I also preview my two ongoing alchemies' descriptions.
I blast Split with a massive amount of blood oranges, supercharging his connection to the Red Sun! (Because oranges are associated with the sun, and blood oranges are red... You know what, I toss in that miniature mote of Red Sun plasma I saved from my first action this turn. One of them should work.)
Returning to Saucery, I pull out the Windsor Pan of the Source, the most powerful saucepan available, and summon all the Sauceror buffs I can get around the Owl Effigy. An Antibiotic Saucesphere to patch it up, an Elemental Saucesphere to protect it, a Jalapeño Saucesphere to protect it further, and a layer of Scarysauce to spook Scratch away from attacking it, or at least weaken his attacks a bit. The overall effect is very clashy and smells horrible from all the different sauces mixing, but protection and healing spares no expense. Well, I could've just summoned a classic Protect/Shell combo, but where's the fun in that?
Another +2 to Tazz for the Sun. Danke sehr, merci beaucoup, etc.

I take out the Roleplay Slayer's Halberd, and for some reason I show up from the future and cut my leg off with it. I'd probably be in more pain if I wasn't a robot. Anyways I take my leg and shove it into my inventory. I'll probably do something with that later. I then try to find out what the combination of the RPSH and Broken Anachronism would even be, as well as attaching a peg leg to myself for the moment. I then take out the Ultrafield and use it on myself and the Owl Effigy, and throw Artery's Octet at something weakly because I can.

50/50!
+1 to Amp x2.
I draw Real Nightmare suddenly, diving into the crowd of skeletons manifold. I immediately make the most logical choice. Flash-stepping into the crowd, I instantly decapitate several Archers with a sweeping wave of telekinetic force exuded by the blade of pure shadow. Their corpses are consumed by shadows before they hit the ground. Without waiting for any signs of the nigh-instantaneous death of the lesser undead creatures, I flash-step over to some Officials. These opponents are slightly more durable. But not by much. With that, I proceed to impale an Official on Real Nightmare, waiting for the blade to sink through the animated skeleton before drawing it out. I cannot exactly say whether or not this will slay it, but I am reasonably certain it will. Nonetheless, I shall prepare for every contingency. Immediately, the Official collapses to the ground, large amounts of violet energy pouring out of it, quite clearly dead. If I inexplicably slew the aforementioned Official with my first strike utilizing Real Nightmare, this attack affects another Official. Regardless of whether any of those attacks actually slew anything, I disappear in a flash of amethyst light. Immediately coinciding with such an event, a figure composed entirely of amethyst energy appears behind an Official. As the energy settles to form my person once more, Real Nightmare pierces the back of the Official almost instantaneously. You know, this would be far more noticeable, and likely more fatal, if these beings were actually alive. Still, deconstruction will annihilate these creatures, and release their souls, if my information is correct. I wouldn't exactly say I devote the vast majority of my time to necromantic study. If I had the time, I might, but this is not the case. Well, that, and the fact that I am currently fighting to return to my body in another universe. Rather, my original body. Anyhow, I channel the shadow energy within Real Nightmare. My sanity is fine, thank you very much. I'm quite capable of slaying Shadow Creatures. The shadows of the skeletons nearby begin to stir, twitching and pulsating occasionally. Suddenly, the shadows leap up, and consume several skeletons completely and utterly, only leaving behind the souls necessary to better combat the Lich. I do hope this Lich is a mage. I might learn something from it if it is, and that is certainly something I would like to do. I flash-step into a crowd of Skeleton Guardians, wielding Real Nightmare in one hand, and a Minium Stone in the other. Flame briefly bursts off of the red stone, before subsiding over a period of milliseconds. I stab another Guardian as another slowly disintegrates, due to the fact that it is currently being transmuted into what appears to be a large amount of some dark teal liquid. Tutamen essentia. This will certainly prove to be useful. Bursts of flame pulse off of the Minium Stone as I continue to dismember the other Guardian. Other Guardians disintegrate into more Tutamen. With a thought, the stuff disappears. Suddenly, a large amount of Tutamen essentia appears around the Owl Effigy, before exploding into a highly effective arcane shield. That is what Tutamen is gathered from. Armor, and shields.
I alchemize Book && Warded Cognitio Jar && Necromantic Bone (1/???). Perhaps I can learn a thing or two about liches, or, at the very least, necromancy.
Grayhold Citadel, 15:31
In room exceptionally far away from both Astria and Eric, a golem stands, scrutinizing a candle-filled Infusion Altar chamber. Well, there are some skulls and crystals as well, but primarily candles. The golem is composed of Thamium, with a large amount of Voidmetal plating, pulsating violet psionic energy. It appears to have received a telepathic order directly from the Lord-Archmage. A number of objects line the pedestals of the Infusion Altar. Rather odd. Amber, Enchanted Fabric, Scribing Tools, a Primal Charm, and Nitor. What appears to be a sphere of some cold, gray, dense-looking metal. Corotite, if you did not already guess. Essentia Reservoirs in the walls are fully prepared to fuel an infusion. The golem awkwardly, as if under some sort of mind control (hah), picks a Void Aspected Silverwood Wand up off of a table nearby, and flourishes it in the direction of the Runic Matrix. The runes upon the Matrix immediately glow aubergine, and the Matrix begins to spin faster. Bubbles of essentia flow forth from the Reservoirs, entering the core of the Matrix. After several tense minutes, the essentia finishes flowing into the Matrix. The Altar immediately begins to consume the five ingredients on the surrounding pedestals. After it does so, the sphere of corotite is obscured in a flash of aubergine sparks. When the sparks clear, the sphere is covered in runes, carved into the object in a plethora of esoteric patterns, glowing some dim yellow-orange. It disappears in a flash of violet light.
Meanwhile, in the Boneyard, I extend my hand. A crystal ball-sized sphere of corotite inscribed with runes appears within my palm in a flash of amethyst light. Hah. I immediately utilize the sphere. Dim yellow runes encircle me, and possibly the other AG-s, if this is not too powerful to be utilized by over one person. I/we all obtain large amounts of runic shielding. Well, I already had some, but I digress. The shielding starts off uncharged. It will build at a rate of about 10% each turn, if that is acceptable. When it reaches 100%, the wards and spells actually become functional. If one receives a normally-fatal blow when runic shielding is at 100%, they will survive with approximately 1 HP, resetting the charge level of the shielding. Is this balanced, Twin?

I immediately fly into the Red Sun by use of the Warp Ring. IT REALLY BLEEPING HURTS!!! Mercifully, I did it in such a manner that I did not die instantly, merely set on fire and burnt to an inch of my life...I come back with a whooping one hitpoint, but I burn with the very real fires of the very real Red Sun, allowing me to quickly transfer them to Split and significantly empower him before I horribly die of setting myself on fire by FLYING INTO THE RED SUN! Did I mention it hurt? Because it did, and very badly!
I decide that, since Scratch had warned Generic about giving him a ban (even if it did utterly nothing in the long run), that he's due for a Banhammer spree or something roughly similar, and I get in front of him with my one HP in a wild attempt to tank his petty rage, which was probably ignited for pointing out that, of all things to possibly have in his dark pockets that his omniscience cannot discern, one of them was spelling ubiquitous right. Which I'm quite interested in as well. How come his Green Sun self could see that one but not his new Red Sun self? I use this as further channel for his rage, hopefully shielding an AG entity from his attack in the EoTB. I will not like what wrath I have just incurred.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot. I quickly summon the Light Mimes of the Illuminati due to somehow being the Miming Master of the Illuminati. How I got this position is related to the Squid Ink Incident-no more needs to be said. Why I have kept it...This is because I am the only mime capable of harnessing the dangerous powers of mime while talking and without the standardized wear of the mimes. My powers are too good to waste, even if outside of those distinctions they are no better than any other. They come in groups of three on mimed tricycles, quickly forming a horde, the double-enemy of the Dark Carnival and Aerosol Cans. They are fortunately more benevolent than they appear and definitely more benevolent than the mimes Scratch used, those particular mmimes being consumed by the powers of the Dark Miming arts, which are in fact no better than the Light Miming Arts, merely creepier. These mimes are users of the Light Miming Arts and are therefore much nicer. They see the Owl Effigy, politely bow to it in respect, and get to work, using the power of ethereal Light Miming to create an impenetrable miming construct! The power of mimes is infinite, eternal, incredible, and covers several elemental powers, including Reality! In any case, they quickly manage their work, which looks completely transparent but is in fact a massive Mime Fortress, complete with invisible cannoneers manning invisible cannons and invisible turret masters manning invisible Anti-Air guns, as well as invisible secret passages and super secret invisible treasures! Their work done, they quickly depart in groups of three via Mimed Tricycles, because three equals traingles equals Illuminati. Duh.
I give the Owl a massive chromium wall in front of it that contains all the oxidation states of chromium.
> Boneyard Action
I pull out a speaker and begin to blast the OST to NetHack. This causes a wave of nothing to occur that kills 0 and injures 0. While this is happening, I inject the skeletons with DARO Marrow Capsules that proceeds to replace all their bone marrow and cause them to be vulnerable to waves of nothing. I then blast the OST to Rogue and another wave of nothing moves over the Boneyard, but the nothing is so boring that some of the skeletons die from both the boredom and the DARO Marrow Capsules!
A red equals sign aligns itself with Split's affinity bar, increasing his red sun affinity.
The black equals sign that was replaced aligns itself in front of the owl effigy, and because it is from the REAL WORLD (Not actual in real life, that's canonically impossible) it has extra metaphysical weight, making it extra good at being a barrier.
Boneyard: Christoff raises the corpses of the dead skeletons as zombies (how? Don't ask, he's from a world whose physics are dominated by an improbability drive, we don't have time to deal with silly little things like logistics and physical impossibilities) to murder any skeletons that might have somehow survived fseftr's comb rave.
Grayhold: (It'd be nice if you didn't just strand us. From the description I thought that the room below had a gap of air between us and the ink and that that was what we'd be descending into, not straight into ink. Although I think that's the first thing that didn't get across clearly. This is pretty impressive, now I wish even more that I'd joined in the library sidequest)
Eric's thoughts: Time to do something stupid...
Gust
A swirling gust of wind swirls out from around Eric, clearing out the ink just long enough for him to grab Astria and pull her onto the disc and its measure of safety so that they don't get too separated (and Astria doesn't drown if she doesn't have anything protecting her) and giving Eric an opportunity to cast about a quick glance to try and see the source of the orange light.
The ink floods back in immediately after. Although as the trapdoor was left open, the thaumnomicon is now probably drenched in whatever kind of ink that Eric and Astria are swimming in is. This doesn't occur to Eric though, he's sort of preoccupied.
No post today. I had to do something important related to art/school which took up the brunt of the afternoon, throwing my entire schedule out of whack. Expect one tomorrow.

@Piono: No. The surface of the ink was literally a centimeter beneath the trapdoor. Perhaps I am failing to explain things correctly. If that is the case, I apologize. Also, you're lucky you didn't join. That thing merely causes me to feel copious amounts of doubt and shame whenever I look at it. Or, rather, more than what I already feel.
—
You succeed in grabbing Astria, and pulling her on the disc. It appears as if there was some sort of spatial distortion occurring in a manner akin to the fabric of the Furthest Ring, seeing as Astria was approximately seventeen meters away from the trapdoor, four down, and upside down. The experiments that led to my creation of this were rather interesting. Quite a few people were banished to the Inky Abyss in the process, and likely starved to death. But, neither of you know that. Quite frankly, you would be better off not knowing what I do here in the entirety. In the brief moment before the ink floods back in, you discern that the source of the orange light is on the far end of the room, from some sort of roughly rectangular object. Before you can examine it closely, the ink floods back in.
What will you do?

roleplaypost:
Grayhold:
Agreed.
If we were on solid ground I'd probably be able to find something useful...
As it is, my wards (yes, he can speak and see, he's got a small life-support bubble ward around himself at all times, it takes something actively dangerous to hurt him, so unless the ink starts exploding, Eric, and now Astria since they're right next to each other, are able to see the ink (and presumably the orange light) and hear (each other mostly).) will keep us safe unless this ink turns out to be volatile. Unless you think of something, our best bet is to move towards the end of the room, where that light is...
I really wish I had some idea what we're looking for though.
You know what, I'm going to set a timer as soon as we get back on solid ground, we've got half an hour to find something important, then we need to leave. Agreed?
The disc brings Astria and Eric up to the surface of the ink, where the couple of centimeters is enough to avoid the space anomalies that would be further down in the ink, after that, they head towards the orange light. If the come up at the trapdoor first instead, they head back out into the room.
Suddenly, a large number of timedrones zip about through the Void, searching for the tuba. If and when they find it, the tuba is appearificated off the Godmodder immediately, and onto Scratch's head instead. 1/?
/msg Godmodder447 I'm hunting down the tuba now. Hold on.
Following that, I use time shenanigans to give Split one quadrillion Miniature Red Suns.
I preview Miniature Red Sun && Miniature Green Sun && Gun.
I also preview Miniature Red Sun && Miniature Green Sun.
I then take out a Miniature Red Sun and mix it with a Miniature Green Sun. This is not an alchemy, but I am counting it as an alchemy-type action.
Following the messing around with miniature Suns, I create a single Scranton Reality Gun and use time shenanigans to produce nigh-infinite mes who shoot it at Scratch when next he godmods. If he godmods by attempting to destroy the guns, slightly-past versions of me appear and shoot him similarly. Etc.
I then realize something: Lothyra's new laser can't not hit, as per its very description. Another wave of nigh-infinite mes appears, armed with The Heavy Light, and shoot Scratch with all of their copies simultaneously. I then wonder about time travel being an issue, but use my own temporal drives to overpower any attempts to time travel out of the way. The Scranton Reality Gun-wielding copies of myself stick around to make sure Scratch doesn't get to dodge (by blasting him if needed).

I can't change the fact that all those involved enjoyed it. However, the story was complete and utter ignominious trash, as were the format and the descriptions. Even now, seven months later, I am attempting to repair the damage I wrought in that mess of a sidequest. The one good thing I can say about it is that it set a standard for what a sidequest should be, which all of the others thankfully excelled beyond. As for the lack of description, this shouldn't occur. I should be precise and deliberate. I am simply not.
—
We have struck a barrier yet again. When I say several centimeters, we are considering Minecraft. The trapdoor, seeing as you did not fall into it on your way into the room, is level with the floor above. This means that it is at the top of a block. Thusly, the ink starts in the same block space. That is the only place in which there is actual air, not enough to take one breath, and certainly not enough to avoid anything. We are speaking of spatial fabric. They aren't anomalies. It is how the stuff reacts to an object passing through it. Or, in this case, two. And, by objects, I mean people. Regardless, as you appear to be within the same general space, you are going to go through this without any particularly devastating distortions, assuming that you do not leap off of the disc. And, if you are placing a thirty minute timer on this, you may as well leave now. It will be several hours before you get out of this room, if the last one shows anything. Regardless, you head in the general direction of the orange light. You stop when you collide with the wall. You grope for the wall, attempting to find some semblance of a location, and your hand touches a pedestal, with something upon it, which you cannot see, as it is obscured by ink.
What will you do?

Duh.

Grayhold:

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.
[Client thread/INFO] [Natura]: TConstruct, we're going to take over the world!
