Hey wait a second...
Teag, if we switch accessories (or if I get the same accessory from the Character Creation menu, either works), I can start to break the game with LOTS of HP regen. If you want. (Current setup would provide: 6HP/turn) If you think that's not substantial, consider other forms of healing, like the heal spell, on top of it. And thanks to my poison immunity, I won't lose that regen! Sheesh, now all I need is an armor with HP up and HP regen and I'm golden! (God this will seem so broken if I complete my set of regen items) If this x2 regen thing also applies to out-of-battle area regen... yeah, you see where this is going. A regen HP tank A Tanky Wolverine, if you will. I didn't think much of that new ability at first, but DAYUM! Perhaps something like... EITHER Potions of Regen && Metal Plating OR Regen Aura && Metal Plating ...might give something worthwhile. I'll only make the first when/if we [can] have more than one "potions of regen" accessory. @piono I prefer to spare over mindlessly killing anyway, so I'm all for letting more NPCs on board. Nevertheless, I stay where I am and guard. If possible, and if he wants to, I swap accessories with Teag. Or I just get the Regen Potion accessory from the Character Creation menu, if possible (more preferred). If I can't do the preferred route, here's why Teag might enjoy this tradeoff: The finale amulet was nice, but I don't enjoy low health romps. Especially not with The Web in tow. I gain more by using the regen of the potions of regen, with double regen and no chance to lose that regen. Unlike me, Teag can make more use of the Finale Amulet than the Regen Pots with his greater retreat and movement values, allowing him to poke foes more effectively at low health. I'd say it's a win/win. But I respect your choice either way. If you say no, I'll wait until this battle's over, use the respec I gain, and get the accessory for myself as well. ---- So... we're going from the generalized HP Tank to the HP-Tanky Wolverine. Am I close to breaking the game yet? Har. Originally posted on 2016-01-15 04:47:00 -------------------- "...I will aid them. No matter the cost to myself."

((also, Lucky Rabbit's Foot has been...useless...for the entire game because nobody's gotten that down on HP and had it equipped to be useful. just now in the glitch temmie fight do i think it will activate and we're halfway through the game. this is my totally subtle approach to tell ire to buff it. is it working?)) I move to D8, punt the enemy that's at C9 into death so that I can move, and end up at C7. JOHN CENA moves to I4, crushing the enemy that's at J3 with a powerful suplex. Alrighty then. G. temmie's tactical advantage while the freaking crate lives is incredible, and given tem's now Prone, well, let's just focus-fire on that, though we also have to get rid of those clones. Wow, the Dual Pistols or some-such would be awfully useful right now...So, here's the plan: After I get Sapsplash again, I'm going to bomb the crate again (as Glitch Temmie said, the Rocket Launcher is basically invincible, but the crate moving it is, as I suspected)-after that, just DPS it down, and we evaporate a major headache in the fight and turn it a lot less frantic. In any case, Pit, please tap the Glitch Temmie Clone 1 for me, will 'ya?
In any case, time for some impromptu tanking while I have 4 AC and a half-chance to negate damage via evasion. I slip to E7, then send a quick attack at Glitch Temmie Clone 3 (proccing Thieve's dagger somehow), then step back to G6, hoping that SOMEONE will kill Glitch Temmie Clone 1. The 2nd clone's more likely to deal with the Mistake due to proximity. I slip on the MP Orb while I'm at it. It's not really important, but it could help. Oh, yeah: I think Ire said that Regen doesn't count for sources of healing, for some reason. Probably balance reasons. So there goes that idea...I think. "Yo, Glitch Temmie, uh, that crazy purple dude back there doesn't look too happy at...Any of us, really? Especially not you, though. Might just be because you're the beefiest-looking thing and a lot closer than we are, plus, I think I know who sent that and they're highly doubtful to be intentionally harming people who dislike ©haos, if I'm getting my odds right, or at least will prioritize Pro-©haos over Anti-©haos, soooooooooooooooooooo...Might wanna deal with that guy before he starts rampagin' at ya? Uh, just a thought, because really, I think he might just be after all of us in the end." Originally posted on 2016-01-15 17:28:00 |

So I found something in the new rules: A manual! It appears we've found out how ©haos reverts back to Ire and how we MIIIIIGHT be able to stop him, among other things. Given code is literally his brain, we just have to figure out what corresponds to Sleuthinhibitor.exe and reactivate it-those MIGHT be the Morality Cores, mind, so we're gonna need a rez spell that's up the wazoo in potential. This will keep him somewhat less homicidal, at the very least, though I bet, just like Demolition Man, this just means he'll get Zetta to do his dirty work and kill off undesirables...If he's clever about it, or it doesn't work like I think it does. But eh, who knows? Originally posted on 2016-01-15 21:59:00 |

Ire, what is your opinion on...
Dice on a String 6-9 Damage (3 Range, 1 Retreat) RANGED Weapon Passive: RNG - STR increases the upper value by 1 per bonus point. (i.e. 2 STR = 6-10 DMG; 5 STR = 6-13 DMG) Originally posted on 2016-01-16 01:15:00 |

Okay, for the potential add-ons:
I like the elemental types, that's always fun in an RPG. The SPC stat, would it be like a limit break type of thing? Doing stuff increases the special gauge and getting it high enough allows you to expend some or all of it to do something? For elevation, (which I also like), you could have a thing where moving between elevations would be more difficult (like it would count as difficult terrain unless it's like a ramp or something), and the range increase would be dependent on three types of weapons: lobbing weapons (the type of thing that can fire over cover) would be unaffected by elevation, direct-fire weapons would lose 1 range (or gain it) if the height difference is 3 or greater (but also can't fire if the ledge gets in the way, say they're standing right next to a 5 height elevation, they can only hit the person on that first square, anyone away from the ledge is out of range) and arc weapons, that lose/gain 1 range for every 2 elevation difference between the two, but can hit up the ledges just fine (which straight-fire weapons can't) The lobbing weapons would be things like catapults or mortars, straight fires would be things like lasers and guns, and arcing weapons would be things like slingshots and bows. But to be honest, I don't really want the EXP system, I kind of like what we have here without having to complicate things with basic EXP (although scripted 'level ups' at the end of each zone would be nice to give us a health and mana boost) and especially without having to decide which modifiers to throw into the fight. Anyways, that's what I think of the ideas. The sequel will probably be pretty interesting if this one is anything to go by. @Toast: Pricey's Guardian didn't have enough range to reach you. And Hearthstone-level RNG weapons could be fun; I might make more things like that. And as for going away, I'll let you grant control to Tazz. If he doesn't accept it, I'll probably just afk-inate you.
@Talist: I GRABBED YOUR POST DON'T WORRY @Darkside: You're pretty invincible. Unless you get @Everyone: Thanks for the feedback on the potential add-ons. A few notes: SPC (not Shark Punching Club) is a limit-break type maneuver, in the style of... every game ever. Some specials (if you want to create them that way) could potentially have modded uses: like you can expend X special and deal X/4 damage. Things like that. =TURN SEVENTY-TWO= Numbersoup joins the Temmie Fight, while Tazz equips the MP Orb. I then also realize that I broke Tazz's stats, and drop him to 19 MHP. I do grant him a full heal for now, though. Darkside pulls the Potions of Regen from subspace, causing Darkside to become the Dark God of HP Regen. Really, it seems like you have PILES of basic gear, just sitting behind you at all times. Chaos then responds to Piono. cc: of ©ourse i'm lis(t)ening cc: as (t)he lo©al "bbeg", i kinda need (t)o cc: i a©(t)ually made (t)he (t)emmies s(t)ar(t) on (t)he ro©ke(t) laun©her (t)he momen(t) i dis©overed that he was s(t)ill... alive. cc: god knows wha(t) simply seeing him would do (t)o my head; (t)hyme's weird m8. aw jeez that's a lot of alchemy. let's do dis First up, INSERT! That's 3 separate combos; should be fun. And it's mostly equipment, too; weapons take much longer to write. Did we mention that he fixed the Robotic Arm with 3 wires? No? Well, he did that. ALCHEMITER: Repaired Robotic Arm && Knives (x3) = Infinite Knife Arm (lvl 2) (Cost: 25 Grist) Spoiler Alert ALCHEMITER: (Blue Sap Jar) && True Mage Robes = Regenerative Robes (lvl 3) (Cost: 20 Grist) Spoiler Alert ALCHEMITER: True Mage Robes && Regen Aura = Regenerating Robes (lvl 2) (Cost: 15 Grist) Spoiler Alert (if anyone wants to know about Infinity Knives, then...) Darkside then only tests one of those combos, because he said "either". I then random.org up Option 2, so... ALCHEMITER: Regen Aura && Metal Plating = Radiant Armor (lvl 2) (Cost: 20 Grist) Spoiler Alert [small](it'd be terrifying if Darkside built TRUE TANK and took Shield + Bait / Taunt.)[/small] Hearthstone drama is serious business. The things you learn on your breaks... =BATTLE: THE FOE RUSH ZONE ONE, TURN TWELVE= Gladius's summoned Zombie promptly mauls the Origin Spider. It shudders backwards, and given how anti-climatic that boss fight was, it simply pops in a cartoon-style. ga: ...holy gorilla. You guys fight these things on a regular basis, don't you? ga: I can't even imagine how you guys would fight beasts like this day after day. ga: Unless the GM always makes them this weak. Seriously. ga: It certanily was interesting, though... Gladius promptly walks back to the Hangar, while the rest of you loot sick loot. You find 3 Gold, the Origin String, 9 Turns, but most importantly... ALL PLAYERS HAVE OBTAINED 2 SKILL POINTS. =BATTLE: THE TEMMIE WORKSHIP, TURN TWO= Things are heating up; the Failure has teleported to this fight, and the Mistake has obtained a target! Temmie failed tem's murder of Toast, so tem's kinda sad right now. The crate was able to inch closer to it's destination this turn, too! ga: ... ga: Hey, I SHOULD be able to get the ship in working order now! ga: Just come and talk to me; I'll help you design the ship and it's weaponry. Just be sure you have all the schematics you feel that you need. Originally posted on 2016-01-16 02:16:00 -------------------- |

Uh oh. WAIT! Gotta get my action in ASAP...
Willow moves to J8 and uses Dragon's Breath (burst) on square F12. Hopefully that will kill a bunch of things and deal 19 damage to the Origin Spider. G. Endo 1 moves to E4 and beats up the hatching there. G. Endo 4 kills the egg at its location. Wilson moves to L10 and bops the egg if that's alive. Otherwise, he double foxfires the Origin Spider. The add-ons:
I'm down for elemental types. But how will you implement it? Will it be like Pokemon, with supereffective/ineffective moves dealing damage with a fixed multiplier? The upside to this is that it's simpler than the latter format, in case you don't want anything too complex. Or will it be percent- or value-based, like in the Epic Battle Fantasy/other RPGs? Doing something like this opens up whole new REALMS of possibility with this, such as adding percent/value-based elemental strengths and weaknesses to armor. I think the SPC stat needs a bit more clarification, but I think how piono put it (limit break type of deal) sounds like it'll be interesting. I've actually had the elevation system in mind for a while now. Piono explained it best I believe. EXP systems are kinda... meh. Just meh. I honestly like the current system more. With the modifications Piono suggeted, I think the current system would be great. Also an EXP system might encourage grinding, which I don't really like. And it would conflict with things like the Zetta clock if grinding was the case. AKA, I'm with Piono on this one. Though a risk/reward system sounds nice. Perhaps offer up another skill point (or even stat orbs, [more] gold, build grist, or unique materials for the alchemiter) or two to make the foes use better tactics, as well as all the other stuff you listed (HP/DMG/Dodge/etc. up, punishing deaths, etc). See? The system doesn't have to work with the EXP system; it can work with the current system as well. The sequel... sidequest... thing sounds like it would make for an interesting experience. Perhaps even better than the current game. In fact, with what we have currently, we could implement all of these ideas right now if we so wished (and given the time to develop and balance these mechanics). Except the EXP system, which, currently, not a lot of us admit to liking. As for now: I need a lot of HP regen. Basically to become Wolverine with stupid fast healing every turn. Come to think of it, there's no spell that helps provide some HP/MP regen for a set amount of turns. I'm not surprised, though, as there's healing, guarding, meditating and all that. ... Alright, I admit it, I think at this point I'm just trying to make myself near-invincible... @Ire *coughcough*poisonimmunitybecausesapsoakedhelmet*coughcough* ------ ...Here and gone in two turns... we really are something, aren't we? Now, if you don't mind... Originally posted on 2016-01-16 02:28:00 -------------------- "...I will aid them. No matter the cost to myself."

I try the combination Flumpty left us (well, check it out) of origin string + green sap orb + temmie flake + 40 build grist.
Let's see what Flumpty gave us. It'd better not be jam, spam, ham, or any food item ending in -am. Aaron (whoops, name spoiler) look around. "Well, er... that was fun. Jeez, this feels way too much like a video game." He looks at gladius. "Thanks for the help, I'm going to look around and make sure everything's looked after, I think they need your help with the temmies." I do these things in order: my queue. I go to the cavern mouth and collect the empty patch of grass. I move to the Great Tree and collect the 3 sap orbs (in orb form, not sap form.) I move to The Edge, waving hello to the inferno arachnid on my way past. Once at the Edge, I look out over everything, looking if I can see anything out over the edge of the island, and if there is, in fact, nothing left here. I go down to the Creek and look at the spun plans, and convince TOFS to join me as I continue going about things, examining things, potentially stealing them. I use the notification of the fact that the mindscape is destabilizing (seriously. Me and engie have destroyed one zone each, and Zetta completely blocked one off) to help me. If possible, I offer it the spider token (unless it doesn't give spiders that use it a special bonus of some kind, which it totally should be the way) as well to help boost its stats so that it doesn't die while with me. I also pay my respects to the spider matriarch. I ALSO pull out several empty water bottles, then fill them up with water. I move to Outside the Shack, kneel down in front of the small grave, and place the plate of spaghetti in front of it. "I know that giving you something that you sort of made yourself in a strange, multi-personality split-consciousness timeline thing kind of way is kind of pointless, but, you know. This is confusing, and to be honest, I sort of regret wrecking all of your stuff, even if you can't use it anymore anyways. Good luck in whatever kind of afterlife broken memories get." I use the portal to get back to Memoir Caves Even if I was able to do all of that in one round, my turn should probably end there. EDIT: I had another idea for a recipe that I want to check: Grenade Launcher AND Auto-loader. Engie, if this works, you owe me one.
