I say, out-of-character, its worth a shot. Similar things have worked, for all we know, it might even get Bill Cipher on our team AGAINST Binary, which would be extremely useful, as that would make Bill and Binary on equal footing, Bill would have more power, but Binary would have more experience, and I highly doubt that Bill would turn against us were we to make that deal with him.

The potion does not sound like a good idea, but I certainly support other forms of healing. If it comes to "We can rebuild him!", I can help.

We'll try just pumping Bill's Eye full of life energy via whatever methods we can. The Cueballs don't work right now-Binary's fogging them up, so the Magic Cuebrain might not work either. I want the solution to be fairly direct. I'm also not going to allow you to make additional deals. Bill will be more likely to accept if the deal seems fair, or lopsided in his favor.

There are 8 who (officially) vote to heal. We need 9. I'd rather confirm Granger will be willing to go along with the idea. We'll implement it NEXT turn, because some of us already used up all of our posts. Once I've got 9 votes,I will make a deal with Bill, and everyone should just follow suit and say "I will help the attempt to heal Bill's eye" or whatever. The Deal will ensure that A ) We will attempt to heal Bill's eye, B ) IF SUCCESSFUL, Bill will be bound to leave GodCraft and the Trifecta and never again influence events there, C ) due to events, if the healers or bill die the deal is immediately off for obvious reasons, so any Healers or Bill will be protected throughout the whole turn and cannot be targeted-we can still target others of opposing faction, though. Lastly, D ) if any party member intentionally sabotages the deal, the offended party will immediately be given what he came for in exhcange for nothing-Bill will be forced to flee without a healed eye if he broke the deal, and we would be forced to heal it without binding Bill away from GodCraft and the Trifecta if we broke it.

Sound fairly even?

Fairly even, yes. I would much rather do this than kill him, and not just because it would be difficult.

I tend to believe that Bill is bound to follow the terms of a Deal he has made.

He's not.

In "Sock Opera", an episode of Gravity Falls, Bill made a deal with Dipper Pines, the main character. He told Dipper he'd give him the password to a laptop that contained information crucial to Dipper's quest in uncovering the mysteries of Gravity Falls if Dipper gave him a puppet. Dipper accepted, and it was revealed that Bill intended to use Dipper's body as a "puppet", so that Bill could control it. Bill, in Dipper's body, proceeded to trash the laptop. Bill didn't hold up his end of the deal.

He "could help" with it. It feels like he wouldn't be so cagey with his wording if he wasn't bound to it.

Bill has a history of following deals through to the letter...Considering what Nimble just said, we just have to be cautious about wording. Assuming we're good about Exact Words and are careful about wording it, we'll...OK, totally fine is never a guarantee in these kinds of situations, but we're more likely to not have it horribly backfire. Let's put it that way. Barring that, copious amounts of order majjyks to force him to obey-and us to obey as well. I have a lawyer on speed dial, just in case.

In any case, do you have any disagreements with the idea OOC, Granger? You can just pull OOC is Serious Business and help. I think the circumstances would make total sense. If that's not going to work, Tazz can arrange a few deals with you.

He didn't even say anything about a hint. "I can help you, kid," doesn't even meaningfully promise anything. So we would need to get something along the lines of a binding word, "will" instead of "might."

Yeah, that was my point, Bill's good at talking you out of using Exact Wording correctly, but he does seem to have to follow it. Just get a well-worded promise out of him, and we might be fine.

Personally, I think that he IS bound to the deals, and he just found a loophole.

My point exactly. I'm not sure if we can make the deal ourselves, as I'll try to give him the offer and not the other way around, but I know he REALLY wants his omniscience back. I don't have many qualms with killing him, so he could be more willing to accept our variation on it if it means we're bound. This, and the fact he's currently NOT omniscient, means we could at least work the deal in our favor somewhat.

Okay, tazz. I can see a problem with the deal already as you described it.
You need to specify the offense, it has to be true intentional physical damage on the part of someone involved in the deal.
You need to make it clear that damage caused by Binary or other people not part of the deal can't nullify the contract, otherwise someone's gonna do something stupid (as always happens) and Bill's not gonna be obliged to do anything.
And you need to make it clear (as with before's leaving no loopholes) that it has to be a successful attack that deals damage that was meant to deal damage in order to count as that offense, otherwise Bill might 'take offense' at someone saying something 'offensive'.
Finally, you need to make it clear that if Binary mind-controls or forces someone into hurting Bill, it doesn't count.

it's stuff like that that'll allow us to get this deal right. I'm going to make sure of this.

C will be revised to if we INTENTIONALLY AIM to harm either party. Attacking or being attacked by anyone else is fair game. IN addition, any mind manipulation or attack misdirection to harm others will not work, and it must PHYISCALLY harm the attacker, being offended by an insult or anything similar doesn't count. In addition, I just thought of this: B will be revised to that Bill must also not intentionally influence events within the Trifecta enough to matter, and that goes double for the world(s) of Minecraft, and goes triple for GodCraft.

Well, physical harm is far from the worst thing that could be done, but that does sound like a good way of preventing it, to my non-lawyer-y brain.

Who knows, I might want to make some deals later. Some deals that will end up being detrimental. Point is, I say we revise B ever so slightly to make room for 'enough to matter immensely or to affect others in a major way.' Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

I have a better idea: He cannot influence events, but if anyone wants to strike a deal with him later that would contradict this and we've given him enough time (a year), then we can make it and he can come back.

So, in full, the potential deal is:

A ) All willing healers, collectively referred to here as The Healing Squad, consisting of only fully willing Players who would wish to heal Bill Cipher's eye and who have signed the contract to become members of The Healing Squad, will attempt to fully heal Bill Cipher's blinded eye. Fully healing constitutes full function of the eye that will not be impeded by any force nor be temporary enough as to stop functioning within a year or sooner, bar any intentional harm by outside parties that The Healing Squad has not intentionally sent to harm Bill Cipher's eye. Any intentional attempt to harm or sabotage the healing of Bill Cipher's by The Healing Squad's members will count as a breach of contract-this being defined as any action that would impede the healing process or otherwise bring unneeded and fully intentional harm to Bill Cipher. There will only be one healing attempt-a pure blast of Life energies, proven to not have any harmful side-effects in excess, direct to the blinded eye. If the attempt fails and it is not a breach of contract, part B will not be enforced, but otherwise the contract will still stand. Any harmful side effects (designated as causing physical and/or mental pain and/or damage of a severe sort, or otherwise weakening or limiting the overall powers and abilities of Bill Cipher) caused by the healing of the eye that were inevitable due to the method used to heal on part of The Healing Squadron is not a breach of contract, but only those side-effects. Otherwise, any side-effects are considered a breach of contract. Due to outside conditions, the healing will only be attempted once-any further healings, even by members of The Healing Squad, are not bound by the terms and conditions of this contract.

B ) If the healing is successful and Bill Cipher's eye is brought to full function, Bill Cipher is to immediately leave GodCraft and any other universes designated as being a part of 'Universe C' and the cluster of universes that GodCraft and 'Universe C' belong to, AKA the Trifecta, in the past, present or future. Bill Cipher cannot come back under any instance, bar future willing arrangements made by both parties mentioned herein (The Healing Squadron and Bill Cipher). Bill Cipher, in addition, cannot intentionally influence events in GodCraft, Universe C, and/or The Trifecta at all, barring direct contact by members of The Healing Squad and future arrangements made by them. If Bill Cipher is to break any of these rules, it is a breach of contract. If a future document at least 1 year after a successful healing is to override these rules and is in effect, then Bill Cipher is excused, but otherwise he is bound by this contract and cannot go back.

C ) As a show of goodwill, all members of The Healing Squad and Bill Cipher will cease attacking one another, effective from the signing of this contract until, in the case of a failed healing, 30 seconds from all member's perspectives after the healing attempt, or, in the case of a successful healing, 1 year from all member's perspectives after the healing attempt. Any intentional and successful attempt to physically and/or mentally harm Bill Cipher in any serious or lasting way by official members of The Healing Squad, or vice-versa, will be considered a breach of contract. If Bill Cipher or any official members of The Healing Squad are mentally hijacked by any outside parties and forced to attack will not be a breach of contract; the attack must be of their own free will, wholly intentional, and wholly successful; in addition, any breach of part A by harming Bill Cipher is also a breach of part C. Any successful and intentional attacks by any outside parties, regardless of any affiliation The Healing Squad or Bill Cipher may have towards them, is not a breach of contract; the same applies to any attacks against the aforementioned outside parties.

D ) Any breach of contract in any of the aforementioned parts will be met with the following conditions: The offenders will immediately follow through with their agreed-upon parts without having to uphold any part of the contract themselves: In case The Healing Squad breached contract, they would be forced to attempt to Heal Bill Cipher's eyeball, obeying all rules outlined above in section A, and forcibly bound to do so via Order majjyks; In case Bill Cipher breached contract, he would be immediately forced to obey part B to the letter, without first receiving healing from his eye, and forcibly bound to do so via Order majjyks. If the breach of contract repeats a second time by the same offender, or the order majjyks have somehow been terminated, the offending party will be subject to immediate death by Glitch or Universe Eater, whichever is most convenient at the time.

Deal. Unless my reading of this four times over has been fruitless, I see no flaws that would impede progress. Unless we all die next turn.
