With all this replying, I'm already feeling like Twin. Well, how I imagine he feels. ALSO! New avatar! Because everyone tracks my avatar carefully. Although with this, I animated it myself and I feel so proud because it worked better than the last time I tried that.
The story, you were very thorough in fleshing out Wilson's character there and had lots of interesting things, so I wish I'd participated. Midnight blue. Why did everyone else steal my favorite color!?!?!
Somewhat, I'm not good at analyzing people, but he seems like a good person.
I've been following his story off and on because of time limitations in how much I can read in the thread since you first created him during Scratch's Manor. If I'm not mistaken that's what gave me the idea to try and interfere in Godcraft using Dimentio. The entire thing has been really interesting, Wilson is the only character so far that was both created for the explicit purpose of roleplay, and successful in that role.
I think that the story you're weaving with Wilson is great. I think we could stand to have a little more variety in our character arcs, and what you've done with Wilson has actually influenced what I decided to do with Eric, not an active choice, but it's been floating there in my mind, and sort of pushed me in the direction of making Eric not only begin out less raw power than everyone else, but stay that way.
I am slightly delusional and also really kinda wish I could meet you guys in real life for some reason. I am also too friendly for my own good.
I actually kind of feel like the story was tacked on. I suppose I did some clever things with it. But, I'm putting a lot more thought into Willow's story which is going to fill in the plot hole Wilson has. Although, I doubt many people actually have noticed the hole. I didn't for a quite while. If you want to know what I'm talking about, consider the timing. Wilso- er, Laiko technically was born about 3 months or so before the end of DTG1. Then, he had to flee his home around the same time I left DTG1 and just **magically** ended up in DTG2 a year later. How did he get there? And what was he doing for the whole year? And don't worry. Its hard to steal an entire color.
Well, he wasn't made during Scratch's manor, but him as a character was. The first time I mentioned him was... lets see... Apr 15, 2014 in a private message to Aegis (remember him?). He was actually going to be called Wilbert, the Alchemist's Familiar at first. Sheesh. I'm glad I changed that. And thanks. Scratch's manor wasn't just the first time I did RP with Wilson, but actually the first time I ever did a forum RP. Luckily, it worked out well. Very well in fact.
A mortal is such a nice change...
Oh, well if you say that... wanta meet in the park sometime? Preferably when there are a lot of people around so its crowded, chaotic and nobody would notice if someone went missing. Eh... never mind...
1. I wished I joined the sidequest, honestly. It seemed fun. And for colours, Grey and Green. Like a dark-ish green.
2. Yeah, Wilson seems pretty clear in my head. (Fun Fact: I thought he was Wilson from Don't Starve for awhile.)
3. I started following Wilson's story around the time of the sidequest.
4. I enjoy that he has flaws; it makes him unique.
5. 1.2 seconds / Totally My Name / 9001 / 1234 5678 9012 3456 / 4
And now the guilt of not joining will haunt you FOREVER. Also... Colours... with a u... huh... so you're not from MURICA, I see... just like Fseftr... very interesting... Do you swear on the centre of your honour that your favorite colour is green? Or do you swear on the center of your honor that your favorite color is green?
So I'm not being too vague... And he is named after Wilson from Don't Starve, but isn't him. (And also named after Puddn' Head Wilson by Mark Twain... and a passing mention by a certain Youtuber named Daniel... and the poor Mr. Wilson from the Great Gatsby, but that last one is a coincidence.)
Alright then. I don't... really have any funny one liners... sorry...
So you don't think its excessive?
Gee. Why won't anyone tell me their real social security number? That's what's wrong with society these days. No trust. Humph.

That guilt will haunt you forever... unless you sift through all the posts to find them... MUA HA HA!!! or, you can look at my posts from around December.
Well, you shouldn't know who Willow is. I haven't described her except that she's the champion of the night and what not. And occasionally leaving hints in the simulations. I'll explain who Laiko is if you want though.
Seems a lot of people read all those posts... sniff... how nice... ego +10...
Wilson's specific flaws come up a lot in this war torn land. And to be honest... I don't really know much about your characters. I know a little about Raven. She's a... raven... kinda... and forces others to obey Homestucky things. Or something. I don't know what "Horror Terrors" and "Paradox Space" and all that is, and I don't really have any interest in finding out. Not from the source anyway. All this Homestuck stuff in DTG has actually DECREASED any desire I had to read it.
Hey Talist, I've been coming up with ideas for the finale of DTG 3 (to make it suitable epic) that'll tie in with Piono's DTG:MSPA. If you become the GM of DTG 3, would it be okay if I told them to you? Anyway, I have a bunch of complex entities planned for DTG 3 (because I like meaningfull complexity), so I'm okay on that front.
It might be a little earily to be planning end of the game stuff. Although me saying that makes me a bit of a hypocrite, because I'm planning some late game Willow stuff. Also, what's MSPA? You're free to PM me if you want to plan stuff with me and don't mind any possible spoilers.
Gutza...Perahps I should drop the bomb on this one and remind you that Talist would prefer as much ignorance to anything MSPA as possible.
Wait... MSPA is Microsoft Paint Adventures? I honestly did not know when I first read Gutza's post. But, if I need to for plot's sake, I will soldier through references. And it seems something called "Discworld" is the new hot reference. But I'd hate for any one media to get so much hold in DTG. Apart from Minecraft, of course. I don't like to reference the same media too much. Not majorly anyway. And I like that because it makes the game wider and I get to reference stuff like Kerbal Space Program, Darkest Dungeon, Don't Starve, Kid Icorious Uprising, Skyrim, Epic Battle Fantasy 3, Order of the Stick, WOW, Hearthstone, and all those others.
If anyone wants to PM about whatever plans/suggestions they have, feel free. If you want, I can even be convinced to collaborate for Willow's story. Although most of it is between Wilson and Willow and doesn't reference anything but famous literature (Go on Wilson, tell her! Tell her you never trusted her and we can wipe all this out!) and past DTG events, there's room for change. If those changes actually fit, of course and you don't mind spoilers.
.

if you can tell what that quote is from, then you deserve the knowledge and you get to giggle at people because you already know more about Willow than anyone else just from that one quote. Provided you extrapolate, of course.
Actually, I'm going to explain Laiko in a different post.
Also, Discworld is the best world ever written into existence.
If you have not read it, get The Colo(u)r of Magic and keep going.
Yes, I do think that having summon items (and a reasonable way to produce them) is a thing.
Maybe a global pool, with any entity summon requiring consent of two other same-faction members? Or faction-specific materials pools.

Now, for Serpant and an indeterminate number of people to come months or even years from now, I'll explain exactly what I had envisioned about Laiko and the symbolism behind him.
The facts: Wilson was born with the name of Laiko. He referenced himself as Laiko right up until he fled his home due to the rouge Terror Spider. Crushed by the guilt of what he had done (he had, after all, been the one to throw the potion that burned down the building), he threw off the name of Laiko to distance himself from his crimes and took up the name of Wilson. It was the first thing he thought of because the researchers of his old home referred to him as that, as a reference to Puddn' Head Wilson and a couple other sources. He kept calling himself Wilson, trying to forget his old home. I usually reference him as Wilson. However, when I reference him as Laiko its because he's exhibiting certain character traits that represent his old self, such as playfulness. So Laiko isn't a split personality. Its just a different part of one whole personality which is exhibited to different degrees. After fighting his own guilt, Wilson started to accept being called Laiko again. He still calls himself Wilson most of the time due to habit. Inari (gold text, never appears to anyone but Wilson) knew him since his birth, so she always refers to him as Laiko.
The symbolism: As much as Wilson wants to forget it at some times, the aspects that make him Laiko will always be with him. His acceptance in being called Laiko represents how he's made peace with his past. He's also accepted that he is not just Wilson, the protector, but also Laiko, the trickster. Not the Homestuck kind though. Laiko represents who he was, and Wilson represents who he became. But both are important. Laiko uses the skills he has naturally, being a Kitsune, his playfulness, his intrepid curiosity, etc. Wilson uses the skills he learned, the Grid, his potions, his knowledge, etc. As his "true self", he's not really Wilson or Laiko. He's a combination of both, as evidenced by what happens when he fully gives in to one side. He can become either Ascendant Wilson or Ascendant Laiko, the paragon of what those parts of his personality represent, but he loses his humanity. Or, foxanity.
Talist, how can you not spell Icarus, doubly so when Pit himself is part of the playerbase? Or was this intentional and you actually had no idea it was spelled Icarus?

I have the game cartridge, but didn't feel like finding it... so I just said screw it. Might as well annoy Pit.
FUN FACT: MSPA is both the first letters of "MSPAINTADVENTURES" and the abbreviated form of that.
Trippy.

This is starting to really creep me out. If I could define these teasers in one phrase, it would be "over the top". They're really disturbing, but I worry about how these will translate to the actual game. Anyway, hidden message time: there are three here. If you brighten the image, you can see "OUT OF ORDER" in the background and "NIGHTMARE" between Foxy's teeth. But if you darken the image, you can see "87" in Foxy's left eye.
Calling it: next teaser is either Golden Freddy, the Puppet, or one of the dead children.
