I know this will sound stupid, but WHO THE HELL IS THE BLACK?!
Also, twin, tell me if the forum for that link gets unblocked. I want to get it and every link I tried was broken.
It would be cool if someone made an album on Imgur for the DTG 2 and DTG:0 fan art, because why not. Make sure you include that salty moment when Jyanpu got the Golden Aster. And when Consumer used me as a living wrecking ball. And when the Earth blew up. And when Uzi introduced Chara, and killed the Omega Flowey.
Oh my God....
What if they make a DTG movie?

The Black is an impossibly OP guy that hates paradoxes. He is canonised by rolling a 1 on a paradox. And no, don't go saying "x can kill the Black because y, z." When he WASN'T TRYING and while non-canon, he could kill people instantly. He also is the reason why I stopped doing paradoxes so frequently on Toast (I mean, it was fun, but yeah; invulnerable instagibbing demons generally sway you from paradoxes).
So yeah.
@Piono, While on the topic, what will your stance on paradoxes be in the reboot?
Paradoxes will still be a thing, but I'll be running them like a mix between Paradox Dimentio and Tazz's methodology. They spit out random things at you, but need to be quarantined and destroyed otherwise they escalate and are potentially reality destroying if you let them grow too big.
I think I may or may not have just become a god of RNG today.
Seriously, my Binding of Issac luck today was straight-up unbelievable.
I beat Ultra Greed as The Lost. I have not gotten the lost to Floor 4 in standard mode at all yet with him. I did not have the Holy Mantle as a starting item (which, interestingly, I unlocked in that same run). That should say something.
OK, dirty business first. First off, I am aware of the fact that I haven't been posting, and can't really say I haven't been. That's stupid. Of course, it hasn't been for reasons of not wanting to. I was drained after the whole incident with Jyanpu. I'm not giving my reasons here and now but I have them and I'm not changing the result. After that, however, well, for summer I had been forced into taking Online Summer classes on the basis that, it's either those or no chance of getting out of college in 4 years. I thought little of it until I actually looked at the classes: They are complicated beasts. To put it quick, the new time schedule I have makes updating impossible even if that's all I do in the day other than the classes.
In other words, I currently cannot GM DTG0.
We are looking into solutions for this whole major issue, though it's going to either be ending it prematurely (and getting a GM for it fast as Piono isn't in a position to do it), doing an intermission that is three months long to cover the gap, or, possibly, both at the same time. At this point, we can't really say anything beyond what are options boil down to at this stage of the game. I'll say this much, it's almost been a year and I went in half-expecting this to fail before we got very far-that it got this far at all is amazing to me, but if it's the end of the road, I'll accept that. But I'd really prefer it if this WASN'T the case.
If we don't kill off DTG0, then by the time we get back to it the field situation will basically be wiped, for the record, with only a few entities remaining (godmodders aside, The Paradox Casino, Ampersand and Chara) and all three factions getting a contingent force to get stuff done. As for what the intermission may consist of, well, we're still considering options at this time.
Either way...Expect the current update to not get changed in a while.
There's one thing we DO need, either way: GMs. It may be temporary (Intermission) or it may be permanent (Reboot) but we need them and we will need them very, very soon. For the record, no GM has any experience prior. You don't have to be eloquent, you just have to be understood by the majority-we will have standards about this, but the key points are Time and sheer freaking Determination to do consistent updates (I feel that me being unable to get the latter done is my downfall here) that could be interpreted as a mental disorder it's so strong, rather than literary skill or even skill with actual GMing. Reasons are twofold: First, as far as DTG goes, all experience that can be earned will be earned on-the-job. Twin had 0 experience with GMing anything prior, I hadn't had much better, and given what we've somehow managed to accomplish with our times as the GM we are going to assure you that, no matter how hard it is, you can almost certainly do it. The other issue is my lack of time and occasional lack of determination is ultimately responsible for the already-spotty update schedule beforehand and I will readily admit that. This is going to apply BOTH WAYS: You are either going to GM the Intermission or GM the Reboot, and we (that being basically the council of canon GMs) will be deciding the best guy for the job.
We need you guys to help us right now. If you think you have the time and you have the determiation, say as much and we will hear you out. We will certainly try to help you to the best of our abilities.
Contact me and/or Twin (preferrably both), either through Pesterchum or through Private message, to inquire.
I really don't want DTG to crash and burn, doubly not like this.
EDIT: Oh, one more thing. As far as GM application goes, I'm going to HEAVILY disprove the use of using it to further any personal RP. For all due intent and purposes, personal RP in the GM position is a slippery slope, and if your plan involves it, I'd suggest rewriting it. Other than that, I'm fair game for anything.
Listen, everyone. I don't want DTG to die. I am not willing to see years of work from me and all of you go down the drain. If you have an interest in keeping this game alive by moderating it for three months - just one summer - then I will gladly be there to assist you and give you tips. I'd like to think I have some experience now, even though I pretty much did whatever as I went along. I will say this: I am in no way GMing DTG0. If I ever do, it will be as a last resort.
What I COULD do, though, is moderate an Intermission. This Intermission would not be grounded in the main battlefield of DTG0, and would be for all intents and purposes a side game. However, it would have relevance in the plot of the main game, would not explicitly be a way to further my own plot, and would have an interesting game mechanic. I haven't thought of the idea yet, and I'm only doing it IF we don't get a GM to moderate DTG0. But if we don't... Then I'll seriously consider doing it.
Please, PLEASE, contact both of us. We need someone with the time and the determination to pull this off, and someone who's willing to trudge through all the statistics and values needed to keep track of damage and entity stats and all the complicated contrivances needed to run this game behind the scenes. You'll acquire skill as you go - I did, and Tazz did. DTG1, TT2000's game, wasn't NEARLY as complicated as either of these games - and it was still amazing. Amazing enough to spawn this legacy.

I have already stated my case on pesterchum, but for the sake of reasons, i will repost it here.
I can safely say i have massive amounts of one thing. That is too say, time. I have at minimum on a school day 7 hours of free time. And on a friday or weekend, even more.
I know i lack skill, but due to timezones and such, i can easily get help or advice from any of the GMs if needed, and i intend to take crictism as i go along and acquire the skill necessary to run the game on my own. And with summer vacation coming up, i will effectively have unlimited time.
This is our chance to save DTG0, and while i may not be the best of the potential GMs, a lot of said potential GM's already stated why they could not on pesterchum.
DTG0 is basically what really brought me into the DTG series. As of late, i have been actually thinking about GMing a game, but have decided not to because i really don't have good ideas. That aside, this game has not exactly had the best of lifespans, but it would be nice to see it though.
So please, if you have an idea or want to GM and have the time and determination to talk to them, please do. If you would perfer pesterchum over messaging on the forums, i can provide links and pestertags, if needed as such. This, as i said, is our chance to save this game, or replace it, if you so wish. As both Twin and Tazz said, contact them for further information. I have already spoken about this on the memo, and only relatively few people are interested in GMing it as is- a lot of people have suggested intermissions and such, and while that is not bad, it does show a lack of people who actually have the time and determination to fully GM this game, or just lack interest to run it as is.
And a fair number of those people are at least somewhat serious about this game. What about the people for whom a big post is one paragraph, or the people who play it just for fun?
Honestly, i think we lack manpower in the "Take Up the Game and Temporarily GM it as it is" department, so we really need people.
As i said, if interested, contact twin or tazz.

. And you know what the best part of all this is? You'll DO it. And then you'll lose to me again. And again. And again!!! Because you want a "happy ending." Because you "love your friends." Because you "never give up." Isn't that delicious? Your "determination." The power that let you get this far... It's gonna be your downfall!
"THIS IS EQUAL PARTS FUNNY AND SAD."
"STOP LAUGHING AND KILL THE BUNNY!"
"YOU'RE GETTING QUOTED ON THAT ONE, CALLING IT NOW. WHY ARE YOU LOSING IT OVER ONE ENEMY ANYWAY?"
"I DON'T KNOW! THERE'S A BLANK SCREEN WHENEVER I PERFORM A MEMORY SEARCH! NOTHING SHOWS UP!"
I figured I'd publicly put this here to see what popular support is, but until I leave for basic training on July 12th I will be willing to run an intermission game of DtG with an emphasis on mechanical creativity, possibly called DtG: Calvinball. If you've read my posts on mechanical creativity and are interested I'd appreciate if you let Tazz know so he can gauge support and make a decision from there. I'm also volunteering to handle DtG:0 while I'm here.

DtG: Neutral, just wants to see that big tree in the middle.
Your flavour text lacks zest. Perhaps you should add some intelligence, hmm?~
Which kind of things would you like to see in this WC3 map?
Currently players each have a godmodder and can summon every WC3 unit they want by typing its name (and can summon multiple units by placing commands like batch and waves and placing multiple names in the same text).
Of course godmodders have insane dodging (98% chance of avoiding any attack) and they only take 1 damage from a successful attack and become immortal for 2 seconds after being damaged and they can do automatic field wipes each time they loose 5 HP(higher or lower than the actual rate in DTG)
Which kind of boss would you like to see for example?(I think I will put some kind of trial mechanic: you can summon a boss but if it die you lose health)
Well, a lot has already been said about the hiatus of the game, and mostly I'm sad that the game slowing down like this has probably lost us a fair few good players, but I don't want to see this thing burn.
The reboot will be a thing (hopefully DTG0 will finish being a thing first instead of imploding) and although I'm not finished putting together groundwork lore (Putting stuff together so we have something for GM(s) to fall back on and say "this is how things are" definitively in the reboot) hopefully I will be by the time it's needed.
As a note, I've probably got more experience running forum games than anyone else here except maybe twin (and even then, that's only a maybe) so I'm here for anyone that wants help or advice.
I don't know if this would be appropriate, but for some time I have been preparing a sidequest for the Terraria session based on Hand of Fate. It could be ported here without too much trouble. However, I am not particularly well-versed on the structure and nuances of sidequests. Does anyone have a link to a previous sidequest handy?

2. You can vote to attack stuff during the day and do your power during the night, like a typical mafia game
3. There's an HP system
4. Inferno Disciple is best role
5. Above all else, it's just a game of total insanity and teams screwing each other over until the very least minute
Oh man... So, work and other things have kept me from getting out a response, but... phew, this is terrible. I'm happy to see we have people stepping up to the plate for the summer, at least. That's good. I'm not sure what to say at this point that hasn't been said already. DTG is my creation, and I certainly don't want to see it die! If nobody else is determined to be "good enough", I might be able to do an intermission. I couldn't do the main story, as I feel utterly incapable of managing the godmodders, writing, and everything else Tazz has planned without horribly ruining it or at least causing major problems for future canon. I'm not even sure what it would be about... maybe me becoming a horrible murdering despot GM me giving everybody candy! Of course, I'd rather let someone else take the handle on this, let new people into the limelight if only for a few months. Only me as a last resort, though "before Twin's last resort" last resort. I don't want to put him through anything like that again.
I wish Tazz absolutely nothing but the best of luck with his schoolwork, and hope we can #saveDTG2K16.
I don't know if I'm doing this properly but I already messaged Tazz and I've seen other people announcing they would be willing to GM on here so I felt I should too, I know I'm new here but I would be willing to GM as I tend to have a lot of free-time during the summer. Also on a random note, I'm glad Tazz isn't undoing the Golden Aster decision as, regardless of my personal feelings, to take it back after it was announced would be atrociously unfair to Jyanpu.
Another thing: I may be able to cook up a program that automatically does the EOTB (or at least a skeleton of an EOTB), which should help out whoever ends up becoming the GM as well as solving the problem with the entity spam (namely, it giving the GM a headache, with an EOTB program it gives me a headache instead accounting for all the different types of abilities).

Only me as a last resort, though "before Twin's last resort" last resort. I don't want to put him through anything like that again.I wish Tazz absolutely nothing but the best of luck with his schoolwork, and hope we can #saveDTG2K16.
Check out my bad CTM map reviews here.
What if I could help Tazz with the summer stuff so that he could continue to update?
