ES manually retargets the Scorn Ray on the Slab for what very little it's worth, then attacks Power Crystal A once again with his sword for his man action. This time, he just hammers away at it with the flat of his indestructible blade, spreading the cracks further and further. Although this won't finish it off, the next attack against it should.
Action: I leap up, grab a Tranq drone, and fall down, slamming it into Power Crystal A.
(DAY)DREAM: As a former personification of those who enter and leave unnoticed, I've seen a great many things. That extends even to dreams and fantasias, where it's common for there to people who lack any further definition beyond their presence. (Pretty much any person in any given crowd laughing at someone because they're in their underwear. Also videogame NPCs)
Now? I dream of EPIC BATTLE FANTASY!!!
Three companions (and a cat) in a epic adventure to save the world! Foes! (Cats, jellyfish, golems, zombies, robots, zombie robots, and much, much more!) Battle! (Lightning called from the skies, jagged monoliths from the ground, Natz spends 5/6 of her time healing everyone else!) Erm . . . also Strategic Monster Catching? Nah, it's there and all but the monster catching is part of battle and the Strategy really ought to be attached to the Battle. Also videogame cameos! Whoever made this loved their videogames! Chibi Knight, Red/Green/Blue Shells, and so on. I think I can skip the treasure hunts (in case you haven't noticed this is mainly a remixed pile of videogame memories). Uhh, anime fanservice? That too. Here, have a picture!
THWACK THWACK THWACK
I attack the gun hinge at melee range, incidentally forcing at least one tranq shot to go into my shield. (I certainly don't leave Defense Position)
"Damn it! If more of those things are summoned, this fight will go nowhere fast!" I swear, looking around for some sort of means of keeping the enemy mook spawns from distracting our forces.
Then I notice the defunct robots and grin. I leap off the tank and run to the first defunct bot, working fast and furiously to co-opt the thing and fight off the Tranq Drones. (Edit)I do this by simply linking them up to the computer controlling our AG Suppressorbots and giving them the commands via the controller we had been using this entire time, for convenience's sake. (Action)
As I do so, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of FEAR now that our hope for getting out of here without resorting to a literal deal with the devil is gone. I channel that FEAR into the proper parts of the Dungeonscape.
However, it's not enough, and so I think of something to do while I work to further distract myself. That's when I remember what Cybil just mentioned. I sort my thoughts and feelings for a bit so I can say something truly effective, working all the while. Somehow, I feel the support and ideas of others flow into me, helping guide my words as I speak.
"So, you tried and failed, Cybil? That sounds rougher than I can imagine. Really rough stuff. Were you the only survivor and thus offered the deal? Or did you get through it by making the deal yourself?"
He pauses for a moment. Then, unable to stop himself, he continues, a bit more forlorn and disappointed than angry. "And... why did you take it? Don't you hate the Godmodder as much as we do? Or maybe even more so? Why wouldn't you do everything you can to work against them?"
EDIT: While I'm at it, I also toss my ScratchSpear +1 to Xerath, since I won't be using it for at least one turn. Four tops, if I have to do this for all the drones individually.
OOC: Thanks!
...Yawn. I could just close my eyes and take a brief n-
No! I slap myself repeatedly, sleep is potentially fatal for my MIND! Gah I need to jolt myself awake! I angrily yank the tranquilizer darts out of me and throw them to the ground. Let's not leave tgose in me.
Raising my Flaming Spearnir towards Power Crystal C I invert the inertia damper I added from bot wreckage, eliminating my protection against recoil in somewhat increased acceleration, and fire.
The spear flies into the targeted power crystal while I fly the other way, tumbling along the ground for several meters. My plastic protector easily protects me from harming myself from the impacts but those sudden jolts should wipe away the sleep from me. (x1)
Keep Smashing it Arsenical!
1). We continue to hammer into Crystal B, taking care to target the opening granted by the portion that shattered off. Assuming it doesn't break, we hide behind it.
Yo Spicy Serious, You might want to ditch protecting Valla. She isn't helping us, why help her?
Free Action:
Alright, Cybil. You're going to lose. Your gatekeeper does not have the durability to withstand our assault. I'm not even sure how you failed against it, given you claim to be a former player. Sure you might not have our firepower, but seriously it's a giant robot and you didn't even think about escaping it through the prison's ventilation system?
Well, it shows to your intelligence in general. For instance, you've failed to evacuate your chambers, even though we have a weapon capable of killing you through a wall, and the tracking equipment to spot your exact position. I highly suggest you shut down your bots and surrender.
Action:
The Gatekeeper supposedly has a weakness deep inside it. We don't know what it is, but I do know that the Shock Railgun with this much power will punch straight through the Gatekeeper and expose the weakness. I deactivate the Shock Railgun's safety limiters, line up a shot straight through the Gatekeeper's side (passing through a dual gun mount that seems to have a bit of pre-existing damage), and fire. The metal slug comes out the other end of the railgun at mach 10, fast enough to deafen everyone in the room from the sonic boom, possibly to the point of damaging electronics. On impact, the slug punches straight through the gun mount, through the Gatekeeper's arm, and into its core. It might even fly out the other side, depending on what the Gatekeeper's core actually is.
The entry holes aren't just neat holes, either. As if a hole straight through your weapon hinge didn't impact weapon accuracy enough, the impact also created a massive amount of heat that melts the pieces around the impact hole. With any luck, that will cause the Gatekeeper's weapon systems to be fused together, if it's guns don't just fall off. Inside the Gatekeeper's core, spalling from the pieces of metal being blown out of the exit wound through the armor shred its internals. If it didn't have a touch of Godmodding energy powering it, it would probably be totally incapacitated, rather than being lucky to escape with moderate damage and a floppy gun arm.
Unfortunately, there's a downside to pushing a rush job of engineering past its safe limits, namely that the gun then proceeds to detonate in a dangerous burst of electricity. I manage to throw the gun away just before the detonation, causing much of the shock to go into the Gatekeeper (whatever that does), while I only face a moderate electric shock.
The energy of even the residual electric shock would normally cause a blackout, but I have insane mental resistance. So insane, in fact, that it's easy to convert what would normally be a brain overload from excess electric current coursing through it into a surge of psychic power. I then immediately discharge that power surge in an incredibly powerful telekinetic assault.
First, I send out a focused Starsight pulse, analyzing the Gatekeeper's internal systems to an incredibly accurate degree. I now know the exact physical composition of its internal systems, including the spatial location of each of its control circuits.
Then, I target its Factory Reset system, rending it with a telekinetic strike. The core circuits used to control that system are suddenly disconnected on a subatomic level, rendering the system inoperable. I then shred random other control circuits on the Gatekeeper's insides to disable as much functionality as possible, and to make absolutely sure that Factory Reset won't trigger and reset it to full health right as we're about to kill it.
Dream
Piono works furiously, bending and assembling metal and electronic parts to create a basic structure that grows and grows. It is rather... odd looking, almost like a stand or slotting point for something else...
I use one hand to rip part of the ceiling off and look around for an enemy to throw it at
I blast the Sniper Gun with the Ranch Dressing Eliminator, then quickly hide behind a Crystal.
Free Action: DREAM
Action: I day-dream of a sanctuary hidden in the mist. Lots of mist. A giant world of mist that disrupts Divination. This dream should be a good hiding spot for Morpheus... Because, guess what, it isn't over. This world is full of MIST, so therefore it must be MYST. Huh? Pun Power is still active? I guess the Godmodder failed to finish the Pun War when they left. Myst? What's special about Myst again? Oh right, it was something about writing books. Okay then. Now, this is different from my other action, that was making a dream into existence abusing AU logic and Consensual reality... I'm day-dreaming, making something temporarily exist in the dream world.
Than my mind gets distracted and begins dreaming many many other dreams. Now, I remember I used various afterlifees in my previous attack... Unfortunately their time probably expired, consensual reality was a power I had created with my power through Mage: The Ascension. Back to the heavens with you all, and thank you. Not like I could refresh it, with the Curse of Repetitiveness being in play, and Reality took hold again. I then realize that what I had created wasn't even a dream attack, and it was actually using AU logic and Consensual reality to hold itself together instead, that was based off of my Day-Dreaming because every possibility exists and that was just one possibility.
However, that doesn't mean that the world itself is gone, what's left of it, anyways. The monsters fell apart due to the Godmodder and Life magic expiring, after all, the life mages weren't the best of life mages still and were still inexperienced, however, since the Godmodder failed to destroy the universe like I had predicted and ran away instead to dodge the Geas, there is still a fortress there, and a few structures, nothing left of course, all the artifacts were exhausted in the battle, but the dream in itself seems like something I can work with. Now, however, I need to find a way to create a bunch of Decoy dream worlds, and here we are, an empty Dream World already existing, ripe for decoys, that the Godmodder already knows exists too.
Free Action: I use the communication psionic network to kindly request the rest of the players find some kind of solution to this problem. Giant Dreamy Distractions are now under the Curse of Repetiveness. We need some other way of delaying the Godmodder.
Then, I talk to Morpheus as I day-dream: "Hmm, What a predicament. On the other hand, we are actually breaking out quite effectively down here. We're at the final boss, The Gatekeeper, and we just started fighting the Elite Ten in the Dungeonscape mental defense we set up. We might be able to reach you in 6 turns, assuming we aren't forced to go with the alternative."
"You see, we do have an option to contact so far. The Devil. He has access to the weird portal network system that's set up there, but it leads straight to hell, and he claims that he will try to take our souls, now its likely that we will break out, but this will ultimately delay us much longer."
"Another suggestion by one of my fellow players named Pionoplayer is to try and contact the God of Magic. Assuming they aren't a minor god and dead, perhaps you might be able to contact them?"
"And finally, I think I might have an effective plan. This dreamscape might be the key. Its possible that you might be able to hide away inside the dream, taking your presence and essentially making a decoy, and having multiple players down here dream decoy dreams that seem like good hiding spots, to potentially delay. Unfortunately my day-dreams don't seem as effective or permanent as normal dreams, and going to sleep would spawn yet another Elite Ten."
"Finally, well, I doubt I could make another smash attack to delay like that again. It took a lot of personal determination and effort, but more importantly creativity and used a bunch of different things I won't be able to try again due to Curse of Repetiveness, not to mention quite a few would have been Successful Godmodder attacks if I actually had 9000 Player Power instead of 3 Player Power. Oh well. Its possible even with that level of attack I could of done a lot of Godmodder damage and successfully landed a Geas on the Godmodder, especially with a a bit more counters put in place to just running away... That would of solved the problem. Oh well."
"Other news? We managed to break out more player power in exchange for 2 Dungeonscape enemies every turn. Can't do that now considering the Elite Ten would overrun our forces, its at 3 now."
"And finally, how much DREAM power would you actually need to start considering if its possible to open the portal linked to the Shadow Realm. Perhaps... You have something akin to our Mortal Actions, where at the cost of your life whatever you just did is like extremely powerful...? Or is that just a player thing..."
"Also, don't worry too much about the whole trying to break into the Shadow Realm. The portal on this side requires a portal to be linked to it and a password we need to find entered."
"Morpheus! We figured out an idea over the communication links. Our entities were put in a DEATH Stasis Pod, which Stasis'd the Entities and sent them to the Afterlife, but they are still alive, and even the dead can dream if they aren't, and since they are Stasis'd, you can interact with them, since they are probably dreaming! They have all of our items to that we've collected, created, and made over time, and a bunch of CP too! Contact Fenix who is inside of it, tell him to listen to everything you are saying and to find a way to stop the craft and disable the stasis. Tell him that is you, Morpheus, and that the Players have gotten in touch with you. They all are stuck in the Shadow Realm. You need to prepare to use the Space Homestuck Aspect Vial and the Wind Vial. Its of the concept of space, which includes portals, and the concept of wind includes freedom of movement. Also inform Fenix about the current scenario we are in down here, and your location, and ask if there is anything in the craft that could help him get to us outside of the Space Vial and Wind Vial. We might be able to get out after all!"
Free Action 2: I hide behind a crystal. I keep day-dreaming and potentially enhancing Morpheus's power more.
Fear? Someone check the counter now.
Action -
I go ahead and discharge more electricity into Power Crystal A, frying it's internal magic and sending much of it haywire!
I use my ULTIMATE DIAMOND SWORD to hit the Gatekeeper on the back, where Alastair found the weak point, channeling the electricity that the bot parts added into the Gatekeeper, through my sword.
The quiet watcher runs directly behind the Gatekeeper, where it couldn't aim its guns at, and hooks his chains onto the mysterious panel, holding on with all his might and weight.
DREAM
I start chipping away at Power Crystal B with the many spears we have.
I hand Xerath the Electrosycthe +1, tell him to use it well and then run behind the Crystal that I'm draining in order to take that full cover.
Eyowe stays behind the walls to the side of the entrance, using those as cover.
Still utilizing the X-Ray Goggles to attack from behind cover, Eyowe lets fly of Butterfly once again, this time S T Y L I S H L Y attacking the weakest Power Crystal still standing.

[FREE???] MORE CHAT WITH CYBIL
[x1] Leah... Has no clue what that 'weakness' refers to, and for that matter is already running out of time.
"Ah, Cybil. You failed, then? A shame. I suspect you've grown disillusioned. Doubtful that we can succeed. Perhaps there may be a way out for you yet, but we shall see about that. Our estimated odds exceed 55% chance of victory, at least," Omniglot quips at Cybil, as Leah dives towards one of the Power Crystals-the most cracked one (or, well, the most cracked one that's not already destroyed), flamethrower in hand.
She doesn't waste time; she takes the bayonet of her Serious Sizzler and jams it right into the cracks, likely doing minimal damage because bayonetting a rock has traiditionally never gone well. However, this also jams the nozzle into the crystal, which enables Leah to pull the trigger and unleash a jolt of flames directly into the Powered Crystal. She cranks up whatever Player Powers are available to her and watches as the fire grows from reddish, to yellow, to white, to blue, and stopping at a nice, extremely hot, world-melting shade of violet.
She eventually stops pulling the trigger if only because, while crafting materials for hand sanitizer were infinite, the amount available to her all at once was not-but at this point, the crystal isn't just cracked, but slagged and molten, a far cry from its previous perfectly diamond-like shape. Leah, supported by what is essentially power armor, thrusts her leg forwards and simply kicks the offending crystal, cracking/destroying it as necessary.
Omniglot takes the time to assist at this point. "Initializing attack routines," Omniglot says as its weaponry whirrs to life-its proper weaponry, as a small hailfire of energy pellets assault the crystal, further dampening it. Leah's wings materialize, too, and spin up into two colorful lasers that add to the affair. This eventually results in an explosion, and this results in a pretty big crack in the crystal, if not an outright shattering thereof.
[x0?] Leah daydreams about doing that to the Godmodder, on-the-spot. No particular build-up; just an overly-vauge face abruptly taking an overly-large steel-toed boot direct to the face in a spectacular shower of blood. Gruesome, but for the person who put her here, very successful. Who knows? Maybe it gives her, or someone else, power?
"HAHAHAHAH!!! This will be too easy!"
Free action: I create a shield to block the gatekeeper's attack
Action 1: I create a Crystal Destroying Swords and I slash at Crystal A
"... ... I'm so sorry Bill... But HE told me to do it..."
The man pulls his Scratchspear from the Crystal, and then, he prepares to stab again. But this time, his hoodie turns red, and he manages to let off a flurry of blows, faster than anyone really thinks he should be able to. He then says, "I have an idea. It depends on if Morpheus can give me a single, very temporary, power boost. I am a god tier, so I have the same powers in both realms. If he can lend me enough power, I can build a portal in his dream world, and you can walk through. It might hurt severely, and I don't know what shape I will be in afterwords, but I should try anyways. Give me a bit to talk with him if we kill this thing before he dies is my point."

[1] Factory Reset, huh?
Factory Reset... what does that phrase mean again... ah, yes.
[A factory reset, also known as master reset, is a software restore of an electronic device to its original system state by erasing all of the information stored on the device in an attempt to restore the device to its original manufacturer settings.]
now, I don't know how Cybel made it immune to music... but given he was asleep until a round or two before we crashed into here, controlling the robots, and talking on the intercom, he can't really have done it himself, physically. And the boss was alone when we showed up. So... software patching! most probable method of music-proofing.
This means when the Boss uses Factory Reset, Disco-chan can kablewie it. And if this ability heals the Boss- which it very well may!- then that means it also reverts physical changes, leaving aside the remote possibility of the changes not reverting.
I have a plan.
Free Action 3: Communicating with the rest of the players (except Xerath unfortunately) and also Morpheus.
Operation: DREAM POD
Here is the plan:
Step 1: Players use Free Action: Dream, except their dreams actually are fluffed out and have things you would see in a dream in it. After I did my previous action, it worked and make Morpheus gain power, because it was a Smashpost Dream. Its very likely that DREAM relies on Actual Dreams being day-dreamed/said. This will empower Morpheus, which is required for this plan to succeed.
Step 1.5: Create Anti-Morpheus Dying Defenses So Morpheus still lives to coordinate the Portals when we get there.
Step 2: I am talking to Morpheus. Fenix is highly likely dreaming in the stasis pod. Morpheus reveals he can talk to anyone who is dreaming. Morpheus talks to Fenix, informing him about the rest of the plan and his involvement in it.
Step 3: Since Morpheus is empowered, have Morpheus's empowerment allow him to Force Fenix awake and out of stasis, alternatively, use a creative player action in tandem with Morpheus to force Fenix out of stasis.
Step 4: Assuming Fenix isn't already in the Shadow Realm, after Fenix has been forced awake, Fenix disables the Stasis mechanism, and gets up the rest of the entities.
List of stuff in the DEATH Stasis Pod
Step 5: Note the Homestuck Aspect Vials. 5 are used, while 7 are not. Space and Breath hasn't been used yet. The concept of Space allows for manipulation of matter, such as to create a Portal. Breath involves Freedom of Movement. Both combined would allow Fenix to create a Portal to us.
Step 6: Defeat the Boss, Defeat Cybil, Get the password, get the portal. Since Morpheus is still alive thanks to our defenses, Morpheus tells Fenix its time and Fenix uses both Vials, and opens a portal near him.
Step 7: Depending on the situation informed to us by Fenix on the other end, we either enter the portal or have the Death Stasis Pod enter the portal to our end.
Step 8: Rescue Morpheus from the Godmodder after we figure out how to get our powers back.
Step 9: Profit.
Also, I ask Xerath if Alice is still alive.
Dream:I daydream of the secret of the Magic Skeletons in the Emporium of Books, where i(also a skeleton) are picking out some books, most of their titles are obscured and ever-changing,as the Nature of Dreams but some have Titles like "The Pineapples and how to cook them" and "How To:find your Pencils",then I snap out of the daydream to do my Actions
I improve my Stealth Suit to be more protective with some enchantments and sub-layered nanometer Thin EM Fields to deflect Bullets and such
Free action:
Deciding that for now it will be best to go after the Power Crystals first so I move over the Power Crystal C.
Action:
I start slashing away at Power Crystal C with my Knuckleslashers!
Free Action Focus - FAITH, HOPE, AND dream? okay: I have faith, hope, and dream (I guess) that we will make it through! SO MUCH ENERGY IS COURSING THROUGH MY BOOOODY!
Action Focus - Buildin' an Armor!: "Building a- ARMOR!" I whack some metal together and creating an armor. It's an armor! It protects me.
I create the Dimensional Bracer out of some spare metal. As in something that braces dimentions, not an item of armor that has something to do with dimentions. It's a metallic ring a foot or so wide, about the same diameter as my orobros but somewhat thinner, inactive it simply distorts space within it, making it have a slightly higher voliume than it would normaly. Actively however it can enforce significant and complex distortions within the same area against significant force.
DREAM
(Action!)
I twitch a bit before coming into consciousness as I look blearly around of the severely blurred area as my head spins due not having my glasses for a while. Trying to adjust, my head is then equipped with the knowledge of how to properly apply contact lens. With this new information, I feel around my robes for a specific pocket and pull out some contact lens. I carefully wear them and sigh as I can view the world in defined lines and color and adjust to the sudden change in sight.
Eventually, I get used to it and peer the surrounding area... until I notice lights that looks... Disco-y...
My eyes go wide, nearly causing my contacts to fall off before I dash towards Disco-Chan and proceed to glomp her from behind. This promptly stops the Guardbots and Disco-Chan as they look at who decided to interrupt their standoff.
Paying no mind to their bewildered gazes, I take in the fact that Disco-Chan is HERE in my arms again. Words fail to come out to convey my relief and happiness, I feel my BOND shine like a beacon as she realizes who I am. In response to my tightening hug, she shines as brightly as a beacon as her Disco lights flares and shines like the sun. Settling myself on the floor and grinning like a loon, I call out. "HIT IT BABY!" and the disco music intensifies. And so I hustle and let the groovyness overtake me as I laugh along with Disco-chan who floats and sway to my side.
Happiness takes the physical form of a shock wave as I begin to leak tears of joy as we spun one another in the disco light the threatens to engulf the hallway. The Bond ever shining from this teary and happy reunion as we finally meet again after 80+ turns.
Meanwhile, the guardbots are pushed further and further back into the hall they came from as the Happy/Disco-Shockwave proceeds to seep and crash into their metal bodies.
Spicy, taking the clue from his fellows, begins to DREAM, DREAM of endless halls of books tended to by long-dead keepers, of a Beach that begins to mingle with the endless sheves...oh Dark Masters, books are in the water! What in the world is that swimmer using that Filing Cabinet for!? Why in the fifty and one Hells is that lifeguard using the dewy system!? *It's been phased out for decades you inefficient swine!*
Spicy eyes jolt open at that, a shiver running down his spine...hopefully a DREAM shifting towards a Nightmare counts, as terrible as it was. Spicy turns his attention back to not-dying...how to do that....Spicy glances about the room, eyes landing on the Supermassive Sniper Gun, that could use some killing.
[x1] "Be right back you two, no dying allowed." Sprinting forward, Spicy jumps onto the barrel of the blasted thing a scritching noise fills the air as he scrambles to cling onto the smooth metal. Eventually managing to cling to it by wrapping an arm around the Gun barrel. He then begins to scooch forward, slowly half-jumping his way to the area where the Barrel meets the main body of the Gatekeeper. A small flair Power burns a quarter-sized hole in the plating connecting the two, quickly shoving a finger in before it closes. A dim burst of orange lightning travels up from his core, moving up his body and through his arm, ushering his Mana through his body before releasing in a flash inside of the machine, a series of Mechanical Runes appearing in random spots in the Supermassive Sniper's systems, Flash-Burned on by Power and fueled through Power-Guided Mana.
Spicy then let himself fall with a hollow 'thunk' against the metal floor, scrambling back over to his place defending Valla and Xerath, before...nothing. There's a small 'ping' when the hole on the barrel closes back up, but apart from that the air, and more importantly the Supermassive Sniper remains still and untouched.
Yet still, FAITH courses through Spicy's body, Interception Runes at the ready as he preps himself for action. A small smile on his face and satisfaction coursing through his bones.
(Setup for the future!)
a power crystal suddenly explodes, why? Because I have blocked the power transfer causing it to overload itselfe
1 action: I replace the Railgunner's scope and barrel with better ones, increasing the amount of defense the Railgunner bypasses due to the increased analytical power allowing weak points to be exploited more, and the increased accuracy allowing the weak points to be hit more often.
How exactly are they better? Well, do you remember the universe I mentioned? Programmer was not simply a better programmer. His true specialty lay in Artificial Intelligence. His greatest creation is a story for another time, but let us talk about one of his lesser ones. He created a lesser AI as a tool to assist his greatest creation. Its power lay in extrapolating data to predict the future. But it was inevitable that his greatest creation would find enemies, and when it did, it was uninterested in knowing how it could lose. It wanted to know how to win. And so the function of the predictive AI was reversed, in a way. Instead of inputting a group of actions and outputting a group of futures that could arise from the actions, the input was a group of futures and the output was a group of actions that could be taken to arrive at one of those futures. The strategic AI performed well, and that was good. Soon, technology advanced to the point where a copy of the strategic AI could be mounted on a man-portable weapon. The scope would act as a camera for the AI to gather data, and the barrel was modified to be able to slightly move around in order to remove the inaccuracy incurred by the shaky hands of humans. Both sides of the war tactically destabilized the spacetime continuum to remove enemies from the battlefield. And an AI-railgun ended up in the prison similarly to the original railgun. It started out in the sewers and floated up to near the staircase, and when the Shadows rampaged up the stairs, the force the rampage exerted on it propelled it all the way up to the second floor and past the suppression bots, where I could safely retrieve it. Fortunately, the war required the AI-railgun to be durable, and so the damage it took in battle and from the Shadows did not affect the parts necessary to install the AI. And, well, I added those parts to the Railgunner's railgun. See above.
