The Operative decides to perform a stat change. He takes out that one point he put into health all that time ago, puts it into MP, and exchanges Shock Bolt for Revive. Then, he drops in on the battle again, hopping in at I8 and taking a look around.

"Mana issues. Of course."

He then uses Revive to bring The Author back to life on J8, a position Op hopes would do nicely.

"If I remember correctly, you've got a way to solve things like mana issues. Mind doing that?"

Well, I think healing is currently more useful.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-THREE>
Alt goes on a stuff spree. She begins by taking the Diamond Ore and the Gold Ore, from the Great Tree and the River respectively. This grants 4 Diamonds, and 2 Gold. She then plants some Magical Cards in the area around Marron's house. If Marron saw what you were doing, she'd probably be incredibly confused, then shrug it off as the axe seemed to work. Alt then also downs the Spelunky Potion, and flies across each zone. Zone maps updated, each with a collection of ores! And also one mythril, somewhere! Use your clones to go and grab those; you're low on most of those minerals, so it'd help quite a bit!

Future!Alt also shows TOFS some card tricks. While he/she/spoder/tem's not very good at them, TOFS seems to be incredibly happy that somebody spent time with them, and gives Alt a chunk of gold that they found somewhere. In Zone 5, JOE mines the Gold Ore. Surprise surprise, it was trapped. A burst of some purple liquid that certainly seems like blood surges out from the hole where the ore was, soaking him! JOE then tries to leave the zone and go south twice, but... the platform leading back seems to refuse to move! And now the screen attached to the Vessel seems to be flooded with static. Why don't you go and investigate?

The Operative then opts to not swap skills, as that'd be somewhat abuse-y. He does however, purchase a life bottle for the purpose of the rez. Tha7gu9 then equips the Machine Gun, the HE-Grenade skill, and the Heal Nanobots skill! You could've picked another variant for your Grenade Skill, so I randomly chose the Pulse variant for you.

<BATTLE: THE LINE'S PINK FREAKING ISLAND PLACE, TURN EIGHT>
Only the Line is left now! Once he goes down, all players will receive a 50% heal... and all dead players will be rez'd with 50% HP. MP will also be restored by 50%. Just keep on going! Don't die in these last few moments; it's kinda shameful. If you got killed by your ally, you can rub the shame on them. Insert.

...Elsewhere, outside of the battle, Chloe arrives at the MW Anti. She kneels down by Mari's bed, and gazes at the still-present hole in her chest. She takes a moment to be thankful for her brother's life and wait hold the phone there's a hole in her chest still-

A few moments later, and Chloe has bandaged the wound using a Mage Robe from the inventory. She breathes a sigh of relief, then turns to Darkside. Or his clone, anyway.

ga: You probably should've bandaged that up earlier. At least it looks like she'll be fine-

Mari suddenly coughs, and begins to stir. She tries to sit up, but Chloe quickly stops her, before wrapping her new big sister in a hug, controlling her flames to the best of her ability. Mari is barely singed by her flames. Chloe begins to tear up...

ga: I-I'm so glad that you're okay-

Before Chloe can make the generic sappy "hurray you're okay lines", Mari raises a finger to Chloe's mouth.

ut: "I was so afraid that I was going to lose you, blah blah blah..."
ut: I get it. No need to keep going on with that.
ut: B-But, thanks, though.

Chloe lightly blushes as she releases Mari from her grip.

ut: So, what brought you here?
ut: I thought you hated my guts after the incident with Nia and everything...

ga: My brother literally almost died a few meters away from me!

Chloe nods her head as Mari closes her eyes. She's certainly not sleeping, but maybe it'd be a good idea to grab those plans for her. And also a laptop. She probably can't do anything just with the USB stick. That'd be weird.

She decides that this is as good of a time as any to take her leave, tells TOFS that she'll see them around and vanishes in a puff of time. She the reappears outside the Temmie Superstore. Alt, having finished her airborn expedition, lands nearby. Future!Alt catches her before she heads inside.

Alt rolls her eyes at her future self's timing, and goes back in time, where she fulfils her future self's past. Future!Alt, who I will now call Alt for continuity reasons, heads inside the store. Easy. Cool. No paradoxes. Woo. A conversation is struck up with Glitch Temmie.

Hey there. I was just wondering if you knew anything about Zone 3. I was just checking it out a few minutes(?) ago, and there seemed to be some wierd stuff happening with the core and such. Any ideas of what that's all about, or if it's any danger to us?

Regardless of tem's response, Alt then heads back over to Zone 1, and casts a line into the lake at The Clearing. WHO KNOWS WHAT SECRETS WE'LL UNCOVER.

Toast moves to I13 and uses the Blood Molding Scroll to summon a Faceless Automaton at I14. That should cost 13 HP due to STR, have +1 DMG and theoretically have MP Molding available, if I wanted that. There's no way this can go wrong. She then uses Limit Break, choosing Rogue as her new special. The air in front of her appears to shatter, and a few bullet shells fly out.

DarkSide's Clone, still standing by, watches the entire thing unfold, with what seems like a more clear understanding of what's what. A small, but genuine, smile was being shown, as the experience warmed his heart just a little bit; a feat that very few could replicate within him at this very moment.

Then, Mari adresses the Clone, to his minor shock. Perhaps at the fact that he's finally been seen as doing something... actually helpful. He quickly reverts back to a genuine smile, though, as Mari says her piece.

"It was nothing, really... I honestly thought the shout I did to heal your stab wound would have... you know... actually sealed it fully. I'm still confused as to why it didn't..."

He tilts his head slightly, looking slightly disappointed in himself. "At least it sealed the smaller wounds, I suppose. The nanomachines didn't do too much either, I don't think... maybe I'm wrong."

"It just feels... strange that a bandage made of mage robes did the job better. I guess that's why Chloe did that."

"You wouldn't have been taken back to here if it weren't for the Operative, though. His legs were a lot better than mine."

Mari asks for her USB Flashdrive and something to work on it with. The Clone looks at her for a second, quickly turning up a very understanding smile, bright eyes, and an equally understanding nod. "Certainly. I'll be back in a moment."

There was more than likely a laptop in Mari's old rundown house. So, running over there and searching everywhere in the deactivated house for a Laptop (likely being in Mari's old room, which was the first place he checked), he more than likely comes out with a laptop, temporarily putting it in the inventory for safety.

He returns to the M.W.Anti, with the Laptop and USB in hand. He hands them to Mari. "Told you I'd be back in a moment!"

He sits himself back down on a nearby chair, relaxed somewhat. "*Sigh*... at least I've helped save one person in this life. Usually when others I care for die, they just respawn, fully revitalized, with no real reason for me to actually help. I'm overjoyed that I got to do this. Makes me... you know... actually feel useful, contrary to the other type of 'useful' I normally perform in combat... y'know?"

This marked the start of the Clone going deep into thought, eyes closed. If asked anything, he'll likely answer, however.
