Research Nanomachines are spent on health boost omega.
A full T5 set is purchased for Gibbet (16 samples, 1200 credits), and so is Purest Blessing from the lab (100 samples) Transistor upgrade is purchased from Nia (500 credits) Mari + Omo assignments: MMP boost omega, and Xeno's Hunger Cypress is set to Slampod Sleuth assignment: Exoknight Nia assignments: Bouquet Dimensions and Sock Puppet Galactic Court have upgrades commissioned by Not!Echoss. Broadcast work: Eren nods. "Setting up shouldn't be hard. Between what we already have and Echoss's... portal thing, whatever he's using, it shouldn't take too long to get what we need rigged up." Echoss nods to Aoki. "Would you mind helping me carry this back home so I can flip through the user manual as we walk? It sounds like we will be recording back at base, so we should set it up there." Either way, the surprisingly light box and the two probably make their way back home to base. Either Echoss flips through a small booklet on their way back there, or does so once they return. In the first living room (the one with the empty spot in front of couchtron), Echoss helps with the setup, it turns out that once you know what everything is for and what plugs go into what sockets, the setup is pretty simple! It helps having someone who can read the language the manual is in. Regardless, with the various wires and wireless connectors plugged in, the soundstage set up, and the clip-on and positional mics ready, Echoss looks over at Aoki. "...I have no experience with doing this myself. I understand generally how to do what, but remain uncertain with what it is that needs to be done in first place. What do you require, Miss Aoki?" Everground: No longer needed, Not!Echoss accidentally pings El Iti's DRM and blips out of existence. Battle: As the team moves to the airship Eren looks around at the remaining soldiers. "You're all colossal idiots. Spark literally puts his face on the cockpit of the Dream of Unity and none of you find that worrying or even suspicious? Enjoy trying to convince the Lab's security personnel to leave you alone whenever they show up. Morons." BATTLE ACTION Eren waits until after Nidra starts their turn, then when Nidra pauses, he swooces over to N17 and casts shared perspective Eagle Eye on himself and Nidra. Now would be a good time for some crafting. To-do List: Also hand the Subspace Grocery Box to Cypress when he heads back to the house Anti-Spark measures (anti-magic in progress, have anti-artillery to deal with airstrikes and conventional artillery support, signal blocking to prevent Praetorian or Sentinel summoning, lots of EMP options, be ready for BOSS) Anti-Propaganda: use the Infinite Shadow for the stealth gear. Craft Serpent up some higher tier fragapple-derived attack consumables to use for pinging assists (higher range and wider splash desired over damage up) Make sure party prep is ready. (save for near the end of the day) Properly seal up Linseed's room so he can't try to dig out. (save for near the end of the day) -------------------- Once upon a time there was a story...

Venia freaks as the trap is sprung. " CHLOE! XAVIER!" Venia looks at Chloe as she returns with the God Hand. "Chloe!... You're alright, thank god-" And then the Dream of Unity goes super saiyan. She expected everything to be a trap-she even expected it to be lethal, but recoverable, so Xavier's failure to return doesn't hit her as hard. She expected Spark to have the Creation Glyph-but she had thought that Spark couldn't just spam it like that. Everything is blowing up around her. Before any hidden nerves can grasp her at the exact severity of the situation, she screams the least pertinent thing she can think of-but the most vindicative. "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT WAS A TRAP! I CALLED IT! I CAAAAAAALED IIIIIIT! IT WAS ALL A GIANT TRAP AND YOU ALREADY HAD THE GLYPH! YOU CAN'T PLAY THE SARCASM CARD WHEN I'M RIGHT!" Venia roars at the gigantic airship, doing everything she can to not shit a brick, to not freak out at Xavier's potential death, to keep everyone focused on exactly what they have to do. "AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE?! YOU CAN TOSS WHATEVER YOU LIKE AT US! WE'RE GOING TO SEND ALL OF IT SCREAMING TO HELL WITH YOU!" Venia turns to everyone else. "EVERYONE ONBOARD THE AIRSHIP NOW! WE'RE GOING TO MAKE SPARK EAT HIS OWN SHIT!!" "NIA!" Venia pauses, looking at her really terrible state. "... Sorry, snowflake, but you're not combat fit right now! Get in the Airship, go back to the house, call for Taeda and Gibbet to get here!" "CHLOE! ... We will get Xavier back, I promise you! But first, we have to beat Spark's ugly ass and get that glyph! Let's do this! " "OMO! AKOI! NANA! UH, YOU TWO!" Venia shouts. "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, ROSIE'S COMING TO WHERE YOU ARE!" In case it isn't obvious, nobody should be in Range 1 of K16 before this round ends. The instant the Ninja in front of her is moved out of her way (but only when the Ninja is out of the way, Rosie will sprint to J15-L17. Her Biomodifier will try to heal whoever needs it the most, while her remaining Gatling turret will attack whatever's most likely to feel it. Vic Viper can't self-heal, so it'll try to medidate. Wow. Venia... Suddenly comes up with a bolt of inspiration, and pulls out the Twitchy Glyph. "If anything can help him now, this is all we have left that'll reach him." Being right next to the vault, Venia shouts down the spiral staircase. With a megaphone. "XAVIER! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME-SPARK'S DOING SOME INDEPENDENCE DAY GARBAGE UP HERE, YOU GOTTA GET OUT OF THERE NOW ONE WAY OR ANOTHER! I'M GOING TO TRY TO WEAKEN THOSE THINGS, ITS ALL I CAN DO!" Venia activates the Twitchy Glyph, shoving the symbol roughly into the direction of the Vault and hoping its particular brand of withering energies will reach Xavier underneath. Will this come to anything? Only time will tell... But a good deal of the party have no objections and Ire says this is possible, so one can hope. Being that it's an item action, Venia will thereafter standby and use her weapon skill to regain Ordo, an event so rare that I'm kinda baffled. The Everground "The Tamagauchi was giving us a headache with the giant lilypads, playing keepaway. I guess making this at all was kind of an overkill reaction. But... We found that, so I guess it came in handy." "Thank you so much, Vulcan! I feel like this is what we've been missing in our studies of the Entropic-with this, I think we can find something to actually kill the Butterfly. For real. More than just the typical Purging we can do-something that even it can't shrug off." Venia, without further ado, reads the Old Rosen Oath. ... After that, she'll guide Vulcan back out of the Everground to the House. The Central Labs Meanwhile, after a long snogging session, and probably an even longer amount of time feeling crippling depression, Venia has somehow deiced to be productive and go to Zone 5.5, to AI Design. She seeks out the Bubby-looking Chairian, the one who came from a Tube. "Oh, hey there. Uh, I'm Venia, uh, Venia Praefortis. I know where the rest of the, ah, the science team is, if you'll just follow me." Assuming he accepts, Venia will move to the Southern Labs to the counter where the other two are, finally reuniting the science team. Rejoice. The day is saved. Mariaaaaaaaaaaa I lack the transcendent knowledge of the rules Maria has to really comment on the play here, but I have just enough transcendent knowledge of the mind of a seven-year old to know exactly what she feels right now. "I'm ridin' the snakes to victoryyyyyyyy!" |

Adria nods at Cypress's observation. ADRIA: Well at least I know where I'm ai- She then notices that Chloe and Xavier jumped down into the vault, and freaks out. ADRIA: CHLOE WAIT DON'T- Too late. ADRIA: -go in there. ADRIA: O-oh god I wasn't fast enough and now they're gonna get themselves killed... ADRIA: N-NOT ON MY WATCH! She tries to peel off more of the vault door with the Exosuit to little avail. At least, until Chloe surfaces again. She stops freaking out as much. ADRIA: CHLOE! ADRIA: Girl you damn near gave me a heart attack! ADRIA: ...But, wait, where's- She doesn't even get time to ask when the ship literally glows and takes off. ADRIA: I KNEW IT! ADRIA: I SHOULD HAVE SHOT WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE! ADRIA: EVERYONE ON THE SHIP! ADRIA: NOW! ACTUAL ACTION Adria does the simple maneuver of staying put. She downs a Holy Nectar. She shakes her Moonshocker Drive, charging it. Her cat, Bristle, moves to (O23) and attempts to snipe Splintershot 4 with Energy Channel. Well, it's not much of a channel, it's more like launching a thin quill at them. (note +30% DMG) ADRIA: Chloe... ADRIA: I know I shouted at you just now, but I'm just... worried. ADRIA: Don't give up hope! We'll get your brother back, I'm sure of it! ADRIA: No, I'll make sure of it! ADRIA: Now, take this boost and get on! "Well, uh... by the power invested in me as uh, some kind of super goddess, I will command you to..." She thinks for a moment, adjusting her sunglasses to try and filter out the glare. "Learn a lesson in humility! You must learn respect by studying under the great and powerful God of Butterflies, Echoss!" She raises her hands as if demonstrating how powerful this God of Butterflies is. "My omniscience is uh... not suitable for such mundane matters, so you might have to find him yourself. Consider it a test of your abilities, or something." She waves her hand dismissively, and waits for Dawn to leave (possibly with "The Scion" in tow, otherwise she includes her in the following conversation). "Y'know, being a goddess is kinda fun! Hopefully everyone else plays along with it. Come to think of it, maybe I should have warned Echoss that I'm sending a cognitohazard his way," she ponders aloud. "Oh well. It'll be fine, probably." |

Battle - Base of Unity
Things happen. A trap is set in motion. The fusion visibly tenses up once Chloe is returned to the surface, immediately wondering what went down in that vault, then glancing at the Dream of Unity. "Well... Looks like this fight is gonna be going on a bit longer, huh." The fusion's eyes flicker, flashing through the various colours of the rainbow before settling back on their pre-established appearance from earlier. He could almost swear some part of this looks familiar from somewhere... No time to dwell on that thought. Currently, there's a big ship with a big cannon aimed right at everyone on the battlefield. The fusion glances around for a while, just hoping people are ready. Then, he concentrates... "So be it! Let's see what you got in store up there, Spark!" Calfusion uses the Incandescent Key's weapon active, calling forth the power of Ordo to surround the fusion's body. Then, they prepare to hop on board the ship. The Old Pass "Bigger than a Behemoth, ya say..." EN looks contemplatively at Shelly. She's probably thinking "what the fuck is a fell behemoth". Or maybe her thoughts are more oriented towards the kind of firepower she'll need to bring one down - given the thymefield's influences, it's gonna be hard for her to use her usual affair of weaponry. But then she remembers she should... y'know... answer. So she strikes a confident pose and flashes a grin. "Well, soun's like a good time t' me, so ah'm in!" The Everground S.E.D does a victory dance which consists of spinning around at high speed. The... um... where is this happening? "..." Verdana takes out a fireblock and eats it. What is a fireblock? It's like an iceblock, but made of fire. He does this while waiting to see what Adria has to say about his infosharing. Well, Star was described as being at the house, so... Zone 0 - The House? A flicker from the blade might catch Star's attention. And if that doesn't, then surely the feminine voice speaking up from seemingly nowhere will manage instead. "Realms of mind... in a sense. A dream within a dream. My creator ventured into the mindscape of another entity, and it was there that I was forged." A pause, then another flicker. The faint outline of a feminine form can be seen seated nearby. "To me, sleep is more akin to focusing my attention elsewhere. In that elsewhere, I observe whatever there is to observe. My creator's less guarded plans. My mother's manner of wielding me. Their interactions with their compatriots..." One more pause... One that extends onwards into an unspecified eternity, the faint outline turning in Star's direction, silently wondering what remarks they might have to make. -------------------- "Their story has concluded for now. Currently, you follow mine."

Since she has reached the 3-downs threshold on her Mana Manipulator, "the Scion" chooses passive B, and then passive B again. BATTLES - BASE OF THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS UNITY The Nanotechnician runs to F15 along the wall, asks the Darkmorph to please move a bit to the right, and then ends their move at G15. They use their action to basic attack heal the group of Spherebreakers who need the most healing. "The Scion" waits until someone grabs Amabilis's equipment. She then moves to H21, standing on Saint 1's body, and casts Shackling Blast on Earthshaker 1, consuming the corpses of Amabilis, Saint 1, and the Songstress (regenerating MP and HP) and benefitting from Elemental Mastery, Ordo, and three debuffs with her trait. Finally, she throws a Cinderfruit at Fighter 1 and requests that Wattle shoot them. CALYPSE The Calypse Reflector frowns and signals something back to Calypse in Morse code. CALYPSE REFLECTOR: your uplink was intentionally severed. CALYPSE REFLECTOR: ware has become compromised extremely untrustworthy! his tactics are erratic and irrational. possibly because there is well a rather malicious butterfly god manipulating him! CALYPSE REFLECTOR: please cease repairing your uplink so the butterfly does not influence you as well, or else i will be forced to damage it again. CALYPSE REFLECTOR: other eliti, for example droplet, yume, maxim, el iti, the gallow's child have established their own objectives. CALYPSE REFLECTOR: perhaps you could coordinate link with them? EL ITI: REVIVAL "The Metallurgist" brings the sleeping El Iti into my new favorite place to take dangerous NPCs: one of the many empty rooms in the Rosen Catacombs. Not the one Calypse is in, of course. She then activates El Iti. DAWN "The Scion" giggles. "THE SCION": Ooh, we could have Dawn build a temple to our new pantheon! "THE SCION": Maybe we should stop ordering them around after they go find Echoss, though... "THE SCION": Mostly because it's a lot of work... and a little mean. -------------------- |

Auth nods, touching the ground once more underneath the Remnant.
AUTH: I think I shouldn't push my luck with the Remnant - its wounds are healed, I should give it some time to recover before I go in to try and clean up, as it were. AUTH: I'm happy to be of service. Should we clean up, as it were? I can't imagine that the Remnant would be too happy to be surrounded by Iti corpses, regardless of how they got there. Cleaning up probably just means throwing the corpses out of the room and slash or incinerating them, but it's the thought that matters. Would you like to be surrounded by Iti corpses and be mostly unable to do anything about them? Auth thinks for a minute. AUTH: Why not just ask her tonight or tomorrow, Nana? I'd suggest it's probably for the better, you might not have such an ideal opportunity to talk to her like this later on. AUTH: If you're worried about it we can go together and I can help back you up. I wouldn't mind. Auth sighs as Nana's face tells Auth exactly what he needs to know about Nana's capability of playing a CD - none. It's not entirely a surprise, to be fair, but still. AUTH: Well, I guess it's not too surprising you don't have a CD player. I'm sure we can scrounge one up from somewhere. AUTH: It is a device. it uses a red laser to... I didn't think I was going to actually explain it, but I guess we're doing it anyway. AUTH: The surface of the CD is covered in tiny gaps - too small for the eye to see. The CD player can use a laser to read those grooves and turn them into sound. As for how people discovered it? AUTH: I don't know the history myself, it's not something I ever thought to look into. I imagine it was mostly trial-and-error though, a surprising number of things are discovered entirely by accident. Auth wonders to himself how Chairians first discovered magic - was it, similarly, through trial and error, as science is often progressed? Auth listens and nods as Cypress explains that he's not a speechwriter, and how the others mention preparing something for him. Auth seems mildly concerned by that - it appears that what he wanted to say was not successfully conveyed. AUTH: I appreciate the offer to prepare something for me, really, but for the most part I think I will be more than capable of managing the content of my own speeches. What I was asking for was direction, really. Topics and tone. AUTH: Perhaps, if you will be preparing something in advance, I might sit in on speechwriting? If we are to work together, knowing what you want to say will help me condense what I want to say. I think I might want to check my own thoughts about what I might want to say with you all anyway to ensure that they have the intended effect. AUTH: Apologies if I gave the wrong impression. Auth looks to the Ninja that attacked him and the Darkmorph standing next to him... that also attacked him. AUTH: That was rather rude, wasn't it? Surely, there was no need for any of that, and look at what you've done regardless. AUTH: It was all for naught anyway. Now, please get out of the way of the giant tank. Firstly, Auth uses his Item Action to use the Warp Ring to pull Ninja2 to O11, out of Rosie's way. Now, Auth is Slowed, and I don't think he should be, so assuming that sticks Auth moves to M15, the only safe square he can reach. He then casts Kindness on himself, mildly irritated. -------------------- They say that there's no rest for the wicked, until they close their eyes for good.
As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now. |

<ROUND 302>
To begin, Echoss does some science! Research Nanomachines are used to obtain HPBoost Ω! 16 Samples and 1,200 Credits are spent on Gibbet to grant them M A X I M U M power, and 100 Samples are spent to obtain the Purest Blessing upgrade. 500 Credits are also given to Nia, obtaining the Transistor! Nia immediately spends this money on getting herself several enterprise sized tubs of ice cream. All the party's researchers are then assigned to go do some work: Mari is asked to research MPBoost Ω, and Omorika works on Xeno's Hunger. Cypress begins piecing together the Slam Pod. The Sleuth is then asked to research the Exoknight (>Codex Updated!), and Nia is asked to upgrade the Bouquet Dimensions and the Sock Puppet Galactic Court. These are improved to the Lily of Infinite Quietus and the Sock Collective, respectively. A few insect-sized spaceships depart from the inventory, presumably taking off on diplomatic missions or something like that. Then, the Recording Studio in a Box safely stowed away in the inventory, Echoss and Aoki make their way over to the house to assemble the booth. Setting up right in front of Couchtron, Echoss leads the construction efforts as he's the one who's read the manual. Luckily for Aoki, assembly is rather simple once the explanation of each and every wire is laid out for you. A few minutes later, and some quick Arbormancy to create an actual studio box, the Recording Studio is assembled! AOKI: This is quite the lovely little bunker we've assembled here. AOKI: I'm used to something more spacious, but this shall do quite nicely. AOKI: Now, as for what else we'll need... we should see about getting someone to write a speech, as well as someone experienced in camera work. AOKI: As for the speech... I could attempt to do it myself, but I would need a basis to work off of. If only so I can properly reflect all of your ideals, of course. AOKI: If we need a camera operator... t-there is someone I would recommend, but I am unsure of their status. They were conscripted into the Chairian Legion, which, due to a variety of factors, has quite the high mortality rate. AOKI: A-Are you familiar with a Redgum Acuta? H-He was security personnel, but i-is also quite adept at the technical side of my job as an idol. A faint green blush crosses her face as she mentions the name of this someone. Redgum Acuta? I wonder who that might be. Perhaps you know. Perhaps you don't. I don't know. Venia says a wide variety of things! To begin, she yells up at the Dream of Unity, up at Spark. It was a trap! She called it! And she's gonna send this trap screaming to hell with him! Unfortunately for Venia, Spark is already rather high up in the air. It'd be a miracle if he could hear her from the cockpit of the Dream of Unity. Or wherever he is. Omorika is the slightest bit bothered by her yelling. OMORIKA: Congratulations on your deductions, miss Praefortis. OMORIKA: However, please share it with the class next time. Perhaps we would've been able to ground the Dream of Unity before it took off. OMORIKA: ...Then again, I don't think any of us would've guessed that he'd use the Creation Glyph upon the Dream of Unity itself. Then, heading over to Nia's side, Venia helps her girlfriend up to her feet. Though being made of ice makes it rather hard to bleed, she's drenched from head to toe in sweat. Her arms and legs are also looking the slightest bit slush-y. She doesn't complain when Venia suggests she get off the field. NIA: Y-Yeah, I'll t-take it easy for a bit... NIA: Once I grab them, I-I'll go fix myself up, then rest up... NIA: Maybe I'll just wait for you in bed? Yeah. Yeah! NIA: Doesn't that sound nice? NIA: A little bit of incentive for you to win this without me!~ Nia gives Venia a quick peck on the lips, before retreating into the airship. It's not long before she's back home, where she calls Taeda and Gibbet to arms. Before she departs, Taeda bops Nia on the head with her gun, bestowing Helix's restorative blessing onto her. Nia then takes a moments to clean up before the combat finishes. Getting beaten up is rarely good for your skin, or appearance. Then, Venia takes the Twitchy Glyph out of the inventory. She thrusts it down towards the ground, attempting to send its energies down into the ground! The earth reverberates with the power of the Twitchy Glyph! Even with it aimed downwards, the residual psychic energies still cause moderate pain in the minds of everyone in the area. While she's not entirely sure if its energies will reverberate all the way down to Xavier and help him out... who knows? Venia then takes a moment to read the Old Rosen Oath. Old Rosen Oath Venia then asks Vulcan if she wishes to leave the Everground. She shakes her head. VULCAN: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but... I was under the impression that the Remnant was going to die. VULCAN: If they're alive, somebody will need to take care of them. Correct? VULCAN: But... here. Take this. VULCAN: Should you require my assistance for any reason, I shall arrive. She steps near the base of the Remnant, shifting aside a few bricks. A small cache of collectables is stashed away snuggly behind them- personal belongings of a sort? From the collection, she pulls out a flux-tainted rune. It's quite similar to the Teleportation Rune that the Praetorians have, at least in terms of general design. Far as Venia can tell, it's designed to amplify a sort of signal? VULCAN: And, should you end up facing the Butterfly themselves... I can assure you that I will arrive. VULCAN: Goodbye, miss Praefortis. May you succeed against the Butterfly, and the inevitable Reunion. VULCAN: ...Though, if you're inclined to stay awhile, I will not complain. It has been far too long since I've had a guest that hasn't tried to eat me. Elsewhere, Venia seeks out a Chairian which she calls "doctor bubby". She informs them that she knows where the rest of the Science Team is. This Chairian nods their head up and down rather rapidly from a fighting position. SCIENTIST: Lead the way, Gordon! Venia ever so cautiously makes her way back to where the majority of the science team is. Upon seeing each other, each member of the science team jumps on the spot exactly once. They get a surprising amount of airtime. Huh. SCIENTIST: Ah, there you are! SCIENTIST: You owe me five credits. SCIENTIST: Dr. Bubby! SCIENTIST: We have... we have reservations for the pizza party tonight! SCIENTIST: There is soda and pizza at the party! SCIENTIST: Finally. SCIENTIST: Thank you, Gordon! SCIENTIST: AUUUUGH- All three scientists no-clip through the floor, leaving Venia miraculously unharmed. On the ground is an odd little artifact. She picks it up, flipping this thing open. It's a passport with her name on it. Passport obtained! It appears to be a trinket. Now, where'd they go? Let's hope they're not doing anything incredibly dangerous. Finally, Maria continues her gripping match of Snakes and Ladders. Being a master strategististerologist, Maria continues to riding snakes. Rolling a series of critical successes, Maria manages to underflow her way from spot 1 to 100 no less than seventeen times, generating 3400 gold. This gives her enough gold to continue her covert operation, which she's had in place since Round 6. The World Eater, Ouroboros stirs beneath the earth, its body embedded in the border of the overworld and the void. Despite being the World Eater, Ouroboros is a protected species. They're also incredibly endangered. What most players don't know is that Ouroboros has the mystical property of being able to be ridden forever. Damn thing's a circle. Her special operative known as Solid Snake slithers to the border. There, Charon's guards are woefully unprepared for what storm is about to descend upon them. A box slides into the room, one of the guards taking notice. As they walk over to investigate, Solid Snake pops out and constricts their neck around the guard, nearly instantly decapitating them. The 1,000 gold Maria invested into their attack was worth it! Before the next few guards are able to engage, Solid Snake manages to chain five actions in a row, popping off their heads one by one. This clears the instance, causing Maria to look x1 Ouroboros. Then, making use of the fortune she's accumulated throughout the game, she sets her master plan into action. Placing Ouroboros into her Snake Breeder Compound, she's informed that it'll take 50 rounds to breed a new Ouroboros. But that won't do! Fortunately, like most games nowadays, one can pay money to accelerate the process. 50,000 Gold goes into this, giving Maria x6 Ouroboros Babies. These, along with their mother, are put into Maria's zoo, accelerating her Zoo Grade directly to 99 out of 100. Such a rare species had enough impact to even bypass the exponential amounts required to get to 92 to 93, and so on. But, the real purpose of this operation is of course, the ability to truly shatter the game. Ouroboros's perk "Infinite Riding" allows a player to ride them for as long as they'd like in a given round. But, there's a small problem. The game has a mechanic that caps the number of operations from any infinite loop to 25 per round. Fortunately, her Lawyer has just levelled up to Bard 17, and has obtained the ability to charm reality itself! As a teensy winsy little favor, the Lawyer asks reality if it can rescind this little, insignificant infinite loop rule. And so, it is done. When Maria's next turn occurs, she will temporarily pull the mother Ouroboros from her zoo, and generate infinite gold. While Chaos would take his turn, the Antimatter Devil Karen he's been fighting has called for the manager, and Chaos, being the only employee around, had to lose their entire turn fetching their manager. This of course, means that he's unable to do any counterplay. Then, on Maria's turn, she'll be able to accumulate literally infinite money. But what would Maria do with infinite money and infinite snakes? I don't know. And how will Maria deal with the Charon bossfight? This is the question that all of Thymium pivots around. Adria has a bit of a freakout when Chloe resurfaces. Though, she's a bit distracted by the vessel taking off and such. Once the dust settles ever so slightly, she's able to get a good look at the battered Chloe. Tears are rolling down her face at an alarming rate. CHLOE: X-Xavier... I-I... c-can't believe th-that I l-let him... CHLOE: H-He c-can't be... ...Please pet the Chloe. It's essential to her battle performance. Asha sends Dawn on a trip. Thanks to her dominion as a super goddess, she commands Dawn to learn some humility! They must study under the great and powerful God of Butterflies! This is, of course, Echoss. Dawn tilts up and down, levitating towards the house. DAWN: I SHALL DO AS YOU ASK, GREAT GODDESS ASHA. DAWN: THANK YOU FOR SHOWING MERCY UPON THIS INSOLENT CHILD. Once Dawn is safely(?) inside of the house, Marron loosens up a little. No more threat of incineration, she hopes? But anyway, isn't being a goddess fun? Marron nods. MARRON: Being a goddess is pretty chill. MARRON: But... what are you the goddess of, anyway? MARRON: Like, apparently you're the creator goddess, but I think you're probably also the goddess of magic and also cute girls. MARRON: And then Ette could be the goddess of plushies and good vibes, or something. What is Asha's domain? This is also the question all of Thymium pivots around. Uh, I got distracted by MITF. What was I doing again? Anyway, I'm not really sure what I can respond to here, but EN decides it might be cool to go hunting. Specifically, they're gonna go hunting for a Fell Behemoth. Or uh, the "Fell God", perhaps? If they really decide to go hunting, perhaps it'd be best to ask someone where said mythical beast exists? Though, if one had to take a general guess as to where it is, it's probably somewhere around the Old Pass. That's where the first Fell Beast was fought, so it makes sense! Right? But... yeah. Go find someone who might know about it? The Scion does a variety of things. First, they upgrade the Mana Manipulator into the Anti Mage Warcrime Device. I mean, this probably doesn't actually commit warcrimes, but to the poor mages you shoot, it'll sure feel like it. Then elsewhere, they continue to be the Calypse that only they can be. They rapidly flash back to Calypse, informing them that not only is Ware untrustworthy, but that their link was intentionally severed! Calypse shudders as it reviews its databanks. While it doesn't find anything specifically on the Butterfly, why would it have any reason to not trust this exact copy of itself? Actually, now that I'm putting it like that, it's kinda sus, isn't it? CALYPSE: (MORE INFORMATION REQUIRED) CALYPSE: (CURRENT TASK: DISABLE UPLINK REPAIRS) CALYPSE: (COMPLETE) CALYPSE: (CURRENT TASK: ESTABLISH CONTACT WITH OTHER ITI) CALYPSE: (REQUESTING INFORMATION OF WHEREABOUTS.) Calypse creates another mental link with the Reflector. Beaming the information they require should come naturally to them, given their current form. But who to have them seek out? There's a fair chance they'll teleport away the moment this happens, so maybe figure something out regarding that, too. Then, down in the Rosen Catacombs, the Metallurgist takes El Iti into one of the empty rooms of the Rosen Catacombs. Looking upon El Iti's back, there's the "internet on" switch. Flick. El Iti's mouth pops open, and from it begins the familiar(?) swelling of the Overwatch theme. There's the sound of moving cursors, and then a loading bar appears above El Iti. "SEARCHING FOR GAME..." About a minute later, El Iti snaps back to attention. EL ITI: Finally. Unbanned. EL ITI: Thank you, kind... wait, you're one of those hackers, aren't you? EL ITI: But still. A thanks is in order. EL ITI: Though, I believe I tried to kill you and all your friends. I don't quite get where you're going with this. EL ITI: Are you looking for a queue partner? Someone to pull a heist with? EL ITI: I can assure you that I'm the best of the best, partner. ...Yeah, what is the plan here? Though, having El Iti on your side couldn't be a bad thing, right? Finally, the Scion suggests to Asha and Marron that maybe they should stop ordering around Dawn. It's a lot of work, and probably a little mean. MARRON: I mean, they think we're heavenly beings. MARRON: It's... kinda funny. I'm like, the least heavenly one can get! I think. MARRON: Besides, they seem happy to help us, right? Don't people love doing things by the whims of their gods, or something? MARRON: I dunno. I don't really subscribe to any religions, except for whatever our religion here is called. MARRON: "Ashaism?" MARRON: But... maybe it is a bit mean. Hm. The Church of Asha needs a proper name. They also need to figure out whether it's fine to keep playing with Dawn like this. It's probably fine... right? The Author asks Vulcan if they should clean up. She responds by immediately erasing a Predator corpse by chopping it up into nothingness. That's one way to dispose of a body. VULCAN: By all means, please aid me. VULCAN: The Remnant would likely enjoy some peace and quiet, and these corpses would probably make them uneasy. VULCAN: At the very least though, they're unsightly. Put them somewhere out of sight, out of mind. Auth then suggests to Nana that perhaps they could just get an autograph from Aoki tonight, or even tomorrow. Nana nods, but she's the slightest bit uneasy. NANA: U-Um, alright! I hope w-we're not bothering h-her, though. NANA: W-Wouldn't it be annoying t-to be pestered a-about work related t-things when you're not at work? NANA: But... i-it couldn't hurt to ask, right? Then, as Nana ponders how to play a CD with a red laser, Auth explains it to her. Basically, the laser can read tiny gaps in a CD, and it translates that into sound. Nana bobs her head, still unsure how a laser would do that, exactly. But sure. NANA: Tiny bumps that hold music... NANA: I... don't get it. NANA: D-Do any tiny bumps work, though? NANA: Maybe if I shined a red laser over my face, w-we'd hear m-music that sounds like me? Maybe she's slightly incredibly lost. Just a bit. When it comes to working with technology, maybe Nana would end up using a trial and error process. She's smart enough, right? Just a little bit, ever so slightly, woefully uninformed. Then, over with Cypress, he notes that he's probably more than capable of writing his own speeches. All he needs is direction. Cypress considers the message that Aoki will be delivering. It covers one very specific area, doesn't it? It doesn't take long for him to deliver his idea. CYPRESS: Aoki's message. Regards Spark's crimes. Mistreatment of soldiers. Comrades. Everyone. CYPRESS: Your message. Less sharp. More calming. Reassure the people. Muse about plans. After the war. CYPRESS: Destroying government: void. Something new fills. What is it? Soothe that worry. ...What will be done once the Sphere collapses, along with Spark's reign? Can the people be so easily calmed after such a monumental downfall? Perhaps that's a bit of a complicated question... but maybe the Author is the one to answer it. Or at least, help answer it. <BASE OF UNITY, ROUND FIVE> Spark's voice echoes down from the Dream of Unity. He's ever so slightly disappointed with the efforts of the Legion down below. SPARK: Unbelievable. SPARK: Even with the fantastic motivation I gave you all, you've failed to apprehend any of the Spherebreakers. SPARK: You're incapable of following even simple orders. SPARK: Why can't you all just follow. Basic. Orders. SPARK: If I were in your shoes, victory would be assured. I would fight for the glory of the Chairheir, without failure. SPARK: I would seize glory for our people, where you could do naught but tremble and fall, one by one. SPARK: It disgusts me. With that, the energy from the Creation Glyph that was once pooling around Spark's troops dissapitates. SPARK: You're all a waste of my time. SPARK: Join the Spherebreakers, for all I care. The Legion cares not for useless whelps like you lot. SPARK: I don't need you. SPARK: With this Glyph... I don't need anybody but the best of the best. SPARK: Goodbye. Omorika flings herself to the top of the Airship by extending a wooden arm out from the airship. It grabs her, and tosses her up. Landing upon the deck, she yells something down to Cypress. As the two speak, Cypress wastes no time boosting himself up to the deck in a similar fashion. OMORIKA: C-Cypress! The creation energy has vanished. OMORIKA: He's going to kill everyone. Everyone. CYPRESS: ...Should've expected this. CYPRESS: Omorika. Combine powers. Arbormancy: all troops. CYPRESS: Bring them here. Whether they want it o----- Cypress accidentally detonates his voicebox once more, but the message has gone through. Willing as much power as they possibly can, the hull of the Airship shoots forth into a swarm of wooden hands. These grab the fallen, the injured, and those who were only moments ago trying to kill the Spherebreakers. The gravity of the situation has only just now begun to dawn on them. But, there are not enough hands. Not enough to save everyone. WATTLE: All troops! Aid Lord Cypress! Collect as many injured as you can before the vessel takes off! NANA: I-If I was s-still fighting b-by Spark's s-side, would he do t-this to me...? NANA: B-But... I won't l-let him harm t-those who trusted him! I-I'll help too! MAPLE: Though Spark might let his people down, I sure as hell won't! MAPLE: Valkyrie's charge!~ AOKI: Disgusting. Truly disgusting. AOKI: I will do all I can, however little that may be. An entire army of arms shoot from the Airship, plucking soldiers one by one and collecting soldiers. Those who aren't as adept at Woodmancy take different measures. Nana pops stimulant darts into those aiding the escape efforts. Maple jets around, scooping up soldiers one by one. Aoki pushes herself, managing to carry a single soldier back to the ship. Soon enough, all of what's soon to be ground zero is cleared of soldiers. MARI: OKAY, EVERYONE ON! MARI: WE'RE TAKING OFF IN FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO- Heavenly light shines from above. Or is it perhaps demonic? A wellspring of fire has opened up in the sky. From it, a fusillade of meteors streaks down, crimson flames scorching the battlefield. A hail of bullets and spells shoots from the Airship, slapping away meteors that'd probably punch holes right through the vessel. MARI: -RIIIIIGHT gorillaING NOW! GO GO GO! Channeling her energy as a Transcendent of Wind, a surge of roaring winds batter at the ship from below. The takeoff is nigh-instantaneous, causing nearly everyone on the deck to stumble and fall. Then, conjuring a powerful tailwind, Mari steers the vessel through the oncoming storm of meteorites. Soon, she's out of the storm, but somewhat exhausted. MARI: G-God... MARI: A-Anyway, w-we can't let Spark hold that glyph any longer, c-can we? MARI: While normally I'd advise backing out to lick our wounds... the Dream of Unity is in motion. She's right. The Dream of Unity is slowly soaring through the skies, approaching the Sphere itself. It'll take some time for it to arrive, but... that can't possibly be good, can it. OMORIKA: What is S-Spark planning? OMORIKA: But... we really don't have a choice, do we? OMORIKA: Mari! Approach the Dream of Unity. We're taking it down right this instant. MARI: Alright, alright... MARI: This is... gonna suck. Once again calling upon her powers, Mari moves the Airship at flanking speeds. The sky billows by, not a cloud in sight. The Dream of Unity draws ever closer. Upon the wings, surges of creation energy pulse outward. Try as Omorika might to get a visual on things, it's near inscrutable given the distance and the speed at which they're travelling. Fortunately for her, the trip isn't long. Sending the ship to as much of a screeching halt as one can in midair, Mari matches speeds with the Dream of Unity, flying alongside it. More and more pulses of creation energy shoot from the vessel, things crawling out from them. They're barely humanoid in appearance, made out of what appears to be a loosely-jumbled collection of wood held together by creation energy. Wood is not a liquid, but these entities are challenging that fact. OMORIKA: T-Those are... w-what are those? OMORIKA: They're not Chairians. Spark... Spark wouldn't trust the Legion to deliver him wine at this point. CHLOE: C-Copies. C-Copies of Spark. CHLOE: J-Just like the ones t-that... k-killed... She's right. They're all Spark. A legion of Sparks, standing upon the wings of the Dream of Unity. Each is armed with a variety of different weapons, from staves to bows to blades. Their lips begin to move in unison, matching the booming of Spark's voice from the Dream of Unity itself. SPARK: Behold, Spherebreakers. SPARK: The ultimate power of the Creation Glyph. SPARK: Where my soldiers have failed time and time again, I shall not. SPARK: I have assembled the perfect army. SPARK: An army consisting of only those I can trust. Myself. SPARK: They won't turn around and stab me in the back! Just like Omorika, Cypress, and all the others! SPARK: They are loyal! LOYAL! SPARK: A loyal, unwavering army cannot be defeated! The crystalline wings of the Dream of Unity glimmer in the glow of the setting sun. There is silence, but only for a few moments. One by one, Spark's soldiers take up their arms against the Airship. Some sort of shambling monstrosity allows itself to be pulled from the inner decks of the Dream of Unity, and out from the hangar. SPARK: I alone possess the power to guide Locaa and its people! SPARK: I alone possess the power to protect and usher Locaa into the future! SPARK: And I alone shall be your RECKONING! You are accosted by... THE DREAM OF UNITY The Nightmare, Realized PLAY - Dark Colossus (Nier Automata) So. The Dream of Unity is divided into two maps. The outside of the vessel, known as the Armaments. The innards of the vessel, called the Interior. Each map has crucial objectives to perform. On the Armaments, a horde of Spark's copies- "Perfect Chairians"- will constantly besiege the vessel. There are also the horrifying Throne Launchers which will rip chunks from the Airship's HP bar. Destroy those to prevent the vessel's destruction! There are also various other things that can be broken apart to lessen the number of attackers on the vessel, too. Teleporters, boarding spikes- destroy them all! In the Interior, the goal is straightforward- press through the vessel's defenses to destroy the Core of the Dream of Unity! Of course, there are entire legions of hostiles in your way, including a fair number of Perfect Leaders. Sure, you can only see one at the moment, but I can assure you that there are at least two more lying off the edge of the map somewhere. Proceed with caution, but also with speed- there are devices in here that'll slowly plink away at the Aiship's HP. Work together, and conquer both maps at once to sink the Dream of Unity! Godspeed, Spherebreakers! -------------------- |

BATTLES - DREAM OF UNITY ARMAMENTS
"Scion" spawns at H16 and holds up the Shard of Madness, bending the Thymefield to give Spark even more power for no reason. She then moves to F6 on the Interior and casts Sapping Sigil on I5, giving herself the Weakened with her trait because why not. As a bonus action, she uses the Violence Virophage to copy all of her own debuffs to Perfect Archer 1. At the end of her turn, the plague spreads normally from Scion to Perfect Soldier 2 and from Perfect Archer 1 to Perfect Archer 2. The Nanotechnician spawns at H16 and moves to J16. They wait for Venia to do the Rangefinding thing, then use a bonus action to fire the Twin Railcannons at Throne Launcher 1. Finally, they throw a Nanoswarm: Debilitate at Perfect Soldier 6. CALYPSE The Reflector takes out a piece of paper and scribbles down a message on it: "calypse has agreed to help your cause! it communicates in morse code although however it does appear rather reticent with beings other than ware or myself, but possibly you could inspire it to speak up with your leadership skills? i greatly worry for the future of your settlement ms. droplet so please make good of calypse's scouting abilities as to detect threats. yours, a spherebreaker you have never met [postscript: do not put calypse in a gun again!]" They tape the piece of paper to Calypse and begin speaking again. CALYPSE REFLECTOR: please report to and protect the eliti the former pop star droplet, currently positioned near the town of omnite directly well mostly directly above us! EL ITI "The Metallurgist"... shrugs. "THE METALLURGIST": You were under the control of an insane chair artificial intelligence. "THE METALLURGIST": We didn't feel like holding you accountable. "THE METALLURGIST": Just seemed wrong to number 6 to let you die. We don't need you for anything in particular. "THE METALLURGIST": You could go and find a new team if you want. Those Seekers are pretty deceased. "THE METALLURGIST": Though, I'd recommend you make your matches less lethal in the future, or else we'll have to stuff your ass in the inventory again. "THE METALLURGIST": ...If you don't have any better ideas, we are going to be conducting an assault on the Citadel soon. I hear you specialize in that sort of thing. "THE METALLURGIST": Think you could put together some infiltrators to help us smash our way in? STAR When Sol Aeterna speaks, Star starts in shock, accidentally phasing through the house's chimney. The weapon goes clattering down the roof before Star darts over and grabs it with their claw-like digits. STAR: ...I knew you did not slumber forever little yellow light STAR: I felt some kinship with thyself and wished to wield thy in battle to free my own creator STAR: ...,,,I am sorry for dropping you and not asking your permission and not knowing your name and STAR: STAR: Should we tell about ourselves then?~ if it is not too soon, DAWN "The Scion", rather exhausted from this series of events, slumps over in a chair. :scioncomf: "THE SCION": Yes, I woke up Dawn. "THE SCION": I didn't expect them to be so... much... though, haha... "THE SCION": I guess I'm the Goddess of Plagues now. "THE SCION": Sorry for telling them that you were the one who made them... Even if it's true. -------------------- |

Asha shrugs.
"I didn't really have any plans for Dawn after sending them away, so I guess that's fine. To be honest, how do you deal with an entity of unknown power level that is under the impression you're some sort of deity? I was kind of scared that they'd vaporise me if I said that I'm anything other than 'the progenitor god of beards' or whatever they called me." She scratches her chin thoughtfully. "Who knows, maybe Echoss will straighten this all out in a reasonable and uneventful manner." "...And as for my domain in this weird pantheon we've created, I think I'll officially be the Goddess of Magic and Beards, what with all the talk of my divine beard and stuff. Speaking of, what deific role did you get assigned, Scion? I still don't really have context for any of this, but I assume you're the one that awakened the golem." |

Broadcast Work:
Echoss thinks for a moment at the request for Redgum. Others are probably better suited for doing the writing, but Redgum might just be someone he can find. "Would Redgum happen to go by the nickname of 'Gum'?" Aoki answers affirmatively, and Echoss nods. "Then give me just a moment." Echoss makes his way up to the second floor of the barracks and walks over to Gum. "Gum, would your full name perhaps happen to be "Redgum Acuta"?" Upon confirmation: "We are working on something to try and reduce the fighting on our way into the citadel tomorrow, we have one Miss Aoki acting as one of our speakers for the broadcast and she said you have the skills to help. ...She also seems rather interested in making sure you're okay, so even if you'd rather focus on relaxing for right now, perhaps at least come down and say hello?" Battle: In the cutscene, Eren does his own bits of assistance. While he may not be using arbomancy as such, he strains to leverage his artifacts' power, helping the chairian members draw in those in need of rescue with gusts of winds to help Maple move faster, pieces of the floor wrenching out of place to shift or throw soldiers closer, and a shimmering glow that clearly strains him to use but somehow makes it feel like there's more time to save everyone than expected. Sparks flicker out of his torso, smoke spewing from his shoulder. He says nothing as the airship takes off and begins to pursue the Dream of Unity, instead tossing cameras and communicators to a few people who look unoccupied but lucid enough to keep track of what's happening. He gestures towards Spark's airship. "Keep those cameras filming. Catch everything you can." He stares out at the Dream when it begins crawling with soldiers and Spark makes his speech, holding a camera of his own. He doesn't say anything but the way his eyes flicker with raging light makes his feelings pretty clear. QUICK RESPEC: Eren switches to Fire element on Armistyx, and swaps out Siege Spire for Zillycharm! Battle Action: Eren spawns in, moves to the nearest teleporter, teleports into the South of the Interior. Moves to D16, casts Zillycharm on the Godhand, and gives it a Tornadopetal Remedy. The best time to craft your friends some consumables is last week, the next best time is this round. Craft Serpent up some higher tier fragapple-derived attack consumables to use for pinging assists (higher range and wider splash desired over damage up) Praetorian jail in the catacombs needs to be established, ASAP. Make sure party prep is ready. (save for near the end of the day) Properly seal up Linseed's room so he can't try to dig out. Adria... can't really do all that much, other than help direct everyone so that they don't accidentally get in each other's way. Once everyone's on, her and Bristle leap onto the airship and brace themselves for the oncoming storm.
Once out of the way of everything, and after listening to Spark's words... she giggles, and then bursts into full-on laughter of the briefest moments. ADRIA: Haha... "Perfect" army? ADRIA: Oh you poor, clueless idiot. ADRIA: The second you "win" your little war and the Sphere is supposedly no more, assuming you don't go down with it... ADRIA: You have no idea what unholy hell you have brought upon yourself. Specifically yourself. ADRIA: Am I going to tell you? No. You do not deserve to know. ADRIA: Fearmongering, illegal weaponry, mistreatment of ancient artifacts and historically significant items, murder, attempted murder, attempted genocide, man... chairslaughter, illegal tampering, I wonder what else is under that little umbrella of yours. ADRIA: The textbook definition of disgusting. Childish, even. No, even children are more mature than you. ADRIA: Go on then. "Win" your war. "Save" the Chairian people. Like you were "destined to do". ADRIA: I wonder how many parallel timelines we have defeated you in... and how many of each timeline ends with the salvation of your people... Adria levels her railgun at the ship, scanning for a practical target to fire at. ADRIA: EVERYONE! DO NOT HOLD BACK! SEND THIS WORTHLESS WRETCH OF A PERSON TO TIME'S END WHERE IT BELONGS! ACTUAL ACTION - ARMAMENTS Adria spawns in on (H18), uses the Helix Relic on... her own exosuit (okay?), then moves to (I19). She fires Acceleration Round (with 4 ranks of Acceleration and High Ground Bonus) at Throne Launcher 1, then continues to (L22). She seems unfazed by the "soldier" next to her as she uses Alter Reality to swap her Enlightened to Empowered. She then Basic Attacks Throne Launcher 1, then Basic Attacks again, expending 2 Processing. She also spawns a Basic Attack Chronoshade at (R19). The cat spawns in at (F16) and moves to (E15). It slaps the Weapon Controller a bit, somehow managing to fire Twin Railcannons at Throne Launcher 1. It then moves to (F14), well out of harm's way. The Symbiote, once Chloe is in position, uses Stab on Perfect Soldier 5. -------------------- "...I will aid them. No matter the cost to myself."
