I have Tourrettes, haven't been able to go to school for three months, and need to try and make up all that work as quick as I can, all while not being able to focus because of the constant shaking, which has also somehow given me insomnia to boot.
In DTG there's no such thing as true omnipotence, the "truly omnipotent" are hard to write, and very, very few writers actually write truly omnipotent characters into their stories. Seriously. It's hard to do.
But in DTG, those who do are omnipotent to one of two extents, either within their universe, at which point they are considered a regular reality warper and either god-level in power, or sometimes universe-eater level in power, or in rare cases, they truly are completely omnipotent, like The Author or The OP King.
I sort of came up with a power level for them, the circle of High Reality Warpers, that basically keep to themselves and keep the other High Reality Warpers in line, and that'd be why the High Reality Warper types haven't wrecked reality yet (I mean, on top of the Narrative and Conflict preventing them from doing so), but since it hasn't really been established in canon yet I suppose that has to wait on verdict from tazz.
I do NOT consider the OP King nor the Author omnipotent. Or even close-powerful yes, but NOT omnipotent. The only legitimately Omnipotent being (or NIGH-omnipotent, as close as it could feasibly get) is the Black Monolith (Unite, the only other contender, is theoretical), and that's more of a construct than a living entity (given that it'll do whatever) and still technically has limits. Everything else is below the standard in some manner.
Trying to use Omnipotence to it's full potential sounds like a very good way to roll a 1 on the Paradox Dice.
I agree, basically based on Talist's argument but also because (the very theoretical) Unite was only omnipotent BECAUSE she was effectively a thinking paradox and even she thought that it was rather absurd for her to exist without some higher power.
In any case, I will admit that I have been avoiding the update. I'll admit: At some point I just kind of lost my energy for this whole thing, in part because of Omega Flowey and its summon and all the chaos its caused-after the disaster that was the last attempted update I was really unhappy with trying to repeat it-and also, because OF really wasn't good for the game itself. I have said MUCH about it, to the summoners themselves no less, on why OF was perhaps one of the worst ideas for a summon in a LONG time, and not just from an RP perspective either; mechanically the invulerability frames were pains to work with even in theory. I have talked with the summoners and they have agreed that something must be done-otherwise this game might go on for over two years...Optimistically. Realistically, possibly over 3 before hitting the endgame.
Now, what that something is, for the rest of you, will be a surprise. OF isn't going to up and vanish into the Void, I'll say that much.
One other thing upcoming: Entity re-balancing. And not in a particuarily good way for those who liked entities that stuck around for a long while or required time to get rolling: Entity offense is being buffed around teh board without a likewise buff to defense: for quantitative terms, the average is 1K more damage per 10K HP, or by the stnadards of a 50 post charge, 25K damage. We need this game to go faster than it is, or we'll be playing it longer than DTG2-and if we're unlucky that could be all Pre-Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil and all beyond are the endgame events and while lesser in number than, say, Act 4 and the Trials, they're not going to be breezed through with a magical leaf blower or such either.
I really hate delays like this, and for this long is probably a record, but I'm determined to have DTG0 finish strong. I do NOT want to be the reason DTG0 dies.

Yeah, I know they aren't completely omnipotent, and I guess they aren't even within their own source material, so scratch that I guess. They were near omnipotent within the source material, which still makes them pretty darn strong within the world of DTG, but, like you said, within DTG's hierarchy, they've been demoted a fair bit.
I noticed a sneaky little trick from UserZero: I need to use charge points to recover the corrupted data, but once I do, I lose the ability to actually damage the godmodder with anything resulting from the corrupting data due to the rule charge charges can NEVER damage a godmodder. So the only way to solve this would be a mega-post large enough to bypass that limit via excessive creativity. And I have far better uses for mega-attacks, like overwhelming the godmodders' defenses with many attacks at once.
Honestly, it seems like there is absolutely no point for entities or charges in general if they can't damage godmodders at all. At the very least, if a team gets 250 charge points of built-up entities (or a massive single charged attack) and has little opposition, the entities should be able to charge a combo attack to damage the enemy godmodder.

I believe the rule was 'much less likely.' In any case, I will straight-up say most great efforts do not damage the Godmodder at all, but confer OTHER, major benefits. Trust me when I say that you will be thanking yourself later for it.
If UserZero has an entity advantage large enough, she's invulnerable until you fix the issue. Having an entity advantage pushes UserZero back to Yggdrasil as well, and Yggdrasil IS the Endgame-even if UserZero has like half of her HP left or something. Also, again, I haven't said that it's impossible for them to do so...Just, so unlikely it's legitimately stupid to think it'll be remotely consistent. Treat it as if I just said no but understand that it's only like that because the times when it's actually a thing through the whole of DTG can be counted on one hand.
I mean, it's in the name: the OP king-OverPowered King. Overpowered and omnipotent are two entirely different things.
A character who can survive a planet busting explosion is overpowered. A character who can survive any explosion of any size in any location, along with being able to cause such explosions, is omnipotent. Speaking of, how do you create a close-to-omnipotent character?
Make a character than can do anything except make a single triangle with nothing else around it.
Personally, I'm neutral on this. Let's see how the trailer/teasers look before arguing about this.
My reaction:
(I have officially chosen to use this text color for OOC to stop confusing people. Don't judge me.)
EDIT: I combed through the site using inspectelement to see if there was other things. found that the image is titled "project.JPG", a bunch of HTML code saying <font 5ize=7> (changed s to 5 to avoid messing things up in text) that only layers (the last two cases change the fourth to a 3 and the fifth to a 2, and <text="ee82ee"> in the third layer of fontsize that displays nothing. In case you're wondering, ee82ee looks like this in terms of color.
Featuring plot twists we should've seen coming, me being incompetent because comedy, and the twist that PitTheAngel didn't write or post this post on the forums! I did! And I'm not even REEEEEALLLLLLL!
I'm staring at my screen right now.
you're ruining my fun here
Screw your fun, I'm trying to think HOW any of this is happening!
Gonna be hopping back in as soon as the updop finishes...
...not that there was much from the previous time I was here, honestly.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

His name is Saitama and considering that he is incredibly weaker than, say, Superman we can consider a low power level, he might be way stronger than a human, but ultimately he can't warp reality and that's what these wars are about, he would be killed by the weakest reality warper around.
Yes! I finally got in! I had a bit of trouble at first because it automatically got marked as spam (I don't think Uzi wanted me to join XD) but it's good to actually arrive. And I know Alpha's a dangerous name round these parts, so I put that bit as part of his backstory. Quick note to those in the ongoing TVT2 game: For my characters, this is happening after the events of that because they traveled back in time, so, obviously, spoilers.

No. No it is not.

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.

Wait, what is One Punch Man's power level in the DTG universe, relatively?

The coin of duality spins for eternity...
For most, a beginning. For us, a continuation.
Could we please not have so many /null posts and placeholders on the main thread? Especially when things aren't even done yet...
Also, Alphazoid, technically DTG0 is way before TvT2, but whatever. Time travel fixes everything.
There's a difference between a hero and a champion. A champion overcomes threats, but a hero overcomes fears.
