There was some talk a little while back about what to do if/when discord gets to the point of being unusable and a small list of potential alternatives to look into should that become necessary was come up with, which I am now porting here for ease of access into the future.

Main potential alternatives:
FramaTeam (it's French but by a major Open Source proponent company, not all translating is done at present)
Guilded (one of the major discord competitors. Not preferred because they're likely to do the same thing discord has been over time)
Matrix (Urus says this one is promising)
Slack (supposedly decent)

Possible Intermediaries for while organizing a platform jump on the off chance Discord goes down catastrophically
The DTG Forums (these do exist even if we almost never use them)
SB Forums
Steam chat (unideal for various reasons. Not good except as a last resort)

Welcome to

Destroy the Simumodder 2.0: Pocket Edition

Whew that's a mouthful.

Welcome to the spiritual sequel to Testrun. This one will be a bit bigger and more involved, but still not a full sized session. Hopefully there will be enjoyment to be had.

Story:
Once day, you were playing your personal preferred brand of lame mobile game, whether that be cookie clicker, flappy bird, clash of clans, or whatever, when an ad popped up. A small man in a cape climbed out of the ad, and before you could do anything, clicked into the appstore and downloaded the game of his own app onto your phone.
"If you want to uninstall this game, you'll have to beat me first. See you there!"
And then he was gone.

While you haven't been able to see if its actually doing anything bad the icon for it is just sitting there on your home screen, taunting you. True to the little man's words, you can seem to delete the app, so finally you give up and open the darn thing to give beating him a try...

...what the heck this is just minecraft. No, wait, there's a boss bar. "The Simumodder", huh? Time to give him a trouncing and reclaim that space on your phone!

Rules: (warning, this may get updated occasionally)
0. What the GM says, goes. I will take advice and whatnot but arguing with me or demanding I change things for you is a good way to lose respect and even your place in the game should you become a consistent problem.

1. The standard, you can use whatever attacks against the Godmodder you can think of, but don't expect them to work.

2. Every turn you get 3 actions to spend on whatever you want. These can be focused together for greater power, or saved up in the form of charge points.
2a: No double posting. You can make nullposts but no doubleposting. There has to be space between your posts, otherwise you should just edit it into your older post.

3. The Godmodder, despite being weaker than normal, is still only going to take one damage per hit. Do your best, but don't expect attacks to work multiple times!

4. No helping the Godmodder. PG is not a viable faction this game.

5: No sign-ups of any kind required, and newbies always welcome! Feel free to just skip right to the most recent post and start doing stuff. Alternatively, if you need help understanding what's going on, a recap of recent events can be given at any time.

6: Don't try to shoulder the entire army's burden on your shoulders! Generally it's best to pick one objective and stick with it. There'll be an itinerary to help with selecting goals to work on.

7. Have fun! If you're not having fun, then why are you here?

Entity Mechanics

Entities that are summoned with just an action (even a focused action) will have wildly variable stats but are at much greater risk of being mind controlled than CP summoned entities.

CP summoned entities have hard stats.
For every CP point invested, the entity will have health and attack based on one of the following 'builds' and then can be customized from there to roughly equivalent power level.
Meatshield: 7,500 HP, no ATK
Defender: 5,000 HP, 250 ATK
Standard: 2,500 HP, 500 ATK
Glass Cannon: 1,250 HP. 1,000 ATK

Standard and frequently used mechanics will be elaborated on in here as they are needed.

Misc Mechanics

Game Over Conditions: When all AG entities are incapacitated or dead, players may be targeted to deal them damage. They have five damage stages:
Slightly Injured > Moderately Injured > Seriously Injured > Critically Wounded > Mortally Wounded.
If you are killed all the way, you must spend all 3 of your actions next time you post respawning. For two rounds after that you are afflicted with Respawn Sickness for two rounds, which reduces your action count to 2.

If ALL players in the player list are either respawning or suffering from respawn sickness, the Game Over condition is reached. If that happens... well, we'll see.

And with that... we begin.

DTG: Testrun

Welcome to a test session of DTG. After the abrupt and rather dismal end of Goofmodder, I've decided to run a testing session to see if I can run a DTG session at all right now and it was just lack of personal interest in the idea that killed it, or just flat out me not being up to it at the moment.

In this game you will be trying to kill a lower health godmodder than usual. To this end, use any attacks you want.

Rules: (warning, this may get updated occasionally)

With all of that said...

This is mostly just to link and keep some folks updated if they're interested in a new hodgepodge!DTG thing I'm doing. Beyond The Mind's Eye is similar in style to twin's old Don't Hug Me I'm Scared bit for Probect Pinary. I dunno if I'll ever go beyond what I have just now, or if it'll properly coalesce into something with a narrative between episodes, but for now, have the first episode:

Welcome to Statstick Arena! Where a handful of specially chosen entities get thrown at each other in the hopes that something interesting happens while they all die.

This is more in line with spacebattles quests than traditional DTG games, you won't be summoning or directly controlling the entities yourselves, instead you'll occasionally be using actions as you so choose.

Another gimmick is that there's no win or lose conditions for you guys. You're just in the audience watching the entities below duke it out. You can set goals for yourselves, trying to get specific entities to win or whatnot, but you can't die or lose in any way. The round doesn't end until one entity (or team) is left standing.

These aren't just gonna be numbers and whatnot. In fact, I'm not actually gonna list the exact damage values in the updates at all! While healthbars and such will be listed in the 'end of round statuses' the actual battles themselves will deal much more with cool flavor text and whatnot.

Another note:
Entities will not all be released at once. To give weaker entities a chance to beat the crap out of each other without getting annihilated by things ten times their size, all summons will be summoned in waves based on absolute power level.
Additionally, this isn't super important as a whole, but these fights are canonically sorta like smash bros. Nobody's really here against their will, and the only penalty for losing is not getting the prize at the end of the 'tournament'. This includes full heals, mental deconditioning, reivival, and whatever else is needed to make the damage inside of the arena from translating to back outside of it.

Unlocked Audience Powers:
Suggestion: Give an entity an order. If it goes directly against their nature or interests (or they have a passive that makes them less likely to follow commands) they might ignore or deny it, but you may do as you please with the order. Cost: 1
Liquid Badbutt: greatly increases an entity's chance to deal extra damage through flavor text shenanigans this round. Cost: 2
Divine Shield: greatly increases an entity's chance to take less damage through flavor text shenanigans this round. Cost: 2
Idiot Ball: greatly increases an entity's chance of having their actions mitigated through flavor text shenanigans this round. Cost: 2
Disaster Juice: greatly increases an entity's chance to take more damage through flavor text shenanigans this round. Cost: 2
Perception Filter: No entities that aren't already focused on this entity will target it this round. Cost: 2
Back Targets: Any entity that doesn't have incentive to attack something else will target this entity this round. Cost: 4
Illegal Charge Steroids: Increases the power of the targeted entity by one tier of charge power. Cannot be used to increase an entity's power beyond that of the current Wave. Cost: X+1 (X = number of times that entity has received charge steroids before)
Camera Filter: The selected entity will have the point of view focus on their thoughts at least once this round. Cost: 0. Only usable twice per round.
Victory Decision: If multiple entities team up, and defeat all other entities that aren't teamed up with them, you, the audience, will be asked whether to let them take the victory as a team or to forcibly break their alliance and make them acutally claim the victory for themselves. Cost: 0

If you have ideas for powers that aren't here, feel free to pitch them to me.
