If said crack would lead to an entirely new area or a pile of treasure, I take another axe from the starter inventory, lodge it in the crack, turn it to get a better grip, and yank it out with extreme force. Then I go to the treasure and open it, or go to explore the new area.
If I misread what the crack was for some reason (and it was the breach instead; there's nothing in Numbers' turn that indicates any crack in a wall or something), I figure this was a waste of time.

Either way, I decide to take out a large chunk of the ceiling (which is under my feet at the moment) with Heaven's Gate, gaining some metal and wire bits (and maybe some incendiary bits and some extras idunno).
Then I simply re-augment to refill my guaranteed crits.

Teag compliments Gladius's look again. She's still blushing from these compliments, but just not as much. She's used to it already, it seems. She understands what you want her to do, though. Roxxanne then swaps Dogsong for Blink. Toast then leaves her battle before spitting out the STR Orb. She then swaps for Zillycharm, and head over to the Dollhouse, Ette in tow. Marron is simultaneously furious and teary-eyed, yelling back as you talk to her.

tc: Of course not, you gorilla! You gorillas murdered my sist-

Ette enters the house. Marron's rage seems to instantly quell as she leaves the bed to embrace her sister.

tc: Ohmygod Ette, I was so worried that they killed you!
tc: Please don't suddenly leave me like that, ever agai-

Marron stops the hug as she realizes you're still in the room. She grabs her scythe.

tc: ...you saw nothing.
tc: Get out of my house.

Ette gently lifts you up, and places you outside of the house, patting you on the head before closing the door. From what you can hear from outside, the two sisters seem to be having a somewhat heated conversation. While it is a bit muffled, you can make it out; Marron's part, anyway.

tc: So, where've you been?
tc: What? You actually joined up with... THEM?
tc: Oh suuuuure, "they aren't so bad." Yep. Not so bad.
tc: Hahahaha.
tc: Ette, they almost killed me. "Not so bad" my gorilla.
tc: No, I won't. Why would they even WANT to take me with them?
tc: When we fought, I didn't even lay a FINGER on them.

The two (or rather, just Marron) go silent for a bit. There's a bit of muffled sobbing, which soon cuts off.

Ette leaves the building, then shakes you around as if to say "we absolutely must get my sister to come with me." You're almost certain that's what that shake meant. Totally. She'd write you a message to convey something, but she's all out of writing stuff. Darkside then consumes 2 orbs at once; STR and AGI, before entering the Breach.

...you end up inside <001>, where the scale used to be. However, by widening the crack, you managed to gather 25 Wire Bits and 3 Titanium Ingot via debris. You then reload your augment. Soup then heads up through the breach, ending up on the top of <001>. Siria swaps for Enchant: Elementless. Mabuz then investigates the Secretary in the zone with the Ender Mirror. It's reading a book called "The Art of gorillaery: How to Screw With Others in the Best Way Possible." How fitting. It seems it's waiting for others, though. The Operative then talks with Gladius, once again.

ga: Hey, I wouldn't be surprised if the satellite did more than kill you for a while; I'd imagine it'd obliterate a skill point as well.
ga: But hey; thanks for being understanding.
ga: There's not really much else to say, though. I'll be sure to come to you, though~

Meanwhile, Jon, Siria, and Nomble gaze into the Ender Mirror. As they gaze in, their reflections disort; their faces turn into wide, grinning smiles. The mirror shakes as your reflections fade to black, and force themselves out of the mirror, twisting and distorting as they pop out-

Each of them produce weapons out of their forms, and ready themselves to strike! The mirror also attempts to strike a pose with them, but fails due to lack of limbs.

The Operative runs to G5, then attacks either the Secretary or the Fading Skeleton, depending on which one is more likely to be killed by an attack. In the event of a tie, he prioritizes the Secretary. He then turns to Gladius again, apparently ignoring the fact that he's in the middle of a battle right now in favor of... small talk, of all things.

"...If you're feeling guilty over that incident... don't. It really wasn't that much of a bother, to be honest. Just a slight inconvenience at most, and you mostly repaid it by making sure I didn't just die there and then via... unique coffee usage. And I'm not the kind of guy to hold grudges, regardless, so it's nothing too much to worry about on your half... Although, if there's anything else you want to talk about, I'd be alright with conversing about it."

Current draft for glitch murder:
Nomble switches to song of Rage, tosses an Electric Pulse Grenade at H8, moves to H7, and smacks Pricey before retreating to F7.
Jondanger moves to G5, triggering Roxxanne's autododge, then shoots Pricey before retreating to E5 and throwing another Electric Pulse Grenade at H6 unless Pricey is dead by then.
Crystal moves to G6 (or anywhere within range 2 of Nomble and range 5 of Insert and Roxxanne) and uses Overclock to shoot both Insert and Roxxanne.

@Jondanger23 @Nomble @Crystalcat/Siria: PLEASE do exactly as Insert is instructing you to. If you deviate you may miss lethal on all 3 in one turn which WILL kill one of you, guarenteed. The exact sequence of moves is designed to kill all 3 Glitch players in 1 turn, thereby one-turn ending this encounter and preventing any harm. Failure to do EXACTLY AS STATED may leave a player alive (and probably will). If you be belligerent, you die, Roxxanne will eat you alive upon respawn, and after that, you'll be banned from using Gold or the Omnidisciplinary Crafting Station AT ALL, which will mean you can no longer upgrade your gear in effect, and this will be for the rest of the game. I don't like being a jerk, but PLEASE LISTEN.

Now, Teag FINALLY salvages the gateway and asks Gladius if she can fix up the gateway at The Base.
He also loots the metal from the Massive Gates, as he also attempted to do previously.

If the gateway is fixed, Teag investigates the Automatic Railgun Defenses ***WITHOUT GETTING WITHIN RANGE OF THEM!!!*** I still want to loot those.

As for the Secretary, I have a feeling we'll see it up north.

I just realized. Before every Dark Souls boss, there's usually a bonfire, and a fog gate you have to pass through. The Bonfire SOUL is the one of Flames, and the boss(es) guarding it are Glitch versions of Dark Souls bosses.
