I don't know, I seem to have done fine climbing that ladder by basically flailing my limbs at anything vaguely enemy-like. I mean I'm obviously not too high up on the more abstract ladder, but I feel like I should be a bit high up?

Given that I basically did the same thing as Net, but with slightly less godmodding and no attempt to pull a char from a different game, how high have I managed to climb?
{Incidentally, I get the IDMG noep, but HEX is from Discworld, why is he precluded? Just because he's ever been used elsewhere?}
Well, here's the thing guys, my analysis of how it works is this:
You don't get to make the rules until you've already been playing by everyone else's for a while.
Generic, you're higher up because you're good at coming up with strong attacks and directing them where they won't get blocked. Also, the whole trickster thing, so that helps with the echeladder. I think in terms of the abstract scale you're near the front of the pack, but you're not out with the leaders like engie, me and erelye.
Same to you amp, its the godmodding that's been giving net problems. He's been spending his time trying to force his way into other peoples' sub-plots and battles, instead of following the set rules for how its engaging. He's godmodding, making an entire chain of actions and characterizations based on the assumption of no one else being able to even slow him down, the closest most of the rest of us come to that is attempting to pull off an elaborate chain attack, and even that can really just be considered a single action.
Proof? The entire fiasco with him attempting to break into Greyhold. Net, you might have made some progress had you just done things one at a time and actually LISTENED to erelye's counters instead of trying to brute force your way through.
I don't know why twin's been flipping out about HEX and the IDMG (net's HEX is from EvE), well, I know the reason he's given, but I don't know why its such a horrible thing, given that technically the OP King was from another forum game originally as well, and creating OCs is more prone to abuse than drawing in characters from other games, especially since OCs from other games not only have to follow the rules of DTG, but those of the other forum game as well, making them more limited. But whatever.
But, yeah. You two and maniac are all in a similar boat to net. To make up a potentially really stupid metaphor, you have a really big gun you want to use against an enemy port, but the recoil is stupidly huge, and you're stuck in a rowboat. You guys decided to disguise the gun as 'cargo' until you got into the port, and blew everything apart from the mountain range behind it. Net's trying to hit the port from his rowboat and blowing himself back out to open ocean while completely failing to hit any significant targets. To extend the metaphor a little, maniac snuck his way into port, but pulled the gun out too early and smashed his rowboat into the docks on accident, but he's at least in a position where he can set the gun up properly. Depends on if he can get that storyline of his worked up properly, looking forward to it honestly, but I digress.
Anyway, the problem net is that you're trying to unleash stupidly huge attacks before you've built up credibility. You'll notice that even though engie's character is more powerful, erelye's character is more effective? That's because erelye's better at playing by the rules. In terms of pure combat-stats effectiveness, erelye's probably currently the top player. I hold a good deal of weight story-wise, but I think that mainly comes from the fact that I'm more familiar with the story as a whole (to the franchise) than pretty much anyone else at this point, not so much from competence as luck, but I still had to work my way there. You see the stuff I did earlier... and I'm rambling now and probably going to offend someone if I continue on at this point.
Man, I'm tired. Anyways. I think I might try to condense that and trim off the excess fluff later, but for now, I think that monstrosity will just have to sit there.
Also:
Why the heck do we have three level 11 players but still only two level 10 players? Seriously.

You do have a point. Technically, the OP King really shouldn't be allowed either. I realized that when I was talking to Netpatham. But to be fair, the OP King hardly shows up anymore, so it's not as big of a problem.
He still shows up, and has an effect, it really isn't fair to keep net from having HEX. I still don't think I've heard a decent reason. I'm really just too tired to waste energy arguing that point though, even though the OP King has already been plot critical to things going on with piono.
Although, admittedly within DTG canon he's not from OP King, but from Eric's fantasy novels, but that's aside the point.

Well, to be fair, the OP King in your forum game didn't really have that much characterization and was sort of a replica of the Godmodder. But in DTG2, he recieved his own backstory and plotline, to the point where he's basically his own character. That's another reason I let him stay. But HEX is from another forum game and is basically a carbon copy of said character from that forum game.

I really don't think I am the most effective player. I have, as of this very second, dealt approximately zero lasting damage to the Godmodder. Therefore, I am one of the least effective players, by game objective.

Well, the Godmodder takes damage by having his summons destroyed. Also, I don't think the game will be much about the Godmodder from now on. What with the Arrival and all.

Excuse me. Direct damage.
In any case, I would like to state that the thing that made me dislike HEX and the IDMG so profusely was likely the bit about intrusion and barging in on of plotlines. To state the most prominent, the drone that was supposedly capable of entering the stream of slipspace Eric, Serpent, and I were in, and expecting it to function. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, were the arguments on magical theory. Do you know how many HOURS I SPENT typing those responses, just to have him say "that is completely irrelevant," or "our magic systems are different?!" The term magic system in its entirety is ridiculous when used in-thread. The usage of different catalysts to produce different arcane results is a FAR more accurate designation. Then, as Piono stated, the bit about the attempted intrusion of Grayhold. The entire affair was pointless, just an attempt to establish that he had control over me. This time, I used pure logic to defeat him, asking questions about the internal decoration and arcane content of the fortress, very well knowing he could not answer the questions. He was UTILIZING my own knowledge to attempt to defeat me the entire time. Then, when I even mention doing the same thing in-character with PARAGRAPHS of detail, he brushes it off, making up some malformed, contradictory response about not being able to see within. I am quite certain my small ESSAY would enable me to see within the place, while his SENTENCE would not. Same thing with my threats about invasion. The contents of Grayhold, as displayed innumerable times within DTG, are quite capable withstanding the attacks of those magi for long enough to break the metaphorical IDMG door down. Next, can you GUESS what he does? After I had clearly made a point that I wanted nothing to do with him, Netpatham SPECIFICALLY attacks off the back of MY ATTACKS. To the most of my knowledge, I was the only victim of such an occurrence. THIS was quite irritating, as whoever is bothering to read this rant may assume. Is it really so difficult to USE YOUR IMAGINATION?! Finally, the IDMG, to me, feel like a cheap imitation of Grayhold, with far less anarchy, and more M/Gary Sue-ness. A near-perfect planet of magi, all sharing similar beliefs and ideals, all acting in tandem without political instability or apparent poverty? Nearly impossible. The truth is, there are always going to be people who disagree with you, and you are probably not going to be able to change their minds. There is always going to be oppression, war, knowledge-lusting to the point of people committing horrific acts to obtain something or reach a goal, and horrible, horrible things in the world which will be theoretically avoidable, which is coincidentally what the entirety of Vetasian history is based off of, and by extent Alternian and human. And, just a page ago, he was ANTAGONIZING me over all this.
I apologize profusely if I have offended anybody, but this is how I feel the events should be examined, albeit through a biased lens.

On the Richeladder, I don't really feel like it's exactly the best metric, as that would cause some incredibly weird restructuring on a fundamental level, and also some people may have left since dealing damage to him, which makes it even weirder.
Anyways I suppose I'm actually pretty glad I'm not too far up, yet slightly disappointed. I also haven't really established myself as having that much power outside of of tossing around HIGHLY POWERFUL AND DANGEROUS alchemies and generally flailing my arms under a bedsheet like a mentally challenged ghost.
Anyways regarding the Rantpatham, he does seem a bit Sue-like, possibly with desires for Black-Hole status, dragging everybody screaming into his Sue Event Horizon. And he did copy Cobalt's test of deadliness thing, albeit a bit more code-based.
... Completely unrelated to the last three things, and I hesitate to even mention it... but Twin, you forgot to log my damage.
Today on Pesterchum, there was a person on the official memo (#DTG2) who went by the name of notTwin. He did not reveal his actual identity, and his comments mainly consisted of trolling, poking fun at the Godmodder, players, and most importantly, myself. I know that he is a member of this forum because he called the Godmodder "Richie Richard", and I know that he is someone here who frequents Pesterchum, since he knows the behavior of some other frequenters (not naming anyone).
To give you an idea of what was going on, whenever anyone asked him who he was, he would always reply "NOT TWIN". Whenever I tried to talk to him, he would block me. He spoke in riddles and was infuriatingly annoying.
Because of this, I know there's only a few people it could be: TT2000, fseftr, Netpatham, CobaltShade, gutza1, pionoplayer, generic, The_Serpent, Modpack, and Tazz. I am asking each and every one of you to do me a favor. If you are notTwin, you are to step up and tell me BY January 1, the New Year. Even if you are NOT someone listed above and you actually ARE notTwin, you are do to the same.
If you don't, I am not posting for five days. That is my ultimatum to you. No compromise.
You are all saved. fseftr has come clean and told me he is indeed notTwin. Hooray for you all. Since he talked to me, I will not punish anyone. For any interested, I'll send you a log of the incident. Just send me a PM.
Seriously, if you're notTwin, come forward and I may be persuaded to not hate you for eternity for making our benevolent God-Emperor threaten us with 5 DAYS OF INACTIVITY!

I had explicit permission from Cobalt to administer said test. Aye ye YI. Is everything I do going to be turned against me?
And, seriously, RANTPatham? Am I really? I don't THINK I am, but then again you're often blind to how stupid you are.
Those other things? Maybe but I really don't want to check TVTropes to make sure.

Sorry Twin. I am going on the record as saying that it is not me. I have absolutely no way of going on Pesterchum right now, and as such would like to ask for exemption from any investigation. Also, "Richie Richard"? That is kind of a dumb insult/nickname, and I also kind of want a pesterlog. Not gonna lie.
Re: NP, I am sorry for accusing you because of reasonable conclusions, but why didn't you just freaking ask Erelye for permission in that case. Like seriously.
