Nettle moves to O9. The Sleuth moves to L8 and drops 1 inspiration her, then does the rest of his action.

Nettle downs a Bottled Luck and billcasts Teneblight on the Protemitor. Sapling1 and 2 move three spaces up (or wherever around there that isn't occupied and isn't within DoE attack zone, and then Sapling1 duplicates to P14.

Taeda moves to L9 and uses Want of Safety centred on O9.

~~

Nettle, in a more reasonable sector of the universe, manages to acquire directions back to the house. She finds a present presumably addressed to her, judging by the thorns. In the same reasonable sector, Toast finds the note from Marron and swears out loud.
"Jeez, it's that time of the year isn't it! When we give out presents! In uh, October?"
For someone that regularly wrangles with time, she's pretty confused about how the scheduling of Christmas works for these people.

The Birthday Battle
BEFORE Venia moves:

Daskter moves to K12. 3protoaura
Kat1 moves to M12. 7protoaura
Kat2 moves to L14. 1protoaura
Kat3 moves to M13. 1protoaura

Daskter begins with a salvo of Twin Jolts. Also pep talk first Kat.

All three Katyusha begin unleashing an absolutely devastating and explosive alpha strike on the Protemitor
Triple Elemental Splitshot.

Damage Boost to note: TRAIT+SPECIAL+Protoaura+Command * Weakness * Protoaura
10 * (1+0.1+0.1+1+0.2) * (1+2.5) = 85 x 9 Damge not including proto aura

Echoss: Several Echoss butterflies follow the Chairian trio a fair distance back to the citadel (though not all the way) just to make sure that they and their wards make it back safely. If any Iti or similar attempt to attack the chairians, the butterflies drop out some more weapons from the inventory to equip soldiers with the gear they need to not die.

Echoss himself removes himself from being in two places in the catacombs at the same time and makes his way to Chloe at the entrance.
"Thank you for the help Miss Elem."
He leans against the wall.
"It's been quite the day so far hasn't it?"

House: At the house except not actually at the house, the silkweed bundles at the farm are harvested and used to make the bedding for the remaining 6 beds and place them down. If that's not enough fabric, more is taken from the simple fabric reserves in the inventory.

Everground: Pionobot activates a special windbreaker spell. Which doesn't actually break wind (thank goodness) but instead sends it somewhere else. This forces the strong winds of the cyclone regalia straight downwards. Simultaneously giving Pionobot enough stability to walk (well, crawl) towards the Regalia and also knocking the incoming harpy out of the air.

Omorika Lab: The newly opened lab slot will research Symbiote.

Nia upgrades: The shadowy figure, after being gone for so many rounds, reappears to Nia and pushes forwards credits for an upgrade to the Snowball Maelstrom and Hammer of Banning +3
Unless someone else claims an upgrade spot that is, if spots are claimed no upgrades.

100 credits are also dispensed to obtain the Hybrid's codex entry

If Chloe goes on any gathering sprees, Echoss accompanies her.

Battle:
Echoss moves after Arthur, moves up to L9 using his swift, and then kills CSpirits 1, 3, and 4 using the Tap mechanic with his basic attack. He then tosses an air strike flare into the center tile of the Protemitor

Crya runs to M9 and fires off Cold Snap at the Protemitor and Hands 1 and 2. She then retreats to P8.
For the Finale, Crya moves to N7 and fires off Ice Stalagmites at N5.
The Chibi Nia goes next, moving to K11.

Lukas thwacks Protemitor Hand 2! A glitchy energy manifests as a glowing crack in its hull, spreading over to the rest of its body, and then detonating in a flash of destructive light.

RP - the house:

With the end of the Monika battle, it seems Sol Aeterna/Lato is not in the mood to remain in the inventory on her own just yet. As such, she's in the Basement, currently in Gladius form and leaning against one of the different chests.

"Hm hm, hm hm... I wonder who will be interested in wielding me..."

It's possible her voice is familiar, or at least somewhat hints at who she's related to...

Meanwhile, Calibri has taken off to the Dueling Hut to do some crafting in privacy.

"...Yeah, this is gonna be a while. Might need a fair bit of resources to do it, too..."

Crafting time!
Here we are. Calibri's in the Dueling Hut, which at this point might as well be a Crafting Hut for me personally, and he's ready to do some crafting for somebody. Just one ever so minor problem...

"Let's face it. I don't actually know what to craft. Still. Figure I should do... something. Anything."

There's a long pause. Birds are singing. Flowers are blooming. Inspiration strikes.

"Actually, you know what...? If nothing else, I can see what came before. Might as well check that."

He closes his eyes. What's relevant to her...? A few things flash to mind. A scarf. A scope. A sword. Actually, that might just be a Basic Item sword, so not much use there. An... embarrassing event... his concentration breaks as he ends up recalling the event that game him Nia's Blessing as an accomplishment, his face flaring up in a bright shade of cyan, then he hurriedly brushes that memory aside. After that, he can't quite remember what he was thinking about anymore.

"...Hm. Oh well. Starting points. Better use one of the baseline ones, too. Could use some related materials..."

He promptly just deconstructs the Bloody Scarf and Nill Scope, converting them into something more resembling a raw craftform essence, then concentrates fairly hard to put that raw craftform essence together with some Titanium Ingots and Gold Ingots to assemble some sort of weird structure of sorts. He then combines that and a Heroine's Charm to upgrade it with the power of, uh... it being slightly more relevant to Chloe? Yeah, sure, let's go with that. It's really hard to tell what might work here.

Input:
1x Heroine's Charm
1x Bloody Scarf
1x Nill Scope
Some Titanium Ingots
Some Gold Ingots

Output:
1x True Heroine's Charm

(T6) True Heroine's Charm
They're gonna have to try a little harder than THAT.
(+1 SKI), (Determinate), (Give It My All!), (-3 MHP)
Slashing (10%), Fire (20%), Air (-10%)

Determinate: If you take a blow that would Down you, survive with 1 HP. Note the lack of %HP threshold. Can only trigger once per battle.
Give It My All!: Once per battle, you may use your action to obtain Empowered3 and Enlightened3 for four rounds, then restore (11-12) HP. If Determinate has triggered, it is refreshed, and the HP restoration is doubled.

EN's still attending to Rosie right now. She's just a little bit concerned at hearing Rosie very obviously being aligned with... well, not the spherebreakers, for sure. The main issue is they might come to blows, and despite her best efforts, she's fairly sure her precious creation might not come out on top if that happened...

"Right, might've gone an' used a wee bit much o' th' ol' entropy stuff..."

She shrugs.

"Ah well. On wit' th' work, me reckons. Lemme see wha' else ah can do 'ere..."

EN seems to have figured out what sanctified alloy is made of, and noted the sheer lack of it remaining in the inventory. Good thing she noticed, otherwise there'd be problems. Unfortunately, we're out of Silver. Fortunately, there's a solution - Silver Gears would surely do as a replacement for the ingots! She crafts them together with Titanium Ingots to do the material segment, then copies notes from some Sanctified Bricks to figure out the correct way to sanctify things. All in the name of getting those oh so important Sanctified Ingots, naturally. And once she's got a nice supply of them, she starts pondering how to use them. Then, she has an idea.

"Oh yeah, lemme know if anythin' feels diff'rent whene'er ah change somethin', a'ight? Speakin' o' wha', ah'm 'bout t' change somethin'."

She promptly crafts an admittedly rather beautiful-looking roseflower of sorts out of Sanctified Ingots, then hops up and carefully installs that somewhere in what she hopes is near the middle of Rosie. Will sanctity help? Will it do the opposite of help? She has no idea and no way of telling. And, most importantly, she's more than willing to just throw shit together without stopping to figure out if that's what she really ought to be doing. Someone might want to be on hand in case she takes this way too far in the wrong direction.

And as for Engie, he has apparently fucked off entirely.

"Yeah."

Battle - Awards Hangar

"...I should change my weapon sometime soon. Lack of retreat is really annoying."

The fusion moves to Q9 and slings a Light-element Hidden Force at the Protemitor.

Since Eph is having post issues, here's a Ziah action: after he's resurrected, move to P11, kill Creation Spirit 5 with a Tap basic attack, retreat to O12, use weapon skill, use special, use Breakdown Exploitation.

Just holding onto this.

Bow Kid runs to (L9) and Hidden Pixels the Protemitor. She retreats to (H12) using a MOBILIZE beat from the Peace meter.

The Mirror Hat Kid Plushie stays where it is and fires a Hidden Pixel at Protemitor Hand 2, expending their stored ATTACK beat for +4 Buff Levels. It hops back to (S12).

Bat and Fox

With the dust settled over the Hybridization Lab, The Author suddenly feels like he’s not done something that he should have. This feeling is quickly answered by the foxgirl directly behind him.

Hoshi: Hey, partner!
Auth: Oh! Hoshi! We were going to have a chat, weren’t we? Hello.

Auth turns around to face his friend, and smiles. It has been a while since they saw each other, after all.

Hoshi: So, how are you doing? It’s been a while since we last met, so I figure we need to try and catch up a little…

Auth: We definitely do - you never came to visit! Did I forget to explain the key? But beyond that… I’ve been pretty good. How about you?
Hoshi: Oh yeah, that thing. I gave that to Angel in case she needed to go grab some stat-increasers - it kinda slipped my mind because of other stuff, though. And presumably hers.
Auth: Ah, fair enough. You’d better come and visit at some point, though. I’m glad you’re here, we can use the help. I mean, you saw how much trouble we had.
Hoshi: Right, Monika. I was considering coming down myself again, but at that point, Angel had the feeling something was off and I made sure to drag myself with her.
Hoshi: I didn’t want her to get hurt or anything, you know?

Auth: I’m sure she appreciated. You were a big help.
Hoshi: It’s nothing, really. You go in and stop one powerful entity, you help stop the other.
Auth: I can’t really argue with that.
Hoshi: Yeah. So, how about you? You do anything interesting?
Auth: I had an interesting discovery recently that’s pretty major, I think… and there’s been all sorts of adventures here I could tell you about. I have a girlfriend now - never thought that would happen.
Hoshi: Oh, really? You’ve got to tell me who the lucky girl is, then.
Auth: She came to the battle with me, I’ll introduce you at some point. Her name’s Nana, she’s a Charian.
Hoshi: Ah. I guess that joke about love blooming on the battlefield isn’t totally joking.
Hoshi: Considering the initial point of this is that the Chairians kinda want to kill you for ruining what they think is their solution to their annoying neighbors.

Auth: That’s true, but we’re trying to protect a bigger piece of the universe than just the annoying neighbors.
Auth: I ought to mention, though… that discovery? (That I thought you’d ask about). Found out, like… yesterday that I had the power to shapeshift.

Hoshi: ...Ah. So that’s what this is about.
Hoshi: Well, the first question I have is: How’s it work?

Auth: I appreciate the help. You were the first person I thought to ask about it.
Auth: As for how it works? I’m not entirely sure yet. I have some ideas, but… I think it’s an extension of my vampirism.

Hoshi: Hmm… so, like, blood magic kind of stuff? Just need to make sure - every version of vampires is so different, I’m surprised they share the same name.
Hoshi: For example, Dracula himself could turn into a wolf, which is definitely an interesting quirk…

Auth: From the one example I’ve had so far, I think I need to consume DNA of a different species to transform into it. Blood, hair work. I think. That’s what I mean.
Hoshi: I get it. So, you think that if I just let you take a little blood, like this…

Hoshi then cuts a small hole open in the palm of her hand with a sharp fingernail.

Hoshi: Then you can try to turn into me? It’s worth a shot.
Auth: I don’t think I can turn into you, per se, but I think I can turn into a kitsune?

Auth shrugs. He’s not got much in the way of understanding of how this works, after all.

Hoshi: Yeah, I would guess so. Not sure what sucking my blood’s going to do, but it should still at least somewhat work.
Auth: That’s the idea, yes.
Hoshi: Well, I already made the hole, so you should be able to do it whenever. Just take it as slow as you want, okay?
Auth: Ah, yeah, I noticed. It shouldn’t take all that long…

Since Hoshi is bleeding slightly, Auth can catch a drop of blood that drips off her hand. He winces after consuming it.

Auth: This might sound kind of pathetic, but I don’t like the taste of blood. Never have.
Hoshi: Hey, fair enough. I wouldn’t judge you for it.

Auth nods, and closes one eye. Fox ears can be seen starting to spring out of his head - seems like this transformation is much faster.

Hoshi: Well, looks like it’s already working. I wonder what the end result will be~
Auth: I’ll be kitsune, I think…

The transformation is relatively quick, over the course of about five minutes. Auth’s blood-red hair gives its colour to the ears and tail that sprout, and his nails grow out into proper claws. Similar to Hoshi’s, in fact.

Hoshi: Ah, looks like you have all of the big details sorted. That’s good. It suits ya well.

Hoshi quickly procures a mirror so that Author can actually see himself. Auth looks quietly in the mirror, taking note of the changes he felt.

Auth: Well, it’s flattering. I think we can say that was a success.
Hoshi: Yep, it definitely worked. You look a little cute, too, I have to admit…
Auth: Hoshiiiii…

Auth chuckles. He thinks quietly, a bit further.

Auth: I wonder if I can change smaller increments… like, this is probably the biggest thing a person can do, and I wonder if I can change the way my body looks and stuff…
Hoshi: I’d say so, but it’d probably take a while to figure it out and get used to it. But hey, we’ve both got time, if not while we’re out here, then back at your library!
Auth: Exactly right! It’s been good to catch up! Thanks so much for your help, I appreciate it.
Auth: Now I’ve just got to figure out how to transform back… but it can’t be that much harder than before…

Hoshi: If there’s anyone who knows what you normally look like, it’s definitely you. I’m sure it’ll be easy!

Auth laughs again. He takes a deep breath, and in a few minutes, is back to normal. Seems like it takes quite a bit of focus the first couple of times.

Auth: It’s been good to see you, Hoshi. I’m glad you’re doing well. Let me know if you need anything, I’ll be happy to help.

Hoshi nods.

Hoshi: Alright then. Knowing how this place deals with battles, I’m guessing I’ll see you in about five minutes, but it’s been nice to talk with you.
Auth: It has, let’s do it again at some point soon. See ya in… what, three minutes? Hah.

----

Battle Action! Auth drinks a bottle of Bottled Luck, moves to N10, and then points at the Protemitor. Three pulses of what looks like the sun appear from behind him, and devastate the giant machine.

Auth uses all three charges of his special on the Protemitor! Hoping to crit...

----

At the same time, in the house, Auth opens the box addressed to him by Nana.

Protemitor fight:

Kalis will go before Venia. They move to N13 to stand in the Protoaura. If either Creation Spirits 6 or 8 are open, they will attack and Tap them. Then they will cast Chaos Bolt on Protemitor Hand 1, with Loaded Spellbook boosting it.

-----

Monika ex-fight:

<RP PLACEHOLDER>

-----

Christmas crafting spree: Kalis's craftpost last round didn't seem to be counted, so they try it again.

Kalis's Lucky Seven is a good trinket. But its own description suggests that higher numbers could be even luckier, if it wasn't for the number 7 having a special association with luck that others can't hope to match. Luckily (hah!) for Kalis, though, they remember a tale they were once told of a Gamblignant from the FLARP dimension. According to legend, they once had all the luck. All of it. And their luckiest number was 8.

So Kalis takes 8 Shimmering Clusters from the inventory and shines blue light on them to make them glow blue. Then they lay the Lucky Seven on the ground and roll the Clusters onto them like they're Fluorite Octets. In an astounding stroke of luck, they release their stored light energy in just the right way to make the Lucky Seven melt, warp and reshape itself into a figure eight while also improving its abilities. It now looks something like this:

(T5) Trinket: Lucky Eight
Precisely one luckier than the Lucky Seven.

Stats: (+8 CRT) (+2 DGE) (+5 CAV) (+1 SPC) (All The Luck)
All The Luck: If an attack would down or kill you, you have a 10% chance to survive with 1 HP and gain 10 SP. Still works at 1 HP.
Resists: Light 20%

(Not all eight Clusters need to have been consumed by this craftpost. They just got rolled like dice, many of them could still be perfectly useable.)

Arthur activates Alkahest Admixture!

Once again, a sudden fire seems to arise in his eyes, and he pulls a cauldron made of what looks like clear glass from nowhere. A flask made of the same glassy substance appears in his hand, full of a faintly-shimmering liquid, which he pours into the cauldron, filling it. As the first flask dissipates, tossed aside and dissolving into nothing, a second flask full of a different, prismatic liquid appears in his hand.

He pulls two Airstrike Flares, a Crystal Bomb Shell (with a Dark-element crystal inside it), and two Dark-element El'ite Knives from the group inventory and splashes the second liquid over them; they shimmer and duplicate themselves. The original items return to the inventory, and Arthur sets the second flask, still partly full, aside. He looks at the duplicated items, inspiration burning within him.

He takes a single Airstrike Flare (along with its attendant airship) and throws it into the cauldron with a Dark El'ite Knife, the liquid within dissolving them in seconds, before disgorging an Airstrike Flare tinted purple, with its airship's bombs clearly crackling with dark energy. Then, he throws the Crystal Bomb, with its dark crystal, in with the other El'ite Knife, receiving back a Crystal Bomb that's charged up further with damaging dark energy. Then, he throws the remaining unaltered Airstrike Flare, the Dark-element Airstrike Flare, and the dark-charged Crystal Bomb into the liquid all at once, receiving back a single Airstrike Flare that's wreathed in antilight, with an accompanying airship made of shadow steel whose bombs are miniature dark-crystal bombs.

He splashes the remaining duplication liquid over the flare and its airship, and the cauldron and its liquid within dissolve and rush into the flare as the entire thing glows.

Once it's done, Arthur is holding two flares, imbued with power. He throws one into the group Inventory, and tosses the other into his Maw.

Darkstrike Antiflare
A flare that emanates antilight when lit, calling down a darkness-infused barrage from a tiny shadow-steel airship.

Essentially a dark-element Airstrike Flare, but strengthened a bunch. Maybe it targets more random tiles (thanks to having two Airstrike Flares in the recipe) or deals more damage, thanks to having a bunch of dark-element items in it. I used a Crystal Bomb Shell in it, but I don't intend it to apply Teneblight -- just used that as another dark-aspect item, and also a cool way to flavor the airship's bombs as being crystal-powered bombs.

...With that done, he pays 7 MP to gain a second item action, and uses one last item alteration to throw a normal Airstrike Flare at the Protemitor, aspected to Dark.

RP Stuff

Irongutta continued his earlier conversation with Magnolia, a bit puzzled by her comments on the way he talks.

"Wot? Just 'ow I speak, I guess. I have 'alf a mind to ask ya why you talk the way ya do, but we've already answered that question!" He exhaled through his nose loudly, but cracked a wry grin to show he was joking around.

"Say, this may come as an odd question, but wots yer opinion on the color blue? Way I see it, it's the luckiest color there is! I wouldn't be caught dead without somethin' blue on me. Goes deeper than lookin' nice too. Saw a git I knew get into a scrap without his lucky choppa. Safe to say, the doks had a field day with wot was left of 'im!"

Battle: The Awards Hangar

Irongutta realized he was in a rather unfortunate position. There really was only one way out, and that was by cutting through.

"Let's show 'em wot we're made of, Magnolia!"

Not moving an inch, Irongutta attacks Protemitor Hand 1. Or uh, alternatively if that is dead somehow he will move to N7 and attack the Protemitor straight in the eye. For a little bit of extra damage, he spends some mana to target the Protemitor with his Gitzappa Lens.

<ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND TWO>

Maria and Venia open up some Christmas presents! When it comes around to opening Chaos's present to Maria, the princess finds a... wooden crate. With a bit of help from Venia (and maybe a crowbar), the box pops open to reveal... an insane amount of bananas. 50 Mighty Bananas enter the inventory. It seems like they're not consumable items, interestingly enough.

Hidden among the bananas appears to be a proper saddle for Cushion. It's made of the typical leather, but it's been furbished to be safer for Maria. This includes features like a seatbelt, a comfy cushion to sit on... and cupholders, presumably for the bananas included in the crate.

Venia then decides to dig into the two presents that Nia got for her. Nia, who's conveniently in the area, eagerly bobs from side to side as her presents are looted. In the soaked box, Venia peels away the wrapping paper to find a small bundle of crystals! But not just any crystal: multiple Tsunami Regalia!

NIA: So maybe it's a biiiit awkward to bring it up now, but I was thinking about your whole "Transcendance" thing.
NIA: So, I got you something to maybe help with that! Chloe gave me directions to where I could maybe find some, and... well, I did it!
NIA: Five whole Regalia!
NIA: It was going perfectly until one of them fell over in the box, and then a chain reaction started, and the whole box was soaked...
NIA: Good thing I wrapped it just outside of the cave where I found it, otherwise we'd still be drying the house...

NIA: Oh, oh!
NIA: Open the next one!

She was already going to, anyway. Venia cautiously opens the second one, finding a small black jewelry box. She gently lifts it open, finding a pair of heart-shaped earrings. Fused onto each of the shimmering crystalline hearts is the metallic icon of a snowflake, and on the other side, a small icon of a key.

NIA: Merry Christmas~
NIA: I thought that these'd look good on you!
NIA: Chloe and I put them together! She did most of the work, because she's good at that, but I got the crystals and other things.
NIA: ...Also, I wanted to do some symbolism stuff, and I wasn't sure what'd fit you... so, I went with the key!
NIA: Hopefully you think that looks good.

NIA: Oh, also!
NIA: Below that little cushion in the box is another tiny surprise~

Venia lifts up the small cushion, and finds a tiny bit of mistletoe. Before Venia has a moment to properly process this, she's pulled into a deep kiss by Nia, hugging her tightly. A few moments later, she breaks off, her lips curling into a warm, rosy smile.

NIA: Couldn't help myself with that, sorry!
NIA: That was smooth though, right?
NIA: Eheheheheh~

NIA: Aaaanyway, let's see what you got for me!
NIA: Probably should've waited to kiss you after I saw what you got for me. That would've been way smoother.
NIA: Or at least, more romantic.
NIA: Whatever! Presents! Yeah!

Nia doesn't show nearly as much caution as Venia as she pops open her present, wrapping paper scattering the area. Nia's face grows ever more bright as she beholds what Venia got for her: the Snowflake Earrings!

NIA: A-Ah! They're beautiful!
NIA: I should've known you got earrings for me!
NIA: We totally have couple ESP or something! Us being together like this is destiny!~

She immediately hands the earrings to Venia.

NIA: Put them on!
NIA: Like, on me!
NIA: I don't know how to do it, but we'll both look fabulous once we put these one!
NIA: And we'll be matching!

She turns her head about ninety degrees, showing her ears to Venia. She stays as still as possible, awaiting Venia's aid. Elsewhere, aesthetics continue to be slain. A door is looted for 4 Rosetainted Metal, and then the Awkward Washroom is invaded for some tiles (let's call that 20 Clay), and another Toilet. Krabs then decides to scan the rapidly vanishing body of the Hybrid. This works.

>Codex Updated!

Venia also decides to visit Chloe, taking along R-8733. Her request? Bombs. Lots and lots of bombs. Chloe hesitates, while R-8733 breaks out his personal copy of the Anarchist's Cookbook.

CHLOE: W-Wait, you want to BLOW UP the catacombs!?
CHLOE: T-That seems incredibly reckless! If we b-blew up the Rosen Catacombs, that'd cause massive damage to the surface, disrespect the souls of everyone buried down there, a-and...
CHLOE: L-Look, maybe think about this a bit more?
CHLOE: N-Not that it's strictly a terrible idea- t-there's certainly upsides to it, but...
CHLOE: Just... maybe get some input from everyone else?
CHLOE: I'm not giving you bombs until-

R-8733 expends one of Chloe's forms, and out come 8 Rosebuster Bombs. Nobody is quite sure where he got the materials from, or how he made them so fast.

CHLOE: W-What!?
CHLOE: H-How did you-

R-8733: It's my calling!
R-8733: Also, I was planning on blowing the place up anyway.

CHLOE: ...

Chloe is unamused. Elsewhere, Venia and Nia share another kiss as the duchess hands off the Silverglitch to be upgraded. This results in the... Glitchglitch?

NIA: venia i think i broke it

...Oops.

Chara obtains a hug. The small child stands totally still as they cry. Chloe keeps embracing Chara, long after she stops speaking. Once the tears subside, and Chara's had a few moments to simmer down, the swordswoman takes a step back. Chara then requests cocoa. Chloe smiles gently.

CHLOE: Alright.
CHLOE: One hot cocoa, coming up!

A few moments later, Chloe returns with a red mug, filled to the brim with cocoa. A small pile of whipped cream with sprinkles sits upon the top. She's also prepared a smaller mug for herself.

CHLOE: Aaaand, here!
CHLOE: I'm not sure if the sprinkles and stuff were too much, but hopefully, you enjoy it!

She sits down on the couch near Chara, and begins to sip at her own drink. Seems she's content to stay around for a bit if Chara wants to talk.

Nettle and Toast find presents! First, Nettle tends to her gift, finding what seems to be an eyepatch in the box. There's little bits of greenery growing upon it, the same shade as Nettle's own foilage.

ETTE: Hi!
ETTE: I wanted to thank you for being a big help for all of us, so I made you something!
ETTE: I dunno if Chairians celebrate Christmas, but I hope you like it anyway!

Toast meanwhile, finds a note from Marron. It's October!Christmas. Again. Looks like she'll need to prepare a gift for Marron! Conveniently enough, Marron's scarf rests next to the note. She's probably expecting something.

i wonder what

Echoss continues his works. He decides to send his battalion of butterflies with the Legion as they return to the Citadel. Their trip is uneventful, and he receives little praise for his help from the unobservant legions, but Willow winks at the butterflies as they part ways. Seems likes she's thankful enough, at least.

Later, Echoss meets up with Chloe at the entryway into the Catacombs. He thanks her for the help. Chloe jumps a little upon hearing his voice. spinning around shortly after.

CHLOE: E-Eep!
CHLOE: O-Oh, it's just you...
CHLOE: Sorry about that. This place has me on edge...

Echoss leans against the wall, remarking about how it's been quite the day so far. Chloe nods as she heads for the same wall, joining him there. She sinks into it, shoulders untensing.

CHLOE: It has, hasn't it?
CHLOE: First the Sleuth attacked, and then we fought Magnolia...
CHLOE: Really, every day on this planet has been a whirlwind.
CHLOE: It's not like it's been strictly bad, but definitely kinda stressful.
CHLOE: Still, I can't say I've regretted any of it. It's been fun at times!

The two of them continue to rest there. Meanwhile, some Silkweed is harvested from the farm, and immediately put to use furbishing the upper floor. 10 units are leftover from the harvest by the time he's done, and 30 Refined Wood is also used.

Then, down in the Everground, Pionobot activates a windbreaker spell! The powers of the wind are channeled downwards, towards the Harpy! The Harpy is slain, and Pionobot's free to approach the Regalia! Now, to shove it into the bag... and maybe think about that thing crawling on the wall. It's getting awfully close, isn't it?

A few other things are then organized. Omo begins to research Symbiote, and 100 Credits are gifted to Nia to upgrade... just the Snowball Maelstrom. Some gifts are also snuck beneath the tree!

Calibri and EN do stuff! Calibri begins by doing some crafting. The True Heroine's Charm is made with a Heroine's Charm, a Bloody Scarf, a Nill Scope, 4 Titanium, and 2 Gold! The box is rolled under the tree. Chloe attempts to hide her blushing upon witnessing the act.

EN then decides that maybe having a Rose Cult aligned sentient tank is a bad idea. They decide to throw 10 Silver Gears and 10 Titanium Ingots at the problem, as well as 10 Sanctified Bricks. These are placed upon Rosie as a trim of sorts. Does this help? At all?

...It seems the tank has calmed down.

ROSIE: SYSTEMS NOMINAL
ROSIE: READY TO SERVE

Ah, good! It probably won't kill you now. Probably.

Auth opens a gift from Nana! The earthly packaging is gently removed, revealing a long wooden box. Off comes the cover, revealing a set of dapper-looking gloves. They're a deep black, with brown highlights around the joints and the wrists. The sleeves are about long enough to cover the arms up to the elbows, and there seem to be enough padding for them to be used as... gardening gloves.

It occurs to him that these may be modified gardening gloves. Still, they're quite dapper. Nana blushes heavily once she seems him holding them. Seems she's a mixture of both overly embarrassed and lovey-dovey.

NANA: U-Um, Merry C-Christmas?
NANA: Is that the saying? I-I don't know, a-and Omo didn't, either...

NANA: I-I wanted to give you something t-that was meaningful, s-so... I-I got you gloves, l-like how you gave me something f-for my a-arms...
NANA: D-Do... d-do you like them? I-I got Marron to help me, s-since I don't have a talent for t-this sort of thing...
NANA: U-Um...

She can't help but look not at the ground, but into Auth's eyes. She requires approval! And maybe some affection. Or, if Chaos's mistletoe drones buzzing overhead are any sign, perhaps something more? Anyway, Symbiotic Sleeves get!

Kalis does some Christmas Crafting! For themselves! Gotta treat yourself, y'know? Anyway, they throw together 8 Shimmering Clusters, and roll them onto the Lucky Seven. This creates the Lucky Eight! It's equipped right away.

Irongutta asks what Magnolia thinks of the color blue. A strange question for an axe, but Magnolia seems invested enough anyway.

MAGNOLIA: Blue is okay.
MAGNOLIA: I like the darker blues, though!
MAGNOLIA: The best color is red, though. That's why I'm red!
MAGNOLIA: Is red a lucky color, too? I bet it is!

MAGNOLIA: ...
MAGNOLIA: Then again, I've been red for the past couple hundred years, so maybe I need a wardrobe change?
MAGNOLIA: It'd be cool to try! I've never done dress up before!
MAGNOLIA: Without a body, I mean.

...Magnolia is probably imagining her bladed self wearing a dress. Can axes wear dresses? Who knows?

<THE AWARDS HANGAR, ROUND FINALE>
Time has stopped, except for those of you with enough Protoenergy! In this final, bonus round of combat, Protemitor is incredibly vulnerable!! They have a 200% weakness to everything, and will suffer automatic ubercrits from each attack! You can absolutely erase them here!

As for those of you who's timestreams have stopped... that's tough. Maybe spend this time going through the present(s) you may have gotten this Christmas season?

Verdana acts first, then Bow Kid, then Auth, then Nidra.

Nettle uses Forest Storm twice on Laranei, once on Nana, then moves to N11 and uses Cherry Energy on the Firework Sentry, Katyusha2, and Katyusha3.

She activates the Megu Patch, and casts Shackling Blast on the Protemitor.
With 23 corpses.

Shackling Planetbuster

Thanks to the Megu Patch, Shackling Blast has +1 Upper Range on the corpse destruction radis. That makes for 23 "corpses", despite most of them actually being alive. Of course, none of them are destroyed, thanks to one of the modifiers of Shackling Blast.

Knowledgeable means that Nettle presently has 33 INT. This means that each corpses grants 70% damage. So, that's a modifier of (1+0.7*23)= 17.1, or 1710%.

Nettle has 19 Protoenergy (19), Loaded Spellbook (2), Enlightened17 (8), Inspiration from The Sleuth (2), Megu Patch (5), Manafuelled (2), Protoaura (10), and Ordo (2) giving her Buff Levels.
19+2+17+2+5+2+10+2 = 59 Buff Levels.
This means that Shackling Blast has a buff level bonus modifier of (1+49*0.1) = 6.9, or 690% (nice)

Thanks to Nettle's last turn, the Protemitor has Teneblight12. This means it has a Dark Weakness of 320%. This is a damage modifier of (1+2+1.2) = 4.2, or 420% (nice).

There's also an ubercrit modifier of 2.5, or 250%.
So, now all that's left is to determine the damage.

33 INT grants the spell +11 damage, so (21-23).

If she rolls 21, then the damage is...
21*17.1*6.9*4.2*2.5 = 26016.795, rounded up to 26017.
If she rolls 22, then the damage is...
22*17.1*6.9*4.2*2.5 = 27255.69, rounded up to 27256.
If she rolls 23, then the damage is...
23*17.1*6.9*4.2*2.5 = 28494.585, rounded up to 28495.

This doesn't include AC though.

NETTLE: It all led to this!

Battle - Protem finale

By all that is holy and holy, both above the heavens and below the pits of hell, in the name of the lord almighty and the dark lord, I cannot stress this enough, Verdana goes first above all other options.

"This is it! On my signal, unleash hell!"

The fusion moves to Q10 and raises one hand, focusing for a moment... then, drawing in all the power of the protoenergy accumulated in him, as well as the nearby protoaura of Lukas, the fusion takes aim at Protemitor and fires off a single, massively-amped Force Nail, directly at N5.

"There, that's your signal! Good luck, everyone!"

Not battle - the house:

"...Hmm."

Calibri inspects possibilities for a while.

"You know, I could probably stop there. A gift is a gift, and all that. Maybe it'd be reasonable. However, -"

He immediately cuts himself off and disappears into the dueling hut again. Bit hard to format that in speech, though.

More making mthings
And we're back in the dueling hut again. Calibri inspects some random inventory things.

"...Damnit, who used all the silver..."

There's a pause.

"...The colour blue. That might work. Hmm... More thought... Maybe an elemental effect..."

After a while, he gathers some materials. Namely, some Plasteel, some Gold just because it's pretty and stuff, and the last Sapphire. He also retrieves a couple of Ashen Clusters and some Incendiary Scraps.

"Better get more silver and gems at some point, huh."

After that, he quickly clears some space and sets down a fireproof material to use as a work surface, connecting up the scraps into a circuit and sticking the Ashen Clusters in the middle-ish region of the incendiary circuit, then compresses the creation down while also encasing it in Plasteel to hold it in. The Plasteel in question is further compressed, and he carefully eyes the Sapphire for a moment, before bringing the two objects together. The world turns dark as flashes of blue light streak out from the Sapphire and compressed Plasteel sphere...

There's a quiet tink as something solid drops to the ground. It appears he's conceptually merged the two pieces together? And now the Sapphire is glowing softly, as well as strangely warm to the touch. Which is pretty neat. Calibri proceeds to carefully stretch some gold around to wrap that in a nice and fairly simple wireframe container made of gold, then quickly uses the power of laser eyeballs and some questionable craft energy manipulation to form a more solid... thingymajiggy. Sort of like a diamond shape with the corners smoothed off, and with enough of a hollow space in the center to fit something in. That something is, of course, the Warm Sapphire. And thus, in it goes. It's visible on both sides of the diamond-shaped container, guaranteeing that if worn properly amulet-style, one side would be visible to all while the other side would be pressing the surface of the warm sapphire against one's chest.

From there, it's simply a matter of assembling a lightweight Plasteel chain so that it can be worn properly in an amulet style, which is easier said than done with goddamn plastic-based substances, but it's still manageable. And with that, it's a completed thingymajiggy.

Resources used:
?x Plasteel Ingots
?x Gold Ingots
?x Ashen Clusters
?x Incendiary Scraps
1x Sapphire

Output:
1x Warm Sapphire Amulet (cosmetic)

While Calibri's busy putting a new gift under the tree, which will probably noted down somewhere else, Verdana takes advantage of the fact that the protem fight is non-canon to pop into this part of the timeline a little earlier than scheduled. He considers what to do for a moment, then has an idea.

"Seeing as there's a crafting bonus right now... and it's, you know, honorary christmas... I might as well join in the fun of crafting!"

And with that, he disappears into the crafting hut.

Words beginning with V
Here we are.

"Alrighty! What could I make..."

Verdana fishes through the inventory for a while, then pulls out a Rage Catalyst, which he stares at for a while.

"You'll do."

He places it gently on the ground, soon pulling out some miscellaneous hardware tools and manually disassembling the catalyst in any way necessary. After that, he performs some quick visual measurements, then pulls out some Electrum ingots from the inventory, along with a pair of Rubies and some Sanctified Bricks. With the power of firey fire on his hands, he melds the Electrum into a shape that would help contain some materials while also being wearable in the same way as the original catalyst, then observes the bricks for a moment.

"Logic dictates I just write down the inscriptions. But maybe it'll be neater if I include these too?"

He writes the inscriptions down on the Electrum as expected, but after that, he proceeds to take hold of the bricks and pump pure Light into them until they break down into dust, which he's quick to infuse into the catalyst and the Electrum. After that, he grabs a ruby in each hand, pressing them against the disassembled catalyst and pushes them together hard, flames soaring around him and a bright red light shining off of his body. Then, in one of the flashes of light, he slips for a moment, and the catalyst is shattered... but immediately, the power surges into the rubies, along with most of the bulk, and so he's left with something that works quite perfectly for his idea.

"Not quite the original intent, but... hehe."

All that's left to do from there is for him to slot the catalyst-charged rubies into the arrangement of inscribed Electrum, and... boom. It's complete. He waits for a moment with it in his hands, securing a few pieces of metal in place with some very careful welding via fire in his hands, then nods in satisfaction at what he has created.

Ingredients used:
1x Rage Catalyst
?x Electrum Ingot
2x Rubies
?x Sanctified Bricks

Result:
(T6) Valor Catalyst
Show them what makes you Special.
(+1 MHP), (+1 STR), (Unrestrained Power)
Physical (20%), Glitch (10%)

Unrestrained Power: Upon using at least 100 SP from your special in a single round, you obtain Lucky7, Empowered5, Enlightened5, and Focused5 for three rounds. These bonuses are applied before your special activates.

As for EN I don't have the time to do a full crafting post with her, sadly, so this is just a quick wee thing. That quick wee thing, naturally, is spending some of one of the precious few Sanctified Alloys left, several of the not so precious Sanctified Bricks, and some gold, all in the name of making damn sure that Rosie's "good" side is in control of them. Once she's done, EN considers things.

"Yeah, tha'll prolly do ya fer now. Anywho, 'ere's some info stuff t' 'elp ya in future."

Confident that Rosie's good side is in control, EN decides to handily provide them with the Codex Monstrum. The entire thing. Yep. As well as a scanner, in case they discover new things and get curious.

Christmas

Maria giggles (as she often does) upon seeing the crate open to a small shower of bananas, which quickly evolves into full-on laughter that leaves her rolling on the floor, even as Venia digs up the real prize and cleans up the bananas.

"Look, Maria! Look! It's a saddle for Cushion!" Venia says.

Maria is too busy laughing her silly little butt off to reply, clearly bemused by the pile of bananas. Cushion and the cats tread over to her.

Meanwhile-ish, Venia manages to see the snippet of misletoe and get very confused. Kisses take priority over questions, however, so she lets her girlfriend have her way without immediate comment, then carefully inserts the Snowflake Earrings into Nia's earlobes as you do. Then, she pulls out a mirror and applies Nia's own earrings to her own ears.

"Oh, they're beautiful, thank you Nia!" Venia says, looking at herself in the mirror.

"... What was with the leaf?" Venia says, holding it up to her hand, carefully. "I, uh. I like kissing but I'unno what that was about in particular. Not really familiar with everything, sorry."

AESTHETIC SLAYER

MR. Krabs and the Maid Crew show no relent whatsoever, and immediately rip all of the doors in the Northern Hallways clean out of their hinges with relentless grace, as well as the two benches, before directing their attention to the Plasteel Cart. Mr. Krabs proceeds to grab the maids by their legs and slam them directly into the cart like they were pickaxes. They don't react at all to the abuse as they slam again and again into the Plasteel Cart until the cart's contents have been completely emptied.

Crafting!

Because birds like dinner

Venia figured that Gibbet could use a big meal, being a growing death bird and all. Getting such was not a problem; Venia casually pulled out... Less a steak dinner and more half of a cow, which looked terribly much like a dozen chefs had ensured its absolute perfection before Venia even touched it, complete with silver platter. Of course, given what Gibbet was, this wouldn't do.

Venia proceeds to spray an ample amount of Mental Cluster dust over the half-of-a-cow, about five units worth of the stuff to start. It would be useful for his psychic abilities. As for his glitch-related ones, Venia answered with an ingot of Sanctified metal, which she proceeds to put into a grinder. An incredibly, incredibly fine grinder, and then forcibly infused with meat. The result could be safely digested by a child with no ill effect, but in Gibbet's case would hopefully infuse some of the power into him. She spreads these meat-chunks over the half-of-a-cow.

She then proceeds to deliver the result directly to Gibbet, being too bird to understand Christmas.

(T5) A really good bloody dinner for a bird
Birds can't award cockades....

Transcending Limitations Probably Just Part One

"... I was expecting to only be doing this far later, but it appears that I can at least make a head start on the device itself, with all that I've obtained," Venia muses to herself in the basement. She has cleaned off Workstation Prime and sorted everything into labeled bins-a bit of a task, but this particular trick would require such forethought as a completely clean bench. She also needed extra space for the Cryotube they had, which she'd be re-purposing. Not too much, but just enough.

She'd start with the easy things. Modified spellbooks of Elveil, for siphoning off an element into the target, packed within an Adaptive Shielding Unit to better siphon off the power. Ember Cores-with thin, hollow metal bars plugged into them to prevent their proper reanimation, but something close to it, enouhg to hold the elemental energy but not actively attack. Liars Flesh along the Ember Cores-their stretchy nature and easy manipulation enabled Venia to warp them around the Ember Cores, manage the elemental energy well, and trade it off into the Blade Strain. To her not-so-modest terror, the Blade Strain was simply the best item for the task, being an injected strand of mutagen from an Iti-which could rapidly attune itself to the proper elemental energy in excess. Half of tdhe Chamber's function was preserving the Iti items in cold storage to prevent their reanimation while keeping them stable. The other half was to accept the excessive elemental power.

The elemental power receptors were.. Familiar to her. Usual procedure at this point. Set up the leylines and impart them into the machine. Except, the sheer power meant that her previous tactic of crushing up elemental crystals and painting on the result wasn't going to work; she'd need something... Relatively exotic. She brought out the Silverwood and the Joltwire. Gaiameld wouldn't do; it was too attuned to Earth Magic. She'd needed something more elementally neutral, which Silverwood fell under, but it wasn't metal, nor as conductive as necessary, which is where the Joltwire comes in-but that too isn't receptive to magical infusion like Silverwood is. The solution is to meld them together, a process that would have been utter hell for a normal mage, and merely a pain for Venia and her concept-manipulating technologies. She casually pulls out a cubical container, edges rounded, and opens it up by the top-hinge, revealing a device suspiciously akin to three Alchemiters side-by-side, with two green spirographs on the left and right flanks. Venia places approximately twenty units of both Joltwire and Silverwood, and then attaches to a battery. And then, she waits for the merging machine to work its magic.

Back to the Iti-relevant parts of the structure, Venia knows she's missing a few things, and figures the time between getting the merged items sorted out could be spent wrapping up the last little bit of problem, but it was arguably the most sensitive. The Iti flesh was receptive to elemental infusion, but by no means easily manipulated to attain one in a short timeframe, much less switch between them. The sheer volume would probably melt average flesh (unless it was Ice magic, but then you'd have every liquid in your body freeze up instantly instead). The strain and other such would barely contain it.

Unless, of course, one added Flux. The Hybridized Matter would serve as an excellent intermediary, not for the presence of Chairian blood but the presence of Flux within the Thyme Matter instead. Mix in more Fluxblood directly, and presto-Thyme Matter of incredible reception to further mutative elements, like excessive magic, without exploding in the process. This, of course, came with another, more severe complication, namely the sheer fact you would be inducing elemental flux directly into your system. Even the Anomalous Perk didn't actually do that. Venia needed a stabilizing unit to ensure the person inside the pod wouldn't get afflicted.

Venia had been working on the plan on how to do it since she got inspired, properly inspired, since the start of the day. It felt like fortune was blowing head-on in her face the instant she started working towards it, though; the things she'd need fell into her lap endlessly. Ember Cores and Liar's Flesh. Fluxblood, and a mixture between it and Thyme Matter (and Chairian sap, but shhhhh). The Blade Strain itself, when you thought about it. Nia's kindness ensured she had a sufficient quantity of elemental crystal, as well. And now, a final solution; an Order Singularity, raw Pulchritude and ordered power in a simple sphere. Most would find it impossible to work with, but Venia found she could mold the orb with somewhat less difficulty than usual. She laced its power along the interior of the cryotube in leylines, as well as in a simple metal cylinder; the metal cylinder she'd insert a hand into to obtain the power. It was, at that point, a process of tedium rather than difficulty.

She had mostly wrapped up the Ordo painting when the merging machine ding'd, and produced for her twenty units of Silverwire-the exact amount she'd need to wire up the whole pod for its new purpose. Charming. The wiring winds up uneventful-just hook up everything to each other to make sure it works, and leave room for receptacles so the energy could be inserted into the system. A bit of Amphi Extract is added into the mixture to ensure energy flows through the system when it starts-only the most trace of amounts would be needed, but she filled the tank with approximately two units full, just in case.

The cryotube readied, Venia inserted the modified casket of Iti flesh into the interior and kickstarted the cooling chambers, inserting everything in with a satisfying click. She then replaced the mangled shell of the Cyrotube, restoring it to its original shape, bar specific indents she had left for the insertion of relics. Six slots total-each would drain the magical power from the items in question and pump them into the system. And, wouldn't you know it? She had just the things.

The Tsunami Regalia slot into five of the six slots with satisfying 'chu-chinks', but the sixth slot required something else; even with the full power of five regalia at once, it required something more. Venia opted to pull out the Chairleg Trident for the occasion, a simple enough tool to withdraw power from.

A test, first, to ensure systems are in order. She prepares a quick spell of localized temporal reversal in case the machine blows up in her face from sheer input. And then, she activates phase one-the draining of the energy.

The machine whirs to life! The internal machinery hums and whirs to life; the Regalia dim and hollow into worthless quartz, while the Chairleg Trident simply shatters from the loss of internal mana structures; the machine whirs. Smoke visibly erupts from the interior-drat! Even for this system, strong as it is, some of the internal components got fried! However, lights turn on-the energy had been transferred one-hundred percent to the flesh. Noise could be heard from within, if one strained to listen, as the flesh writhed from the power it had received. A blue glow comes from the interior of the chamber, briefly, and then subsides.

Everything appears to be working as intended.

"... All systems nominal. I'd best make sure people are watching before I do anything... Drastic. Thankfully I have the time reversal spell set up..."

Materials Expended: 1 Blade Strain Crafting Charge, 1 Cryotube, 1 Chairleg Trident Crafting Charge, 1 Adaptive Shielding Unit Crafting Charge, 5 Tsunami Regalia, 5 Liar's Flesh, 20 Silverwood Logs, 10 Hybridized Matter, 20 Joltwire, 2 Amphi Extract, 10 Ember Cores, 50 Thyme Matter units, 10 Fluxblood, 1 Order Singularity.

(T6 Key Item) Transcendent Chamber
A special sort of chamber for use in the house. Incredibly high maintenance and requires multiple expensive items per use.
If used, may turn you into a Transcendent... Or horrifically murder you. No telling, yet.
(First use free, but that's because Venia already inserted all the required materials).

Requires a laundry list of items to activate:
-5 Regalia OR 1 (T7 Crystal)
-10 Joltwire
-10 Silverwood Logs
-50 Thyme Matter
-10 Hybridized Matter
-10 Fluxblood
-1 T4 or better item with ties to (Element)
-5 Ember Cores
-5 Liars Flesh

This "Item" is placed in the basement of Zone 0, ready for use.

Finale!

Venia waits for anyone moving in Range 1 of her as well as Arthur, Echoss and Nidra to act. If, at this time, Echoss has managed to preserve an Antiflare by some chance, Venia will use it on N5. Then, she will step up to O7, and ping off Creation Spirits 1 and 2 via her basic attack and Tap. Then, she will expend her Ordo at last, and activate Salvation: Resolution!

"CHECKMATE."

She retreats to P8.

Lukas twirls the key around behind his back, and then drives it through the armor of Protemitor Hand 2. It explodes forcefully.
