that one function being "deactivate the entire system except the thrusters and crash it into the single strongest Allied target available, with no ways to deactivating once pressed.".
obviously the one strongest Allied-to-the-AG-side target is the Hyperstorm supernova, so it goes flying into that, and possibly even hits given the dodge pools currently being exhausted based on what I see in the EOTB (" Dodge pool: 0,000/40,000").

Why are so many people just teleporting into our ship today? I can't even catch them most of the time. What happened to the anti-teleportation wards around the craft?

Huh, they must have been damaged from something.

I decide to head onto the Supernova to repair the anti-teleportation defenses on the craft, as well as the craft in general. As it turns out, the engines disruption caused a power surge that knocked half of the teleportation redirection nodes (which normally block entry to the demiplane that the Supernova's bridge and core systems occupy). I pull up some monitors, do some technobabble, and bring those nodes back online.

Unfortunately, it isn't enough. One of the nodes is too damaged to function, and a check of the area around it shows that something pierced the hull there.

Now, the Arcane Repair systems were kicking in to repair the hull damage, but they have some difficulty with advanced systems like an anti-teleportation node. And since its on the outer hull, I have to cling to the outside of the ship to repair it.

I manage to stay inside its gravitational field, meaning that I accelerate with the craft and don't get flung off when it moves around, but its still a very hard job to get the repair done. But a few minutes later, the anti-teleportation node is back online, and the outer hull's repairs are finished as well.

Unfortunately, I don't think that system's even going to work at keeping people from teleporting into the engine room, but it's worth a shot at least.

HARDS Orders: Protect the Arcane Repair Beacon like I told you to do last round. Stupid defective AI point defense array thing.

Media mispells the Hyperstorm as the Hyperstore. In that moment, an immensely powerful store appears in the place of the Hyperstorm. She then goes inside. She expects everything to be free, and by that logic everything is free. So, she buys everything that the store has to offer. Engines, metal plates, weaponry, futuristic scanners that no-one really understands, anti-teleportation wards- the whole kazoo! As she leaves the store with equipment in-hand, she realises her mistake. She quickly absolves this error, and the Hyperstore reverts to its stormy self. Due to conversation of matter, its still missing the aforementioned parts. It would be immoral to say you are giving something away for free and then try to take it back right afterwards, after all.

"Ah! We've taken heavy damage, all units batten down the hatches!" Eggman broadcasts accidentally in his panic. Indeed, the Terror had dealt significant pain, but that would be the last attack it would deal.

The Golems had destroyed one of the Fleet Battleships with a potent ritual, but in doing so had opened up an avenue of attack. Detonations wracked the vessel as it went up in smoke, but its engines burned fiercely with target in sight. The Terror Ravager Bot was the enemy, and would be downed by vengeance. The flaming ship violently exploded on the way, but it was too late. Shrapnel peppered the foe's damaged and pierced hull as the larger parts slammed in with yet greater force, sheer power doing the work. And of course then the gun magazines cooked off, adding to the carnage of desolation that had been brought against the Terror. Even in death, the ships of the Fleet did their part.

The Daemonette sighed upon seeing the dreadful state of the Flagship. Looks like she'd have to expend some power to restore it. 20 post charge expended.

Using raw reality warping, the damage is undone. Great sections of the vessel that had been sheared off by scything blades were restored in an instant, simply returning to their proper places as if nothing had happened. There were not even the slightest of cracks where there were not supposed to be, so complete was the healing. With a simple mental command, all this could be accomplished via mere will, although granted it was will backed up by a charged pool of energy.

Regardless, such was the power of one who could shape space and time to their will so utterly. The Flagship, previously descending and suffering an impending all systems failure, leveled off its flight and regained some altitude. Although still obviously wounded from previous and present assaults, the fact remained that it now mostly had full hull integrity, allowing it to firmly weather attacks in the future. "Ah, good timing. I thought this ship was done for!"

Well, the ship is under attack from both JOE and a new force that has just appeared, complete with a changing appearance that is giving everyone headaches.

You know what? I'm tired of this. JOE has wrecked my engines, he's maybe related to the blightsteel colossus that also wrecked my engines, and he's not going to stop until my ship goes down.

That would be a fairly accurate description, yes. Now, what do we do about it?

First off, I'm going to educate him. Not just about what a laser is, but just in general. His biggest weapon is apparently the fact that he has no clue what he's doing when he fires his attacks.

Annabelle proceeds to beam a bunch of information into JOE's head. This operation was on the tip of the border between communications telepathy (which is extremely difficult to block, and often pointless to block) and offensive telepathy (which is much easier to block, and would probably fail outright against a Descendant). In this case, were any other psion trying to do it, JOE would probably have blocked it. But Annabelle managed to push past JOE's defenses just enough to beam the information into him, and his attack malfunctions on account of him knowing what light is. Since it was explicitly light (and just normal light, after JOE's revelation reveals that no, light is not a gigantic wave of death), it does absolutely nothing to the Supernova's armor, and Annabelle doesn't even have to dodge it.

Then, she throws out a challenge.

Alright, JOE. If you want to fight me, fight me on the ground. One on one, no allies. Do you have what it takes?

I believe the technical term for this is a "STRIFE", Annabelle. I read something in this world's legal codes about it. Not completely sure.

I'll go with it. JOE, I challenge you to a STRIFE!

Annabelle ejects from the Supernova, and lands on foot. She decides to try to go for an intimidating look, pulling out her twin swords (yes, actual swords, with a ridiculous amount of enchantments on them), and then deploying her two plasma pistols to hover near her head.

I feel like I should clarify the terms of engagement. He's not going to engage in a normal STRIFE because then we could just pull the Supernova into the STRIFE and destroy him. I've beamed the terms of engagement to you, and to JOE.

Whatever, I can work with these.

  • No entities may be brought into the STRIFE. However, artifacts are allowed.
  • Outside of the STRIFE, a truce is held. Crusher48 and JOEBob may not attack each other's entities outside of the strife, whether through actions or their own entities.
  • Breaking either of the above two rules by either party results in those rules being rescinded by both parties.
  • Annabelle is treated as Crusher48 for all intents and purposes in the duel, despite not quite being Varos/Crusher48. If she dies, Crusher48 will be forced to sit in an interdimensional "penalty box" for the period where he would normally be respawning.
  • The winner of the STRIFE will receive 10 charge points from the other player, in the form of 5 +2 assists.

Oddly, this doesn't impact the capabilities of the Supernova. Even though she is on the ground and preparing to fight, Annabelle has enough capability to multitask that she can still control the Supernova. She wouldn't be able to do it for long normally, but when the STRIFE kicks up, the rules of the STRIFE (and/or her talent for having a ridiculously high endurance in the psychic plane) would somehow allow it to continue for the duration of the STRIFE, making it as if the Supernova's pilot was still in the cockpit.

Entity Orders:
Supernova: Shoot the Terror Ravager Bot, and also drop some bombs on it. If it's dead, pick something that isn't controlled by JOEBob and shoot and bomb it.

I go back in time and inform my past self that he can teleport a bomb onto the hyperstorm supernova right when the templars attacking, causing it to explode and deal damage right about... now.
why did I attack this way? so I could seize the +2 Media left up for offer, duh.
change to pyramid orders. use as many of the orbiting black bombs that you control as needed to kill HS SN, leftovers orbit the burrow to defend it.
Statue of a Suspicious Triangular Figure summoned. You think you hear laughing somewhere in the distance. I would like to remind everyone that player actions can bypass bodyguards.

The One True Hero One takes down the egg flagship in an epic battle of epic proportions, and then deal 12000 runoff damage to the Hyperstorm's dodge pool.

Action countered by crusher.

Did you really expect something here? Nope.
  • Juggernaut Armor (Artifact): A light powered armor system. Protects the user with both armor and ablative shielding, and increases the wearer's attack damage (8/8 Armor HP, 4 Shield HP). Currently stolen by JOEBob
  • Electrostaff (Artifact): An electromagnetic system that can be used to stun enemies or reflect countered attacks back at the user. Stolen by Godmodder.
  • Modular Multicannon: A magic-powered gauss pistol, capable of firing in different modes (ranging from conventional bullets to the same power as a tank cannon). Has an ammo creation system built in to create strange ammunition and avoid reloading problems. Upgraded with the ability to switch between Pistol, Rifle, and Blade modes.
    • AM Breacher Rounds: Specialized rounds designed to penetrate magical defenses and destroy magic-based systems.
    • Knockback Shots: Specialized rounds that apply huge concussive knockback to the target, but no damage.
    • Healing Burst Shots: Specialized rounds that heal instead of harming the target, essentially firing a healing spell instead of a bullet. Unless the enemy isn't friendly, in which case they take damage as normal.
    • Plasma Rounds: Superheated plasma rounds.
    • Force Blade: A variant blade; instead of functioning as a lightsaber, it contains raw kinetic energy, causing anything hit to take an incredible amount of knockback, but dealing minimal raw damage.
  • Cool Goggles: Advanced goggles that eliminate glare and provide advanced Scanning functionality (aka the normal Scanning functionality).
    • Ballistic Calculation System: Calculates ballistic trajectories of objects, allowing for more accurate shots, and also creative tactics using corpses as weapons or landing an enemy in just the right location.
    • True-Sight Module: Counters hostile stealth and illusions through a variety of methods, helping to discover hidden enemies or hidden enemy abilities. Buffs power of Scan actions.
  • Sustain Necklace: An emergency contingency that will revive the user immediately after death. Breaks after use.
  • Artificer's Gloves: A specially-designed pair of gloves that can apply telekinesis over short range, and can also create common materials out of thin air.
  • Immovable Rods: Rods that can anchor themselves in space, gaining incredible inertia to the point of being impossible to move.
    • Immovable Magnet: A variant designed to briefly immobilize metal targets, burning through its stored energy in just a few seconds.
  • Wand of Lesser Vigor: A wand capable of providing a minor regenerative effect. Not too useful in direct combat, but useful for making hospitals obsolete.
  • Black Widow Drone: A spider-drone designed to carry a grenade to a target and detonate it.
  • Base Defenses: Several advanced traps protecting my base.
    • 7 Proxy Defense: An advanced redirection system that makes it nearly impossible for intruders to find the base.
  • Workbench: A standard workbench containing useful supplies and apparatus for tinkering.
  • Time Dilation Generator: A generator that changes timeflow in a localized area. Currently nonfunctional.
  • Darksteel Fingers and Toes: Raw material for constructing super-durable stuff.

Now that I had obtained information on what was to come, I turned my attention towards the maintenance of my entities. I could see that the Street Fighter had corruption on him, which would not do. Taking out a plastic bottle, I sprayed the Street Fighter with Oxiclean, washing away the corruption.

Fun fact: If you bury a full Oxiclean Bottle, it will grow into a Maywood Tree. That's the real reason they tell you to recycle: so that you don't discover the company secret.

TERROR RAVAGER BOT KILLED

The Terror Ravager Bot sways from side to side, before suddenly exploding. There's no fire, the components of it just go flying in every direction, including some interior weapons that look like they might have been deployed at some point in the near future. The Godmodder sighs as he takes 1 more damage and the distance meter increases by another 5%. The pyramid is left behind.

Crusher walks over to the central scythes, the massive centerpiece of the ravager bot, and decides that it looks like its in pretty good shape. HE puts it in his inventory. Yup. The whole thing. With a fork
Spoil of war gained: Whirling Dervish. 6 round cooldown. Place this down and it will remain on the field for 3 rounds. During those rounds, players can nudge it towards certain targets, with the owner getting highest priority (although they can still be overruled if enough people push it a different way.).

..did you miss my response to a thing you said earlier?
you said: "Another thing that bothered me was the amount of deaths in this battle so far. Our turnover rate for non-descended participants was amazingly high. We would need to find out a way to keep people from dying. We had the technology, after all. This is the void, and like the GameFAQ said, any technology would work here."
and I responded in my third post last round:
""you know, I aaaam working on that. the bun engineers are starting with keeping other buns from dieing (because its easier to keep morale up that way) and are going to work on keeping Anyone from dieing when they get the chance."
"Uuugh, my head..."
"What just happened?"

#ScavengedWeaponry
The darksteel Golems all launch themselves at the Hyperstorm, which deftly dodges them all with its precognition perk. It then proceeds to take 20000 damage from the jury objecting to its fast and loose dodging policy. The Bombbot explodes all over the Drake, blowing it to pieces. The Light Dragon proceeds to use heal aura, applying semi-rez on the Dark Dragon and the carrot bundle for a singular round. The Dark Dragon uses Dominance. In a flash of shadow and light, the two dragons clash, but in the end, only one can survive. The Light dragon ascends to greater glory and pow- oh wait, looks like the dark dragon survived. Light Dragon upgraded, dark dragon expends its semirez. The Engineer Bun finish up the bun portal, which, for GM sanity, doesn't act this round. The Triangular Statue summons up a worshipper bun.

The TOGII lacks a good target to shoot at so it just pops one of the darksteel golems in the face, killing it. The Bad Thing suddenly grows butterfly wings and flaps them, causing a storm somewhere on the far side of the planet. This will not have ramifications in the future. No not at all.

The Supernova snipes the Jury from orbit, then drops a crapton of bombs on the darksteel golems, nuking another of their number from orbit. The remaining Egg Fleet Battleships all charge the newly renewed Light Dragon and dole out 15000 damage to it. The Pixel swarm utterly obliterates the Dark dragon with no regard for fairness or attack numbers. Good thing regular entities don't get attack overflow. The Technocratic Invasion force deals an autocritted 40000 damage to the rabbit burrow. The Bloodthirster attacks the boombot drones and gets a facefull of 30K damage for its trouble, killing 20K fo them in the process. The Arcane Repair Beacon applies another stack of arcane repair to the Supernova.

The Street fighter lacks a dark dragon to stomp on, so instead goes and picks a fight with the light dragon for 40000 damage. The Bowl of Bonemeal heals up the eggfleet battleships to full. The HARDS continues protecting the arcane repair beacon. The LMG Noob outshines his inherent noobishness by completely obliterating the final darksteel golem. Becquerel teleports a bunch of the boombots into the pyramid, removing 15K boombots without detonating their retaliatory attack. The Engineer continues working on his turret.

The Godmodder decides some thinning of the herds needs to be done, and takes out a lawn mower, setting it down to go mow over all the low health AG entiites. The pixel swarm gets ground up into hard light in no time, the blood thirster is disemboweled shortly thereafter, the arcane repair beacon almost busts up the interior of the lawn mower thanks to the HARDS, but in the end it, too, is groud up, the engineer fails to get out of the way in time (poor dude, should've lasted longer) and after that the lawnmower drives off a cliff and smashes at the bottom. Wait, a cliff? Where are there cliffs around here?

...eh, sure, I accept the strife.
Opening move. I charge annabel, aiming to ram them. chances are, they dodge out of the way, so I turn and fire a bolt of energy.
just kidding. psychic prediction makes the whole thing rather boring. Dragon eyes, a trick I stole from a... dragon. the one who fought the templars of a different plane and destroyed the leader with a technicality.
its rather mentally intrusive. granted, it can be stopped when ones ready, but that was when it was used by, well, not a normal person, but nowhere near a descendant, and it could be made harder to resist by dumping more draconic energy into it. and I, being a descendant, have as much of that as I want. I pour in more energy, more, ever more. I reached approximately 78 times the maximum concentration usable by the dragon I stole the technique from. Anabels mental defences buckled silently, not warning her, as what purpose has an illusion one knows is such? I proceed to begin flickering the effect on and off, swapping illusion such that their future-prediction capability with regards to this battle shows 4 entirely separate and largely unrelated realities. to put it another way, they can no longer say "I predicted that thing and dodged it perfectly with my prediction-y stuff." in response to everything. preliminary setup.
Entity orders to come:
the engineer buns, if they have no projects in progress, start working on a shield generator to give (an?) entity(s) attack shields every turn or 2. if they finish that as well, they repair the burrow. they also obtain a morale boost from no long being in danger of permanent death.
the statue uses reputation again.
the portal portals in some more engineer buns.
worshipers worship their gods, giving the statue an attack shield
(evolved)light dragon heals itself with its heal ability if thats possible, else it heals the burrow.
physicist bun idles
standard action:
I give the suspicious triangular figure statue an attack shield by dropping a tower shield on it. meaning a tow- er shield. meaning it starts towing the statue around. meaning the statue is moving and the shield is spinning randomly. which makes it pretty hard to avoid. which means the figure got an attack shield so there.
random-note: why is it so easy to clear all of the dark dragon's corruption stacks? ~ half its attack was sacrificed to give it the corruption-effect on shadow tendrils (since S.tendrils does 10k instead of 20k) and people keep clearing multiple turns worth of it with single actions.
Randomnote 2: hey look, #reiteration in response to me reiterating something I said! what are the odds?

SIDEQUEST: I really should hurry up, there are even more places to explore by now. I head to the armory, as I might need weapons to fight of ghosts in the cemetery.
