DtG: Destroy the Godmodder

Welcome! The following thread is my attempt to bring a new take on the idea of a Destroy The Godmodder in mechanics, narrative and aesthetic. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Before anyone asks, yes. It's patterned off of DmC.

To get started, you should at the very least read through How To Play. For maximum enjoyment, I'd definitely recommend reading through this entire post. That way, you'll at least have a general idea of the tone and mood I'm trying to go for here. Once that's done with, you should be good to go. Get acquainted with what's happening, jump into the story and introduce yourself!

If you have any questions, Feel free to PM me here or the DTG Discord, which'll be linked below.
So, what is Destroy The Godmodder? Originally, DTG started out as a Forum Game about taking down a nigh-invincible person referred to as The Godmodder. Over time, later installments of DTG began to acquire elements of Role-Playing within a shared setting.

DtG is going to have a focus on the RP and Setting-Aspects, with the titular Godmodder of this game attempting to unite the Multiverse under one banner, while you play the role as the last line of defense against her ambitions.

In the interest of minimizing inter-player conflict, players are only allowed to join the [AG] Faction, dedicated to stopping the Godmodder. Generally, this means you need to attack the entities either labelled [GM] or [PG].

The following list consists of the basic guidelines you need to know in order to play. I'll do my best to announce rule-changes in-thread.
0. Enjoy the Game. Feel free to bring up anything you're unsatisfied with.
1. Listen to the Game Master. Please.
2. Keep things Safe-For-Work. Be nice. Generally speaking, let's try to keep things... PG13? Maybe 14A. Maybe. Don't go overboard with your actions.
3. If you wish, you may split your actions across multiple posts. You can also make "nullposts" to ask questions or forward RP. Tag your nullposts with something like /null, or /nullpost, but be reasonable in how many you make.
4. You can take up to 3 Actions, as well as 1 Bonus Action per round.
5. You can use your Charge to give a flat increase to your action's effectiveness.Charge increases at the end of every round.
6. You can summon entities, which typically act at the end of every round. Entities can have any variety of stats, but will be balanced by the GM in the interest of game balance.
7: Entities and other Characters have Tags, giving an idea of what their goals are. The Main Tags you need to know are [AG], who aim to oppose the Godmodder, and [PG], who seek to support her. Sufficiently strong entities will have the [ELITE] or [BOSS] Tags.

The following dropdown contains the full mechanics. DtG runs differently from other games, so it's best you read through just to understand the nuances, just in case.
Basic Overview: (Yeah, there's going to be multiple sections. Sorry.)
1. To end the game, you must lower the Godmodder's Hp to 0. This can be done by defeating [BOSS] entities, or attacking her while she's present on the field.
2. The Godmodder is capable of blocking your attacks. As such, only the most creative attacks will harm her.
3. You can take up to three actions per round.
3a. However, keep in mind that repetitive actions become increasingly less and less effective.
4. You are allowed to edit your post.
4b. On the other hand, you are not allowed to get into edit-wars with other players.
5. If rule changes occur, I the GM will do my best to change the rules. Notify me if I've forgotten.
6. Every round will have an Itinerary featuring the recommended course of action by the In-Character Game-Master.

The Rules Sections are going to be further split up: "Hard Rules" involve the "mechanical" aspect of the game, while "Soft Rules" have more to do with the "story and roleplaying" aspect, which I have a bit more difficulty in explaining.
Actions: (Lights and Cameras not included)
1. Actions are what you use to cause effects, things to happen. Within a single action, you can have any combination of causing or removing damage, summoning entities, adding buffs or debuffs, etc.
2. You can perform up to three actions per round. However, the more actions you take, the weaker their individual "maximum potential" can be.
3. Action sequences can be "disrupted", upon which subsequent actions in the chain can fail to be initiated if your character isn't in a position to do so.
4. Actions are initiated and processed in the order they're posted in. Keep that in mind.

Entities: (Things that aren't you)
1. Like other DTG Games, you can summon entities!
2. Entities are summoned to Theatres. Oftentimes, there will be multiple Theatres in an update.
2. The strength of your entity will depend on how effective your action is.
3. Put in some general stats and special abilities you'd like the entity to have. Put in some numbers as well, so that I know what you're aiming for.
4. Unless Plot happens, Entities who have already been summoned in this thread are not allowed.
5. Entities are relevant for Theatre Advantage. Every Theatre will have a different status, usually one of the following:
[Heavy PG]: Hopefully rare. Only occurs if practically no entities exist.
[PG]: While here or in the above "setting", The Godmodder can be attacked, but at far greater difficulty.
[AG]: The "default" setting of the game. The Godmodder is properly targetable.
[Heavy AG]: You guys are somehow completely ravaging the Godmodder's forces. While the "setting" is at this, not only is the Godmodder targetable, but you all will have the ability to order your entities to perform an "Alpha Strike" which will deal direct damage to the Godmodder.
6. You may only summon one type of entity per Action. This means that while hordes entities are okay, you for example can't summon Groudon and Kyogre in the same action. It's a small detail, I don't think it'll come up too often.
7. As a general rule of thumb, keep your entities simple. Ideas that are too complex will extend Update Times, and I'd rather dop quickly.
8. Just like attacks and healing, summoning entities again and again will have diminishing returns.

Theatres (All the world's a stage.)
1. Theatres represent battle-locations in DTG. There may be multiple Theatres to keep in mind.
2. Typically, Characters and Entities may only act in the Theatre they're currently in. They may also change Theatres with a Bonus Action.
3. Each Theatre can have their own unique field effects in play.
Morale: (Something new!)
1. Typically, the PG and AG sides need to deal with Morale, which can go from 0 to 100.
2: When an entity begins their turn at 50% HP or less, they roll a percentile Morale Check. If the number is less than the Morale number, they regain +25% Hp. If not, they defect to whatever faction that attacked them.
3: Morale for your side can be increased by defeating entities, while at the same time decreasing the enemy side's morale. A weaker entity's destruction will have a lesser impact than a stronger one.
4. Morale operates in tandem with Battlefield advantages. If your side has the advantage, morale will increase.
5. Entities only get one morale roll in their lifespan.

Group Actions and Super Entities: (Everything's better with a friend)
1. You can perform your Action Phase in tandem with your allies, such as doing a massive attack, summoning new entities, or something else!
1a. In certain circumstances, you can even perform actions in tandem with NPCs!
2. You can currently Group Action with up to two other parties.
3. If you put enough into summoning an entity, you can make them [ELITE]. Later on, you may even be able to create a [BOSS]!.
4. Defeating a [PG][BOSS] will damage the Godmodder. However, the defeat of an [AG][BOSS] will deal heavy recoil to your side of the battlefield. Defeating [BOSS] entities from other factions will often cause massive ramifications.

Player Vulnerability:
1. For the most part, your character is considered to be, for all intents and purposes, invincible.
2. It is possible for you to lose that invulnerability if:
2a. If entity advantage is at [HEAVY PG]
2b. If you are attacked by a sufficiently powerful entity in very specific cases.
3. When Vulnerable, your Charge will act as an Hp bar, with each point equivalent to 5,000 regular Hp.
4. In certain scenarios, it's possible for you to temporarily die. In those cases, your Charge is set to 0, and requires you to spend a round respawning before you can act again.

Artifacts: (It belongs in a museum!)
1. Artifacts are special objects with powers external to your own.
2. There are two kinds of Artifacts: Passive, and Active.
2a. Passive Artifacts can give their benefits without using an action. A passively defensive artifact would be a suit of armour.
2b. Active Artifacts require actions in order to be utilized. An actively defensive artifact would be something like a shield, which would need an action to raise.
3. In a way, Artifacts are autonomous tools, and must be used properly for maximum effect. Sometimes, you might need to figure out what it does for yourself. Generally speaking, you need to do a bit more than "I use X artifact" for it to work?
4. In the interest of balance, you can only use one action to use an artifact each round.

Tags (Who's with who?)
The following is a list of Alignment Tags:

[AG]: Anti-Godmodder. The base alignment, wishes to stop the Godmodder and her plans.
[PG]: Pro-Godmodder. The people under the command of the Godmodder, who want to see her succeed.
[GM]: The Godmodder herself.
[A]: Artifact. Items which have no loyalties to any side.

In addition to these tags, [???] is used to indicate as-of-yet unidentified factions with their own goals.

Field Effects: Weather the weather!
1. Field Effects are special conditions upon the battlefield you are fighting on. They are generally split into two types: "Weather", and "Terrain".
1a. "Weather" Effects are generally more temporary than "Terrain" effects. They are things like Tornadoes, Thunderstorms, and the like. Maybe the air is suffused with magical energy, making arcane attacks more potent? Those are Weather Effects.
1b. "Terrain" effects are generally permanent to the battlefield. Maybe you're fighting on slippery surfaces, an office building. Maybe you're in a free-fall!
2. Field Effects can be changed with sufficient power.

Bonus Actions: (More More More!)
1. In addition to your regular actions, you also have a Bonus Action every round.
2. In general, Bonus Actions are small things you can do that won't affect your main action.
3. Certain special circumstances can give you unique Bonus Actions, but in general, you'll always have access to:
3a: Scanning: Allows you to check information on Entities, Artifacts and what-have you. Sometimes, repeated scans are needed to get all the information there is.
3b: Reading: Sometimes, you'll come across a book. In those situations, you can read one section at a time.
3c: Pick Up/Transfer Artifact: You may pick up one unattended artifact, or give an artifact in your possession to someone else.
3d: Change Theatre: You can relocate yourself or an allied entity to another Theatre. That does mean you can try to pop somewhere, act, and then pop out. Certain Theatres may take more effort to enter.
4. Entities can also use one Bonus Action per round, but those lower than [ELITE] must give up their regular action in order to do so.
5. Instead of taking a regular action, you may take a Bonus Action instead. That means you can take up to 4 in a round and do nothing else.
The Game Master Arbiter (Who?)
1. The person doing the updates isn't actually me: It's a character in-universe.
2. The Arbiter has their own thoughts and opinions while describing what happens, and will try to keep characters on track to defeating The Godmodder.
3. As of yet, the Arbiter's identity is unknown.
4. If I need to speak OOC, ((I'll do it like this.))

The Storyline (What?)
1. DtG has an overarching plotline. Keep that in mind.
2. While you can go off and do your own thing if you want, but remember: you're doing so in the middle of a war. People will judge you for it.
3. A summary of what's happened so far is provided in the post following this one.
4. If you have a question about details or other things you might have missed, feel free to ask. I'll answer to the best of my ability. That is, of course, assuming someone else doesn't answer first.
5. If you want to contribute to the story in a greater way, feel free to message so we can work something out.

The Setting (Where?)
1. DtG revolves around an alternate dimension referred to as Nihil Magna, or The Void.
2. Within Nihil Magna are Windows, which lead to unique locations.
3. The Main form of Magic in the setting, Eidokinesis comes from Nihil Magna, with massive collections of magical energy referred to as the Elemental Planes. People gain magical power by binding Elementals to themselves, or having someone else initiate them.
4. Godmodders are highly durable individuals with unique powers.
5. You are a Descended, who also possesses unique powers, and are additionally functionally immortal.

The Time (When?)
1. DtG is actually a prequel to Renewal.
2. Unless you have gone over it with me beforehand, do not make a time traveller from the future.
3. The setting tech level's a bit low. Please talk to me if you want to make massive spaceships or other such structures.

The Roleplaying (How?)
1. DtG has a major focus on roleplaying, the interaction with characters.
2. Have conversations with people.
3. Avoid making your characters too powerful. Even though your main character ingame is functionally a "reality warper", there's a difference between 19-year old Luke Skywalker with The Force, and a 19-year old Anakin Skywalker with The Force. One of them's a farmboy, the other one's had 10 years of lightsaber training, and a galaxy-wide reputation as a general of a clone army. At this point in the game, if you come in with someone with a Voidic Empire, questions are going to be asked as to who you are and what you were doing if you haven't done anything so far. Keep that in mind a bit.

Worldbuilding (Why?)
1. I'm aiming for DtG to have a "grittier", more real-ish feel to things. As a result, the setting has an underlying ruleset and all, a sort of foundation on which things have been built upon. Of course, as a "reality warper", your character doesn't entirely need to follow it, but at the same time, the other regular folk around usually still do.
2. I want to hear about the stuff you want to add into the setting, how it can be played around with, added into the rest of the game. Your character's backstory is important to me. I want them to fit in, and I'd love to hear how they'd fit in.
3. Share your ideas. Do you want a historical event, ancient artifact, shadowy organization or something along those lines? Definitely want to add those in. Share what you think is good for everyone to know. PM any secrets you're thinking of. Do note that I might have spoilery secrets in mind that you may or may not be aware of.

Action Effectiveness (You're probably looking for this?)
1. Both the way you write and your characters pull off their actions is important. In a nutshell, you need to be "interesting" for your actions to be effective.
2. Typically, the more descriptive your actions are, the more effective they'll be. The name of the game is [I/showing[/I].
3. Protip: Put a focus on what your character does? You have the power here. Part of the story is that the setting is at a point where you're basically the last hope.
4. The method through which your characters do stuff can have "spillover effects": Aesthetic can also have "spillover effects". Summoning a Demon may add an extra unaligned entity, fire can burn, ice can freeze, black holes and nukes will ruin everything, etc.
5. Doing a similar kind of Action over and over again will rapidly decrease their effectiveness.
6. You can exploit an enemy's obvious weakness to deal more damage. Of course, if it's really low-hanging fruit, you'll also lose effectiveness doing it too many times.
6. In order to damage The Godmodder needs to be something that's clearly outside of the box. A massive explosion, incredible force, that isn't going to be enough. In a sense, it needs to be more. I'm sorry if I can't explain this very well. Basically, Godmodders can only be damaged through methods considered "impossible" in reality. Unfortunately, things are a lot more "possible" in this setting. Get creative.
7. While Acceleration and Deceleration is possible, Time Travel in the setting isn't something you can casually pull. I want causality to remain stable, okay? Yeah.
8. Your actions also come with no take-backsies. That means you can't snap your fingers to reverse one of your decisions. Think of it like you're writing with a pen: You can white-out, but you can't erase.

Below is a list of Common Gameplay Mechanics. It's by no means comprehensive, so feel free to ask about them if you have any questions.
Aesthetic Resistance/Manipulation/Deflection/Control: Certain Entities will be able to mess with your actions if they involve certain ideas.
Accuracy: Accuracy gives a percentile chance for an attack to be a critical hit. It also nullifies dodge. Accuracy less than 100% means your attacks have a chance to miss.
Armour: I happen to use Proper English. Armour reduces damage taken by an entity by its value. For example, if you deal 50,000 damage to an entity with 4,000 Armor, it will only take 46,000 Damage. Negative armor will grant increased damage to attackers.
Bodyguarding: It is possible to have entities bodyguard other entities, taking hits for them. Player attacks can bypass or pierce bodyguarding by stating they do such in the attack, and entities can be given the piercing attack or bypass tags as well. In addition, a Bodyguarding entity has -100% Dodge.
Critical Hits: Typically, a critical occurs by targeting a vulnerability. Critical hits usually deal +50% Damage.
Dodge/Deflection: Dodge gives a percentile chance for attacks to miss. Deflection is similar, but more useful for bodyguards. You can't protect from a bullet if your bodyguard dodges it. Because Dodge is percentile, putting Dodge on entities with high Hp is significantly more difficult. Entities with Negative Dodge have a chance be a critical hit.
Entity Improvement/Debilitation: Permanent alteration of an Entity's stats is possible, but receives diminishing returns if done multiple times.
Hordes: Sometimes entities will come in large numbers instead of one very large entity of roughly the same strength. Because they have their attack go down as they lose members, they generally get stat boosts. Hordes may need to be targeted differently compared to other similar entities.
NPC Hp: NPCs will have their Hp arranged similarly to the players, with each point as being equivalent to 5,000. Damage to NPCs is rounded down to the nearest increment of 5,000.
Shields: Shields are a "regenerating buffer bar", which regenerates to full at the beginning of every round. You must decrease the SHp bar to 0 in order to damage the Hp Bar. SHp is not affected by AC.
Status Effects: You can temporarily entity stats, such as Attack, Accuracy, Regeneration, etc. However, doing so is volatile.

I think that about covers it for right now. Let me know if you're still confused about something essential.

Credits will going to be... right here.
Special thanks to Moniker; who began the DTG game concept, TwinBuilder; who wrote DTG2, Pionoplayer; for letting me use his universe, TOG: Drizzle; for listening to my ideas, NinjaTwist; who encouraged me to make the predecessor to this game, Nedben; for having the most amazing ideas, and Enerald Mann; for being there when I wanted to share Metal Gear Solid Memes to someone. They truly are the DNA of the soul.

Thanks to TOG for GMing the Thanos Intermission, and Ender_Smirk, JOEbob, Nedben, and ParadoxDragon for participating in it to the end.

CONTINUITY NOTE: DtG is a soft reboot taking place after the DTG2 Epilogue. As such, it is separate from Altcanon. DtG is also a prequel to Renewal. However, I'd rather you not use a time traveller from the future, especially one who would have knowledge of what will happen.

Credit to TT2000's original Destroy the Godmodder, and Pionoplayer's Renewal as the primary inspirations for this game. It wouldn't be possible if they didn't exist first.

We have an OOC thread here, but it's kind of dead. Feel free if you're brave enough to revive it. We also do have a discord channel, which you can ask for by joining this channel first.

Are you ready? Let's go!

Intro
You've already heard the news: Alethea is attacking Nihil Magna. The President is Dead. Space itself is burning. The Iron Prince has come. Monsters are attacking Cities, and The Victorious have fallen. You're seeing a stream of uncolored text in your visionfield!

I know this is really confusing, but just hang on, alright? I'm about to tell you what's really going on here.

Every Universes hangs within the Void. We live in a section of this Void, who everyone calls Nihil Magna, or The Greater Void.

Some people in the Void have special powers. Right now, there are two powers that you have to know about. Godmodding, and Descendancy.

Godmodding is an incredibly powerful art that makes users virtually invincible. In addition, they are also capable of altering reality itself. People who use Godmodding are called Godmodders.

There are actually quite a few Godmodders in the Void. The wars you see every few years, the ones where someone temporarily claims a sector for themselves? Those are usually Godmodders. Do you remember the Nine-Month Massacre? Vertex was a particularly powerful Godmodder.

Godmodders typically identify themselves with a symbol. The higher the value, the more powerful they are. Most Godmodders wear an α and call themselves an Alpha. Some have an A, and call themselves Alpha+. Vertex carried a γ, calling herself a Gamma.

Here's the thing: Alethea wears a Δ, and calls herself a Delta+. She is the most powerful Godmodder we have ever seen.

Now that I've explained the basics of Godmodding, you're wondering what Descendancy is. Descendancy is also a type of Magic, named after how users are akin to beings who have Descended from a higher place. People don't know what makes someone a Descended, but if you are one, you also have the ability to do practically anything with Reality Warping.

The Four, formerly Five Praetorians who defend the Godmodder are all Descended. You were contacted to join this fight because you're a Descended as well. For some reason, Descended are really good at stopping Godmodders. That's why I'm asking you to go stop Alethea and her war machine.

Currently, her Third Praetorian has invaded the homeworld of one of our Descended, Nerà. During the space battle against P3's blockade, another Descended ripped a hole in the fabric of space, and now a Dark God is trying to eat the planet. So that's a thing that's happening right now.

I'm going to be very honest: The public is afraid of you. Our "team" has destroyed a planet, killed a President, and threatened to freeze the Elemental Plane of Water. Ordinary people are afraid. On behalf of someone I used to know, I'd like to open my eyes, and see a better world.

Are you ready? Let's go.

[PG] The Godmodder. 80/80 Hp.

I spit blood in reverse, sucking it in instead of spewing it out. Unfortunately, since none of my blood is outside of my body, I'm forced to use the Godmodder's blood for this spectacular little trick, with disastrous results for the Godmodder internals.

The power of teamwork strengthen's the T-Rex's teeth to ridiculous levels. And also the rest of the T-Rex for good measure.

The guy summons a huge ROBLOX head and smashes the Godmodder with it. While this does not do much, it summons the OOF God from the heavens, who smites the Godmodder.

I build a radiation gun, capable of shooting radiation in various forms, including visible, ultraviolet, infrared, and all the wacky zany ones you can think of.

Previously... on DtG: Destroy the Godmodder's backstory piece that nobody really cares about BUT I'M GOING TO YAMMER ABOUT ANYWAYS SO SCREW YOU BILLY.
Okay fine it didn't actually happen previously this is just a flash back, I said previously on because shut up that's why.

As the Godmodder's forces wash across the multiverse, slaying heroes, breaking prophecies, ending worlds and bringing entire pantheons to ruin, a force of godlings gathers together, abandoning their worlds to an inevitable ruin, betraying trusts placed in them within hundreds of universes and millions of planets, to join together to find the ultimate solution to the Godmodder.
There are only a few things that could possibly work. Finding a godmodder of equal power is not an option, and nobody knows how to create a force of Descended.
There are a hundred other ideas that are tossed about, but all of them are shot down, having already failed for others, for having results potentially as disastrous as the Godmodder's conquest itself if it even works, or just being flat out impossible, even for an army of gods hundreds of millions strong.
So they come to a final decision. Representatives from among the force of the divine entities will merge together, preparing and mutilating their power so that a proper vessel can be created, designed specifically to enter and pass the Great Trials. And then the other gods shall flee into hiding, allowing the Godmodder to have her way until the champion rises up, to watch and see if the champion has a chance at succeeding, and if the champion is successful, to come to their aid, and if not, to readjoin together to create a new one, until either the Great Trials have been passed and the Godmodder defeated, or the Godmodder finds out about their pact and destroys them all.
One way or another, this is the only option remaining to them, and so, 100 deities are chosen out from among the crowd, those thought to best represent the skills, attributes, and powers needed to find salvation for their number. With a variety of rituals of varying savoriness, the gods are modified, and merged. Before the army of divinity lies a single, small body. With no identity, no strength, no weakness, and no name.

And then, the portal is opened, and the nameless was placed within, sent on to undergo the Great Trials, one of the greatest challenges the Multiverse has to offer...

Which means they're completely Off-guard for me stealing their leg.

Round 1
hah I exist here woops

I spit blood in reverse, sucking it in instead of spewing it out. Unfortunately, since none of my blood is outside of my body, I'm forced to use the Godmodder's blood for this spectacular little trick, with disastrous results for the Godmodder internals.
As you pull blood from the Godmodder, she activates the portal to the Blood Dimension in her veins to replenish her lost blood!
Some guy jumps into the field and plays 10,000 bass boosted songs at the Godmodder at once.
The Godmodder is unaffected by this sonic attack, but she does sneak a look at the glass on the far side of the room, which is beginning to crack.
Since this is really far in the past, I summon a T-rex to chomp on the Godmodder.
I didn't mean that far in the past, but as the Tyrant Lizard King attempts to bite down on the Godmodder, she grabs both sides of the dinosaur's jaws, and forces it apart.
The power of teamwork strengthen's the T-Rex's teeth to ridiculous levels. And also the rest of the T-Rex for good measure.
You give the T-Rex enough biting strength to beat the Godmodder, but it's teeth still shatter against her body! The sheer force of this bite causes a shockwave, that transports the dinosaur back to it's home planet!
The guy summons a huge ROBLOX head and smashes the Godmodder with it. While this does not do much, it summons the OOF God from the heavens, who smites the Godmodder.
The OOF God appears in all his glory, and smites the Godmodder, but when the smoke rises away, she's still standing, and retaliates with a smite of her own! This forces the OOF God to utter his own OOF, the last OOF!
I poke the Godmodder at the Speed of Light
Moving faster than the speed of light, the Godmodder dodges the poke! The sudden change in speed and resultant air pocket from the Godmodder moving from her original position causes a momentary vaccum and an explosion right where your hand is right now.
...Ouch, that looked like it hurt.
I build a radiation gun, capable of shooting radiation in various forms, including visible, ultraviolet, infrared, and all the wacky zany ones you can think of.
You do that!

For your sake, I hope this is worth it.
I boop the Godmodder with the force of a hundred suns before teleporting sand into her eyes, her heart/other vital organs out of her body and then subjecting her to vast Gravitational Field distortions while bombarded by cosmic radiation
First, the Godmodder moves ever so lightly out of the way, before the spatial defenses trigger, preventing any telefrag effects from affecting her. Then, her ship rapidly compensates for the Gravitational Field distortions, while she warps the Cosmic Radiation effects to move around her.

This whole time, the Godmodder has no clue what I'm talking about, and is probably on guard for events similar to the song-script-story playing out with them as target...
Which means they're completely Off-guard for me stealing their leg.
yep.
You may have distracted me, but you didn't distract the Godmodder, who notices you and roundhouse kicks you in the face.
"Nice try, but I listen to this every day."

"Oh, and just between you and me? It's nice to finally meet you, face to face."

oh man, this is pretty crazy, huh?

Granted a sudden and incredible boon of temporary foresight, with which I come to the decision to fire a singular bullet of into space.

And then several more.

"Actually, I'm just A joe bob, there are 5 of me on this ship."
"I must say, the resemblance to Joe BOB is uncanny."
"But I'm not the one you're thinking of, the only thing I've done outside of my home universe asides from small explorations is that whole herald fight thing."
"...Sorry about that by the way, but given the existance of the soul net (and your own variant (yes i know about it (you'll know how i know a while after you reach 70 HP)), it's not like they're really Dead"
"No hard feelings, I hope?"
"... I bet when they said the world is ending again, they where talking about you."
"Also, for future notice, my name is JOEbob, with the capitalization. if its capitalized differently? Not me."

Now, when they roundhouse kicked me in the face, while their leg was in contact with my face, I stole it. this is how I am able to talk normally, instead of in a vaugely muffled unclear mumble. I stole it with a touch-range teleport with a range limit, which is easy since in order to roundhouse kick me in the face, they need to touch my face.
....the teleport may or may not be portal-based.

To every newcomers that are joining the effort in defeating this Godmodder, they feel a strange, unseen force, one of coincidence, wash over them as they enter the battlefield. But to those who were present for the death of the Herald, this force is a familiar ally.

Regardless of their familiarity with this strange, arguably-creature, it's hard to get a read on its inner mechanisms, or rather, its mind. The question of "What does this being have in mind," however, has been swiftly answered: as the Godmodder stands on her ground, this same force encircles around her with what can be described as a growing, morbid desire, and part of that desire requires that this Godmodder be at death's door.

As soon as that has been cleared up, the mind of this force conceals. The force itself is poised for war.

A long time ago, in a universe blissfully unaware that such beings as Godmodders exist, in a galaxy of uninterconnected lives, in a solar system that's fairly a newborn compared to others, in a planet where a different war rages on, efforts have been made into creating the ultimate weapon that would force surrender into the enemies' hearts and mind. The weapon in question? A volatile mix that, upon contact with however form it appears as, causes unimaginable pain of all sorts to whatever sentient being the mix touches. As it is a volatile mix, it should be handled with the care one would have while handling a baby. A grievous mistake, however, when the current handler of the mix forgot that their shoes were untied. The handler falls, the mix in a tiny test tube flies, and the others watch helplessly in terrified anticipation as both the loss of their latest fruit of research as well as the unimaginable pain it will cause are two events that are bound to occur. However, as coincidence would have it, they also have had another success as of late: the Void Bin. It is as the name says, it's a trash bin that leads to somewhere in a void dimension. It has just coincidentally been put into use as...well, a trash bin. And down the mix goes. The scientists sigh in sheer disappointment as even though it did not explode in their faces, it is still back to square one for them.

The view cuts to the mix, still contained within the test tube, floating through the void. Strangely enough, it's brimming with more amounts of trash than what the scientists could've thrown into their Void Bin. Piles of trash surround the vial in every direction, and from each one, shuffling can be seen and heard. The sources of the shuffling comes out, and people from varying species reveal themselves. They are, by their species' definition, malformed. Judging by how they look and how they came out from piles of trash, that could only mean one thing: Void Scrappers. These poor folks all gaze at the mix, and one thought rings out through all of their minds: "Treasure?" The scrappers all leap from their piles and towards the vial with the intent of keeping it to themselves and themselves only. This, of course, leads to conflict amongst every one of the scrappers. The scrappers engage in what will soon be a fruitless combat as the force of each motion, though not really capable of damaging the vial significantly, still sends it flying off into the distance and out of the scrappers' reach.

The vial containing the mix goes its merry way across this specific void, encountering more Void Scrappers, corpses of creatures thrown into the void and could not adapt in time, ruins of civilizations that fell victim to the wraths of powerful warpers, and many much more sights.

We now go to the present, where the glass vial, miraculously untouched, is now on course towards a wormhole that just coincidentally happens to be there. With no objections coming from any source, the vial enters the wormhole.

We cut back to the battlefield, specifically the Godmodder herself, turning down attacks through means of dodging, tanking, and irrelevating. As the Godmodder winds up to "turn down" the next attack, a wormhole coincidentally opens up extremely close to one of her limbs in motion. The vial containing the mix of "unimaginable" pain flies through that wormhole and into the way of one of the Godmodder's limbs. The Godmodder, being the oh-so powerful one that she is, notices the vial, but only a tad bit too late as the vial is smashed and its content explodes violently, encompassing the Godmodder in its effect.

The effect contains multiple types of pain of not only the physical variety, but also that of mental, spiritual, emotional, and, if the Godmodder has them, other types of pain to her wellness. It's...not the worst pain in existence, but it's surely nearing that. It'll at least damage the Godmodder, however effective it may be against her.

The Trial of Being
"In order to begin, one must first be. Without essence of self, it is impossible to actively start anything. And so the first challenge is undergone; to become, to initiate, to exist."

The nameless felt... nothing. It had no consciousness, no feelings, no anything. Nothing to base its frame of reference on besides a few pieces of scattered knoweldge pulled from a life it could not remember, nor was likely to ever be able to remember. So it floated in the void, a disembodied not-yet-consciousness waiting, except not waiting, for something to happen. They sit for what could be an eternity, or perhaps wasn't, maybe it was only a few seconds, or it could have been a mere half an instant, without a conscious mind there to witness the flow of time, does time really pass at all? None could say, things simply are the way they are until they cease to be so. Things continue on that way until something notices that things are the way they are, and might not be that way in a few seconds, or tomorrow, or a few years, and suddenly time has been invented.
But that's a lesson for another time.
The lesson for today is that of being. That one must be to do, and one must do to matter. Without a thought to muster ones own will and force, you are simply but a tool in another's hands. This is the first lesson that must be learned, in order to matter in this reality, you must act on your own, choose to be something, not passively acted upon like the rock, which is worn away by the water, which is moved by the tides, which come only into being by the motion of the moon, which in turn was created by the might of physics, which all established itself at the beginning of the universe's creation by the will of the great forces which control the cosmos.
So the first step for the nameless in their quest to gain a new name, is for it to think, to be.
And so it does, first it's mind sparks, information and pseudo-memories collecting together, sparking with one another until knowledge fills the gaps in a cascade of mental continuity.
And then comes the opportunity, the place where 90% of those who undergo the Great Trials fail. As it comes into contact with its own thoughts, their own being, what will it do? Will they move forward and out of the darkness, into realm of knowing things, out of the comforting nothingness they've been part of up until that time. Will it let fear and uncertainty take over their being and return them to nothing, or will it move forward, with a sense of purpose?
And the nameless opens its eyes.

The battlefield is suddenly struck by a pillar of light, which sends a massive shockwave emanating outwards, the pure force of existence sending a cascading power across the battlefield. It knocks over everyone... and slams into the Godmodder at full force, amplified by a sense of purpose, raw metaphysical damage coursing through her being.

While reading the update tells her the source, she can't pinpoint it's location exactly, but she does know this... something is coming. What it is that will come is as yet up in the air, but when it comes, she will have discovered a powerful new enemy.

Of course... that's assuming the nameless can finish The Great Trials.

(My first post was supposed to lead into this, so count these two as all one thing)

...somewhere, somewhen, and something else...

The nameless awakes within a temple. Around it in the circular room are sets of doors. Four doors on each "side" of the temple, with three of each of the groups of four on a gallery lifted up behind the first. Two doors sit on the central platform it stands on, and the whole thing is a stark, empty, white.
In the center is a small pedestal with a small screen, or maybe a window. Through it can be seen the beginning of a war. The nameless doesn't know what to make of it, but it feels like one day it shall have to go through that window somehow. Almost as if its destiny calls it there.

JOE smiles. he now has one arm of IPR, 1 arm from the herald, and hopefully a leg from the Godmodder. now he just needs 2 more people to steal body parts from.
then he realizes his radiation gun is missing some things. for example, it is now imbued with the power to make at least 180,000,000,000,000,000,000* the minimum amount of that radiation per second (IE: 180,000,000,000,000,000,000 photons of visible light, which is what a lightbulb makes per second). it is also now highly resistant to damage- every time something would impair its ability to function, it will delay 3 seconds, then revert to undamaged state and teleport into my possession, aside from being made of a very strong metal. various other minor add-ons and backups exist, like enhanced targetting and resistance to spacewarps, but those would be truly arduous to list. for now, it is sufficient to say that it is very much improved...
Oh, and it also gains the ability to generate the radiation in the shape of a 1.8-meter-long sword, glowing a hazy cyan (this is for aesthetic purposes, and if the light plane thingy would keep it from happening, the area instead becomes a translucent cyan temporarilly. because SORDZ

UNUSED FLAVOUR TEXT REDIRECTED TO HERE FOR EMERGENCIES:
cyan-white mist starts leaking from My body. it billows like a gas on an imagined breeze. rather then thicken, though, it gathers into ten phantasmal hands with holes in their centres, hand-shaped constructs of cyan-white mist. an object through them would disrupt their appearance for a moment, but only a moment; and the breeze does not actually affect them. really, they behave more like hand-shaped sources of rapidly dissipating white mist then actually being made of the mist. I smile grimly. one of the hands holes glows a odd pink color, and the isolation from the power nullifying skeleton opens up. the nullification effect washes over me for a moment, before the hands effect is itself nullified, causing the skeletons isolation to snap closed- But that moment was enough. The Gears, and time stop, are shattered. and as for the hands, they are all positioned out of the way of the released nullification, though they could have reformed rather quickly anyhow. Not 'magic', but not natural, I'm not sure if the nullity would even affect them. On that note, no matter how discerning the vision Mason focuses on the hands, there is nothing in their structure or substance to hint at what might be done next. One hand turns a dark grey, and hovers over the Amalgamation mechsuit for a few moments; meanwhile the holes in two others illuminate, one shining green, the other an orange-red. Should Mason attempt to intervene, the green hand swiftly interposes itself, producing compact barriers seemingly formed of light; simultaneously, the other hand rockets forwards trailing an energy reminiscent of ignis, but not identical, then jerks to a stop right before impact, leaving a bolt of fire flying at Mason. A third hand shines a darker green, forest-green specifically, and clasps hands with either of the earlier hands, causing plant life to rapidly grow out of nearby chunks of rock (or whatever's handy, really), either with cracks full of smouldering-hot liquid, or forcefield-spikes, covering their lengths; said plants voraciously seek out Mason. after a moments pause, the red glow in the red hand fades, while another hand flickers into activity, its interior a light yellow. That hand points all its fingers forwards, and a small point of yellow appears between them; the hand closes into a fist, and the point erupts into a series of beams of energy; attempts to Block the beams are handled by the pink-holed hand, creating distortions which bend defenses away or prevent the beams from missing. One hand in the back shines an increasingly bright brown as time passes.

another hands core turns black, and liquid pours from it before solidifying into arrows; a flick of the hands fingers sends those blackened arrows rocketing forwards even while the beams of light continue to ricochet. On impact, though, the arrows detonate into a thick black smoke, reducing even magical visibility. The forest-green hand has, by this point, flickered off, and its centre glows in a swirl of black and white; it imitates any non-esoteric actions Mason preforms by way of grey forcefield-holograms, stopping things such as movement dead in their tracks. The Light yellow hand's glow darkens, and the bolts of energy are suddenly replaced with bolts of lightning, flashing through the air in ways that would sear the eye if not for the black smoke everywhere. Another hand turns a shade again, that which once was red, and the now-cerulean hand points fingers rapidly at the other attacks, shifting from one to the other- and where it points the attacks accelerate or stutter ahead, while defences stop as though lagging for a moment. meanwhile another hand is changed yet again, in this case a bloody red. bones manifest around it in the shape of a skull, which gathers a ball of light in its maw, which then clinks closed; the ball naught more then a distracting illusion whilst such useful materials as white phospherous and stomach acid are called forth and sent flying forwards at speed.

Then, as one, all the hands flicker to brown, save one that is a light grey, and save the one on the Mechsuit's shoulder. All at once, several things change. the brown-glowing hand in the back opens, now positioned as though holding something aloft. the ones whos wholes are brown, but have not begun to glow, orient around it. A tiny gap appears in the scant air between Mason and the glowing hand, courtesy of the light-grey hand. The Mechsuit disappears entirely. and a small speck of dirt, no more then a pebble really, suddenly careens through the gap in the air at a sizeable fraction of the speed of light. Rather then target Mason directly, though, it is sent to Mason's Hand.

Naturally none of the attacks thus far have been significantly damaging; I Can see the Throne has a shield bar, Mason has too much health, etcetra, etcetra. Mostly, they are annoyances and distractions. Esoteric abilities they can't be sure Won't harm them, just enough to force them to keep up their guard and slow them down, buying time for two things. One, for the back hand to charge the energy needed for Near-Light Speed Dirt, and Two, for the dark-grey hand, an imitation of a glove known as Sabel, to transport the Mechsuit into a pocket dimension.

As for why I target the hand... well, it was on My advice and influence that it happened. Adam Mason is on Regnum Dei, and it has shielding; Therefore Adam 'Mason' is protected by it. But you know what generally Isn't protected by armor? Artefacts. Specifically, when I made the Biosuit, it was needed that any artefact I retained use of be Outside the Biosuit, and worn by it, for it to have an effect.

A pack off distraction Corgis suddenly appear and start running around being adorable little goofball in front off the Godmodder, preventing her from noticing the Thorgi (a Corgi wielding Mjolnir) flying in from behind to attack her.

I take hold of my robes that was fluttering around due to the post-teleportation effects and immediately start grumbling about the 0.0001% teleportation mishaps.

Still, I missed the opening strike but I hope to make up with this.

Grabbing a bunch of self-levitating, eldritch blankets, I add the corgis that were summoned onto the blankets have them pilot the blankets. Now the battlefield is mainly obscured in blankets that are being piloted by corgis who's main goal is to distract. Fun. Taking advantage of that, I take a Mario series Superstar and apply it for those succulent seconds of oneshot-ness and go in a teleporting chase as I put on my anti-distraction glasses. I take a nanosecond to check my TPS (Teleports Per Second) which rounds up to around 100 to the power of googol and let rip my star-powered body target the Godmodder.

The nameless, since I'm too tired to perform the next trial, pokes the screen, causing a massive wall of force to come in behind the Thorgi and back up its massive hammer strike with another massive strike of just miscellaneous force.
