Paige Begins to Battle

Eroa stuffs the Patche into the Corpse Inventory before using Abduction again, this time on the mystery Iti at P14, moving it to L10. She continues to hold her ground.

The Past

Debbie gives Auth a confused look, but figures that he just needs a memory jog.

DEBBIE: I recall you assisted in the removal of the Malice Crystal, along with Echoss and someone named Ette? A-at least, that's what the report laid out...

She nods along at Auth's other musings. But soon enough, it's time to part ways.

DEBBIE: Okay. I-it was nice to finally meet you as well.
DEBBIE: Take care out there.

And now, we return to the present.

Outlands

Sakura continues to be a rude. Debbie was having none of it. She made up her mind a good while ago, overhearing many of the conversations Sakura was a part of. Debbie rolls her eyes, yet her calmness remains. This can't go well for the fallen royal.

DEBBIE: Awful lot of bark for someone who doesn't even try to be the "princess" she claims to be.
DEBBIE: All I see is a vain, greedy brute. Always with murder and insults on the mind as the foremost response to anything even remotely inconvenient.
DEBBIE: You would crumple into a pile of wood chips upon facing the simplest of royal duties, let alone ruling a kingdom.

DEBBIE: That, I can tell.

Debbie waits, expecting a childish retort.

TURN ORDER: ILEX > CHI > EROA > SAKURA > KALIS > BASIL > SKAIGE

Chi moves to (J10), applies one of Chi's Salves to Eroa, uses Healer's Touch, Basic Attacks Eroa, retreats to (I11).

(Eris is in hospital, posting with permission) Basil Bonus Action Scans ??? 2. She moves to (H10) and Nanostorms on (L11).

Debbie picks a Cinderfruit, gives it to Bass via Instant Fluidsand Wormhole Thing, zooms to (J10) and fires Nature Power - Booster Laser NorthWest. It turns North at (F6). Debbie "retreats" to (L8).

...Once everyone else does their thing, a humongous rock spire erupts from (N11) covered in Fluidsand, other jagged rocks erupting along its edges as well. Joining the spire and rocks, the ground nearby forms several cracks from the sheer impact of the spire breaking through the ground. Snow is jettisoned out of the way with ease. At least, on the rocks and the spire.

If the spire and rock didn't affect those within range of the impact much, the debris flung from the spire definitely did.

Doc stirs from unconsciousness as Pardon revives him.

Doc: ...Hm!?
Doc: ...Oh, pardon me. I must have dozed off after that blow.
Doc: How much time has passed since I was out?

Doc looks down at his hands, which are still covered in the "overzealous soap."

Doc: Looks like it hasn't been too long. Good.

Doc moves to L13 and slaps the Fell Behemoth with the back of his hand. The soap comes off, sticking to the Behemoth.

Doc: The time has come for you to rest, mighty creature.
Doc: I only hope your death will put me one step closer to finding a cure.

Doc pulls a small potion bottle from his belt and uncaps it. A thick, chrome-like tar spills out onto K14, bubbling across the entire area. Doc then pulls out a match and, lighting it on his clean glove, drops it into the tar. The tar, rather than lighting up, begins bubbling furiously as it expands into a shiny foam.

Doc: This material is highly corrosive.
Doc: However, due to selective material manipulation, it is completely harmless to human skin and, thanks to some quick manipulations on my part, most other forms of epidermis.
Doc: Completely harmless to all members of the party, at least of those currently present.
Doc: However, it is entirely effective against the flesh of Fell Beasts.

Ilex moves to H4, and casts guiding hand to move the Fell Beast to O11. I'll leave turn order up to other people for now.

Auth shrugs about the prospect of Fluidsand. He'd be the last person to claim to be anything resembling an expert on the matter. As for Adria... his memory is so strong that he's conflicted on whether it's a good thing. But he can't really remember anything he might have said to Adria particularly. He has a fairly clear image of her in his head.

AUTH: Well, I'm glad to know that I was of such help to Adria. Though, if I am to be totally honest with you, I can't really connect what it was I might've done for that.
AUTH: I'm sure it would be quite obvious in hindsight but I don't quite recall.

Auth sighs. The first thing Debbie said does answer quite a few questions.

AUTH: I feel like I shouldn't be as shocked as I am by that. Maybe that's why we've been having an uptick in visitors recently.
AUTH: Still, I'm surprised that anyone really took much notice of me. What with all the big names and faces... I am aware I am very unfamiliar with any multiversal factions, but the attention on me is... humbling.
AUTH: Then again, given all the outsiders, it's something I probably should have expected. I was commissioned to help resolve the whole Sussui thing long beforehand. I'm a little sad that so few people followed through.

Auth sighs. He's not sure if there's anything Debbie can help him with at the moment...

AUTH: I'll keep it in mind, Debbie. it's nice to meet you. I should make sure Alicia's not getting into trouble.

Alicia, for what it's worth, has been on her best behavior.

Because there's not been anything for her to get in trouble with yet.

Alicia turns to immediately lock eyes with Auth as Doc gets knocked out. She's under fire too, but... well, she's not taken the worst of it yet.

ALICIA: Hey, Auth? I thought you were good at that whole Healing thing. Ink Saint? Basically immortal party?
AUTH: My healing efficacy is greatly inhibited due to the Thyme Field. Much more than last time. I don't want to put it on you, but...
[color=#add8ec]ALICIA: No, it's fine, it's probably because we're sharing the load of the Thyme Field, right? I think that why my Time powers are locked down so hard. We're fighting with the load of one unit.

Auth nods.

AUTH: The Thymefield weakened over time, I have no reason to doubt that this won't be the case here too. Chin up, we'll just have to do what we can.

Although Alicia can feel Auth's frustration as his healing was especially uneffective on Doc. Still, an unconscious person is in most need of help. He floats down to the ground as Pardon revives him.

AUTH: Up you get. This isn't the time or place for a nap.

A thin coating of ink covers any obvious wounds on Doc, Auth healing as he can and monitoring for poison or burning to purge. Doc would feel more energised, too - Alicia grins. She'd had the idea, then taught Auth to channel pure mana through his ink. Providing some of his borderline-limitless supply to others.

With that out of the way, Alicia takes a breath. She already knows. These beavers live in the cold, Ice won't do much to them. And she knows there's about to be a firestorm, from that massive bomb she's standing in the blast radius of... but if she can lock these things down, she will. Quite literally!

ALICIA: Alright, here we go! You're not going Anywhere!

Alicia moves to J15, and creates an incredible cyclone of crystalized snow and water around herself using Frozen Vortex, battering the Fell Beast next to her and the Fell Behemoth. She braces for impact as best as she can, clearly regretting her choices as she stares at the bomb that's literally in front of her.

Battle - The Wreckage

Blacklight glares at the fellbeast he just shot at earlier.

"If you know what's good for you, you will stay where you are and not interfere further."

Then he turns his attention elsewhere, and realizes that the rest of the team is struggling big time with the other beasts. Evidently bad enough that somebody got outright taken down. He headtilts as he inspects Doc's fallen body momentarily, then sighs.

"Very well, time to adjust priorities. Be careful, everyone."

Blacklight moves down to J19 and uses pinning shot again, now on Fellbeast 3.

Lepidodendron moves to (G8), and Bonus Action Harvests a Cinderfruit. They then pop a Mass Animation on (G10).

Shared Design will grant them Enlightened.

Skeleton at (H10), (H9), (F9).

Zombie at (G9).

Flirt Seeker1 a tile down.

Acting after Sakura:

Kalis moves to (F5), Aerobeams SouthEast, turns East at (M12), and then turns NorthEast at (N12). Sentinel and FellBeast are hit. Then they spend 1 Entropy to teleport back to (E5).

The battles continue. Not much more to be said.

<THE WRECKAGE, ROUND 2>

The beavers are getting bullied, but some new ones have arrived (yes, one was hiding in that exact tile R-8 missed on the bottom; no, I'm not making that up) and Alicia got rather exploded by R8's bomb. So, things are going about as well as last round. Keep up the mostly good but slightly problematic work!

<OUTLANDS, ROUND 2>

This battle doesn't look like it'll last much longer. The Iti are in retreat mode. Luckily for you, killing retreating combatants does not violate the Geneva Conventions. But Lentinula might bwaah if she sees, so be careful.

EROA: My my, your... servant?
EROA: How bold!
EROA: Then, how shall I serve you, Lady Yedonesis?

In the meantime, Eroa moves to K10 and uses Allure to yoink Ilex to K8.

Pardon winces as the big bomb goes off nearly killing off the Behemoth but definitely downing Alicia.

He flees the beaver and moves to M15 where he then raises Alicia form near-death. Hopefully this isn’t habit-forming.

The resulting Magic Pouch is placed at L14 for Doc to pick up for Mana restoration or something.

Not much can be done for Bonus

DEBBIE: They're attempting to retreat. To recoup their numbers.
DEBBIE: To strike back in the night, likely.
DEBBIE: Neutralize them.

...She doesn't seem overly bothered by the Seekers nipping at her legs.

Debbie uses the legendary Go First! technique.

She moves to (L9) and Botches away the Wall at (N11), the pillar sinking into a small puddle of Fluidsand, quickly settling once submerged. She then Guards.

Lentinula flutters her way back to everyone else and, noticing that everyone's busy... waits on the sidelines of the Iti battle to pick up the wounded and fallen.


As a small request: may I ask for Lentinula to be given a racial modifier?
