Ooh.
> Check all of the names of the organizations and individuals industrial lasers have been sold to in the Kumi-stack. Could provide something of interest. Oh, and further examine all of the glyphs on the seal of the coins, as well as the seal itself, if possible. I'm not so keen on leaving this main room yet. I sense something that's going to happen soon, no doubt. If anyone were to, say, open any jars, I'd recommend you cover your breathing apparatus, organic or no. I'll open mine, however that works, then try taking a more in-depth look at the contents. Namely, seeing if exposure to air changes anything, whether or not contact between the contents and my skin/external armor does anything damaging or beneficial, and (only if beneficial result from prior test) what it tastes like.

The door is already open thanks to PIONOPLAYER (no nickname).
You take a brick and examine yourself. You are like the others, but with glowing cyan eyes. I wonder where that came from.
You follow Piono and briefly wonder about the subject of gender. You decide that looking for genitalia would be weird and probably fruitless, and perhaps gender is something you could determine for yourself if you really wanted. It's not something that would likely matter, you decide.
The door swings open easily enough. Inside are a variety of shelves containing packages with images of foodstuffs on them, as well as a single desktop computer with a cracked screen.
You take a brick and a chunk of cement. You wonder how Paco knew of their existence, but decide he must have either seen them or simply wandered over there to take one. Your eyes appear to glow red, perhaps because that is the default color for spooky glow eyes and you have no chat server text color for any narrator to utilize. You examine the edges of each room, but do not find much of interest yet undiscovered except for an unnatural-looking fissure in the ceiling of the hallway. You have no idea what could have caused it or how one would investigate it.
In the Kumi-stack you find the names of one Lorcek Kelnar, a couple asteroid mining companies, Aperture Science, and a few other names in languages too alien to interpret. The glyphs and seal on the coins remain unintelligible. If you had something to compare them to, perhaps you could discern their meaning.
As you open the jar, sparks of rainbow vapor fizzle and churn, but it appears to stay in the jar. Perhaps it is heavier than this world's air. Exposure to the air doesn't seem to change its properties much. As you pour a "drop" of it onto your arm, it immediately stings, and you put the jar upright once more. You see an acid-like burn imprinted on the surface of your arm.
The situation seems to be that some people left the room, engie burned him(?)self, and the Kumi-stack sways ever ominously.
Your eyes appear to be light blue. You place your hand on the surface of the pad. You feel it vibrate for a second, and a ray of light tracks over your body as if scanning you. The claw apparatus suddenly swings over and latches on to your arm, and before you can react you feel your vision flicker and die as pain shoots through you. Your eyes slide open to see the others who had entered the room gathered around you, probably worried for your safety. It can't have been long since you blacked out. You look down at the right arm that you remember the claw gripping. In its place is an appendage you do not recognize as your own. It is jet-black instead of silver and has long, pointed talon-like fingers. On the underside of the palm is the opening of a clear glass-like tube trailing up your arm leading to a canister for storing something. Your vision has changed as well. Faint blue lines now radiate from every object you see. You feel... powerful. As if given some sort of energy source, you could... push them all down. The room is bare aside from the machine. You feel rather apprehensive about it now, but you reason that you came out of it alive in the end. "If FRALC is the fuel, why, COIL is the engine. You see, COILs, why they can do just about anything if you use them in conjunction and put your mind to it, disregarding the small resource issue. Putting your mind to it, why that's the tricky part, now isn't it. Pushing and pulling, such simple concepts, that when you first get acquainted with the concept, why you might just get lost in it. But when you apply the descriptor, everything is simply a push or a pull in the end." What will you do? Put your jar of FRALC in the canister for storing, then PUSH the machine, if that's too big, push the brick out of Paco's hands.
If this works, grin and say to emerald "You know what? I think it was." If not then shake your head and say to emerald "m-maybe. I think I'll be alright whatever it did." Originally posted on 2017-06-05 23:53:00 -------------------- Once upon a time there was a story...

Well, based on what's happened so far, there is only one possible way to react to the discovery of this fissure.
>Attempt to stretch arms to reach fissure and pull head up into it to investigate. If too short to reach fissure, begin gathering and piling objects (the chair in the first room if it's sturdy enough, the desk if it can be removed from the first room, any potential crates in the newly-opened storage room, the jar if it could feasibly hold someone's weight without breaking, with the heaviest objects being at the bottom of the pile) beneath fissure until it is possible to reach, and then look into fissure. >That is almost certainly acid. I'm really glad I didn't drink that now. Although, one thing I should definitely do is close the jar again so it doesn't spill anywhere. Oh, and then I should really check my injury. It's not too bad, right? Now I just need to think of what the contents of the jar might be useful for...

You ask Piono and before even waiting for an answer, place your palm on the pad. You hear a mechanical whirring as the claw rotates over and descends. You black out. When you awaken, you discover that your hand has been replaced with a similar claw object to that of Piono. You see thin lines throughout the air attached to each object. Perhaps you could pull them if you so desired.
As the FRALC enters the tube, it hisses and fizzes. You concentrate on the lines connected to objects and flick your right wrist towards the machine. However, nothing happens. You turn your attention to the brick in Paco's hands. This time, you feel the rainbow gas fizzle throughout your arm, creating an almost electrifying sensation. You push on the brick, and it goes flying out of Paco's hands across the room. it collides with the far wall. You notice a gelatin-like substance dripping out of another pore on your arm afterwards. Some sort of residue, perhaps. Or perhaps not.
You are too short to reach the fissure on your own, so you proceed to drag crates and boxes around and arrange them into some sort of pyramid, which you proceed to clamber atop. You reach up to investigate the crack in the ceiling. Something definitely seems odd about this fissure. It looks completely dark, seemingly not leading anywhere. You pull your head inside and are confronted with a wall of something like black smoke. It completely blocks your vision, but all of a sudden two yellow eyes and a fanged mouth flash in the darkness, following your gaze. You pull your head out rapidly, but the eyes and teeth linger in your vision for a few seconds.
You close the jar and inspect your injury. It seems to be a slight blackening of your skin, but does not seem very bad.
You fetch the brick.
Piono's arm is, in fact, cool and new. You decide to follow suit, and after a similar and painful procedure, awaken to find an equally cool and new arm. You do not see lines linked to objects around you, but instead faintly glowing orbs in some spots of the room. Particularly bright ones shine near the machine and your compatriots' arms, and a softer one near the room's lightbulb. You can discern faint outlines of similar orbs all over the place, but barely recognizable. Perhaps you could pull something from these.
The desktop says "Vetrine Industries" on the label, and appears to be nearly unusable. There is, in fact, food in the crates, such as preserved candied walnuts and a packet of sunflower seeds. There also, however, is a cassette player, hidden underneath the foods. You suppose this could be used to discern plot information. What will you do? Check room number 2 again for a refresher of what's there.
Also, see if PUSHing on the rubble at the far end of the corridor dislodges it at all, or if PULLing will be needed. Originally posted on 2017-06-09 04:26:00 -------------------- Once upon a time there was a story...
