*Ahem*

The clock might tick.

We're probably all going to die.

Eh. Respec a point from SPC, add 6 points to HP. Switch Fireball for Zillycharm.

Hmm. Investing 3 skillpoints into AGI, saving the last one to avoid being vulnerable to Derivation at max health in case more secretaries show up.

The Operative gets on the ship quickly, taking up position at D11 just in case.

"Let us move with haste."

I'll put both points into HP for now and hit it up at J8. That's the SHORT version. I also part with my awesome Cards to grab the Glass Dagger. I wholly recommend someone picks up the Cards for an AGI Hero build, especially one of our pre-existing mages, as we have far too many at this point. (IE, Teag, Battlefury, Pricey)

----+----

Roxxanne was dawdling in the Cavern of Original Characterswhen she heard a buzzing sound from her phone...But the Mindscape doesn't really get reception much? This had to be a unique caller, one with much power in here (or potential for it). She opened it, typed in a series of passwords, PINs and swipe combos, and logged into her phone, to notice the caller on Pchum (which everyone seems to have for the Void Encryption thing), a certain purple TA...

Ugh. These conversations, they were never pleasant, but business was business after all, and Roxxanne needed the support and funding, and what he was offering could not be beaten.

"Pesterlog"

-- transparentAristrocrat [TA] began pestering undyingAspirant [UA] at 21:28 SVT --
UA: What is it now?
TA: My shade has been obliterated within the expected modules. Given that you were apparently the one needed to purchase that guide, a requisite in all timelines of survival, and of course have fought me to ensure the quality of the test subjects, you will recieve 2 payments to your dead-drop location.
TA: You have been doing well.
UA: Is that everything? You usually just drop an automated message if that's all.
TA: Quite astute, daemon.
TA: We can't quite pre-test everything I wanted in advance, it will seem.
TA: The Dreamer is blocking out more than just the power of Descendancy, it seems. I can SENSE the living masks within, waiting to be used...But restrained.
TA: With one exception. He seemed awfully hesitant to approach the battle-quite intelligent for a lesser being-but I could still sense that he has fully unleashed his potential and could still do so within the Mindscape.
UA:Oh nooooooooo
TA: I've had to rearrange some variables as the Dreamer seems to have been...Laxed as far as his potential is concerned, which might be the reason why, but regardless, I have found our second test subject all ready to go!
TA:...I take it you have already divined his identity.
UA: He's not gonna work with any of us for a second and you know it! He's working for the omnicidal maniac for pete's sake!
TA: I said I would prefer they all be working together, not that it was required. Anti-Godmodding works even when employed by the godmodder producing the phenomena. We will see which is which in time.
TA: For this find I've given you an additional payment, at the usual dead-drop site.
UA: Can you take back the payment if it means I don't have to work with Zetta?
TA: No. Test subjects are hard to find as it is, I cannot let a single one be loose from my sights.
TA: Simple-minded creature, it requires conflict in order to draw out the Descendancy and benefits the breaking of the living masks, why should I decline his inclusion?
UA: Can you stop calling me a simple-minded creature? He's out for your blood as much as everyone else by your account!
TA: If that's all the worry, then I've nothing to worry about.
TA: Zetta on his lonesome is a candle to an inferno.
TA: The Chaos Butterfly is troublesome but nothing beyond my ability to handle, and everything else that Zetta or Chaos has access to cannot possibly scathe me that easily.
TA: In any case, if he killed you all he would nevertheless provide the data I needed as well as make his own slaughter all the easier. Plus, you will all have died for a good cause to further the progress of mankind.
TA: Is that not admirable?
UA: Less than you'd have it.
TA: It's talk like that that has left everything in the dust. No-one changes anything in the Multiverse, not even the strongest of players, even if they could.
TA: Even the 'Omnipotent' Pariah would most will his own power back to his own level, oblivious to the fact that he could do much more lasting than he ever could as his old self. Or at least, ignorant of the true scope of his situation.
TA: That he's the smartest one amongst all the Terminae should tell you something.
TA: Such a shame he can't partake in the experiment, his power would nullify the Lineage Phenomena.
TA: Any further trivial questions?
UA: Nope, not really.
TA: Good. Make good use of my gifts to you and make it out alive, and we will continue our business.
TA: Good day.
UA: Good day.

"...Jerk." Roxxanne muttered to herself. He was such a jerk to deal with, but he also had many characteristics that made his deal actually appealing. For one, he already paid quite a bit up front. For another, his payment wasn't just in money but also in various materials, minerals, books on various types of magic, and quite a bit more, including (at her request) a really good set of electronics (and in one case an upgrade to her own cell phone) with all sorts of really big gaming accounts. She heard Godmodders are all gaming buffs like that...And also, a lot of them had computers and accounts to spare, some even infinite. Really, one of the best deals she's ever heard of on the whole.

If it wasn't for the fact the guy running it was a jerk in general, with racism against nonhumans, a belief he was basically the second coming of god almighty, and more negative traits all rolled into one. Yet, she's worked with worse and probably has BEEN worse and through the Guardian has assured her that Pane was basically the stuff dragged straight from hell, there was really no other options. It was either this jerk temporarily to get her business started and to get the SGAME up and running, or no-one at all, and Pane is definitely against the real threat, the Dark Carnival. Honestly, if everyone could just get their collective heads out of their hindquarters this would be so much easier, but...First, getting out of here.

It begs the question of how she even got in here, given she was part of the Terraria session, thus she'd have to deliberately time-travel or void-travel to the end of DTG2 (in the past in Terraria's timeframe) in order to enter the mindscape and save the Descendants...To her knowledge, all of the test subjects did not return from their sojourn into the Mindscape, with the exception of Generic, who was a robot with an AI and thus merely got another body to house his AI, effectively reviving him. Redstone, DarkSide and Toast all seemed to be here because of her (announced) intentions of coming here-so that was good.

In any case, she ran back out of the cavern. "That boss fight was stacked against my favor, sorry. In any case, Zetta's probably going to stop being stupefied by the bonus boss so let's get out of here!"

=UPDATING=
Some players quickly set their spawn locations, then do some skill-pointy things. Battlefury drops all his skillpoints into INT, Toast doing a slight respec and eating the HP Orb, then will probably get those walkthrough entries later if I don't forget for the fiftieth time hahaha. Toast also switches for Revive, and equips her saw and Strategist Emblem. Insert then drops a point from SPC, and increases his HP by 6. He then... doesn't switch from Zillycharm, as it really won't be helpful in the next battle. I'll let you switch to it for free though, if you think it will.

The Operative throws 3 skillpoints into AGI, while Roxxanne tosses 2 into HP and swaps for the Glass Dagger, the weapon that actually can suffer from feedback if you kill an ally without permission. Darkside then finally ups his SPC and HP by 1. (Hey, given just how easy it is to fill Dragon Forme, I'm seriously considering increasing the SP cost!)

With all that done, it's time to calmly prepare to board the shi-

The island shakes.
The spires glow brighter.

ga: gorilla.
ga: GET ON THE SHIP QUICKLY

Gladius promptly forces EVERYONE to get on the Ship, then promptly starts the engines as the island shakes and new spires begin to rise out of the flaky, splintery grounds. A spire rips out from the ground and narrowly misses the MW Anti as it breaks away from the island. A loud droning can be heard from the island as the light from the spires creates an aura of sorts around the island. The Core has awoken, and with bad timing; it's blocking your escape, and the only way forward is through that ship. You know; the gigantic one that's been looming in the distance for fifteen-something turns. As the ship flies forth into battle, Chaos's voice booms through the mindscape once more.

cc: hello (t)here!
cc: so i know you've been wondering why i've pla©ed a gian(t) ship in your way!
cc: (t)here's (t)wo reasons: one, we need an awesome boss ba(t)(t)le righ(t) abou(t) now...

cc: i presen(t) (t)o you, (t)he spa©eboa(t) wi(t)h (t)he mos(t) hype...
cc: (t)he nigh(t)mare!

Confetti fills the air for whatever reason, and you can hear children cheering. Suddenly, a familiar voice sounds from the ship.

I see that you are as incompetent as ever! You keep trying to run and fight and be the scrappy little pricks you are, just BEGGING for a death sentence! Well, gorillas, WISH GRANTED!!

Zetta, who happens to be manning the nightmare, then promptly blasts every single last piece of confetti out of the sky with a barrage of crystal. The Nightmare, being a creation of Chairian, Tabletopian and Chaos's tech, is truly a strange sight; instead of consisting primarily of wood of any sorts, the Nightmare is made up of gigantic slabs of solid crimson crystal. These crystals, which make up a bulk of the ship and the two massive wings, seem to provide a propulsion of sorts to the ship, and give it lift. Chairian and Tabletopian flair seems to decorate the hull of the ship, most of it defiled by Chaos's graffiti and liberal application of glitch.

Inside the walls of the ship are the marvels of hard-wood flooring, and plenty of sentient crystal beings, probably loosely based on Chaos's understandings of how Gems work. There's also two sub-cores, which are mainly there to provide power to the relevant sides of the ship, and a central barrier. Right behind that hard-energy barrier is the newly-formed Skykraken Zetta, as well as a strange, tiny version of the Dreamer, acting as a core. There's also a device known as the Soul Ripper, or the Determinat-

Well, gorilla. You might want to get that checked out. A vile red mist starts to emanate from the crystalline wings, forming spiked "boulders" of sorts in the skies. Pulses of glitched pixels arc off from these constructs, spiraling into the abyss below. The wings then light up in a display of color, and the weapons begin to hum...

@Ire: Eh, do what you wish with the SP cost. Just keep my currently filled SP bar at 100%, k?

I stick around for a bit, as whatever's gonna be boarding is gon' be weak to dark, and my weapon ability will be super useful here.

Well then. Oriko is gorillaed.

Oriko and Kirika see the Nightmare. It's a big freaking 25x22 ship of death and destruction. Well, gorilla. They then promptly hear Zetta.

Well, gorilla.
I would totally call him Consumer of Teenage Girls but I don't feel like getting murdered today.
Oriko: No.
Oriko: NO.
Oriko: That is not my opinion, or anywhere near it.

Oriko death glares the 25x22 ship of death and doom, before noticing the lack of a Pilot's Handbook, not that we really need it any more, but it's still useful. Kirika moves to J4, and fires the Railgun at the Nightmare if it's in range. Oriko turrets the Nightmare if it's in range.
Kirika: Gladius, where are you?

QUOTE (Redstonetam15 @ (time=1468337387))
He switches out Fireball for Descendant because he probably is. (Yeah, I'm really confused what the definition of a Descendant is in the DTGverse. Do you have to be in one of the main games (DTG1, 2, and 0) or just a canonized one?)
From what I can gather, you qualify as a descendant from participation in one of the games because there has to be some reason you can pull off all of this ludicrous stuff. Consequently, because of your title, you also have an associated Ancestor, which is pretty much an equivalent to you all the way back from the Psi-War thing (is that what it's called?) because that's pretty much an echo of DTG2.

You also may or may not be able to become an ancestor in technicality, but let's not get into that. /null

Okay, question ire.
Are the subsystems on this ship gonna respawn too?
Because that seems just a tiny bit REALLY UNFAIR.
Every single one of the Nightmare's subsystems deal large amounts of damage, and Zetta gets to use all of them at once.

tazz, we are all looking to you for tactical guidance. I do not have the patience or tactical know-how to know where I'm best suited.
Also! Somebody needs to fix the mind-control component of the crit-granter, and then give something with as much AoE attack power as is physically possible, and then have them drop bonus forms and pound Zetta with it.

I ask Bill for a quote on how much incendiary bits would cost to create. I also buy a Life Bottle if we haven't bought any already.

Toast destroys the Cracked Memory Orb by leaving a whirred up Jadesaw inside it overnight. By which she means 24 hours. In dragon years, for whatever reason. She then uses the Hard Light Projector, just to see what would happen.

Afterwards, Toast moves to D10, and uses Whir Up! If that space is taken, D12.
