--Action--

Mabuz moves to O8 and casts Grim Bolt on Auth.

--HoleQuest--

Mabuz scribbles something on a note and hands it to the Mythril Dweevil. Naturally a curious creature, the Dweevil takes it from Mabuz to inspect briefly. It quickly realized it had no desire to keep the scrap of paper with the odd symbols and simply handed it back to Mabuz.

Accepting the note, Mabuz looked at it and grinned. Then, he feigned surprise. "What's this? Oh thank you, you're really too kind." Mabuz turned over the note to see that the Dweevil has, in fact, given Mabuz a note saying "I.O.U. one Mythril". The Dweevil takes bamboozle damage as Mabuz chuckles to himself.

Hezetor listen to Mari present herself, he suddenly has a flashback to an an event that still has to happen, in an moment his hands begin to produce an arcane flame, before higher level metashenanigans kick in and he realizes that said thing never happened and never will. He calms down and lets the flames disappear.

"Oh, Mari, the one that was Xavier, I’ve heard of your horrible fate. I’m surprised that you can create things given your situation… apparently they let you keep part of your mind.

Still you make a mistake, the clear answer is “both” the only reason one would not put both in a robot as you defined it it’s in case you fear of your technology being stolen or you are severely lacking in materials, which changes the way you have to think the drones.
Regardless, you have to consider how quickly the drone itself can move without a teleported, the kind of damage it has to do, generally talking positioning is fundamental in battle, so I would immediately suggest a teleporter, but it also depends on how quickly it can use it, how often and the teleporter itself becomes less useful if you already have a very quick drone that can fly over obstacles. On the other hand a teleporter can become quickly useful for a slow and more sturdy drone. The addition of a railgun on the other hand is always welcome as there can’t really be too much firepower, unless you are designing a stealth drone and you don’t require firepower, but the advantage of superior firepower is quickly overlooked by the ability to teleport out of the danger.
Then there is to consider that in general is better to use both on two different types of drones as to allow a more generalized and distributed army...
"

After continuing like that for a while…

"So in general I would suggest that a teleporting device is more suitable even given the potential limitations in at least 4 cases out of 7. But a more in depth analysis of the situation at hand and your limitations may be needed.
While we are at that let me check the last one.
"

As he says so he snaps his fingers and gets the Data Stick appears in his hands, after blinking for a moment about the design of the sick he plugs it in a small rectangular device and copies the data there.

RPless. It's clear people want this over with so we can move on.

Dark casts a Turn(), because wynaut. He then moves to (N7) and meditates. Give me anything at all for the element.

He also throws his skillpoints into HP.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND SIXTY-FOUR>
RPless mode selected!
-skipped RP due to vacation-

JOE does a stats thing. Neato. Kinda rude there, but oh well. Roxxanne also gives her opinions to Mari, and spawns a cake from out of nowhere. Hypersugar Cake obtained. Darkside then also tosses points into HP. Dimitri then asks the Small Man if he can buy In the Light... but is told that he'll give it to them for free if he wants it.

<HOLEQUEST>
JOE mines a small chunk of Mythril off the Mythril Dweevil. While this doesn't actually yield any usable Mythril, it still deals (6) points of physical damage, and (0) points of emotional damage. Emerald then takes the mining approach just like JOE, albeit in a stranger way for (7) damage.

The foes idle to maybe give the players more time to act. The Mythril Dweevil pulls out a phone, and plays [YOUR GAME HERE ONLY FIFTY DOLLARS]. It's a good game. Then, after the foes decide to idle, Mabuz sneaks in a cheap shot involving an IOU. The Mythril Dweevil takes (8) damage... and a shard of Mythril flies off of its body! Mythril Ingot obtained!

<BATTLE: TURN EIGHTEEN>
Fatal Error's pretty low on AC now... but odds are, given that nice, shiny, GMBS passive, you probably won't be able to kill it that easily! Anyway, pay attention to those clones, and those INCREDIBLY DEADLY attacks. Don't forget to abuse those free respawns, too. They're there for a reason!

Also, no updates until the 11th or 12th. Turns out updating on vacation is really freaking hard. Feel free to post RP again- I'll get to it next turn, since I won't be on vacation by then.

OK, so, basic wheel of events here that involve more than one person, in loose order:

-Engie rezzes himself and combines with Toast
-Roxxanne will attack, get the 3rd Bloody Eruption to go into my supermode, then buff Operatoast with Enchant as well as an insurance policy against evasion for more damage.
-Lyra buffs Auth with her special to restore Auth to doubleattack glory
-Auth uses newfound doubleattack glory to heal Lyra and himself of Doom, then buff the newly-minted Operatoast with as much damage boosters as he can (Cos and Pel)
-Someone heals Roxxanne (or I sneak in an item use)
-Operatoast murders FE as hard as possible.

So, the order for this turn is:

-The Operative (to use Special on Toast)
-Roxxanne
-Lyra+Auth
-Toast

As long as these people act in this order, I'm OK. Heck, Cyan can act whenever as long as he's not before me.

A few other things: Don't worry too much about GMBS. It'll probably be more something to stall the fun fight out longer than anything 'mean,' if you understand. As for defensive positioning; check the notes over the FE's and make sure you're not in range 3 if you don't want to tank or can't.

Roxxanne, in the spirit of what I have just said, will move to M8 and punch FE. Hopefully I'm not BM'd by 5% dodge; if so, I will huff and punch again. If I am not BM'd, I use Bloody Eruption, hitting up Tyrant Overlord State. Roxxanne will then give off her 100% accuracy to Toast and then Splash Enchants with herself dead-center. Either way, Roxxanne will retreat to J11.

-WARNING: The following post contains mass amounts of character development/change towards Lyra. If you don't care, scroll down about 3 or 4 whole vertical pages to see the action.-

The moment the Fossil fades away, the current Lyra crumples away as the body goes fully unpossessed. It turns pure white, and drops to the floor…

~Moonscar Manor, Study~

Lykari is sitting down at a desk, her head currently buried into a book. Lyra enters the room and looks around, just to see if there’s something to read.

”Hello, Lyra. How are you doing?”

”Hm? Oh, hey. I’m fine right now, and I was thinking about grabbing a book here.”

”I didn’t expect that from you, but since you’re here… do you mind if I ask you something?”

”Not at all. If you want to ask me something, that’s okay!”

Lykari sets the book down, and stands up from her chair.

”Do you regret anything that you’ve done here?”

Lyra jumps slightly at the question, putting a foot behind her in shock.

”Huh? What do you mean by that?”

”Xavier. Redstone. Patch. Do you have any regrets to what you did to them?”

”What’s that supposed to mean?”

”You know what you did, even if I doubt some others haven’t.”

”But-but those two deserved it!”

”If the former was supposed to be punished, it has lost all power over him, and the only reason you did the latter was bandwagoning. Take a moment and tell me if it was worth cold-blooded murder.”

Lyra is legitimately starting to develop fear, if her face is any indication.

”Lyra, I don’t want to be the mean person here, but I really do need to ask this.”
”..........”

”Who are you, Lyra? It’s okay. You’re among friends here.”

”I… I’m…”

Lyra is not taking any part of this well… Lyra slowly puts her hands to her face and… cries? Has she actually been broken?

”aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”

”Not the response I expected, but it told me what I needed. So you do regret your actions.”

”I’m a monster, aren’t I? What have I done? Why have I done it?”

”Is there anything you want to talk about, Lyra? I can try to help you get through it.”

”And how are you going to be able to help me? You’re still me. You know everything about me.”

”Does that change anything?”

”Look around at what I’ve had to deal with and try for yourself!”

”Lyra, I understand your frustration, but you need to understand that it’s all in the past. Nothing that shaped you then shapes you now.”

”Then why aren’t you getting angry at me?”

”I’m above petty anger, Lyra. Hardly anything can get under my skin, and if it would, I could brush it off easy.”

There’s a cutting silence as Lyra struggles to think of something to come back with.

”Then where were you when I got the letter?”

”A part of you too small to take hold. I couldn’t do anything if I tried.”

”Do you have any idea how much that one letter made me suffer? It was excruciating, having to live with that one stupid slip of paper.”
”Yes, Lyra, I understand that losing your father is a major issue, but you need to move on with it now. Did you not swear to never raise your hand to kill a human because of it? Because you didn’t want to have someone die in a war, like he did?”

Uh… plot twist much? I’d think Lyra had a bit worse of a backstory, but compared to everything else, a dad that died a war veteran doesn’t seem all that bad.

”It was painful. Having the hope that one day, your father, who’s been gone for far too long, might come back getting snuffed out like that ruined me.”

”Cut to the day you had power, as an equivalent to the others here.”

”I tried to take up a sword of my own. I tried to slay the one who would’ve killed my father. But… I thought about it. They had a family. They could’ve had someone just like me, who could go through the same thing I did, but with no recourse. That was enough to prevent me from ever trying.”

”And is that a reason why you do the things you do? To stay your hand from murder? To protect innocent lives from the despair you faced?”

”...You’re… you’re entirely right, yet somehow the things I’ve done here…”

”Are just as, if not more, morally questionable then murder, including the time you literally broke that promise.”

”Look at me, Lykari. I wanted to be some kind of hero, but look what I turned out to be. I’m nothing more than what I detest.”

”Then change it.”

”Change what?”

”Change your actions. You aren’t a mindless monster, Lyra. If you were, you wouldn’t have been able to regret your actions.”

”And how am I going to change the past? I can’t do that. Nobody can do that.”

”Then change the present. Do something to make up for what you’ve done. Making amends is not a hard thing to do.”

”Even if I were, how could I do anything to the two I’ve wronged? Xavier’s actually more likely to deny me, and I can’t do anything to revive to the dead. I’m not a nekomata, after all.”

Wow, actual references to Japanese creatures? This is starting to actually feel like something well-written.

”The fact that you legitimately are regretting your actions is one thing you can and are doing.”

”But that can’t do anything. We’re just sitting here, talking entirely about how I feel like a bad person for what I’ve done and being reassured that I can still do the right thing.”

Yeah, it’s not like there’s a narrator publicly displaying this entire conversation for everybody to read, showing the people you’ve wronged you do regret your actions because, at this point, the fourth wall forgot to show up to work today.

”Even the narrator agrees with me, Lyra. Why can’t you make a difference?”

”Even then, look at who we are. Thanks to my incident with the fan, now I’m just a gigantic split of eight people, all of which are just paper-thin variations on the same person.”

”But, at the end of the day, we all stem directly from you, displaying a different facet of who you are as a person.”

”W...what?”

”Why don’t we think it through, and justify all eight of our existences as different parts of your whole?”

”If you can do it, then go ahead. I’d like to see, too.”

”I’m thankful you allow me to do this.”

Sadie represents your desire to actively rise up and fight against those who have caused wrongs in your eyes. Since you are really trying not to be a murderer, though, she has some limitations on what she can actually perform, which is a technical justification for her methods, even if none of us agree with them or wish to associate with her. She has a heart, but it shows in a much more direct and violent way.”

”And does that redeem her as a character?”

”I fully admit that this is not meant to redeem any character; I only wish to show how all of us are still active parts of you. It’s a sad truth, but it can’t be helped.”

”...Let’s just move onto the next example now. I just hope that she can be useful in some way that won’t harm the rest of us.”

Duo is the manifestation of you as a trickster and a person, taken to a bit of an extreme. Even if this is my opinion, her personality is what I believe this to be the reason for, as she is known to rather quickly switch between two of them to the overconfident, brash one and what you are now; a wreck of emotion.”

”H-hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!”

”She is you as seen through others now; a trickster with a dark past, if your lack of sharing it is any indication.”

”...Well, you’re not wrong, I… I guess...”

”I’m glad you can understand my rationale. Now, for the next entry.”

Offbeat is actually one of the parts that are less than good about you. She’s your inability to be able to act from everything you try to hold yourself against, represented by pure sloth. She’s still just as if not more capable than any of us, but always leans toward inaction, because what’s the point?”

”What? She didn’t strike me as that kind of person.”

”She’s not expressly a ‘bad person’, but her representation gives off slight hints of it. It’s strange.”

”I… I never would’ve thought about it that way. How do you draw these kinds of conclusions?”

”You have a backstory, and that’s what is supposed to create every part of your character. All you have to do is establish a ‘how’ connection.”

”...This is starting to hurt my head. Keep going, please.”

Hyper was born of your optimism, that you still bear and once held before you had to hear the bad news. Constantly running with a smile on her face, she does not care about much more than what’s directly in front of her, and can keep a sense of hope in pretty much any circumstance.”

”That one was obvious. Did we really need an explanation?”

”It did because I have to make sure everything has been done.”

Luna is your very, very serious regrets that you harbor for what you’ve done deep down. I’m going to be serious and state that she is a rather weak one emotionally, and does have at least some awkward tendencies, but it’s all subconscious.”

”Gee, thanks for making me feel worse about myself.”

”I don’t intend to make you feel like a worse person, Lyra. I want you to understand why we exist.”

”Aside from-”

”Yes, aside from the obvious draws to other series. We only have two more to go over, so we may as well get it over with.”

”You do not instill confidence.”

Silent... is hard to get a read on, but I know enough to say that she is the part of you that you really wish to keep to yourself. Silent shows a lot of self-restraint, even if she looks reserved at times. She would actually be very good at putting down opponents, if I want to be honest with you.”

”Anything else you want to use them to bash me for?”

”...Lyra, why are you acting so depressed? I understand that not all of them are positive aspects, but I don’t want to lie to you.”

”I don’t want to be reminded that I’m a bad person. I already feel like a failure for forgetting what I tried to be.”

”We still have somebody left you’re forgetting an explanation of.”

”And then… there’s me. Lykari. Despite all the negativities we’ve been through, there’s still somebody that upholds the good person underneath. Nobody, not even a Mary Sue, is truly perfect, but you should always at least try to be good. You might not think so now, with how you feel, but I know that you can be a good person.”

”How…? How can I be a good person? You’ve just called out multiple horrible things I’ve done and given me a laundry list of negative emotions that are now completely separate from me! What am I supposed to do to fix this? What can I even do to fix this?”

”You already have. Admitting your shortcomings is a critical step to growing as a person.”

”But… how am I even going to do anything about it now? It’s already too late. The game’s practically over. Everything is pretty much set in stone.”

And there’s the slight hurdle of RPless mode nullifying critical moments that could be pulled…

”Let us help you. Lyra, despite everything that I’ve gone through, you’re still you at the core. You can control yourself, and yourself alone. We can help you through this, you just need to trust us.”

”You’ll help me? Seriously? After the things I’ve-”

”Now’s not the time, Lyra. We’re all still here for you. You just need to let us help. Don’t you want to stop this? Don’t you want to get away from your past, and do something to atone for what you’ve done?”

”...”

”...Yes. I… I do want to do something about myself. And if you all want to help me… then I shouldn’t deny you.”

”Thank you for understanding, Lyra. Let’s make things a bit brighter. For your sake.”

”...And I should thank you, as well.”

~The Present~

The ghostly white body of Lyra slowly regains its color, returning to their standard owner. It rises up from the slump it fell into, before it begins to speak.

”Sorry I was out. I was doing a bit of… self-reflection. There was some things I needed to address.”

It occurs to you that a number of… about two-foot-tall chibis, for lack of better description, now seem to surround the floor around her. There’s another on top of Roxxanne’s head, too.

”Don’t worry, these guys don’t bite. They’ll try to help. Just let them near you, and they should assist.”

Are we really going the Mythology route and going back to pair-up bonuses?

”Now then… why don’t we do some debugging?”

For plot-based reasons, Lyra’s special has been renamed to “Assist Team”. Functionally, it acts the same.

Lyra moves to M9, and places one of the smaller foxes into Author's hand...Offbeat buff applied to Author!
"I know you already have, but try to take good care of her, okay?"

Lyra then steps back to P8.

In the battle, Oppy's body seems to have burnt down to scattered wires, still crispy from the flames they just got bathed in. Surely that's a death blow? Well... not exactly. The wires begin sparking. Then, they lash themselves together, hurling what remains over to an essence of creation... and, moments later, Oppy stands back up, fully intact.

"Hmm. Warm."

...He doesn't seem like he's feeling so great. The wires spark. His bodily form dissipates into base wire form, looking like something of a dangerous mess of parts as wires aimlessly flail in different directions, eventually managing to pull together again and sort out something to do. Namely, since Oppy doesn't seem to be doing that great himself, the wireframe components walk themselves over to F10, then wait until they can fuse with Toast. Namely, after she's done doing the whacky thingy. I think.

Emerald moves to L6 and casts Counter, punching Fatal Error in the face to hopefully draw its attention. Won't actually deal damage, because I'd rather not die than deal whatever damage would come from punching

summon stays in place, ands JOE moves to J13 and casts portal.
meanwhile in the mithril ore vein, I decide to eat the dweevil. it skuttles away, not wanting to be eaten, and accidentally bumps into the gold dweevil. the gold dweevil gets mad. it buys and throws a harming pot at the mithril dweevil. the mithril dweevil takes like 1 damage. the mithril dweevil gets mad. now they hate eachother and will probably try to kill eachother, horray?

DURASTEEL VEIN:
I decide to cast portal for the purpose of not getting killed by the random green energy, and craft an iron pickaxe... with 3 iron... and 2 sticks, mad with 1 wooden plank that I used magic to cut in half.
I proceed to mine the durasteel with the newly-gained pickaxe. woopdeedodadonezo

DarkSide basically uses all his mana to have razorblade typhoons eat the Fatal Error. He then moves to (O11).

Toast moves to F9 and uses Promise Upheld twicerino. Same combo as before, since that seem to work pretty well.
1. Fossil's Guidance.
2. Coded Heart (self).
3. Chairnado Spin.

3. Fossil's Guidance (FE).
[Note: Lifesteal does not work on non-basic attacks.

If she gains a third action through fusion, she uses the second set of actions another time.

Since I have no idea how the fusion will work, Toast has no idea either. She just says "heck".

Auth looks down solemnly at Roxxanne's lack of reaction to him.

uA: Yeah. Good talk, Roxxanne. Um.

uA: I'm gonna go. I promise not to poke the Hezetor, alright?

uA: It'll all be over soon, so we may as well enjoy what time we have left, right?

Auth is being surprisingly optimistic right now. He slinks out of the cave where Roxxanne is, and meanders back to the Clearing, where everyone else is.

uA: I'm back, everyone. I'm okay, just a little anemic right now. Don't worry about me (because it's not like anyone would anyway, right?).

Auth says to nobody in particular and smiles at his own self-deprecation, before sitting down against a log.

uA: I should drink something. That blood loss can't be... healthy...

Auth's eyes widen at his own sudden realisation, as he mutters to himself.

uA: OH
gorilla, MISS OMO!

Wow, potty mouth. Probably justifiable, given the circumstance, but still. Auth quickly staggers up, before rushing around trying to find Omo. A strange, purple-red handprint is left against the log. Maybe someone could have a look at it and ask Auth what it is when he gets back? It doesn't really look like blood, it's too deep for that... right?

Auth rushes away, to find Miss Omo, and when he does, falls to his knees.

uA: Miss Omo! Are you okay after what happened? How do you feel? You can kill me if you like as punishment for being unable to protect you, I don't particularly care, in fact, it'd probably get that off my conscience.

Auth appears to be going into some sort of emotional shock. After spending a few minutes hyperventilating, he rises to his feet once more. Of note is that Auth appears much paler than before.

uA: Calm, Author... Miss Omo, are you aware of what happened yet?

Quick action: Auth uses newfound doubleattack glory to heal Lyra and himself of Doom, then buff the newly-minted Operatoast with as much damage boosters as he can (Cos and Pel)
/wip

They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

Siria moves to E6, pops an Overclock stack, and unloads six Assault Mode shots into Fatal Error Clone 2.
