Well, that leads to the question of what the core gameplay of DTG actually is. And we need to know what aspects of gameplay people actually like and focus on those. And more random ideas so that there are plenty to go around...
A boss that gives players debuffs and those afflicted can either ignore them or spend their actions to remove them.
One that takes extra damage from joint attacks (and that is outright stated) but players assist eachother, they take damage.
One with absurdly high health, but it summons adds that give massive attack boosts to whatever kills it.
One that gives out items to buff entities, but every few turns it deals damage to all entities that got the buff.
One that gets weaker whenever it kills an enemy.
One that takes more damage and deals more when a specific kind of entity has been summoned
One that summons entities based on the attacks it takes.

Honestly, as much as I suck at fighting them, I prefer bosses that run off flavor text and force you to actually be clever or do something spectacularly NUKE HAM to kill them, Pionoplayer style.
I sort of figured that people would notice it tazz, and people did, as the massive five-person death laser that finished him off (only one of the attacks I believe was tacked on by me) even being attempted shows.
Additionally, it should have been obvious because I made a point of pointing it out that every single time people combo'd piono, it hit him.
Every. Single. Dang. Time.
But I don't think DTG is so bad with the RP.
The problem is when people try to say that RP is king above all, and I'll admit I've been guilty of some of that, but DTG is ultimately a game, so its sort of important to make sure that even when role playing is having a big effect in what's going on, it isn't necessary to join in.
But really, the role-playing enriched the game. I've noticed that the most popular points in time were where character development and flavor text were important, at least in the tvtropes session.

Incidentally, because I think about science, and ways to make things make sense scientifically, a great deal, the whole thing with telling Wilson combat nanites are addictive wasn't strictly true. Basically, the quick-use ones, the ones in syringes rather than the ones that need cybernetic surgery, synthesize amphetamines and similar to keep the user awake, rational, immune to pain, and at their physical peak, with obvious downsides long-term They can also perform ridiculously fast and effective surgery on a microscopic scale without you noticing, replace your teeth, and render you immune to any intoxicants or poisons they don't make themselves.
The implanted version is sort of like having a Crysis nanosuit built into your entire body at a cellular level. The entire crew of Anachron has that version. Yeah.
Yeah... I don't think Hank or Sanford would've let you do that.
Hank's got a nose for this kind of thing from experience, and Sanford's a bit of a bookworm/game geek. Not a whole lot, but he's familiar with different things.
Especially since said pieces of knowledge became relevant.

Personally, Ire, I'd say that you're a bit behind, despite the fact that DTG0 will almost certainly be occurring between DTG2 and DTG3, but that is likely just because I overplan excessively. Big things are coming. You can't stop me.

I think a lot of people are planning stuff. I am. I have a few ideas. And by a few, I mean a ton. Some of them are even related to the main storyline! Such as all those random boss gimmicks I threw out.
I think that twin's going to give us a say in anything extra he adds, but if he does Trifecta, I suspect it'd mostly be stuff from in the forum game mostly, with all extra stuff just being cleaning up so that it shifts mediums better.

Willow (maybe)
There's a difference between a hero and a champion. A champion overcomes threats, but a hero overcomes fears.

The core of DTG is creativity. The Godmodder forces you to be creative and novel in your attacks.
Oh no
Well, TBH I LIKED all the roleplay and emphasis on plot that DTG 2 had. Games without plot are boring in my opinion.
I sort of figured that people would notice it tazz, and people did, as the massive five-person death laser that finished him off (only one of the attacks I believe was tacked on by me) even being attempted shows.

At least, not yet.
But Talist has 25 health, why'd he suddenly take 6000 damage?

That my friend, is called a massive mistake.

...is it bad that I'm still planning for DTG 3? I have some story stuff planned, stuff for a potential sidequest, random entity plans, ect...
The dream that you've never dreamed is suddenly about to FLOWER.
Chair-City? (Ind) (Tra)
...Why would it be? I'm not really doing it, but I don't plan much of anything out beforehand, in or out of real life.

I think we should have a say on what our characters do/say in Trifecta. Maybe we could suggest what we do next, like what Hussie did up until Act 4?
THE PROPHECY SEEMED FAR AWAY
BUT FINALLY WE'VE REACHED THE DAY
GIVE UP THE PAST, EMBRACE THE STRANGE
EVERYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT WILL CHANGE
When both sides are doomed, which do you choose?
DOWN HERE IT'S KILL OR BE KILLED
I can do dialogue for myself, Purple, TECHPIECE, and maybe a few random personnel.

If anything major happens outside the main plot, I'd certainly like a say in what I do.
