Just so everybody knows, when I put things in double parenthesis ((like this)) it means I'm writing OOC.
Yeah, no, that's good, and the generally accepted format for doing so, good work on the double checking though.
I also congratumalate you on joining the Forge! Not enough people do that.
Also, shameless plug here, No Mercy continues for any people interested in random Undertale fan comics.
Goat Ma dies, very cri, much sad.
Tazz, shouldn't the Shield of Murderous Intent be protecting Chara from its summoning? Changing it would be too hard at this point (Well, impossible without wasting lots of time, which is the opposite of what any of us want), but I meant it to be an add-on to Chara to reduce her glass-cannoniness, not a standard entity that does actions, which is why I compared it to the shield.
This is why I should design entities before creating my posts.
It was a 50 post charge, which is 200,000 damage. I'd be kidding if I thought that it didn't well overkill both the Shield and the remaining HP of the Suit of Knives, but if the latter isn't the case than Chara will not be Caged. I can't check it mid-dop, I do damage calcs AFTER responses for the most part (and edit in deaths afterwards) to save time.
Y'know... Tazz could use a hand doing updates. Have you ever thought of getting someone to help you, Tazz?
That was an idea suggested to me during DTG2. I don't think it would work for a number of reasons, even though the idea sounds beneficial in theory. I actually think it would take more work to have assistant/multiple GMs because they'd need to know the ins and outs of GMing, how to calculate damage, how to determine which attacks go through and which don't, and respond to alchemies and the like. They'd need to have as firm of a grasp on the story, entity attack patterns, and player actions as Tazz does, and I don't think that's something you can get a crash course in.

As somebody who has assisted a GM in a similar thread (by taking over it entirely) I can confirm.
I think we have a self-propogating problem. The longer it takes Tazz to update, the more posts pile up for the next update, and the longer the next update takes.
@The Update Problem: Tazz, try reducing player actions to one a round. Cuts your update load by a third. And try telling people to simplify their posts a bit.
This may not help because the Minecraft DtG is much different from TVTropes, but I think it may help.

Honestly, I am reluctant to go for 1 post per turn AT BEST. I am extremely reluctant because I do not consider it actually good just for gameplay reasons-I consider any MORE than two to be asking too much of players, but at the same time, only ONE drags out charge times to unfortunate levels. The fact is, most of this is on my end anyways, and almost never because of the actual workload, but even if I got a clear day the sheer complexity of these posts will, without doubt, require 3 days to work with (1 for the response updates of the inevitably split update, then 1 for EoTB, possibly 2), and I'm honestly OK with that as, at this point, it could be considered that the break times are actually beneficial to the players, makes it feel much less rushed and allows for quality posts. At this point delays are the sad, but true expectation of literally everyone here.
Unless I get a big majority vote from everyone present that they'd rather suffer through one update over seeing me get consistently delayed (or rather delayed less) there is literally no advantage to this whatsoever that outweighs the downsides. And it is a considerably worse downside than if it were anywhere else, as this is coming off of DTG2 and Twin's insane record of allowing 3 posts per turn and updating DAILY, with extremely rare pauses. Plus, I'm driven away by that; it just feels like too little, and I left TvTropes because of it. Though that may have just been TvTropes itself doing displeasing work: I will admit I am not a fan of the TvTropes forum.
While your help is appreciated, I do not consider the OTHER idea to be remotely beneficial to gamplay revolving around creative actions.
It may be late in the game for this, but as a suggestion you could ask that people condense their two posts into one post with two actions and restrain written (versus mechanical) creativity to moments of great effort. As an example, I'm planning on several posts crafting tow hooks and iron boots, then I'll charge a fifty post to make the battlefield fly so I can tow it towards Yggdrasil, and I'm only going to pull half a novel out my ass when it comes tow-time. Makes for easier reading and sometimes the only input you would require would be saying, 'Nah, you'll have to charge to summon that'.
Hiya! I'm ArcaneDreamer (Or just Dreamer. Whichever~!)
I was introduced to DTG by my friend OldSithRevan, who lured me here and forced me to create an account convinced me that this is a great game to join!
Hopefully I won't mess up the timeline and stuff. Ehehe....
@Tazz: We've had at least a few people drop off because of the slow update times, I think this issue should be brought up in thread via a poll, because as of just before the Omega Flowey Fiasco, updates take a week apiece.
You said you wanted to get this game done in less than five years? One update a week is not going to help that.
My biggest issue with the rate at which updates get done is that people have started missing stuff in the updates again, because they wait until their posts get responded to, then make a post, then wait until the next update comes out or whatever. A lot fewer total-readings (or total-skimmings as is usually the case) or whatever the case to be able to see what's going on is happening.
And also that, by this point, we'd be getting our charges done faster IRL time-wise if we had 1 charge per round.
So I say we put it up for a vote.
Although whitecandle does have a point, a lot of the time we do have a tendency to mistake long windedness for creativity. Short, but creative posts don't get bonuses a lot of the time. Doing something to try and encourage reducing the length of day-to-day posts would probably make it so that updates wouldn't take as long.
@arcaneDreamer: Welcome, and good luck messing up the timeline any more than it's already been screwed up. Because trust me, we already busted it pretty hard.

@Whitecandle: ...Holy gorilla. That towing thing is an amazing idea, and I feel like I should help you with it. Sadly, a current project precludes that, but yeah, that's awesome.

I approve of a vote, seems like a good idea to make everyone aware, seeing as how not everyone watches the off-topic thread.

I think it's a wonderful idea too, but now Consumer is going to beat me up for tipping my hand.

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.
My reaction on the No Mercy ending in-game:
"srry snes, i cen't go 2 hell. tem haz cooleg" (If your character is named Temmie)
Vermiculus Regis surrexit de tenebrae ad suo soliu
He ate the bread that he made from stone
He fell from the Temple, never broke a bone
Bowed down to the Emperor and watched as former King was overthrown
He sits alone on his throne.
(OOC: Okay found The Forge, thank you for directing me here Piono)

No problem supercool. Just remember to keep off-topic posts here in the future.

Messing with the time line is not punished at all.
If you kill both godmodders it just make some rolls on a paradox table.
There is ways to avoid negative outcomes of the paradox table so do not worry at all you just have to build some of them.
