<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE>
The duo of Emerald and Toast keep digging into the earth. Then, it turns out the "hissing" wasn't really hissing so much as it was a digging noise, because english is hard mkay. Splinters fly out into the hole as two Glitch Diggers make themselves visible! They narrowly streak by the two, one of them quite nearly devouring Emerald's head. Despite no actual harm being done to the duo however, the hole is very slowly destabilizing, and it'll keep destabilizing as the worms dig and dig! It could be a tactic to just ignore them and nab the Mythril though; they won't destroy the hole very fast.

Meanwhile, somewhere not within a hole, the Operative decides to talk about the "thing" for Chloe. She lets out a big sigh of relief, and watches the conversation unfold. Mari expressed confusion when the Operative mentions an outlet in terms of de-stressing.

ut: ...How daft are you? I meant like an electrical outlet.
ut: I can find a new dryer easily enough, but finding an outlet might be hard. I'd power it myself with my newfound powers... but my electrical energy might be a bit strong.
ut: But, a bit of de-stressing could be good on the nerves. I'm still on-edge from nearly dying from Roxxanne's experiment, so...

The Operative talks about the hatred between them, and how she has many a reason to zap him.

ut: It's... fine.
ut: Sure, you may have made me gorilla my pants that one time I spiked your girlfriend, but you've done a good job of keeping her off my back...
ut: Really, it's just nice that she pesters you and not me twenty-four-slash-seven.
ut: Anyway, I think I'll pass on using you as a literal outlet. It'd piss off Chloe... and you don't want to be electrocuted, do you?
ut: ...You really don't, right?

Chloe leans over to the Operative, whispering something.

[small]ga: You, uh, forgot to ask.
ga: You forgot to ask her to... zap you.
ga: I-It's fine, though! Just take it slow...
ga: I'm not bringing up the thing, though! Still wanna have some face...
ut: the hell you whispering about
ga: nothingggggg
[/small]

Roxxanne interupts the conversation by bringing an update on the WARE battle to the group. Unsurprisingly, Mari and Chloe are shocked by this.

ga: Wait, what!?
ut: Oh, cool.
[small][small]ut: Well, maybe not cool for you guys, but it's cool to know that I got a proper boss battle after all.[/small][/small]

Mari takes a moment to think upon hearing about the Anomaly, while Chloe rather-frantically tries to "comfort" the Operative.

ga: It- It'll be fine! She's not me! I think!?
ga: You're totally stronger than me- it'll be easy! Go ahead and beat me up...?
ga: ...
ga: ...How do I give a pep-talk to someone about beating their girlfriend up? I don't think there's a single way you can make that positive.
ga: Just... don't hesitate, alright? If you don't fight back, others could be hurt, or even killed.
ga: Don't let other-me do that to you, or anyone!

Mari's hair then suddenly lets off a discharge of static.

ut: ...Sorry. I had a "lightbulb" moment.
ut: Given who's there; Chloe, myself, and one other being, I think I can assume that the Anomaly is a version of Experiment 15.
ga: She has a name, you know!
ut: Shuuuuuut your mouth. I'm being sciency.
ut: Anyway, as I was saying, she's more likely than not Experiment 15.
ut: Given that she's invisible, it'd pay to have a way to track her down, right?
ut: I have experience with her. I could build something to track our 15... and assuming they're similar enough, you could use the tracking device that I'll build to track down their 15.
ut: Simple! Actually, I'll go whip that up for you right now.

She runs off to her house, eventually coming back with a mish-mash of spare parts that look to be a combination of a radio, a satellite dish, a GPS, a tracking device, and a little keychain for style points. She also drags over 15 Wire Bits and 16 Circuit Boards, and tosses them into the inventory.

ut: Behold! The Fifteenth Sense!
[small][small]ut: Trademarked. Copyrighted. All rights reserved. Don't @ me.[/small][/small]
ut: Using this... well, not really a "marvel" of a device, tracking her down should be easy enough. It's really easy to use, too! Even Marron could use it, for instance.
tc: I'm still here you know-
ut: Anyway, here you go!

Fifteenth Sense obtained!

[small][small]ut: By accepting this device, you have agreed to give the CEO of Mari-Tech (that's moi) three dollars and a really nice mexican meal. Mari-Tech is also not responsible for any injuries, burns, cuts, mutilations, growths, soul-scars, mental scars, scar-scars, or instant death that the device may cause. If you are not satisfied with the device, please take 7 Cobblestone, throw it on a grid, take the resulting Giant Stone Middle Finger, and go and gorilla yourself with it. It is a perfect little device, you picky little gorilla.[/small][/small]

With all that said and done, Roxxanne purchases a Life Bottle.

<BATTLE: THE ROOM, TURN EIGHT>
The party is beginning to near TPK... and that is naturally really really bad. While you won't need to reset the entire WARE battle if you do wipe... it'll still suck a lot. Be careful, alright? It might be worth asking a certain tem for a loan so that you can get Life Bottles. Or maybe sell things.

Foxxanne buys a life bottle. She doesn't use it yet but she'll need to. She can't afford to buy it and use it immediately anyways due to the double-price thing. "Note to self: Make sure Revive is a very common spell among our team before we head up to the summit... Oh, oh, status update," she says. "So, we're dealing with WARE. There are these Glyph things he's got. We're not quite sure how or even if it'll kill him, though we have trustworthy sources on the matter. Either way, WARE's invulnerable with them up so we don't have a choice. I think they're representations of WARE's life, and... Well, they're also kind of sucking us into something whenever we do enough damage to break 'em. On the third, and the fourth is ready to be destroyed when we get out-err, can't break two at the same time or life is bad. This Glyph has to deal with... Err, you two." Foxxanne says, the fur of her tails growing into two pointing hands to gesture to Chloe and Mari. "Before all of your, err, alterations, I mean, and thank goodness as trying otherwise would have been a lot harder. They're weird creepy overpowered thyme-entropy copies regardless, though, and then there's the fact that there's also an invisible Anomaly waltzing around trying to murder us. So, to be kinda honest, nothin' really new... Except the invisible thing. That's mildly new."

Temmie Roxxanne will move to J6, doublepunch the Coder, and retreat to M8. Roxxanne herself will do likewise but retreat to M7 instead. "...Almost ready for at third Special use. Then we can have some real fun, ehehehe."

The Scale Serpent will attack the Duelist and move to E13. The Temmie Hero will guard and eat a Cinnamon Roll to heal to full in the absence of a healer.

Toast looks at the results produced by the scanner. ...This scanner sucks. She shrugs moves to N5, attacks the Duelist, then retreats to M6. I'll figure out if that's a valid move sometime later.

She also feels an indescribable angur for some reason.

~~

Meanwhile, in her future, Future!Toast takes the newly acquired Crimson Rod and places a bloody cloud at the mouth of the pit. The rain shouldn't harm either Emerald or Toast, due to Terraria logic, and since both the Nimbus and Crimson Rods tend to be highly effective against worm enemies, there's no reason not to do it! Disruption is likely a bad thing, since the island is sort-of-alive and all.

Emerald continues digging, noticing that the Glitch Diggers are actually helping, as destabilized dirt is easier to dig

Emerald moves to L6, knives the 3rd Thyme Hand, then retreats to L9

"Who did that!?"

Creo moves to N5, then shanks ThyHan3. If Emerald lands his knife on it, Creo hits ThyHan4 instead.

In battle: Oppy's movement first, please. I feel it'd lose meaning if it happened after one of the duo die.

Oppy just watches what happens, looking rather uncharacteristically concerned at all the mayhem and death happening around him. He keeps watching. His sword hand twitches. It'd be really nice to have something to hold onto right now. But there's no time for that, is there... he still can't muster up the will to fight, knowing who he would end up crossing swords with. It just isn't in him. Instead, he slowly walks over to K5, right next to the Duelist. A moment passes.

"...You've been blinded. I know that's somewhat obvious to you, but still. I suppose I might as well do something..."

He proceeds to calmly and quietly narrate the events of the battle to the Duelist, making sure to avoid anything that might risk her obtaining knowledge of how to kill off anyone. It's not a long narration by any means, but he still goes ahead with it. Eventually, once he's done narrating, he pauses for a moment and glances towards the Coder, then back to the Duelist.

"I really didn't want to say this, but it doesn't look like your brother is going to survive much longer in this battle. There's still a way out of this, Chloe. If you can hear me, please, just lay down your sword, get him to stop fighting, and I'll do everything in my power to try to ensure both of you get to live. I'm aware that there's another presence here, too, and I'll try and ensure she can live too, whatever it takes. I'm full aware of the futility of it all, I just... I..."

There's a long pause. Oppy hangs his head. If one were to look really really closely, they might be able to note that he's... not exactly looking like himself. Despite everything, he honestly looks quite scared and regretful.

"...There has to be a way other than battle. It's not too late... but if this battle continues, nobody's winning this one. Especially us."

He still, thankfully, has the presence of mind to back off out of the range of the thyme hand beams, at least, ending up at K3. There's a pause. He suddenly makes a noise of alarm as he notices the portal, then he focuses his attention on the Duelist.

"That portal! The two- uh, three of you could leave... I think that might be the best chance any of you have for all of you to live. Because if you don't flee or surrender, then I'm sorry, but you're going to die. Just, please, do something that doesn't result in more people dying!"

...He's pretty desperate. He knows that, sooner or later, something bad is going to happen, and he also knows that he absolutely cannot hold back his sword forever. He just hopes that there's another way. One where he doesn't have to fight a variation of the one being he can't bring himself to engage in battle. Not like this.

Oh, also, he guards. Because why not. More HP, MP, and AC is always good. It's not much HP and MP, but it'll have to do, dammit.

Out of battle: Oppy just blinks at Mari.

"Oh, that kind of outlet. I'm just used to that in the term of something to help someone de-stress, not the literal kind. My bad. Heh."

He looks a bit awkward for a while, but nonetheless continues.

"And, yeah, true. The kind of electrical power found in appropriately-themed living beings tends to be a bit much for most common appliances, usually. I say usually, since there are sometimes exceptions. Believe me, mastery over electricity to a precise enough degree that one can power appliances makes for a whole lot of utility."

He decides to not verbally answer Mari's question, but the look he gives her in response suggests that actually, he'd be quite fine with electrocution. Given his whole electric-themed nature, he's used to it by now, beyond... having other reasons. But then cue the whispering from Chloe, who he turns to a little to listen to her properly, then glancing over at Mari again when she joins in on the whispering. There's a short pause.

[small][small]"Actually, Mari, the whispering is because of the rather awkward subject matter. See, a while back like I mentioned, Marron kinda killed me at my own suggestion in order to de-stress, and then after that I think she might've been joking when she said it, but she did query whether or not I might be a masochist. I ended up eventually revealing the reason why I did so to Chloe after she found out, and then requested her help with testing whether or not what an actual answer to that question would be, but she refused for very obvious reasons. She did reason that maybe you'd be able to help instead, since I don't really want to bother Marron to test it again in case she makes fun of me for it, and Ette is not an option for other obvious reasons, which only leaves you as an option in terms of people who might be willing to inflict incredibly painful torture on me but not kill me outright. So, yeah, we're just whispering about the best way to go about requesting your assistance instead because both of us keep having awkwardness issues with it and all that."[/small][/small]

Beat. Realization.

[small][small]"Wait did I just"[/small][/small]

Oppy quickly interrupts himself, instead turning to Chloe again and listening to her attempts at a pep talk regarding the battle. There's a pause. He looks very awkward for some reason, having trouble meeting her gaze directly, then he eventually speaks up.

"No, she's definitely you. I have enough experience dealing with alternate selves to recognize when two similar people are alternate selves. And there lies the problem. Yes, she's an alternate self, but she's still one of you, Chloe. For the entirety of the battle, I've been trying to figure out a way to get the fight to end peacefully or to talk with her directly, since it seems her voice isn't working, as opposed to actually trying to fight. Others have undoubtedly been hurt, and especially killed, because I can't bring myself to attack. But I know that if the battle goes on much longer, I'm going to have to draw my sword again... if I even can. The others have been doing quite well even despite my failure, I'm sure, but... ngh..."

There's a pause.

"...Should've packed Revive with me on the way in. At least then I'd be able to do something... Lapsing into a fully psychopathic state might be enough to get me to fight, but, heh, that's probably not happening..."

Oppy doesn't sound very happy right now.

Apparently Zetaboards died earlier today, so I'll be allowing a bit more time to post and such. Besides, I think more posts than 6 would be good- especially since you're low on living people, and things may or may not be down to the wire.

How unfortunate... it appears that both the Coder and Duelist are in prime range for a cone-based attack to debuff them both. Perhaps you should read up on positioning tactics...

I move to J8 and give both the Duelist and Coder cases of bad poison. There's no real benefit from moving away from my current position, as I am already immune to the Duelist's line-based charges, so I'll stay here.

Foxxanne nods in response to Mari. "My thoughts exactly-though I wouldn't call any of those things any of you guys, or Nia. Fakes. No mercy for mindless remorseless constructs... Which has been a depressing majority around here... But that's niether here nor there. Thanks for the help. Now, uh, I'm gonna try something new here in a moment so if I spaz out, it's probably OK."

Roxxanne moves to I8 and readies up. "Well... wasn't expecting a passenger for when I'd use this, but that's probably hopefully not a bad thing," she says as she proceeds to execute her third Special use on the Coder, lopping off even more AC. And somehow, again, spraying Roxxanne in blood. Yes, inexplicably, her special seems to just generate blood out of nowhere, despite the fact that her three previous targets are incapable of bleeding. And it's somehow normal blood too. Not weird thyme blood. At this stage, enough of it to cover her entire body head-to-toe. It then starts seeping to cover up any gaps.

Just before it totally covers her, Roxxanne gives the Coder the most demented smile she could possibly give, twisting well beyond the boundaries of her face and right into the open air, before she was totally covered in blood-and the smile retracted into the red liquid.

The blood remained static for a second. Then it twisted its colors to some deeper, more dire red, mingling with newfound black-and then it started to bubble-and then the blood exploded outwards, revealing once and for all that Roxxanne couldn't get enough of changing her appearance, and this time, Roxxanne seemed to be embracing her inner Ruby Rose, if Ruby and Yang switched weapons. And if Ruby was a twisted vampire daemon thief extraordinaire who was previously a literal sue to end all literal sues that had just recently undergone symbiotic possession to an angeilc kitsune sadist girl, and all things considered, probably more. So very unlike Ruby, except for the outfit having a clear thematic basis in Red Riding Hood and being black and red. And that was it. So, more like she was embracing her inner Little Red Riding Hood? Who the hell even knows.

Roxxanne's fox ears had been relegated to the proper positioning for her daemon ears, though they were still fuzzy and in the same shape-more than likely to not be interfered with by her now very menacing and prominent horns, standing straight and tall. Indeed, her physical apperance seemed to in many ways mirror that form she briefly took when standing upon the pool of light back at the Telltale Heart fight, with the only physical alteration being the additions that her fusion had given her, the fox ears and tails... And altered eyes; black sclera, red irises, black pupils in the shape of hearts. And the tails were dripping with the red-and-black mystery liquid that was covering Roxxanne's lower half, down to some sturdy-looking black boots and up into her skirt. The minidress itself was mostly black-and-red, with a reasonable and sensible amount of frills and a card suit motif, disregarding the very obvious and very large second mouth on her skirt, in a manner that a certain Angel known as Pit may recall to be akin to Perpell. Really, all taken together, it looked like a magical girl outfit.

Then swords abruptly burst out of the sludge on the fox tails, all nine, with the middlemost bursting into a particuarly familiar blade.

And then more arms. Because Roxxanne can't conceive of a stronger form without more than two arms.

"Yamata-no-Orochi is here to kick your ass!" Roxxanne declares, pointing at the Coder.

Now, Roxxanne won't do anything more if it so happens that they surrender. But because I don't believe they will... As Lyra is now next to Range 1 of Roxxanne, Roxxanne grants her the immense power of 100% accuracy via her special free action. Then, Roxxanne will doublepunch the Coder with her remaining actual actions before bouncing to G11.

Temmie Roxxanne will move to O8 and spend her turn buffing up, refreshing her Enchant: Electric and if possible, her Counter. She'll not retreat.

the Scale Serpent meditates. Seriously.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR>
Toast at the Splinter Drift summons a bloody cloud above the mouth of the pit. As the worms come out in an attempt to murder the two miners, red rain causes redrum, splattering one of the worms. The second digger adds +10% Disruption to the pit on its own, then manages to take cover within the walls once again. It'll probably swoop in again in an attempt to kill somebody. Emerald keeps digging downwards on his lonesome... and then falls down a few feet, apparently in a cavern with a few monsters. Heck. You could probably still ignore them and keep digging on down, but I'd seriously advise being careful now. Then, in what's likely to be a very awkward conversation, the Operative explains some things to Mari, through a very long whisper. She takes a moment to let it all soak in.

ut: Wait, so...

She begins to sweat a little, stuttering and stammering. Her face gently lights up, her cheeks going very red. Like, Pikachu-tier red. In fact, it's just blatantly Pikachu there's static building up on her cheeks well then-

She's certainly abandoned whispering by this point.

ut: Y-You want ME to test if you have a kink. If getting hurt gets you off or something.
ut: That's what I'm hearing.
ut: ...
ut: What the gorilla!
ut: ...My SISTER of all people is right here, we're in what basically amounts to a public place,
and you want ME, and not the sadist puppeteer, to inflict electrical torture on you... to see if you like it!?
ut: Do you realize what the gorilla you're asking here!?

Her skin crackles with power, going from pale to a fearsome grey; that of a stormy sky. Her hands charge up with electrical energy, turning into what are basically miniature tesla coils.

ut: Honestly! Chloe's so soft that you could probably get her to beat up on you eventually!
ut: And Marron- well, she'd make fun of you anyway whether or not she tested you! Why the gorilla are you scared of her making fun of you, of all things!?

Marron meanwhile, has fallen off of the log bench, doubled over with laughter at seeing the scientist blow up on the Operative.

ut: As internet law dictates, you must be punished! You must be kinkshamed!
ut: K-KINKSHAME!

She raises her arms up into the air, a pulse of lightning surging into the skies. It soon travels back down, crashing right down on the Operative. Everyone in the vicinity (sans Ette, who lacks proper eyes) is flashbang'd by the power of the blast. When vision slowly drifts back to everyone, they're treated to the sight of the Operative, who's in a rather small crater. Chloe, who was sitting right next to him, is a little "shocked" in multiple senses. She does seem to be fine though, aside from her hair being all frizzled and messy. Mari laughs in the way only a mad scientist can, before trailing off...

ut: wait
ut: that's the worst possible way i could kinkshame you
ut: fuuuuu
ut: just gorilla me up now

Mari floats the short distance to the nearest tree, and proceed to slam her head against it multiple times. The tree eventually takes lethal damage from these headbutts, exploding into flames and falling to the ground, somehow not causing a second large-scale forest fire. She then floats back to camp, plops herself back on the ground criss-cross, and just sorta buries her face in her lap. Meanwhile, Chloe tries to give an intelligible response to the Operative, but she seems to be a bit too stunned to do so. Roxxanne then thanks Mari for her help.

ut: hurray i've helped two people today
ut: woo.

And then, as a POST UPDATE SPECIAL, we're now covering Speed's post! Here we go! After standing still for an eerily long time, in which everyone at the Library sans Auth took a break to go get some coffee, Auth's army of specters, despite their small numbers, manage to rip through the horde once again, in an Avengers-esque style. Because there's always that one scene where everyone is back to back, killing things. Despite the great successes in general slaughter, the Specters are eaten one by one. Red gets tripped by a Seeker, who then accidentally gibs themselves with explosions. Orange ends up flinging an Iti towards herself with her whip. Yellow dies because seriously a spanner is kinda short and not a great weapon for batting things. Green is eventually worn down by sheer spam. Blue is taken down by a slender looking "wolf-like" humanoid that lunged up and ripped her jetpack off. Violet is unable to sneak around in the flood of creatures, being discovered, run down, and eaten.

The Iti begin to cluster around the Commander... It looks like there'll be a bit of time to maybe formulate a plan of counterattack. One thing to note is that Omo has stopped struggling. She's trying to wave her arms about, but is still ensnared by the tight hug of the Commander.

Meanwhile, at Zone 1, Auth takes a moment to talk with the now rolling-on-floor-laughing Marron. Her laughter slows as he begins talking, but she still lies there on the dirt, listening.

tc: Of course you suck at hiding it.
tc: You suck at being subtle. After all, you'd make it a lot more obvious if you wanted to get in-

Ette promptly muffles her sister sister for a second. Marron brushes her arm away, then sits up.

tc: But, I guess she has done a lot for you.
tc: It's... understandable that you'd like her.
tc: But, a good person? I don't really think so. Leader? Sure. Person? Hell no.

Auth then notes something about one more reason. Marron gains x1 Coy Smirk.

tc: One more reason...?
tc: Heh. Tell me. It'd be funny.

beat

tc: You don't need to, of course...
tc: But yeah. Friends. I can work with that.
tc: And yeah; watch what you say! You've said the single gorillaing creepiest thing I've ever heard!
tc: "I'd make it so much more obvious when I intend to lewd you."
tc: Seriously. Learn to talk.

The TV that Auth made earlier out of ink roars to life again, and then he goes and smashes his head on a log while trying to turn it off. Pain ensues. Marron chuckles.

tc: You also need to learn to walk, apparently!
tc: ...That looks like it hurt, though.
tc: Ette, make sure he's not gonna die or anything.

Ette promptly scrapes some frost off of the Hollowed Logs, ties it all in some Boring Old Robes, and then places the newly-crafted impromptu ice pack on the Author's head. She also slips that nice little pillow that the Operative made under his head. She then waves something to her sister.

tc: Ette says that you should get some rest, and try and not move around too much.
tc: And to not bash your head on any more logs.
tc: She also says that you're a huge klutz-

Marron tanks an Ettepap to the face.

tc: Okay, maybe she didn't say that.
tc: Just be careful, alright?

<BATTLE: THE ROOM, TURN NINE>
The Duelist is now alone. To make up for her new case of loneliness, she's obtained a large power spike... but a loss of AC. Also, the Anomaly hasn't changed one bit, so don't worry about her. She won't be going after you. At all. Totally. Hahahahahahahahahahahahhaahhaahhhaahaahha.

Auth spawns in on G13, uses Mr. Stones on the Anomaly, wherever it ends up, and uses Violant + Cosmogone on Roxxanne. Prior to Spawning in, Auth forgets the melody he had in his head, instead learning to Revive people.

EDITS TO SPECIAL:

DESTINY: AUTHORITY is now a thing. Check the sheet for effects. The stack Auth gains from using Mr. Stones goes onto Roxxanne.

SO THE RP BEGINS!

In the Library, Auth appears to be totally calm as the Iti draw in around him. He's down quite a number of specters, but this doesn't seem to worry him at all. In fact, he's down to his last seven. Though, again, he doesn't havea look of worry on his face. Black waves push out from the circle of Specters for a minute, before exploding out, throwing all of the Iti away without killing them. This leaves a huge circle in which Auth has space to move.

The spectres get to work shoring up defenses against the soon-to-be-awake Iti. While they're stunned, the Yellow spectre throws up a series of cannons in the circle, ideally to protect the two people on the inside of the ring. Red tosses a whole bunch of bombs at the cannons, which absorb them as ammunition to fire at whatever unlucky Iti decides to get in its way that morning. Orange dashes around the mid-zone, burying grenades and dropping bear traps, setting tripwires and head-height cheese wires. Iti head height cheese wires. Blue takes off, using the jetpack on its back, and starts looking for Iti being shot in. Green sneaks into the stunned Iti ranks, and pretends to be one of them again. Indigo builds some walls intended to stop the Iti in their tracks. They happen to be where the traps aren't, and they're tall. With spikes. Painful looking spikes. Given how the blood of Iti has been seen too, Indigo coats the spikes in something that looks, smells and feels exactly like Iti blood. Violet sneaks around the Iti ranks as well, stabbing stunned Iti in the throat before they have the chance to wake up properly.

Let them come. We will make the enemy pay in blood. They will wade through their own dead to make it through. But... that won't happen. I refuse to let it happen. Omo, I swore I would protect you, and so I will.

Auth puts some earbuds in his ears, before hitting play on an MP3 player in one of his pockets, and allowing the song to begin.

As the Iti eventually wake up, the guns built by Yellow begin to sing. The Iti are battered with artillery, blowing them away effortlessly. The Iti burn as explosions envelop them, as the cannons fire multiple shells per minute. They don't reload. They don't need to. As Iti die, more are shot in from a cannon, somewhere. Blue relentlessly mows them down. The Iti reinforcements are dead on impact. When Iti aren't raining in, Blue rains bullets on the ground, slaying Iti as it strafes the ground, a hailstorm of bullets following it. Green shoves Iti into traps, and when it's discovered, Green reforms into a great behemoth again, throwing Iti away like scrap. It's effortless for it to cast Iti away like mere tissue paper. Indigo's spike walls protect successfully, as Iti charge onto it and die, from being impaled. The walls then spring to life, hurling corpses at their compatriots, intentionally trying to knock them over. Violet hides well behind enemy lines, and hurls kunai and shurikens at Iti, who don't even realist it's there. If the Violet specter is noticed, it disappears and reappears somewhere else. Like a good ninja. It also throws smoke bobs around, disorienting charging Iti. Iti also get caught up in even more explosions from buried mines, and get caught up in bear traps before falling into cheese wires, killing them. The Orange Spectre's traps are expertly placed and disguised to allow for the best stealth.

Red, Yellow and Orange aren't just sitting around, either. Red is running around in the forces, hurling bombs around, setting off chain reactions along the mines to cause anarchy. It's like fireworks going off inside the forces, killing random Iti carelessly, as the Red Spectre giggles maniacally. The orange spectre uses her whip to trip Iti over, and force them to fall over the cheese wire and die. She also uses her whip to drag Iti towards herself and punch them super hard. Really super hard. The yellow spectre smacks Iti in the face with her spanner, and then electrocutes groups of Iti at once through Iti thrown about from the hits. The Iti's electrocution is almost cartoony, showing the skeleton inside.

They make a valiant last stand against the Iti, and their chances of winning are significantly greater than zero. They batter and annihilate the Iti, relentless and merciless in their defense. They refuse to give ground as Iti surround them, and they push back. The Spectres are more than a match for the killing machines that are Iti. They provide adamant resistance to the Iti who intend to kill Omo. The Commander just sits there, hugging Omo. It'll use its body to protect Omo before letting Omo get hurt. They swore they would, and so they shall.

ZONE ONE...

Auth sits silently, somewhat fidgety near Marron. He pulls his coat up his face, using the extremely large collar to hide his face, having turned a bright, kinda purpley-red. He's flustered.

Sh-shut up... I know I suck at hiding it but still...

Auth snaps back up as Marron questions what Auth sees in Roxxanne.

Well, Miss Marron, perhaps it was because I was not around for when she did that, but after I got here, what Roxxanne has done...

Ignoring her thyme-bent prank, which I intend to get her back for someday, she's been extraordinarily kind to me. She's given me a fair chunk of my equipment which I then modified, and she was nice to me, even though she didn't have to be. It could be argued that perhaps she needn't have been. She's shown great bravery in taking on Flumpty all by herself. She has shown resolve to be a good leader and person.

[small][small][small][small]And admittedly, Roxxanne is kind of cute.
[/small][/small][/small][/small]
There's one more reason, too. But I won't say what it is, that's far too personal.

Auth sits back, more relaxed now.

Friends is fine. I said that already. I was never uncool with you, you overreacted to something I said. Perhaps I shouldn't have said it? Anyway.

Then the TV blares to life again, showing the last stand of the Spectres and the Iti, playing the song Auth had on his MP3 player in his pocket out of it. Auth is embarrassed after that, and rushes to get the TV off. Unfortunately, his coat is caught on a log. He trips and falls over, hitting his head on the side of the log.

Ow.

...

I'm seeing flashing lights, that's not a good sign, is it?

AND ONTO THE FIELD...

Auth appears to be undergoing a mental shutdown. Fortunately, Offbeat is taking care of making sure the body doesn't shut down... soo...

Are you kidding me?

Inside Auth's head, away from everything else inside there, Auth comes face to face with...

Well, at first, it appears to be himself. But then the other figure opens his eyes. His sclera is blood red. His red hair has white accents. This other being is glaring at the broken auth.

abhorrentUniversal: Allow me to differentiate us further. The dull text was irritating me.

undyingAuthor: Who... are you?

aU: I'm... it doesn't matter. What do you think you're doing?

uA: Uh, sitting here... being... uh... away from everyone else?

aU: I didn't know I was inside the mind of such a major pansy.

uA: Wh-what?

aU: Why the hell are you here?

uA: Well, uh... Roxxy has affections for WARE.

This other figure hits Auth across the face.

aU: Try again.

uA: Wh-what?

aU: How wrong do you get!? You know she only did that just to screw with him! That's why WARE kept pressing that, to try and screw with her back!

uA: Well... I mean, I guess it doesn't matter, does it? She did the same thing to me.

aU: Actually, she went a little further with you than with WARE. You're saying she did that exclusively to screw with you?

uA: Yes.

aU: Then why are you so affected by this? If you know she doesn't have any feelings for you, then why are you here sulking about it?

uA: Uhm. That is. Uh.

The other figure just smirks.

uA: Shut up.

aU: Stop sulking here. Get out there.

uA: I don't quite think I'm ready to.

aU: sigh...

aU: Why not?

uA: Because-

aU: Actually, no. I don't want to hear it. Gorilla off.

uA: Fine.

aU: You're a lot stronger than you think you are. Have some self-confidence, mate!

uA: Thanks.

Auth finally snaps out of his stupor, standing up and entering the Glyph-Memory. He is last, so he looks at the Coder, nearly dead. Everyone else had attacked him, almost but not quite killing her.

You'll have to kill it.

Auth shouts out in surprise.

uA: Wha!?

aU: Don't shout, you're the only one that can hear me. Now, you have to be the one that kills that Coder guy.

uA: Wh-why?

aU: Do you see anyone else able to take care of it?

uA: ...

uA: Okay, fair point.

Auth swings Inkscalibur at the Coder, piercing his chest with a bolt of ink. The red-and-gold ink bolt covers Roxxanne too, giving her Violant and Cosmogone.

Roxxanne cracks her knuckles. "You had the chance to run, bitch! In there, it's later-here, it's now. And here, I'm so capable of making it hurt beyond imagination!"

The Temmie Hero moves to J11, uses Temflakes to give soup a bit of love, and sits at L12.

The Scale Serpent moves to E10, Guards and hisses at one of the potential Anomaly locations (let's say H13) because of how he's being pinned in.

Temmie Roxxanne rushes to L7, pummels the Duelist with both punches, and retreats back to O8.

Roxxanne herself stares at Authbeat in a rather extreme way. "Oh, lovely sister, please don't misinterpret this as a sign of anything other than sisterly affection. Or self-affection if you really think of it that way, hard to tell. But don't misinterpret this as mere pragmatism either."

Roxxanne proceeds to bless Authbeat with the power of halved MP costs. Roxxanne then rushes off to G5. "Now, trash! Get lost!" Roxxanne screams as she beats the tar out of the 2nd MP hand, which explodes after the second punch. Roxxanne takes the third action and uses it to refresh Enchant: Electric.

"Good god, this is like the best adrenaline rush ever! I am having a power high and loving it!"

@Sp33don: Auth must move to K11 and spawn in Chlorin on L10 and Dimitri on L11, then retreat to L12, then use the revive bottle to spawn in JOE on M11.

@JOE: Moving from where you are isn't required if you don't feel like it but you must revive Rikoriko.

@Cyanogynist: As above, Revive Battlefury and make sure you're not standing in the way of any devastating attacks.

AND NOW FOR THIS TURN.

Auth does EXACTLY as Tazz told me to. He runs to K11, and creates two pillars of light. He revives Chlorin on L10, and Dimitri on L11. Then he dashes to L12. He smashes the Life Bottle on M11, respawning Joe.

uA: Right now, I'm only considered your sister because of Offbeat residing in my body.

BACK TO THE LIBRARY...

Next in playlist... starting...

Auth is now starting to worry, he's running out of Spectres, and he doesn't have time to make any more. Even worse, the last Spectre he has, Indigo, is best for defensive roles. He sighs.

uA: ... Running out... I'm sorry, Omo, but this is the only way I can do this.[/b]

Auth puts Omo back down on the desk, and then creates several ropes of Ink. They bind Omo to the table.

[b]uA: I'm sorry, this is for your own safety.
[/b]

Then he signals something to the Indigo Spectre. It nods, and crouches down. Auth clenches his fist. His form fades, and reforms into a more solid armour set. A large sword is drawn out of the ink reserve Auth has. He charges towards the Iti, leaping into the air, where Indigo decides to move. It does a screw-jump, launching straight up, into the air, spinning, with its left arm facing up. A stream of ink shoots out, and makes it to where Auth is, Auth melding his feet into the stream. Indigo shifts down, and down goes the stream. With this, Auth moves much faster than with running. His sword, a Zweihänder, cleaves Iti to pieces.

Auth uses his accelerated speed to move fast enough for the Iti not no be able to catch him. Occasionally, he leaps out of the ink stream to sword individual Iti. He uses the sword like a pole-vaulting pole, launching into the air. The sword melts, searing Iti around it, before reforming into his hand. While the sword is absent, two huge blocks of Ink are formed in Auth's hands, and Auth smacks the heads of Iti with them, probably snapping their necks at the speed he's going. But the Iti don't seem to stop. Ever.

This is a problem. A fairly large one. Auth knows where they're coming from though. So the stream heads up, eventually peaking, then holding firmly, with Auth standing atop it. Several enormous , flaming swords split the field, burning Iti as they go. Auth stands as tall as he can, then cocks his arm back. The arm with a sword in it. He then throws it forward, putting all the force he can behind it. It gains its own aura, igniting as it rushes through the sky. The place it intends to go? The cannon. It intends to split the cannon in half, and the sky splits behind the sword. Eventually, it makes contact. Piercing the wooden sphere, it leaps up, stabbing the cannon. Fire should begin to engulf the cannon, and all the Iti around, stopping more joining the fight.

[b]uA: Dunno if that's going to work, just going to have to wait and see.
[/b]

The stream then pitches forward, sending Auth back towards the ground at such high speed isn't funny. When contact with the ground is made, the stream splits off into several others, igniting. The ends open into dragon heads, and they work like Wyverns, breathing flame and consuming Iti, forming more fire out of their remains. Auth, remaining on the ground, heads back towards the center. He puts his larger sword through a number of Iti as he charges back to where Indigo and Omo are. After successfully making it, Indigo puts up several large, overlapping barriers between themselves and everyone else, while continuing to control the dragons.

[b]Marron's bit might be in the next dop, maybe not. Depends on if I finish in time.

uA: I'm very much aware that I am ineffective at being subtle; I hold honesty as an integral part of my personality. Perhaps I can be too honest at times...

Auth smiles as Ette shooshes Marron.

uA: Thanks, Ette. That one more reason? Oh, uh...

...

Auth's face turns a bright shade of Violant at that. Wait, Violant? Isn't that the wrong colour? Violant is a burgundy colour, isn't blood red? Marron may pick up on this and question it. Anyway, it appears Auth is getting flustered recalling the memory.

uA: I'm not entirely sure if I should tell you what it is. I believe it would be impolite to do so.

Auth nods when Marron says that it's understandable that he'd like her.

uA: Well, at least I'm not the only one who thinks it makes sense. Though I guess I'm the only one who sees Roxxanne trying.

Auth groans as Marron talks some more.

uA: Yeah, I know. Watch what I say, okay okay. I'll keep that in mind for future reference. Friends is good. Yeah. Thanks.

Auth laughs gently as Marron snarks at him.

uA: My coat got caught on the log, when I stood up it was already there. I didn't notice. It's not like I don't know how to walk. I was being absentminded.

Auth thanks Ette after making an ice-pack and giving him a pillow. He laughs as Marron adds her own comment and Ette shooshpaps her.

Dimitri revives Battlefury at L10.
Dimiheart spawns at L12.

Emerald calibrates the Anomaly scanner. Somehow. He also knifes the Duelist, using the Q. C. Helmet's effect for that extra damage

"What is even going on anymore, and should I really try to find out?"

DarkSide moves to (J10) and fires a salvo of Razorblade Typhoons at the Duelist.

---

A DarkSide clone performs a megaman-style entrance into the bottom of the Mythril-hole. Except upon landing, the force loosened the dirt below him, which he proceeded to rip from the ground and put in the inventory.
...why.

"Oh hey enemies, lemmie just..."

He then proceeds to grab the Glitch Skeleton by its skull after lunging at it, and smashes it into the wall nearby. The resulting force actually left a decently-sized crack in the wall, about 3x the size of the skeleton's skull. The rest of the major structural bones are snapped in the middle via liberal application of throwing to the ground on top of two spaced-apart rocks (that were just laying there for some reason) and stomping directly in the middle of them, snapping them like twigs.

"...Roxxanne, while I appreciate the thought of additional accuracy, you should really have known that status effects applied in that manner ignore such things. Even though this has probably already been showed off for you multiple times, I can forgive it; memory is fleeting, after all.

I'd also like to state that, at this point, any form of pacifism or otherwise being able to beat this battle with less bloodshed is outright impossible for a number of reasons. I could go on about how this is a memory still under some form of control under WARE, how WARE deliberately wants us to kill them out of mercy, how we have already killed her brother and there's no way she would forgive us, how we have already attempted reason in this fight alone, and how if pacifism was ever an option in any part of this fight, we well could have Chaos halfway dead by now from time saved, but..."

Lykari just stares off into the distance, avoiding the eye contact of Roxxanne.

"You're not even listening to me, are you? I don't expect you to even react to this. It's all only conjecture that you have no obligation to respond to, and have no reason to as well."

I move to N7 and attack the fourth hand, applying Bleed to it, and retreat to M9; under normal circumstances, I would do this to the Duelist, but she has obtained status immunity, making my entire purpose of attack useless.

...Lykari finally averts her gaze to anything, and has a pleasant conversation at the edge of consciousness.

Spoiler Alert
Lykari sits down, and pulls out a cell phone. No real decoration aside from a few painted-on lines, Lykari makes a few texts to somebody...

-~-Phantom Messager conversation started with subjects GoodUsername and RegalFox. All texts are encrypted and only saved upon request.-~-

RegalFox: "Hello, Offbeat?"

GoodUsername: "Huuuuh? What do you wanna talk about, Lyki-chan?"

RegalFox: "I appreciate the new nickname, but I couldn't help but feel some... strong emotions of anger coming off of Author."

GoodUsername: "Whoa, you can sense those? That's sooo cooolllll...."

RegalFox: "And I was hoping you knew anything about it. He's one of us, both in alliance and in... well, spirit."

GoodUsername: "Sorry, I had to make sure he didn't fall over or somethiiiing. I can tell what them said, though. They were kinda loud, so I could hear them from alllll the way from where I was. There wasn't even any background noise to distract me."

RegalFox: "I'd be concerned about how you listened in on a private conversation, but then again, fox ears are sensitive. Now, tell me about the person that Author was communicating with."

GoodUsername: "Whooooa, how did you know that? You must be like a psychic or somethiiing!"

RegalFox: "You said them instead of him or they, which is not only grammatically incorrect, but also heavily implies there was a second party involved, even though if you said they, the deduction would've been identical. Now, tell me about the other one."

GoodUsername: "Okaaay, Lyki-chan. He was a big, stuck-up jerk! He was being impossibly rude to Author, calling him a pansy and telling him to get some self-confidence! He just sounded arrogant and I haven't even seen the guy!"

RegalFox: "Can you give me any direct quotes?"

GoodUsername: "Yeaaah, I think I remember a few. He went all like "How wrong do you get!? You know she only did that just to screw with him! That's why WARE kept pressing that, to try and screw with her back!" or something."

RegalFox: "Aaaaand that's all the information I think I need. Repressed feelings of self-worth, determination, and other, more positive feelings have taken form as a more arrogant being in an attempt to spur proper reactions on the Author. Of course, this is merely a hypothesis; I'll have to have a one-on-one talk with him after the dust settles on this fight if i want to understand the situation further."

GoodUsername: "But why come, Lyki-chan? Can't he handle it?"

RegalFox: "That's the entire problem here, and why I wish to speak with him: I cannot answer that question of handling it, Offbeat. If he needs help, as an ally and current vessel of one of us, we are bound to make an effort to solve it. Even if there isn't much we can do, an effort is worth far more then inaction."

GoodUsername: "You're soooo cool, Lyki-chan. You sound like some kind of hero on a TV show!"

RegalFox: "I'm flattered you think of me that way, but this is all our talk is about. You should get back to Author now. If he does anything else suspect involving the "second party",
contact me immediately. Do you understand?"

GoodUsername: "Yes, Lyki-chan! Bye!"

-~-Phantom Messager conversation terminated by unanimous vote. This thread will be deleted in 30 minutes unless asked to be saved by either subject.-~-
