most at the lower levels of the bureaucracy, end up bolting from their desks and making it to one of the exit portals in time. The souls trapped in the waiting room generally don't do anything, primarily glad to have any sort of change at all. A few souls attempt to storm the help desks and find a way out as the lava seeps in, to varying degrees of success or failure. Eventually, roughly 90% of Evacucorp ends up flooded, and the rest becomes a very realistic simulation of hell. The majority of Evacucorp's records are destroyed, and while the most important records do survive, they are trapped in magically-protected filing cabinets floating in an endless ocean of lava, and will surely take a mountain of effort to retrieve.

For all intents and purposes, Evacucorp is gone.

----------

Verraad considers. Perhaps he was too cruel. They did give him an excellent opportunity to test his new abilities. But, no... the result's going to be the same no matter what, so it doesn't really matter.

In any event, Verraad turns back towards the fortress, floats up a few feet above the ground, and begins charging. Unholy Divine Obliteration.

As he charges, he begins moving very rapidly towards the last stand of all who are left to stand against him. While charging such a powerful attack, he can't use the majority of his power. Of course, he'll have his rapidly-growing and nigh-invincible army to do the work for him. And while he could hold off until all his enemies were destroyed, the longer he waits to charge, the longer he gives the Players to pull off some kind of absurd plan. No, far better to begin charging sooner rather than later.

The last stand will soon begin.

The Ruins - I
I will take the way to the defence minigames

You head over to the door, and wait for the others to line up with you...

I'll go to the Mysterious Rooms.

[1x] I scan Something
[1x]I give the Second Body an Attack shield, making it able to survive one use.
[1x] I tape a force field projector to the Second Body, giving me hard-light powers if I'm forced to pilot it instead of being myself by circumstances.

eh, the black question mark i guess.

Something is definitely something.

The Curse of No Items walks in and slaps you in the face. You are not exempt from curses.

Let's take the defense minigame.

But I could probably use precognition to beat the Mysterious Rooms-

Pretty sure this place has anti-precog defenses. Otherwise the mysterious rooms wouldn't be that mysterious.

Focused Action: I charge up a fusion lance shot, hold the charge, and use it to obliterate the first enemy that shows up in the defense mission.

Due to the curse of no charging, it dissipates!

"I live for battle."

I approach the defense minigame.

I'll go to the defense room, unless more people will be needed for the other rooms.

It's off to the races for ES and Amelia, seeing as someone has to do it.

The man in combat gear heads into the defense minigame room. "Oh thank God, finally a semblance of things that can be solved with pure strength of Player Power. ...wait. That sentence was probably wrong on so many levels. Well, the alternatives don't sound any better."

I head to the race minigame, with an unholy mixture of mario kart and initial D soundtracks blaring.

Considering its only Karp heading into the Mystery rooms, I jog to catch up to them.

'Well, Time to get cracking.' I think to myself as I look over the rooms that lead to minigames. 'A defense based minigame I think will be more my speed.' I note to myself as head towards the door leading to the Defense Minigame.

Defense minigame I enter

Moniker, I'm supposed to have a Attack Shield on me.

I go in for the Race minigame, and use my actions to create a banana peel bomb. The classics are the best, in my opinion.

Okay. Whoops.

You try to create a banana peel bomb, but the curse of no items stops you!

The quiet watcher enters the mysterious rooms, certain that if he would be trapped he could always exit through his own dimensional doors and try it from the beginning, armed with the knowledge of the paths that would lead him into a trap. Its trickery was something that would be a problem, but since he wasn't limited in his capabilities it wouldn't be all that bad overall. Yet.

Eyowe bases his decision on a round of Spin the Bottle, except the bottle is rigged to always land on the Defense Minigame.

To the mysterious rooms I go!

I'll go to the Mysterious Rooms. Discovery, here we go!

I join the Shield Room, my life for Other!!

I look to the three doors. The Defense one is already looking a little bloated, so I decide to pick one of the other two doors.

I go for the Racing game, since I want to do stuff strategically and creatively, and-

I begin to violently cough. I look at my hands to find...

Nothing. Or rather, a corrosive interpretation of nothing.

The kind described by The Quiet Watcher. I...

I feel like I've forgotten something of vital importance. Perhaps to my well being.

Worried for everyone else and worried for myself, I focus all of my Actions to infuse everyone with a bit of Good Luck.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello and nice to meet you! I know you're terribly used to the monologues of my current client, but I'm afraid that, if he's not taking care of the vital matter of saving Reality via shenanigans and reality warping, there needs to be something taken care of. A matter of utmost importance if someone is to understand who he is, why he is doing all of this, and ultimately, what his fate shall be.

But on to introductions! You may call me The Narrator. You might know me for my highly experimental and riveting discourse on the nature of Free Will via The Stanley Parable and the... unfortunate permutations that arose within.

However, still being an incredibly qualified storyteller, I took it upon myself to tell a particular story upon hearing it. It is, quite simply, one of the most exquisite tragedies I've personally had the pleasure of hearing! Sadly we're not exactly in an interactive medium nor one with visuals, but I assure you I'll do my utmost to deliver every excruciating moment and painful moment from the relevant beginnings up until his final breath.

I am, of course, talking to you about the story I am going to Narrate to you now.

This is the tragic story... of a man named Alastair Dragovich.

Hmm... You know what? This is a good stopping point, after all of that preambling. I think I shall begin it properly next time, once he has the zany racing game underway. Ah, the duality of Narrative of Gameplay, what a fickle yet fascinating contrast.

Just a bit of Good Luck...

"Let's have a race!" I enter the race room and transform Ultimo Durana into a really d*mn cool chainsaw motorcycle. "LET'S RIDE!"

I go to the Mysterious Rooms

Piono heads into the racing minigame room.

it's almost over...

So... you're back now, properly? Alright.

defense minigame? defense minigame i go with all of my delicious gear

A series of paths that us Players must split up to complete. Unknown challenges await in each room, Player Powers slowly draining away to make the challenges harder and harder. Add to that the fact that these challenges will no doubt ramp up their intensity as we progress through them and you can really see the fun that awaits us!

I believe I'll hold back for a moment and let everyone else sort themselves out. Whichever path has the least amount of Players; I will go down that path.

You auto-assign yourself to the path with the least Players!

[aleph+bet+gimel]

Leah can't 'do' anything other than continue her tale, so for now she figures she'll just go to the Races.

After I got my wings... Well. Needless to say the rescue of Meghan and Grimm went specacuarly smooth. I didn't even question it, didn't even question myself-everything about using those six metallic things felt like reflex. Like I should've always been some kind of metallic angel. I blew right past the other gladiators and through walls to reach them, slung them up on my back and took off.

Flying is... Something else, for the first time. Wind on your face, hair flying back in the air. They almost slung right off my shoulders as I couldn't really balance them as I moved and they were already heavy, but my wings just slid into place and caught them... It was all so very fast, so very very fast. I was fast. I was at the mountain in almost seconds! Just in time for them to stop screaming.

"What was that, Leah?! What happened, you have like wings now?! Oh god where are we?!" Meghan shouted.

"What happened, why do you have wings, what did you do?!" Grimm shouted.

After a small pause, I spoke up. "I, I mdae a deal with the old man voice! Uh, he gave me these wings-really painful! The downside is that now those stupid gryphons know exactly where we are at all times but I didn't see another way out of there! He told me to-"

"YOU WHAT?!" Grimm shouted, he wasn't happy. "LEAH, I DON'T TRUST THAT GUY, AND YOU WENT AND DID THAT?!"

"I didn't see a way out of it!" I shouted, defensively. I think Grimm just kind of sighed-like, I think he realized that I was kind of definitely right.

Meg spoke up. "But he sounds so nice, he hasn't done anythign bad to us yet! He's kept us on track to reaching Nicole again and-"

"AND NOTHING! We don't even know that! I mean, I'll give him that-the whole 'wings' thing has literally saved our lives, whatever. But that doesn't mean he isn't stringing us along here!" Grimm shouted. "We're going on the paths he's choosing with no say in the matter or any real ability to tell if we'll find Nicole, or anyone else, much less a promise of going back home, dealing with those Gryphons-anything like that! And I for one am frustrated to all hell over it!"

"But someone who's literally just given Leah wings to save our lives-"

"He just thinks we're useful for some stupid purpose, I bet!" Grimm shouted.

"Hold all of those thoughts, guys, we need to keep moving! Gryphons! Gladia-"

There was this sound. It was a really loud and really big sound, it was like someone performed the most powerful base drop in the world. I felt wind rush, and a bright light, and I turned around-it wasn't a nuke or anything, but it was, it was the colloseium from before, except now it was on fire-and not just like 'a few fires on the structure itself,' it was like the whole thing was a friggin bonfire!

"h-HOLY SHIT!" I screamed. I think Grimm screamed as much too. Meghan was just wide-eyed.

"D-did the Gryphons... Oh, oh god. The gryphons did that, didn't they?" Meg stuttered. I guess this was getting way too much for her.

"The old man voice called them the ignition gryphon... something," I said. Really past me? Can't even remember the whole name? "I guess that's where the ignition comes in... Oh god."

"Good riddance," Grimm said, pretty much not caring. "Where to next?"

"Old man voice said we needed blueberries and didn't say why, can we sort out what that's about first?" I said.

"Blueberries are... Uh, they're probably being used because of their color. Different colors used to color the leylines in the magic circle can change the destination... And I ran out of blue and purple dyes a while back, too, so its a substitute, I guess?"

"Alright, great, still going on his path."

"I don't know of any others!" Meghan said.

"I'm just frustrated," Grim shouted as we started to walk away and through the mountain pass. "You two are basically more useful than me, and we're all being strung along by a weirdass voice who's leading us on without telling us about himself at all! Anyone who never talks about themself is not to be trusted-they're hiding something!"

"Or they just don't have the time to talk about it," Meghan says.

"Meg, I'm with Grimm here. I'm not exactly thrilled about the old man voice, and I'd probably have ditched his instructions a long time ago if I had any idea how, but, like. We don't even have options!"

"Which is what's really pissing me off," Grimm said.

I think we left the conversation off there.

It wasn't exactly an adventure. THe Old Man Voice certainly didn't seem like he was making us work to go on his lovely railroads, to be fair to him-blueberries were just found on the trail, quite a few in fact. We had more than enough for Meghan's portal ritual, and traverssing the mountain pass-especially since I could fly now-was really easy. The Gryphons seemed preoccupied with burning down the house at the gladiatoral arena. Now, uh, I didn't exactly think too highly of the gladiators, but like-can I just stop here for a sec just to point out how completely screwed up that was? Like the worst they did was exactly what was within reasonable legal bounds, give or take-we have been imprisoned and neturalized of threat, as far as they knew. I don't think they checked that we just escaped. As it stands, I'm pretty sure they never checked, ever-they just showed up and started flinging fire. They weren't exactly 'nice people' but I think they were at least decent and civilized enough to not warrant being collectively burnt in a massive inferno, right?

... I think things are going to get rather fast from here-on. Revelations are gonna hit left-right-and-center. Kinda funny given we're about to enter a race...

i will go to the defence room, unless someone wants me to go somewhere else
seems like my godkilling ash bones might be useful there

also sorry about attacking hastily earlier
i thought they we're already rushing to attack us

my mistake

Not to worry, it looks like at the end of the day, maybe nothing happened. Hurting godmodder forces is rarely a bad thing.

A 10/7/7 distribution. Overall, despite everything, mostly even.

You feel the difficulty of the defense challenge grow slightly harder.

Each of you head in front of your respective doors. Each of the groups give one last nod to each other. Its time!

TEAM SPLIT UP!

THE RUINS:

Player Power: [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] 90%

DEFENSE:
Pushing open the doors is a surprising effort. Each member of each group has to throw their back into shoving it open! As everyone works together, the doors suddenly fly open - only for you to realize there's nothing on the other side!

Stumbling over each other, you are unable to back up in time, and end up all falling right down into this place! Beneath you, you see a collection of lights around a variety of structures, and darkness everywhere else...

Somebody thinks to summon an air mattress immediately below you, so with a big FLOMF you all land with relative safety.

Taking a moment to survey the area, you see the godmodder standing in the center, facing you!

...Wait, no, its just a statue. Their face and hands are pointing downwards. Actually... you can see the hands slowly moving...

Something whispers in your ears...

The statue contains the answers. The statue is life. All else is death.

Many things are coming to destroy the statue. You must destroy them, instead.

The only way to escape is to survive.

Everyone takes a fighting stance. For a moment, everything is silent. Then, you hear breathing... growls and roars in the distance... getting closer... this place is under siege!

You try to summon some lights to illuminate the area. But they're all snuffed out immediately! You'll have to rely on the electric lightning nearby.

The enemies approach. Some look... familiar?

Gameplay Explanation:

The Godmodder statue at the center must be defended! Also, you yourselves have been given an HP bar, and your Player Power is reduced to 1,000 for the duration of this challenge! Defeat the enemies before they reach the Godmodder statue! If you run out of HP, then you'll be eliminated for the rest of the challenge, so think before you sacrifice yourself!

Immediately nearby are some defenses, but a lot of them need some work... try to get them back up and running!

Attack shields cost 2 actions to spawn in this place.

THE DARKNESS:

Endless Blackness (more enemies every turn!)

[V]Black Wolf: 3,000 HP, 2,000A

The ancient defenses need to be repaired... building will help the walls, digging will help the trenches, and technological repair will help the shield generator. Get them up to 100% and you'll have extra help against these foes.

RACING:
The Players push open the doors with absolutely nothing special happening. Walking through, they end up in a massive gymnasium. They see two other teams preparing for the race, with a familiar face having joined one of the teams. Near the other two teams are three tracks of road, embedded right into the gymnasium floor, stretching far into the distance... at the edge of your vision, you can start to see the walls of the gymnasium slowly convert into a more plains-like landscape. You imagine the racetrack continues for quite a ways.

An announcer's voice rings out. It's not coming from anywhere in particular.

H-ELLO CONTESTANTS!

FINALLY, OUR THIRD AND FINAL TEAM HAS ARRIVED! TODAY, WE HAVE THREE INCREDIBLE TEAMS COMPETING FOR RUINS ADVANCEMENT AND THE STASIS ORB! FIRST, WE HAVE... RED TEAM, that is, REPLICA TEAM A!

The camera pans (or it would, if it existed) towards four Players that look similar to the Shadows from the Shadow Realm, but more... solid. Actually, there are five Players, and the fifth... is Valla.

THIS TEAM HAS FOUR REPLICAS, AND IS JOINED BY ESTEEMED GUEST VALLA TO COMPETE AS WELL!

NOW FOR OUR SECOND TEAM, WE HAVE... BLUE TEAM, that is, REPLICA TEAM B!

The camera pans towards the second team, with the middle track. Its made up entirely of these Shadow Players... you suppose they're called Replicas?

AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS TEAM IS EXCLUSIVELY REPLICAS! REPLICAS ARE REANIMATED FORMS OF PREVIOUS PLAYERS WHO ATTEMPTED TO BRAVE THE RUINS, BROUGHT OUT ONLY FOR THE TOUGHEST CHALLENGES!

FINALLY, FOR OUR THIRD TEAM, WE HAVE... GREEN TEAM, that is, LOSER TEAM!

The camera pans over to you. If the camera footage actually existed, it would be edited to make you look fat.

NOW, FOR A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE RACE'S RULES!

THE MAIN RULE IS THAT YOU HAVE TO GET TO THE FINISH LINE FIRST. OTHER THAN THAT, THE ONLY RULE IS: ABSOLUTELY NO TELEPORTATION! ALL TELEPORTATION IS AUTOMATICALLY BLOCKED - ESPECIALLY THE KINDS OF TELEPORTATION THAT TECHNICALLY AREN'T TELEPORTATION!

MURDERING OTHER RACERS IS ALLOWED. IN FACT, ITS ENCOURAGED!

THE RACETRACK IS COMPOSED OF PRECISELY 100 "UNITS". EACH TURN, YOUR VEHICLE WILL TRAVEL A NUMBER OF UNITS BASED ON HOW MUCH YOU'VE INVESTED IN MAKING IT GO FASTER!

YOUR VEHICLE ALSO HAS OTHER THINGS, LIKE DURABILITY, OBSTACLE PROTECTIONS, AND EQUIPPED WEAPONRY WHICH CAN BE USED TO ATTACK THE OTHER VEHICLES!

EACH TURN, AN OBSTACLE WILL APPEAR IN FRONT OF YOUR VEHICLE, AND YOU'LL NEED TO USE YOUR PLAYER POWERS TO REACT! STAY ON TOP OF THINGS, AS FAILING TO SUFFICIENTLY COUNTER AN OBSTACLE WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES!

WHILE YOU WILL NOT BE INFORMED OF THE SPECIFIC OBSTACLES AHEAD OF TIME, THREE HINTS ARE PROVIDED! LISTEN CAREFULLY! YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED THESE TYPES OF PROTECTIONS!

1: ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTIONS!
2: PROTECTIONS AGAINST HORDES!
3: PROTECTIONS AGAINST LARGE GAPS AND OBSTRUCTIONS!

DESTROY AND DAMAGE ENEMY VEHICLES! SURVIVE OBSTACLES! WINNER REACHES THE FINISH LINE FIRST, OR SLAYS EVERY MEMBER OF THE OTHER TEAMS!

EACH TIME IS GIVEN ONE TURN OF PREP TIME TO UPGRADE AND CUSTOMIZE THE VEHICLE BEFORE THE RACE STARTS! QUESTIONS MAY BE ASKED ABOUT THE RACE'S RULES DURING THIS TIME AS WELL.

GET PREPARING!

A vehicle is wheeled out in front of you. It seems to be an ordinary red wagon. You can tell it will move at the speed of about 1 unit/turn. You're going to need some SERIOUS upgrades.

You try to look at the other team vehicles. No matter how hard you try, you just can't focus on them! You guess your vehicles are hidden before the race starts.

Valla strolls over.

Valla: Why are you here, anyways!

Valla: Trying to find Verraad's soul weakness? I mean, sure, I guess that's a good reason, but you really could have picked a better time!

Valla: I found an alternate entrance to the ruins so I could win the Orb of Stasis and get out of here! It's the last thing I need for my Power Lock!

Valla: Listen. Me and my... teammates...

Valla gestures to the other Replica Players, who don't even glance in her direction.

Valla: ...we're going to win and beat you down! This race is completely rigged against Players who enter to find a critical soul weakness, so maybe if you give up now you can avoid humiliation!

Her angry expression quickly turns into a smile.

Valla: Well, good luck!

Valla returns to her teammates. Nothing about it but to get started working...

GAMEPLAY EXPLANATION:

The announcer explained the majority of the race mechanics. But there's a little more. You have an HP bar (5,000 HP) and having it reduced to 0 eliminates you until the race is over! In addition, your Player Power is reduced to 1,000 for this area, and attack shields cost two actions to make. Attack shields also can't be applied directly to the vehicle, you must apply them indirectly by attaching upgrades!

Good luck racing!

ROOMS:
As you gently push open the doors, a strong gust of wind blows you all the way in rapidly, the doors slamming shut behind you!

Looking around, you find yourselves in a small, dark room, with a singular torch on the wall providing all the lighting.

You feel your powers are weaker... you have 5,000 HP, and losing it eliminates you for the rest of the Rooms challenge! Also, your Player Power is reduced to 1,000, and attack shields can't be made!

In the dark room, you hear something whispering in your ear...

Players... so you wish to challenge the rooms...

Know that as we speak, a pursuer is after you... they are not of the Ruins, but the Ruins will not show mercy on their account...

In this world, choices are important... you have three choices before you, and you must choose wisely... in the boxes, there is information about the choices... but opening a box or choosing takes all of your actions for any turn, so you may not do both... what shall you choose?

You look to your left. There's a green door. You look to your right. There's a blue door. You look straight. There's a red door. Three doors? The door behind you, back to the entryway, seems to have disappeared.

On a table in front of you are 20 boxes, and each appears to need 3 actions to open. You imagine that slips of paper are inside, presenting information about each of the three doors.

What do you do?

Defense - I
Great, power nerfs. Time for a build phase.

Action 1: I upgrade the Deprecated Robot by installing new armor plates, giving it increase durability.

Action 2: I convert one of the Electric Lights into an overpowered floodlight and aim it at the Dark Archers. Since they're dark archers, they're super-sensitive to light and will be blinded by this.

Action 3: I bolster the Forcefield Generator by generating a massive amount of force to add to the force field.

The Deprecated Robot has +1,000 extra HP!

You attempt to modify the Electric Light, but your attempts to use Player Power on it fail. Is it immune to modification?

+12% forcefield generator repair!

1. I build a wall of bedrock around the statue to protect it
2. I make a decoy statue so that the ennemies attack the wrong one
3. I make some delicious food to make the archers cone closer by its smell

You build a wall of bedrock around the statue, giving it +1,000 extra HP!

You create a Decoy statue that can distract an enemy!

One of the Dark Archers sniffs, and comes closer, curious... Dark Archer lured in!

3 actions: The man in combat gear grabs one of the Black Wolves by the scruff of its neck and dropkicks it back into the blackness. A sickening crunch is heard. Or maybe that was unrelated, it's hard to tell in this place.

"Against the Shadows Stand We, Fearfully", mutters the man in combat gear labelled "MTF Omega-12".

Black Wolf slain! Its kind of hard to see if it leaves a corpse. Its too dark.

Focus:

I quickly create a bunch of construction tools. Jackhammers, hammers, safetyhelmets and of course building materials. A Concrete mixer appears and quickly starts pumping the concrete into the frame, the concrete is reinforced with fibers and steel bars inside the concrete walls.

+35% wall construction! You're seeing some decent progress.

Using 3 actions, I provoke the Dark Archers into coming closer.

You provoke one Dark Archer to come closer! Closer... closer... EVEN CLOSER! Eventually, it comes so close that it merges with you, giving you DARK ARCHER powers! Dark Archer functionally eliminated.

x2 Action:
(If there's at least one Dark Archer in range)

Eyowe kicks a Dark Archer in every way possible. He kicks them with a roundhouse kick. He kicks them in the shin. He kicks them in the curb. He kicks them with shoes on. He kicks them with no shoes on. He kicks them with his hands. He kicks them off of his server. He kicks them off of his house. He kicks them into a hole. And most importantly, he kicks them off of fucking existence.

(If there's no Dark Archer in range)
Eyowe moves over to an area pretty close to where everyone is and places several stones in a nice, circular formation and calls it a house.

He then beckons towards the Dark Archers and whispers.

Eyowe: It's Free Real Estate.

x1 Action:
Eyowe approaches the Adamantium Golem. Once he approaches the golem, he approaches it again. He then approaches it again. And again. And again.

Actually, he approached the Adamantium Golem too much that he ends up passing through it and into the opposite side, leaving a hole on the golem.

Dark Archer kicked!

1,500 damage to the Adamantium Golem! Thankfully, no crucial components of the golem were harmed. Except the built-in wifi router. He's going to miss that.

1 action is spent on preparing myself to face the void entities, My popcorn LMG is whirring up while my sword(next to myself) briefly lights up before almost immediately being snuffed out. I also pull out my jawbreaker shield, just incase of any melee attacks, so as to deflect them away from myself. My cola grenades shines for a moment. All of this happens in second, before I jump forward to act as a vanguard for the group. I set myself down at the ancient trench, gun at the ready to fire at any void entity that comes close. (aiming at the wolves first)

Immediately, i spend another action to dig a small area for myself in the trench, giving myself some cover and helping to dig the trench.

My last action is used to strengthen my gun, making the popcorn a tad bit smaller (easier to spread and shoot, meaning buckshots).

You hone your attacks! Your next attack will deal triple damage!

+12% trench digging! You have a nice hole to hide in now.

'Damn it's dark in here.' I think to myself as I find myself in the defense room with the others. 'Well at least there are some lights so we won't be fighting totally blind.' I note to myself as I look at the 3 light sources. Walking around and keeping an ear open for possible enemies I take stock of my surroundings. 'Okay so there is an unfinished trench, There are a pair of Walls that look ancient and are in dire need of repairs and a somewhat broken Generator.' I mentally note down as I look over the area. 'And at the center of it all is what we are meant to defend... A statue of the Godmodder, Egh.' I give a disgusted sigh as I look at the statue. 'Well I guess It could be worse, the statue could be talking right now.' I propose to myself.

I turn away from the statue and look around at the surrounding darkness that seemingly stretches off into infinity. 'I wonder if this is what it would be like in the void of space with no visible stars.' I think a little somberly to myself. Just then I hear something to my right coming from the darkness. Quickly I turn to look and spot our opponents. 'Well I guess it's time to start defending.' I think to myself as I look them over and I try and determined how tough they are going to be but I notice one of them looks somewhat familiar. 'What... I swear I seen you before somewhere bu...' Just then my mind flashes back to near the beginning of all of this. 'What the hell? Is that the same Adamantium Golem that HybridUnity summoned back at the near the start of all of this? But... Why would they be here? they were killed when HybridUnity used them as a makeshift suicide bomb against Verraad.' I think to myself feeling mildly confused. 'I wonder if more entities that we had summon in the past are going to appear to fight us as this fight goes on. Well I guess we will see.' I think to myself as I for now dismiss this from my thoughts and start to focus on the task at hand.

'Right I think first I'll get myself a attack shield and then work on the trench.' I quickly think to myself and close my eyes to focus some energy on my wish. 'I wish for a attack shield to be given to me.' Suddenly in a flash of red light a translucent red shield appears out of thin air and starts to float around my body. 'Well that seems to be working but it seems to have taken more energy then normal. Most be part of the drain of our powers.' I think to myself as I feel like I am lacking more energy then normal. (2 CP used)

'Okay need to start working on digging up the Trench.' I think to myself as I pull a Entrenching tool off of my Belt as I rush over to where the trench is suppose to be dig. Quickly I reach it and I unfold the entrenching tool. 'Right time to start digging.' And with that final thought I press the tip of the entrenching tool into the earth and start shoveling away dirt from the trench. (1 CP used)

You gain an attack shield!

Using a decent entrenching tool, you make swift progress. It isn't long at all before +15% of the trench is dug!

Action 1:
"I was supposed to be the one to fill your dark soul with light!" I hammily shout at the dark general.

To emphasize my statement, I toss a few fans of flaming knives at the general, simultaneously fan firing at him with my golden gun. What's brighter than the sun?

Actions 2 and 3:
I engage in percussive maintenance on the force field generator. That is to say, I punch it repeatedly until it starts to work a little better.

1,500 damage to the Dark general!

Somehow, it works. +22% forcefield generator repair!

(x2)I repair the Ancient Forcefield Generator, examining it, and using the knowledge of the Shade of an Archeologist to assist me in repairing the Forcefield Generator, giving it back the fuel source, repairing old technomagic channels etc.

(x1)I dig up the ancient Trench, how did this thing even get undug?? If it's because of a Super thick layer of dust, I engage Breath's Zephyr's Breeze and blow all of it away into the Black Wolves

You put some excellent touches on the force field generator. It's almost done! +22% repair!

Blowing away a thick layer of dust, you find a part of the trench that's been dug for you! How convenient! +13% trench progress!

-----------

The Deprecated Robot stabs a Black Wolf for 1,000 damage!

The Dark General stands a ways off. At his side, a Black Wolf appears. You can't tell if it ran up from behind him, or if he summoned it. It's too dark...

One Dark Wolf bites into the Godmodder Statue, but finds it to be a decoy instead!

The other Dark Wolf, along with the Adamantium Golem, dash behind your weak defensive line, smack the statue for 4,000 damage, then retreat back to the Darkness! The enemies seem determined to only attack the statue, or things directly in the way of the statue...

Off in the Darkness, another Dark Archer appears, as well as three Dark Infantrymen, and a Seraph... the Seraph appears to have been corrupted, somehow...

---------

One of the Players, moving through the center of your little setup, notices a strange-looking panel on the floor. Stepping on it, they find it teleports them to another place in the darkness! From here, they can see the main base the other Players are at, but far in the distance...

At the area they're at, they see much less. Another wall that needs repairing. A shield generator. And a large, electric generator, with power lines running into the ground... does this power the area's electric lighting? There's no enemies now, but this may be a second front you'll need to defend before long...

Using the teleporter to warp to the power generator's area (and back) costs 1 action!

Race - I
3 ACTION FOCUS - I AM SPEED: Quoting that one starting set of lines from the beginning of Cars, I grant our Red Wagon additional speed! It's a start.

The Red Wagon now moves +3 units faster each turn! It's a start.

"Valla, the situation has... changed, as you likely know. A Power Lock wouldn't go amiss right now, so I'll tell you what. I don't think we need the Orb, so if we get it we'll probably toss it to you. I know you won't accept any kind of binding agreement to basically forfeit, and I'm not asking you to. But because of the fact we'll give you it, as well as the other component we have lying around, it's in your own interests to to screw over Blue Team more than us. If they're in last, then it doesn't matter if Green or Red wins, you get the Orb either way. Just a thought that I'm sure a smart girl like yourself can appreciate the logic in."

Meanwhile, Amelia has focused so hard shes multiplied into an entire pit crew, taken off all the wheels, and applied them... backwards? Then she adds a specialised Big Rigs engine that allows the wagon to reverse at infinite speed! Well, not infinite per say, but it can go a lot faster now than it could before.

Valla: Listen. Your promises? They don't mean anything to me.

Valla: I'm my own person! And if I want something, I'll get it myself!

Valla: I will not grow reliant on your alleged generosity! And I'll win this race!

The specialized big rigs engine allows you to go in reverse, forward! You'll go +3 Units of speed faster each turn, now!

FOCUS

I improve the Little Red Wagon by giving it antigravity engines, which cause it to hover just a little off the ground, enough to ignore ground friction. (immunity to totally groundbound difficulties such as mud and banana peels, and easier to increase speed/simply increased speed)

Antigravity engine gives +1 speed/turn! Also, hovering gives you better ability to deal with ground-based problems! It's only hovering about a foot off the ground, so it shouldn't be relied upon to deal with more serious blockages.

An interesting fact I would like to note to anyone in the race who doesn't have any ideas...
A sufficiently creative focused action aimed at the replica players will instantly kill the one targeted. 3000 damage vs. 5000, plus a major creativity buff is enough to just stomp them in one hit.

Piono asks for a quick clarification:
when you say no teleportation, does that mean no teleportation period, or just no teleporting of ourselves?

FOCUSED ACTION: Bullet Time, some assembly required.
Piono looks around, the other foes scattered amongst the other groups might be a problem... but one that can be handled provided they aren't allowed to chip away at our own ranks indiscriminately...
The solution is, of course, to make everything blockable indescriminately instead of just incoming obstacles.

Piono opens up his inventory. Wait, wasn't his inventory vented out? Yes, it was, but he has now acknowledged that it was nothing more than player construction so now it really has whatever he needs!
He pulls out a full compendium of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, a very fancy computer thing, and a stopwatch.
Then he turns the backpack he was accessing his inventory from upside down, several large pieces of metal fall out of it along with mechanic's tools. He takes the large pieces of metal and using the mechanics tools assembles a large portal. This portal isn't actually teleportation, despite the name. How do I know this?
Because it's actually a visual gag. Piono walks up to the portal and pulls out the purple swirly bits in the center, which actually just turns out to be a rotating cardboard cutout. Behind the portal is a large supply of all the things which one would need to build something engine-y.

Piono picks up a hammer and wrench.
"...I have no idea how to build this thing. Would somebody mind giving me a hand?"

Piono then waits for Tazz's post to come along so he can be told what to do. (Chain action: PART 1)

Quick clarification: No teleportation period.

Chain action with Tazz begun!

Allright, LET'S ROCK!

To begin with, let's build up some speed!

With my first action, I paint the wagon red, because as every reality warper knows DA RED WUNS GO FASTA!

With my second action, I attach a totally spiffin' spoiler so that we can go around turns without crashing.

With my third action, I find a nice decent-sized positive displacement supercharger and mount it to the engine. That ought to cure this wagon's anemia!

Painting the wagon red gives you +1 base speed! Huzzah! A fresh coat of paint does wonders.

You attach a spoiler! This will allow you to make an emergency turn if need be, but you'll need to return to the main racetrack after a short distance!

Supercharged engine is now giving +1 extra speed!

A red wagon? You can't ride in my little red wagon! Front seat's broken an- ahem.

So we have the traditional challenge where we must scramble to create something actually useful while everyone else starts off with something decent. I guess the Ruins are saving its creative stages for later on.

To begin, I use my imagination. Calling back to the youthful illusions of a red wagon serving as everything from a rocket to a tank, I imbue the red wagon with this imaginative view of a red wagon. Specifically, the idea of the red wagon being able to serve as a tank. Let's not let our vehicle get one shot! (x1)

Next I mount a particle shield generator in the back. While useless against direct attacks, it's so effective for dealing with indirect dangers. Heat, cold, a lack of air, flying rocks, and more. The translucent pink particle shield will help keep us save from a hostile environment. (x1)

Finally, I add some spinning blades. Four human sized blades, one for the front, back, left, and right, orbit the red wagon. Held in place by mini-tractor beams scattered across the surface of the red wagon, these oversized ninja stars spin rapidly as microthrusters fire endlessly. Add in the fact the edges as superheated thanks to magical enhancements and it's a decent deterrent to those seeking to get close. (x1)

The Red Wagon is now a Red Tank! It has significantly more seating room, and significantly better durability!

The particle shield generator gives your vehicle a small amount of environmental resistance!

Spinning blades will deal 1,000 damage to anyone who might attempt to board your vehicle!

I take a look at a few things, but as I do so...

I notice that four Koopas are on the Spinning Ninja Stars. Ones made out of paper. I question them, and it seems that they were training to be major antagonists for a Paper Mario Game when a Player pulled them in for some sidequest. I didn't have the heart to tell them what they were, so I told them that if they help us, it'll help their training and then they can go do whatever afterwards. Being ninjas, they're very good offensively, but it seems they're determined to use a team attack, which means they're purely an Offensive Special.

At any rate, I take a look at the anti-grav and the engine, and I realize I can pull off a neat, once this race trick to boost the thing's speed to ludicrous levels. Good for an emergency or Clutch Moment(tm). I make then necessary adjustments and slap a button on it to trigger it.

Then I make sure to add armor plating to all the stuff that makes it Go Fast and Hover. Specifically, the kind of plating that ca n pretty much no-sell any weak attack, even if a lot of them are being launched at once. Like from, say, a horde.

I hide my cough this time. Hope no one noticed. I'll have to check that out soon...

======================================

Action Summary:

Action 1: Attack Special - Koopa Tower = Homes in one one enemy to attack it. Takes a few turns to recharge.

Action 2: Clutch Mode Boost - a 1 time means of making this thing go SUPER FAST and boosting number of units traveled.

Action 3: Horde Protection for Anti-grav and engines components

=====================================================

The Tragedy of Alastair Dragovich (part 1):

Right, sorry about that.

The Tragedy begins a the highest point in a person's life, for the greatest element of the genre is the inevitable fall. And for Alastair, it was his life before he became a Player.

You see, he was one of those people blessed with living in a first world nation - not lacking for food, drink, or freedom of rights. His life wasn't without struggle - his younger sibling had issues that brought genuine hardship to him and his family - but compared to the world at large he was lucky.

However, as with all Tragedies, he had a fatal flaw. One that would be his undoing. To put a name to it would be reductionistic, but that scarcely matters for this story will reveal the full extent of it in due time.

I am talking about his Shame.

He was often filled with shame to the point he was unable to move forward. His shame over his more sinful behaviors would make him more distressed, pushing him to sinful behavior as a means of relief. His shame over any perceived slight would cause him to isolate himself and hide away. His shame over who he was would cause him to not stand up and put himself in any sort of position of authority, opportunity, or ability to receive help.

That said, it was not his shame that led him to the website Link on Spacebattles that would set his world into a downward spiral - he, in fact benefited from being granted power and the ability to make a difference. However, during a critical moment in a battle against a nigh-unstoppable adaptive monstrosity created by the Godmodder that brought him there that he would seal his fate.

His attempt was simple - shoot a 'laser' that would deny the adapter the ability to adapt. However, there was a massive hole in his plan, and everyone shouted at him to change it before he made it impossible to win. He wanted to change it, but Shame turns to fear, and fear turns into inaction. So his attack went through, and he failed to stop it.

Out of Shame, he ran from the Battlefield, hiding from his mistakes. Unable to overcome his Darkness, he wallowed and hid from everything, even as the others went on a journey and fought the Godmodder and pirates.

However, this was a critical error. The Godmodder had a goal using what was at the time an epidemic of what was known as ROBs- Random Omnipotent Beings. He would absorb one to obtain their powers and wreak havoc forever.

In part due to other factors and in part due to his absence, the Godmodder succeeded. And Alastair returned just in time to witness the end of everything at the Godmodder's hands.

You setup the Koopa Tower, a vehicle-mounted method of attack that can be activated as a free action! However, it takes 2 turns to recharge after every use.

The Clutch Booster can give +5 units of speed immediately! It ought to be used in emergencies only.

Your engine now has modest damage resistance!

[aleph+bet+gimel] Leah raises her cobalt arm. "I mean. Omniglot probably knows. He's kinda ridiculous."

"Affirmative. Information on multiple subjects: extensive," Omniglot says.

"Let's see what we can do, then."

Leah and Omniglot approach the mechanical parts. Leah's cobalt arm leeches off crystal to wrap around various artifices of the tools as Omniglot glows a similar cobalt color. Leah also uses her spare golden arm to grab the Jojo compendium, the stopwatch, and the fanciful computer with green lines drawing down from it,

"...Hrm, so, uh. I'm not like, a Jojo person. But I know about it. Binging some fiction one day... Wouldn't you know it, then, that one of the big story arcs in Jojo is about a massive race? I mean, it was done with horses, not cars, but... Yeah I got nothing," Leah says, as with Omniglot's guidance she bolts metal to metal, iron to iron-articulates this joint, tightens this screw. Leah did make some armor back in the Prison break sequence, from actual metal to boot, so she doens't look totally confused, but she definitely does look confused as things that definitely weren't from Piono's pile of scrap start filtering in-like an unhealthy volume of bullets and knives, as well as two statues of the same horse. It isn't as if she's intentionally designing a weapon system according to the instructions Omniglot's giving her, quite the opposite-a way to boost their ability to react to the enviornment around them and thus have a small but definite boost to basically any obstacle or attack that could be levied at them.

As Leah continues speed-reconfiguring the wagon into probably-not-a-wagon from the sudden addition of mass (most notably including enough room for the whole party), shadowy figures come out of thin air to assist her, on top of her myraid of cobalt tendrils. And by 'shadowy figures' I mean literally. They're figurines made of shadow. They utilize an array of psionic powers to bolt in and add materials and metals as reason and time allow, assisting Leah in handy matters, even though Leah increasingly finds herself the only one dirtying herself for all of the work going on. A little while later, another mysterious set of intruders-Dio, Kars, Dio again, Kira, Diavolo, Puccui, the President of the United States of America, and finally Donald Trump all walk in. They are all inexplicably dressed in Matrix Cosplays except for the head, which are basically giant hammerheads. They do exactly what you expect to do-they do stupid poses, use their heads to hammer in things, and imbue the concept of temporal-spatial manipulation upon the probably-not-a-wagon-anymore-officially through sheer proximity, and also probable stupidity, before they spontaneously dissolve into the conceptual essence of progress, which is also added to the I-seriously-doubt-it-can-be-called-a-wagon-anymore.

"...Piono, uh, I have a question," Leah says, rather awkwardly, as she twists around to meet him, tendrils turning transparent as they tinker with technical tools to tune up the tricky track traversing travelling thing, now installing the computational matrix into the rapidly-evolving it-has-stopped-being-a-wagon-now-for-certain, clearly giving it additional properties. "... How do you deal with power? Like. Player power's gonna fade away, but even without them, I'm not... Normal. Having deadly weapons on your person at all times is kind of. Uh. I've been, having difficulties, before I returned. Like-I've been getting jumpy. I, uh, I think I made a few craters because of some twigs cracking underfoot while I was about. Like. That kind of jumpy. I'm, uh, I feel kinda silly for saying this, but I'm kind of terrified. But like, its integrated into, like, my vital organs and my hands now. Like, what do I do afterwards? How have you adapted to it, how do you get around that-that, like, how do you not destroy everything you come across? I... I don't know how. I feel like my player powers help, and Omniglot isn't a loose canon, but I... I don't know how."

"Mechanical improvements complete."

"Oh, good-"

Leah turns to the new vehicle and blinks. It can no longer be said to be a wagon in any way, shape or form. Whatever nonsensical plan Omniglot fed to Leah's arm, it had completely transformed it into a much larger vehicle. Featuring ten seats (more than enough for all participating), a sleek red paintjob with green stripes, somehow all the previous upgrades, and most importantly, in place of four small dinky wheels, two giant concrete/metallic/plastic rollers.

"...Uh, Omniglot, we needed something that enabled us to react to things faster, not a steamroller."

"Accurate assessment. However, steamrollers-or more accurately, 'Road Rollers,' are conceptually imbued with the concept of temporal-spatial manipuation in a non-traversal sense. Combined with on-board computative programming and newly-installed hardware, this new vehichle will now enable a small but noticeable improvement in reaction time and thus ability to react to any and all obstalces that present themselves to you, operator."

Leah blinks.

"... This is some kind of twisted jojo reference isn't it."

"It is somewhat more accurate to say that Jojo's Bizarre Adventures has become so popular that it has imparted these concepts upon reality through sheer popularity, operator."

Leah sighs. "It'll work, right?"

"It will work."

"OK."

tl;dr: Leah has transformed the Red Wagon into the Red Road Roller! Rather than any obvious benefits to defense or a defense against a specific obstacle as a road roller might be inclined to grant, however, this beauty has developed time manipulation powers, enabling the slight slowing of all things; effectively creating a 'bullet time' field. This in turn gives more reaction time to basically everything, enabling a slight boost to all power meant to react to obstacles or attacks. It notably does not boost the Red Road Roller's own attack capabilities.

The Red Tank is now the Armored Red Road Roller! Combined with Piono's parts, you make the BULLET TIME FIELD! While this will not offer protection against the obstacles on your track, attacks from other teams and boarding attempts will be delayed by one turn, giving you time to react! Up to three attacks/boarders at a time can be delayed!

----------

IT IS NOW... TIME... TO... BEGIN!

EVERYONE BOARD YOUR VEHICLES! TAKEOFF STARTS IN 10... 9...

The Players quickly clamber aboard their shiny new Armored Red Road Roller. Considering the (lack of) time you were given, you think you've done decently for yourself! There's enough space inside for everyone. Somebody also installed readouts giving you all kinds of information about your vehicle, as well as cameras giving you a 360-degree view of the outside of the tank.

4... 3... 2... 1... AND...

GO!!!

Immediately, your vehicle blasts off! +10 Units of distance!

IT SEEMS LOSER TEAM IS COMPLETELY BEHIND! THEIR VEHICLE IS FAIRLY WEAK AND SLOW COMPARED TO THE OTHER, MUCH STRONGER VEHICLES! IS THERE ANY CHANCE THEY'LL TURN IT AROUND?!

It's true! The other vehicles seem much better adorned!

AND NOW, OUR OBSTACLES FOR THIS TURN!

RED TEAM FACES... A SHIELD POWERUP! WHEN THEY HIT THIS OBSTACLE, THEIR VEHICLE WILL GAIN A SHIELD PROTECTING THEM FROM DAMAGE FOR ONE TURN!

BLUE TEAM FACES... A SPEED POWERUP! WHEN THEY HIT THIS OBSTACLE, THEY'LL GAIN A PERMANENT +5 UNITS/TURN SPEED BOOST!

GREEN TEAM FACES... A RAVINE! IF THEY DON'T FIND A WAY TO GET ACROSS THE RAVINE, THEY'LL SURELY FIND THEIR ALREADY LIMITED CHANCES OF WINNING PLUMMETING DOWNWARDS!

Up ahead, a short ways on the track, you see a break in the road! There's a giant, jutting hole, about as wide across as the grand canyon! You can't afford to slow down, and its too wide to go around! You'll need to find some way to boost yourself over the ravine, or otherwise get across!

You see the other Players on their Replica vehicles... Each looks like a flatbed truck, allowing the teams easy access to the outside of the vehicles. This turn, the Dark Players will surely try something...

Perhaps a preemptive attack could help! Using 2 actions, you can board another Team's vehicle! Then, you can attack their stuff directly! Attacks launched at long range will only deal half damage - so to deal as much damage as possible, you're best served by getting in close!

Action 1-3: I open the white box.

Opening the white box, you find a note inside.

The Red Door is rated Flurple.

Remembering the color of the Legendary Weapons, of Player Power, of the Architects themselves... I open the Box whose color matches that, or is closest.

You open the vaguely pink box.

The rating Nurple is less dangerous than Flurple, but more dangerous than Durple.

The quiet watcher opens the yellow box carefully as he listens for any sign of a threat nearby.

Going silent for a moment... nothing.

There is absolutely no sound at all. Its eerie.

There are less than 7 levels on the urple scale.

I select the eighth box from the top, or to be clearer, the 99ffff box, and open it.

ADDITIONALLY I vote, and initiate a vote, for the usage of Celestial Guidance. what else can we use it on, if anything?

The Blue Door is not rated Durple.

Vote started for usage of Celestial Guidance! Note that it would only guide you through one room.

I open the gray box.

The danger level of the green box is Burple.

I open the cyan-green Box at the end of the list.

The green door is not rated Smurple.

Looking over the boxes, I simply pick out the second to last box and open it.

Opening the green box, you find an empty note!

Defense - II
Action 1:
I tighten a few nuts and bolts on the force field generator, hopefully activating it.

Actions 2 and 3:
"I'm gonna need you to go commit stop living now."

I shove flashlights into the dark general's eyes, turning them up to maximum brightness. Then, I shove some slightly smaller flashlights up his nose, and shine a sunlamp into his mouth. Finally, I shrink down some floodlights and stick them in his ears. Now that every orifice on his face has light pouring into it, I shoot him in the chest a few times with the Lumina.

The force field generator comes online!

Once in the fight, you can activate the force field generator to completely protect the Godmodder Statue from damage for a single turn! It's a great card to have in your back pocket in an emergency.

2,500 damage to the Dark General! He yanks all the various lighting appliances out of him, and throws them on the ground in disgust!

3x: Blasts of blue lightning leap from Dark Infantryman to Dark Infantryman, with blasts of molecular-level disintegration occurring wherever they strike.

The man bearing the Omega-12 emblem looks at the Dark Infantrymen. "...nope, I think there's still some alive. Go get them!"

1,250 damage to all three Dark Infantrymen! They're sent reeling by the shock! Their line is in disarray!

(x1)I prepare a shovel and go to DIG DIGGITY DUG the Ancient Trench some more...
(x2)I Invoke the Solar Flare, and blast some Infantrymen with the Blazing Winds of a star.

DIG DIG +11% DIG DIG

Two Dark Infantrymen slain! The last one barely recovers...

3x I infect one of the DarkInfantrymen with a dark zombie virus via a syringe gun.

The dark zombies are capable of infecting any entities but they excel at infecting dark creatures.

The zombefied infantrymen will try to infect has many entities has possible to create more zombies.

You attempt to infect a Dark Infantryman, but he's already so weak, the virus instantly kills him! It seems you may need to find a stronger vessel...

I use one action to make my powers become part of my soul

Next i consider the enemies
And the ugly statue
Before i start i gotta ask
Do we really have to defend this damn godmodder statue?! Feels weird man

Whatever I'll do it
I focus and use my one action to engage the enemy in cqc
Dance of the camilia
I pretty much have thornes made of bones
And these bones disintegrate everything

I imbue my bones with the ability to absorb whatever makes it stronger(kind asimilar to the ability of goblin weapons in harry potter)
While being used as a cqc weapon

While doing all this am taunting the enemies so that they'll lose their temper and get into a close range combat with me

I take a deep breath and shout at them
You're momma so fat, she became a blackhole

You're mother was a hamster, and you're father smelled of elderberries

Yeh that should do it
Make them angry enough to wanna deck me in the face

Unfortunately, this Godmodder statue seems to be your only way forward.

The Dark General roars, taking 4,500 insult damage! He charges towards your front line, then remembers he's incapable of attacking, so he stops!

I suspect this would be a good time for extrasensory abilities to be utilized.

Weren't you supposed to help out the mysterious room people with mysterious room things?

Well, I'm an NPC, not a player. Someone would have to give me something to do using their actions before I could do anything. But I can still communicate with you, and tell you that you should probably use that thing that you invented that I made better.

I'm not sure I have the range for it. I know you do, though.

Is it even useful? The lighting in this area is sufficient.

If we can pull this off we can avoid having to defend the secondary area, as we would still be able to track the opponents without light.

I say don't waste actions on it.

Well, it's a shenanigan, so I only need one. Also, you're a dark elf, so you don't even need light anyways.

Actions 1&2: I age-regress a Dark Infantryman, turning him into a Dark Infant that is useless in combat. I then make the Dark General adopt the Dark Infant, distracting him.

Action 3: I attempt to scan the area with extrasensory abilities, analyzing the darkness. I've got the mental fortitude to handle whatever sanity-destroying secrets lie past the abyss, I've done it before.

The Dark Infantrymen are dead, but nonetheless, the Dark General fears being turned into an infant, and decides to flee the field! However, its so dark that he accidentally trips, twists his ankle, and dies.

You see... enemies.

LOTS of enemies. The situation will only get worse the longer it goes on, and there's no hope of just killing all of them. You'll have to hold out until you can figure out your next step!

'Egh, Great! More areas to defend, Well the Generator is almost up. I'll keep digging this trench until it's either finished or close to it and then I'll move over to the second area and start repairing the wall their.' I mentally plan out as I pick up the pace of my digging the trench with my tool. (3 CP used)

More! Faster, soldier! +33% digging!

What do the Dark Archer powers do?

I start the creation of a wall around the statue.

They, uh... they let you do things that Dark Archers do! Yes!

...Okay, they almost totally overlap with Player Powers, but maybe you can use them for an attack.

+30% construction to the nearby Ancient Wall! It is the best wall around.

x1 Action:
Eyowe tosses a paper plane to the Dark Archer which lands by their feet to make this not count as an attack attempt.

The Dark Archer gets a reeeeally assertive feeling telling them to unfurl the paper and read whatever's written inside it. And so they do. The paper reads, "Party rock is in the house tonight!" Of course, the Dark Archer is totally up for some party rock, so they set off to the supposed "house," which just so happens to be in attacking range for the Players.

x2 Action:
The Dark Archer arrives at the "house" stated in the paper, only to find that "party rock" is literally just a rock with a party hat. That's it. There isn't actually a party going on; it's just a building that's just empty except for the rock. The Dark Archer receives disappointment damage.

To make matters worse, thanks to a certain someone destroying a certain wifi router built in a certain golem, there's no wifi in the "house."

The Dark Archer is so disappointed. He came to this battlefield for fame, glory, fortune, friends, women... and what does he get? A rock with a gol-darned party hat! That's it! He's out!

The Dark Archer formally resigns and leaves the field!

Looking at the number of enemies, my eyes immediately track the movements of the infantrymen, though they got demolished by all of the rest of the players.

looking at the rest of the people that were turning their weaponry towards the void guys, i do what i can to increase the damage of the popcorn. This time, with 2 actions, they come out of the barrel TRIPLE GLAZED. The sheer amount of flavours seem to mix to become even more of a deadly mix than before. With some added effects of course (subject to GM's choice).

Edit: forgot about my third action, well, i just use it to conjure an icicle shovel, that melts forever. the water helps to soften the soil just so i can dig easier. Aiming in a straight line to some of the other player's digging projects to better connect us.

Your gun is now even more effective! When you next attack, you'll deal triple damage, and inflict horrific status effects on nearby enemies!

+11% trench digging!

1. I unleash a curse of rust to make the ennemies weapons and armors rust and fall apart
2. I turn the black wolfes into black chihuahua
3. I make the earth under the golem into mud so it gets stuck

The Seraph has their bow (or whatever it is they're using) rust, and it scrapes their hands! 1,500 damage!

1,000 damage to a Black Wolf!

The Adamantium Golem pulls themselves up, leaving behind some of its parts! 1,500 damage!

---------

AG:

A shadowy apparition appears, picking up an infantryman's corpse and hurling it at a Black Wolf, slaying it! The apparition looks familiar... Kyleruler...? As fast as it appeared, it went away.

The Deprecated Robot stabs a Black Wolf for 1,000 damage!

V:

The Black Wolves dash in and dash out again, dealing 4,000 damage to the statue! You need to get some proper defenses up...

The Seraph and Adamantium golem waltz past your (nonexistent) defense lines and deal 4,500 more damage to the statue! Its down in the mid-teens of HP!

This is a desperate move, but... if you can't get the Ancient Walls up in time, you could always throw your own bodies in between the enemies and the statue...

New enemies appear! Another Dark Infantryman shows up, expecting to reinforce his comrades - but he only finds that everyone is dead. Also, C'thun and C'thun's worshippers appear!

Meanwhile, in The Darkness II, an initial vanguard threatens your power generator... its only a single Dark Archer and a Dark General... at least for now...

----------

In the distance... something... or someone... is approaching...

You have a bad feeling. You should possible do something to keep this mysterious person far away, before it reaches your defense line to attack you directly.
