Defeat The Godmodder

/RP
I open my eyes to find that i'm apparently tossed into the void.

"What... What just happened?... wait..."

Memories crashes into my head as I feel a small flash of pain that runs through my brain before it settles down.

I rub my temple a bit in annoyance but give a large grin right after as i receive the last memory seeing the Rollback message going through.

"We did! We bloody did it! Hahaha!"

I do a little gig but then notice my new surroundings along with my new clothes...

"So... where am I? and what happened to my robes? I can't even see my own clothes here... they feel pretty similar though... wait... let me..."

After a few tries, I finally was able to turn on the glowing feature on my robe. Of course, still not knowing what I fully looked like, I reach out you form a mirror in front me.

Seeing myself in the mirror I decided that I liked my new look and grinned even harder.

"Right now what do I do... Huh? Is that... Hey Piono! Is that you!"

I Shout and wave in Piono's supposed direction, at the same time, I started to float in his direction.

Blackness... Blackness was all I can see. I wonder... *did we win?* I can still move my body and feel the coldness of this black void. *am I dead?* I wonder to myself. I float in the nothingness waiting for something to happen...

I am standing in a corner of the heart (or against the wall if it has no corners or suitable substitute), being nervous about as to whether we're screwed or not. Then the Deleter is Deleted, which I notice because all the flesh around me is replaced with blue sky. (or whatever the Hexagonafield has.) I enjoy the sight for 0.09 seconds before I realize I'm no longer standing on anything.

Oh, Poppycock!

With that, I plummet to the ground loony toons style, screeching all the way.

Thankfully the fade to black happens before I slam into the ground... hopefully.

/Nullpost -

"... what the heck just happened?"

Looking around, Kyleruler sees... something. I'm not even sure what he sees, as it seems like the event has ended... sorta?
Deciding to not break reality again, I re-merge with my avatar so I can refer to my posts in the first person again. Soon after, I see Piono and Winikins in the same general area.

"Nice job, guys! We did it, with all 60 cores!" I pause quickly, as I realize the predicament we're in. "... Um... does anyone know where we are?"

Nice pixel art, BTW.

Being within the maze in the pocket dimension, I maintain continuity between rollbacks, without experiencing a void. i imagine my rollback-restored body (which may or may not have its own playerhood) will not remember the events of the rollback, since i was out of range (ie in a different dimension) when it happened, but I live.
I also note that the decree didn't mention i have to wear that particular silly hat, and, just in case its a mindcontrol device, burn it to cinders while simultaneously- so there is no time when i am not wearing a silly hat- conjure a hat which looks like it is made of dirt. dirt is silly.
man, it's nice to not have to experience black voids or confusion. hey, maybe i even have some actions to use! if so, I [3x] charge CP with them, nice and simple, aside from the hat removal if it needs an action, in which case [x2] charge CP and [x1] take off and replace silly hat.

/Probably null unless i have actions from maintaining continuity.

Piono waves away winkins and kyle
"Not right now, my head hurts..."
"Wait frick I've got life energies give me a moment guys"
Piono slowly straightens up, hovering in the void.

"...Never thought I'd wind up here again."

Storypost X
You find yourself lying on your back. Blackness surrounds you... Wait, no. Your eyes were just closed.

You slowly, slowly crack them open. Is it... over?

All the Players sit up. They feel exhausted... yet relieved.

You really did it. The Glitch... the Deleter... just barely, but you did it! You won!

For a moment, everyone sits up, and talks. The Players who died and didn't get to witness the very tail end of the event are caught up. Those who were inside and outside the Deleter compare their experiences. In that moment... you shared camaraderie.

Then, someone asks for the godmodder is, and the conversation quickly dies. Nobody knows. Where IS the godmodder at? Did he leave in the few moments he had before you all woke up?

Searching around the field, you find that, while all the [AG] and [N] entities appear to be fine, there's a few things missing... for one, the Godrunner, as well as the entirety of the Great Race, have been cleaned up. They obviously aren't really that important, compared to what you just did, but there's no enemy presence on the field with them at all. The godmodder, of course, is also missing... as are the Peacekeepers.

Every last Peacekeeper is gone. Every building, every soldier... none are left.

Eventually, someone finds a note left on the ground, using a Player-made ultrascanner to search for clues. They read it, and yell out to the rest of the team what it says...

Left to go get groceries
-Godmodder

...That isn't very helpful. But, next to the note, were some old-fashioned VHS tapes! Somebody gets a TV and VHS Player set up, and everybody sits down to watch...

Before the VHS starts, the Players are forced to sit through 5 minutes of movie trailers for movies that may or may not actually have existed. But then, finally, the actual tape starts...

The Fate of the Peacekeepers

The movie, taped in an insultingly low resolution, appears to show the godmodder activating his NOBLITERATION CHARGE, which was still quite powerful despite all the absurd changes to its wording. With his Repository charge, he was able to blow the Peacekeepers out all over the place, resulting in the trickle of units you dealt with while fighting the Deleter... but with the Nobliteration charge, he was able to do that, PLUS open some sort of portal to blow all the Peacekeepers into! The color is really bad, so you can't make out too many details... you don't know where exactly the Peacekeepers were blown too, except, well, "some other dimension".

While the tape plays, an incredibly bored-sounding narrator drawls on in the background. You don't know what the godmodder's voice sounds like, but you're pretty sure this isn't it.

"After the rollback, Quinn lost his memories. In the brief period he had awake after the rollback, he quickly deduced that, as the Deleter had not appeared, the alternative timeline must have already happened, and he and his army must have ended up failing. But he had no time to pick himself back up, for the godmodder wasn't taking any chances. Immediately activating his most powerful attack, the godmodder teleported the Peacekeepers to the afterlife, where they would never, ever be seen again. And so, the Peacekeepers, after everything, were finally defeated. The End."

The credits roll begins. "Produced by: The Godmodder. Directed by: The Godmodder. The Godmodder as played by: The Godmodder." The list goes on, but nobody really pays attention to it.

Everybody turns to each other and begins talking. The godmodder is gone. They have no objectives to complete... except possibly Loaded Dice. But beyond that...

...What happens now?

----------

Of course, before you can all REALLY settle in, you hear a familiar voice call your name...

Fenix: Players! I've returned!

This guy was... that's right... you remember him from... The Bank of Actions disaster!

???: Players! Greetings! I am the federal fraud investigator - Fenix!

Fenix: I'm sorry to say, but by the look of this place, it appears that I am too late...

You ask Fenix exactly what he means. What does he know about the situation?

Fenix: For years now, I've been trying to track down where the Bank of Actions will appear next. For many cycles of Players and godmodders, they have appeared... to scam Players out of their actions and turn a profit for themselves!

Fenix: The "interest system" they provide is merely a glorified ponzi scheme! And frankly, you should be very glad no one among you took out a loan!

Fenix: I'm sorry to say this... but your actions are most likely gone. You'll have no choice but to pick yourself up and move on.

Looking for something to do, the Players quickly gather around him. Did he do it? Did he manage to find those dirty, dirty action thieves!?

Fenix: Indeed I have. The Bank of Actions has been located, and me and my team are preparing a strike force for the raid.

Fenix: We would be most honored and grateful if you could join us. Why, you could even keep some of the powerful artifacts hidden within the Bank of Actions vault for yourself...

Fenix: And, of course, it's not just our two teams... I'm also very pleased to be say that we'll be joined by the Players from the real-world group, as well.

Fenix: I managed to convince a handful of them to come along.

This... this sounds excellent! You just won a major victory against the godmodder. And what better way to celebrate than with a raid on your least favorite place?? And you get to make new friends, too!

But... what happens to your stuff here? With the godmodder gone, it's probably best to go as a group rather than send a few Players off to the Bank of Actions. No point in leaving a handful people to stay behind at the HEXAGONAFIELD, really. Not much they could accomplish. Does that mean you'll have to abandon your entities on the HEXAGONAFIELD?

Fenix: Well, don't worry too much about that. There is a chance the godmodder could come back while you're all away, and you'll end up returning to a field full of all your dead entities...

Fenix: But, as leader of the Federal Fraud Investigators, of course I've got something to help with that. Let me just...

Fenix pulls out a remote, and presses a button. The ground rumbles a little, but stops when something breaks the surface nearby - a giant, white stasis pod!

Fenix: Meet: The Desperation Evacuation Automated Totally Harmlessness STASIS POD!

Fenix: Put your entities inside, and it will keep them safe and sound until you return from the Bank of Actions. You can put CP inside, too! ...Just in case.

Fenix: The godmodder won't get at anything inside. And I would recommend you take it - anything you take with you to the Bank of Actions, or leave here on the field, will probably die.

Fenix: Now. I'm leaving in just a few minutes. Take this turn to get ready, or do whatever you have to do.

Looks like resting time is over...

So, to be clear on the gameplay here: This is a break turn. A proper one. There's no enemies to kill, you're just getting ready to head off to the Bank of Actions. Refusing to go on this sidequest is an option, but since the real-world Players are there, allegedly... well, there's not much point to staying!

You can spend your 3 actions this turn doing whatever you want. Charging up CP, making items to take with you to the Bank of Actions... anything. It's just like a normal turn, only that the godmodder isn't around right now. For the first time in, well... ever, actually. The more you think about it, the more you realize that you all haven't actually gotten away from the godmodder as a group even once. Huh...

Now, as for your entities, CP, and inventory items, you have three options for what to do with them as you all leave the field:

1: Put them into Fenix's stasis pod(NOTE: All CP, items, and entities will do this automatically if you don't specifically note you want to keep them!)
2: Take them with you to the Bank of Actions(NOTE: This option carries with it a fairly high likelihood that you're going to lose the things you take with you.)
3: Leave them to rest here on the HEXAGONAFIELD, outside the stasis pod(NOTE: Their fate is uncertain if you do this.)

...Ah, yes, Players... I, your regular, ordinary Moniker, am back! And I've already gone ahead and reviewed the data from while I was out... and I have to say. I am deeply, legitimately sorry you all had to deal with my autoresponder. This was the only time he's actually had to do full Arbiter duties for any significant length of time, and he CLEARLY wasn't ready. And won't ever be ready. I went ahead and deleted him. The generic autoresponder will do better than he ever could.

That being said, I wouldn't worry about it at all. From now on... no more QM-ing shenanigans. I'm going to stay the QM from here on out. You guys already have too much to deal with, reality itself shouldn't turn against you.

I'm really quite amazed that you STILL managed to win. I thought I'd reward you, so I decided to both punish the godmodder and give you that reward by zapping the godmodder. He'll have 10 less HP when you see him next.

Piono frowns.

"You know Fenix... you're a lot less trustworthy seeming than the last time we saw you... How do we know we can trust that this isn't a trap? Because this suddenly feels like a trap."
"...You know what? Meta knowledge has given me a thought."
Piono sends 3 charge over to That Other Other Guy to allow him to alchemize the Third Eye. Plus 14 more from his stash

Piono sends a time duplicate over to the Project Loaded Die terminal and says "Open... SESAME". Exactly as Quinn stated it in the doomed timeline.

I vote that we spend another round waiting so that TOOG can cut through the lies on Fenix before we leave.

Alright, folks, me, karp and JOE are getting TOOG up too 100 charge, restrain Fenix, NOW. We need to find that group of real world players and keep them from charging right into whatever trap this is.

Free Action: I'm keeping all of my CP and items.

Free Action: "Fenix! We suspect you of actually being the Godmodder! Don't worry, we should be able to clear this up quickly, but I apologize for the inconvenience here.

Action 1: The Scanner Cannon fires on the DEATH stasis pod. If I spot an irregularity that could possibly kill or harm our entities or items in any way (including by allowing hostile actors into the stasis pod to cause damage), I contact the Corporation and ask if they could possibly provide a solution to this (although I don't accept their offer). Oh, and I also demand an explanation from Fenix.

Action 2: I use Za Warudo to freeze time, but since everyone is players they all come along into the time stop. Now, it technically lasts for just 5 seconds, but we all know that people can monologue for minutes while still somehow only taking up one second of time. If Fenix doesn't come into the time stop, I force him into it, and then question him on what he is if he isn't a player.

Failing this, I force the "real-time per round" variable to as low as it can go, to ensure that we have enough time to interrogate Fenix without missing our attack window on the bank.

Action 3: I create a contingency plan, the Desperation Shield Generator. This Shield Generator, while in the inventory of a player, will generate 0.1 Desperation Shields. When any (non N-2 and non-hostile) player would be killed outright, a Desperation Shield is consumed to protect heal them at the last second, leaving them at Mortally Wounded. I store the Desperation Shield Generator in my inventory and not in the stasis pod, so that it can build up energy during the raid.

I step up to Felix and offer him a handshake for his good work in organizing a strike force against the Bank of Actions. When he presumably accepts, I quickly pull him into a cold hug. Mm... body heat. With his new proximity to me, I then organize a temporal stasis around myself, freezing the particles (presumably hexagon shaped) in the air to form a barrier to prevent another semblance of physical movement. "Just a precaution. I promise."
I then pull out my second trick, a short range dimensional anchoradoor. This is a door, that acts as an anchor. So long as the door is a door, it's both absolutely adoorable, and prevents teledoortation and the like

Action 1: I go build myself a shield generator. It negates the first n points of damage dealt to a particular entity each turn. Shielded entities are targeted last in a horde!
Action 2: I assist Crusher's time distortion with some relativity.
Action 3: I create my own custom stasis pod. It's pretty darn safe, but not that big. It can still hold the engineers and their camp.
Entity Orders:
Should there be irregularities that could be bad for them in the DEATH stasis pod, the Red Army Engineers and their camp and that facility they're building will be in my stasis pod. Otherwise, they'll be in the DEATH stasis pod.

-K.

I... I'm awake? And still alive! I-We did it! 60 cores! Thank goodness for that, I had a plan for my CP.

Free action: (Summary: IC!Me goes on a long, 50% true at best ramble about the Doomed Timeline to Moniker for no reason)
And Moniker- the real Moniker, not Monikerbot 2000- is updating again! "Free! I'm finally free! Free to use three actions! Free to use free actions! Free to insult the Moniker of the past (good idea deleting him, by the way)! Free to extend the Homestuck running gag way longer than I should! Okay, maybe not that last one, but still, you get the point. And in retrospect, I shouldn't completely blame you for Monikerbot 2000. Anything that was too Monikerlike would have also been deleted along with you... but couldn't you get an apprentice? Right now it's probably moot, but you never know, so you should probably get one from outside the soul orb. Speaking of free actions, did you know that breathing is a free action? Breathing! It was horrible! And don't even get me started on that video of his. The intro was awful, and "These spiders are about to get much less spidery?" As bad as it was of a pun, it didn't even make the worst ten, and was just a worse version of a pun from two hundred lucky blocks ago! "These zombies are about to get much less zamboni!" And that one actually made sense in context, it was part of one of those really weird "Monster Army Sabotage Mission Lucky Blocks". Who would even make something like that? Here, I'll show you the whole video. http://www.28r28u8f28utinyurl2o.com/ I bored myself asleep watching it, then I bored myself awake watching it, then I bored myself asleep twice watching it, then I gave up and just woke myself up. Twice. And why did you give the Godmodder the reality cores for a gift card?!? We would have given you a better gift card! And the Godmodder probably stole the gift card back and is using it right now! And-"

*gasp*
*gasp*
*gasp*

"Er... I appear to have forgotten to breathe. You lose the habit rather quickly without free actions."

3 actions: 26 CP -> 29 CP

My CP will stay with me, I'm probably going to need it.

"...oh that's not suspicious at all." I mutter. Missing Godmodders and totally harmless stasis pods are hardly the best situation to return to. I'm definitely keeping all my items and CPs with me, I trust my hidden and complex item storage more than some stasis pod of questionable quality.

"Rotaz as the oldest remaining entity of mine I expect you to take good care of the Magitek servitor factory and the servitors if I do end up going somewhere. Only go into the offered stasis pod if it's confirmed to be absolutely safe by multiple Players."

Now in order to make sure my entities stay safe I lay a potent enchantment over my entities to form a bubble of displaced time and space to keep them out of sync with all realities and a layer of interference placed over their minds and forms to disrupt conversion and mind control esque abilities. This is set to activate automatically if I disappear to some side quest even if, despite all odds and suspicions, the stasis pod ends up being completely safe. Even if that ends up being the case stacking protections is always a good choice. (x3)

Eyes open.

Fire. Wind. Falling. Chains binding her. She doesn't understand what's happening. Sulfur assaults the nostrils as she pulls against the chains, uselessly, remembering nothing of how she got here or why.

She crashes into the dirt of the Hexagonafield moments later, just after all relevant exposition has been delivered. She lives, somehow! The thing she was chained to-a massive rock-breaks upon the earth. Or the 'earth' as one should say.

After a bit of disorientation, the girl rights herself and joins the main group, clearly clueless as she inspects herself. A red hoodie and blue jeans conceal most information, other than she's of average height and build, with tanned skin. Two black gloves hide the hands, and her boots aren't very interesting.

She looks lost, and confused, but she seems to instinctively just sit around, charging power. She seems to be looking around, scoping out as much as she can, though it isn't terribly focused...

(+3 CP)

(Keeping it with me; not like I have much to lose.)

((Yo! Just can't keep myself away forever, it seems.))

ALRIGHTY, SO!
I note that the decree didn't mention i have to wear that particular silly hat, and, just in case its a mindcontrol device, burn it to cinders while simultaneously- so there is no time when i am not wearing a silly hat- conjure a hat which looks like it is made of dirt. dirt is silly. besides, it was a Automoniker decree, and he's dead now, so it's probably invalid, but just in case!
[1x] I am still in the maze! And the goal area, at that. now, the maze is in the godmodders pocket dimension. this means that either A) I can find the godmodder, wherever he is, while he isn't expecting me. B) I am trapped here and unable to meaningfully contribute in any way. or C), can bring the maze to safety. I prod at the dimensional boundary of this pocket dimension. hm... either this is an afterlife plane, or I've come back to life somehow. probably the afterlife plane one, honestly. if not, though, i head out to the real world. but if this is (and it probably is) an afterlife plane, I shrug. the mage bees didn't actually have to do anything last time due to curse of repetativeness- same for Xilith and stuff- so...
I look around, cast magic eye to look from another perspective, and look upon my dead pigeon. no, this won't do. it's not on the hexagonafield. I call upon Xilith- master of the taint and aid of mine, also a renowned archmage- for real this time, and he comes along. the maze will run for the hour he's gone without him, he's got automated systems to deal with anything less then being invaded by others.
Well, the lock is quite a useful dimensional separation at least. it makes a strong barrier, its partially opaque- this will hopefully lower the energy cost significantly.
Xilith carves runes at the edges of the floor around the pigeon, rearranges some sections of the maze itself into magical conduits, and after a time, it is ready... except one thing, I want the Mage bees help for this. so I explain everything to the intelligent bees, which tell the thought-bee-things, which tell the mage bees when I'm near enough to them. the message is a bit diluted by the transfer, but the mage bees understand that I need their mana for them to survive(I'm bending the truth a little, it's for them to not be mindcontrolled. bite me.), as well as their knowledge of being their own dimension, like every other bee even before i made the maze multidimensional, which means they are their own dimension times TWO!
With the mage bees aid, I cast Demiplane.
Now, the Demiplane spell I'm using creates a demiplane the first time, but afterwards it links you to your old one with a normally small doorway. however, I'm pouring in a lot of mana and skill, plus some "I Said So-ness", so it makes a much larger gateway to freds pocket dimension- it's been breached, but it is My demiplane, which makes it inherently strengthen me while i'm here, and the maze is already unsolvable enough.
still, even with all the other stuff i shoved in and my affinity to the demiplane, it takes years of mana from the mage bees... don't ask how they have years of mana when the maze has only been around for a short time. those are the descriptions I got from Evonix and those are how life works.
[x0, i think?] all my entities head off into the demiplane and ultimate unsolvable nightmare. once I have confirmed they are there, i will reveal the path they take. yes, I've solved my own maze. my inventory Also goes into there. if maze is not real, they stay on main battlefield for now. i don't trust fenix.
[1x] I take a deep breath. oh, sure, I did it without a second thought the first time, but forced hesitation breads real hesitation, and I had more control over the deal last time. Still, I've thought it over, extracted a promise from some other players just in case, and come to a decision.
I Sacrifice my ability to wield legendary weapons including those that are perfect duplicates with one durability, all my infinity charmzard energy, and all energy the charmzard energy generator will make in the future to the God of Perfect Duplicates with One Durability in exchange for their full support.
Yes. I am quite sure. I've had the entire doomed timeline as time to think it over, and I'm doing it. no don't stop and ask for confirmation, unless you have some new information like 'they want even more stuff' or 'oh, it's only going to be like 1 eighth support' or something.
[1x] I cast 'sending' on fred, and have a short conversation with him. I warn him about what happened in the alternate reality, and tell him that Next time, he needs to immediately [REDACTED]. I also say a good deal of other things, correcting some misconceptions and mistakes, make some suggestions, and tell him the ephermal semi-reality understanding of some objects. this takes multiple sending spells, actually. but hey, I've got the spell slots to spare.
[1x] I look around in confusion...where'd the Godmodder go all of a sudden? are we just... skipping the boss fight? I guess keeping him from finishing the plans was a good idHey! why are my entities running away? well, I'll need to know the reason to stop it...
well uh... I investigate somethings positive and negative qualities. is the weight consistent, does heat change, does it emit player, godmodder, divine, or other energy, you know, that kind of stuff.

[1x] I- hey! what's going on with my CP? it's dropping! I charge 1 CP to counteract that, but I'd like to know why it's happening. wait no i have an idea. I alchemize my charmzard energy generater with 1 cult cube energy from srovys inventory! hopefully it gives something good and doesn't consume ingredients.
[1x] Aside from that, I magi-mystically give the mysterious farmers the power to influence the type of evolvers they end up with.
[x0 explanations]
So, I was in the pocket dimension, and we know stuff in the pocket dimension gets brought back through the rollbackenning because automoniker said so and it has no bearing on whether they get to stay the arbiter. Side note, I would like to say "I Told You So" to automoniker, because he died and he refused to be saved so there. anyway, so I was in the pocket dimension and got brought back, maintained continuity, did the 3 normal-colored actions. simple, right?
But my self from when the rollback image was taken isn't in the pocket dimension, so when the rollback occurs, that self is created as well. since I'm in the Godmodders pocket dimension, my memories would be out of range of the bringback, i think, but my in-pocket self would still have the memories, resulting in myself- still in-pocket, all memories, and myself, no memories post-img.
Now, whether this duplicates playerhood is a very good question. I don't know the answer, but am guessing it Might allow for 2 players. if it does, the cyan one is no-memory me.
of course, it's also possible that body becomes just another extension of myself, in which case nothing special happens. or that the body immediately drops dead. but I'm hoping it's the 'yes multiplayer' one.
...in which case, I can of course never directly touch his player energys with my own, since the paradoxical energies of two perfect duplications which shouldn't exist is very deadly (i suspect does not apply to god of perfect duplicates ones, since his duplicates have only 1 durability).
the dropping CP thing is from how I'm going to give TOG some CP.
