If the 8-ball based mask alchemy has completed, I check if the result looks sufficiently dark enough to fit the hue of the many creatures that have been attacking us, and if so, I equip it. If not, I find some relatively dark soot, and hope my chosen distance will keep the lie safe. I then walk slowly out into the road, behind the creatures who have been marching towards us. I pull out the Darkened, and proceed to act very regal, and slam it into the ground, making a clang loud enough to get their attention. Then, in a gruff voice, trying to mimic what a king of such creatures might sound like I say "You all, why are you checking this sector? We have already sent parties to check here! You all go over that way," I point in a direction with lots of poor terrain and few buildings in stable enough condition to find anything useful, far away from the alcemiter, "and hunt there. I will be beyond that section over there." Yet again, I point in the direction of most resistance away from us, and likely survival shelters, "and if some of you want to continue that way it will be considered treason. I suggest, if some of you wish to commit treason, that the others 'persuade' you to see reason."
I then duck back between the buildings, before taking a zig-zagging route back to base, being careful to avoid line of sight from them utilizing gratuitous no-clip.

You attempt to trick the imps, but they just growl and poke at you. They never have taken orders except from higher level underlings and [garbled mess of text]. They quickly realize you’re a human, but thanks to the time stop, move too slowly to pursue, letting you make it back.

It seems you’ve exhausted the sick loot supply of the clinic. You do find a couple of random corpses, which I won't bother to add to the inventory because they're everywhere.
