Welcome to Paradoxical Space, my take on DCCCV’s SuperSBURB,except it’s 413% more Exploitable and you guys, the Players, will be actually be playing in a Session with all that entails.Thanks to SBURBan Reckoning as well for providing another source for Inspiration.
Updates are...basically when I feel like it,pester me on Discord if I haven’t updated for more then 3 days though.
Rules
0.New rules can be added at any time.
1. To play this game, you need to make alchemies and cool weapons. Read the Alchemy rules for more.
2. You’re a Player of The Game,with your own Classpect , so some reality warping is to be expected.Alchemies are the main focus of this game though,and as much as it pains me to say this, please start your characters as humans(if you use alchemies to alter your body,I can’t really say no to that)
3. You find stuff by exploring your House and your Land,sometimes Items are even given out as Quest Rewards.
4. You have the ability to make unlimited alchemies at a time as Long as you can pay the Grist for them.Alchemy Grist Costs scale Exponentially to their Level and the Base Cost of Most Alchemies is at minimum 2.
5. Q: Can you pull off Hazel Wand level shenanigans? A:Yes
6. You can use the stuff in the inventory (link below) to alchemize.
7. You can be hurt. Ouch. You have 30/30 HP at the start of the Gams
8. If you are KOed,You are Dead,unless somebody uses the Plentiful methods in The Game to Revive you or uses some kind of Alchemy *wonk*
9. The current goal of the game is to Power Level until you can defeat your Denizen and the Black King,fairly normal Game stuff. If there’s something special, a itinerary will be provided.
10. Use common sense. Actually, maybe don’t. This is DTG-Related after all….
11. The GM’s word is law. All hail Greater Paradox of DTG
12. You can post twice per turn,or put all actions into one post,but you should label them as being 2 posts in 1.
13. This is the action setup:1 Action to do stuff and 1 Bonus Action per post for smaller things like accepting Quests,managing stuff.Ask Paradox for Details if Unsure
14.As a general Guideline,most Alchemies don’t have Durability and Offensive ones will be assigned a Damage Value,don’t be surprised if in certain circumstances and with Creativity,a Lower Tier Alchemy can deal more damage then a Higher Tier one.
15. This isn't really a rule, but more just a thing like the above rule. You have a 1/5 chance to crit on attack, doubling damage.
Story
You’re a Group of Friends who played a Game and now everyone is in space ?? On different Planets?? Also some people said that the world is ending in Meteor Hellstorm...though the last person to arrive said that for some reason,the casualties were much lower then expected according to the News report they saw...
On Alchemy Grouping:
You'll notice there are separate areas on the alchemy list for the Alchemies. Let's explain. Those are Offensive alchemies, which deal Damage.Defensive Alchemies,which provide Dodge,DEF(reduce Damage,otherwise known as AC),resistance to status-ailments etc.Support Alchemies,for the Healing and Buffs and the Utility Alchemies,for stuff that doesn’t fall into the above categories but can still provide some effect like Jetpacks,Charm Horn,Scroll to summon Nedben,the entire Adjective and Nouns Papers etc.
When equipping Alchemies,Logic holds sway.Of course,you could wear a ridiculous number of outfits at once,but that would inflict a very heavy Dodge Penalty.Unless of course,you can Flavour Text it.
Experience and Echeladders:
Different actions can net you EXP, which allows to advance on the ECHELADDER. This grants you special abilities and battle techs, and it's all found in the main document. New players will get EXP boosts to help them catch up, and more creative actions can net you more EXP!
On Enemies:Other then a few Scripted Encounters,you will have to Seek your own Underlings to get the Grist for further Alchemising Goodness
Other stats(constantly updating,watch this space):
Dodge: The chance to dodge an attack. However, dodge isn't a solid value. Rather, the more effort you put into attacking the enemy, the less the dodge chance is treated as. This doesn't mean people can’t dodge the attack, but their chance to will lower the better your attack is.
Status Effects(Also constantly updating):
Some enemies (and alchemies) will inflict status effects. Most status effects, unless otherwise stated, require you to wait until they run out or perform a action that would make sense to remove it.
On Fire: Can Stack.You take 1 damage at the end of each turn for each stack of On Fire,it decreases by 1 each turn unless flammable stuff is applied.
Bleeding: can Stack.Stack one is 5 damage a turn. 2 stacks, 10 damage, 3 stacks, 20 damage.
Blinded: You have -50% Accuracy,other Senses might be able to partially negate this though
Weakened: Can Stack,up to 3.You deal -25% damage for each stack of Weakness
Critless: You cannot crit.
Confused: You have a 25% chance to hit yourself when you attack instead of the target.
Poisoned: Can Stack.You take 4x damage every turn,where x is the number of Stacks of Poison!!
Stunned:cannot take any actions for the next X turns, cannot stun the same target the turn it unstuns
