Now that you are melee, I suggest getting Counter, Tazz.

EDIT: Yeah, that seems reasonable. We gain a ton of burst if you cast Melody on someone like me or Siria. Once I get some elemental modifiers rolling, We'll be able to murder basically anything with a weakness.

@Everyone: We need more boarders to get this done as fast as is reasonable! The Shard Golems are a problem but we do not need this many people aboard. I'd say 6-7 people, not counting Gladius, should stay on the ship, to handle weapons and Shard Golems. Super Greed (and soon the TOFS) is at the Core/Railguns, Sira's on the Zillywell with the Nanite Launchers and Oriko and Mistri will handle Turret work (and the Glitch Beams won't become TOO important until the Cores/DT Extractor is down), so...Yeah.

As both turrets have been Doublefired, I move to D12, TP to the Nightmare at L20, move up to J17 and stab the Crystal Cannon there.

@Generic: Go for the killblow on the left Crystal Cannon, every bit of DPS off of our backs helps tremendously.

Super Greed will standby, unless Gladius is too freaked out to pilot, in which case it'll move the Ship up to F9 in the skies via the Core.

@Gladius: Summon a Glitch critter to help around the ship! If you can, Pilot to F9-as the Shard Busters only fire from cardinal directions, we're safe on that space. "I've made ships that literally eat planets like it's nothin'! I'm Sky Captain Roxxanne, Sky Captian of the Sky, and the only thing up for question about this big thingy is whether or not it's gonna drop it's blueprint for us to do the whole 'hoist by thy own thingamabober' thingy. We're the Descendants, nothin's impossible for us! Or you. :3"

@TOFS: Move up to I3 (or at least close to a Railgun) and just standby for now. We can do this so we can fire out both railguns at the same time when we need to.

@Toast: That I have considered, but I got Melody instead. Counter would suit me but we do need someone with Silence (and I'm the ONLY one), Descendant is a LOT of damage in burst at range that we could use, and Melody's 1 Range problem is absolutely neutralized by my 7 Move and 4 Retreat, so I can be pretty reckless with it and allow people deep in the enemy lines to do even more damage. Counter is a consideration when Silence is a bit more common. Plus, status condition granting is an SP gain option for me, and Silence is a useful status condition.

I have a funny feeling we might see our Temmie Friends soon.

No updates for awhile; the missing of a flight (because of trump. no, really) has thrown the vacation schedule into jeopardy, and there won't be time to actually update.

As regrettable as this sounds, I feel like replacing Summon for something else. Perhaps TemsFour would be beneficial... I mean, we have dedicated supports now, and me dropping my HP down 1.5 for 1 extra MP isn't a big deal.

And then, I'll learn Melody.
TemsFour + Melody. That's a fucking dangerous combo. (Or perhaps I'm reading the thing wrong I dunno)

Took some convincing to get me outta this one.

Instead, I go for Earthbomb. Since I'm likely to go solo, the 33% boost to melee damage and 0% chance of dodging melee should be frightening.
Fuck it, I'm keeping Augment.

Oh hey, the corner.
Chaos Log 11, please.
Also the Butterfly has at least 8 problems.
And chaos has his own set of wings.
Nice Pikachu, btw.

@DarkSide: I'm not entirely sure if what you're thinking of for Melody will work out that well. IF you plan on using Trueform you'll need to reapply it each attack (which could instantly kill you as the range is 25-50% of your HP with no sign of being able to control that) so you could die in the process surprisingly easy if you don't watch yourself; if the clones go you've wasted your MP; you lose the extra damage from Augmenting; and so on. TemsFour, I think, requires either a dedicated summoner build or a very specialized one (IE Piono). I say go ahead and replace spells if you wish but I don't think TemsFour is it for you. Or Melody, for that matter.

@Tazz:
Melody: "Range 2. Grants target who's already moved / attacked another action." (+1 Range for my INT) An action consists of moving, attacking, items, and retreating, if applicable.
So here's what I'm trying to get at:
I attack a target, making me primed for a Melody. A TemsFour clone then Melodys me, I attack again, another TemsFour clone Melodys me, you get the picture.
It's not dangerous in a sense that they can perform an infinite loop, but rather not attacking at all and letting the original do the attacking. Of course, this would apply to other players too. It's really versatile that way.
Creative, eh?
After all, this spell IS based off Fire Emblem, and you CAN attack after a "Melody" happens in those games.

Perhaps Aaron can learn a bit from this tidbit of info.

Do you see it now? (I REALLY don't want to have to explain this further(not that I really could've anyway))

Of course, I've got TONS of backup plans. Heal, Earthbomb, and Sentry, to name the most prominent. Always great to have a backup plan in case others go south.

@DarkSide: The downsides presented above still stand (I did edit): No Trueform, if the clones go you're useless, and no damage boosting outside of Augment. Also, while it seems awesome initially, some head calculations. Getting that off correctly is 55 damage at the absolute minimum, in 5-11 damage segments. If you Trueform, that goes up...A lot, but that's also lost HP and you cannot do more than one as if you hit 50% of your HP twice you instead die midway through before Regen kicks in (meaning you CAN'T heal it off), wasting the strat and your clones. Given your HP, Trueform can give roughly 12-23 damage on HP take assuming it rounds up. That's impressive damage to a single Target...For all of your MP. Melody requires coordination and precious few of us have it; that's a lot of additional management if you're not using it on yourself, and you said it yourself, you go off on your own. A lot. Also, you can't stray too far from the clones with your Melody; you can't move farther than they can in ONE move, and they spawn immediately around you, so the best use by far is a single-target obliteration. I'm not entirely sure how crits work for attacks that hit multiple times in one move, but you're off on your own all the time, as you said, so it's unlikely you'll get any additional attack boosts aside from random chance. All that for what is, at absolute minimum, even with one Trueform, 67 damage-any further attempts at Trueform will be too risky to be worth it as you will also lose the clones, and you can't predict nor control the outcome of how much HP Trueform saps from the look of the description, and can't move TOO far from where you started if you want to actually deal the full combo damage.

Alternatively: Augmented Trueform, which you can survive two uses of consecutively, with each hit doing 35 damage at least.. You can't do it on the same turn but there will be no guessing games on if you can Trueform multiple times, you'll KNOW if it's too risky, and you keep the Augment either way. And you keep half of your Mana for other uses.

Overall, it's doubling Mana cost for a much more headache-inducing way of doubling damage. There is added utility but there is also added complications in exploiting it-if you Melody someone who's unawares that's a waste of a spell, and you're off on your own a lot, as you just said. I'm not entirely sure that's a worthwhile trade-off. In other words, for what I suspect will be a hard reality in practice, I suggest you don't.

alternatively Ire will ban clones from using Turn-granting moves altogether

If you had the damage from until the end of the turn, then that might be the most OP thing in existence. But since it doesn't, I have to agree with Tazz.

However, this combo could scale ridiculously well with the Jadesaw, though. The upgraded version is twice as expensive to Rev Up than before, but I have about 19 damage on average . With that combo, I could easily do 76 damage in a turn, ignoring elemental resistances. If you factor in Lightning, I could theoretically go through and murder an entire room of mooks with the additional attacks.

chainsaw-rampage.gif

(although it's probably worth noting that this is an incredibly expensive combo.)

Everyone else is comparing absurdly OP possibilities

And I'm just sitting here

Wondering what it'd be like if The Operative had Temsfour and all the clones could activate UNLIMITED mode as well as him

Well done, you convinced me. Again.
Welp.

Decided to keep Augment, too. TemsFour Augments could be helpful.

Something's probably happening to Melody + TemsFour. Or maybe just a change to Melody. WHO KNOWS.
Perhaps Melody also grants a set of buffs to whoever you sing to, such as +1 AC (which scales), but it costs 9 MP? Discuss maybe! This hasn't been applied... YET.

=TURN ONE-HUNDRED AND FOURTY=
Teag decides it'd be a good idea to make... boring old robes? Given the sheer uselessness of the item, the crafting succeeds. Yay? He also makes some boring old bottles. Aaron then switches to Dogsong; maybe Barkgenesis isn't a good idea for you, though? Aaron also tries to damage Chaos with Saurite-Ingot induced feedback, but due to not having one of said ingots, it fails. Modpack is then PROPERLY added to the game! Yay! Toast then burns through 3.14 tons of stuff, creating the Aetherian Jadesaw! Due to spending health (or arms), you also take (8) damage.

...looks like the only reason you were able to upgrade that much further was because of the Mythril Ingot. Perhaps that's why they're good? SOUL then attempts to do something, but doesn't exist; looks like you'll need people to actually die to explore Zone 6 at the moment.

Darkside then engages STRIFE with the encryption on the Power Generator!
...
He succeeds!

DESTROY THE ENCRYPTION v0.1
YOU HAVE ENGAGED IN COMBAT WITH I, THE ENCRYPTMODDER. IT'S NOT LIKE YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY REGULAR DTG, SO YOU'RE SCREWED. RIGHT? HAHAHAHA.

The Battlefield:

[AE] Darkside: HP: 45 / 45, 1 AC. (8 HP Regen) (50% Status Resist) (Lifelinked)

[PE] Anti-Anti-Virus Software: 1,000 / 1,000 (x10). Deals low damage.
[EN] Encryptmodder. HP: 2 / 3. Full Shutdown: [000000]

As it appears, you're playing standard DTG against the Encryptmodder. Defeating it will cleanse the Power Generator! Others can join you in your fight! The Charge Cap is... 5.

Roxxanne then boasts about building a ship.

cc: pi©s or i(t) didn'(t) happen

Chaos Log 11 is then re-discovered, and there's a nice pikachu in the endless desert yay geez i should get pokemon go even though i hear there's problems with the game wait do i even have a phone-

=BATTLE: THE NIGHTMARE, TURN TWO=
Okay, Mabuz was eaten alive, giving Zetta another stat bonus and move. Be wary of his Mortem Falce; it's a "Coup de grace" type move, meaning it'll kill you if you have low HP. Possibly before "low hp", even. Also be wary of "mecha flowey" in the northern area; it packs a real punch if you don't coordinate your positioning or attacks! Luckily for you, killing the parts is totally optional!
