Gristaji - Sidequest 1-1
--snip--

Then I begin playing gristaji

You begin playing Gristaji, for real this time!

As you begin to play Gristaji, a large forest inexplicably sprouts around you as several vines and such sprout up. Despite being around twenty thousand feet aboved sea level, the temperature increases to around ninety degrees. The world you find yourself transported to is a dense jungle, and these changes appear to have taken affect widely... Fort Grist and the remainder of the Battelfield have become surrounded by a dense jungle for the time being, with only one clear way out - where you currently are. Anyone who bothers to look around notices a shimmering green glow from a location deep in the jungle - the same color as the Grist you are all holding. If it's that large, then... heck yea, it's worth going for!

Anyone who wants to join in the sidequest should do so now. A large pile of Grist awaits at the end of this (probably very dangerous) jungle road, and on top of it you guys are in no real risk for going on it, as you'll be transportalized back to the Battlefield when your HP hits zero. Joining is a free action, and the sidequest will truly start after the next update. As for right now, feel free to take care of Actions on the battlefield, as you won't be able to when out exploring!

Gristaji - Sidequest 1-3
Cannon || Pistol:
[LVL 3 - 5000 Grist] Cannon Pistol:
A pistol that inexplicably can fire a cannonball, dealing 3000 extra damage.

Puzzle && 1000 Years:
[LVL 0 - 0 Grist] Ornate Puzzle:
An incredibly ornate puzzle that must have taken eons to craft.

Bad Wolf && Nice Grandma && Determination && "Don't Panic":
[LVL 0 - 0 Grist] Morally Satisfying Fairy Tale:
A morally satisfying fairy tale that has no real effect other than for teaching good morals to little kids.

[LVL 5 - 12000 Grist] Gristaji -
A game similar to the game of Jumanji in it's reality warping nature, allowing the user of the game to actually play it in real life. Although extremely dangerous, there is a large amount of Grist at the end as a reward!

Capchlouge Card && Camera:
[LVL 1 - 1000 Grist] Photaugralouge Camera:
A camera that prints Capchlogue Cards of whatever it captures. Many items don't seem to register well with it though, especially considering the limited capabilities of the Capchlouge Card's limit of item possibilities...

Cannon Pistol && Cueball:
[LVL 3 - 5000 Grist] Cueball Pistol:
The Cannon Pistol, but it shoots an impossibly large pool ball. Although it does the same amount of damage as the Cannon Pistol (3000 extra), it might be more effective on billards-based entities, like
The Felt. Well, assuming they show up at least. (would come in handy in the haunted biliards room from Kingdom of Loathing)

Puzzle || 1000 Years:
[LVL 1 - 1000 Grist] Convoluted History Puzzle:
A puzzle that requires immense knowledge of the past thousand years to solve.

Magical Pencil Thing && All Eight Notebooks:
[LVL 3 - 5000 Grist] Maxwell's Notebook:
A notebook that can bring whatever's written into it on the battlefield, although it does avoid power scaling. You wouldn't be able to summon Godzilla at full power with this thing, for an example - but it can bring a vastly underpowered version of it into being. Adds 1000 Player Power to any action used to create with it.

Obligatory update on how things are currently going: absolutely nothing has changed, except now that Algot can see really well. The preview did give you a viable solution to the Needlewands, though.

Algot - You begin to traverse through the jungle as it's entrance opens up, leading down into a vast river valley filled with vegetation and various tropical animals. Parrots fly overhead through the canopy, creating a sense of wonder. You pull of a winter coat you've been wearing for the whole battle now as the entirety of the battlefield fades into the tropics left behind you...

Now that you're down here, you realize this might take a little while longer than you thought.

And then, you come across a massive, stone brick wall. Though too big to easily get over, you notice something that might be a little bit faster - a puzzle gate of sorts. Within the wall is a crevice clearly designed for some kind of item to be placed within it. On the wall right next to it is a set of pictographs, seemingly representing a fusion of some two objects. It's made easier through a label, somehow written in English, beneath:

Rose's Needlewands

You notice something else nearby as well: A second Alchemiter, but it seems... limited - almost as if you tried making anything too high-leveled with them, they'd merely explode. Though the turn on the Battlefield hasn't ended quite yet, you... somehow gain 10000 Grist to work with.

"I'm doing this cuz it's fun, loser."
I walk up the door of the fortress, pull back with my new fancy SOLAR BAT and charge up with solar energy, before smashing the door.

Harpoon Bomb && Epithet: Soup

Flintlock Blunderbusses && Epithet: Drowsy

Inventory: Oarred Longship, Blossom Bow, Shuriken Staff, Purple Dragon Belt, Paint Set, Party Rapier , Halberd Musket, Stabbing Cart, Flintlock Blunderbusses, Harpoon Bomb (Unused), Solar Bat, Viking's Cannon Halblade

-20,000 HP to the fort as it's charged up and the door swung in!

Harpoon Bomb && Epithet: Soup:
[LVL 6 - 20000 Grist] Lavacid Bomb:

A GRENADE filled with lavacid - totally not just really, really hot soup - attached to the end of the harpoon! When the harpoon hits something, it explodes and hits the opponents within the region for a totaled 10000 extra damage split among enemies it hits, on top of the base Player Power. One use only, sadly.

Flintlock Blunderbusses && Epithet: Drowsy:
[LVL 7 - 30000 Grist] Tranquilizing Flintlocks:

The flintlock blunderbusses from before, but imbued with the sleep powers of Drowsy. Has roughly a 25% chance to inflict the [Sleep] status on the foe, effectively neutralizing it for a couple turns.... looks like you'll have to wait a little bit to alchemize it though. Couple thousand Grist short.

You would find yourself within the walls, but before you can reach them....

I click my tongue and see Giovanni break in. I run up to him.

"Hang on a second, I'm coming with you. First..."

I proceed to give standing orders to the Festive Fort Grist - Focus all fire on the Ulticannon and Godmodder's Base. I turn back to Giovanni and pull out my Grist Shovel- which has never stopped being a thing but I shouldn't forget to keep it and its stats in mind... I shake the thoughts and take up a ready stance.

"Ready to show this Godmodder what we're made of?"

----------------

Grist Shovel: Equivalent of a LVL 4 Alchemy [7000 Grist], capable of digging a lot of things probably too quickly to be considered normal

Giving orders to Fort Grist to focus it's fire on the cannon, you enter the fortress with Giovanni!

/Nonactionpost

I nod at Alastair, ready to whoop some Godmodder butt

SIDEQUEST START!
As you both enter the fortress, you realize that you're directly vulnerable to attack here! If your HP bar hits zero, then you'll be kicked out of the fortress and prevented from re-entering due to being "dead" within there. You'd still be able to take actions from the primary update... and apparently, can still obtain Grist from it. You both just got 10000.

You two find yourself in the entry room of the fortress. Decorated in various ice-like and crystalline structures and chandeliers, you have a feeling the Godmodder is just messing with you... especially because there's several guards in the area. They aim their guns at you, ready to fight!

I tell meggy to go into the snowspire fortress and attack the generic guards.

Then I use the achemiter to create the needlewands using the cannon recepie: Wizard statue || knitting needles

after that I place the needlewands in the Item Crevice

Your orders go through! Meggy will enter Snowspire Fortress and attack!

Wizard Statue || Knitting Needles:
[LVL 4 - 7000 Grist] Rose's Needlewands:
There we are!

You place the Needlewands in the item crevice and the door opens! You enter further into a walled off courtyard. Rays of light shine through into a courtyard with another door at the other end. However, this time there doesn't appear to be any real puzzle - but rather, a beast of some sort. It turns around, snarling at you before backing up and seemingly protecting the door.

[There's also another worn-down Alchemiter and such here. You gain 10000 Grist.]

Flintlock Blunderbusses && Epithet: Drowsy

I first take out my LAVACID BOMB, and toss it at the guards, covering them in lava, acid, and pain!

I then take out the Oarred Longship, and struggle to lift it over my head, but after some time, I succesfully heft it above my head, and slam it on a guard's dumb, stupid, uncool FACE!

You alchemize the Tranquilizing Flintlocks for 30000 Grist!

Firing the Lavacid Bomb, it explodes and douses both guards in burning soup LAVACID, causing them sheer pain! 12000 Damage to both before you combo attack it into a smack from the Oarred Longship! The room is now covered in debris, but the guard you hit takes 15000 damage from the boat slam!

"Keep it up. I'm going to try something!"

Thinking fast, I take 1,000 Grist and begin throwing them at the Generic Guards' feet, acting as excellent impromptu marbles. While they're distracted I proceed to take my Gristphone and programming an App into it to help us map out or somehow get a direction on critical locations in the Fortress, due to the time crunch. I spend two Actions on this to make sure it works as intended.

As I program, I wince. It looks like the Arbiter had been trying to contact me.

I then blink. The Arbiter?

I shake my head. Take out the fortress first, catch up on the backlog later.

Both of the Generic Guards are tripped and stunned for the turn, giving you time to program! A map of the area formulates on your phone (and the Update) showing you a basic layout of the dungeon and it's objectives! This place... is somewhat smaller than you thought.

... Also, hi. It's a long story.

---
Map:

As you may have noticed, the map is in a vastly different and far more pixel-y style! The gold and red marker represents an objective, while the small squares represent you guys, Meggy, and the enemies. This place is also two floors, and the staircase in the area marked with a 3 has the stairs. Other areas are either side rewards for those daring enough to go for them or simply just storage - so do as you please!

End of Turn Battle:
Meggy shoots up the first Generic Guard, finishing it off! Since her creator is somewhere else, Meggy gains 3000 Grist along with Alastair and Giovanni! Despite this, she can't actually use the Alchemiter...

The other guard that isn't poofed into a pile of Grist recovers and stands at the ready!

You dispose of the other guard, gaining 9000 Grist in the process!

- snip* -

2. I ask Vulcan to guard my properties while I enter the fortress to catch up with the three other players.

- more snip* -

You enter the fortress in Area 1, the Entry Room! Although moving between various rooms takes an action per room traveled, you're free to move about and fight things if you come across them. Also, loot.

I breath a sigh of relief as I see Giovanni take care of the Guard.

"I'm going to try and go on ahead! Try and meet me in the center room on the far side of this floor - my phone picked up something important over there we need to take care of!"

With the map of the first floor all laid out, I decide to head to room 7, which means passing through room 3 in the process. Assuming this takes 2 Actions, I use my third to try and Shape about 7,000 of my Grist into another Grist Shovel. Duel Wielding these things would be useful considering I split myself off from backup. I find myself thankful that the Rule of Cool seems more a natural law like gravity than a god/God managed thing.

Grist Phone: Allows me to directly read the Updates as the Arbiter sees them - a whole bunch of words he types to help guide the battle into not complete chaos.

Doing a stealth roll across the Main Hallway, you enter into Area 7 and quickly hide behind some boxes! Area 3's troops, along with Area 7's Defense Drone, are now noticed by you and hence located on the map! Just be glad neither of them noticed you...

You also create another Grist Shovel and dual wield them!
And... for the record, I'm kinda managing the Rule of Cool. Since the Arbiter Power got set back to 10%, I've been trying to implement it.

Meggy should go North

Meggy does so, emerging into a room that appears to be unused! Although it contains some generic crates and allows a viewpoint up onto the second floor, nothing majot really appears to be in here - including enemies. Guess you got lucky! Meggy takes cover behind one of the wall corners to avoid being noticed by those in the main hallway.

then I take a pice of paper and a pencil and create a coordinate system. on it, I draw a pink vector. then I run up to the beast while still holding the paper and parry its attack. scince the vector is pink it imediately ceases to exist upon me parrying while close to it (cuphead logic) and, scince vector is a crocodile and the beast has the head of a crocodile its head also ceases to exist (obviously). so it gets decapitated and dies.

Meggy should shoot the floor open the crate and quickly go into squid form and hide in the ink, thus spending ink to open the crate carefuly.

Preview: Meggy's Ink Tank && Bag of Holding && SCP-963:
[LVL 9 - 75,000 Grist] Inkfinity Tank:
A tank fitted with a modernized Bag of Holding, allowing for a heavily extended Ink Tank and the user to go much longer without running out of ink. Additionally, allows the original wielder of the tank to utilize the tank as a container for their soul, transferring their soul to the next user of the tank when it's put on them.

Through slightly obscure logic, you manage to parry the Chimera out of existence! Obtained an additional 10000 Grist!

---
You continue through the door that the creature was guarding, finding yourself in a shaded location of the jungle you summoned. Though shadowy, you realize that the game has returned to the strange alchemy puzzles. Another door guards the way forward, and those strange faded letters are in the same location above the door. A similar item crevice opens up as the faded letters now glow, revealing their object to create in perfect lettering...
... and also gain 10000 Grist.

Current Location: Shaded Corridor
X - - X - - X - - X - - X - - X - - X

[TOC] Algot - 13000/20000 HP, 81000 Grist

[Unaligned] - Limited Alchemiter
Could probably alchemize anything LVL 4 or below rather easily.

[Unaligned] - Item Crevice
Required Items are placed here.

[Unaligned] - Glowing Text
It... uh, it says Gorilla Launcher. Why does it say Gorilla Launcher?

[Unaligned] - Door
Leads to the next area. As doors tend to do.

Infiltration - Sidequest 2-4
Inventory: Oarred Longship, Blossom Bow, Shuriken Staff, Purple Dragon Belt, Paint Set, Party Rapier , Halberd Musket, Stabbing Cart, Solar Bat, Viking's Cannon Halblade, Tranquilizing Flintlocks

I run into the room Alastair is in and smack the drone with my Shuriken Staff, striking w cool pose, before firing my blossom bow at it multiple times, and finally stabbing it with my Party Rapier with a flourish.

You enter the other room and whacking the drone with a variety of attacks, dealing a total of 8000 damage!
[There's a kinda dumb movement rule in this place where moving between rooms requires an action. You spent 2 Actions moving from Room 1 to 3 to 7.]

While Giovanni is doing their assault, I use both of my shovels to do what they were made for- Dig. Specifically, I dig into the Drone's back - while it's turned to face Giovanni's onslaught - with my shovels, tearing out huge chunks of its armor plating and body in a single minded effort to either destroy this or strip it of its Defense score trying!

Inventory:
Grist Shovel X 2: Equivalent of a LVL 4 Alchemy [7000 Grist], capable of digging a lot of things probably too quickly to be considered normal
Grist Phone: Allows me to directly read the Updates as the Arbiter sees them - a whole bunch of words he types to help guide the battle into not complete chaos.

You utilize a FOCUS action to dig into the Drone's back and strip it of it's defenses, dealing enough damage to just outright tear the thing in two! Picking up the Grist from the scraps, both you and Giovanni obtain 4000 Grist from the bot!

I decide to help Giovanni by charging the other guard and punching it with the force of a crashing truck.
then I take my new adamantium sword and upgrade it into the Attaché Calibur. Which has two forms
Closed Form

Open form

OOC: if you are confused just use these stats Gai Amatsu

You spend two actions charging through the Main Hallway and into the Southern Break Room (into nothing, the drone is scrapped), then your third upgrading your Adamantium Sword into the Attache Calibur! It now deals 5000 extra damage on an attack instead of just 2000, like before!

I take my attaché calibur and slash at the drone hopefully slashing it in half.

The drone is dead and you're out of actions!
[Also, keep track of your inventory. This is mandatory.]

-- other sidequest and inventory snip* --

Meggy should shoot the floor open the crate and quickly go into squid form and hide in the ink, thus spending ink to open the crate carefuly.

Meggy shoots the floor, covering it in ink and hiding in it! Opening the crate, a cache of 1000 Precious Grist is found as the crate is emptied! [It appears that Green represents normal Grist while gold represents the Precious variety. Probably worth going after the golden crates.]

Map:

I've updated the map and such to reflect positioning this turn, along with making the AG tokens easier to read! Sorry for any inconsistencies with item placements on the map. I kinda realized I can't just edit the old one easily and have to recreate the map every time with current software, so... uh, yea. Also, ignore the phantom guard surrounded by the black square. That's me forgetting to move the cursor.

End of Turn Battle:
Meggy uses her turn to open the crate of Precious Grist, shoot the ground, and recover her ink tank due to being in Ink! The guards in Area 3 notice the Kamen Raider and Giovanni Potage dashing through the hallway, and begin to go towards room 7 to investigate...

Location: [PG] Snowspire Fortress - 2,914,000/3,000,000 HP, Ulticannon: [ ||||| ||||| ] 4/10
A completely massive fortress built by the Godmodder. Knowing his flair for drama and also general cockiness, prep for a dungeon crawl.

1 - Entry Room:
Empty!

2 - Unused Room:

[TOC - Algot] Meggy - 5000/5000 HP, 3000 Attack, 120% Accuracy - Hidden in Ink!
Ink Tank: [
|||] - 3000 Grist, 1000 Precious Grist obtained!

[Unaligned] Looted Crate

3 - Main Hallway:

[PG] Guards x2: 30000/30000 HP x2, 8000 Attack x2
See, was calling them just "Guards" really that bad?

7 - Southern Break Room:

[AG] Alastair - 20000/20000 HP, 102,000 Grist
Hero of Tribulation 4 and a rather prominent Player in the "Last" Godmodding War.

[AG] Giovanni Potage (Plague) - 20000/20000 HP, 20000 Grist
I wonder if he still has his Epithet. Certified Cool Dude.

[AG] TheGoldenBoy - 20000/20000 HP, 193,000 Grist
You know what, just roll with it. I have Google.
