The crosshairs blink between green and red very rapidly. The VIEWFINDER makes several loud hissing noises, then rotates 720 degrees vertically. The two spheres at its ends glow alternating hues of green and red, bathing the entire room in the colors.
Out from the top sphere, a small green orb appears. Imbued inside of it are rotating fractals, akin to the ones that would compose a spirograph. It then, like the rest of the machine, alternates between red and green, then disappears in a blinding flash of light.
When you can see again, the VIEWFINDER has returned to its original settings.
I take out my copy of the Mercurian Malady, get ready for combat...

But Nimbleguy did just that. It appears that pressing SELECT and FIRE in conjunction can be only be done periodically. You'll have to wait for the feature to be usable.

There is just enough room between the bridge and the lava falls to do this. I take the first step onto the bridge and swing myself over the side under it, grabbing one of the ropes underneath it, thus, putting no strain onto the structure...but this might... My Jump Kit fires up, and swiftly pushes me along to the end. *CRACK*Crap.
One of the supports on the far side cracks. In response, I flip myself over the bridge with the assistance of my Jump Kit and adjust my trajectory. I have enough momentum and I'm close enough that a mid-air boost is enough to get me all he way to the other side, but I hit the ground hard, tumbling a bit before stopping.

I examine my boot. The tip is covered with stone, and I'm badly burnt, but I still have a job to see through. I secure the bridge and pull the ropes taught after fixing the broken support by grafting my Copper Sword to both ends of it.
"The bridge is stable!" I yell to the other side, "just watch the planks!"

Pionoplayer is on the BRIDGE already, but what you just did has no effect on his current position and well-being.

Hey Doc. I think you misjudged something. First post 500 damage was fine, having a fire resistant carapace and all, but there is no way in the nether i believe you that when in my second post last turn that hitting a pawn over his head with a titanium sided flamethrower did only 500 damage.

Wilson pressed the small pressure plate with the letter Q on it. A q appeared on the screen inside the middle white rectangle. So this device was used to interact with things on the screen. After more experimentation, Wilson discovered that some of the pressure plates had other functions, such as removing letters already on the screen or inserting a space. The pressure plate with a small upwards arrow allowed him to input uppercase letters. Now, there was probably some kind of code that he needed to put in to continue.

It's a wooden bridge suspended to the platforms on either side of it through very flimsy ropes. That's all there is to it.
The DERSE ARMY once again charges at the players. The KNIGHTS deal 7 damage to Leonstar0 and the PAWNS deal 7 damage to ManiacMaster. The KING leads his troops and then attacks directly, killing Leonstar0. He then rolls a critical hit, dealing 10 damage to TT2000 and PitTheAngel. Irecreeper's buff flickers slightly. Two more turns, and it will be gone. STRUDELKITTY stares down the BLACK KING. She then switches out CALEDSCRATCH for the BEGGAR'S BAZOOKA, and unloads three rockets at the BLACK KING, who takes 13,500 damage.
Dimentiosome, in the FORGE, prepares to STRIFE against Nimbleguy, who he apparently feels will use the VIEWFINDER for evil purposes that conflict with his own beliefs. However, the VIEWFINDER's use in its current, recharging state appears to be waning at this point.
Those in the GAUNTLET start to cross the RICKETY BRIDGE.

MEANWHILE... A magnificent azure hexahedron floats in the assuredly expansive confines of empty space. This cube, the whole of GodCraft, has sustained many casualties. Extreme quantities of meteors rain down from the depths of space, even now. Crockercorp Ships fire scarlet barrages of death, keeping the populace in line. Nukes, railgun fire, and other assorted weaponry are used daily.
Of course, all of this pales in comparison of what occurred on Zero Hour.
The server's populace has this day registered in legend. They say that on that day, a humongous asteroid just came down from space and destroyed thousands of chunks. They say that Them, the heroes of this server, the salvation of all Minecraft players, were the direct cause of it. They say that it destroyed a giant, ancient temple that resembled no known Jungle Temple known to Minecraft.
This crater, unbeknownst to even the most conspiracy-believing players, tells of a miracle.
The miracle of a new beginning.
Out from folds of space, a portal with undulating fractals appears, in relatively close proximity to the aforementioned azure hexahedron, the sum total of all of Minecraft. A green, crackling orb, heralded by a flash of white light, appears through it, floating near the portal's entrance, seemingly unmoving.
Then, a second later, it glows white-hot. The orb travels through empty space at alarmingly fast speeds, straight towards the unknowing server of GodCraft. As the sphere rotates, with day turning to night and vice versa, the orb's landing site becomes plainly obvious. The crater of Zero Hour.
After a short while, the orb enters the server proper, screaming like a demon escaped from hell. It somehow survived entry from space, and is burning up in indigo flames. It passes through hundreds of clouds, descending at breakneck speeds straight at the epicenter of the asteroid's descent, tracing its steps on that fateful day.
The orb's velocity, as it reaches land, gradually slows, of course, never remotely reaching a standstill, but just enough so its contents are not destroyed on impact. Finally, after what seems like a full eon for passersby, the orb touches down, hovering over the broken bedrock that marks the ascension point of Godmodder Prime.
A green shockwave spawns from the orb, creating a low hum. It travels over the entire crater, tracing over the misshapen bedrock layer. The orb glows white-hot, then patches up the broken bedrock. Where it spawned, it forms a cylinder. On this cylinder is what appears to be a countdown timer.

I'm not going to tolerate this much longer. Remember my Fear of the Hussie attack that mini-critted and all that? I'm getting REALLY frustrated.
Your FEAR OF THE HUSSIE attack did not go through, because by the time it hit, GMORK was already dead. I think that before I was completely done posting, I made the attack hit and mini-crit, but then I went back and saw that GMORK was dead before the attack hit, so I edited it accordingly.
Perhaps this is the cause of your frustration. If you don't believe me, go back to Page 482 and check yourself.

The crosshairs blink between green and red very rapidly. The VIEWFINDER makes several loud hissing noises, then rotates 720 degrees vertically. The two spheres at its ends glow alternating hues of green and red, bathing the entire room in the colors.
Out from the top sphere, a small green orb appears. Imbued inside of it are rotating fractals, akin to the ones that would compose a spirograph. It then, like the rest of the machine, alternates between red and green, then disappears in a blinding flash of light.
When you can see again, the VIEWFINDER has returned to its original settings.
But Nimbleguy did just that. It appears that pressing SELECT and FIRE in conjunction can be only be done periodically. You'll have to wait for the feature to be usable.

I heal whoever needs it most with charged uber.
Your FEAR OF THE HUSSIE attack did not go through, because by the time it hit, GMORK was already dead. I think that before I was completely done posting, I made the attack hit and mini-crit, but then I went back and saw that GMORK was dead before the attack hit, so I edited it accordingly.
Perhaps this is the cause of your frustration. If you don't believe me, go back to Page 482 and check yourself.
