Defeat The Godmodder

Politeness is next to godliness.
Godliness is for megalomaniacs and reactionaries.

Oh yeah!
Morpheus leaves, and, as per the decision made in the sidequest, hands off to the godmodder the next two Legendary Weapons... the Infinileaf Clover and Mascythe!
OH NO!

I am very much in favor of killing Alice hear and now. She has exhibited a number of behaviors and personality traits that suggest her rule over the world will be far from benevolent. And honestly. How much chaos would she cause to turn the entire multiverse into her own personal utopia? Can't risk that. This war has been brutal enough, claimed enough lives already. I pull out a large shotgun, and stand next to Altair.

I'm with you. But however you kill her, make sure you don't break Yoreshield.

I point the Shotgun at Alice. Probably not much to a godmodder, but it sends a message.

I look over to EternalStruggle as he speaks. Being proud of not doing the right thing huh? Well screw you mr. Chaotic Neutral and/or Stupid!

BTW Moniker just so we're clear we're still technically on turn CVIII, and thus can't yet charge our actions and such, right?
Also, it BETTER be a coincidence that Altair shares a name with the main villain of Re:Creators!

EDIT: in case actions/charges are allowed, I order the Station and Machine to keep shooting Soul Razers. I myself pull out a shoulder-mounted SAM launcher and blast a few down myself.

"It's time like these I wonder what I am doing?" These choices are not easy... Managing an army is so much easier.
I decided that abstaining, and letting them do their action is so much easier than intervening...
Though I don't believe this action is the correct choice, I really don't.

SCVs:
200 continue Research Facility
79+1 build 8 Factories.

5 Starports start constructing Tech Labs...

Army orders:
All offensive units are seperated into 3 groups
Group A are simply composed of hellions, and the Battlecruisers, their objective is to burn the Soul Reapers out of the Sky (153,200TA)
Group B, are the rest of the terran army, Marines,Marauders,Siege Tanks, and Heavy AFVs crush the Units. (101,150TA)
Group C, the rest of my forces, Designator, the Vanguard, and the Linebreaker, will target the Demonics Assault Squadrons (30,000+1,000Horde TA)*1.4Bonus from Designator

The Heavy AFVs are the tip of the spear, with their unique armor they can shrug off attacks that the rest of the Terran army cannot.

Once the Research Facility finishes upgrading, it would like to dissemble a Heavy AFV, to learn the secrets of its armor, so that it may apply them to its units. (Mechanical Armor I)

Actions:
I simply charge up in preparation for the grand battle that is to come.

I agree to cult action....

Also don't kill the Farmers, they're being convinced to join our side.

"No. What the gorilla are you doing, Altair? Ash? If we do something, we do it together. You should have asked us before acting. I, personally, am not in favor of killing someone based on their actions when they were in fear of their life. We can't just kill her because she might have committed thoughtcrimes, that's insane. If she acts up when this is over, we deal with her then."

I step in front of Alice, ready to guard her from the assembling lynch mob.

If this is an actual turn, I charge up 3 CP and tell the Second Scarlet Prince to attack the Soul Reapers.

+3 CP if I can

Also I vote to let Alice live, but only if
1. the contract becomes actualized
AND
2. the contract carries with it the equivalent of an explosive collar around Alice's neck which will detonate if she violates its terms.

Otherwise, I will see Alice dead.

Good question. You can still act like normal right now, but the storypost will come and the voting will end when the next update would come out, then, one average update cycle after that, the actual next main update will happen.

So, essentially, you have one update's worth of time to vote on this, and two updates worth of time to do your normal three actions.

Bullshit! Moniker gave me no data to predict eventual homing. There never was a anti dodge chance enchantment on the Soulrazer. I had to assume that there was none. You can't just make this up. You...

whatever the thing is dead and now I have to do something else.

...as many actions as needed... pfeh! *spits*

1 action used to preserve spit to harvest monikers DNA. 1 action used to harvest monikers DNA. 1 action used to memorize monikers DNA for later use.

Project "Clone Moniker with his spit to gain unlimited disposable narrators to induce the illusion of control" has started.

It looks like Altair is going to attack no matter what you do. But he's one Player. He couldn't overcome all of you. You could probably still stop him, if everyone rushed him and Ash... but...

This feels like a choice. A real, major choice. A "different ending" level of choice you have to make here.

So...

What do you do?

Teenage Rebellion: Yes. This. Is. It. NO MORE

YOU. (he means the BAO that we are going to kill. We are already on our way.)

Hungry visitor: Isn't this someone older that tries to kill someone?

Teenage Rebellion: If we cared about human life, we would suicide out of grief. So many die and no one gives a shit.

Hungry visitor: (suddenly unnaturally angry) We can't let those that can't understand us win.

Teen R: (plays devils advocate) So we kill them all?

Hungry visitor: We kill them all.

Teen R: huh.

CP: 17 + 1

4 - 1 CP in 8 rounds Winkins

I agree to cult action

"We cannot afford a schism over this. If we devolve into infighting, the Godmodder wins. And if the Godmodder wins, we're stuck here, or worse.
"I say we solve this in a reasonable, civilized, scientific manner. The question we shall have a Debate over is thus: Is the sum of the amount of good Alice would do in all particular circumstances greater than the sum of the amount of bad she would do in all particular circumstances? Now let us take sides: I am neutral here. Evidence will be expected. There will be no memetics, except those used in the contract to force people to agree by the rules of the Debate. And certainly no mental manipulation. Anyone found fighting will be ostracized and ejected. Once the Debate is over, things may go back to normal."
I thus create the Debate contract, and pass it around for people to sign.

"No, I've made up my mind, and I'm sorry Alice that I didn't stand up for you sooner. I failed you." I give the prodigie a apologetic smile.

Taking a deep breath I turn to my fellow Players. "Yes, she has the potential to do great evil, but why the hell does that give us the right to murder her!?" I snarl.

I take a breath, stay calm, you only undermine your position if you get angry. "...She could turn tyrant, she could live out a peaceful existence. Who among us can see into the future and see the lives she may take? Can any of you say for certain that she'll do the things you're afraid of?"

"If there was a person, who could potentially cure cancer, could also create the worst biological weapon that humanity has ever seen would you sentence them to death before they could do anything? Would you be able to sleep at night knowing you took away someone's chance at great good becaus you were afraid that they might commit great evil?"

"The choice before us is simple, do we claim the route of safety? Condemning a women who's lost family and friends to the Godmodder, who was manipulating and lied to to become his apprentice? Or do we let her live? Forging a path through an uncertain future, which could be so much better, if we simply try."

"Are you willing to try? Or do you want to spend a young women's life for what she might do."

I move in front of Alice and Piono's defensive line. "I promised her I'd keep her safe, that she'll see justice for her father's death. I'm a man of my word."

With a flex of Player Power I break stones from the surounding ground, they range from golf ball sized to watermelon. With a snap the stones shift to molten Darkfire, a flame that burns through the very Soul of it's victims.

I glare at the surounding Players, ready to give someone a face full of Soul-burning lava if they make a wrong move.

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED SINCE SEMI-DOP. EDITED SECTIONS ARE BOLD.

I suggest we force alice into a binding agreement where, once the Godmodder is dead, she will listen to and consult with 5 or more players whenever doing anything she might possibly consider major outside and, if by vote of 80% of all known players at a given time, it is decided that she is evil or doing bad, then she must allow herself to die or, if a way is found, to remove her Godmodding powers . such a contract would also prevent her from killing any player that does not want to die, if at all avoidable, or trying to get her way around this contract.
This has the advantage of allowing us to keep the Godmodder yoreshielded, and keep doing things with her aid. it still lets us end the Godmodding cycle. the punishment for disobeying this contract, naturally, would be death. also, even if this option is rejected, I would still vote to let her act once more before death. allow her to repay her debt to me. she has the charge necessary, to create for me two things: an entity that doubles its health each round (starting at 1), and a powerful protection for said entity.
To the peacekeepers: I don't really want riflemen... if you can't apply the evolver's powers to anything, can I have some scientists or engineers maybe? I prefer the ability to build, since I'm not in combat much. I have a lovely idea. As you may know, I have an idea I'd call 'a real bank of actions'! that is, something that functions as a bank of actions, but without the stealing. and still makes a profit.
The thing is, it needs a really good shield to work- to keep the evolvers alive instead of them all dying and being worthless.
So, let my bank hide behind your two hundred some-odd attack shields for its first 10 rounds, and that will be enough for me, plus I'll give you a tip of somno's body (so you can copy his generic actions ability off it, like you wanted way back when). you probably won't even loose any of the shields- With a pile that is so great and so big and so tall, people won't try to pierce through it, for there is no way at all. any attack leveled at my thing while it's hidden would pierce the attack shields, and if it does then you haven't lost any of them.
so, what do you say?
If you don't want that either, then I have another idea! your attack entitys (riflemen etc) don't do much most of the time, right? how as payment, they all (or a large amount of them) attack a single target of my choice, as long as it's weaker then a 10-charge entity, once? or attack an entity of mine of my choice, or something. it costs you almost nothing and i'd like it if that also.

[2x] I summon The Blocks. most definitely not tended by the farmers, this entity will make a few stone blocks every turn. if it gets enough blocks, maybe it can become something more? you could probably make new stone blocks out of stones if you wanted to.
Cult action vote: Charmzard energy generator + 1 of the residual cult cube power. alchemicalize it

"I'm fine with the contract, it does feel a little wrong though. We're not giving her much choice. Some things can't be helped I suppose."

I smile somewhat sadly towards Spicy Serious. If "keep her permanently under armed guard in case she goes totalitarian" was truly a viable option, then I'd agree with you. But in the chaos of this battlefield, with the Godmodder on our necks, we can't exactly reliably keep her on a leash. And even once he's finally dead, how much manpower and vigilance must we commit to make sure Alice doesn't go the way of Hitler or Pol Pot? So I'm taking the Route of Safety as you call it.

I speak to the crowd more generally. You know, twice so far she has asked us to sacrifice precious entities for a short-term combat benefit (fortunately, the rest of us had the strategic sense to not do that). Either she has a shitty understanding of priories and/or planning, in which case she would very like fuck something up horribly as a ruler (see the stupid things authoritarian nations with command economies can do, now imagine that worsened by Godmodder power).... OR it was a conscientious scheme to weaken us for when she planned to take over. And really, who becomes a godmodder who doesn't already have worrying megalomaniac tendencies?

I turn more, and stare at Spicy Serious . To make sure an untrustworthy scientist makes a cancer cure instead of a bioweapon, you keep a close eye on them and have a bloke with a gun kill them if they make something too bioweapon-y. If you have a coherent plan that will allow Alice to do the beneficial things she can do while still giving up or any who many succeed us a way to reign her in if she goes full rogue or full retard, I'd like to hear it. Heck, if your answer is convincing enough I may actually switch to your side.

EDIT: I hear JOEbobobob speak. Ah right, you know all about binding agreements, don't you! Well, 'tell ya what: I really like your idea, I see it as the best option of all. But... I have to vote strategically. If it's only you and I who go with this idea, we might as well not bother. I step slightly back (though with the shotgun still pointed at Alice), and declare:

Comrade Joebobobob has proposed we force Alice into a contract by which we have the power to incapacitate her if a sufficiently large portion of us decide she is turning hostile to us or to civilization. I am willing to let Alice live on the condition that those of you who also desire her kept alive are willing to force her into the contract as a safety measure. BUT, if the majority of those of you opposed to killing her are unwilling to accept that contract or a similar check on her power, I will maintain my vote to kill her.

"I agree with the contract option if it'll keep Alice alive."

"And to answer your question General_Urist no, I don't have a solution like JOE's. But I do have faith in her, that she's not a bad person at heart, that with the right influence she can be a great leader. She toiled under the Godmodder for her father after all, just like he did for her."

I raise my voice to address the crowd, much like the General.
"We must remember that she didn't choose this path for power, so I doubt she was trying to manipulate us when she asked us to sacrifice Entities. At most she is young, and has not quite grasped a strategic mindset."

I allow a small smile onto my face. "But we can show her, show her by example how one should treat power, or strategize on a battlefield, or act around friends and foes. She is young, and we can teach her the right way."

I chuckle, my smile turning sad.
"Then again, I've always thought with my heart. So who's to say if such action would be for the best."

I grimace at how this is proceeding but I pick myself up to join Spicy's supports of Alice's survival.

(Action!)(3 Charges)
(1 Charge)
I send a charge to pay the Hungry Loan.

(2 Charges)
The Lightward mages and I soon begin a collaborated effort on constructing the formation of the LM Research branch to the Rice Monastery. The Lightward Mages goes back to the books to becoming LM Researchers. (1-2 turns)

(Orders!)
Sushi is soon affected by the monastery blessing, gaining the small boost in damage reduction and attack... and doing a happy wiggle dance in the process.

My entities turn their attention onto the DAS and pummel some to death thanks to the designator.

RICE POND ECOSYSTEM:
Current count: 140 Basic Fish Schools, 38 Piranha schools
Current Growth:
Basic Fish Schools: +35 Next turn
Piranha Schools: +9 Next turn

"Look, if you kill Alice, we lose reliable access to Yoreshield. All it takes is one screw-up by the players utilizing Yoreshield, and the Godmodder is free to dump enough charges to wipe the entire field.

I vote to stop Altair, but don't have enough motivation to actually help stop Altair, and just charge this turn.

Yeah. I mean, Altair's got some pretty decent common sense yaknow?
I walk forward to where Altair is holding Alice.
She might definitley become a threat, however;
Spending 5 CP in a FOCUSED action I fire a railgun into Altair.
She might not. There's also the fact that I owe her father at least this much.

"Altair, no. Bad Altair. The Godmodder has much more HP than she does left, pragmatically, we can let him kill her then kill him. No offense Alice, but... you're not winning this, or likely to live through it for that matter"

Action 1: I pass an electric field through the railgun, messing up its firing sequence, then launch Ranger_Strider_ out of a cannon, as specified above. "No violence during the Debate."

"So kill Alice on the hopes that it'll forever end the Godmodders or trust her that she'll be good and actually help the world. As if the Godmodder wasn't bad enough now us players are on the precipice, about to fight amongst ourselves." I state absentmindedly.

"Altair for such a motivated individual you have a terrible sense of timing. You set your 'kill Alice' plan into motion as the Godmodder gets two Legendary Weapons and still has a hefty amount of health left. Hardly the most convincing example of how well thought out this plan is."

Dragging my hand down my face I sigh as I listen to everyone's own opinions and thoughts on the matter. "How about," I propose, "we ask Alice what 'Making the world better' actually means. Prepare whatever tools are needed to get the truth out of her to learn how she would better the world rather than laying down our judgement like, well, a malevolent god would. Let's be intelligent about this rather than forming two separate mobs that'll fight each other over whether Alice lives or dies."

OOC: I vote for Stop Altair until we can at least hear Alice's side of things.

I sigh deeply. "Altair is right. But... I'm so sorry Alice." If the vote works. I help with the kill by stabbing a holy sword through her chest, releasing her soul into the afterlife as painlessly as possible...

With that being said though... BACK TO THE CAULDRON OF SOLS!

tCP: 0+3 actions

"Yes! This sounds fantastic!" I say, an edge of desperation to my voice as more and more Players turn against her.

"Think about this people, we haven't gotten her side of things. Altair can't speak for what she plans!"

"No. What the gorilla are you doing, Altair? Ash? If we do something, we do it together. You should have asked us before acting. I step in front of Alice, ready to guard her from the assembling lynch mob.

If this is an actual turn, I charge up 3 CP and tell the Second Scarlet Prince to attack the Soul Reapers.

"I agree with the The_Two_Eternities, we can't just kill Alice for something she has yet to do! We should make a pact or something that will bind Alice if that is necessary, and even if she does do something bad, we can take her out then! No need to fight our own allies, if we were fighting each other from the start then we never would have gotten this far! If we change that now, there is no going back!"

I order my espionage ghost to possess Altair Incase he decides to do something drastic, boosted using one action! I then order my worker festum to build a warrior festum generator with the help of two action!

By the time the Soulrazer crashed into the hexagonafield my hearing had returned so I was able to fully understand what was going on afterwards with Altair and Alice. Looking over the growing mob of players talking what to do with Alice I reflect back on Xerath's last words to us.

'Xerath: Listen... I don't know what awaits me. Is there another life, if the godmodder takes my own soul? But I have to warn you. Alice is coming. I've seen her. The godmodder's made her... another one... I'd say take good care of her... but... if you... Just... kill the godmodder... for me and... all the others!'

Letting out a sigh I grip my Lightening Spear. 'I can only hope that this will turn out for the best.' I think to myself before then stepping in-between Altair, Ash, the growing mob of players and Alice.

"Guys, Xerath sacrificed pretty much everything and only worked for the Godmodder to try and save Alice, While under the belief that the Godmodder was torturing her with cruelty that he could scarcely imagine. Likewise Alice only went on to become a Godmodder to try and save Xerath under similar beliefs. While I do not approve of some of their actions, I do have a feeling not many of us would have done much different if we had a love one's life on the line, Both Xerath and Alice are just as much victims of the Godmodder's sadism as the rest of us."

"I also don't believe it's right to betray someone who has worked with us in good faith just because we fear what they might become. Besides, While we may not be quite as powerful as the Godmodder we are fully capable of doing a lot of harm or a lot of good with our own powers. One's power or lack there of does not decide if they are evil or not, It's what they choose to do with that power that decides whether or not they are. I think at the very least we can hear her out like CaptainNZZZ suggested."

When I finish speaking I wait for the next response while remaining on guard to defend Alice and hope that Alice will get a chance to defend herself and that if Alice gets a chance to speak that she will vindicate the trust that I and some of the others are placing in her.

Humph. Fine. I agree with all the voices suggesting we give Alice an opportunity to speak, and also that it's probably best we keep her alive for now if only because the Godmodder has found himself a very favorable tactical situation. But I cannot guarantee that just because I decide we need Alice alive now that I won't raise more calls to kill her later. I suppose it can be considered an analogy to the western powers being forced to ally with the USSR against Hitler in WWII. Except unlike Russia, Alice probably won't be an unstoppable juggernaut by the end of this.

(semi-OOC: Again, my vote only switches to "let Alice live" on the condition that we get to talk to her about plans, motives, and potential restrictions. If "Let Alice live" means let her go with no strings attached whatsoever, not so much as a restraining order, my vote stays with "kill Alice".)

I'm not going to make any moves against anyone, at least this turn. But that's mainly because I'm throwing all the Player Power I can into shooting down those Soul Reapers.

OOC: Yea, thanks for the bonus on the charges. Gonna have to throw a bit more CP into HP... how much would that take? Also, found a new reliable way to post.

By the way, don't worry about stats and stuff under my entities, Moniker. I'll keep track of it here. Just worry about the HP - making you worry about it seems unfair.

Anyways...

"I vote we save Alice, personally. I know I'm taking a gamble here, since nobody here knows if she'll be good or evil. However, I don't think it's right to just... kill someone based on their heritage."
