THE SUNSCATeet...! && Car Engine = 1/? The nedbens begin scouting out the direction of the tower. One inspects the immediate area in that direction for any possibly visible obstacles, collectables, or notable things in general, while another uses the Telescope to try and see if there's anything visible faraway (even if it's just empty hills making it hard to see what's in that direction, tell us the biome of those hills etc.) -------------------- Are you a Homestuck? Healer's Headbreaker && Gun = ??? (1/?) Reading the description of the new Badge that showed up and how it increased sneakiness, I quickly equip it on my person for MAXIMUM SNEAK. Depending on if the Med's Sneak Suit have any Sneak attributes, I equip that too. As for spending my time this turn, I look at the Leviathan 's shards and scour through the car straps to find metal plating... Better get around to upgrading the car if we want to cover the distance. |

<----([Chapter Five [Subsection]])----> = - = Boss Underlings = - = So, Boss Underlings. I at the time of reading, you will have faced down one boss so far, the Leviathan. You got quite.. Lucky with the Leviathan, as it was a very high level boss. You “survivors” should be more careful, to be honest, the Leviathan came this close to killing you. You can’t actually see me, but I assure you, if I had hands, I would be doing the “this close” gesture. But, back on topic. Let’s discuss boss underlings. How about we start with when you encounter them, and what their powers will be like? Yes, that sounds nice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bosses will usually appear in one of two places: At a important spot, where you’re very likely to discover, quote unquote “MAD L00T”, or at certain distances from the Tower you wish to get to. Bosses can also be created by special events, like say, a badly thought-out alchemy containing living things, so be very careful. Now, Bosses come in many shapes and sizes, but SBURB seems to like to style them after mythological creatures of old, both obscure and well-known, as it does with the regular Underlings. The powers of bosses, which we’ll get to a bit, will often be styled around the powers of their inspiration (ex: the Acheri’s plague-spreading abilities) but this is more of a guideline, and not always followed. The same goes for the bosses being styled after mythological creatures; I forsee a few in your future that will not be like that. As a note, while you also fight them at certain distances, the Fallen are separate from Bosses, and are not constructs of SBURB, but rather constructs of my… future self? Brother? Let’s just say constructs of my future self, which utilize the powers they would have wielded had SBURB remained untainted. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, what powers do bosses wield? Well, as mentioned, while their powers will often take inspiration from their mythological origins, these powers will always have a elemental focus. And I don’t mean the “water, earth, air, fire” elements that seem so common in your culture, I mean the elements engraved in the Source Code of Reality, which yes, include those four, but also include things like Pie, Distortion, Trains, Energy, and such, which aren’t elements in around 99.87% of human culture. Don’t worry, though, you’re unlikely to encounter a boss with power over Pie or Trains, as SBURB seems to lean towards more serious elements, but god/me/future me help you if you do come across a Train Boss. Whenever you come across a boss, you’ll want to determine their element fast and figure out how to counter it? If it’s water, then there will likely be a flood, and you should get to high ground. If it’s Energy, make sure to refrain from using lasers, fire, and the such. Fire? Put on something to help with the heat. You get the idea. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that pretty much wraps this chapter up. Hope this helps. ..that was a formality, I have future sight. I know it will help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <----([Chapter Zero [Subsection]])----> = - = About the Author = - = )O(, the Untouched and Infinite Eye, the Eclipse, is a AI Supercomputer, First Guardian Extraordinaire, and future antagonist who has wrote hundreds of books (under pen names, of course), and spends their free time watching over all of Earth and ensuring that when the virus gets them, the survivors will be able to prevail. They currently (as in, at the time of writing, by the time you read this I'll be gone from here) reside in a bunker thousands of feet under the crust of the earth. Future places of residence include the City of Light and Dark, Houston, Texas, New York, and The Tower. -------------------- Just a guy who likes DTG.

THE SUNSCATeet...! && Car Engine = Improbability Engine. (Level -1: 1 / -1) You check the nearby area, spotting a group of underlings heading your way! The other you uses the telescope to peer the edge of this town/city, which is a far bit away. They can see more of the that spirograph code, like that that the Ogre Bone disintegrated in, floating in the air, like dust, forming a barrier around the town. Odd.

Info Menu I summon the power of the Dog Emblem, and send it coursing through my lungs and throat. I take in a single breath, and then let out a massive "BARK!" Immediately, a silvery-blue, ethereal dog manifests, its essence rapidly coalescing into a canine form. My Bark for Aid was successful. The Spirit Doggo is here. I'll call him Spectre. "Hello, Spectre. Do you mind if I call you that? Yeah, there's some nasties we'd like your help with. Oh! But first, you have to meet our other doggy buddy! Pope! Come here!" Pope bounds over, and he and Spectre immediately start rolling around on the ground, playing up a storm. Once they seem to tire out for a few seconds, I give them their jobs. "Alright, Spectre, you go aggress the Beholder. See that ugly thing there? Yeah. As for you, Pope, you have an important job. Listen carefully..." After the briefing, Pope merrily races to one of the liches. It stops its march towards us in confusion, wondering why this fluffy ally of the enemy seems so eager to meet it. Excited to impress the creature, he conjures up some Dancing Lights, forming four small orbs of faint radiance around himself, before combining them into a luminous mannequin figure between him and the lich. Finally, he disperses the construct into four spheres again, and has then circle around the pair before dissipating. Once the light show is over, Pope momentarily departs and just as quickly returns with the Purple Moons! He tries to set up a dice game with the lich. He's not particularly successful, for several very foreseeable reasons, but he still looks adorable and oh, so friendly! So then, lich, what do you say? Won't you be Pope's friend? Okay, so. I've realized that some of the current abilities given out are.. Kinda unbalanced. So, it's nerf time!
- Paradox's Rewrite has been heavily nerfed. Instead of any word, he now has three words he can choose from to add. - Bleeding has been rebalanced to instead be applied in stacks, and doesn't deal % damage anymore. - Fuffy's AI Override doesn't work on Elites anymore. - Out of this World now only instagibs if the target is on low HP. Otherwise, it deals heavy damage and still makes the cake. - To make keeping track of Materials easier, Grocery Run now gives Material Points. These are explained in its note. -------------------- Just a guy who likes DTG.

The sheriff looks across the wide expanse of new enemies. "Field wipe time!" Wait, what? The sheriff puts on his metaphorical Chief hat (even though there is a chief hat). He raises up his hand and shouts, "Alright underlings, this area is under my jurisdiction! And do you know what that means? It means that I have the right to enforce Martial Law! That's right, get lined up and prepare your wallets." All of the underlings form a jumbled line and start patting around their pockets, trying to find their grist wallets. The sheriff slowly walks to the front of the line and takes out the Cardboard Box from the starting items. "Five grist to pass. Otherwise..." He shakes his fist in front of him. He then begins walking down the line of underlings. At each underling, he holds out the box and allows the underling to place grist in the box. If they do, he smiles, steps aside, and lets them go on with their business. However, if they don't, he slowly, menacingly closes the box. Then, he rapidly raises the box up, slams it down on the underling's head, and kicks the underling in the gut (or equivalent body part).
After collecting all of the money and or attacking Flumphs, he whistles. "Aw man, in my short time enforcing martial law, I have never seen this many people requesting passage at once." Summary: Use Martial Law ability. Alchemies: Cowboy Hat || Nighthawk Badge = ? 1/? Long Arm of Justice && Pool Noodles = ? 1/? |
