Exactly how does the DTG: Operator work, how more complicated is each action post from Tvtropes DTG, and what's the general summary?
First off, who are you from TvTropes DTG, if you're from there and not just asking around? I'm Tazz from there, as is obvious.
Second off, welcome! For now, as per the scenario, the Godmodder is down to 2 HP! We are currently raiding a tower that the Godmodder has holed himself into. There are two paths by two teams: Team Excavate (Who is going down the tower) and Team Excelsior (Who is going up it). Both are equally important, but Excelsior is the team that will eventually confront the Godmodder for the most recent macguffin, while Excavate will revive the ruins of a super-dead tree, destroying the tower entirely. Excavate is currently trying to kill the Kool-Aid Man before ichorium (harder than Bedrock) buzzsaws cut through their Elevator Cable, sending them backwards. Meanwhile, Excelisor is dealing with the infamous Hellkite Dragons, who have a list of immunities the size of the freaking sun, and we're using attacks that circumvent those overly-specific resistances.
Mechanically: You can have 3 Charges and can give two assists, unlike TvTropes. You also CANNOT just throw out 2 + 1s like you can in TvTropes; You MUST designate who gets them. Also, Charges are limited to a cap of 50 at max. There are also 3 Alchemy slots, separate from the standard Charges, but they cannot be assisted. These can't be assisted, and they're kind of complicated. Basically, you use two random items and get a third item for use in combat by means of And (&&) and/or Or (||). And combines the two's forms and functionality, while Or combines the form of the first with the function of the second (in that exact order). It's complicated, so if you don't want to deal with that I can just throw you an Alchemy or two that's worth your while, but it is partially your job to keep track. They do carry damage bonuses, so it's worth it, but they're not ridiculous damage bonuses and you could do similar with a sufficiently creative attack...Or make a sufficiently creative attack along with the Alchemy for better damage. Last but not least, there are Combat Operandi and Battle Techniques (as well as Comb Raves), but new players don't get those immediately so don't worry about them for now.
Exactly how does the DTG: Operator work, how more complicated is each action post from Tvtropes DTG, and what's the general summary?
Hey there! DTG2's gameplay is pretty different from TVTropes; for one, there's no real zone mechanic (there was but it was abolished), and the only reason the field is cut in two is because everyone's split up into two teams right now. There's also a charge cap (50 posts) and you can only post three times per turn. You may want to check out the Alchemiter as well, which lets you combine multiple items into one superior item (but those need to be charged!). You can make three charges and three alchemies at a time, and you can +1 two charges per post.
Since this forum has a quote system, there aren't the huge walls of text present in TVTropes, and the updates are split into three segments: the first one is where I respond to all the quotes, the second is the "End-of-Turn Battle" where all the entities act and events happen, and the third is all the entity stats. It's a lot like TVTropes in that regard.
You can find a fairly detailed summary in the original post under the "Story so Far" section, or you can head to the wiki's page on Destroy the Godmodder 2. Both of them have the same summary, so choose whatever you want. If you don't want the ENTIRE summary, at least read the summary of Act 4, which will greatly explain the current situation you're in.

The Alchemized stuff can take 1 to 10 turns to make.

Oh, you're Lord Herobrine! I recognize you from the war reports.
You don't have to separate things with lines like that, just so you know. Spaces will do. If you want to do that though, that's okay.
Alchemies are formatted like this: Item A && Item B = Item C (Level X: X/X). && can be replaced with ||, and keep in mind you don't just have to alchemize TWO items at once, it can be more! Two is good enough for most, though. And the level an alchemy isn't doesn't gauge how many TURNS an alchemy takes to make, it's just POSTS. So a Level 2 alchemy would take 3 posts to make, and could be completed in a turn since you're allowed 3 posts a turn.
Battle Techniques, Combat Operandi, and Comb Raves ALL need to be earned by leveling up, and you'll unlock them as you do. You can tell what Special Attacks you've unlocked in the "The Echeladder" section of the original post; it's in a spoiler tag. Keep in mind you'll only gain access to your Comb Rave at Level 10, but you'll steadily unlock Special Attacks before then.
God Dammit Editor... so What is Courier New and A/C/G/T/U Guidelines can you Answer please?
Also Two more Q/As
Q: What is my Current Level in DTG 2?
A:
Q: After DTG 2, Can we get Perks from DTG 2 and Entities Weapons and Items Carry over from DTG 2? (some Entities Carried over from DTGC by TT2000)
A:
Okay, this is Courier New. It's what MS Paint Adventure's text is. Well, THIS is what MS Paint Adventure's text is: bolded Courier New. You can bold posts by clicking the large "B" button in the editor, and Courier New can be accessed by the Font Family menu.
The A/C/G/T/U thing is that your chumhandle can only use the letters A, C, G, T, and U, like in Homestuck. Remember how Dave's handle is turntechGodhead, which uses T and G and is TG for short. Also, chumhandles should try to represent some aspect of your personality/interests, like how Dave's represents his love of ill beats.
The Echeladder isn't completely up to date yet, but right now you're at Level 4.
No. As far as I know nothing carried over from DTG to DTG2.
As a matter of fact, they CAN be anything you pull out of hammerspace. I've done that before, though you can manually collect interesting things from other entities as well or whatever interesting things you find. Also, the Alchemies take their level + 1 turn to make in terms of posts, so a Level 10 Alchemy takes 11 turns, which I think you might have mistaken. Maybe. I may have just derped. Other than that, you have it dead correct, that'll work. The Alchemiter has more features than that, but at it's core that's what's most important. Oh, and you keep the items used to Alchemize the item, so alchemizing the 'Adze' or the Axe that could Chisel wouldn't consume the Chisel nor the Axe. It's very fun, and very useful as well.
If you're planning on sticking around, then welcome aboard, Lord Herobrine.
I just took a peek at the thread, and I nearly go overwhelmed at the dedication of all the players....
I also have no idea how the physical terrain is from both teams, and I'm wondering if I can't just air drop myself onto Yggdrasil.
In the Tvtropes battlefield, I'm in space. Canon-wise, I can fall through a parallel dimension, fall out into the highest Anvil height, and plummet towards the top of Yggdrasil.
Otherwise, I'm going to need some description to orient myself on what the areas each teams are in.
I think Excavate is inside an elevator headed to the bottom with several PG entities trying to bring it down. Must be an elevator bigger on the inside.
Is Excelsior in the branches fending off divebombing dragons?

Yup , your correct, mostly. Team excelsior is climbing the Godmodders tower/ temple fighting The hellkite dragons. After they get hurt they all become immune to that type of damage. Oh, and hi .
I just took a peek at the thread, and I nearly go overwhelmed at the dedication of all the players....

Alright, you can't transport yourself from one point to another instantly like that. In fact, you're pretty much going to remain stationary, as your movement will be judged by the challenges that are completed; Team Excelsior will move upwards after each challenge and Team Excavate will move downward after each challenge. So, terrain-wise, here you go:
You're not on the primary Battlefield, but all the entities have followed everyone here anymore. You're at the ruins of Yggdrasil, which is far away from the Battlefield and is at the origin point of the server, X=0, Z=0. Yggdrasil is surrounded by a large Mesa biome and is in the middle of a circular glade, situated away from all the chaos. Yggdrasil is, in essence, a world tree thousands of blocks tall and wide that powers the entire world and guards the First Block, a world-changing artifact.
The First Block was used earlier to stop the Homestuck Invasion, where it traveled into the Void, where it remains. Yggdrasil was actually destroyed by the resulting explosion and energy! Only several jagged chunks of wood and a large crater remain where the giant tree once stood, and the Godmodder has since built the Tower on top of its remains. The Tower is an extremely tall, well, tower, that isn't built in any normal Minecraft blocks. Near the Tower is a quartz temple that actually acts as the server's spawn (meaning that you can get there via /spawn and that all killed players respawn there), so a large crowd of players has assembled at the bottom of the Tower as a result.
The ground floor of the Tower contains a spiral staircase and an elevator. Team Excelsior traveled up the spiral staircase and is now several floors up on the first challenge, which is a very large room that contains the Hellkite Dragons, nearly all the entities (some went with Excavate), and Team Excelsior themselves.
Team Excavate headed down the elevator, which is traveling down the very large elevator shaft and plans to head to the bottom floor of the Tower, where the roots of Yggdrasil remain intact. The Elevator is fairly big, and contains a hole in its ceiling and floor. The players can jump through the ceiling hole to reach the top of the elevator, which is where the Elevator Cable is. Entities will spawn at the top of the elevator and try to destroy the cable, which will result in game over. However, there is a platform attached to the bottom of the elevator that can be accessed by heading down the hole in the floor. Entities can and will spawn there, too.
The elevator contains turrets that can fire upwards at entities on top of the elevator but can't fire below the elevator. Players can jump to the top and try to stop what's at the top themselves, but at a risk of taking counterattack damage. They must jump down to the bottom and attack what's at the bottom, since the turrets can't. Entities on the bottom can't attack the cable, though!
Right now, Excelsior isn't in the branches of Yggdrasil as I stated, they're climbing the Tower. They have to stop the Hellkite Dragons, which can only be killed by varying types of elemental damage! As they take damage, they become immune to the types of damage they've been killed by...
So, with the majority of the players in Excelsior, I think I should hop over to Excavate.
At that point, would my path start from x=0; y=0, run to the tower (one post), Start going down the stairs (second post) and book it down the shaft to the bottom of the elevator (third post)?
Also what constitutes as a Turn and a Post? Can you get three posts per time that you summarize everything, or do we have to wait on every post for you to do a summary?

All players spawn in the Tower, so don't worry about getting there! Saying that you join a team doesn't even count as an action; attacking does.
A post is a player action, and three can be done per turn. The turn ends when I make an update, and then the new turn begins, when you can make three more posts. So if you make three posts before I post, then you'll have to wait for me to update to continue acting.
Let the Anarchy begin.

Btw Yaiba, Homestuck is not an application/tool. It is an amazing (in my view but I'm a fanatic) webcomic created by Andrew Hussie. A lot of references come from there. It's not mandatory reading, but it helps.
Unfortunately, it's also an epic length webcomic. It's MASSIVE. I might binge read it in college, but not beforehand.
Whenever Twin is doing the update, does he do it in parts, or if the thing in quotes is just there but not filled in, does it mean it works?
He does one massive post but occasionally drops partdops on us.
Just go read HS. It is awesome. If nothing else, though, for a Hussie Primer, you could try reading Problem Sleuth. It has some of the same things. And is equally awesome.

No, all you really do is need to join a team. It would only take about 1 post to do that, and i don't think it deletes an action.
1 Turn = 1 Twin Post, 1 Post = 1 Post You Make.
