I'm beginning to suspect that rather than not having English as his first language, he's just doing deliberately bad grammar as an 'excuse' to fail to participate productively. Pricey, if this is not the case, I apologize for the remark, but honestly, so far it just seems like you're a troll.

It is likely there is a mild language barrier- he used Japanese characters in two of his relatively-recent posts, suggesting he is natively Japanese or knows it as a mother tongue/better than English. Even if there is, though, that's no excuse for ignoring Twin's wishes. He can always just put posts through Google Translate or a similar language translator, no matter how bad the translation may be it would at least help him understand it.

EDIT: I just checked his profile and he's a fan of Japanese culture, greatly explaining the characters. Hypothesis revised to either a very young child or a troll.

I must agree, though, the random capitalization does not support that hypothesis. Someone on Pesterchum commented he "reads like a badfic" and I must agree, his posts do seem deliberately bad.

DANG IT!

I downloaded some FNAF3 fangame that's supposed to suck hard, and i can see the quality already when the graphics look like something from Sanicball and there's clearly stolen music (Earthbound?) on the title. Would do a screenshot-and-comment LP, but it fullscreens and i don't know how to unfullscreen it. And we all remember the last time i tried to record a video (1 frame a second, anyone?)

Well, I have a problem now that colors don't work anymore. I have two characters that talk in the same font, and Sanford and Hank are in the same place.

@crystal: I would just like to say, you have extremely impressed me good sir. You've been here, what, less than a month? And it already feels like you're one of the veterans. Thanks for the research, and we're glad to have you. Just wanna say that out loud.

@pit: You don't look like an idiot, just because the game is so crappy you can't even MST3K it properly doesn't make you stupid, it makes the game So Bad Its Horrible (tvtropes, of course). Come to think of it, self-deprecation seems to go around a little too much on the thread. I think that me, net, ninjatwist, pricey and goanna are the only ones with posts to be ashamed of (that are regulars by any definition). All five for very clear reasons, and none of them are unforgivable.

Actually, I'd like to give overanalysis, because I'm bored.

me: Well, I've gotten better. I went three times of doing the exact opposite of how one plays successfully, and the fourth time, it took me a while to start being useful.

ninjatwist: An idea he didn't think all the way through, and not paying enough attention to the GM for a little while. I'm a perpetrator of both.

net: the argument with HEX, already discussed that to death with twin.

pricey: Still not sure on that, might be a troll, might not be, who knows?

goanna: I think that goanna might actually be interested in joining the times he jumps in. I mean, he uses those ridiculously big pictures, but after people started commenting on him, he stopped posting them so big. He just likes to use pictures in his attacks. At the very least, he followed the thread up until the most recent time he posted, as he knew about the anti-goanna turret, and instead of posting a picture or something noobish, he targeted that to try and jump in.

Just a note: if goanna posts again, I wanna be nice to him and ask him if he's going to stay. If he like posts a stupid Rick Astley gif or something that takes up the whole page, then we set him as troll, but right now, I think he was just trying something that didn't work, and then ended up not having time to participate (or not remembering to) like he thought he would.

I agree with Piono wholeheartedly. Crystalcat, you have impressed me beyond belief with your unusually high skill in this game, and your ability in general. I haven't had any faith in newcomers since Generic and Net joined, and you seem to have restored it.

Also, Piono, do you not remember the HEH incident? I definitely have something to be ashamed of directly.

@piono & erelye: Thanks! I wasn't expecting to be accepted to that extent so soon. Still, if you draw from the deck of new people you'll get a lot of bad eggs and a few golden apples. And I just mixed my metaphors, didn't I. Archive trawling likely improved my knowledge/performance tremendously-I have a habit of learning everything I can about new things. No, Generic. I meant after you two joined. It was a gradual affair, that began upon my own lack of interest. I apologize if you thought that I lost faith because of you. If anything, it was Net who initiated the spiral, if it can be attributed in any way whatsoever to a singular person.

If people want to self-deprecate, it's really none of your business. Self deprecation is generally just something people say, and if it isn't, do you really think anything you say will change their mind?

You only have one Battle Technique right now: Rock Solo. Electric Guitar does not exist as a Battle Tech, yet. Of course, that does not stop you from attempting something like that at all. Power to you. You can literally pull a tuba out of your rear end, play a few notes, and through that action summon the Robotic Death Whale of Gatling Gun Element to crash into some enemies, and that will probably work. no, seriously.

That, and really, being an Otaku is not at all the issue. Japanese culture for the win, mate! Instead, I've found that it's a massive Berserk Button for most of the longer-time players to ignore/upset TwinBuilder, period. He's a pretty cool guy all things considered and put a lot of extra time and effort into the game and made it amazing.The players who do usually wind up with a LOT of flak, and for that matter he IS the GM. He made the rules. That, and Twinbuilder has made it apparent that he would really appreciate it if you stopped talking for anyone other than yourself and your summons (Fail Mage).

To be honest, Pricey, it seems like you aren't doing a very good job of reading the updates I make every turn. That, or you skip them entirely. You don't seem to respond to things I say to you, such as that your charge won't be a Boss AG and that you can't talk as other players or entities, only your own. I don't know if this is deliberate or not, but I'd like it if you made an effort to respond to the things I say.

Erelye, I thought the HEH incident was interesting at the time. Early installment weirdness is something pretty much everyone has gone through. Remember that up to a certain point, insert was a blue PGO, that most of net's early actions are invalid now because of HEX, everything of mine before Eric leaves, and so on and so forth, all of us sort of made it up as we go along.

And fseftr, self deprecating humor is one thing, I engage in that sometimes, as its easiest to make jokes about things you know, and one of the things a person knows best is themselves. But there is a difference between making jokes about ones own flaws, real or not, and insulting yourself out loud. Its not a good thing when someone does the second, because that's a good way to harm one's self esteem even further than it generally has to be to start doing that regularly. And yes, telling people that they aren't horrible, but the opposite of that, does help. That's THE number one way to do it, and I don't like the idea of people suffering that don't deserve it, especially if I know them, even if just over the internet.

There aren't any active people in this community who are actually horrible people. Horrible people are worse on the internet, because then they can't get caught. Everyone in DTG is friendly and tries to be supportive. Sometimes we get angry, but that's okay, people do that. You guys are great, and I don't think there's any real exceptions to that, and I mean it. And if you think you're an exception to being a good person, well you're wrong. You almost certainly are. If you've got evidence to the contrary, you just need to work harder at being what you actually are.

I know this from experience, very few people are bad or evil at heart, most are just misguided or stuck.

I've been here ever since... some time but I rarely do jack squat so it doesn't matter.
