Defeat The Godmodder

Suddenly in the dungeon scape a famous character Appears me operates entierly on Cartoon logic meaning as long as he is around the enemies will fail to acomplish anything at all

Since key's are fairly simple objects, I just create a skeleton key, which I use to unlock the other two catches. Simple.

Everyone seems to be doing pretty well for themselves. Nice.

HOPE ACTION: One of the greatest forms of hope is the hope of tomorrow being greater and lighter and most importantly better than today, a hope often made real through the advance of technology, and the ascent of magic. As such, the HOPE Ballistae acquires IMPROVED FIRE RATE, which improves rate of bolt fire (1 extra attack every 2-4 turns, starting with this one), and rate of fire fire, which means hit enemies sometimes, catch on fire.

I then of course set walking to the right side of the spell, using the space to get a decent run-up, then ramming the spike into the cracks at speed helped by the weight of the bench and my own momentum.

Hoping:
Eyowe takes notice of everyone..."hoping?" Thinking they're doing that for an actual reason, Eyowe also begins hoping for a generally better time.

Action:
Not really having much else to do, Eyowe begins tinkering with the Sonic Shooter, trying to find ways to improve it. Maybe its force could be amplified further to actually puncture through solid objects. Maybe it could be tinkered such that it can cause sound to occur at a directed location instantaneously, without revealing its source.

I nod approvingly at Other Guy's continued locksmithing work. The path will be open soon. Before we go off exploring that trap door, I'll prepare some equipment. Now let's see, how did the Mythbusters do this...

(1 action) I go into the bathroom and unroll massive upon massive lengths of scratchy toilet paper, which I separate into sheets perhaps five meters long. I set to work rolling the sheets into long thin strands, which I then twist together into thicker strands, and so on. I continue to work like this until I have made several reasonable long lengths of scratchy paper rope that could reliably hold up (or tie down) a large adult human.

(free action) twisting all that rope together is a monotonous job, so to pass the time I tell me cell mates a story. It is a story of a man named George Washington and his dream of overthrowing his kingly overlords and creating an independent american republic. I tell of how many times his army seemed on the verge of defeat, but they never once gave up HOPE and thus were able to persevere until their enemies were gloriously driven off!

It may not have been an entirely historically accurate tale, but it was certainly a HOPEful one.

Action 1: My SOUL personally takes cover on the wall as I proceed to cast healing magic using the power of HOPE and Darkness to heal our mental entities. Unfortunately, hope is a limited resource right now, so I begin a plan B.

Free action: I train in dodging.

Breaking Bad - II
Go left. Use player powers to summon a small light to see by.

HOPE!

OOC: Guys in B4 (Cephalos Jr. Eevee shadow bacon Ender_Smirk ) please help me explore the vents.

Thanks!

HOPE!

You light a little flame and keep going. The vents are dusty and grimy, but not unsafe. The path initially seems to be taking you towards the A-side cells, but then it turns, and you see the exit... it's a drop down into the central Holding Cell!

You peek out beneath you... and you see them. The Shadow Players. There have to be at least a few hundred of them jammed in there! They're packed REALLY tight... but they aren't doing anything. They aren't even moving. Staring blanky ahead. Their figures are all jet-black, and utterly uniform. No unique appearances or anything else to be seen. You know that Players are mostly human, but there should at least be a few non-humans in this bunch, right? But you only see dark human figures...

Wait... you also see something else. Far beneath you, you see... a treasure chest. Just... sitting there, right in the middle. It must have something in it. None of the shadow Players are going for it.

But the chest is FAR below you. If you can't find some way to lower yourself down, you'd have to drop all the way into the cell, and then you almost certainly wouldn't be able to get back up. Player powers could probably devise a way to get you back up eventually, but who knows how long it could take...

Going back and exploring the other pathways is an option, too.

I build a wall of bread between us and the bars. Stacking wet bread onto eachother, it should be enough to abosrb the acid going in our directions. I hide/crouch behind it.

Somebody used the grenade on the bars.

You build a wall out of pure bread! The bread is hard and crumbly, and probably fairly absorbent. Hopefully, it can protect you from the acid.

Oi! guys in A-1! hammer the wall towards my voice! there probably is a section without any bars where the wall is. We knock it down we can get out of dodge!
1) I summon a roman legionnaire in the Dreamscape.
I HOPE!

HOPE!

A new Roman Legionnaire ally appears within the Dreamscape! He prepares to fight off the invaders!

[x1] Create Sanitary Scorcher

Leah isn't in the mood to be creative. She creates a copy of the sanitary scorcher through roughly the same methods the other players did.

She then HOPES, because that's a thing now. She's typically not one for hope, though... She's less hopeful and more dead-certain that she would like to see this Godmodder fellow the door to his untimely demise.

You give yourself a Sanitary Sorcher!

HOPE!

(Action!)(Hope Action + 1 Action)
(Hope!)
I kneel on the ground, taking a posture to maximized the prayer. My head bowed and my hands open-palmed and stuck together, they point upwards as I began to channel belief-my HOPE- and ask that to whoever can hear this, to lend a hand so that HOPE can be realized.

(Action 1)
Getting up from my prayer, I look at the scratchy toilet paper and immediately start my plans on intensifying the scratchy-ness! I thank the fact that I have some heavy-duty concrete gloves in my work robes and after putting them on. I start procuring the scratchy toilet paper and with careful handwork, compress a LOT of the paper into solid serrated spearhead to maximize the scratchiness. I idly thank the fact that I'm wearing the gloves as I barely feel the scratchy-ness of the paper through the gloves as the concept of scratchy-mess solidify as I compact more of the scratchy paper into it's new form. In fact, by the time I made to finish the spearhead, my concrete gloves were in a state of disrepair and looks like it had been clawed and scratched in a pit of malicious cats...

Compressed Scratchy Paper Spearhead Get?

HOPE!

You get the Compressed Scratchy Paper Spearhead! You made this using your cell's materials, so other Players can also copy you and create one of these for one action!

This weapon differs from the Sanitary Scorcher in that its significantly more powerful, yet also, only one use. You can also throw it! You know, in an emergency.

Action: I continue sharing a story with Cybil.

"It was a trap. Somehow, even the Ethereal Legion psions were unable to stop the threat, and in fact they struggled to even identify the source of the threat. The attack didn't hit them directly, but rather moved through the telepathic communications link and up the chain of command, first. By the time that was discovered, the suborned commanders had already given them the order to split up to scout the area where the base was suspected to be located (instead of, for instance, having the psions scan the area), resulting in much of the team being split off and eliminated by firearm-equipped cultists."

"The remaining group was not attacked, and suspicions were raised when they walked into what appeared to be a cultist watchtower without being immediately fired upon. Then, the suborned officerscut the comms channel off from the generals, and started shouting a strange keyword,
Noctis 32:28. Everyone who heard this word began to act oddly, almost as if in a daze, before eventually becoming mind-controlled by the cult."

"At this point, the conventional military forces of the Terran Federation were not going to contain the threat. They were forced to call in the ACP (essentially the SCP Foundation with a large amount of additional tech), who immediately executed an information quarantine to counter the infohazard. The entire sector was essentially disconnected from the rest of the Federation, and the colony was presumed lost. The ACP was also forced to address the remaining suborned units that had escaped, and most of them were executed, with their souls held in storage until they could understand and counteract the threat. The Ethereal Legion dealt with the threat to their psionic network independantly, with an unknown level of success."

"It was at this point where I was made aware of this situation, and was brought in to destroy this cult, before its colony could potentially escape the information quarantine. I was helped by my associates, who you've probably already met."

"This entire incident was caused by a combination of a terrifying Anomaly and poor handling of said anomaly, and it would need to be cleared quickly. Even as my ship landed on the planet, there were already unconfirmed reports of the Anomaly activating on other colonies. They were beginning to slip the quarantine, and if their growth continued, they posed a sizeable chance of taking over the entire federation (or at least forcing the ACP to activate some of their doomsday protocols)."

"When we stepped into the colony, it was in the process of being overrun. We initiated contact with one of the militia groups, and helped them fend off the initial assault. The cultists themselves were equipped with standard light gauss weapons, and were mostly only wearing red robes, although some appeared to be wearing stolen military armor underneath."

"While the rest of my team used their unusual mix of abilities to destroy the attacking army, I attempted to mind-control one of them, but was met by an incredibly strong defense. I attempted to hit another one, and met the same defense. All of the cultists had a near-impenetrable mental defensive wall."

"Wait. All of the cultists might have been inaccurate. After probing enough of them, I came to the realization that they didn't have a strong individual defense. No, they had a singular intelligence."

Your continue to recite your story, and continue to receive no response! Still, you have a feeling... just because you don't get a response, doesn't mean Cybil isn't listening.

ES hears Ranger mentally, and trusts him. Not doing anything else anyway, he uses his restorted minor powers to summon a one-use portable assault ram, sets it up, and fires its shot straight into the wall, hopefully doing moderate damage since the wall is already majorly cracked.

WHAM!!!

The wall is almost down! One more good hit and it's sure to topple.

As many rebreathers as I want as a free action...I'll be polite and not try to exploit this. Instead I'll use my free action to create three new rebreathers. I give one to EternalStruggle, one to MooGoestheCow, and keep the last one as a spare. Rebreathers for everyone Cell A-1! (Free Action)

Now time to be serious. While I can fit down the toilet if I don't mind being cramped let's not dive headlong into the toilet just yet. Before I can do that I need something else (two things actually but one thing at a time) thanks to my weakened state, a wetsuit. Thankfully I have some Player powers, a wetsuit made entirely of bread, toilet paper, and thatch would be pretty shoddy.

Now I won't go into detail on the differences between diving suits as the only important things to know about a wetsuit is they work well in warm to moderately cold water, are resistant against abrasions, the sun, jellyfish, etc and, perhaps most importantly, are thin. They're typically only a few millimeters thick which makes them perfect for tight spaces. A nice simple thing to hopefully make up for my natural shortcomings. (x1)

You equip everyone in Cell A-1 with a Rebreather!

You also create a Wetsuit! The Wetsuit functions as fairly weak armor, and also makes you totally resistant to all water damage! That said, it isn't absolutely necessary gear and might be a little overkill for a toilet-diving mission. Other Players can copy your methods and make their own wetsuits at the cost of 1 action!

The man says, "HMM, it half worked. Want to tip the other half of our hand? It should work."
He then, with his voices oddly in sync for once, proceeds to open up his captchalogue deck, pulling out an empty captcha card. He proceeds to attempt to place the bench in the card. He mostly does this to check if attempting to put the object into an inventory was why it worked, or if the Godmodder's chains just are awful at blocking minecraft related attempts.
The man, success or fail, looks on into the rest of the prison. He simply looks on, contemplative. The purple voice appears to be in control, based on subtle posture changes. He thinks back, far towards his past, his Homeworld, and how it was lost. He has a sad frown from all appearances. He then shifts, something those paying attention to him notice, to the Green voice. He, at the same time has the same side of his hoodie that had flashed purple while he built up rage energy a few seconds ago, instead flash a yellow, as he says, "There is hope yet my friend. There always is, even when it seems all of reality says something cannot be rebuilt, it can be, if only by the will of those who try."
HOPE is stoked within him.
As that same teal coats the same side as last time of the Hoodie, Karpinsky hears "Working on getting the bench. I have benchkind as one of my specibi, so this will help. I can also use it to get the others up with it mobile. I just need to use it as a platform, and then lift myself up off the ground, preferably with a fulcrum, and I can get up myself without any power use. Conserving power which is already restricted isn't the worst idea. Basically, don't wait up for me."

You attempt to use a CAPTCHA card to yank the bench off the wall! Once again, it uses not enough force to get the bench off all on its own - but since you already weakened the bench, its enough to break the remaining chain! You get a BENCH! Very nice! You may use it as you please.

HOPE!

Why did my bell ringing woman not get created?

I create a area of effect healer in the Dungeonscape.

Wait, did... ah, drat. Bell-ringing woman PROPERLY summoned, along with AoE healer!

I made a better map than that poor quality one! Hopefully this helps more.

Action -
Kyle uses the rest of the jam, along with some of the stale bread, a knife, and some player powered peanut butter, makes a few PB&Js for the breakout. Using RPG logic, this should heal people!

Free Action -
With player powers back, Kyle begins to realize that this situation is winnable!
HOPE added!

Much appreciated! For now, I'll stick with the hand-drawn one since it's easiest to edit and upload. I'll try to make sure its at least readable.

(...P-poor quality...)

You create PB&Js! You can use them as medical supplies somehow?? All the jam is definitely gone, but you still have an indeterminately large amount of cutlery to utilize!

HOPE!

Free action: I show people reassuring predictions. The confidence in them isn't great, but it's decent.
Action 1: I get out a blank map, then limber up on into the ventilation system.
Free action: I draw on the map as we go. (The rate of my travel is reduced, but I get a map.)

HOPE!

Not to worry! The map gets updated automatically, and you traveling to places people have already been is a free action - just so long as you have a logical way to get there! For example, even though Karpinsky sort of had to use an action his first time getting into the ventilation, since he already did it, everyone else can get into the ventilation for free. Exploring new routes is what costs an action.

You move into the ventilation, and end up at the three-way intersection! Which way do you go?

Free action: Hope starts to grow within me. I start to feel like not everything is worthless
Action 1: I tried so hard to imagine the bars as weak as jelly.

HOPE!

You can feel it... the bars are weakening! ...Just a little. Using this course of action to break the bars will take a while!

[1] so, we know 1 player power, with literally no flavour text, is enough to levitate a person a few feet. since they said float, it wasn't fast, and what we need is ~the cost to keep someone aloft- as a low bound for burst effectiveness, at least, total would be higher since it's over a period of time. average weight of a person: 137 pounds. newtons equivalent to that? 609 newtons. grenade? 180 grams, or less then 2 newtons. so, even with just player power and it being unreliable, I can catch all the acid which isn't aimed at our bars and use it to free those in B2 and B1, and then have some acid to spare. I first catch it by casting bugsby's cat-retrieving hand, which levitates in place and, being a force construct, doesn't get acid'd. its a very thin hand, so it catches everything. then, I create a small cyclone of cyan energy and swirl up a respectable portion... which i levitate to a stop with raw magic right in front of each door, and mold into a blade-shape, cutting the bars off with acid. or at least, cutting them lose. the rest is levitated in bugsby's interposed hand- at a smaller scale- to keep it for the next metal thing that needs a good melt'n.
[0] HOPE! or, more accurately, strong mental belief. it's not hope because this one's justified: I already went to sleep once and i'm fine! my main belief that i think of is that the Bloob-starved beast will survive this round even if it gets hit, because last round it said it was distracted and so took extra damage, but this time it's happened once and it won't be distracted any more.

You make a plan to attempt to use Bubsy's hand to catch some of the acid! Also, JOEbob, your post is very hard to comprehend. Since it was shorter than normal, I re-read it a few times. Here, let me point out some specific issues here.

s(Lack of capitalization throughout - that combined with a total absence of any spacing makes it hard to figure out where your sentences end and begin)o, we know 1 player power, with literally no flavour text, is enough to levitate a person a few feet. since they said float, it wasn't fast, and what we need is ~the cost to keep someone aloft- as a low bound for burst effectiveness, at least, total would be higher since it's over a period of time. average weight of a person: 137 pounds. newtons equivalent to that? 609 newtons. grenade? 180 grams, or less then 2 newtons(This is all incredible rapid-fire statistics. I can hardly read it. By listing it like this, I feel lime I'm being forced to blindly accept it whether its right or not, because there's no way I can fact-check all this. Also, you haven't actually weighed the grenade, so you can't know that.). so, even with just player power and it being unreliable, I can catch all the acid which isn't aimed at our bars and use it to free those in B2 and B1, and then have some acid to spare. I first catch it(last sentence, you said "can catch", but this turn you say, "I catch it". You can't just switch from future tense to present tense. You never even stated that you threw the grenade. Keeping track of your tenses would go a huge ways towards making these posts easier to read.) by casting bugsby's cat-retrieving hand, which levitates in place and, being a force construct, doesn't get acid'd. its a very thin hand, so it catches everything. then, I create a small cyclone of cyan energy and swirl up a respectable portion... which i levitate to a stop with raw magic right in front of each door, and mold into a blade-shape, cutting the bars off with acid. or at least, cutting them lose. the rest is levitated in bugsby's interposed hand- at a smaller scale- to keep it for the next metal thing that needs a good melt'n(Rereading this over and over, I still end up glossing over everything. It goes by so fast. Let me rewrite your entire post for you. This is a much easier-to-read version of the post you just made, that still does the exact same thing).

----CORRECTED POST:-----

1 player power without flavor text is enough to move a person upwards a few feet. The grenade is small and probably light, so I have enough Player Power to lift the stuff inside it!

I prepare to use Bubsy's hand to catch the acid the grenade spits out, whenever another Player throws it. Once I have the acid, I'll use just a portion of it on the bars, and save the rest for later.

That's it, JOEbob. That's ALL this post needed to be. Nothing else was needed.

HOPE!

x1 I focus deep inside and from the energies of my Mindscape's Earth,Sun and Moon,i create the Healix Angel who's purpose is to Heal our Mind's Defenses

x0 HOPE!! EVEN WHN THE SUN BURNS OUT!! EVEN IF EVERYTHING FALLS APART!! THERE WILL ALWAYS BE HOPE!! EVEN IF THERE IS FEAR,DESPAIR,HATRED OUR HOPE WILL NEVER GO OUT !!

The Healix Angel has appeared! It can heal singular allied defenses!

HOPE!

Free Action Focus - HOPE: I continue hoping with all my faith!

Action Focus - Pray: I continue to pray. Maybe I can see an upgrade menu now with my Player Powers returning?

HOPE!

An... upgrade menu!?

You focus and see... an upgrade menu that lets you unlock new skills! Looks like all that godmodder-fighting you did got you one single Skill Point! With this skill point, you can buy one of three skills to help you escape the prison: Going 2-dimensional! Lockpicking! Or incredible negotiation skills! Which do you choose?

Hearing Ranger_Strider's force from the other side surprises me momentarily but I quickly snap out of it and decide to follow up on their idea. 'Alright, Lets do this.' I roll up my sleeves and rub my hands together before closing my eyes to make a wish.

Action:
'I wish for a Sledgehammer to break this wall down with!' I wait for a few seconds before all of a sudden a flash of red light appears and in my hand is a red 16oz hammer. 'Not quite what I was wanting.' I think to myself a little dejectedly. "Well I guess you will have to do." I say to the red hammer as I grip it in my right hand. With my left hand I knock against the right side wall of my cell leading to Cell A-2. As I knock I carefully listen for a hollow sounding noise. After a couple of knocks I hear one. I knock it 2 more times to confirm and I hear the same hollow noise. "Lets get to work." With that I place the tip of my hammer against the hollow spot before then bringing my hammer back and then slamming the hammer into the spot with a lot of force. After the first strike I can see a small hole has already formed.

Nodding to myself I bring back my hammer again and strike the wall with it and again and then again.

Hope/Free action:
As I am hammering away at the wall leading to Cell A-2 my mind wanders a bit to our current situation. 'Things are going well, we have yet to encounter any resistance as of this time. Hopefully at this rate we will be out of our cells in a few more minutes and be beating the life out of Cybil before he realizes anything has gone wrong.' I smile to myself as I imagine the terrified look on Cybil's face as all the free players descend upon the man and beat him to death before then escaping this prison. I can be blood thirsty at times.

'Hmm, I wonder if we might find Xerath here. Maybe? We got killed by the real world Godmodder while he got killed by the hexagonafield godmodder so maybe it worked differently for him. Well I guess we should keep an eye out for him just in case.' I think to myself as I keep hammering away at the wall.

Whunk, whunk, whunk, and- CRASH!!

In a flurry of dust and whatever else (lightly muffled by Crusher's story), the wall comes tumbling down. It wasn't a load-bearing wall, thankfully, and the hole doesn't give you access to the area outside the bars - however, cells A1 and A2 are now connected!

Suddenly in the dungeon scape a famous character Appears me operates entierly on Cartoon logic meaning as long as he is around the enemies will fail to acomplish anything at all

The Road Runner appears! He'll instantly kill a random enemy in 2 turns, once he's got his cartoon-based prep done!

Since key's are fairly simple objects, I just create a skeleton key, which I use to unlock the other two catches. Simple.

Everyone seems to be doing pretty well for themselves. Nice.

Due to an error, there was only one catch left... but you manage to unlock it!

The trapdoor swings open, and you can smell the must from down below. You see an ancient wooden ladder stretching downwards...

You descend the ladder, and conjure up a new oil lantern to light the place up.

You're in a dirty hole. The walls are all dirt, somehow. The tunnel appears to stretch off info the distance, but its too dark to see where it ends... can you hear... breathing...?

You shiver and look around your immediate area. You notice a treasure chest near you! And also, a note hastily taped to the wall! The note's in some language you don't recognize. You'll need a bit of power to translate it.

Action: Due to um, mumble mumble mumble scavenge bits of chain, mumble mumble mumble powers of Forge as applied with a magic lamp mumble mumble mumble Macgyver would be impressed mumble mumble mumble THE BENCH NOW HAS A BIG SPIKE ON ONE END.

I then of course set walking to the right side of the spell, using the space to get a decent run-up, then ramming the spike into the cracks at speed helped by the weight of the bench and my own momentum.

You HOPE! However, your HOPE only increases the power of the barricade! Maybe the barricade could buff stuff on it at high levels?

You take the bench... and... and... AND... SLAM IT!!!

The wall comes TUMBLING down! In the process, however, the bench snaps in twain. It's merely a useless bunch of wood now. That said... the barrier between A-2 and A-3 is now gone! Cells A1, A2 and A3 are connected!

HOPE!

You amplify the Sonic Shooter to SUPERSONIC levels! Somehow, this ends up resulting in sound that can only be minimally muffled through walls. You now have the Supersonic shooter!

You make SCRATCH ROPE! Rope made of your infinite supply of scratchy toilet paper. It's not easy on the hands, but its useful for a large number of things!

HOPE!!!

1 action: I reinforce the skeleton of the Blood-Starved Beast, improving its defense.

Hope action: HOOOPEEE

The Blood-Starved Beast now has significantly improved defenses!

Action 1: My SOUL personally takes cover on the wall as I proceed to cast healing magic using the power of HOPE and Darkness to heal our mental entities. Unfortunately, hope is a limited resource right now, so I begin a plan B.

Free action: I train in dodging.

Your main action fails - despite your best efforts, you can't interfere directly with the battles in the dungeonscape. Merely make new mental defenses to help what's already there.

Your free action would fail, as it isn't a free action - but since your main action didn't work, it goes through! You now have boosted dodging skills, which you can use however you like!

-----------

Despite your work at escaping continuing to increase in its audacity, you still don't notice anything happening in the outside prison.

-----------

THE DUNGEONSCAPE:

The Blood-Starved Beast and Roman Legionnare attack the remaining Minor Gobblebeast, eliminating it! The Blood-Starved Beast gains 20% higher max health! The AoE healer and Healix angel patch it (and everyone else) up, allowing it to take advantage of the extra health! The Bell-Ringing woman and artillery strike the Dark Cleric, dealing 20% damage! The Dark Cleric then restores the annoying archer to full health, and it shoots the Burning Sun again for 50% more damage!

Action: I finish the story.

Anomaly Classification Program, object #3197: The Hive Cult

Object Classification: Contained

Containment Procedures: ACP-3197 is currently being contained inside Annabelle Lee's mind. She is not to utilize the cognitohazard under any circumstances. In the event that this cognitohazard is released, an information quarantine is to be established in any affected area, followed by federation-wide scans over a period of at least 1 month to ensure that the cognitohazard has not spread.

Description: ACP-3197-A is an anomalous and variable group of sentient creatures that share a singular mind. To be precise, their brains are physically merged into one, developing a substructure in the brain that is quantum-entangled with a similar substructure in all other affected individuals.

ACP-3197-B is a word, Noctis 32:28, when said by an entity affected by ACP-3197-A. ACP-3197-B can always be identified as having a text color of green, regardless of the context of how the word is transmitted (i.e. if the word is spoken aloud, the listener will somehow know that ACP-3197-B is green). A subject (ACP-3197-C) that hears this word will, after a short incubation period (note: the length of this period appears to be decided by ACP-3197-A, and the longest known incubation period is 1 hour), become added to ACP-3197-A.

Individuals not affected by ACP-3197-A that say Noctis 32:28 are not transmitting ACP-3197-B, and will not spread its effects.

When this occurs, ACP-3197-C's mind will become directly linked to ACP-3197-A. Any mind exposed to ACP-3197-A is overwhelmed by the other minds in the collective and assimilated. ACP-3197-A will thus, over time, assimilate all affected individuals into one singular hive-mind entity.

Incident Report 3197-1: ACP-3197-A was first discovered as a cult inhabiting the remote colony of {REDACTED}. They expanded by kidnapping individuals in the colony, then exposing them to ACP-3197-A until they were assimilated. After growing sufficiently large, they became able to convert larger groups, including several militia groups sent after them. Then, they were able to exploit telepathic command links on a larger invasion force to assimilate the force's commanding officers and begin expanding exponentially. They were only stopped when Annabelle, leader of Team Omega, was able to {REDACTED}, to shatter the hive-mind.

"Whatever this Anomaly was, it was turning individuals into single-minded drones. Now, it was possible for this to be the result of an incredibly powerful psion, if not for the fact that it had been transmitted not only through telepathic contact, but also through a written word."

"With a hive-mind of this scale, our only other hope would be to kill every individual in it, something that would be complicated by the fact that they were spreading on other worlds. I had to engage them directly if I wanted to stand a chance."

"I initiated a focused assault against one of them, pushing against their hive-mind with everything in my power. I did so much, in fact, that the particular individual I targeted had a mental overload, and their head exploded."

"It seemed that each individual in this hive-mind had a limited mental capacity, and was being bolstered by the rest of the collective intelligence. That wasn't very helpful, however, given that detonating someone's head from mental overload was actually really taxing on my energy. In fact, given how it prevented me from assaulting them, it was actually a bad thing."

"I attempted to blitz one of the individual's brains before the rest of the hivemind could support, but was unsuccesssful. It was almost like it was a single mind physically spread across multiple bodies.
The rest of my team managed to secure the area against attackers, and captured one of them for me to experiment on. At this point, out of desperation, I attempted one last move. I let them win."

"I cut contact with the rest of my team, then initiated an offensive telepathic contact on the captured drone, then switched defensively, The hive-mind, seeing their chance, used the telepathic link to deploy their cognitohazard, managing to transmit the message
Noctic 32:28 through the telepathic link. Oddly the message was somehow green, despite not taking place on a visual realm. I still can't figure out how that worked, other than the obvious factor that this was an Anomaly."

"To an outside observer, nothing unusual occured. But inside my brain, a connection began to open, linking my mind to the rest of the hive-cult, a development that would be nearly undetectable for someone without my level of mental fortitude. It took almost a minute for this connection to develop fully, before it was utilized."

"Almost instantly, a barrage of mental assault came in, from what appeared to be the entire hivemind. Much of it was the psychic equivalent of a brute-force attack, but with the hivemind having gained control of members of the Ethereal Legion, it was augmented by trained psychic attacks. Had the hivemind actually looked into the memories or knowledge of said Ethereal Legion members, it would've realized that it was making a fool's mistake."

"Well, they almost weren't making a mistake. With how this Anomaly operated, defending against it was less like blocking an intruder and more like trying to suppress thousands of unified alternate personalities, the situation that normally occurs after the enemy's breached your first mental barriers and actually gotten control of parts of your mind, a situation that I had almost never dealt with. Still, though my initial barriers couldn't hold, I was still able to stabilize here."

"Then, I initiated the counterattack. One of my greatest abilities the ability to not just block almost any mental attack, but reflect it, returning the attack to its source with some modification (at least, when I don't just absorb the spent energy for other purposes). I reflected the effort they had spent on their initial assault back into the rest of the hive, in what amounted to a denial of service attack.
I didn't fight the hivemind directly, instead I disrupted the links between each member of the hive, overwhelming them for an instant with a sudden surge of energy into the entire hivemind that almost caused my own head to explode from handling all of it. The individual drones of the hivemind began to shudder, before slowly recovering."

"So, the link between minds in this anomaly was the weak point. Maybe, if I could sever the links, I could free individuals from the hive, reducing the hive's power in the process. As the hive initiated a counterattack (which I easily blocked, again), I searched through the hive, picked out individuals, and sent a small, calculated burst of energy into them, just enough to fry the portion of their brain where the anomalous brain-link occured with only negligible damage to the rest of their brain. The targets of this were shocked out of the hive, their bodies falling into a coma due to having no will left (their individuality having already been eliminated by the hive cult)."

"I continued this for almost ten minutes, freeing a few hundred individuals from the hive. I attempted to focus on those individuals who were outside the colony and attempting to spread it further, but with mixed success. The hive continued to attach new membbers to it through the anomaly, and I was just barely keeping pace."

"Then, in their mad race to spread and assimilate, the hive connected a member of the Ethereal Legion, along with a separate telepathic network of at least a hundred psions. They thought they were making a last stand, but with my aid, they would be able to turn the tide of this assimilation battle. I disrupted the hive and forced most of their assimilation efforts back onto me, while also managing to send a message to the Ethereal Legion instructing them in how to cut out members of the hive cult. They responded with a more optimal method of this psychic attack, capable of cutting out sections of the brain in a far more calculated manner that used as little energy as possible. They also launched these assaults themselves, along with me, and the hive quickly began to lose members faster than it could expand. Over the next hour, the hive was all but obliterated."

"In the end, I became the last member of the hive-cult, but only in the technical sense (given how it was no longer a hive or a cult, but rather an anomaly limited to inside my head). The incident also sparked reforms in the ACP organization, to detect anomalies sprouting up before they could almost grow out of control and take humanity with them. This incident proved that even with a massive amount of technological advancement from the old days, the universe was never completely safe from anomalies."

Now, under normal circumstances I would not distribute this anomaly, even in combat. It's not the most efficient means of initiating psychic combat, and it's dangerous to spread. However, I have made two exceptions. The first was to distribute this effect to the rest of my team for the sole purpose of allowing them to be recognized as a single individual for the purpose of gaining Player powers (making an elaborate setup just to do so).

But my second use of this, Cybil, was to take you down. I know you've been listening (even if you hate the story, you're still responsible for watching all of us, you'd at least be overhearing it), and you've heard the keyword three times throughout my story. Now, the wait is over, and we're now one entity. Or, more precisely, we're now connecting by a pseudo-telepathic link, one that intends to merge both of us into one singular mind with two bodies. Now, in this battle of MINDs, let's see who breaks and is assimilated first. Odds are, it won't be me.

It may have also affected the other players, but that's less of an issue, given that we've already linked minds to form a singular mental defense. If anything, it would just force you to go up against all of us at once, instead of just me. (Don't worry guys, as soon as this is over I should be able to disentagle everyone)

(ACP-3197 cannot affect Game Masters such as Moniker, due to reasons).

ES mentally summons the Engage-class War Robot in the Dungeonscape. It only has moderate health and minor defences, but packs a very respectable offensive punch in return.

I translate the note using my universal translator which I definitely now have.
5 dollars says the chest is a mimic.

A truly inspiring story from Urist helps me keep high spirits in these dank depths.

Action:
Eyowe continues work on the Supersonic Shooter, settling for improving its offensive capabilities. He wants it to be able to punch through tough metal with no problem.

...at this point, it looks like Eyowe's just trying to turn this thing into a laser gun except the laser is actually concentrated and narrowed really loud sound.

Hope:
Eyowe hopes to turn the device into a laser gun except the laser is actually concentrated and narrowed really loud sound.

[1] I make a Compressed Scratchy Paper Spearhead. Since it's stronger then a flamethrower but one-shot only, and flamethrowers kill things, the spearhead must be like, really deadly... and maybe it goes boom.
then, I chuck the Compressed Scratchy Paper Spearhead at the wall between B3 and B4, and hopefully break a hole in it. Wham?

[0] Hey, I explicitly said it wasn't Hope! Just for that, instead of HOPE or RAGE, I spend this free action to AGE and HOP. Why? Why NOT?

The man crouches down, waiting around for the Eevee to climb onto the bench he put on his back. He then lifts it up, giving Eevee the boost he needs out. If Eevee doesn't get on, he instead picks up the player, putting him on the bench, before lifting it, followed by shoving it upwards to force Eevee to actually catch the vent and start climbing in. He appears fine with this. He then puts the water bucket on the bench then, offering it to Eevee. He finishes by picking up the bread and soap, and deciding to simplify things, puts it into his captchatory. All the extension of a captcha deck, none of the modus issues. He then places the Bench into his Benchkind Strife Specibar slot. Anyone confused suddenly comes to the realization he just combined his minecraft inventory system with the captcha system for ease of use. He then simply moves to the bars, before staring at the area he knows C1 and C2 should be, trying to see what is there.

"Oh, man going by the name Random-Guy, Could you pass the wood planks the bench shattered into to me. We could use crafting materials. Just set them in a stack, and get ready to get them to me once I think of a plan to translate it to me."
Suddenly the dungeonscape sees a new entity appears. It appears to be like an angel made out of ink, but upon looking at its face, they can see it is full of RAGE and yet, full of HOPE. The mans clothes had shown a quick flash of Purple, and Yellow as it appeared in the Dungeonscape.

Hello comrades! It is good to see you! I'll work on opening up A4, the bars there are slightly weaker than here!
Free: HOPE!
1) I create a pickaxe, and start hammering away at the wall to A4
Oi Arsenical! Help me out over ere!

Clearly you haven't gone on any toilet diving adventures. Overkill is but a lie!

Fear not though glorious being that writes these high quality updates, I'll be diving into the toilet this turn. One last thing and then I'm off!

Grabbing a bunch of bread I craft myself a small propeller with a hand crank. Propeller, short bit of bread, and then the hand crank on the side. Sadly I had to use my power to get some wire, thatch won't let the crank move the propeller. (x1)

Then I dive headfirst into the toilet, my underwater mobility device (bread propeller) in front of me as I head into the watery depths of the toilet...OW! Gah I probably should have entered the toilet with less passion, I wouldn't have slammed my head. Oh well, forwards into the piping!

(Damn, wasted my action)
Action: break the bottom off of the hand sanitizer so the slime pours endlessly down across the floor, no better yet I use my weak player powers to augument the hand sanitiser pump with a small two stroke motor to pump the hand sanitiser out at huge speeds, it'll run on a bit of the hand sanitiser flow.

Hope action: it seems like there's little point to putting physical defences in a metaphysical realm aside from the attached emotional and mental value, which I suppose is fairly usefull, anyway I begin encrypting my own mind and soul to make it harder for others to understand, modify or take anything comprehensible from but still making sense from it's own perspective. Prolly take a few actings to complete.

Free action: I continue to hope ("I have a major hand in this by the way")
Action 1: I realize that my mind may not be enough, so I concentrate my power into my arms. I take hold of the bars and I try to pull it apart.

Free Action Focus - HOPE: I continue hoping with all my faith!

Action Focus - Pray: I continue to pray. I expend my point on 2 dimensional form! Now I can do Paper M*rio stuff! Coooool.

As the walls of nearby cells come tumbling down I look happily at all the players now teamed up. Though, it seems that we're about to split. One half fallowing CaptainNZZZ down the drain, and the other following Otherguy into the dirt passageway. Being that my equipment won't function well when wet, I'll be exploring the passage.

I tear cell A3's oil lamp down as an extra lightsource, before deciding to improve it a bit first. I grab a big chunk of stale bread and cut it open. I hollow it out with a cavity that's roughly shaped like a parabola, then use a combination of player powers and soaked wall rubble to solidify the cavity's walls and bring them to an almost mirror-like reflectivity. I place the oil lamp inside this parabolic reflector at its focus to create the Bright Beamlantern! It focuses all of the lantern's light in a beam more or less going in a single direction, allowing it to light up things (such as traps and intersections) from greater distance than a normal lantern. With this creation in hand and my scratch rope over my shoulder, I descend down into the dirty passage!

I stop to to think about our situation. We've just been here for a few hours and are already tearing this jailhouse apart. This rate of progress really fills you with HOPE and DETERMINATION.

(x1) I use the scorcher to heat up thee bars, making them more malleable, and then with Dragon Scales protecting me from the heat,i gingerly push them to form a hole
(x0) HOPE!! which i use to patch up the sun in the dreamscape
