...I really hate this editor. You can only use fonts if you set both a font and a color before beginning to type, and when you post the color is gone. If you edit the post, fonts break. Colors, as far as I can tell, just don't work.
I honestly don't understand how they keep making this worse.
I mean, I guess you can do BBcode stuffs to partially fix it, but c'mon.
I have no idea what's going wrong for you guys. I just either do the entire thing in the first post (formatting included) or just redo all the formatting when I edit.
I'm using chrome though, and I don't deny that you guys are probably having trouble...
Curse just sucks.
As to the mythology thing...
I was about to refute that... but then I realized that you're absolutely right. A lot of western mythology IS pretty monotonous. They do have a few interesting things from time to time, and all the variations really do seem to be in the minutiae.
I realized that what I was about to use as my evidence was not the myths themselves, but rather what people have done with them, and really Western European mythology doesn't have any more of corner on that market than any of the other kinds do. The only difference is that different things get done with the different main mythologies. Norse and Greco-Roman mythologies get separated out a bit in modern adaptations, and most of the others get forgotten.
Personally, I don't really like the western European myths anyways. 'Good' always wins, but the good guys are always the gods, who most of the time aren't a whole lot better than the 'villains'. Its barely even grey and grey morality, its basically dark grey and black morality.

I've not had THAT problem. But I haven't been using colors recently.

Hey Talist, is it possible for multiple checks to be inflicted on a single person in an array event?
What exactly do you mean? Do you mean one player is involved in a mashup event and it throws one strength check, one dex check, and one int check at them and it takes a different path depending on which ones they pass? Currently, no. However, I might be able to trick my code into working for that if I send it the same tribute multiple times for the checks. I would need some kind of formatting to tell it when it should do that though.

The current multi-check event syntax, with brackets/parentheses around? Like {+-} {other tribute} {other tribute} {etc.} Output here. {buffs/debuffs} {etc.} {etc.} {etc.}
I doubt anyone's going to have multiple single-person conditionals like that but it is probably good to overcode in that case and have a single example so you can prove it works.

I wonder if it's supposed to be dark grey and black or if when a lot of this mythology was made (medieval times) that morality was seen as normal and good.
I think its the last one, even though supposedly there was a set of ethics, you didn't have to follow it so long as you were the designated good guys. That's still a thing in a lot of western media today.
You're determined to always have the best course of action be beating the closest thing into submission? Yeah, no. You will listen to the GM, for rules are rules. As GM, my power will be absolute! I WILL HAVE EVERYTHING UNDER MY CONTROL! I WILL RULE WITH AN IRON FIST! YOU WILL PLAY NICE OR INVOKE THE WRATH OF A MILLION DYING SUNS UPON YOUR FRAGILE MORTAL SOUL! I SHALL BEND ALL WHO DO NOT ENCOURAGE PEACE AND ACCEPTANCE TO MY WILL AND BURN THE NONBELIEVERS SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY TO ASHES! THE WAY OF EMPATHY WILL RULE OVER EVERYTHING!
Uh... don't know what came over me... I... uh... did I mention how I'm going to cut taxes? Yeah, no new taxes! No new taxes! Focus on that, not whatever I just said.

What about all the good things war has done for us? Jobs, technology, a common purpose... Goddamn it I forgot the rest of what Sundowner said. Look, what I'm saying is... GIVE WAR A CHANCE!
Considering the game itself, and that the Godmodder has some extremely unparalleled ability to Mind Control, it is safe to say that, for once, Violence really is the only option in dealing with him and his entities, so the empathy thing kind of falls flat (or at least, not killing them is no option). Considering who we're fighting, he'd probably force us to kill the entities, on pain of death.
At least, that's how I interpret what he would do in that case,to a degree. After all, hate at the Godmodder is explicitly the Godmodder's goal. Forcing (IE) Wilson to violate his beliefs to save others would either break him or generate the hate. Either way, victory! (And yes, I do think he would do that at every opportunity that wouldn't screw him over.)
Then again, I may just be a dingus and you have some crazy idea we'll all fall in love with.
I mean, varying gameplay and changing it up so you're not always beating things up works for me. But let's be real here. Destroying things is, quite literally, the name of the game.

There's a difference between a hero and a champion. A champion overcomes threats, but a hero overcomes fears.

Well, not really. But I hope there will be times when, shockingly, the best course of action is to NOT beat the closest thing into submission.

We did.
And then we wrecked a good part of the multiverse.
And may I remind you that that was just over a single Minecraft server?
I agree with talist, it sort of bugs me that the best course of action turns out to be beating things to death more often than not.
