Ghstpge is MINE.

Auth casually dissipates to avoid the Catsup. Afterwards, a blast of violet ink causes the people affected by Blinded to forget that there's ketchup in their eyes. The Ketchup disappears.

Good. That's done.

(I'mma add RP to this post, I got some to do.)

ACTION SUMMARY:

With ULTIMATE PRIORITY, Auth uses Irrigo to nuke Blindness.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

Roxxanne looks at Auth, then at the chocolates, and then back to Auth.

Roxxanne wordlessly accepts the chocolates and then just outright kisses Auth right on the lips without any warning, and then walks off merrily skipping shortly thereafter, only pausing to smack Healerbot in the face if he dares make another Roxxor joke.

Roxxanne goes ballistic at the Placebomodder in the battle, only less angry because of what just happened beforehand. "I can't kill you, but I am going to find your soul, shove it in an exploding penguin suit, and enslave it for all of eternity! Just for that!"

Roxxanne moves to I6, punches the Paladin dead, flings a Gravelball at the Mage to disrupt his Divine Shield, and then uses Heaven Breaker on the Warrior. Hopefully that's a double kill that sets up a triple kill.

The Temmie Hero uses its Tem Fists on the Zombie Elf, which is almost definitely an instant kill at those levels of damage and the fact that the particular blow is almost certainly melee. It then moves to I12 and Spinning Flakes the Gingerbread man to death. Liberated from the duties of murdering the mooks, the Scale Serpent moves to D11 and Guards, lacking anything productive to do. The Glitch Skeleton shall advance onto J9 and fire upon the Warrior.

The Operative reconstructs himself from the scrap left behind after his death by Marron. Then, he stands up, cracking his neck.

"Ngh. That felt... unpleasant. Certainly not as bad as when it happens outside a mindscape, though..."

He turns to Marron. For a moment, he seems almost irked... That fades away quickly enough, and of all the things he could do, he just smiles faintly at her. Odd, huh.

"Feeling any better now, Marron? I personally have always found myself feeling the best after a particularly cathartic moment... kind of assuming it's the same deal for you, too."

There's a pause. Operative glances off in the direction of the battle. Despite being on literally one health, he frowns a little and prepares himself.

"...One moment. I've found someone to obtain a cathartic moment from."

Then, he jumps.

________________________

Over at the battle, at the very moment the Placebomodder drops to 1 health (read: probably just after IGU uses mindcrush), they suddenly get an incredibly horrible feeling, akin to certain doom approaching. They glance left. Nothing there. They glance right. Nothing there. They glance straight ahead. The entire team is there, but that still doesn't look like the right place. Then, when the shadow from above blocks out the light, shrouding the Placebomodder in darkness, they finally look up.

And then something very loud and very pissed off crashes down right onto the Placebomodder's face in the most brutal initiation of a cast of Descendant yet seen in the mindscape.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Spoilered because holy fuck this is not for the faint of heart. Or for the people who claim that almost everything that's not a holy paragon of light and justice is "edgy".

Spoiler Alert
Defending is useless. There is really no appropriate defense to being slammed into from above by an enraged cyborg, especially when that cyborg is currently in the form of oh so many wires and metal plates that he resembles more along the lines of a metal eldritch abomination, and not an actual humanoid cyborg. Upon the Operative's landing, the Placebomodder finds themselves trapped inside a dark area, unable to see, unable to sense anything... Then, finally, they're able to sense something, at least, through the darkness. They find themselves intensely regretting having the ability to sense things at all. It hurts to perceive, being both impossibly ear-destroyingly loud and yet forcing the Placebomodder to strain hard just to hear it. A voice both angry and calm.

"I'm a little upset now. You will regret what you did. Since I have the freedom here to do whatever I wish to you, I shall take from you as recompense."

The Placebomodder briefly becomes able to see through the darkness of their surroundings, to smell the scent of death, hear the echoing void around them, feel the cold chill running up their spine, and perhaps worst of all there's this odd and mildly irritating sour metallic taste. Then, they use their sight to look down upon themself. Imagine the shock and horror they'd feel once they see their feet, reduced to bloody stumps with shards of bone sticking out. Why could they not sense what had happened? Come to think of it, what had happened? That seemed... unusual, perhaps, that they'd not have noticed earlier. Then, something in the void forces them to open their mouth. Their sense of pain comes back at the exact moment when their tongue is suddenly gripped tightly and yanked right out of their mouth, torn away in a shower of blood. They don't get the opportunity to scream, leaving them to feel what just happened in agonizing silence.

"Part one of five. The sense of taste. Without this, you will not be able to eat. You might survive, if you obtain the necessary nutrients, but there is no hope for you to ever be able to know what you're eating by the taste."

Wait... part ONE? Of FIVE? The Placebomodder makes a noise. A cry of self-pity. They know exactly what's going to come next, and already they preferred it back when they had the sour taste. At least that wasn't agony... Something smacks against their back. The tingling in their spine stops happening. They're confused for a good moment, until they feel something pierce through their skin, burrowing into their body and sparking constantly, sending jolts of pain throughout the flesh. Gradually, the wires wrap around their spine, gripping it tightly... and pulling back to yank it clean out of their body, dragging a good chunk of the nervous system of their body out in the process. It hurts too much to scream. It hurts... it hurts...

"Part two of five. The sense of touch. Without this, you will not be able to tell what's happening without looking. I want you to look down at yourself now, so you don't miss anything. Take a good look. People have been born without touch, and their inability often causes them to be undone by lack of awareness. Be aware."

Reluctantly, as if knowing they'd get a faster death if they fought back and refused, the Placebomodder looks down. They regret doing so. Their body has had even more of itself torn away, now leaving it so that they can't even see their knees anymore. Just broken, bloodied messes of flesh and bone. Being able to see the damage makes it hurt oh so much more than when they were blissfully unaware. They try to look up, but something holds their head in a death grip, forcing them to gaze downwards. Down at the wreckage of themself... That grip is way too tight, especially around the ears. Wait. That's not what the grip is for, is it? It's not to force perception... It's to make sure they stay still. So that their ears, with the ear canals still attached to them, can be ripped away too. At the same time, a huge chunk of their body goes missing, leaving them without anything below the waist. Anyone would have lost consciousness by now. So why can't they? And despite that, they can still "hear" what's being said.

"Part three of five. The sense of hearing. Without this, you will never know the sounds of the world. Deafness, while it is quite common, is still a regrettable fate to suffer from. After all, without music, without language, how can one perceive the ideas of others? Simple answer, they cannot."

At this point, the Placebomodder just wants death. It'd be preferable to... this. This godawful pain. What had they done to deserve this? Well... When a particularly angry person is given creative freedom to destroy you, it never tends to end well for you. And that is exactly what's happened here. They barely even react anymore as they feel exactly what they expected. Their nose has been ripped away. They can't smell anymore. It still hurts just as badly. They don't bother acknowledging the words that come next, preferring instead to just cling on and wait for death. There's a pause. So long... so painful...

"Once I finish off the parts, you will be gone. Thus, I must tell this to you now. Part five of five. The sense of sight. Blindness is the ultimate of sensory deprivation, for a species so heavily reliant on sight such as humans. To lack it leaves one unable to comprehend the world around them. The sight of another human's smile. The sight of a tree blowing in the wind. The sight of a wonderful display of fireworks. The sight of a magnificent display of artwork being hung up on the wall. There is only one small mercy to this fate. Without sight, one does not have to watch themself die."

Finally, the wires. Oh so many wires, moving in from every direction imaginable, all closing in on the silently terrified and agonized Placebomodder. What's left of their body is slowly caught in a deadly grip, the wires snaking up higher and higher, stripping away the flesh and exposing the bone underneath for apparently nobody but themself to see. They try to close their eyes. They cannot. What happened to their eyelids? Why is everything bleeding? Why, why, why? The final sight that the Placebomodder gets to see before the end arrives is that of an endless tangle of wires, arranged in the shape of what can only be described as a manifestation of unbridled wrath itself. Then, a final stab to the eyes, and all is lost to the endless void around them.

Back in the battlefield, The Operative just stands where the Placebomodder once was, now having resumed being in humanoid form. One might not want to ask where his target went. It's... clearly not something he's going to be talking about anytime soon. Just know that that is one really dead target.

I move to G10.

Rockford, Illinois, no, the whole state of Illinois, no the whole of the United States of America, no Earth, no the Milky Way, no our entire Universe is best known as the home of the sock monkey. This cultural phenomenon's origins lay all the way back in the Victorian Era, but it wasn't until the Great Depression that the trademarked sock money came to be. The traditional sock monkey has red lips, and is considered a good luck charm by many across the US and Canada. They are regularly given to hospital patients, employees, and even soldiers overseas. However, the sock monkey hides a dark secret, and must be destroyed.

To much of the multiverse, sock monkeys are a reminder of the horrors of the past. Several millennia ago, the sock monkey universe launched a full-scale expansion effort, and over centuries, they took over 87% of the multiverse. Their rule was harsh and oppressive. Non-sock-monkeys had few rights. Food was scarce, people vanished off the streets, and all were forced to wear socks, even if they didn't have feet, or worse, were wearing sandals. It took a millennium of rebellion and brutal war to defeat the Sock Empire, which razed entire universes rather than surrender them to non-sock life. Finally, the sock monkey empire was destroyed, but a few survivors hid away. In 1932, they reappeared on our very planet. They have kept to themselves for now, but the multiverse nervously watches, waiting for an excuse to prevent the return of the socked ones. It's too late to wait. Too late for second chances.

For the sake of Earth and the multiverse, Destroy Sock Monkeys.

<TURN TWO-HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN>
Cyan begins the turn by saying that Roxxor is confirmed. Roxxor however, being a very complex ship, involving at least three of the four quadrants, squick, and GM approval, can never truly be defined as confirmed. Shipping is complicated. However shipping works, Cyan enters the battle. Alt then says "Sup." to a treeborne Marron.

tc: Sup.

Marron lets her legs dangle down from a high branch. She takes the moment to take a breather, resting her head against another branch. Darkside, instead of being chill, sprints into battle along with the others, making use of that point he threw into AGI. Roxxanne then... kisses Auth? UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

cc: well (t)hen
cc: ni©e
cc: how wonderful. here's a wedding gif(t).

...A trinket falls in the inventory, called the Heart Bracelet. Attached to it is a highly JPEG'd troll face, printed on a sheet of simple white paper. Nobody (except maybe Cyan) is happy with this. The Operative then comes back from his rather violent death. He smiles at Marron, and talks with her. Her voice, drifting down from the tree, sounds suitably surprised.

tc: W-What? You're actually fine with your death?
tc: That's... creepy.
tc: But yes; slaying you certainly felt... nice. S-so, thanks for... that.
[small][small]tc: Masochistic, I see. Creepy. Euuugh.
tc: ...You also got a gift from sis, and you DIDN'T open it? Rude.
[/small][/small]

The Operative then leaves for the Final Rush, and then does brutal things. But that's for another part of the update! Soup also hands in an essay. It'll be marked during the Fightdop.

<BATTLE: FINAL RUSH, TURN TWO>
Three new bosses have arrived; Judgement, ?????????, and Gary the... Hot Bowl of Soup? Something's certainly wrong there. Anyway, Judgement will kill you with lasers and doesn't die, ????????? is a clone-abusing piece of egg salad, and Gary the Soup is a steaming bowl of RNG. And soup! Delicious! Also, Judgement is firing to the east.

"...Did he say anything actually important that wasn't just a concentrated way to break me? No? OK... Eh. He's gone to the Hollow anyways, and I'm lazy."

After Lyra, Insert and Mari act, Roxxanne charges to Judgement, moving to B10 and double-punching Judgement before, if applicable, using Heaven Breaker on him as a finisher. Roxxanne will (regardless of outcome) move to D12 while the Scale Serpent proceeds to move to D10 and, if Judgement is not dead at this time, Bite him before retreating to D11, while if he is dead, move to D13 and apply his Entropic Fang to the Gingerbread Man.

The Temmie Hero triplepunches Gary the Hot Soup, because that damage is too big to pass up and it's free of mana charge. Tem then moves to J9 and Flakespins, as per usual, nailing the Assassin, before backing off to J11.

Shooty is woken by a big "brork".

"heck"

Shoot starts playing Banjo-Kazooie on the N64. He almost starts a new game before he recieves a message from Toast, telling him to go do things.

He sighs, then goes and does things.

...Not before using some skill points. Shoot puts 12 Points into AGI, which should raise it by 4. He puts the remaining 2 into Hot Pockets.

Shooty joins and attacks Clone 2 with Flandre's Iris (unless Clone 1 is confirmed to be the real one, in which case attack that instead).

Oh, and all this stuff happens right after Operative's stuff happens.

I'd appreciate the turn order for this turn being as follows, unless otherwise stated:
People buffing
Lyra
Insert
Mari
Roxxanne
Operative
Shooty
Anyone else attacking ?x9/Clones
Me
Everyone else

So this is the way the turn is gonna go down. Insert, Lyra, Mari and Roxxanne collectively dunk the living daylights out of Judgement, while everyone below that is helping with ?x9.

This is roughly how I'd see this turn going:
Operative attacks Clone 1. Shooty joins and attacks Clone 2 with Flandre's Iris (unless Clone 1 is confirmed to be the real one, in which case attack that instead). Chlorin attacks Clone 3 with Red Dot Sight (unless Clone 1 or 2 are confirmed to be the real one, in which case move and attack the respective one). Anyone else who is attacking a clone should roughly have something similar to Chlorin's, but with different clones, perhaps.

Make sure to add conditionals as appropriate! (i.e. If 'x' happens, move to [tile] and do 'a'; If 'y' happens, move to [tile] do 'b' instead.) If we all do that, then we'll be set.

Once we get ????????? out of the way, we hopefully won't need strategy as confusing as this. If none of this made sense to you, just try and attack the Clone that has been attacked the least, or try and kill some of the Frost Mooks.

...
And yeah currently we're ignoring Gary.

~~

Following the order above, Insert moves to E6 and widebeams to the southwest. He then retreats to F6 using the retreat he should have as a result of 4 AGI. If someone could confirm this with him over discord so he doesn't need to take 50% MHP damage that'd be great.

Also following the order above, Mari moves to C3 and uses Wide Beam southwards.

Additionally following the order above, Toast does one of the following:
1. {If Clone1 is confirmed to be the real one} Toast moves to J11, double attacks Clone 1, using the Infinite Power Generator for the second attack, then retreats to J13.
2. {If Clone2 is confirmed to be the real one} Toast moves to F5, then double attacks Clone 2, using the Infinite Power Generator for the second attack.
3. {If Clone3 is confirmed to be the real one} Toast moves to F5, then double attacks Clone 3 using the Infinite Power Generator for the second attack.
4. {If Clone3 is confirmed to be the real one, and isn't dead after Toast's two attacks; there is no confirmed clone; or Judgement is still alive} Toast will do the previous action (for Clone3 confirmed), then use Shifting Sands on Mari, before retreating to D2.
5. {If somehow both Judgement and ?x9 are dead before it gets to me} Toast moves to G12 and chainsaw-ifys Gary the Hot Soup twice.

As well as the other people described in this post (in that she is following the order above), Ette moves to G10 and uses Needle Cavity on Gladius. Woo heals

~~

Alt lets her arm crystallise the bark around it, giving her something to latch onto as she shifts on her side.

The mindscape can be quite nice when it wants to be. Peaceful even. ...I don't think I ever got to see this place in my timeline.

She shifts once more, and places her head against the branch she's lying on. After a time, she closes her eyes.

In battle: Operative turns to Chloe and smiles once she's free of the mind control, then gives her a quick hug.

"Well, I'm glad you're alright now. Aside from that injury of yours. You should probably get that dealt to soon... Also, careful, Judgement is about to fire a beam at all of us. I suggest moving out the way."

He then runs down to K11, smacks ??? 1, and retreat to I11. Because to hell with being lolboomed by a clone.

Out of battle: The Operative somehow manages to pull off the dual-existence thing once again despite the very firm rule of there only ever being one Operative. In this case, it appears he... erm... got assistance from someone beyond dimensions or something. The out-of-battle Operative coughs while sitting near the tree Marron's in.

"Honestly, I've died many many times before I even entered this place. I've given up on being bothered by them, since they're not going to keep me down unless someone gets lucky enough to spawncamp me. Perk comes with the job and all that."

He pauses, then remembers the gift Ette handed him, and thus goes to take a look and see what it actually is. At the same time, he keeps chatting with Marron.

"Without respawn technology, I'd probably not be here right now. Probably wouldn't even have been heard of by anyone after I left Earth for good... at least, what was Earth, prior to someone de-orbiting the moon. Does make me think. Would the events of the world be all that different if I hadn't lived? Like... here in the mindscape, for example. Things would've been different. Better? Maybe. Worse? Also maybe. Can't really see those possibilities... and, sides. I don't wanna dwell on a world where I don't exist. Tends to be bad for the sanity, which already feels fragile enough in the first place."
