Auth uses Mr. Mirrors on himself. Devil Auth appears on J9!

Of note is the red sclera and looking exactly like Auth otherwise

He does the same job as The Author, just controlled by Ire and not me.

They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

fine, i interact with the vessel.
if i then become able to return to the entry point and go south, without permanently losing access to any areas, i do so.

The Tem Hero tries to Ninja NumberSoup to the F11 spot (that is to say the Tem Hero attempts to go before Numbersoup), Spinning Flakes the Line, and backs up to D13.

Roxxanne then moves to G11 and pummels the Line, Heaven Breaker included if possible, before retreating to G13.

Move to N9, medicate. i MEAN, meditate.

I ask our spoder friend if he could make some webs so we could get some spider silk so that we could trade it for surface silk so that we could trade that for whisper satin so that we could trade that for thirsty bombazine so that we could trade that for ivory organza so that we could trade that for veils-velvet which is not only easy to obtain but super valuable

Operative moves to F11 somehow, then slashes at The Line. Then, he retreats to... F13? I dunno. At least it gets him out of the way.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FOUR>
HealerX goes to Zone 4, and begins mining downward. He digs into the wooden surface of the Splinter Drift, and... doesn't make much progress. +5% Progress obtained. As he digs down, he hits... something. It might be wise to ignore it, but it'll slow down your mining efforts! Alt then thanks TOFS for the monies, then vanishes in a puff of time paradoxy stuff. She then asks Glitch Temmie something about the Core.

"The Core? Ah, it's that time of the year again. As you might know, the Core is the heart of the island. While it seems to be made of a grassy substance, that's just an outer coating of moss. What the Core is really made of is a potent source of Gravcore Ore. And that ties in to what I'm going to say.

Now, as you might know from the Walkthrough entries, Gravcore Ore floats just fine on its own without any power. However, given the sheer size of Splinter Drift, and the overall lack of Gravcore Ore within the island compared to its size, Splinter Drift slowly sinks over time. To combat this, Chaos taped a generator to the back of it, providing it a large pulse of power every once in a while, giving the ore the energy it needs to reset its altitude in the skies.

Now, for reasons that we're not entirely sure about yet, this energy is distributed around the island. We're fairly sure that the Core itself is actually a living organism that hides out in a shell made of Gravcore Ore, and it vents the power elsewhere through subcores that are distributed throughout the island. This power, bolstered by the Core's natural power, forms as a green energy that we Tems sometimes harvest. It certainly has its uses.

Now, is it dangerous? I'd say, yes; live wires tend to be dangerous! If you're concerned about the energy, you could probably disconnect the generator from the back of the Core for a little, but that'd probably have its own massive negative side effects."

[small][small]"Hey, Cave Story never explained the Core. We need to ad-lib this stuff here. Kinda."[/small][/small]

After that long-winded explanation, Toast goes over to Zone 1, and casts a line. Toast pulls up a Harpyfish... which immediately pelts her with feathers before being put into the inventory. 12 Feathers obtained as well! Chlorin then moves to the Hangar, and mines out some of the caved in area within Waterfall. While he doesn't make too much progress, he manages to mine 500 Cobblestone, and find a vein of Iron, granting 16 ore bits. How nice. Darkside then talks with Mari. She seems confused about how Darkside thinks that Chloe contributed more to the healing.

ut: Really? As far as I know, I'd have bleed out if it weren't for you.
ut: Your shout did most of the work... and Chloe just bandaged up the rest. You did fine.
ut: She's just "stealing your kills." Lasthitting. A non video-game analogy for what she just did. Whatever.

He then talks about how the Operative carried her back here.

ut: ...Isn't he the edgy one that threatened to stab me?
ut: He's also my sister's boyfriend, right? Hm.
ut: All of you are confusing. Only a while ago were you all threatening to murder me, and now you're all trying to ensure that I don't succumb to a pine needle, of all things.
ut: Fascinating.

She then asks for her USB drive, and a laptop. She thanks Darkside, before cracking the laptop open, plugging the USB stick in, and promptly doing HACKERMAN-esque stuff. There's plenty of highlighting, and deletion. She soon shuts the laptop, and places it on the table next to her, swapping it out for the glass of Eggnog. After taking a quick sip, she continues to talk with Darkside.

ut: Thanks for that. Anyway, I didn't really do much; just a few modifications to the plans of the God Hands.
ut: What I did wasn't important. Just removing a... "bad idea" from it.
ut: Nothing that you need to worry about. Trust me.

She breathes a quick sigh of relief, before downing the rest of the eggnog. JOE then interacts with the Vessel... which involves entering it. Then suddenly, the vessel shuts. The walls begin to pulsate, creating noises that reverberate throughout JOE's body...

*pulse*

There's a roar. The sound of breaking wires and catching fires. The screen attached to the vessel falls over, and smashes into the ground. There's broken glass everywhere. A pair of tendrils rip out of the vessel, and lift up the monitor. What appears to be a counter materializes over the monitor.

*pulse*

The Monitor suddenly fixes itself up as strands of code seem to materialize out of thin air, each one enveloping the monitor and vanishing. A face forms in the static of the monitor, that seems to simply stare at JOE.

*pulse*

JOE, like any reasonable person would do in this situation, blows a hole within the vessel, and rolls out. Now outside of the vessel, he gets to witness the hole that he just escaped through seal behind him with a gush of purple fluid. The monitor is promptly jammed into the vessel, which begins to rise up into the air. The "veins" that once stretched out into infinity suddenly go limp, and flop down below the vessel like strands of rope.

*pulse*

Two of the larger veins on each side of the vessel coil into what vaguely look like arms. Two more veins float up, and ensnare the monitor. The appear to form a neck of sorts, and the monitor a mask. And then everything goes black for JOE as a massive cracking noise is heard; almost certainly reality cracking in two or something.

He then finds himself... somewhere. I'd suggest scrolling to the right in the Zone 5 map. Hahahahahahahahaha. JOE is now very, very incapable of going south. Elsewhere, in a place where going isn't a violation of common sense, Battlefury asks TOFS for webs so he can make silk which he can trade for different sink which he can trade for silk-ier silk and... well, TOFS gets confused, but decides to produce some silk for him anyway. It seems like it'll take a bit.

Chloe then realizes the time, and departs from the MW Anti, saying her goodbyes to Mari. Mari waves her goodbye, and lounges in bed while waiting for natural regeneration to fix up the rest of her aching body.

<BATTLE: SHAME'S HOSPITAL PARTY, TURN NINE>
The boss has arrived! The winner of all the boss submissions, PitTheAngel's...

Uh, well...

[big]You are accosted by...[/big]

Anyway, a few things to note:
1. All dead players may respawn on the map, with 50% HP! If your "portrait" is a light blue, you may do so.
2. SHAME has a Global Plague Counter. This'll go up by 1 every turn, and even more if certain things happen. If this gets too high, your entire party may begin dying violently. It starts at 0... so you have a turn before the poison will begin to eat into you.
3. Three-point lists look nice, so there's three points. Whoa.

Now, while SHAME may not deal a load of direct damage, she'll eventually tear through you with massive poison damage that'll just keep stacking and stacking and stacking and stacking... until you die. Also be wary of SHAME's passives; most of them will put a wrench in your plans, if you don't account for them at all!

I figure that trying to do something when it says I can't do it, or can't do it yet, let me visit this wonderful place, and proceed to try going west. if it fails, for whatever reason, or there is some unmentioned reason why I can't like "no path" or "theres a wall", then I greet WARE and ask what’s going on,and why he seems to be angry at me?. if he trys to/ does attack me, then I try to avoid entering combat and Run like H-E- double- pipe-symbol.
also, "He then finds himself... somewhere. I'd suggest scrolling to the right in the Zone 5 map" I can see my current location without scrolling, and there doesn’t seem to be anything further right.
EDIT: in battle (final rush), I spawn on 13-h, being here while in zone 5 because of time shenanigans also known as IDC. I move to 10-e, attack shame, and retreat to 9-d.

One Mo Time! I whack The Line with an axe, again again. I could probably use some health. Hey, Author, or whoever the other healer is, I need some health if you don't have any other priority. "Oh good everybody is screwed"

Update finished, and we have the actual boss of the event. Don't die. Unless you want to. Which is cool.

Toast re-revs the Jadesaw with Light!

The Faceless Automaton uses Faceless on Toast. It then moves to C8, which is followed by Toast moving to M7.

Chlorin reforms on E13.

Meanwhile, C!Chlorin decides to go to Zone 1. He walks over to the Makeshift Shaft and attempts to use his status as a dodging god to evade railgun blasts, quickly mine the Iron Ore, and then GTFO.

No update today, but there'll be a poll on the front page, which you should go and check out.
Basically, I'm wondering if I should update every three days, as opposed to two. Posts have been really slowing down lately, and I think this might be for the best. If we decide to stick to the two day schedule and there still aren't enough posts to update consistently, then we'll be on the three day schedule anyway.

"You're a dummy and you smell, and you're uncreative too, greater than colon I! I'mma punch you! In the face! WITH MY FACE! I'll break all your protein coats, and then, and then, and then I'mma defecaticater yer face!"

Roxxanne proceeds to attempt to move before anyone else; she moves to J13 and use a Splash Enchant Light on that square, buffing up all those nearby-for the record, that's Toast, the Faceless Automaton, DarkSide and Lyra. She will also buff herself with Counter.

The Temmie Hero moves to G11 and uses Heroic Hoi, doubling attack damage the next turn. It would be wise to ensure that Tem gets buffed with Enchant Light this turn. Tem doesn't do anything beyond that.

>DarkSide: Become the ultimate kamikaze and take one for the team

DarkSide moves to (H9). Then, he does what he does best; nuking the everloving shit outta HP bars. By calculations, it should lop off 1/6th of SHAME's health in one go, which may not seem like a lot, but bear in mind this is a 1200 HP boss, so every giant chunk taken out is a good thing.

TL;DR, I use Final Form (kamikaze%) on SHAME after the Enchant:Light from Roxxanne.
