Alright, as soon as I can find a weekend where I will be free to start up DTG:SB, I probably will (I need a free weekend to start it up because it looks lazy if you just post it and then don't update the thread for a day, and I want to get daily updates out for at least a week).
PS: Tazz, if you are having EOTB issues, I suggest a solution: entities act during the post of their controlling player, following their orders. If a player posts but does not have orders, you decide what the entity does (which is likely something not productive). If a player does not post at all, their entities do nothing that round. Entities with no controlling player (such as UserZero's summons and most Hostile entities) act during the (now much shorter) EOTB as before. This has the side effect that your spot in the EOTB order is based on when you post and not on what team you are on.
Crusher, my problem is homework. Last time the attempt to get the skeleton of the update up was what crashed it-I didn't even get halfway through actually getting the skeleton of the update up.
Plus, I really am having homework problems right now. Please wait until Monday-that's when it's likely. Possibly later, though: Honestly, we're getting to the end of the semester and that means that every Teacher is rushing to get every assignment they can think of out.
I'm sorry for the extreme delay on this. This will probably require considerable compensation, as this is starting to get ridiculous, beyond reason.
You're hosting it in Story Debates, right? DTG probably will get popular there, but Story Debates doesn't seem too active. It really depends on how much interest it gets over there, and as I said just last sentence, I get the feeling Spacebattles will get popular over there.
Also make a checklist of how many Worm entities we get over there. I don't really know Spacebattles' community that much, since I don't post that much, but judging by the amount of Worm fanfics, we're going to get a lot of Worm entities.
Also ban ROB, make it so that his abilities have little to no effect, or make him a GM-controlled character, because he's way too much of a wildcard. Everything else is fair game.
The plot is that ROB actually got captured by the godmodder (don't ask how), and if the godmodder is not defeated he will steal ROB's powers and destroy everything (possibly involving a time limit). So ROB won't be a problem, but insanity will be (such as people flinging stormtroopers at insane speeds to blow entities up, and overpowered summons), so the side effect of that is that the OP scale is toned way back there (possibly to the point of a 1-post summon there being equivalent to a 50-post summon here).
In DTG there's no such thing as true omnipotence, the "truly omnipotent" are hard to write, and very, very few writers actually write truly omnipotent characters into their stories. Seriously. It's hard to do.
But in DTG, those who do are omnipotent to one of two extents, either within their universe, at which point they are considered a regular reality warper and either god-level in power, or sometimes universe-eater level in power, or in rare cases, they truly are completely omnipotent, like The Author or The OP King.
I sort of came up with a power level for them, the circle of High Reality Warpers, that basically keep to themselves and keep the other High Reality Warpers in line, and that'd be why the High Reality Warper types haven't wrecked reality yet (I mean, on top of the Narrative and Conflict preventing them from doing so), but since it hasn't really been established in canon yet I suppose that has to wait on verdict from tazz.
You guys seems a little confused, there are no "levels" of omnipotence, omnipotence is the last "level" there is nothing beyond that and there is not something "truly" or "fully" omnipotent, one being is either omnipotent or not, you can't be partially omnipotent by the definition of the term itself.
Yeah, that's true. Btu at the same time, you can't have multiple universes. It means "all of everything" Word drift. In DTG there is no true omnipotence or omniscience. It makes games like this difficult. But there are a lot of people who don't understand quite what omnipotence or omniscience entails or don't care, and when one of us utilizes a work made by an author like that, it necessitates us putting qualifiers on the usage of "omni-" words, however correct it may be.
Just realized I forgot to sub to you. xD

There are even things in-canon that Palutena cannot know or see IIRC

Personally I don't like Spacebattles because I find their vs. section to be laughably bad and that's all that matters to me
@Crusher You can't capture an omnipotent being. ROB is a true omnipotent, not some fake-o Homestuck "omnipotent"

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.
That's just stupid, and bad writing in general, and it REALLY bugs me when people try to use that as an excuse.

Personality flaws don't equal good character.
It is how they deal with personality flaws is a good way to make a character.
You can have all the flaws you want but all it makes them is imperfect.

A enterprising godmodder's guide to capturing a Random Omnipotent Being:
1) Contact the ROB.
2) Dare/Trick/Convince the entity into using its unlimited power to nullify its abilities.
3) If the entity cannot do this, it is not truly omnipotent. If it does, it loses its power.
4) Capture the powerless ROB using ???.
5) Profit!
