I liked SBaHJ, but that's personal bias. I also liked Regnum Dei.

Having a fight against engie would be interesting... It wouldn't be a regular fight, you'd be like, trying to survive his attacks because he decides to test you, but if you pass them he joins your group.

The UOSS, OWAK, the Felt, and the Four Horsemen.

The UOSS. And the Everyman but I made him and I made him one turn ago. So yeah. The UOSS.

For basic enemies, Tabletop Soldiers and Chair-Knights could be cool.
(Constructs from earlier on could be nice, too.)

For boss-enemies, Lord Dome, OWAKS: all of them are cool.

The Vord could make an interesting special round, maybe give the player a massive powerup and let them nuke a few thousand bugs. Other than that I support Piono's suggestion of Engie testing you.

I support the idea as well.

Engie would be interesting. I fully support it. I will be glad to playtest the game.

I also support the idea of me testing you.

But of course. I would also, at some point, like to see an artist's impression of True Form you fighting stuff without holding back. Given that you could eat everyone and everything else in DTG within a second, whatever you were fighting would have to be mean.

Heh. Now that, I would love to see. In fact, I might even write a little story about it, if I end up feeling like it.

Honestly, I disagree. It wasn't the most well-executed idea in practice, but again, it doesn't require any outside forces to work. Scratch had the Disc of Mojang, which was not beyond the 4th wall and henceforth isn't bound by the Scratch (irony). Effectively, he may have gotten one lucky hit, but it clearly did no damage. However, the Godmodder couldn't do jack against the Disc, especially since Psi was ultimately killed by it-and he probably knew this from firsthand experience. As for actually taking it from the 1st Block, he had the Quills and gave it a percise scratching-no Narrative power required. I also think that the Disc, among other things, is a narrative backdoor DESIGNED to subvert the Narrative as an emergency measure.

That, and though it might be a control freak, I think the Narrative is otherwise generally benevolent. just playing an unbelievably long game where it can't get everyone to win.

As for entities: Anything with the word 'Boss' on it is good, with the more dangerous/important bosses story-wise (Lord English, Paradox Dimentio, Glitch Binary, Final Wave Mechs) being harder than the less important ones (1st Wave Mechs, Grandmatriarch Army, Psycho Waluigi),. Use Ninja's Constructs and TIE-Fighters (or TIE-Figher Expies) for two varieties of basic mooks.

@tazz: its been established through the plot, even before twin picked up my idea and began running with it that the Narrative is either neutral, or flat out malevolent. It hates anything that tests its power, and an artifact like the disc of mojang wouldn't be a Narrative back door. The Narrative is the ultimate thing in the multiverse. It wouldn't be fitting to even be able to target it within the original trilogy (yes, even at the end of the next game).
There'd need to be some sort of grand finale to the entire FRANCHISE to even THINK about harming the Narrative. Its off-handedly IN ITS SLEEP keeping the Author out of Godcraft, established to be the second most powerful being in the multiverse at this current point in time. Second only to the Narrative itself.

@k4yne: Maybe even have standard Minecraft mobs as the things you grind for exp at the very beginning of the game. The Preston Cole would make either an amazing location or boss monster, and a fight against Phobos wouldn't hurt either. Oh, at some point insert goes full trickster and you have to beat him up! That'd be awesome.

That's perfectly fine. Now it is on the Forge as well. Regarding the RPG, I support the 'defeat Trickster Generic' thing, probably because I despise the jokebollocks on an absurd level incomprehensible to normal people.

As do I. Amp/Zand exist in a constant state of semi-Grimdark, I don't like Trickster shenanigans.
