so, P5 killed 2 guard drones and the PGS last round to get to the templars... that's ~200,000 damage, lets say. so, to keep them here, I need to force them to preform 200,000 damage's worth of not-leaving actions.
[PG] P5. 16/50 Hp. [A] The Rod. +413,000 Attack Boost. Absolute Control Over Oblivion.
P5 only has 16 HP left, and the templars were able to do 18 damage to him last round. With the addition of Nogatu and the PGS, that should be enough. so, unless P5 can do... 40,000 + 50,000 +80,000 + between 28 and 50 thousand +12,000 damage this round, which is... (210+ up to 32)k damage which is more then last round, so hopefully they'll get stopped... and then there's the attacks on them. To avoid dying, they'll need to put some effort into blocking as well.
ANYWAY!
First order of business, the Miner with the Discount Elemental Alchemies. he did a full 5 damage to P5! it's incredibly, better then a player on average I do believe. He deserves a promotion.
So I give him one.

A Legend in the making [A] Discount Elemental Alchemies. +25,000 Attack (
Definer)
Definer:
This Artefact defines Zeyron's individuality and led to his freedom from Templar control. he will hold onto it if it kills him.
A Legend in the making:
Zeyron started from humble beginnings. humbler then even a project head, who begins with 20k hp and creation skills. he was a miner, nameless, with a fifth the health and unreliable even at his jobs. But then he grabbed a relic, and entered combat. Zeyron is undeniably heroic and brave, and will no doubt grow from here on out.
(no tangible mechanical effects. will hopefully be considered as a factor in decisions regarding allowing Zeyron to grow into further importance.)
Elemental Ignition:
has a cooldown instead of a charge up. involves using one of the discount elemental alchemies to do something. one specifically, not the whole set; thus, the effect is likely specialized. however, overall power is larger then a standard attack.
Zeyron focusses on surviving via
Elemental Ignition, unless it looks like P5 will just barely survive themselves, in which case they join the attack.
Facility expends 3 WP to create a drone to guard the portal just in case, as well as 2WP a clone to join it.
I continue charging P5 on the Primal Guardian Spirit.
as we approach, the PGS fires off a spike of multiple elements. First, dirt flys in P5's eyes. perhaps it doesn't hit them, but the brown substance would still obscure their vision. Then, they burst into flames while freezing to death, and the magic surrounding them becomes extremely reactive, limiting Spellcasting,(Even if you're a master with the bow and arrow, firing accurately while on a moving truck driving over a pothole during an earthquake is going to be a challenge and quite unreliable. Same principle.) and the spike of all remaining elements slams into their back. I take a running leap off the PGS's chainmail-like body and, with a shimmer like molten air,I step in front of P5.
I wave my hand around, holding the Spacial Spear, but not drawing on its spacial charges- just using its affinity with space to focus my use of the space element (If the templars ask, I'll say it was the spear, But it isn't really.). I look quite silly, honestly.
-1 C (player charge, not spear charge)
The air shimmers again, and 5 tubes of space expand from the size of a speck to a meter wide. Two of them run straight through where P5 is... or was. The others hem him in. a meter-wide hole in your body is rather painful.
Aware of the risk of counterattack, I blink, and in a flash of cyan I'm back behind the PGS. Pointing the spear at P5 again,I slash it downwards, channelling a moving ripple of space which messes with sight, gravity, motion, and any living things it touches. continuing with the momentum, I twirl the spear and jab it forwards at them, again sending out a ripple, but this one is thinner. With a wave of my other hand, a variety of cyan-glowing weapon-outlines appear, and fly at P5. These weapon-outlines are astral-formed portals, quite similar to spatial distortions in all by shape. They should serve as a distraction nicely for a moment or two, due to the exotic places the portals lead (and as such, the exotic effects of their presence- one leads to a volcano and leaks tiny droplets of magma, while another is in the middle of a thunderstorm and spits out high-speed hail and lightning. A third is in space and sucks away the air. Etcetra, etcetra.). While P5's concentrating on that,I...
Intermission within atak!
Science fiction stories are never realistic for one reason; they do not use probability distributions. The same thing goes for every other story not set in the real past. so too goes writing of these attacks; I say something happens, not what might happen I say "while P5's concentrating on that", not "while P5's concentrating on it with 50% probability, shrugging it off with 35% probability, and tanking the hit to interrupt me with 15% probability". so, I'm going to fix that a little.
/Intermission.

Flick my wrist and send the radiation gun spinning from its hidden holster up my sleeve into my waiting hand with a 40% probability, reach my hand into my pocket and withdraw a long stick of common wood with 45% probability, and conjure a swirling mass of celestial metal "wings" with 15% probability, before
GUNEQUALSCYAN firing precision photon beams at P5 with 16% (40% of the gun chance) probability, inscribe a highly-detailed pattern into the ground by turning select parts into silicon with radiation as a 20% probability(50%of GC), fire the gun up to create a massive cone of Mananite which I tip down onto P5 at 4% probability, WANDEQUALSPURPLE creating massive amounts of tiny, stealthy spatial mines in every area far enough that P5 has a decent chance of not seeing any given mine form with 22.5% probability, raising the ground up in a massive wash of dirt around P5 to blind them with 17.5% probability, sending a swirling wash of goldenrod not-fire at them with 5% probability, MASSOFMETALEQUALSTHIS creating an array of spinning metal drills which catch the light in blinding flashes before flying at P5 with 5% probability, rearrange into several focussing megaphone-like tubes before sending forth a homing sphere of golden lightning with 5% probability, and rearranging into to pairs of wings which ring metalically and create two eye-like spheres of golden electric-fire-light-energy which then release dual spherical waves of such light-energy-fire-electricity that mostly push back those they hit but also cause mild pain with a 5% probability
Now, P5 was a bit distracted while I was doing this, and I quickly activate an invisibility feature on options 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9, so they don't know what I've done except for whether it was potshots/dirtwash. if it was not either of those- 16+22.5% chance of those, so 38.5% chance that he can see something happen, but otherwise, he has no idea what I've done. The mystery of which throws him off, and he must either block against every possibility (plus all the others i definitely didn't do, but might have as far as he knows), or tank whatever I did.
Should it be the dirt wash, I blink to a random side of the vision-obscuring dirt dome and slap a hand down on it. Remembering at the last second not to use magic, my wand turns into a quill with 35% probability, a spike of engraved stone with 25% probability, and a massive sphere of ink with 40% probability. I then use either time-warping and advanced physical dexterity or telekinisis to write, carve, or otherwise apply many complicated markings on the dome. If P5 is still within the dome, I activate roughly a third of these markings, bending space in many tubes which go through the dome- if P5 is indeed still within, there's no avoiding having the tubes cut numerous holes in their body. The tubes are being created using chakra seals, as a note- Storage seals are a relatively simple application of fuinjatust or whatever its called, and they can store large objects in a slip of paper; clearly, seals can warp space. So these do.
Should P5 have exited the dome, I quickly blink away from them, and invert the seals. Instead of expanding space on the inside, they shrink it on the outside. This pulls anything in such space much closer to the sphere, which I then set to explode. The explosions are likely worthless, but do I care? No. It's all a DiSTAction.
Now, by this point I think you can understand my methods here (if only because I've listed 9 different ones and then some), so CUT AWAY to another thing that's happening.
"Aware of the risk of counterattack, I blink, and in a flash of cyan I'm back behind the PGS."
This wasn't a simple transport motion, of course. Everything has a hidden meaning, except when it doesn't. And in this case, it does.

This was the action of creating a temporary clone. Not for combat, though. This little clone is on a search mission.
[A] Mithril Exo-Toa. 393,000/400,000 Hp. Immune to Magic!
. The wave destroys the Exo-Toa Suits,
Ah, there it is. We were indeed in this floating void barnyard at this point. now, this wave was a 'surge of electromagnetic radiation', so it wouldn't have destroyed the material. As well, nobody made use of this Magic-proof material for several rounds thereafter.
So, my clone grabs the ruined relic of the Exo-Toa suit, and does a quick patch-up job. This is still arduously slow at the speeds of magical combat, hence my stalling tactics. However, eventually, it is done, and I have a magic-proof clone. The armor won't last long against anything that isn't magical, but magic won't touch it.
The clone arrives and socks P5 upside the head. this stuns them for a few moments with 15% probability, fails due to oblivion despite the immunity to magic with 35% probability, and only injures them but not stuns them with 50% probability.
Then, The clone rips the rod out of their hands with 10% probability, continues to slam metal fists into them with 5% probability, Dispels itself while activating a space-tearing mine embedded into the suit with 30% probability, dispels itself without doing that with 5% probability, breaks their arms with a high-speed ramming punch with 35% probability ,and snaps their neck while kicking them in the spleen with 15% probability.
should the rod have been obtained, I use the spear to transfer the clone outside of the barrier and far away so P5 can't follow them.
however, that's only a 10% or so probability. If P5 dies in the onslaught, I grab The Rod. if P5 neutralizes the suit somehow, battle continues in the stalling manner while I try to think of something. if P5s bones are broken by my clone in the suit, the clone then activates a Radiation Grenade, set to non-directional gravity (slows down time by bending space time), tears off P5's arm (whichever one they're holding The Rod in) at superspeed, and runs. If P5 avoids this, I again resume my previous tactics, but with a Oblivion-proof brute mixed into it.
assuming the battle isn't over yet, P5's body is deteriorating in condition, and since I've probably run through several of my probabilistic attack methods by now, they're sporting a whole lot of space-based tears and holes in their body, and struggling to avoid the mines I've probably scattered.
I proceed to send out a particularly blistering assault (
retrieving a large Golden key from behind my back, I slash the air and fire out a beam of blinding golden light into their eyes. As it either hits or forces a dodge, the key flashes and draws on a blue ring on one of my fingers with a plain white-blue rock set in it, creating an array of golden weapons behind me. I mentally tilt these weapons towards space-bending and light-shooting ones, and let loose. right as this assault hits, I blink twenty paces behind P5 and slash the spear, sending another wave of space- this one actually composed of some 10 different, thin waves which each may very well cut P5 apart, before the stone beneath them falls away and a gravitational hammer lances out of it to send them flying),
and draw on spatial charges for the first time yet (recall, until now I was only using the spears high affinity to help focus and channel such abilities).
-1 Spacial Spear charge
The air around P5 flickers like hot summer air, and with a flash of orange, they find they have no more shoulder, on whichever side they held the rod. Their shoulder lands a fair distance from them, with the Templars, PGS (who repositioned to be near them after the initial spike), and Zeyron between them and it. I snap the spatial connection, leaving their shoulder there and no longer part of their body. Then, their shoulder is disconnected from the rest of their arm at the elbow. Then the hand. Then The Rod is completely disconnected from any part of them, and a shimmering orange barrier appears around The Rod, keeping it inaccessible to them for the turn.
There we go, That should do it.
MORE TO FOLLOW? maybe? prob ably not?
