Panic

--------------------
Many times have we been forgotten.

Many times have we been taken for granted.

Many times have we been abandoned.

Many times have we been broken.

Many times have we been blamed.

Many times have we been bound.

Many times have we been cast out.

No more. No more, we beg.

Battle: The Church of Helix
Irongutta (as Piggo) moves to X12 by using V13 and W13. This moves him a total of 3 spaces to grant his next basic attack a 60% damage buff! Halberd still held firmly in his mouth, he awkwardly slashes at the NaClestial!

Since he now knows that Piggo can understand him, Irongutta (as Piggo) squeals out an order to him to try and attack the NaClestial as well!

<ROUND ONE-HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE>

Echoss and Omo make some plans. He thinks about setting up an anti-Iti geobook system. She ponders the idea for a moment.

OMORIKA: It should be viable.
OMORIKA: However, we also may want to consider using those tiles to create an array of panels used for buffing ourselves.
OMORIKA: Either would be a desirable defensive measure.

OMORIKA: As for creating that... I'll require plenty of Manabloom. Mostly for potions. As well as some books, empty or otherwise.
OMORIKA: If you have more potent forms of mana restoration... or perhaps coffee, they'd be a huge help as well if we do create this.

He also muses about his plans about what he might be building. Omo hands him a sheet of paper.

OMORIKA: Ah, why not draw out your plans?
OMORIKA: Draw them out, then perhaps I could manipulate some wood into a "wireframe" of sorts.
OMORIKA: Try, say... illustrating it with a pencil, a pen, or your favorite spreadsheet program.
OMORIKA: Whatever that last one is.

His golems nudge some sandbags around, and also piece together a door downstairs to complete a room. Omo opts to join the golems in working, throwing together another pile of building materials.

Then, down in the Everground, Pionobot deposits his loot into a bucket, then checks out the lake. There's really not much to speak of in there. Boo. Maybe it's time to go deeper into the caves?

In addition, Chloe is comissioned to go and get some Yellow Sap, as well as some Yggherbs. She nods, if a bit sleepily.

CHLOE: Sure!
CHLOE: I... I guess I could explore the Endless Gardens?
CHLOE: That'll probably work. L-Let's go!

She ventures to Zone 3, eventually returning with a wheelbarrow full of jars. Each jar contains varying amounts of sap. Chloe is clearly exhausted.

CHLOE: O-Okay, so...
CHLOE: N-Nothing... really interesting happened. I found some intact trees amidst a bunch of burnt stuff, a-and I extracted what I-I could...
CHLOE: Plucked a few herbs when I-I could, too.../color]

Chloe takes a seat, taking deep breaths. She pulls out a small canteen of water, and splashes some on her already slick, sweaty face. She takes a look at Echoss, a mix of exhaustion and frustration in her eyes.

<span style='font-family:courier new'>CHLOE: Y-You really haven't b-been letting up with these requests, h-have you?
CHLOE: Obvious, I'm h-happy to provide, and I want to provide, but i-it's getting pretty exhausting...
CHLOE: D-Do you have anything t-to help with this? Energy drinks? C-Coffee? Something?
CHLOE: I-I don't think it'd be ideal if I just went and stopped grabbing things...

She's too exhausted to unload the wheelbarrow properly, so Echoss does it for her. 20 Yellow Sap Blobs, 5 Red Sap Blobs, and 5 Blue Sap Blobs found! She also drops 25 Yggherbs and 2 Yggapples into the inventory.

Auth finishes up some chats. First, he explains his blood to Chloe, noting that the Masters gave this boon to him. She nods, and the two of them wrap up their lesson about colors. This doesn't stop Chloe's seemingly endless stream of curiosity.

CHLOE: Ah, who are the Masters?
CHLOE: They must be really powerful, if your magical blood is a "boon" from them.

CHLOE: Also, your world's generally just fascinating in general!
CHLOE: Even though it has e-eyeball eating s-spiders, b-but I guess t-that's still fascinating, isn't it?
CHLOE: S-Sorry for bothering you with so many questions, but I like listening to everyone talk about their own worlds.
CHLOE: It's all so... different!

...Maybe as a change of pace, Auth should ask Chloe something? It'd probably be fun. Anyway, while Chloe awaits an answer of sorts, Auth also decides to sit with Nana, and read with her. She blushes a faint green once again.

NANA: A-Alright! Thank you!
NANA: So... u-um... let's start?

The two of them sit down together, quietly reading through the events of the Hobbit. It seems that Nana's quite the quick reader, and she occasionally poses random questions to Auth about various concepts in the book.

NANA: Oh, what are dwarves and elves?
NANA: They've come up a few times, and I'm thinking they're like, a different species?
NANA: Like... say, Chairians and Tabletopians.
NANA: Or maybe it's a nationality?

...The GM notes that he'll probably need to read all of the Hobbit for accurate roleplaying. Except he probably won't have time for that, so he attempts to shill Audible in an attempt to get free ebooks or something. Anyway, the two of them will probably be reading for awhile- maybe it'd be a good place to leave off until after they meet up after the Church raid?

Maria calls out to Cushion. Cushion heeds Maria's call, and lands in-front of the entryway to the Church. It crouches down, so that maybe Maria can hitch a ride. R-8733 meanwhile, is naturally drawn to its fluff. He moves over, producing a tool from his backpack.

R-8733: Oh, is this your Spiralfloof?
R-8733: I've heard they're hard to tame. How'd you manage to get one, if you're not even a Chairian?
R-8733: Huh.

R-8733: Anyway, a favor.
R-8733: Mind if I take a bit of its fluff?
R-8733: It'll grow back, don't worry.
R-8733: Spiralfloof cotton is a pretty valuable material... and believe it or not, it has practical applications in my work.
R-8733: It's mostly just really practical as an insulator, which can be helpful for a few things.
R-8733: I promise I won't take much.

Would Maria willingly give up some fluffiness? This is perhaps the hardest question she'll ever face in her life.

Meanwhile, down in the Everground, Venia's maid spritzes some healing potion onto the various burns located upon the eyestalk. It recoils at the sensation of something splashing against its already sensitive eye, thrashing violently around the room! While it flails, it slams into the maid, dealing (7) HP worth of damage to her! This however, still does heal the eye. Once it stops flailing, it goes back to staring at Venia, its attention fixated on her. It tries to get various views on her, but it doesn't dare approach her. The eyestalk is certainly more lively than before, though.

Is it a happy eyestalk? Who even knows? Is it possible to investigate this stuff?

Simeon... exists. His existence naturally lends itself to someone coming over to him and talking. Namely, he gets visited by Omorika, who's busy working on things around the house.

OMORIKA: Ah, greetings.
OMORIKA: I have seen you around the vicinity, but not for long periods of time.
OMORIKA: I am Stella Omorika, former member of the Chairian council, the Highchair.
OMORIKA: And who may you be?

Leaf revives an older roleplay! She giggles as Nia pops her head out of a snowdrift, and pats Nia on the head, alerting Venia Nia's spider. It [INSERT FRIENDLY SPIDER NOISE HERE]s towards her, prompting Nia to also give it a pat.

NIA: We gotta learn to ride it sideways!
NIA: That's like, the cool fun thing that we gotta learn with these guys!
NIA: I can pick up Venia on my spider, but sideways!
NIA: I mean, she'd probably fall off because she'd need the training too, but it'd still be awesome!

Leaf then proposes a race. Nia nods, not acknowledging that she's likely about to get her butt whooped by miss professional spider tamer.

NIA: Alright! You're on!
NIA: Me and... I'll call him Eggo, yeah, me and Eggo will kick your gorilla!
NIA: We are the fastest things alive! It's like if Usain Bolt was riding a spider!
NIA: ...Wait, that's not how that works.
NIA: Whatever!
</span>

Nia awaits directions. How will the race be? Point A to Point B? Will there be items on? What's the policy on blue shells?

<THE CHURCH OF HELIX, ROUND EIGHT>
Taeda rushes down the Butterfly, and smashes it across the eye with her staff. As it recoils from the blow, she casts her staff to the side, and begins to yell at the demon.

TAEDA: [color=#ff0000]HERETIC!

Without warning, she suddenly lunges for the Butterfly with a full-body tackle! The Butterfly simply stares as she approaches. What good could she, a frail little cleric, hope to do? Answer: slam into him as hard as she can, knocking them both to the ground. The Butterfly flails, but its body seems to be failing it. What's going on?

<0>: H<0>W? THIS B<0>DY SH<0>ULD BE STR<0>NG EN<0>UGH T<0> RESIST A FRAGILE BEING LIKE Y<0>U.

Too pissed to offer a proper response, Taeda bops the Butterfly in the eye with her fist, dealing minimal damage. This does however, give her a nice opportunity to pin down the Butterfly with her body! She then frees an El-Ite knife from the inventory, of the Ice element. She grips it with both hands.

TAEDA: YOU WILL KNOW TRUE PAIN BEFORE I ALLOW YOU TO DIE!
TAEDA: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

With a swift, brutal motion, Taeda jams the knife into the Butterfly's eye. This deals a minuscule amount of damage. The Butterfly begins to laugh, tendrils breaking free of the body to flank the priestess. They both form into razor-sharp points.

<0>: IS THAT Y<0>UR GRAND PLAN?
<0>: PATHETI-

...All of a sudden, the Sleuth's body begins to glow with the light of the Purge! A searing pain begins to light up the Butterfly's systems. Its voice suddenly fills with agony!

<0>: WAIT, WHAT HAVE Y<0>U D<0>NE?
TAEDA: IT IS CLEAR TO ME! HELIX HAS FINALLY PROPERLY ANSWERED MY CALL FOR YOUR UNDOING!
TAEDA: AHAHAHAHAHAHA! MY LORD, I OFFER THIS SACRIFICE TO YOU! SEND THIS HERETIC TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!

Taeda flips out, and begins to rapidly stab her knife into the Butterfly. No zone is off-limits. The eye, the iris, the body, the flesh, the arms- everywhere begins to obtain the smallest, most insignificant puncture wounds. And yet, these seem to massively harm the Butterfly, with both light and crimson mist spewing out of every little stab wound! The Butterfly spasms, totally unable to protect itself.

<0>: H<0>W? THIS P<0>WER WAS L<0>ST! WE MADE SURE <0>F IT!
TAEDA: I DON'T CARE! DIE, DIE, DIE!

The eye rips open, and begins to shriek an eldritch echo. This only spurs Taeda onwards, using one hand to pin the eyeball down. She then begins to focus her attacks solely on the eye, ripping into it with all of her fury. The Sleuth's body meanwhile, grows ever brighter, and the eyeball begins to shrivel up somewhat.

<0>: I SHALL N<0>T BE FELLED BY AN INFERI<0>R F<0>RM LIKE Y<0>URSELF!
TAEDA: WHY. WON'T. YOU. DIE!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

The Sleuth's body suddenly detonates! Taeda is sent flying a short distance, and into a pile of rubble near Chloe. She's a little scuffed up, and there's sap flowing from her lip, but otherwise she's mostly unharmed. She scrambles to get up as the Butterfly rises up into the air, free of the Sleuth's body. It begins to speak.

<0>: <0>UTSIDERS. SPHEREBREAKERS.
<0>: THIS SHALL N<0>T END.
<0>: Y<0>U MIGHT THINK Y<0>URSELVES VICT<0>RI<0>US, BUT THIS IS BUT A BATTLE.
<0>: Y<0>UR STRUGGLES ARE-

The Butterfly is promptly cut off when Taeda snags Chloe's Entropic Key and begins to blast the Butterfly with a series of long-ranged blasts! Small chunks of the Butterfly are blown away!

TAEDA: I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU! GET BACK HERE!

One of these beams impacts the eye, prompting the creature to vomit up the head of the Sleuth! It appears to be mostly undamaged, despite it being covered in fluxblood. The Butterfly, in a panic, begins to flap its wings rapidly! As a final act of defiance before it escapes, Taeda grabs a rock from the wreckage of the Church's floor, and bats it towards the Butterfly! Perhaps unsurprisingly, the rock bounces off harmlessly, and the Butterfly manages to escape, a cloud of crimson scales ripping through the church ceiling. Taeda can do little but yell and scream at it.

TAEDA: YOU COWARD! GET BACK HERE!
TAEDA: I WILL HAVE YOUR...
TAEDA: Your... h-head...?

Taeda comes to her senses, and with those senses, comes total exhaustion. She's never quite moved like that before. She falls backwards, where Chloe's available to catch her. The exhausted priestess rests in Chloe's arms as she tries to get a sense of her situation.

TAEDA: U-Ugh...
TAEDA: C-Chloe, why am I so tired? E-Everything's all... h-heavy...

CHLOE: Huh? You... don't remember?
CHLOE: We'll explain later, but for now... I think you've earned a break.

TAEDA: A-Alright...

The priestess gives a cute yawn, before falling asleep within the swordswoman's arms. Chloe remains standing, still holding Taeda in her arms. She takes a few deep breaths.

CHLOE: Holy gorilla.
CHLOE: D-Did we just... win? Against the Butterfly?
CHLOE: I-I can't believe it! W-We actually won!

NIA: Why're you so surprised? Darn thing didn't stand a chance~
MARI: That's awfully cocky of you.
MARI: Still, I can't believe we pulled that off...
MARI: also, dibs on the dude's head

OMORIKA: Indeed.
OMORIKA: And yet, I can't help but feel we still have work to do.

The Librarian's gaze falls upon the statue at the back of the room. The one that Magnolia went through.

OMORIKA: Why were the Rose here?
OMORIKA: Perhaps we've stumbled upon something... grim. Something we can't leave unchecked.

CHLOE: W-What do you mean?
OMORIKA: This... may be the base of the Rose Cult.
OMORIKA: I can't be sure, but I at the very least, have my suspicions.

CHLOE: ...Oh.
CHLOE: I guess our work's never done, is it?
CHLOE: But for now... let's take a load off for a bit. We've earned this victory!

OMORIKA: Indeed. We have earned our right to a quick break.

...And with that, your battle with the Butterfly has concluded! Once the next update rolls around, you'll be able to progress beyond the statue, and see whatever hellscape lies beyond there! For now, maybe take this moment to explore a bit of the Church of Helix, distribute skillpoints, and take a look at your loot? In addition, you may now equip full Tier 5 gear, as well as a single Tier 6 item! See what new chaos you can create with that!

In addition, tomorrow will bring new shop items to the Triangle Emporium, as well as new Relic Items in the Temmie Shop! The next proper update will bring a new patch to the game to address some concerns that occurred within the battle. Also be sure to check up on your allies- everyone's been through a lot today!

Anyway, thanks for playing! Be sure to stay tuned for what's in store!

Overworld Actions:
Upon the defeat of the butterfly, the Echoss echo nods, and then slowly fades away as the party celebrates.

Upon Chloe coming back Echoss jolts a bit.
"No, no... I'm sorry Chlo-Miss Elem. I shouldn't be driving you so hard. Here, I'll get you one of the cups of coffee, I believe the machine downstairs has a good amount."
Echoss hurries downstairs and quickly returns, coffee in hand.
"If you need to take a moment to rest, that's alright Miss Elem. There are enough of us here that someone, g̶͟e̷l͡r͝th̸̨̀, even I could... Echoss blinks when he abruptly realizes he's just cursed in eldritch. Ah, apologies for the language. Even I could help do some of it. You just take a break for right now, okay?"

In the Everground, Piono exits the lake and drops down to the next level, before carefully harvesting some of the Mantle Clusters in the Sheer Drop.

With Omorika, Echoss nods.
"As I'm thinking about it, my ideas may not be perfectly functional given the current space, we may need to clear just a little bit more.
The garden farm has another bout of crops ready to be harvested in not too long, there'll be fresh manabloom among that number and depending on how many credits we have to spare we can obtain some higher quality potions from Y.V. And we also have coffee available still, feel free to take stock of what we have in the inventory and let me know how much more we'll need.
"

Echoss pulls a clipboard with blueprint paper on it out of his coat pocket and moves back to the house, which he leans against and begins scribbling away at the blueprints.
Then a thing happens, it will probably be in Ziah's post.
Then the thing finishes happening and Echoss comes back and finishes drawing up his plans.

Tentative plans.

Current Building plans:
~24 bunk beds spread across two floors
Restroom areas to North so people can shower and stuff
Connect it to the main structure. Have them share walls?
Security options:
- More Turrets
- Geo Panels (need lots of manabloom, coffee, and books. Mostly need more books)
- enchanted windows
- Portals between parts of the house? (more turrets, anti-Iti geo panels?, barbed wire)

To do: upgrade my gear, apply my new statpoints.

Also something something research.

The Airship
Aesthetics:
I added a lounging area, stealing the bookshelves filled with manga from the library, the TV made of bookshelves, a library computer from the inventory, and couches made with (T5) Spiralfloof Floofballs (x4) padding on (x2) Iron frames.
The lounge area is a great place to simply hang out in the airship.

I add to the display pieces on the airship by taking the last display piece in the basement, and it proudly displays a command banner with the spherebreaker's symbol.

Hull:
The hull is reinforced with bands of (T4) Megabark (x10). Increasing armor and survivability greatly.

Systems: The ship is made of wood... probably would be smart if we add sprinkler and maybe other firefighting stuff later on.

A system using a combination of raindrop and frigid crystal (x5 each) are placed around the ship, initially inactive, each pair of crystals is activated (x5) ashen crystals detecting fire.

The Altar under the Whispering Library
Daskter moves to the sewers with the group, for science he will donate his blood.
It's going to be pretty interesting.
... and painful I guess

RP: Basement of Helix

Venia fires bullets after the Butterfly even as it begins speaking, taking Taeda's cue to keep firing until the beast completely fled-or at least she tried, but her ability to hold the form gave out quite abruptly on her, and she fell to the ground and-

"OH GOD! DON'T SCREAM!"

-holy crap it hurt. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt like nothing else in the world, like her body was on fire, like her head was going to break like glass and her body was about to melt from the torment. She writhed on the ground, too much for her to do anything other than bite her tongue and still she made a pathetic noise. The pain was everywhere and it would not leave her-Venia realized what it meant, Maids materialized and put bands on her wrists and ankles and joints and other places, a ward to remove that horrid goop from her insides as swiftly as possible. Voices assaulted her mind.

"You can't even keep yourself alive. Falling in love with you was a mistake. What will I do with this grief...?"

"V-venny... Venneeeyyyyy... Whhhhyyyyy?"

Venia's mind races, and given its Venia's mind racing it quickly comes to the logical conclusion: the form she calls Unexisting Unison is extremely dangerous in her current state. Perhaps her degrading identity combined with the fact she was effectively merging with her soul-effectively the spiritual manifestation of her identity-was perhaps like pain medications, not soothing the illness but numbing the agony instead. And it just wore off, all at once, without treatement. Venia's mind races as to why... She could just go back to developing an artificial-

"YOU ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND YET YOU STILL FIND EXCUSES TO DELAY. YOU MUST TAKE FROM OTHERS TO GIVE BACK TO YOURSELF. OTHERWISE, ROT."

- Or there was that.

Venia groans as her body and her existence stabilize and she realizes-though it came from the darkest parts of her mind, the desires she can't abide by even in the worst of times-that her time was running out. She had a kind of spell for the occasion, but she was reluctant to use it, second only to the use of the mask spiders. A spell to strike at the very core of something, to rip out a part of the nebulous concept of their existence and give to her. It would take much more than what she could deal with it to completely erase them like she would be, and it would recover in time Hers wouldn't. Hers was actively degrading. She would need every scrap. It would have to do.

She still was laying on the floor, now back to manageable amounts of pain, at least. She looked at Nia, who was conversing with Chloe. A burning feeling rose inside her-and then she assured herself. Chloe was not interested in Nia in that manner. Why was she getting so worked up over it, though? So immediately?

What she should be getting worked up over was defeating the Butterfly! The freak of nature that corrupted the Sleuth and had terrorized Sussui for who-knows-how-long, and it was sent in enough pain and agony to get out of dodge sooner than fight them. Again. "This is but a battle" her ass, the Butterfly fled in fear and barely kept up a poker face over it. It was good at keeping a facade going, but not good enough.

Venia eventually stood up with the help of her maids, and tried to focus on the victory as opposed to her imminent mortality. "... We won. W-we won. I... I can't actually believe it. We, we seriously won. No-body died, either. G-good work guys! Great work! This is a, a big win. And we got the Glyph in a reasonable timeframe for once, too!" Venia said, as her Socialite held it triumphantly overhead. "Omorika! Uh. That was awesome, what we did, and also I have to say, uh, like, please. Never do that again, uh, ever. Ever. My body is screaming at me to die. Let's just call that a side-effect of overusage of those types of spells... Yeah, and uh, never do that again, please. Apologies... N-not your fault."

She had done too much-that was the other thing. Her body was still weak. But she could stand and fight, and she'd give every inch for it. She wants to live, for her.

"Nia! Awesome work, as always. Like, uh, uh. What'd you think of that, like, crazy thing we did?... I'm not doing that again. Uh, yeah. Not, not gonna lie. It hurt. It hurt really, really hard. That wasn't good for me. Uh, but, enough of that. Dates! Dates. I think now is a good time as any to wind down a bit. Yeah. Yeah. Uh. Church is kinda out, Yggdrasil's crowded with Chairians... Or we could just teleport to the top or something, uh. I'unno. Altar garden? It looks peaceful. I'l meet you over there in a few, uh, if, if you don't have any objections."

After getting the location of the date sorted out, she turns to Mari and the Sleuth's head, and she ponders. Previously, Xavier couldn't do anything to stop the Butterfly, as the files he had copied the Butterfly with it. As long as the Sleuth was cursed, so too would his manifold descendants be cursed.

...But the Sleuth was no longer cursed. The curse itself flew off and abandoned the Sleuth's head, likely the only place where the Sleuth's consciousness remains.

"Mari, you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"

Mariaaa

"Oooh, oooh, uh. Animals love me, and I love animals. I am like, an animal happiness person. Animals are happy around me, and they love me, and I love them and pet them. Cushion was restin' on the roof and I saw him and he was cute and I petted him a bunch and fed him some funny kitty food, and now he is my friend and I love him."

She ponders R-8733's request. "Mister, why don'tcha just go into the, uh, inventory? Inventory. En-ven-Tor-E. Inventory! Uh, all'a Venny's friends talk about it a lot and they get stuff from it, and I'unno what's in there but maybe there's some fluffy? I love fluffy-"

It is at this juncture that the Chaos Butterfly explodes from the top of the Church of Helix. Maria shrieks at the noise, and witnesses the horror flying on high, eyes transfixed.

"... That was awesome!... Wait, wait! Venny's in there!" Maria says. Then, realizing what she just said, she shrieks. "VENNY'S IN THERE!"

Maria mounts Cushion and immediately orders him to fly into the Church of Helix. She sees the awful hole in the floor and no-one around. "Are they down there? Cushion, fly down there!" Maria shouts. Cushion leaps into the hole, and descends in a perfectly controlled manner. And there she is-Venia! Standing next to the weird cloud-haired lady (Mari?) and a decapitated head (Ewwww... Cooooool.)

"VENNY! VENNY! Are you OK?! I saw the big thingy fly out of the church and it was cool but it also looked weird and I thought it hurt you with all the noise! I thought this was a party! ... I like parties. Are you OK?!" Maria shouts.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm fine, Maria..." Venia says, trailing off.

"Oh. ... Yaaaay! What happened?" Maria says as Cushion lands on the floor.

"We kicked the fiend's butt, is what happened." Venia says.

"Oh! Yaaaaaaaay! Uh, wuzzat?" Maria says, pointing at the severed head. "What're you doin? Also what was the thingy on the window upstairs? And why's there a hole here? And who's that on the statue? What's an inventory?" Maria asks, in rapid fire.

Shopping/Research

Venia snags a Radvessel from YV for 2,000 credits. This will raise the skillpoint softcap to 13. She also purchases the Omega Processor and Fast Travel Beacon from the Temmie Shop, for 1,000 Credits each.

Venia instantly buys Realization and Anomalous. The instant she completes the machine associated with Realizeation, she intently watches the Entropic Key and wonders what form it will take next. As for anomalous, she mutters to herself, brow crossed. "... The flesh-manipulating abilities of this Flux thing... In conjunction with that... Yeah. I'll need data of more Flux Mutations. Err, if there's truly a limited number as conceptual data suggests, it'd be all of them, in fact... Bleugh. This is absolutely awful but I guess I'm doing it."

...She also buys Relinquish Will and Impose Penace. "... Prior experiences... Have given me, given me pretty easy insight into how it all works. Its a bit, a bit, bit different from what I'm... Err. What I'm used to, but it should work in the Thymefield... Still though, exercise restraint on its use. Such violations of free will are... Yeah. Yeah. Bad."

She also unlocks the perk lab and with it picks up Strong Throwing Arm.

Finally, unless anyone stops her, she'll use the Research Nanomachines that everyone forgot about to instant-buy CAVBoost V2. Yay!

Skillpoints/Such

Venia removes a single point of MHP to add Anomalous to her Perks.

Venia changes Unexisting Union to Unexisting Force.

Unexisting Force

-1 SP required per SPC. (Minimum of 60 SP.)

+1 Charge Limit per 8 SPC. (Gain enough SP Cap to earn another use of this special.)

+1 Vampiric Intensity per 8 SPC.

Focused Force at 10 SPC and 10 STR. (Each stack of Force also grants +5% CNT and HIT.)

Fleet Force at 10 SPC and 10 AGI. (Each stack of Force also grants +5% DGE and CAV.)

Fortunate Force at 10 SPC and STR. (Each stack of Force also grants +1 CRT.)

Transfer Force at 15 SPC. (When using this special, you may target an entity in Range 1-2. That entity will gain a force stack instead of you.)

Crafting

Power Glove

Venia gets to work! She plucks out a Throwlem hand from the Inventory, as well as a Jotun arm, a unit of Liar's Flesh, and 5 Units of Joltwire, as well as the typical indefinite amount of electronic parts. She proceeds to manipulate the potential mutative properties of Liar's Flesh to seamlessly merge it into the Jotun Arm, then seamlessly merge the Throwlem Hand into the Jotun Arm's biochemical structure without disrupting it. End result; raw beefy muscles strength with a literal rock solid hand foundation. POWER ARM, WOO.

She then proceeds to messily gore out most of the muscle in the Jotun Arm as no-way is anyone gonna heave that around, reducing it to Thyme Matter, which casually pools into the infinite Thyme Matter pool in the inventory. This done, she takes the electronic components and wires them into the Jotun Arm, after going over a few magical incantations for each, of course. This gives the Jotun Arm... Advanced magical capacity? Of course, that its a mostly-hollow arm removes most of the defensive properties it had before. Boo.

This done, Venia cleans off the result, and then shrinks it down-shrinks it down into something resembling a glove with a keyboard on the end of it. Its resemblance to an old memetic piece of Nintendo Hardware can no longer be avoided.

This done, she presents it to Nia. "Nia! You did excellently in the fight, but it felt like you were kind of struggling at a few points given the nature of your attacks and such. Uh, this is an upgrade from the Throwlem Arm-it'll be a bit less useful as a shield, but the keyboard at the top can record a spell for you to cast. It'll still cost your mana, but you'll have an extra spell, basically. Same 'super-throwing' ability as before, too. Cool, right?"

Materials Expended: Throwlem Hand Crafting Charge, Jotun Arm (x1), Liar's Flesh (x1), Joltwire (x5), indeterminate but somewhat large amount of T1 electronic components.

Power Glove Stats here

Other

The Silver-Gold Chainbracelet receives an emergency patch in the form of changing Roseslayer Venia's buff! It now grants Guardian2 and Erroveil2 in Range 1-3, instead of Ordo.

Crya switches from Glacial Monolith back to Hailstorm, deciding to put her 2 extra skillpoints into Hailstorm, keeping the point that was originally for Glacial Monolith with Hailstorm.

<RESPECLAND>
It's that time of the month again. (The build is in the tab "Lukas Gets His Wings.")

<MEANWHILE...>
This turn, Lukas has a galaxy brain moment and equips Anomalous. His form flickers in and out, briefly becoming a silhouette of itself, then returning to normal. This time, however, he looks older, and a pair of ethereal wings has sprouted from his back. He looks around, and walks around aimlessly. The crown of flowers decorating his head begins to... bleed, somehow.

The masked man returns to check on the situation. "Looks like that thing's gone." Lukas flies towards him, and floats in place, looking at him menacingly.

"Who... who am I?"

The man looks away, then back at the now-older kid. "I dunno, honestly. I literally just met you today."

Lukas drops to the ground, and continues wandering.

Bow Kid shuffles stuff!

-(Drop Loaded Spellbook)
-(Replace Sword Beam with Mirror Image)
-(Replace Aerobeam with Deep Thinking)
-(-1 INT)
-(+3 SPC)
-(3 KP into Hidden Flow/Flux (Manafuelled2))

She also crafts a few things!

Ribbon of Remembrance (Hat)
MATERIALS:
-Light Switch (...Nobody's using it, so may as well)
-1x Puresilk
-yeah that's it

Bow Kid wants a new bow! A powerful new bow!

She gets Sophia to weave a unit of Puresilk into a usable ribbon. Then she takes the lightswitch, utters some incantation of some sort, extracts the dreamy energies and mingles them with temporal magic, and infuses the ribbon with them.

Ribbon of Remembrance crafted!

Hat Plushie Ultra (Trinket)
MATERIALS:
-Hat Kid Plushie Comm (duh)
-Amphi Aura Extract (x2)
-Preserved Spider Eyes (x2)
-Puresilk (x5)
-Spiralfloof Floofballs (x4)
-Shimmering Cluster (x2)
-Phase matter (x1)
-Sapphire (x2)
-Fireproof Silkweed (x3)

Sophia and Bow Kid continue working together. This time, the Hat kid Plushie is due for another upgrade. First, Bow Kid, after communicating plans with Sophia, drains all of the magic energy into her signature bow. This, unfortunately, has the side effect of making Sophia completely deaf.

However, this doesn't deter Sophia from getting to work on the Plushie itself. She unravels the Plushie's fabric, and weaves in even more fabric; this time, she laces in Puresilk and Fireproof Silkweed, and adds ultra-floofy Spiralfloof Floofballs to the stuffing, making it super nice to cuddle. She also dyes the fabric her skin color, for that extra effect.

She stitches the plushie and all its parts back together, essentially making it identical to what it was. Notably, however, it's much larger due to having more fluff, the fabric used is dyed a different color, and Sophia took the eyes off.

Sophia stitches Sapphire eyes to the Plushie, making sure they were securely where they should be. It's already starting to look even more like her. She sets it down on the couch for Bow Kid to get. She does so, and begins her portion of the process. But not before shoving all the magic that was once in the Plushie back into it, allowing Sophia to hear again.

Bow Kid sets down 2 units of Amphi Aura Extract, 2 Shimmering Clusters, and 2... Preserved Spider Eyes, one right and one left. "Ewww..."

She immediately extracts the aspect of sight from the Preserved Spider Eyes into her bow, making them shrivel. She yeets them out the window in disgust. She then extracts all the light energy from the Shimmering Clusters, and mixes the sight with the light. Using the Amphi Aura Extracts as a catalyst of sorts, Bow Kid channels the rightmost half of the energy into the right Sapphire Eye. She does the same for the left half of the energy and the left Sapphire Eye.

Finally, Bow Kid finalizes it by imbuing the Amphii Extract into the eyes, one unit for each eye.

Hat Plushie Ultra created!
Main differences:
-The Plushie can now be healed at 10% effectiveness.
-The x2 effective AC when attacking has been removed.

Bow Kid wants Sophia to try it!

"All done!~ Can you close your eyes and reeeealy try to look from the plushie's eyes?"

Sophia closes her eyes, and focuses. It takes a little while, but she finally gets it. She's a little smaller than she would like to be, but at least she could see. It seems to come with the added benefit of remote movement... how that wasn't a thing before is beyond me. Perhaps it was the will of the holder moving it along previously... Sophia reports her results.

"Ohmygosh, I can see! I can see! It's a little smaller than me, but that's okay, I can see! Thank you!~"

Crafted Items Here!

She also decides to T5 upgrade her Longwave Radio at Marron's. She asks if they could make the beatmap stuff better in some way; maybe add an extra beat in there if they can? Or, if that's too much, maybe an extra beat change per use? Though if either would be too much, just go with something else. Of course, she gives the credits. Only enough for 1 copy, though.

Of course, she equips everything.

"Yay, we won!"
"Yay, we won!"

After the battle, the two Bow Kids high-five each other in celebration... only for their hands to get stuck together, causing confusion, and panic as the two begin merging back together. Bow Kid 2, aware of what's going on, says "Goodbye..." before merging back into Bow Kid 1 entirely, forming the full Bow Kid. She seems a bit down due to the disappearance of her other half, but not cripplingly so. "Aww..."

...She walks into the Northern Transept.

MU has been stationary for all this time. However, all this time she decided to charge up a laser! Temporal energy practically radiates from her as she focuses her attention downward. She begins floating...

Then, she fires a laser downward, aiming to drill and clear out all the dirt, rock and rubble out of the way. It's awful bright and noisy, though...

Once that's completed, she brings down even more iron chains.

-3 SKI
-1 MHP
+Limit Breaker Perk.
+2 MMP
+2 INT
+1 SPC
Also, she should have 8 HIT from her weapon.

She also swaps back Nettle Burst for Hidden Rock/Toxin. Maybe worth keeping the latter around, though?

She also uses the Grand Fluxblood to upgrade her armor to the Arboreal Domain. Manipulating the Grand Fluxblood is a simple process, even with the crudeness of her flux-influenced staff. It surrounds the amulet of her Natural Domain, entering each groove and enhancing its sinister powers. She immediately equips it.

Armor: Arboreal Domain (T6)
Still not really armor.
Effects: (+6 INT) (+6 MMP) (+3 DEF) (-2 AGI) (Root Domain+)
Resists: Piercing (30%). Crushing (30%). Earth (40%). Dark (20%). Fire (-20%).
[Root Domain+]: You may remove a Downed entity within Range 1-4 as a standard action. Twice per battle, you may do so as a Bonus Action. Unavoidable if you have 10 or higher Overgrowth Threshold.

She commissions Marron to make her a new trinket, as well, since no-one else appears to be using the service. Just the one copy. She replaces the Nexus Rune with it.

Trinket: Soothing Token (T5)
Effects: (+1 INT) (+3 MMP) (Untense) (-1 AGI)
Resists: (20% Psychic) (-10% Fire)
[Untense]: Per battle, the first three instances of damage you take while meditating are ignored for the purposes of successful meditation. They still deal damage and such as they would normally.
This also includes effects such as Deep Thinking.

The battle is over. The butterfly got yeeted out of the sleuth's body and has buggered off. Yet, to Calibri, it doesn't really feel like a victory - for one thing, that means that copy of the butterfly is still alive, and for another, he's currently experiencing severe agony owing to soul damage. As such, he immediately collapses onto the ground once the butterfly is out of sight, laying there and staring upwards at the ceiling of the church.

"...Agh... Another one exists now..."

He remains where he is for quite some time, then eventually decides he has things to do. As such, he braces himself on the floor with one hand, then pushes himself back to his feet, wincing and staggering a little in the process. Once he feels he can walk okay, he wanders over to each of the sturdy wooden doors to check if there's anything in the transepts, then, lacking anything better to do, he goes over to Chloe.

"Heya Chloe. Felt like it'd be nice to... just... talk or something for a while..."

...It's pretty obvious to anyone who can see Calibri and understand injuries that he's not doing well. He's standing with a heavy lean on one leg, has a rather nasty series of vicious dusty cracks running down the side of his face and a long way down his body, and is holding a small spherical object with a similar pattern of cracks in it.

Verdana, meanwhile, is completely oblivious as to the issue his sibling is currently facing. He's buggered off to the north, specifically investigating the damaged barracks northways from the town armory.

"This may seem like a stupid move, but it's worth checking the ruined buildings. Who knows if there's a secret pocket of cultists, native animal species, or treasures in them? Or at the very least some supplies."

...There's also a Chibi Nia trailing him. She's dressed in a wizard outfit, and seems to be deliberately etching a trail into the ground so Verdana doesn't get lost.

The air chills. So does existence itself, it feels like.

In one moment, nothing happens. In the very next, a human-shaped portion of the empty space a few feet ahead of Chloe breaks, unexplainable shards of ice collapsing to the ground to reveal the Child of Poisons standing there. They immediately launch into a fiery tirade.

CHARA: The shortest term one could use to describe the Masters is "monsters."
CHARA: And I speak that from a mostly objective standpoint, even, when you consider who the members are. A cheapskate who drove a girl to suicide. A murdery
gorilla. A drug dealer. A paranoid loon who runs a game of killing others repeatedly. A warmonger whose orphanage is something right out of Anne Frank's postmortem nightmares. A gorilla even more murdery than the last. A greedy nutso. Oh, and don't you even dare try defend Pages, it outright killed me in my first life as an author when I refused to give up my work.
CHARA: The closest thing to a good guy they have is either dead, and also drives people to cannibalism, or the one who sells human meat.

The newcomer finally takes a deep breath, before plopping down onto the ground and procuring a sheet of paper and a pen from somewhere. They start writing on it, continuing to talk in a much softer tone than earlier.

CHARA: ...My sincerest apologies for dropping in uninvited and ranting. I just felt that a whole lot of Bazaarine whitewashing was about to happen, and if there is anything I hate in life, it is undeserved fame born from hiding away sins.
CHARA: In any case, or rather, in the case that you weren't at the table when my idiotic drunk self was talking nonsense about who I was, my name is Chara. Chara... just Chara is fine.
CHARA: I've been to the emotional rollercoaster that is Authy-boy's home universe as well, for far longer than I wish I had to, so you can ask me as well if you feel like he isn't telling something.

They go silent, continuing to scribble away at the paper. It seems that they're filling out some sort of layout, the kind that tabletop RPG characters are planned in.

Elsewhere...

The signature, all too recognisable sound of fabric tearing is heard at Letsid's current location, heralding the puncturing of a hole in reality. Chara steps out of it and it closes behind him. He slowly strides toward her, a blank, eerily neutral expression on his face. Letsid, of course, remains inactive and unresponsive, her creator having abandoned her long ago.

CHARA: Believe it or not, I am not doing this out of any ill will. I simply believe that letting you fade into obscurity without any funeral rites would be undignified.
CHARA: So I thought to myself, why not deliver you some silent ones?

The next few seconds are a blur, but when they pass, she is mercifully and decidedly dead on the ground. Sighing and slightly regretting what is about to happen, Chara crouches down with a scalpel in hand and begins extracting any body parts that can conceivably be used as ingredients for crafting and alchemy.

And at the same time...

The signature, all too recognisable sound of fabric tearing is heard at Ansem's current location, heralding the puncturing of a hole in reality. Chara cuts the paragraph short, however, not wishing to waste her time on useless repetition.

CHARA: I was actually looking forward to getting to know you, but we can't have everything, can we?
CHARA: Perhaps I will meet you in the Paradox War, or once your essence here reawakens. But until then, riposa in pace.

She conjures up another one of her blades. However, this one is much different than the rest, being an intricate oversized key. A moment later, all that remains of Ansem are several clouds of Darkness, which she bottles up and deposits in the Inventory.

Many times have we been forgotten.

Many times have we been taken for granted.

Many times have we been abandoned.

Many times have we been broken.

Many times have we been blamed.

Many times have we been bound.

Many times have we been cast out.

No more. No more, we beg.

Auth was about to talk about the Masters. Then he was ever-so-rudely interrupted by Chara. He looks slightly crankily at Chara as they talk about the crimes of the Masters of the Bazaar.

AUTH: Thank you, Chara. I appreciate you interrupting my lesson. I understand you may think I am somewhat biased in favour of them.
AUTH: You may be correct, in truth. I owe some of them quite a lot. Particularly Pages, I am aware of his actions but would appreciate if you left that be. Now... please let me say what I was going to say?
AUTH: Cups, Spices, Iron, Fires, Veils, and Pages...
AUTH: I wouldn't say You-Know-Who is all that good. It was absolutely unjust but his rage has caused much harm to others. So much death and misery...

Since Chara has stopped talking, Auth continues.

AUTH: The Masters of the Bazaar are a specific group of Curators, who are giant bats with a propensity for hoarding, who went down to the Neath with the Bazaar many, many years ago. They're basically its assistants.
AUTH: Their number is complicated. There are at present nine, two of them go under two names. I can go over them if you'd like, but that's also not the point.
AUTH: They run Fallen London, that's what matters. They're... not even strong among their kind, but compared to humans, yes.
AUTH: The benefit from the blood is my memory. It reduces Irrigo's effectiveness on me, and makes my memory much sharper. Since I'm a half-vampire, I have much sharper senses to start with, so I detect and remember things much easier than a normal human.

Auth chuckles at Chloe's comment about how his world is interesting.

AUTH: It's my second home, really. Third, technically, but... I don't think I can ever go back to where I was born. Even if the building's still there, even if death is all but an inconvenience...

Auth looks sad, reminiscing. Memory, to him, inescapable. The good and bad, he'll never be able to escape things. Wonders, like nothing that could be conceived by mortal mind, but also horror and trauma that scars the mind. Auth cannot escape from his own mind, the blessing, the curse.

----

Auth nods, willing to help Nana understand concepts in the book. She asks some pretty important questions right away.

AUTH: Yes, it is basically like that. Different species, that is. Dwarves are short and stout humans, they're usually skilled blacksmiths in fictional texts like this. Good metalworkers, usually live underground, that sorta thing. They're small.
AUTH: Elves, on the other hand... are tall, slender humans. Tend to have elongated ears...

Auth looks to the sides of his own head. His ears look like those that would belong on an elf.

AUTH: They've got strong magical affinity. Very, very strong, and have an equally strong connection to nature as a whole. They've also got a talent for archery and woodworking. About what you could expect, yeah. Basic summary of those two...

Auth happily answers any further questions Nana has as they read the book...

----

Auth and EN Did a Thing!

At… some point in time, Auth has had a sudden remembrance. He remembers the altar in the sewers of the Grand Library. An altar that he vaguely recalls having flux, and an altar which was completely unsolved. The only problem being that Auth has no idea what it does.

And Auth doesn’t want to go by himself. Such an investigation has the propensity to be awkward, so… Auth attempts to flag down EN-913 from where she is.

AUTH: Hey, Mama! Um… are you doing anything? Like… right now?

EN, currently leaning against one wall of the airship and gazing at it as if considering what to add to it, is distracted by the sound of Auth’s voice. After a moment of looking around in confusion, she figures out where he is and turns to him with a wave.

EN: Sup, Authy. Ah’m naw busy right a’ th’ mo’, wha’cha plannin’ on doin’?

AUTH: You remember the Grand Library? I’m sure you do. There was an altar in the sewers down there? And I wanted to work out what was up with it, it’s got Flux in it as I recall. Can you come with me?

EN: Yeah, ah ‘member goin’ there. Pretty sure there be an altar, aye, ain’t really done much t’ it, nor anyone else, far as ah know. Coul’ give it a look-o’er, if ya really feel it, ah s’pose.

EN shrugs.

EN: Ain’t like ah’ve got else t’ do. Ya know th’ way?

AUTH: Mm. I do, I remember. Follow me, then?

Auth nods, remembering the way. He leads EN back towards the Library from the Airship, and as one would expect, she follows along closely. He tries to make conversation on the way, of course.

AUTH: Well, um… met anyone of interest since you stopped active combat?

EN:Well… Lemme think…
EN: Did ya meet Leaf? Ain’t sure if ya ‘ave. She’s kinda new, far as ah’m aware.

AUTH: Leaf…? May have. I’m not sure, I don’t… think so, though. No.
AUTH: I will keep her in mind, though. Always like meeting the newcomers. Anyone else?

EN: Hmm… Sides tha’, ah’m naw sure ah’m ‘ware o’ anyone new an’ super notable. Ain’t like we git too many people visitin’ us ‘round ‘ere anywho, so…
EN: Eh, ah’ll let’cha know ‘bout ‘em if they do pop up. Bound t’ be new folk ‘ventually…
EN: Oh yeah, there’s also a lassie named Summa, or somethin’ like tha’. Ya might’ve seen ‘er, or mightn’t’ve’d th’ time t’.

If one listens very closely, they might hear the english language crying out in pain at the sheer density of contractions in EN’s voice just now.

AUTH: Oh, Summa! Yep, I know her. I met her earlier, just before we went off to deal with Yume.
AUTH: She reminded me a lot of you. I thought you two would get along fairly well.
AUTH: Did you?

EN shrugs.

EN: Ain’t quite sure. Th’ only interaction we’ve ‘ad in any real depth ‘as been put on pause fer a while…
EN: (Ah know ah’m naw s’posed t’ break th’ fourth wall like tha’ but c’mon)
EN: Guess ah’ll find out, ‘ventually.

Auth nods, understanding… before the pair reach the hatch to the sewers outside.

AUTH: Here we are, just down here. Careful, it’s dark and there’s water.
AUTH: Know you hate it, but… y’know, I need your help with that.

Once outside the hatch, EN inhales for a moment.

EN: ...Smells like shite. S’pose it is a sewer af’er all…
EN: A’ight, ya first, or me?

Auth pauses, thinking for a moment.

AUTH: Surprised you can beat the censor like that.
AUTH: I think I’ll go first. Probably for the best.

Auth makes an attempt to open the hatch himself. He puts his heart into it but it doesn’t go very far. EN watches for a while, noticing Auth’s issue with the hatch and just faintly smiling in pity(?), then she wanders over to pick up the hatch herself…

And accidentally tears the hatch off of its hinges.

EN: ...Oopsie. Ah’ll fix tha’ later, prolly.

For now, she just stuffs the hatch into the inventory.

Auth smiles. Quietly appreciating the help (but not the subsequent smell), Auth climbs down the ladder into the Library Tunnels. He stands well out of the way and waits for EN to come down herself.

AUTH: Just take it slow, Mama, there’s no rush!

EN: YEET

EN demonstrates supreme (lack of) listening skills by hurling herself down into the tunnels, ignoring the ladder entirely. Thankfully it somehow doesn’t go well, as she manages to land on her feet without squishing anything important, or worse, landing in water.

EN: A’ight… Looks fairly one-track from ‘ere, ay.

AUTH: Yeah, one track but dark. Careful you don’t fall in the water, path is surrounded by it.
AUTH: Altar should be fairly obvious...

Auth leads EN down the path towards the altar, making sure to guide her in a way such that she won’t fall in the sewage around her. Auth appears to be trying his best to deal with the stench, but that doesn’t prevent eyes watering from its potency. As for EN, despite her comment regarding the smell of the local area, she doesn’t seem too badly affected by it, and just wanders after Auth. The main thing on her mind is giving the nearby waters a wide berth…

EN: How far in’re we goin’?

AUTH: Not far, it’s just there...

A few meters down from the ladder, they’ve reached the altar in question. Yes, there’s definitely some sort of flux coming off of it. Two hand-shaped indents on top, but not much else readily apparent.

AUTH: I don’t know how this thing works, or what it does, it’s why I thought to ask you for a hand. What’s your opinion?

EN inspects the altar. There are hand-shaped indents. She decides to point this out.

EN: Ya seen th’ indents? Pretty sure yer meant t’ put yer ‘and in one o’ ‘em, an’ then someone else puts their ‘and in th’ other, an’ then ya go from there…?

AUTH: Alright, sounds fairly obvious. Well, do you wanna try putting your hand on it? I’ll put mine on one and you on the other.

Auth walks up to the altar, placing his hand in the groove to fit it.

EN: A’ight, s’pose ah’ll see wha’ ‘appens...

EN, given she was already near the altar, just moves around to the unoccupied side of the altar, then slaps her hand down firmly in the groove and waits for a moment to see what happens next. She also seems to have pinned a notebook to the side of the altar, prepared to scribble down some notes…

Nothing happens. For a moment. Auth looks up, waiting… He almost moves to take his hand away, but then…

AUTH: AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Something shoots out from the Altar. Something Auth can’t see, because it’s fast. But quickly, blood is drained from Auth’s body. He can’t take his hand off for the time being, but it seems he is in quite the amount of excruciating pain. At the other end of the altar, there’s a crunching sound, although EN doesn’t look to have been hurt. In fact, she has an expression of confusion on her face. Whatever it is that came from the altar tries again, and this time there’s an actual mark left behind. Another shot, and another, then one more finally manages to break through her resilience…

For a few seconds, the thing standing at the other end of the altar does not appear to be EN in the slightest. Ordinary descriptions fail to meet the standards that this creature, made of titanium and so many unknowable things twisted into a roughly humanoid form, truly is in an existential sense. All that can be known for sure is that the less said about it, the better it is for everyone… Then, those seconds pass, and EN’s once again at the other side, her previously-free hand now clutching her other wrist tightly and wearing an expression of noticeable discomfort.

EN: Tha’s a mite painful, y’know...

AUTH: A mite painful is an understatement… a very large one.

Auth seems… unsettled, yet he feels like what he saw that was, possibly, something relating to EN was familiar, in some way. Almost like he’s seen it somewhere before but he can’t work out where. He decides to leave it be, though. He watches as the… strange, frankly, extract that was drawn from EN swirls down the altar. A strange fluid, that looks like gray paint, TV static, glitter, and water, mixed all together. Auth flinches, though, as the static distorts… to see something horrible within.

Soon after, a vial of something comes out from the altar. That extract, mixed with Auth’s deep red, unforgettable blood. EN observes the combined vial with some level of interest, silently writing down a few notes with her non-injured hand, mainly concerning the thing she saw flicker out and stab the both of them…

EN: A’ight, wonder wha’ tha’ vial will do...

Auth picks up the vial, carefully, with his uninjured hand, looking at it carefully…

AUTH: Well… I don’t know if the vial itself is special or anything, but…
AUTH: Well, it’s a mix of my blood and… whatever that was that it got out of you.
AUTH: I don’t suppose you’re able to tell me, no?

Auth looks slightly concerned towards EN, before putting the Vial into the inventory and healing his hand.

AUTH: Come here, that won’t do...

Auth then walks up to heal EN’s hand, should she offer it to be healed. EN’s busy writing things down - it might be worth noting that she’s clearly writing with her offhand, and probably didn’t think her idea through entirely.

EN: Dunno wha’ it could’ve been, really. Ah dinnae tha’ much ‘bout meself, naw. Anythin’ ya wanna note down ‘bout it?

AUTH: Did you see what happened to yourself?
AUTH: I can describe it if you didn’t see anything...

EN: Nope. Ain’t got a mirror on ‘and, so...

EN shrugs, looking frustrated as she keeps trying to write for a while, then eventually giving up and offering over her injured hand to Auth. Auth nods in return, taking her hand and carefully covering it in ink. Auth used this trick to heal her in battle, it should work here. After a few minutes, Auth withdraws the ink, and (result.)

AUTH: Well, you… went all…
AUTH: Frankly, it’s hard to describe. It was, like… twisted metal and… god knows what forced into a vaguely human shape.
AUTH: Nngh. It certainly wasn’t the most comfortable thing, I can imagine...

EN blinks.

EN: Well tha’ don’t sound too good t’ look at. Ah hope tha’s naw gonna be changin’ yer opinions o’ me or anythin’ like tha’.

For a moment, she pauses, unsure about what to say and just passing the time by going back to notetaking. Then, after a while, she shrugs.

EN: Tha’ th’ important part done wit’, aye?

Auth smiles quietly.

AUTH: You’re still Mama, no matter what. Don’t think a little… eldritch could scare me off.

Auth then nods.

AUTH: That’s all the important bits done with, so unless you had anything else to do… or say… we can head back.

EN: Coolio. S’pose we’re done ‘ere fer now, aye.

EN takes a look at the notes she’s produced. She has, somehow, ended up drawing a disturbingly photorealistic image of a horse. Beyond that, there’s also some things of actual use, namely some safety warnings about pain, requirement for a blood or blood substitute, and the need to be patient if one’s durability is too high for the altar to crack in one blow.

EN: A’ight, let’s get outta ‘ere. Place stinks.

AUTH: I agree with that sentiment. I don’t want to be here for another second. Let’s go.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

Iawa Brutishace awakens from his respite!

"I'm glad to finally have awakened. What have I missed?"

Brutishace now has some more player customization potential at his disposal! Glad to take advantage of it, Brutishace takes three KP out of his INT stat, then spends 5 CP on the Ace in the Hole perk, assigning Resurrect to it. With his remaining one KP, he invests in Drain Life to give it a Manafuelled level.

[Crafting possibly to come in later]

With the Chaos Butterfly defeated, Irongutta quite suddenly felt himself fading away from consciousness. The edges of his vision went dark, and in the blink of an eye he suddenly felt different once more. Well, a better description would be different from the strange state he was in. In fact, he felt quite normal again.

Irongutta realized he seemed to be back in his own body. His arms and legs felt shaky. If it weren't for the fact that he was already on all fours (thanks to Piggo), he probably would've stumbled. The feeling quickly passed and he returned to his feet.

He heard a loud clattering behind him. Startled by the clamor, he whirled around only to find Piggo zooming towards him. Looks like he dropped the halberd and was spooked by the sound. Piggo reached Irongutta's leg and brushed up against it, snorting happily. "Look at that, Piggo! We're back in our own bodies!" Irongutta wiggled his fingers, regarding them fondly. "Gotta say, I missed 'avin these."

Irongutta scooped up his sapsqueal, comfortably carrying him under one arm. Hazily remembering the course of events that unfolded while he was in Piggo's body moments ago, he felt he ought to tell Omo what happened.

"Oi, Omo! Glad to see nobody's dead after that mess. I don't know wot 'appened exactly, but somehow the Butterfly made me an' Piggo 'ere switch bodies! Gotta tell ya, it was the weirdest thing that's ever 'appened to me."

Though with how the week has been going, he knew his life was only going to get stranger. "There er, shouldn't be anythin' different 'bout me after that, roight? I feel fine an' all that, but I admit this chaos-magic stuff is new territory fer me." Piggo let out a loud snort, possibly sharing a similar level of concern.

==CRAFTING==
Arthur decides to make his Singing Maw a bit more to his liking. (Seriously, what was he thinking, deciding to wear a living mouth that constantly sings, wordlessly and in an unearthly manner, on his head?)

Bubbling Maw
USED: 2 Sulfuric Acid Vials, 2 Yellow Sap Blobs, 1 Whirlpool Cluster, 1 Fluxblood, 2 Everground Flowers, 2 Fluxtainted Fish, 1 Bilespawn Sac.

Arthur carefully chops up a Bilespawn Sac, some Fluxtainted Fish, and adds some Fluxblood, then feeds it to the Maw, watching its entropic nature change the inside of its mouth to be just as corrosion- and acid-resistant as the Bilespawn Sac it ate was. Then, he pours the Sulfuric Acid Vials into a cauldron, adding the Yellow Sap Blobs and stirring them together. The combination makes something that essentially breaks down and renews anything put in it, making it better. He crushes the Everground Flowers into the mixture, adding a touch of their strange nature to the brew. Once the entire thing has mixed together to his satisfaction, he pours it into the Maw’s mouth, smiling in satisfaction as the mouthful of liquid muffles its singing and turns it into a stream of bubbles, further agitating the brew. Once the entire thing is in there, he carefully drops in a Whirlpool Cluster, letting it dissolve into the brew and set it gently whirling around, while also purifying the water and increasing the brew’s potency.

Arthur picks up the Maw and notes in satisfaction how it's already gotten used to the brew in its mouth and adjusts itself to keep any from spilling out, before placing it back on his head.

Bubbling Maw crafted!
Now T5, it stats have changed to:
(+7 MMP) (+6 SPC) (+1 CNT) (Cauldron Mouth) (-1 INT)
[Cauldron Mouth]: As an Item Action, you may feed a consumable item to the Maw. While an item is in the Maw, it gains +50% Damage, Healing, and Status Intensity at regen, once only. Using an item from the Maw consumes an Item Action. Only one item may be in the Maw at a time.

Arthur also decides to equip a Discount Coupon; with that in mind, he takes a Discount Coupon from the inventory and sets about upgrading it as well.

Discount Coupon
Used: 1 Bottled Dream, 5 Gold Ingots, 1 Emerald, 2 Platinum Ingots, 2 Puresilk

Arthur takes a Bottled Dream, which is poured into a larger flask, before he grinds up five Gold Ingots into gold dust and pours it into the flask, swirling it about to let the dream and the dust mix. As it does so, he drops a single emerald into the flask, adding its rich color and quality to the dream, which is slowly absorbing the gold dust and emerald and becoming a dream of wealth. He carefully adds two Platinum Ingots, ground into platinum dust in the same manner as the gold. Once everything has been mixed together, he drops in the Discount Coupon, swirling it about and letting the dream add it in as well, becoming the concept of ‘saving’. Finally, he takes two spools of Puresilk, unspools them, and lays them out on a table, before uncorking the flask of dream and slowly pouring it over the silk. As it slowly pours out and is absorbed by the silk, the silk begins to weave itself into a blank rectangular copy of the original Discount Coupon, before designs of golden and emerald ink appear on it, copying the Discount Coupon Arthur dropped in with extra flourishes to it. As the last bit of dream absorbs into the new, higher-quality coupon, an ornate border of gold and emerald springs into existence around its edges.

Arthur picks up the new silk-woven, gold-and-emerald coupon and admires it for a second, before tucking it away.

Discount Coupon upgraded to T5!
The only change is the addition of a (+1 ANY) to its stats.
[+1 ANY]: May be turned into +1 to any stat but MOV, except for MHP and MMP, which are boosted by 2. (Or, in other words, +1 to any non-MOV stat, or +2 to MHP or MMP.)

==LOGISTICS==
Arthur equips the Armistyx, the Bubbling Maw that he just crafted, and replaces his Overcharged Mana Potion with the Discount Coupon! (The Discount Coupon's +1 ANY goes to RES.) He then swaps the positions of the Discount Coupon and Alchemist's Satchel, just for sheet organization.

He then swaps his Perks to Worshipper, Strong Throwing Arm, and Know How to Use It, before swapping his skillpoints to the following:
1 MHP, 10 MMP, 1 STR, 2 AGI, 13 INT, 10 SKI, 8 RES, 9 SPC.

He then swaps his spells to the following:
Twin Seas/Serpents, First Aid, Shopping Spree, and Confuse Ray!
(It's mostly just a reorganization of spells, with Noxious Plume being replaced by Twin Seas/Serpents.)
