If ??? 1 turns out to be the real thing, I simply go ahead and Trueform 50% it after moving to (M11). Else, I do the same for the Everscream there. Either way, the attack will be non-elemental, or the element doesn't matter at all. If ??? 1 wasn't hit AND wasn't confirmed to be the real thing, I just bap it with a normal strike. Any way you slice it, I then retreat to (M10).

As the Shade was about to appear, a realization struck; thanks to the fact that Paranoid could send a normal clone here instead, he could use one of them to maneuver around the map while the other does battle.

So a clone materializes near the lava lake, opens up the Temmie Present that hadn't been opened in MONTHS (relative to IRL time), and begins fishing. Still using the Woodworms as bait. He looks very reluctant to talk unless spoken to for whatever reason. Perhaps it's because he technically caused the whole Chloe fiasco, which would explain why he also looks a little... out there while his line was cast out.

After that happens, Auth smiles, watching Roxxanne jauntily skip away. Auth smiles, not noticing Mr. Pages rapidly writing in a book, Mr. Apples with a shocked expression on his face, and Mr. Wines trying to toast again.

Auth hurries back to the battle, forgetting his coat again. By hurries, I mean he walks. Happily. He forgot he could phase into the Ink Specter he left behind. He has someone on his mind right now...

When he gets back, he almost snaps right into combat mode. He's still smiling though. He looks at chloe, and the violet ink dripping off her face.

Miss Elem! I am so sorry to have wounded you while you were taken over by The Placebomodder.

Is that spite that can be heard in his voice!? I wonder why. Auth dashes near his friend, at H6

He points his newly described blade at the group he figures could us a buff. It shines green, Viric. The colour of shallow sleep. It causes Roxxanne, Gladius, Chlorin, The Operative and Battlefury to become restless, have a need to move more.

Sorry, Miss Elem. I hope that makes it better.

ACTION SUMMARY:

Auth moves to H6, uses Viric on Gladius, Roxxanne, Operative, Chloe, Chlorin and Battlefury, then retreats to H5. He has Priority, as The Buff Train is coming through.

Roxxanne starts the turn off well by ignoring a long speech that somebody took their time to write. Classy. Shooty then reappears, and +4's his AGI, and +2's his HP, and runs into the battle. Toast then creates one heck of an ordering list. Wow. Alt, whilst hanging with Ette, calls the Mindscape peaceful.

tc: Heh.
tc: Since you don't live here, I can see why you'd think that.
tc: ...I've been jumped a few times by things, even during peaceful times like these.
tc: I'd love to be free of this place. Then I could stop worrying about getting murdered, and Ette could stop worrying about me.

Marron stretches, and then allows her eyes to flutter closed, like Toast's. The Operative's paradoxal other self or something I dunno then goes to talk with Marron, outside of combat. Despite having her eyes closed, she's apparently paying attention as he talks.

tc: What, you've really died that many times?
tc: I should question how many of those you deserved, heh.

The Operative then opens Ette's little present. Inside is a HP Orb. Marron seems to not understand the value of them.

tc: ...Eh? Why'd sis give you one of those shiny glowing orbs we have in our basement?
tc: They're kinda useless, but pretty. Ette kept trying to shove them in my mouth when she found them for some reason. I can't even think as to why she'd want to stick them in my mouth, but it was kinda funny.
tc: Then she stopped after I almost choked on one in my sleep.
tc: ...Not her finest moment.

She yawns, and listens to the Operative talk about Earth, existence, and possibilities. Until she falls asleep, in the middle of one of his sentences. CloneShadeDarksidePerson then opens the Temmie Present for himself. It holds a spell tome called "Regeneration". That's pretty neat. He then casts a line out into the lava lake, and pulls 5 Obsidifish and 2 Flarefin Koi. Teag then does something when he gets home. Except he doesn't.

<BATTLE: FINAL RUSH, TURN THREE>
?x9 has made more clones, the Soup got some good rolls, the Assassin is wondering why they're still around, and Smithy has taken an internship from Chaos. This'll be interesting.

Toast moves to D6 and attacks ?x9 1. Her second attack is used to eviscerate ?x9 2, which she once more augments with the Infinite Power Generator.

After she does so, her body descends to the ground as the efffects of Massacre wear off. Her banner-like wings begin to 'shed' whatever they were made of, once more resembling those of a phoenix. The crimson war paint on her face is simply rubbed away with a scrap of burnt hoodie she still has for some reason.

"Well, that was fun while it lasted. Maybe a bit edgy for me, though. Perhaps I should do it differently next time...?" Toast mutters, to no-one in particular.

Alt lets herself drift off to sleep. She has a dream about a multicolored bird made of wood.

Meanwhile (in the future), Future!Alt goes back in time to the current present, and goes over to TOFS. She sits with him (it?) and teaches it (him?) how to play a few card games.

Battle stuff: Is ???1 the real one? If yes, Operative moves up to E5, smacks ???1, and retreats to F7. If no, he moves to D9, smacks ???3, and retreats to D11.

Nonbattle stuff: Operative just responds to Marron's falling asleep with amusement at first, then he notices something she said.

"...Hmm. Shiny orbs in the basement... That might be worth checking out."

In the meantime, he shrugs, deciding he might as well equip the orb that Ette gave him since it's there. Next on the list of things to do, he glances up at Marron in her place in the tree. That doesn't look too comfy, he reckons. Thus...

...Oh look. Silkweed. He takes a few of the silkweeds, realizes he has no idea what to do with them, then just improvises as best as he can to separate them out, somehow resulting in gaining Silk + Weed. Clearly this is the legitimate way to spin silkweed. The weed, he puts that into the consumable items in the inventory. The silk? He'll be using that now.

Via extensive effort and some level of threading with wires, he ends up managing to stitch something together. It's like a sack, almost. Come to think of it, that thing is pretty much a Silk Pillowcase. Operative blinks for a few seconds. Just a pillowcase on its own is... well... basically useless. It needs something more to it. Only, what could- oh.

The fluffy dog barriers. He's not sure how many of them he needs, but he takes a few just in case. Since dog is incredibly dangerous by nature here, he sees fit to filter out the dog by way of aggressive washing, then aggressive shaking in the air to dry it off. That should leave behind just Fluffy Barriers, and also a small pool of dogwater, the stuff found in the drinking bowls of dogs. Ew.

Now, the final and simplest step. He takes the Fluffy Barriers, takes the Silk Pillowcase, shoves the former into the latter, and has made a Comfortable Pillow out of all that effort. Something that could be used to get some proper rest when combined with a bed, but it should nonetheless be pretty good for helping with sleep in general. Once that's made, he turns his attention upwards to the sleeping Marron.

If she's got any level of awareness left right now, Marron would find herself being gently propped up for a few seconds, something being moved, and then gently being let back down onto the tree branches, only with one key difference... there's a comfy pillow there. Presumably comfier than tree bark could ever be, at any rate.

No matter what happens, Operative then sits in such a way to lean back against the tree, staring out towards the scenery of the mindscape, humming softly to himself and whoever nearby might happen to be listening. Interestingly, he seems to be humming the tune of battle against a true hero, albeit at a much slower pace than the song itself proper. What else is there to do, to be honest? Not like he can go into battle. There's already one of him in there, and... there can only be one. What would happen if two of himself tried to fight the same battle? He's not sure.

Roxxanne will keep things simple. Should any of the ?x9s be revealed to be real, she will move to (respectively for 1, 2 and 3 as being 100% real) C9/E5/G6 and pummel the respective ?x9 twice, thrice if applicable. She will then retreat to E11/E7/E8. If there is any ambiguity whatsoever, however, Roxxanne will instead move to F13 and destroy the Chaos Saber, Heaven Breaking if applicable.

The Temmie Hero will shoot Smithy with the Tem Herobow, then move to L9 and Flakespin away. Tem will remain put to deal with the Assassin having easy run of DarkSide.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND NINETEEN>
Lyra begins the update by opening the PRESONT. The Presont, an entirely different item, yields 1 CROISSONT. Lyra also takes the time to open the Temmie Present, obtaining the "Master Statistician" title! Which is apparently a trinket. That provides a massive buff to DoT damage. Neat, but it'd probably be neater if fused with the Dream Soul. It also has a +1 to Crafting buff taped to it, making it easy to duct-tape to other trinkets. Meanwhile, Future!Alt does time stuff and teaches TOFS some card games. Unfortunately, TOFS has a hard time handling the cards, but it seems that it enjoyed the company (and the games), anyway. Alt then ponders TOFS's gender... it doesn't actually seem to be entirely clear.

Darkside's then swaps Summon for Regeneration, while his Clone goes fishing. He pulls 1 Obsidian Koi... a fish that doesn't exist in Terraria. How interesting. He also pulls the standard fare of 3 Obsidifish, and 3 Flarefin Koi. Maybe there's a use for all this fish; maybe they taste okay? The Operative then swallows a HP Orb, increasing his MHP by 1. It tastes really weird. He then crafts a nice pillow for Marron, using 5 Silkweed and 2 Fluffy Dog Barriers. This produces 5 units of weed, and 2 somethings of Dog Water as waste. The Operative then plants this fluffy pillow behind Marron's head. She hardly even stirs as her head is propped up to make room for the pillow. She does however, seem to smile slightly as her head rests against the soft fabric.

...The Portal within the Creature Testing Facility lets out a burst of energy. Eyes appear to be glaring through it. A few things rip out of it as well; figures. They might be worth investigating, but they almost certainly won't start battles. Just... be careful.
