DtG: Destroy the Godmodder (The Broken Masquerade)

18/50 THUNDERSTRUCK
You know what, we need a morale boost.
LJG pulls out one of his favorite electric guitars. He hooks it up to his hover speakers and starts to play freestyle. 'Why freestyle?' some may ask. Well, simply put, freestyle gives the opportunity to make a really good song, or a really bad song. Therefore, whether or not he succeeds doesn't really matter. If the song is good, everyone is happy. If the song is bad, everyone laughs at LJG. It's a win-win scenario for everyone except for LJG.
Maybe I should have gone with an HP boost. Then we would live. Of course, that involves not playing a song, and that's no fun.

42/50 (with +2) Mekhane War Avatar
~~~~~~~~~
I travel to my forward operating vessel, the Void VIII + I, currently stationed a safe distance from the battlefield. It contains a link to my database of blueprints and research, a 100-meter-radius universal fabricator, a fairly spartan bunkspace and shower unit, and a wormhole generator. Its armor is scarred with the impacts of the last time it got too close to a warzone, but the scars are only surface deep, a testament to the hull's durability. Its engines give surprising maneuverability and speed for its size: it can stop on a dime, come about in half a second, then accelerate just as quickly. Its actual weaponry is limited: a few small point defense cannons to ward off unwanted attention, some missile bays for heavier work. When I'm flying it, I prefer to rely on outrunning my enemies or luring them into one of my fleet groups.
My ship's name comes from the eight large multipurpose drones stocked in the drone bay. They make hunts easier, and this will certainly be a hunt.
The Mekhane War Avatar will only come to fruition with a suitable power source. A heart, if you will. As loath as I am to accept supernatural devices, there is a certain perpetual motion machine often called the Heart of the Broken God. It does not tire, or break, or give out, but will power any machinery, no matter its size or complexity, until the end of the Void itself.
Tales of the Heart are numerous through the Void, but looking through my database I am able to discount most of them swiftly. A few remain, however. A tale of a mountainous machine gone on a rampage, absorbing anything metal that came near it, eventually destroyed and its heart captured. But this, too, I dismiss as falsehood. When hunting a machine god, even a broken one, my research has led me to look for manipulation of machines, not simple absorption.
This I eventually find in a single device. Called SCP-914 in the fragmented records that exist, it breaks down items into component parts, or improves them in efficiency and complexity. If it is not the Heart, it almost certainly contains it.
But the SCP Foundation is also a legend in the Void, and even if I find them, they won't give up the Heart easily. Still, best to start looking.
In my travels through the Void, I once encountered a symbol engraved in stone. It was a circle, pierced by three arrows, surrounded by a shield-like line. Beneath it were written the letters SCP. It's not much to go on, but it's something.
I program my drones with this symbol, order them to remain invisible at all times, and send them out into the Void to hunt for further instances of it. Should any of them find it, they will contact me. In the meantime, I make the final preparations. At the end of this round, the Void VIII + I will depart for the place where I first saw the SCP symbol. Anyone wishing to join me need only come to its location and board it.
Portent: 35
Ishmael: healing back home, I presume
Auma:
Iron Godlem: uh
I freeze The Dark God solid using Ice D, then smash them with a magic hammer. I then give Ice D to the Newcomer.
You smack The Dark God for 31k damage, and hand Ice D over.
35 Charges
I quickly snatch the Asteroid Shield and immediately hide my vulnerable self behind it.
You pick up the artifact.
Ishmael: healing back home, I presume
Auma: Swissarmyknife the Dark God, using immense luck to not let him dodge or counter.
Iron Godlem: uh
Let's play with some definitions real quick.
"Undead: technically dead but still animate."
"Dead: characterized by a lack of activity or excitement./having lost sensation; numb./having or displaying no emotion, sympathy, or sensitivity."
By these definitions, P5's agent is very clearly undead, and is therefore retroactively instantly murdered by the Sun last round.
I use cerebrocrown to create another plan. I then hand it to W32 and give E to Auma.
P5 Retroactively takes Sun Damage. Your Artifacts are relocated.
Yes. The Pipe Orcan returns.
LJG takes a harp (Musical Instrument). Now, this is not one of those small hand harps most commonly known as a lyre. It is an actual full sized harp. This is important. LJG next pulls a bundle of arrows (Pointing Instruments) out of his guitar case. Next, he strings these upon the harp strings. This is where the full harp bit comes into play since a full harp has more strings. LJG then plays a quick little tune of medieval origin. He then pulls back each string to its maximum elasticity. Finally, he releases, launching a full volley of arrows at the Dark God.
I wonder if a Godmodder Image is as tough as a Godmodder. It probably is. I'll test this theory... later.
You shoot The Dark God with a flurry for 40k.
BONUS:
check Clockwork Carver (present) && Phoenix Lance (way back when)
Action: If TOG just killed FAN I grab the drops. Otherwise, I walk around until it is directly between me and the Dark God, and poke it. Very hard. The Stock Nanoplate's nanotech swarms over the surface, killing it immediately, then holds it together to hide me from the Dark Gods view while I prepare. a moment later, the nanomachines pull themselves apart and an undulating strand of red light flashes out. flashing in the Dark Gods eyes, the prism blade's light distracts them while a Nanoplate-enhanced motion sends me flying towards them. Raising Eternitys Eradicator, I slash a jagged scar into their neck.
This is, of course, a distraction. I have, after all, already picked up the SO Headband from the fallen Neckbeast, and so the somewhat more considerable arsenal of Celesial Might is more prudent for use. a wave of light shoots out of the band, slamming into the side of their head. They recoil, perhaps, or remain motionless. regardless, I am certainly blasted away, and land back on the staging ground of Pebbletopia.
The attack isn't over. They can tell, They can't taken the base (46 // 51) thousand damage yet, nevermind creativity boosts that may or may not be present. So what...
I raise my eyebrow, and point at them. then down a little. They look down, and see the jagged, red scar on their neck.
The distraction doesn't have to be ineffectual, after all.
"Hey DCCCV, Astrec. Sorry for all the delay so far, in theory [I] could be done, but... I've more then one life to live, And I've never claimed to be good at prioretizing : P"
"Oh, and uh, DCCCV, can I have a plus one so I can finish off my charge this round?"
statement Removed, I did the math wrong.
Clockwork Carver && Phoenix Lance = Spacetime Tesseract. A large box that's smaller on the outside. Unfortunately, you don't have the key to opening it.
You defeat the Fractal Astral Neckbeast, pick up the Spaced-Out Headband, and leave a gash across The Dark God's neck for 65k damage.
6/50 I dreamt of foolish aspect that knew the pains of love and mindloss degradation shelves
Enter TOG's universe and assess both population and damage. Let's see if there's even 36 people to find.
If there's action power left, I negative gun myself repeatedly, repairing my body as a result. The power of modern medicine in firearms!
One moment, I need to assess the survivors. Gotta make sure the obligation is fulfillable before I make it. While we're searching, any further comments?
BONUS: Ectobiology Station || Space Frog
Let's see if we can make the frog apparatus directly, or at least manufacturing ribosome.
Entering TOG's universe, you get the feeling that something is distinctly wrong. Fear permeates the very air, as if judgement is nigh.
"There will be enough people within the universe to hear your endorsement."
Ectobiology Station || Space Frog = Johnny 5. ****.
Bonus : check ~Left Hand of the shadow (meaning, the inverse of that.)
"Pit Fiends, Reform on me!"
I retreat away from the conflict, extending the Pebbletopian platform along in the process, as a place to stand. The Fiends follow.
"Guard me!"
I look at the summoning stave. Then I change my mind. Instead, I focus normally, without a focuser object. the rift itself should be simple, anyhow.
The Spaced Out headband glows for a moment before I clamp down on that. I just said No focuser object. By standard will, a rift appears in front of me, formed of nothing touched by alchemy. only my will, expressed into the distant past across unknown space.
Through it, The facility acts as I now order:
[Clone researchers: 20 RP. Purchase drones: 9 RP. Release Mindless Amalgamation Body. Begin new cloning project: Try cloning several instances of a mix between a researcher and the amalgamation, to serve as guards for the Facility. Or just more amalgamation. your choice, scientists!]
The three drones fly out, towards the old Amalgamation. I issue an overrule. It's not on our side any more. They change directions and enter defensive orbit around me.
Then, with only minor strain on the rift, the mentally crippled Amalgamation Body flops out of the portal on a wagon. Whatever gets the job done, I suppose.
29 CP expended. 1 action expended.
Bands of light reach out from my form, glowing goldenrod. some grab scraps of metal nearby, reforming them into scalpels and other equipment. Others reach into the Amalgamation Body, reforming its flesh directly. Working calmly and well, screened from attack by the Fiends and Drones, I remold its blood vessels, slice off some useless parts (appendix, anyone? : P), and open a small, thin, branching cavity roughly the shape of a stick figure. It's most definitely Not enough space for me to fit into. That's fine. After all, it's intentional. Enough space for me to fit in on a standard-clone-sized Amalgamation would be rather disruptive to bodily processes.... If that space isn't bent, anyway.
A tendril of Goldenrod goes to the spatial spear. The vast majority of energy uses have been by enemies. Playing faster and looser would have stopped the Neckbeast; I've learned my lesson on that. I draw a single unit of spatial energy from the spear, and force it into the Amalgamations neck- The entry point for the stickfigure of emptyness. It expands the empty space, and holds it there, until reality accepts my manipulation, and remains in place. Then, with some additional, but temporary and not S.charge-based manipulation, I enter the suit, and then with a moments thought seal the entrance. Ensconed within the Amalgamation Body, I set to work interfacing my nerves into its own, serving as its brain and my brain simultaneously. A simple temporal spell (-1 Temporal Charge) solves the issues of concentration- While it may have otherwise been difficult to multitask both the Amalgamation's Skills and Descended-reality-warping, With my brain accelerated (not too much, only x1.5 or so) it will be much simpler. It can't be that hard- The Amalgamation could do it, and it had only been alive for minutes!
In summary, through Cloning and Charges and Spacial energy and Temporal energy, I now use the Amalgamation...
As a Mech Suit.
Then I have an idea and grab the E's, integrating them into the Amalgamation-mechsuit if it is possible and will be more effective then otherwise.
[intent: Artifact has health, will protect my health until depleted. (I'll put defensive artefacts on the outside of this one so they guard it too, obviously.) Artifact has Amalgamations specials, but as an artifact it can't act itself, I'd need to use them with an action. Artifact might protect my other artifacts from being stolen if I keep them inside the warped space thing? It's like a mecha suit, so its hands and stuff are used for everything and stuff.
so, this artifact can, in general, be treated as an entity which acts in the player phase (as my actions), and is bodyguarding me perpetually. if something buffed its AC, that affects it taking damage, not me; If something buffs its attack, I'm not sure- maybe it would do extra damage with the specials? *shrug*. If there's extra charge involved, it grants the suit a significant health regen, or maybe makes it possible to alchemize with without summoning invincible demons (probably just the first one). If there's a Lot of extra charge, like 9 goes to giving it 3 base AC.]
[Alternative desc:
[A] Amalgamation Mecha 200,000/200,000 HP 1/2 Blood 1/3 Light 1/5 Oblivion 1/7 Metal 1/11 Godmod
Passive: a mecha. bodyguards the user.
special: Blood. can be used to preform the Amalgamation special, blood, whatever it does.
special: light. can be used to preform the Amalgamation special, light, whatever it does.
special: oblivion. can be used to preform the Amalgamation special, oblivion, whatever it does.
special: metal. can be used to preform the Amalgamation special, metal, whatever it does.
special: Godmod. can be used to preform the Amalgamation special, Godmod, whatever it does.
Passive: Person-shaped. Artifacts may be equipped to the Amalgamation Mecha while it is being piloted by someone. The person inside the Mecha will be able to use these artifacts, but they will be steelable.
Passive: Sealed In. Artifacts held directly by the pilot will not be usable if their effects can be stopped by matter, or affect matter they pass through.
Passive: Cell replication(?). Regenerates health at the end of round 'n stuff.?]
The facility calls in three drones.
Using 20 Charges, you create the Amalgamation Biosuit. On one hand, wow. That's some impressive use of cloning. On the other, ew.
~Left Hand of The Shadow = Beacon's eye. A glowing sphere of white light gives insight to those who replace their eye with it.
[A] Beacon's Eye. +36% Accuracy.
I stay in the pool for one more action. The curse is doing enough that I need the healing. But I can start charging for the strike now.
I yell "Joe. Is it okay if I test an alchemy with that stock nanoplate stuff you have?"
While I wait for a response, I try Dead Star Plate && Graphene
You continue to heal yourself up for 5 hp.
Dead Star Plate && Graphene = Dense Carbon.
7/50 Physician heals thyself: command completion registered
...Weave. Even if only a fragment, repair. Once, I founded energy. Now, we will knit together the lost.
Future's Echo: Silver Bolt that Replenishes the Concept Core. Hands dance, drawing forth silken existence-mesh. Recall, eyes that created the world. Aesir-cum-Jubileus is old hat, so I shall bring new stones to this garden. Xolotl's right, you know. The ancient power is to return, but for how long, dread phoenix? Not one body working alone, but four young men made of madness, working together though perhaps at the moment strained in relations.
I, we, whatever it is, there is the dance like spiders of our eyes. We turn outward, paraphysical sideways, moving at strange angles to draw eye across and hand onto the medium. The hands that heal bear frogsilk and the benefice of the new. Be repaired, innocent universe.
I will heal TOG's universe for a while, searching for some place to forward the word of demons if we have not already found it. It is sad to be an agent without will. A puppet of a complete monster to the last, at the behest of someone else's song.
BONUS: Dear Arbiter, would you be so kind to tell me what you know of Hell in a world whose Heaven follows a different past? I fear God is absent and the Metatron dead, but you probably have a story to tell me about what you were told, and what is verifiable.
Your very presence alleviates the wrongness and inevitability everyone is feeling. 40k Hp is restored to TOG's Universe.
As a child, I was taught that there was no afterlife. It makes life all the more valuable to me, since I know I won't see the dead in some higher plane of existence.
"It's not really Mine. It's either Mine or The Iron Prince's. Regardless, Neither I nor Myself have issue with that."
Astrec stares.
"Are you gorillaing kidding me. It ate my arm. Seriously. Um. At least I still have my other arm. Hmph."
Astrec performs the alchemy:
Sword || Time Energy && Space Energy && Oblivion energy && Gravity Energy && Concept: Legend && Canned Entropic Decay && Canned Descendancy && Voidsteel && Godly Energy && Energy Energy && Magic Energy && Fire Energy && Water Energy && Lighting Energy && && Book of Legends && Transcript of the Poem Descended get their name from && Picture of the Pionomodder && Calamity by Brandon Sanderson && Picture of all Praetorians && Piece of paper with "901" written on it
and hopes this actually gets him a weapon.
Then he asks the Newcomer if we would mind chucking him a +1 or +2 for his charge, then inserts the Origin Block into the Godarm, sorta like how there's a command block in the Banhammer, transforms the Godarm into a hammer arm, and bashes the Dark Lord's face in.
Then he removes the Origin Block from the arm, and uses it to manipulate reality's code to add the tag bossheal.effect to him, greatly healing him.
Looks like you used too many &&s.
You then slam the Dark Lord for 70k damage and apply a regeneration effect to yourself. Your other Alchemy can't happen, as you've done everything you can this action.
At any rate, JOE (enclosed in his newfound AMALGAMATION MECH SUIT) takes a couple wobbly steps, then compensates and strides back over to the Pebbletopia battlefield,retracting the additional platform parts. raising his right hand, an almost imperceptibly dim glow of cyan light emitting from it. The appropriate pieces glow, and move into place with utmost precision.
Or simply move silently, as the case may be.
"Alright, DCCCV. It's your move, and you'd best do something soon. I don't think things are going well enough for you to win without doing Something... new."
/nul
"You know that's actually not my name, right?"
I look around at everything. I decide to do something. The green liquid suddenly explodes from the tank, and I say some muttered words in the namekian tongue. Suddenly, it rushes out to everyone in the vicinity, and some type of slight barrier is formed. It is intended to weaken the curse a little.
Dead Star Plate || Graphene
The potency of the curse is unyielding.
At the same time, however, there are also more pressing matters.
You return to the land of the living.
The Godmodder Image continues to watch events unfold on the battlefield, but doesn't do anything. The Attack Ships 100k damage to 3A 4. B & C make Morale.
3A 4 tears out chunks of TOG's Universe for 50k damage, and The Amalgamation uses Blood to transfuse itself with it's very essence for 75k. The Dark God throws two shafts of crackling energy at TOG's Universe, compromising it's very integrity for 200k. This act damages the Iron Prince's communications within the universe, causing eight ships to go inactive in the Void.
-8 PG Morale
As the Newcomer slowly heals himself through a quick bowl of cereal, he also flips through two more sections of the Guide.
[8] Miscellaneous Qualities
Here's some other things to being a Descended that I've found:
First off, your appearance reflects your mental self-image. As you use your powers, you'll slowly change to be more like your ideal vision of yourself. If you imagine yourself to be taller, you'll start growing. If you think you should be younger, you will get younger. Scars might heal, limbs might regrow, anything could happen. It's sort of like the powers of SHAZAM, if you know who that is.
You can survive the energies of the Void. You won't slowly fade away if you sit around in the Void for too long. Useful, right?
There are a lot of other cool things to being a descended, but these are just a few you should know. Ask me about it if you ever see me around.
[9] ADVANCED: How did I get these powers?
In order to become a descended, you must be exposed to the energies of the Void.
How this happens is disagreed upon. Most people believe that you can only become a Descended upon leaving your universe for the first time. However, I don't think that's necessarily the case.
There have been many reported cases of Descended surfacing after the actions of a Godmodder, or another Descended. It is for this reason that I believe it is possible to become a Descended through secondhand exposure to the Void as well.
After this, he forcibly teleports Winkins to his side, and breaks Ice D over his knee, creating a sphere of concentrated Cold to effectively freeze time.
"This is all I can do. If you don't heal yourself next round, The Dark God's Aura will instantly kill you. Work quickly."
Auma sears the Dark God for 150k damage. The Pit Fiends strike at the Dark God for 40k Damage, but get struck for 25k each back, as well as afflicted by Curse. The Pipe Orcan toots it's horn at the [???] Forces, dealing 30k damage to all of them, but taking 60k damage and gets Cursed, as The Dark God shouts back really hard. Everything is wracked by All Will Perish.
Auma: Swissarmyknife the Dark God, using immense luck to not let him dodge or counter.
Iron Godlem: uh
I cast Flame Aegis on Auma, using up the scroll to protect them.
I use leftover oblivion energies to create thorny pins or energy and pin the Dark God to the ground, damaging them, but also lowering their dodge rate.
bone ox: I quickly grab E and the Orrery mantel, putting both on the Amalgamation biosuit so they affect that healthbar.
standard - Having done so, The Amalgamation Biosuit // I turn back to look at the Pebbletopia battlefield simulator thing (and not-DCCCV), nod slightly, and raise a hand, veins on the arm continuing to pulse oblivion as they have in the past. Then, I turn back around and look at the Dark God. With a twitch of will, a wave of celestial energy runs down the arm, building in strength as it moves, before it reaches the tip and flys off as a shimmering arrow, trailing light. It's almost beautiful as it rockets forward, purple and blue and oh-so-deadly.
And it sails right over the Dark God's shoulders, slamming into the Corrupted AMALGAMATION's head. The void immediately surrounding it shudders for a moment, a cloud of blood and dust and light expanding from the impact. a moment passes. Then the Arrow of celestial light flys out the other side of the cloud, which begins to clear. There's a hole in the Amalgamation's head, straight through its brain. Oh, it's still alive, but the guiding intellect is nowhere to be found. I think I'll give this one to someone else. Or make it into a weapon? well, depends on if it works I suppose.
Hmm, still no energy from the person who never calls himself anything but newcomer. Slightly irritating, but whatever. I do have an idea. I throw the Hive Matter Suit at the Dark God, and then throw a small energy blast at it. That armor explodes when attacked. It says nothing of whether the owner is attacked. Otherwise, even though I am still wearing the non blow up in my face or draw attacks to me armor, I would have exploded from the curse. Therefore, the armor must be hit. It has now been hit at roughly point blank range to the Dark God's face. That can't be pleasant.
Wait a second, we can freeze time!? Why haven't I tried that?
LJG takes a hand (Holding Instrument) out of his pocket.
Everyone, let's give the Dark God a hand!
He tosses the hand at the Dark God. Suddenly, more hands start appearing around the Dark God. Each hand is different. Some are small and fat, others have long, skinny fingers, and a few are just plain skeletons. They all seem a bit confused and discombobulated. Then, the hands start clapping, each one finding a similar partner hand. After watching them do this for a few moments, LJG snaps. He then snaps again. The hands slowly get the memo and start snapping themselves, being civilized, poetic hands that snap instead of applauding. He lets this go on for a while and then does a fist bump with himself. The hands catch on faster this time and go back to their partner hands and fist bump. Finally, LJG does a high five with himself. The hands do the same. Now that the tests are complete, LJG does what he's been waiting for: a secret handshake. It starts with him shaking his own hand. He then goes and fist bumps whoever would be in front of him with both his hands. He blows it up and then proceeds to air slap whoever's hand would be in front of his. He ends it by giving a high five to the theoretical person in front of him. Now, the hands return the commands and do this to the Dark God in front of them. Of course, if you don't know the secret hand shake, you just end up getting slapped around for no real reason. Once the hands are done, LJG puts his hands into his pockets and the hands in front of him disappear.
If only we were friends. Then the Dark God would have known the secret handshake and been fine.
It's times like this when I wonder, "What if I did have artifacts?" I'm thinking that I would be not alive, but everyone else would be further from joining me.
LJG pulls out a hand-held piano that only seems to have one measure on it (Musical Instrument). He positions one hand on the keys as any normal piano player would, and hits a single note: B flat. Suddenly, 3 black keys and 3 white keys appear above the Dark God. 2 black keys and 4 white keys appear below. Each key faces the Dark God so that the flat side is pointing at him. They then converge on each other, crushing the Dark God between them.
Why don't I have artifacts? I'm constantly using items, just nothing important enough to keep. Then again, I think I have duplicate things in by bag, so I should be fine.
Rogue Amalgamation uses Oblivion to deal 450k damage to TOG's Universe. The Dark God gets weaker. All Will Perish disappears. He throws one blast at TOG's Universe for 98k damage (49k to Attack Ships, Black Hole, 3 damage to Smirk). This destabilizes his Red Matter Suit, killing Smirk instantly, as well as dealing 100k damage to the Godmodder Shade, Attack Ships, Amalgamation and Dark God. The Black Hole absorbs his alchemies. The Dark God then attacks JOE next, missing him, but dealing 7 damage to Winkins, 4 to Nedben, and 49k to two of his Bodyguard Drones.
Thanks, you too.
Task complete, I toss the misc alchemy ingredients into nonartifact inventory, then hop back outside the universe. I've got something to do shortly afterward.
Hey, you all on the skips, could you see about grabbing me Lord Kairos and possibly double-check the Broken God for compatibility with Autochthon? Nedben's intrusive thoughts are getting talkative. Hell, grabbing some anartists if you find any on the way willing to join would be pretty useful: we could use them as a backline base.
