DEFEAT THE GODMODDER!

In this game, you and all the strangers with you have only one goal...
The Search for Cloak - I
I slowly step into the dormitories, see how creepy/inhabited they are.

It isn't so bad. Just a room with a lot of bunk beds lined up - at least 20 - and a side-room with a bathroom and shower. Many of the beds are in varying states of disrepair, most missing mattresses and pillows, at the very least. Cloak is sitting on one of the beds. When he notices you, he looks up.

Cloak: Oh. You came after me. I don't know how you found this place, but... somehow, I always seem to end up back here.
Cloak: Thanks for coming. Most Players are quite content with letting me leave...
Cloak: This is where I used to be, you know. My assigned spot, back when the godmodder thought labor was still the way to go. My earliest memories are here.
Cloak: ...I should hate this place. But I don't.
Cloak: ...

You have a few options at this point:

1: Ask Cloak to come back to the fight with you(COMPLETE SIDEQUEST)
2: Ask Cloak a question(Type Question)
3: Head over to the Mines

Very Winnable Sidequest - I
As I am now a loyal, zombified servant of the most wondrous, illustrious, and handsome godmodder, I give myself a gentle facepalm for believing that zombification would have meant nothing to me! If I was still allowed to be in control, then zombification would be meaningless! I still wish to serve the godmodder, of course, but we all know it's more fun if HE'S in control!

The godmodder politely opens a portal for me (a truly generous master), and I waltz through, ready to begin my new adventure!

NEW SIDEQUEST STARTED!

VERY WINNABLE SIDEQUEST

You emerge on a platform, suspended above a neverending void of pain and death. Almost immediately, enemies attack!

Angel of Light: Begone, servant of the godmodder! We won't let you reach Starcalibur!

What do you do?

[N]Eternalstruggle: 25000/25000 HP(100% zombified!)

[AG]Angels: 4000/4000 x 3 HP, 2000A
[AG]Angel Commander: 10000/10000 HP, 3500A

Very Winnable Sidequest - II
Noticing the angels fighting Eternalstruggle I make a wish 'I wish for the next 3 attacks on the angels and the angel commander to reflected back at the one who attacks them and for them to have anti godmodder weaponry!' The Angels weapons have now been enhanced, I reload the PTRS-41 shoot at Eternalstruggle again with the all five rounds. "Die you Whore-son!"

You can't mess with a sidequest by another player unless you go to where they are yourself! In other words, ES and the angels are out of range!

The man doubles over immediately, his own consciousness very briefly reaching the surface. Damn that man! He'd known that the zombification process would have caused him to be totally unable to attack PG Entities as well as the Godmodder himself, but he had also thought that the Serum would take care of this issue.

Amelia! A telepathic cry to the one person he could call out to, as a wave of genuine panic washed over him. Amelia, help! And if I don't make it back, make this guy regret it! I don't have time to say-

Sir?
A reply came, earnestly concerned. Sir, what's wrong? Sir, are you there? Sir!

Of course, by that point the zombified personality had been restored to full primacy.

"Fools. Do you really think that I am so weak as to be defeated by you? Even alone, my power is far beyond what any of you could hope to reach! Even all four of you combined are no match for such a glorious servant of the yet more glorious Godmodder! NOW TAKE THIS!"

Since it looks like I'm still trying to win, it looks like the godmodder is kindly letting me have some control right now! Why, he's even given me energy and buffed my attacks! Wonderful!

FOCUS - DARK LORD

It would seem as though his mental conversion had meant he was now taking things seriously. At least that was the assumption that could be made from the potency of his following attack. He really went all out.

He dashed towards the nearest regular Angel and cleaved it apart with a single stroke of his blade. Instead of lightning, it was fully covered with a foul and corrupt aura, increasing its potency tenfold against such creatures of light. The depths of hell were less evil, the cold of deep space warmer, the darkest depths brighter than this fearsome aura. Part of it lashed out, flickering like flames as it consumed the Angel in a roaring inferno, the screams of the damned clearly audible to those carefully listening. But even such a mighty strike was not the end of his attack. In fact, it was just the beginning.

Raising his left hand, creatures of shadow emerged from his own shadow, not just one but many. Walking with jerky, stiff and unnatural movements like puppets on half as many strings as should be there, they advanced. One, two, ten, a hundred. Each wielded a sword that looked just like the man's own, although considering the size of the dark aura it was in truth impossible to tell. Each one made a massive lunging cleave similar to the one the figure had made, and the still staggered Angel took every single one, acquiring wound upon wound from the shadow-beasts. With each one that struck, the creature that did so dispersed, returning in an unformed fog to the hand of the man, held high above his head.

When the last one had done its attack run and returned to the ball of energy, the man jabbed his hand forward, finger pointed accusingly at the dying Angel, or whatever burnt out husk was left of it. In response, the energy ball moved between them, undulating grotesquely with immense power, before convulsing into a much smaller shuddering point and firing out in an incredibly potent energy beam slightly larger than the Angel. He smirked. This would almost certainly purge the foe, and when it did the shot was lined up in such a way that the beam would hit straight into another Angel, the excess energy damaging the next in line. Even if it tried to dodge, the evil in it sought out the light, aiming to consume it utterly. Even though it would likely not succeed in that, yet at least, it did mean that the beam would seek out and smash itself into the target no matter what.

Glowing with the mystical energies of godmoddia, I finish with a flourish, bathing the field in death and blood, and bite the corpses of the fallen, resurrecting them as my own zombified friends!

You successfully kill all the Angels! 2 angels revived as zombies!

With the immediate area clear, a bridge made of bright light suddenly appears before you. You storm over it as fast as you can, zombie angels flying behind you. As you walk over it, the bridge of light loses its glow and crumbles into the darkness below. The second suspended platform is larger than the first, and your enemies are more numerous than before.

Angel Commander: A zombified player... looks like the day has finally come. Now is when everything we've worked for pays off!

Angel: I'll call in our healers, sir!

The angel flies off the field, and fades into nothingness upon leaving the battlefield!

Angel Commander: Prepare yourself! But try not to kill anyone! It's possible this soul can still be saved!

[N]Eternalstruggle: 25000/30000 HP(100% zombified!)
[AG]Angels: 4000/4000 x 2 HP, 2000x2A(100% zombified!)

[AG]Angels: 4000/4000 x 2 HP, 2000 x 2A
[AG]Angel Commanders: 10000/10000 x 2 HP, 3500 x 2A

The Search for Cloak - II
"Cloak, i couldnt leave you. You were a comerade jn arms.

"Please tell me. What is the Godmodder purpose for summoning all of us just to fight us? Why make us immortal? And why are you involved?"

Cloak: I wish I could answer all those questions. But being here a while, you do pick up a few things.
Cloak: The truth is, I don't know that much more than you. I woke up in the middle of nowhere, with no memories. But I was made to work in those mines over there. Gathering resources and earning "currency points" to no end.
Cloak: Eventually, me and several others decided to rebel against the automatons controlling us. Why not, right? Then, their leader, the godmodder, came down to stop us.
Cloak: Some fled. Some kept fighting. I was one of the ones who stayed to fight. And to our surprise, that's when we gained our powers.
Cloak: We were always immortal and mostly immune to pain, at least physically. But the power to create? Summon? And attack? We only got that when we fought the godmodder.
Cloak: But despite that, the fight went poorly. VERY poorly.
Cloak: I still try to keep an eye on the godmodder. I'm waiting until I see a group that can stop him. A group that won't lose.
Cloak: Like my friends did.
Cloak: ...I hope that's all you wanted to know. I don't know why the godmodder fights us. But even if I did, that wouldn't change my goal.
Cloak: I want to kill him.

What now?

Very Winnable Sidequest - III
OOC: What's the
Worst Mechanic

IC: I abandon my minions (and C'THUN) and attempt at summoning to teleport to the AG angel's side.
I yell " NO ONE EXPECTS A NINJA!" before crushing Eternalstruggle head.
I try to summon C'THUN for real this time.

You join the sidequest, and begin your fight by dealing 3000 damage to Eternalstruggle!

The angels aren't totally sure whether to trust you! In a divine place like this, you'd have to talk to them and convince them to let you before you could summon something as unholy as C'thun into the sidequest!

NOTE: Players joining combat-related sidequests will be made temporarily vulnerable. However, defeat means they simply leave the sidequest and can't return.

A voice appears from nowhere in the midst of the battle. Some kind of telepathic communication, perhaps? Just try to hold out! I think if the Unsealed Zombie dies on the main battlefield that all the zombified units will return to normal, but think that he's too tough to be easily defeated by you. So delaying tactics, focus on defense! You can't overpower him, so outlast him instead.

The two zomified Angels go for their fellows as a priority, although if they're both dead than they target the Commanders.

"Pah. Was that the best you could do? I thought you'd be tough enough to at least last a while, but the previous group fell immediately! Looks like you really are worms compared to my true power! Prepare to be obliterated."

The godmodder is so grateful to me, I'm sure! I'm writing up all his attacks for him! Mayhaps, the godmodder will reward me with some power when the sidequest is done?

FOCUS - ANGELBANE

The man had sheathed his previous blade, and instead summoned a new one. A blade that was the enemy of Angels everywhere, especially those of Light. The Noctis Oracle!

Except that secretly the Noctis Oracle was a black hole. It was a cunning ploy.

While a vague blade shaped shadow was formed before the man and the opposing angels were grouped up by tendrils of shadow lashing out at them just slowly enough that they could dodge into a tight circle, a devious plan was put into effect. The vast majority of his efforts went towards silently crafting an invisible Vacuum Bomb at the center of the noble formation.

In moments, before it became obvious anything was wrong, the device appeared and detonated simultaneously. An immense gravitational pull appeared between the Angels, pulling them all in and crushing them to so mcuh material in an incredibly dense, white hot sphere. However, the force only lasted a moment, and when it dissipated the sphere exploded outwards, now no longer under intense pressure. This detonation propelled shards of white hot matter and a huge wave of energy outwards at any Angels or parts of angels that had somehow evaded the original strike, the blast wave pushing them outward in turn.

This stumbling was naturally pounced upon immediately, the tendrils of shadow summoned to corral the foe now moving in to strike, lashing and lacerating the enemy with rapid swipes from the surprisingly sharp limbs. The blade of shadow proved to be no joke either, as the man finished it, creating a sword of solid shadow. With no particularly special properties, it quickly dulled and then broke when it was used in a furious assault against any survivors, repeated sword strikes of all varieties applied to the foe in an unavoidable barrage. The broken shards and pieces were turned into floating orbs of darkness, which then flung themselves at the angels, greedily seeking to devour their essence to the point of gorging, where they would then immediately detonate to cause further carnage. And then also, I danced on the ashes. And bit their corpses.

You kill all the angels, and zombify a commander!

With all the divine presences dead once again, another bridge appears! This upcoming platform is the one with the prize - of this, you are quite certain! An angel healer swoops down, and pulls Eevee Shadow Bacon back to the next island - they can't beat the small group on their own!

On the final platform, much larger than the others, there are more enemies than before - but still only a few.

Angel elite: I will protect Starcalibur.
Angel commander: I will protect the healers.
Angel healers: We will cure the zombification. Begone, beast of the godmodder! Begone, so we can save our allies!

[N]Eternalstruggle: 22000/30000 HP(100% zombified!)
[AG]Angels: 4000/4000 x 2 HP, 2000x2A(100% zombified!)
[AG]Angel Commander: 10000/10000 HP, 3500A(100% zombified!)

[AG]Angel Commanders: 10000/10000 x 2 HP, 3500 x 2A
[AG]Angel healers: 3000/3000 x 2 HP (healing abilities!)

Very Winnable Sidequest - IV
The fallen Angels and Commander target the Healers.

"Really? I expected a pair of Commanders to put up more of a fight than that! At least an Elite might allow you to provide a challenge. Actually, I doubt it. You are all simply far too weak to send a chance in hell against me. Now, TO CLAIM MY PRIZE! FOR THE GODMODDER!"

FOCUS - STROKE WORTH A THOUSAND

The figure walked up to one of the Commanders, his electrically charged blade in hand, and slashed once. Is that supposed to be some kind of ultimate technique? It wasn't super powerful, so if so that was pretty lame.

Wait, he slashed again? But his sword was sheathed after his first strike. And again? But he didn't move, it wasn't super quick he just stood still. And again and again?

Temporal analysis reveals the complete picture. The man is rewinding time again and again, making his original strike hit in slightly different areas over and over again while only having to hit once. This time manipulation seems highly potent, as the hundreds of deep, lightning-infused gashes on the first Commander attests. Each stroke of the blade, even if it is but a mere copy, is just as strong as the original strike, which was a highly potent heavy slash, cutting straight through the armor and flesh of the Commander and causing major damage. The local rewinding keeps happening, carving the Commander apart as the figure turns his attention to the next target.

A vast array of runes, sigils and halos comes into place behind him, a shifting array of incredibly complex ancient script. He jabbed a finger at his second foe, and from the centers of these various circles of mystical power emerge a blinding barrage of energy beams, each with the firepower to casually level city blocks. Although they are very bright, they are undeniably effective on the Angel of Light, as it vanishes beneath the constant stream of blasts and explosions that is the Scouring Sunlight Array, a high level technique that has surprisingly little to do with light. When the attack dies down and everyone can see again, there remains nothing of the commander as the various runic circles vanish from behind the man.

With his remaining energy for the round, the man slows down the flow of time from the perspective of him and his zombified allies. For them, the surrounding world slows almost to a crawl, giving them plenty of time to appreciate the shocked looks on the Healers' faces as the undead Angels close in for the kill. This means that they will attack before the non-fallen Angels and eliminate the Healers, and he can also use it to identify and dodge incoming attacks, allowing him to avoid the next attack thrown at him.

Loaned godmodding power crackling in my palms, I blast and blast and blast. All my sword strikes and everything else are buffed TO INFINITY! And what's more, I also open the treasure chest and do everything I need to do to get that pretty quest completion.

You successfully blast the angel commanders and the angel elite into oblivion! Congratulations!

I turn C'THUN! into a holy creature.

You summon your allies! They will appear on the hexagonafield! Why the hexagonafield? Well, with their last bit of power, one of the angel healers opened up a portal back home and shoved you into it. Trying to duel Eternalstruggle with his combined player powers, godmodding powers, and a small cohort of zombie angels won't result in good things for you.

-----

All the angels are dead! With everything taken care of, you stroll over to the treasure chest, almost TOO casually. Popping it open, the prize slowly hovers until it is level with your face: STARCALIBUR.

SIDEQUEST COMPLETE!

REWARDS:
Starcalibur

Leaving behind your zombie angel friends - they'll just get cured back into allies when the sealed zombie dies - a godmodder-owned portal is kindly opened for you back to the battlefield. You walk through, and emerge on the HEXAGONAFIELD, with the godmodder ready and waiting to greet you. Starcalibur drifts over from your hands into his. Why resist? You are nothing but a zombie and a thrall.

Slowly, slowly, Starcalibur drifts closer to the godmodder's hand...

SIDEQUEST STARTED: Cybercrime!

With the guards out of the way, your cyber-self strolls into the inner halls of the IT headquarters. The building looked massive from the outside, but the hallway ends in a dead end almost immediately, with no other branches. At the end is a simple chamber, not unlike the holodeck. Above it is a sign reading: "ACCESS PORTAL". Stepping inside, it looks completely empty... suddenly, mechanical arms extend from the walls, grabbing you around the waist and holding you in the center of the room! As a helmet is lowered down onto your head, you stop struggling and get ready to enter. You're supposed to be here, right? You have clearance, and you got this far! You'll be f-

You awaken in a digital representation of the godmodder's desktop! Before you can even react, you're blasted back by a laser! It's digitally painful! You quickly recover, and start dodging the lasers, but they're coming from every direction! While dodging the security system's attacks, you manage to pick out a few things on the godmodder's desktop that look important! But wait... some of them look TOO important... you should be careful about which files you open! Some of them could be a trap!

Alright, here's how this is going to work. You're trying to look at the godmodder's stuff, but you're also dodging the security system's attacks. Every move you make, every thing you click on, will result in a loss of 10% energy. Reach 0%, and the security system will blast you right out, and you won't be able to get in again. In that time, you'll want to look on as much stuff as possible! But choose carefully - you can only look at one thing each turn! And some things might be traps, which will only make your situation even worse!

Cybercrime II
Standing up confidently after recovering from the initial surprise attack, Deo smirks at the lazer system.

"I'm a Player huh?" A glowing device materialises on his left wrist. "Then I guess it's time,"

Deo snaps a deck into the disk, before drawing his opening hand.

"For my first move, I set one card face down!" Two large brown backed cards appear in front of him.

Will activate when the lazers attack me.

"Next I play my spell card," A large green card appears on the field. "Bait Doll!"

"And I target..." His hand lingers on the Legendaryweaponnotes.pad, before shifting to another file. "The nothing.zip! Reveal yourself! If there is a trap and the timing is incorrect, it's negated and destroyed!"

OOC: I don't have a third action, so is it alright if I sacrifice that action to make my other 2 choices more powerful? Or will that cost me the same amount of energy as using 3 actions? If it will cost me as much, I will only do my two actions this turn.

OOC: I know I just talked about turns and actions and things, but sidequests work a little differently - you get one action but you can do whatever with it. Like here. This is all fine.

You successfully use special cards to insulate yourself against one wrong move! It will only protect you once, though!

Dodging through the lasers, you dive into Nothing.zip! The lasers don't get any less intense inside the file, but you do see the contents!

Looks like you've entered into some kind of file-maze! You have no idea how to navigate this. With your limited time reserves, committing to finding something in this mess is risky. You might not get anything out of it! But if you could find something, it would probably be REALLY important!

What's your next move?

Cybercrime III
Inside the maze, Deo quickly whispers, "Adrienne'a Thread." summoning a ball of yarn in his hand, before tying the end to his entrance. He didn't want to get lost in this maze, and this should help him easily get back.

"Hmm, I'm not sure what I was expecting. Still, let's keep going." He heads to the Up.zip "I swear, if this is just that opening 10 minutes to that movie...damn it, I didn't make any tissues."

OOC: How? There's no right left or A B.

At any time, you can navigate to any file/path you've already seen once without having to use an action for every level you go up/down. For example, now that you've dodged and dashed into Up.zip, you could still open 000001 and only need to use one action. If anything, the lasers only get more intense now that you've gone deeper into things!

I preform a quick summon charge and teleport to the GM's computer

Welcome to the party! Of course, since you're both in the computer now, things should be easier, right? The lasers should split their power between the two of you, giving you both more time. WRONG. The godmodder's defense system freaks out even more! You thought the entire place had been bathed in red emergency light before, but now it's even redder! An increasingly ridiculous amount of lasers blast the both of you, forcing you each to be both everywhere and nowhere at once! It's really, really exhausting!

With the situation like this, you both have less energy! The good news is, you can do stuff twice as fast with two people, so you have more actions than you started with between the both of you! However, you both have smaller amounts of energy individually! If this is going to be a team sidequest, you'll need to coordinate!

You right-click Legendaryweaponnotes.pad... what! There isn't any copy button!? You are completely thwarted.

The Spanish Inquisition is immediately destroyed by lasers before they can do anything!

"Copy that." I read 00004.doc.

OOC: GM, is the up.zip another zipped file within this file, or just the exit out? I'm not computer savvy, which is why I visualized this adventure in terms of 80s movie internet-aka, when no one knew how the internet worked.

Upon opening 00004.doc, it unfolds into a MASSIVE file list! There's like, 15 of the things in here! At the top of the note, you find a small note which you read really fast:

"The secret is in here, definitely! Some of them are trapped! Better try ALL of them!"

Looks like you two have separated your file locations. Remember though, you can navigate to any file in any file/menu you've opened before, just so long as you've seen it, without burning turns. The lasers continue firing at you, and you're really starting to break a sweat now!
