Craft: Wings of Bifrost

Materials Used:
- Amphi Aura Extract x1
- Skyscales x2
- Silverwood Logs x10
- Tornadopetal x3
- Gravcore Ore x3
- Yellow Sap Blob x7
Before the team takes off, Hexagon takes off his cloak, looking at the shimmering fabric. He glances back up at the airship, and quickly speeds away, returning to the storage room of the house. They retrieve the above items, and quickly get to work. Taking the Gravcore Ore, Hexagon lifts it up and cast Fury on himself. With newfound physical ability, he crushes the Gravcore into shape, combining magical strength and standard robot strength. He shapes into a ball, then cuts a hole in the side. He pushes the Tornadopetals in, then the Amphi Extract and Yellow Sap Blobs. The elemental wind energy from the gravcore, petals, and extract cause the the Gravcore to start to shake violently in Hexagon’s hand, and he quickly takes out the Silverwood Logs. Fashioning some sort of pin out of them, he plugs the hole in the gravcore ball and pins it the cloak. He finishes off by adorning the cloak with Skyscales. Hesitantly, he puts the cloak, now equipped with a weird glowing Gravcore orb, on. The cloak, already rainbow, intensifies its glow, and it spreads out behind the robot in a way vaguely like wings. Hexagon looks up.. And with a flap of the wings, now fueled by air magykks, takes flight. Ready for battle, he drops down and joins the ship.. And the battle.
Wings of Bifrost crafted! It’s the rainbow cloak but now they grant flight.

Battle!

Hexagon spawns on J21, using Eager Beaver. They activate Whirling Blades, moving I20-H20-G20-F19-E18-G17-H17. Then he retreats to J17, and activates the Telenode with his last MOV to teleport to O11, next to that Telenode.

Battle: Amidst the Clouds

"Keep the Iti away from the ship!"

Venia spawns in at O22, moves to R20, pops her Bonus Action Ordo, and spawns in A miniature replica of the Vic Viper at R21. She also uses the bonus action of the weapon system she's right next to in order to activate the drill and give the Harpy right in front of it a predictably messy death.

The House

Maria's an early morning kind of person. She was probably one of the first up, and one of the first dressed, well before she took position right next to the slumbering Venia and Nia and took a very deep breath.

"GOOD MORNING GOOD MORNING GOOD MORNING, IT'S TIME TO RISE AND SHIIIIIIIIINE!"

Maria's cheery 'singing' could wake the dead. Venia was awake, but happily allowing herself to enjoy Nia's unconscious cuddling until Maria exploded into noise.

"Oh, good morning Maria! Howabout you wake up everyone else?" Venia says. Maria giggles to herself as she runs off, allowing the duo to get properly dressed.

"... Sorry about that, she likes waking everyone up in the morning..." Venia says at Nia. "Let's get dressed and see what breakfast gets us, alright?"

Meanwhile, after a lap around the whole house, screaming everyone's ears off, she turns around back to Ette. "Good morning. What're you doin' today?" Maria asks. "I'mma pet all the fluffies."

The Old Pass

Having accured the Gray Chimes courtesy of Dorothy, Venia makes it a point to personally deliver it to Droplet...

And sees the unfurling scene between the Gray Iti and the Rebels. She sighs, waves to Droplet to signify her approach, discreetly activates a tracking beacon on her person (sending a message to the other Spherebreakers to approximate what's happening), and stands behind the trio of Rebels, weapon ready.

"... Hello again, Droplet," Venia says, which probably tips off the Rebels that she's behind them. "Hang on. I'll, I'll call Auth over and see what he can do about, uh, about the Harpy... Just let me deal with, with these idiots." Venia says, approaching the two Rebels a bit closer, weapon raised and ready to fire.

"You two idiots, you two stand absolutely no chance. If I'm shot, if, then you'll have the displeasure of summoning basically, uh, the rest of the Spherebreakers as backup. And, uh, there's two Eliti staring you down already. You're, uh, lucky the Iti colony here are disconnected from the hive. What I mean to say is-take your wounded ally and get lost, and this won't come to worse."

Switch perk Brace for Impact out for Overhealing and Reinforced Plating.

Making the assumption that Full Power to Weapons affects spells loaded into Charge Aspect and Amphi body segments count as multiple enemies for Heavenly Ray, Nemuri spawns aligned Imaginary on O14, moves up to Q13, activates Full Power to Weapons and loads a Heavenly Ray cast into her bow.

Nemuri says something in team chat.
(TEAM) NEMURI: Hey, gather around for heals~

I'm going to pass my absence off as Woodthorne passing out on his way to the catacombs.

With that being said, it's time I actually did something! We only have two more (ingame) days, and a lot needs to happen before then!

AMIDST THE CLOUDS

Woodthorne spawns in at O14, moves to P11, and casts Nature's Wrath on Hexagon.
He then turns to the weapons system next to him (O12), looks at the Amphi, apologizes quietly for the definite pain this is going to cause it, runs a quick calculation for how to best skewer it, and fires the ballista straight toward V2.

Brutishace spawns into Amidst the Clouds at O20, moves over to L20, and fires his Necrotic Arcana Pistol at the second Harpy, then provided nobody else volunteers to finish it off or if one-rounding it is most important (I should edit this later?), Brutishace chucks a Cinderfruit at it for good measure, hopefully sending it to its doom.

He doesn't really have anyone to heal with Soul Siphon at the moment, however.

Auth nods to Magnolia. It's a request he will resolve as soon as he can.

AUTH: Alright, I'll have that ready for you tomorrow, probably. Would you mind taking the body as-is for now, though? Sewing a dress together takes time...

Auth considers the first time he met Magnolia, in reflection of the fact that she can actually repair whichever body she's using...

AUTH: Is that so? I guess when we first met, you mustn't have had the time for it, as I recall your body's condition wasn't that great...

Auth sighs, placing Magnolia on the body of the Chairian.

AUTH: Come and talk to me tomorrow morning, I'll have it ready.

Auth thinks for a second.

AUTH: While I don't know exactly what it is, I can say with some degree of confidence that there's no way anyone around here would keep poison in a tea box.

Auth sighs, quietly, in relief as Marron notes that it's green tea.

AUTH: Well, it's good that it wasn't poison and you liked it. I had that cardboard tea once, and I think it was the most bland tea I've ever tasted.
AUTH: I think that makes it even worse than tea that tastes bad. Tastes like nothing...
AUTH: Anyway. I'll see you tomorrow. I've got plenty of things to do overnight.

With Omo, Auth nods, and takes down swift notes as to what Omo says about the Godblossom's cultivation.

AUTH: It looked like it was growing in a shrine to Helix. I'm frankly surprised one of them is in the Projection Box network.
AUTH: I'll ask Taeda tomorrow if we have anything holy near here, or if she can consecrate ground or something. Personally, I'd like to have it nearby, and nowhere near the Rose Cult.
AUTH: Knowing what I need to makes it easier to deal with. It's much appreciated, thanks Omo.

Auth has plenty of things to cover in the night. The first thing to do is make that dress for Magnolia. Auth takes some Roseweave and Fireproof Silkweave, along with some fluff for comfort (although the intended recipient doesn't need it), and then Auth carefully sews the dress together. A couple of hours later, with some concerted effort, Auth has made Magnolia a frilly Victorian dress that would not look out of place in Fallen London. The black trim on the dress is quite interesting, though.

When Auth finishes the dress, he takes a look at it. Both types of fabric are probably bright red, which reminds Auth of another valuable material from his home. Since the dress is prepared, Auth carefully folds it and puts it away to pass off to Magnolia in the morning.

Or if Magnolia asks in the middle of the night.

The other important overnight thing that comes to mind, for Auth, is a ship weapon. There are Fluke-Core Fragments in the inventory...

THE WRATH OF HEAVEN

Items Used: 1x Fluke Core Fragment, 5x Mental Cluster, 2x Cyan Diamonds, 1x Electrum Ingot

Auth uses that Fluke Core Fragment as the core of a large ship weapon. but the first thing Auth decides to do is prepare a bracket for the weapon itself. Auth melts down a strong metal bar, and as it melts, Auth begins to prepare a mould.

The mould, though... Auth needs to make the weapon so it can fit the weapon in place. Auth knows that the metal will take a while to melt down, so Auth picks up the Fluke Core Fragment. Auth then grabs a series of Mental Clusters. Auth puts the crystals together, into a five-piece crystalline base. Auth carefully places the Fragment in the middle of them all. It's a very precise setup, but it will lead to a powerful weapon.

Auth takes out two diamonds, forces them into dust, before carefully coating the crystal structure in the dust. When the diamond dust has neatly and evenly coated the diamond structure, it begins to glow purple. A bright purple. And the weapon is hot to the touch. Auth nods, that's just about what the weapon should look like.

Auth places the crystal megacluster into a clay block, at the base, to allow the weapon to form a cavity for a metal mold to form. Once it's big enough that Auth thinks he can make something out of it, Auth pulls out the prepared mold, and pours metal into it. Auth is careful, and direct, not to let any of the melted metal pour over him or anyone else. When it's completed, Auth puts the mold underwater, to let the metal cool quickly.

When Auth is finished, Auth pulls it out. It's a fairly complex bracket for the weapon. Auth places the crystal cluster within the bracket, and...

Well, it's heavy. Quite heavy. This isn't a shock. But it looks good!

Auth takes it outside, and whispers "fire" to it. It shoots out a huge ball of energy, and after about 100 meters, it explodes in a huge ball of energy and Correspondence. However... none of the trees are notably damaged. Looks like this will be an effective weapon, for what Auth intends it to do.

BATTLE

The Reflector spawns in at O15, moves to R16, and casts Mirror Image on Q16.

ROLEPLAY

@Plague126
Although I cannot see the stand, I applaud nonetheless.

"FRAN": Brava! Simply marvelous.
"FRAN": Maybe I should prick myself with that arrow and see what all the fuss is about.
"FRAN": If the Thymefield would allow for possessing two utterly unrelated, powerful traits, that is.
"FRAN": Also, I have no idea where it is or how I would obtain it.
"FRAN": Let's make it a quest, then, after the Spherebreaking is over! Rosemary and Fran's Bizarre Adventure.

@Ette
The Reflector bows to Ette dramatically.

THE REFLECTOR: mx. reflector, darling, although such titles are completely utterly unnecessary.
THE REFLECTOR: after all well the reflector is a title itself isn't it?
THE REFLECTOR: and to your question yes i can absolutely take the form of a beast a pet any creature imaginable really, although its density or toughness or strength may be weakened compromised in the case of larger forms. i cannot simply create matter after all!
THE REFLECTOR: that and the resident aura of this place seems to limit my abilities to some slight degree.
THE REFLECTOR: i believe, believe it is called the "thymefield."
THE REFLECTOR: i suppose the powers that be do not wish me to take up more tiles than is necessary!
THE REFLECTOR: but i must admit i find reflecting a being of such low intelligence to be drab quite uninteresting. the joys of reflection lie in embodying another's personality after all and we cannot make things too easy now can we?
THE REFLECTOR: alert me if you have, well, if you possess any suggestions, of a critical or creative nature, either really.
THE REFLECTOR: or perhaps you'd like to meet one of my colleagues? always an excellent fallback option.
THE REFLECTOR: after all they're part of me like no one else.

THIS IS AN INTERVENTION

It is the start of a new day, and as Marron begins to throw a few pieces of french toast onto a skillet, people begin to trickle into the kitchen. A few moments later, she completes a large batch of scrambled eggs, and sets it out on the table. One of the people to make their way in is Echoss, though it only takes a quick glance to realize that there's something wrong with him. He looks… ragged, almost. His clothes that were bright and rather colorful the day before have dulled, and look sort of worn. Likewise, his previously neat hair is in a state of light disarray, and his previously brilliant gold eyes are a dull yellow. Despite this, he still seems to be moving as quickly as ever.

ECHOSS: Good morning everyone, just checking in to make sure everyone's doing alright.
MARIA: Hello, Mister Echoss!
VENIA: I’m doing great myself, thanks.
CHLOE: I’m okay.
CHLOE: Could’ve slept better… but at least we weren’t raided like last night.

BOSHI: (Still half asleep from last night...)
VENIA: … Wait… Jeez, Echoss, you don’t look so hot yourself.
VENIA: Was the whole thing with Adria really bad? Did you need that shuteye?
VENIA: … Still can’t believe that she got confident enough to just barge in like that…

Echoss looks down at himself, apparently surprised at his appearance. He brushes his hands over himself and his clothes blur slightly before returning to a more pristine state. They still seem a little less vibrant though.

ECHOSS: Ah, no. There were a few other things I had to deal with as well.
ECHOSS: That being said, the thing controlling Miss Adria was expecting to be able to rely on extra powers that the thymefield blocked entirely.
ECHOSS: The crystal is… interesting. We've kept it contained but it's definitely… bah, now's not the time for that. It's not important anymore.
ECHOSS: I'm glad that most of you are doing alright.

VENIA: About the same here. Especially since we’re about to perform a frontal assault on the second-most guarded location in all of Locaa...
VENIA: I’d imagine the threat of us getting all four Glyphs might be enough to make the entire Chairian Airforce deploy to stop us.
VENIA: And fail.

CHLOE: I like that confidence!
CHLOE: Just don’t get ahead of yourself, alright?

A sleepy hat-wearing child walks in and yawns just as Marron finishes up the first few pieces of toast, heading over to the table and flipping them onto the other’s plates. She also places a shaker full of sugar upon the table, as well as a bottle of syrup.

SOPHIA: *yawn*... morning, everyone...
MARIA: Hi friend! We’re havin’ french toast.
SOPHIA: Ooh, I like french toast! Imma have some!
ECHOSS: Hello Miss Sophia, it's good to see you up and about again.
SOPHIA: Yeah, I’m feelin’ a lot better now!

At the other end of the room, Hexagon wakes up from their slumber, life returning to them as their eyes light up.
HEXAGON: GOOD MORNING.
MARIA: Good mornin’, lazy butt! You didn’t even notice me when I did my wake-up sing song!
VENIA: He must have a hell of a deep sleep function.
HEXAGON: DOES THE.. WAKE UP SING SONG CONSTITUTE AN EMERGENCY? I AM OBLIGATED TO AWAKEN DURING TIMES OF CRISIS.
BOSHI: (She couldn’t have woken Adria either… last I checked she was out like a light.)
HEXAGON: ...WHY IS THERE A DINOSAUR.

While the chatter goes on, Echoss makes his way over to the table and quietly takes a spare piece of toast, taking a small bite out of it as he makes his way back to the doorway.

VENIA: Where are you off to?
ECHOSS: Just to make my rounds of the morning to make sure everything's in order before we set off for the Skylabs.
VENIA: I guess it’s a futile gesture to try to get you to stick around and sit down for breakfast, then.
CHLOE: It’d be nice if you could stick around.
CHLOE: You’ve always been pushing yourself, so… it’d pay to take it easy, right?

MARRON: You better stick around. There’s more toast coming n’ junk.
ECHOSS: I'll… I'll make sure to come back soon then. It shouldn't take me too long if I hurry.

Echoss makes his way out of the kitchen, though faster than he was moving before. He does seem to intend to be back quickly.

CHLOE: Aw…
CHLOE: It would’ve been nice to have him stick around.

Moments after Echoss’s departure, Omorika strides into the room, followed by a clearly sleep deprived Chara. Omorika grabs a slice of toast, gently placing it on her plate before taking a seat near Chloe. Hexagon glances at the newcomers.

HEXAGON: THE ONE WITH NIGHTMARES, AND THE..
HEXAGON: UNKNOWN. A CHILD?

CHARA: I am literally able to call you that and will not hesitate to do so.
OMORIKA: ...Surely there’s more to me than my nightmares?
HEXAGON: I LACK MUCH INFORMATION ON BOTH OF YOU.
CHARA: Alright then, time to learn. Hi, I’m Chara, I might be an alcoholic, I am definitely starving, and I am fluent in seven ways of kicking your ass.
CHARA: Or my ass.
CHARA: Basically fear me or something.

CHLOE: C’mon, Chara. Play nice.
CHARA: ...fine. Sorry, geometrical shape person #3.

Further conversation is interrupted by crackling sparks and a puff of purple smoke a foot or two above the kitchen table. A tiny portal rips open, and a small green hummingbird, slightly translucent the way Echoss' butterflies are, flies through the portal which closes shortly afterwards.

MARIA: Birdie! Birdie! Glowy birdie, Venny! It’s pretty!
VENIA: Now what’s this all about…?
CHLOE: H-Huh?
HEXAGON: IS IT A THREAT?
CHARA: Jade is invading us. Just like in the Bible. Dinosaur, grab the shotgun S T A T
BOSHI: (...No, this might be something important… notice the translucence of the bird?)
OMORIKA: It strikes me as reminiscent of Echoss’s own butterflies. Curious.
HEXAGON: YOU HAVE A SHOT-
HEXAGON: ..NO, NEVERMIND. IGNORING YOUR FIREARM OWNERSHIP, YES. IT RESEMBLES THE AVATARS OF ECHOSS.

CHARA: So who is it now, his… spouse? Sibling? Ex? Please don’t let it be an ex. It’s the worst letter of the alphabet.
???: Sorry, sorry, just give me a moment folks, thymefield is interfering with my connection a bit… the distance probably doesn't help either...
HEXAGON: IDENTIFY YOURSELF.
BOSHI: (Now, now, give them some time, would you?)
MARRON: If you’re here to mess with my breakfast, I will gut you.
CHLOE: M-Marron!

Abruptly the hummingbird shifts, and becomes a small hologram figure of the same color. It details a somewhat short man apparently in his 20s. A close look would reveal pointed ears, but he's still hovering over the table so chances are most of those present can't see that.

???: There we go. Hello Spherebreakers. Sorry to interrupt your breakfast like this, I… need to ask for your help with something.
HEXAGON: FOR WHAT PROBLEM DO YOU NEED THE SPHEREBREAKERS FOR?
???: Keeping Echoss from running himself into the ground.
BOSHI: (That might be hard… he’s… very insistent on keeping busy.)
BOSHI: (...Wait, who are you again?)

VENIA: I presume you’re a member of the collective?
CHLOE:... A friend, perhaps?
MARIA: He’s a birdie person. Birdie birdie birdie.
???: Ah, yes, sorry. My name is Terrence Goldfinch.
TERRENCE: Officially, I am the Echo Collective's "Chief Executive of Interdepartmental Relations."
TERRENCE: Unofficially… I'm Echoss's minder.

HEXAGON: A POLITICIAN, THEN?
CHLOE: Um… what’s a minder?
CHLOE: I’ve never heard of such a thing.

VENIA: A ‘minder’ is someone who looks after someone or something else and takes care of them.
VENIA: Kind of like a butler except usually a lot more unofficial.
VENIA: So, let’s cut to the chase… How bad is it?

TERRENCE: The absolute worst I've seen him get since I took my position.
TERRENCE: He hasn't slept in weeks and with all the extra work he's been doing lately…
TERRENCE: He has this… mantra. Mutters it sometimes when he's overworking himself too much. Usually just his main projection node, but that's been here on Sussui for any of the time we haven't been forced to throw time dilations up…
TERRENCE: Thing is, he's started saying it with his other nodes every so often if he stops focusing on them for too long. Even had a couple people mention weirdness from his butterflies which usually stay pretty stable even when he's not doing well.

CHLOE: A mantra? What’s he saying?
MARRON: I’m pretty sure I heard him whisper something to himself a few times. Never really caught it, though...
BOSHI: (I remember hearing something of the sort sometimes too.)
TERRENCE: "There's much to do and…" and something else. He always gets too quiet to hear before he says the second half. Even around me, and I'm the closest thing he's had to a friend before coming to Sussui.
TERRENCE: Least, since the Founder's Cataclysm.

Boshi raises an eyebrow.

BOSHI: (...Founder’s Cataclysm?)
MARRON: Sounds like exposition to me.
OMORIKA: Please explain.
TERRENCE: ...oh boy…
TERRENCE: Before I give you all a history lesson on the Echo Collective, how much has Echoss told you guys about himself?
TERRENCE: He… is not very quick to trust, he's had bad experiences with opening up to others and doesn't do it very quickly anymore. He seems to trust at least some of the people here a lot more than usual but…
TERRENCE: Even after a few hundred years I don't know him well enough to say what he would or wouldn't have told you.

CHLOE: He’s told me that he’s the…
CHLOE: U-Um, nevermind!

VENIA: He’s come clean, at least, about the collective itself, but not his role in it.
VENIA: I doubt he’s a ‘collector,’ and if I had any thoughts contrary, your own title has scrubbed them from my mind.
VENIA: I trust this Founder’s Cataclysm is to blame for that…

HEXAGON: MUCH TO DO…
CHLOE: “...and sins to atone for.”
CHLOE: ...Huh? Where’d that come from?
CHLOE: I swear I’ve heard it before. I’m… not sure when, but I’m sure that’s the latter bit.

Terrence freezes when Chloe says the other half. He looks at her.

TERRENCE: That… that would explain a lot, yes. And I think I know where you might have picked it up too…
TERRENCE: I guess I'll try and start from the beginning.
TERRENCE: Echoss Ravenstar, despite preferring the title of collector… well, his official title, which he avoids using most of the time, is 'supreme executive overseer'. He is the single highest authority in the Echo Collective, anywhere.
TERRENCE: His duties are myriad, but generally what he does day to day is oversee security, smooth out interdepartmental fiascos, and investigate and remove corruption and bureaucratic bloat.
TERRENCE: He'd also probably be something of a patron deity if he hadn't explicitly banned any form of worship of political figures in the Collective.

VENIA: Sounds more and more like me every second…
CHARA: …
CHARA: Is. Is his last name legitimately Ravenstar. Did he choose that himself.

VENIA: Doubt it, you little snark machine.
CHARA: Careful not to cut your own tongue on those barbs. Would be uncomfortable to kiss your depresso friend with.
CHLOE: I-It sounds cool!
TERRENCE: As I understand it, he has the name 'Ravenstar' because he took his wife's last name when they got married in his home universe.
TERRENCE: I would recommend not bringing up it sounding 'sue-ish' around him too much, I don't know the whole story on it, but his home universe was, prior to whatever ejected Echo and Echoss from it, apparently a, and I'm quoting Echoss directly when I say this, "very poorly written fan fiction."

VENIA: Oh, dear. He’s from one of those worlds.
VENIA: It’s always trouble from there, I’ve heard. Seen only once.
VENIA: Could imagine why he doesn’t like it easily.

MARRON: ...Oh GOD. Poor thing.
MARRON: And here I am, a-actually feeling sorry for the poor...

BOSHI: (Mm, heard about them before, wouldn’t want to live in one...)
CHARA: Indeed, poor lad. My sincerest condolences go out to him.
HEXAGON: I WILL MAKE SURE TO GIVE HIM MY CONDOLENCES.
VENIA: Oh, now that you bring it up, I do think he mentioned that one ‘Echo Ravenstar’ founded the whole collective to begin with.
VENIA: He did not, key, say that she was his wife.

TERRENCE: That doesn't surprise me. People I've spoken to from around that time say that the two weren't as close as a couple of that age usually is.
TERRENCE: They got along okay, but it was never… more than 'okay'.
TERRENCE: I should note, however, that Echo was not the only founder.
TERRENCE: There were seventeen individuals in total, of which Echoss is the only member still part of the ruling process.

HEXAGON: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHERS? AND WHAT SINS MUST HE ATONE FOR?
VENIA: My preemptive guess is that it has to deal with the “Founder’s Cataclysm,” given the name and that he’s the only apparent survivor.
CHARA: I can’t be the only one getting the feeling that a feud for power happened, can I? Don’t tell me our friend Flutternotshy killed the other sixteen.
CHLOE: C-Chara, you should try and be a bit more sensitive towards our guest!
CHLOE: You might be putting them off...

CHARA: Our guest is a shortstack elf who wants us to babysit a self-unproclaimed deity. If a little theorising throws him off, you can just go ahead and feed me to <0>.
HEXAGON: THE BIRD SAID ONLY ECHOSS REMAINS RULING. NOTHING IMPLYING THE OTHERS ARE DEAD.

Sophia seems content with listening to the story, hopping up on the table (away from the food) and lying on her belly, watching and listening silently.

TERRENCE: It does have to deal with the Founder's Cataclysm. Echoss was not the only survivor but…
TERRENCE: Well, one of them is running a large terrorist cell on the fringes of the Collective, and the other has been in a vegetative state with advanced soul fray since the event happened.
TERRENCE: A long time ago, a few hundred years before I was born even, something, even now nobody really knows, happened, and Echoss was possessed by a demon of astronomically high power.
TERRENCE: Utilizing its own strength and the also quite unbelievable power Echoss himself has at his disposal, it went on a rampage. Carving its way through buildings to claim "valuables" and consume any people that stood in its path.
TERRENCE: It took a very large chunk of the military force combined with the full skill and ability of the founders to bind the demon and restore Echoss to sanity.
TERRENCE: It took decades to repair the damage done, and… all of the founders bar the three still living were killed with enough excess force that reviving them wasn't an option.
TERRENCE: Getting Echoss to stay asleep still requires excessive mental process dampening to keep him from being able to dream, otherwise he wakes up screaming. Sometimes within minutes.

CHLOE: Oh, lord...

Boshi ponders this information for a bit… then suddenly realizes something.

BOSHI: (...Wait… that sounds strangely familiar...)
BOSHI: (...Probably a coincidence.)

VENIA: Anyone who ever said that is wrong half the time, I swear. What’s it remind you of?
BOSHI: (I noticed Echoss’s eyes flaring up while talking to Adria while she was possessed by that… crystal thing.)
BOSHI: (That… explains a lot.)

VENIA: I guess he would have strong feelings on it… Hrm…
CHARA: So basically, I’m a prophet. Okay, next off, do you mind me asking you a potentially intrusive question?
CHARA: You may not think of me as the most trustworthy person, but I won’t do you any harm..

TERRENCE: No offence but your track record in this conversation alone is not particularly stellar, let alone what else you're known for whatever Chara iteration you happen to be.
CHARA: That “else” being saving a child from getting murdered by misguided monsters and helping them liberate an unjustly imprisoned species? I’ve heard of weird laws, including charity being an offense, but this is quite the step up.

Chloe’s hands fidget together.

CHLOE: S-So… d-do we know if the demon is gone?
CHLOE: And… is there anything we can do to help him?
CHLOE: He can’t sleep. He must be haunted by… so many things. The loss of his wife, the e-events of the c-cataclysm...
CHLOE: H-How could we help?

OMORIKA: ...A familiar ailment.
OMORIKA: If I was able to solve my own problems, I’d certainly help him now.

TERRENCE: It's been something like a thousand years since the Cataclysm, if the demon were going to resurface it probably would have.
TERRENCE: I feel confident in saying the thing was properly destroyed in the fight.

HEXAGON: AND WHERE IS ECHOSS NOW?
VENIA: He said he just left to do some last-minute checkups.
TERRENCE: He probably is then. He works pretty hard to keep himself occupied or at least doing things he feels are of worth.
HEXAGON: AND WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO WITH HIM? I
TERRENCE: One of two things. Either help me convince him to try and sleep properly, or put his avatar here on Sussui to sleep forcefully somehow.

Venia blinks, and sits up a little straighter.

VENIA: Ah. I just remembered something. Ah, when me and Echoss got into a fight earlier, uh.
VENIA: He got… ‘Loomy,’ I guess? He darkened the area around him and got somewhat larger. He kind of fizzled out shortly thereafter, though.
VENIA: I heard Marron had to experience that as well, right?

MARRON: I did, actually.
MARRON: Kid has some anger issues.

MARIA: I saw too! It was scary! I hid behind the couch.
TERRENCE: Oh…
TERRENCE: That... He didn't mention that.
TERRENCE: He… doesn't really do that on accident, normally. It's an auditory-visual effect baked into his personal variant of the avatar matrix setup spell. He…
TERRENCE: If he's been doing poorly enough to use that on something like this…
TERRENCE: I guess it shouldn't surprise me based on how things have been back home though.

HEXAGON: ILLUSIONS TO INTIMIDATE US. HE’S LIKELY UNSTABLE, FROM THE LACK OF SLEEP. WILL HE POSE A THREAT TO THE PARTY IF HE CONTINUES TO DETERIORATE?
TERRENCE: I highly doubt it. It took some coaxing to keep him from freezing up after his argument with Miss Needleworker, I think he'd be more likely to leave Sussui first if things got that bad.
VENIA: And his eyes flared up when he looked at the possession-inducing crystal…
VENIA: … Is it one of those especially patient demons that like lives for an eternity…? Is it actually a demon at all? Did Echoss inadvertently meet a former victim…?

Terrence thinks for a moment.

TERRENCE: I… guess I don't have a certain answer to any of those things.
TERRENCE: He's been thoroughly scanned for foreign influences, so if the demon is still around it's not in Echoss anymore.

VENIA: Or it’s always been in him…
VENIA: ...But that’s honestly all just speculation, with a side of projection. Lord knows it doesn’t take total cognitive hijacking to cause devastation.
VENIA: And victims of such an event would likely think of themselves as personally responsible in some way…

OMORIKA: Perhaps. Although, I feel that Echoss would know such things, yes?
VENIA: He would. And I think he wouldn’t be quick to talk about it, given we had to be told from a second hand source.
HEXAGON: SO WE SHOULD PROVIDE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
TERRENCE: Ideally we put him to sleep now, before you all leave for the labs.
TERRENCE: I don't know how long my connection through the thymefield will last, I'm not nearly as good at these avatars as Echoss is and the thymefield makes things immensely difficult.
TERRENCE: I need to be able to coordinate the group back in the Collective so that we can get Echoss to his sleeping pod in time if you guys have to put him to sleep forcefully.

HEXAGON: IF IT COMES TO IT.. WHAT SEDATIVES DO WE HAVE ON HAND?
VENIA: … I do have a theoretical method. If it comes to it-I could exploit his multiple projections in a psionic attack. Between that and the Thyme Field… Well, it might work.
VENIA: Depends on how it functions, but, ah, uh, it wasn’t very popular in my time and place to have so many projections for precisely those little loopholes…

With a resigned sigh, Chara straightens in their chair, the last traces of their weariness dissipating from all the noise. Then, they speak out a single, remarkably cold word.

CHARA: Stop.

Satisfied with the dramatic effect, they continue, for it would immediately dissipate should anyone care enough to disobey the request.

CHARA: You’ve been saying a lot about the Collective, and Echoss, and what we must do at all costs. But you have missed a single, crucial streak.
CHARA: What evidence do you have to your credibility? How do we know that knocking the butterfly boy out won’t make him become possessed by the demon again, who turns out to never have died? Do you even have anything confirming your identity? You could be that terrorist cell leader you mentioned mere minutes ago, for all anyone knows.

HEXAGON: THAT IS A. GOOD POINT.
TERRENCE: That's a fair point. Unfortunately I can't bring official identification from back home thanks to physical limitations.
TERRENCE: Fortunately, there's someone here on Sussui who would be able to vouch for my authenticity. Echoss.
TERRENCE: I'm literally pestering him to get some rest in person over in the Collective right now, I think his reaction to me being here when he comes back in will be sufficient.

VENIA: Sounds like a decent test. Maria, could you be a dear?
MARIA: I can be a deer, but I don’t know deer noises.
VENIA: Oh, little muffin’s being a little jokester today, hrm? Can you go and get Echoss for us?
CHLOE: I’ll do it-

Before Maria or Chloe could stand up, the universe reminded everyone that it fancies itself a comedian. The door to the kitchen creaked open, with Echoss walking through it.

CHARA: Well then. Sound the fanfare. I concede my point, I suppose.
ECHOSS: Alright, I'm back no-

Echoss looks up, sees the Terrence hologram, which crosses its arms looking at Echoss. Echoss's eyes blur for a second.

ECHOSS: ...Terrence aren't you…
ECHOSS: oh.

TERRENCE: I'm sorry, but really. You need to rest.
VENIA: I take it that his claims to acquaintanceship are not entire fabrications, then, Echoss?
VENIA: Really, I’ve been concerned about your general state either way.

MARRON: This is an intervention!
MARRON: Apparently!

HEXAGON: MR. RAVENSTAR, YOUR FELLOW SPHEREBREAKERS ARE WORRIED ABOUT YOU.
CHLOE: Y-Yeah...
BOSHI: (Mm… the amount of time you’ve spent up and about can’t be healthy at all...)

Sophia looks over at Echoss, tilting her head and giving him the puppy-dog eyes. Echoss takes a step backwards. Parts of him start to blur and unblur.

ECHOSS: I… I can't. I...
HEXAGON: YES, YOU CAN. WE WILL SEDATE YOU IF NEEDED BUT. YOUR FRIENDS DON’T WANT TO HAVE TO DO IT.
SOPHIA: P-please, just… take a small nap?
CHARA: I’m the last person you want to be hearing this from, but…
CHARA: Come on. Everyone’s worried about you, you clearly can’t even remotely function like this.
CHARA: What exactly are you afraid of?

Echoss staggers back a bit more, nearly falling over when his leg splinters slightly and nearly comes apart into butterflies underneath him. He gets it back together, but the rest of him blurs for a second or two as he does.

MARIA: Mister, you’re scaring me!
OMORIKA: It’s about time you took a break, sir Echoss.
OMORIKA: I can assure you, everyone will be fine.

CHLOE: E-Echoss, you’re worrying me so much...

Another face peeks out from behind the door frame. It’s Dorothy, and she’s looking at Echoss with an extreme amount of worry.

DOROTHY: P-please get s-some rest, mister Echoss… s-sleep is really important...

Terrence's hologram has gently drifted over to Venia.

TERRENCE: There's not like… any side effects to your 'trick' is there?
VENIA: not in and of itself, no, but i’d check for side effects anyways if his physiology is markedly different from human like i’m expecting. I only need one thing, how many avatars does he have active right now?
TERRENCE: Here or on Sussui? As far as I know this is the only full avatar active on Sussui, and the butterflies and worker drones aren't connected enough for psychic assaults to relay through as effectively.
VENIA: that’s what you think, but just in case…

Venia stands up out of her chair entirely.

VENIA: Echoss, are you going to let yourself take a rest or do we need to resort to force?

Echoss doesn't respond to her verbally. He stares at her for a second with flickering eyes, and then starts to scatter outwards.

Venia’s eyes roll like the whole affair was a terrible gag. Not even a second later, Echoss’s whole avatar flashes cool blue for naught but a second. The exposed butterflies break up, leaving a few holes in the projection-but what’s left falls flat on the floor face-first. The holes in the projection slowly patch up, leaving Echoss lying on the floor. Not quite peacefully, but at least asleep.

Venia calmly walks over to the fallen Echoss and squats down, eyeing him up. Chloe follows behind Venia in a panic, knocking over the chair she was on moments prior. Maria, after a moment, also follows suit, confusion and curiosity written on her face.

CHARA: …
CHARA: Please tell me this was supposed to happen.

CHLOE: I-Is he okay!?
TERRENCE: It worked, if she'd screwed it up his main avatar would've broken up too.
TERRENCE: We're getting him asleep in the Collective now too, he'll be out on both ends in a few seconds.

VENIA: Happy to be of service.

Maria immediately begins poking Echoss.

MARIA: Poke poke poke poke poke poke poke poke poke!
VENIA: Maria, don’t poke him, he’s sleeping!
SOPHIA: He… really needs it too, so, um… don’t wake him.
CHARA: I wonder if he’s dreaming of anything. What do you think it would be?
CHLOE: Hopefully, it’s something peaceful...
OMORIKA: Based on what Terrence has told us… I have my doubts, unfortunately.
OMORIKA: Still, we can hope.

CHARA: . . .
CHARA: This might be misplaced, but…
CHARA: I could go ahead and visit them. His dreams. See if they need any… fixing.
CHARA: Would that be a violation of privacy? Or is his wellbeing more important?

VENIA: Traditionally it's a fair call to get a manhunt on you for doing that uninvited. I wouldn’t recommend it without his express permission.
VENIA: Or, given the circumstances, Terrance’s express permission.

TERRENCE: I don't think that would be wise.
TERRENCE: It has… historically gone very very poorly.

CHARA: I see. I also see that I should really, really find a therapist to bring here. Yeah, those still exist. Who would’ve thought.

Terrence shifts back into hummingbird form to move over to everyone else more effectively. It muffles his voice a bit, but he's hearable this time.

TERRENCE: Do you have any available rooms in the basement?
TERRENCE: And also is there any softer rope available.
TERRENCE: He will almost certainly need to be tied down at least a bit to keep him from waking himself up by thrashing, and it probably wouldn't be smart to put him in a common room either.

CHLOE: Well, I can offer mine up.
CHLOE: I won’t be using it while I’m at the labs, so… I think he needs it more right now.

TERRENCE: That will work, we'll turn on a minor time dilation so that he can be awake again in a reasonable time-frame.
TERRENCE: He'll probably be sleeping for a few days on our end. It's more mental stuff for him than physical, so he'll be okay once he's back on his feet.

HEXAGON: HOW WILL WE AID HIM UPON HIS AWAKENING? THERAPY WOULD BE BEST, BUT HE IS ON A ALIEN PLANET.
TERRENCE: We'll definitely be trying to get him to actually go to therapy again after this.
TERRENCE: He puts up enough of a fight about it, and he's handled things well enough up until now that we were never actually able to keep him there long term in the past.
TERRENCE: Sometimes it's hard to help people when you don't have the power or authority to make them take those steps…
TERRENCE: We need to do better though, more things are riding on his mental wellness than just him.
TERRENCE: We should get him down there.

BOSHI: (Right.)

Boshi gets up, and gently picks Echoss up onto his saddle.

BOSHI: (Be seeing you.)

He walks downstairs to drop Echoss off in Chloe’s room. Terrence follows with, just to make sure everything is okay on the way down. Chloe too, tags along, keeping pace with Boshi. And with that, a silence befalls everyone left behind.

CHARA: So uh.
CHARA: Anyone see a 31 sided die laying around the house?

MARRON: Nope.
MARRON: ...How is that the only thing on your mind right now?

CHARA: You’d understand if you had a similar die to dictate what you even are on a fundamental level.
CHARA: But that’s alright. I’ll just have to make a replacement.
CHARA: Well, the rest of you, enjoy breakfast if you decide to continue it even after all this. I’m gonna go probably disappear and/or be useless for some time. Toodles.

And with that, they exit stage left.

Down in the basement, Boshi, Chloe, and Terrence arrive at Chloe's room. Boshi moves Echoss onto the bed, and backs away a little, making sure everything is alright.

TERRENCE: Do you have anything to tie him down with? Shouldn't need to be too strong, but he needs something to keep him from thrashing in his sleep.
CHLOE: Maybe we have some of those Sentence ropes lying around.
CHLOE: They’re made of feathers, and also decently strong. It should work.

BOSHI: (A little morbid, though… but I guess the other option is to get Sophie to make something out of spider silk. That stuff’s decently soft too.)
TERRENCE: Either would work, probably. I'd say whichever is faster, he's already starting to shift a bit.

Echoss' mouth moves silently every so often, accompanied by small twitches or shifts in his position.

BOSHI: (Feather Rope it is, then. The silk would take too long.)

He pulls out three coils of them, and begins tying Echoss down, making sure not to accidentally have the ropes catch on anything.

TERRENCE: Thank you. I really appreciate the help.
TERRENCE: Echoss doesn't have enough people looking out for him for his own sake.

BOSHI: (Hey, no problem. Least I could do for him after the help last night.)
CHLOE: If it helps… I’ll look after him.
CHLOE: He needs someone to look over him, and to make sure he doesn’t push himself too hard.

Eventually Echoss was completely tied down. Boshi backs away once more.

TERRENCE: Master Boshi, before I go could I have a quick private word with Miss Elem?
BOSHI: (...Alright.)
CHLOE: Hm? Alright.

Once Boshi exits the room, Terrence transforms back into a hologram, and looks at Chloe.

TERRENCE: Miss Elem…
TERRENCE: About Echoss.
TERRENCE: Be careful with him, okay?

CHLOE: H-Huh? How come?
TERRENCE: He doesn't really open up to people very much any more, as was demonstrated back in the kitchen.
TERRENCE: He hasn't really started trusting anyone in… a very, very long time.
TERRENCE: He's lonely, it's been hundreds of years since he's last properly considered someone his friend, and for better or worse you're the first real exception he's decided to make in that time.
TERRENCE: You have his heart in your hands in a way that I don't think even he realizes yet.

CHLOE: W-What do you mean b-by-
TERRENCE: Sorry, sorry, I just mean…
TERRENCE: Be a good friend to him, if you can.
TERRENCE: He needs friends. Not just confidates or advisors or minders. Friends.
TERRENCE: I… I know that that's a lot of pressure to put on someone, especially someone as young as you. But there's literally no one else I can ask this, and may not be again for a very long while.

CHLOE: I’ll… I’ll be there for him.
CHLOE: He’s a kind guy who deserves companionship, and… w-well… I like him.
CHLOE: A-As a friend, of course.
CHLOE: You have my word.

TERRENCE: Thank you.
TERRENCE: I'm sorry you've had so much thrown at you by surprise these past few days.
TERRENCE: I would expect it's very stressful for you, but from what Echoss has told me you're doing extremely well in spite of it all.
TERRENCE: It has been a pleasure and an honor to meet you, good luck. Maybe someday we'll have the opportunity to talk for real, under less stressful circumstances.

CHLOE: It’s been nice to meet you as well.
CHLOE: And… thank you for putting your trust in me.
CHLOE: I won’t let you or Echoss down.

Terrence nods, and his hologram fades away, leaving Chloe alone in the room.

Note to ire: the note on Echoss' tile in the house following this should read:
"Currently asleep, twisting and shifting against the ropes holding him down. Every so often he starts crying or screaming before falling silent again."

Asha joins anywhere and moves to N16. After Marron joins and Fury's her (along with whatever else she does), she uses Alter Reality on Empowered before casting Foresight on herself and Marron.

Note that both Fury and Foresight have their costs reduced by the Heart Bracelet.

<ROUND 230>

First, a few stat things.

small stat stack
Nidra: With 1 of each Elemental Cluster, (+30 Crafting Credits for the missing types), as well as let's say... 2 Sanctified Alloy, the Stuffed Koala is upgraded to do even more stuff. Also, 2 Bottled Dreams and 2 Spiralfloof Floofballs are used to improve the Sheep Counter. These are both equipped.
Hexagon: Wings of Bifrost made with a vial of Amphi Aura Extract, 2 Skyscales, 8 Silverwood Logs, 2 Tornadopetals, 2 Gravcore Ore, and 5 Yellow Sap Blobs. Equipped!
Nerumi: Perks rotated.
Daskter: Soul Key eaten! Tastes like deadly neurotoxin. Anyway, your trait is now Level 3... but I don't know what you want, so -5% Smoke Cover cost, +5% MHP, and +2 Armorpierce? That seems like a nice little bundle of stuff.

JOE freaks the heck out. His farm has been destroyed. It's probably clear how it happened: missile bombardment from the Mechonis (mechonii?) and the Vedfolnir. It'd take an unreasonable amount of Illusionary Traps to destroy a Mechonis, and even more to take out two.

Anyway, JOE runs through The Way Forward, cobbling together 20 SP, a Chairian Phone, a single Shock Crystal, and 10 (0) Wire Scraps to create something to track the Vedfolnir. The soldier runs out towards the craft. While yes, the craft is flying (and therefore impossibly hard to track on foot), we'll assume it's capable of ninja-jumping from tree to tree or whatever. JOE then runs right into the Farm Ruins, at the Cavern Entryway. He immediatley jumps the Rebel group there!

REBEL 1: OH GOD
REBEL 1: IT'S HIM: THAT MANIAC AT THE FARM
REBEL 2: The guy who's been observed to have been constantly fortifying the farm's position.
REBEL 2: I believe it'd be best to... eliminate him.
REBEL 2: Give me a second. Help should be on the way.

He whips out a radio, punctually informing someone about his current position. The sound of jets grows louder as the two Mechonis that originally sieged the farm fly into view. Fortunately(?) for him, the Vedfolnir didn't follow.

This... might not end well.

- = S T R I F E ? ? ? = -

As per the usual battle rules, JOE fails to take actions before entering combat. I really hope you have a plan, because those Mechonis will not mess around. They're also quick enough to chase you down if you attempt to run. Don't die!

Boshi, Sophia, Dorothy, and Hannah all do things! After a quick breakfast of french toast, the gang sets out to do various chores!

At Zone 1, Boshi bodies a bunch of Sentences with a golf club. All of the sentences in the area are killed through blunt force, which probably doesn't make sense because they're ropes. Nonetheless, they're all killed. Boshi shoves their bodies into the inventory, obtaining 4 Feather Rope Coils. Also, with all of the Sentences dead, Boshi's free to loot the chest. Pop! Inside appears to be some mining supplies. Nothing too interesting... but those sharpening kits look like they might be nice for combat.
  • x10 Searing Powder
  • x3 Mortar Shells
  • x2 Pickaxe Sharpening Kit (Consumable)
In Zone 2, Sophia attempts to take a Corpsetaker, dropping a corpse down towards them. While someone might be disgusted at this blatant disrespect of the dead, the Corpsetaker quickly takes the body, stitching them into a Reclaimed. With that, the beast seems to be at least the slightest bit pacified. Perhaps they'll come with you now.

In Zone 3, Dorothy smacks the drunken Bladedancer. This seems to be enough to snap them out of their drunken love for Hemlock.

BLADEDANCER: H-Huh?
BLADEDANCER: Ow...

HEMLOCK: Oh, that seemed to do the trick.
HEMLOCK: Anyway.

HEMLOCK: Carrot.
HEMLOCK: I've told you before. I'm not interested in you.
HEMLOCK: If you want to try going on a date or something, at least wait until AFTER our duties are relieved.

CARROT: O-Okay. Sorry.

Sheepishly, Carrot returns to her booth. It seems that the effects of the booze she's had are beginning to wear off, and she slips into a hungover state. Hemlock nods towards Dorothy.

HEMLOCK: Thank you, small one.
HEMLOCK: You must be one of the Spherebreakers.
HEMLOCK: I'm not quite sure what business you have here, but go on ahead.
HEMLOCK: You've done us a great deed. We won't tell anyone.

With that out of the way, Dorothy proceeds into the gardens, and flashes the Grey Card at the Chimes. It's teleported into the inventory! She then tugs around a picnic blanket, and takes a nice rest at the Garden Altar. If only she had brought her breakfast here...

Finally, down in the Everground, Hannah wakes up from her nap. This fully restores her HP! She then climbs up the chain to the island up there. The process is incredibly strenuous, the Curse dealing (10) damage to her just from that one climb. She then shaves off enough Gravcore and Rock to plummet down to the large island below, taking 12 units of Gravcore Ore from the island.

Once it touches down, and she's replaced some of the bottom of the island with iron plating, she sets up a lever with 10 (0) Wire Scraps, 3 (0) Circuit Boards, 1 Titanium Ingot, 3 Shock Crystals, and a CPU. This turns the island into an elevator of sorts. How handy! Using this also wouldn't be strenuous, making ascents potentially less painful. How handy!

Echoss investigates a Rebel intrusion. He grabs the body of the highly injured rebel, and leaps through the portal as a swarm of butterflies, bowling the lone Rebel on the other side of the portal over. As they recover, Echoss takes a moment to revive his ally with the Shock Therapist, jolting them back to life. He asks if they have an escape plan. The non-injured rebel speaks up.

REBEL: H-Hey, I'm just a scout, man!
REBEL: We were told to investigate the goings on at the Gardens, and then we found this... thing.
REBEL: We'll just... be on our way, if that's fine with you.
REBEL: We cut a hole in the fence. We'll be leaving the same way we entered.

They prepare to leave, the uninjured Rebel already tending to their friend's wounds. Echoss also picks up the Beta Rune, whilst also leaving through it. He re-emerges in the basement of the house, checking up on Linseed. He thanks Maple for her service. She salutes, before stepping back to allow Echoss to talk with the prisoner. Though he attempts to talk with Linseed, he gets no response out of him. At all. With no luck on that end, Echoss turns to Maple, asking about food allergies. She shakes her head.

MAPLE: I have no idea what you're talking about so... probably not?
MAPLE: Is that something people like Chloe can have?
MAPLE: Y'know, I've never really given it much thought, but humans and Chairians are probably really different.
MAPLE: After the Sphere's gone, I wonder if it'd somehow be possible to adopt our customs to allow for alien species to live here easier?
MAPLE: What I'm saying is, it'd be fun to have you guys visit the city. It's a nice place when it's not a military compound.

As Echoss continues to stand at the door, he decides to spend a bit of his time unwrapping a present from Chaos. Rip. Tear. Inside, he finds... another, smaller box. He rips this open, finding another smaller box. This goes on for at least four more layers, until he finally finds a Tier 6 Santa Hat! Looks like it aged pretty well while in the box. Like a fine wine. Which raises questions about the hat's composition, but oh well.

Finally, to wrap up the turn, Echoss commissions his golems to loot 10 Red Sap Blobs and 2 Fragapples from just south of the House. Maybe he could combine the two items to make a healing grenade. Actually, that sounds dangerous. Maybe don't do that.

Bauhaus asks about breakfast. Marron responds by lobbing a piece of French Toast at him. It's painful, but also delicious.

Rosemary summons her stand! Omorika raises an eyebrow at her as she summons it.

OMORIKA: Miss... Rosemary, was it? Greetings.
OMORIKA: What are you doing, exactly?
OMORIKA: I don't see this "Joykiller" you speak of.
OMORIKA: Am I missing something?

To Omorika, Rosemary looks pretty silly just randomly yelling "FINIFINIFINI" at her foes.

Venia wakes up, thanks to Maria's singing. Her "heavenly" melody jolts Nia awake, causing her to roll off of Venia and off the bed. She smacks into the ground, a bit dazed. A few seconds later, she shakes off the dizziness, and stands up, giggling.

NIA: H-Hiya, Maria! Good morning!
NIA: Had a good night's sleep...?
NIA: I sure did~

Nia helps Venia out of bed, nuzzling up with her once they're both standing.

NIA: That was nice last night, Venia~
NIA: Guess we have a long day ahead of us, though.
NIA: Y'know, I've never been on a plane before. Or an airship, for that matter.
NIA: Can't wait for our maiden voyage!

After a quick kiss, the two get dressed, and head out for the morning. Downstairs, Maria sneaks up on Ette, asking what she's doing today. Ette turns, and gives Maria a headpat + headrub combo.

ETTE: Hi hi! It's my birthday today!
ETTE: I smell something really good in the kitchen, and I wanna see what it is!
ETTE: Marron's being real secretive though, so I'm being sneaky so I can-

MARRON: Ette!

Marron is standing in the doorway, a metal, dome-covered dish in hand. She hands it to Ette.

MARRON: Thanks for the distraction, Maria.
MARRON: I was able to pack it up thanks to you.

MARRON: Anyway, Ette! Here's your special birthday breakfast!
MARRON: Dig in!

ETTE: Ooh! Thanks, sis!
ETTE: I dunno what's in here, but I bet it's really-

Ette lifts the cover off of the dish. A golden-brown cinnamon roll sits upon the platter, lathered with icing. Ette's eyes light up and sparkle, giving her a +5 to Anime.

ETTE: W-Wow! It's beauitful!
ETTE: Can I dig in?

MARRON: Obviously. Enjoy!
ETTE: Hurray! Thank you!

Ette runs into the kitchen, placing the platter down on the table. Fork and knife in hand, she slowly yet systematically destroys the cinnamon bun, savoring the sweetness in every bite. Once she's polished off most of the roll, Marron sneaks up to the ex-puppet, giving her a tight hug.

MARRON: Happy birthday, sis!
MARRON: I'll give you something else later today. I just haven't had much time to work on it.
MARRON: Look forward to it, okay?

ETTE: Okay!

After their brief embrace, Marron steps back towards the oven where her current breakfast project lies. Venia also heads off to the Old Pass, moving to deliver the Grey Chimes to Droplet. This is interrupted by some Rebels having the nerve to face off against Droplet. Venia greets the peturbed Eliti. She sighs.

DROPLET: Oh. It's you.
DROPLET: Hurray. The day just gets better.

...Yume floats towards Venia, and pats her on the head. Fortunately for Droplet, her day actually is improved, as Venia talks the Rebels down. Their already shaken morale, combined with Venia's warning, is enough to get them to flee the area, injured companion in tow. With them out of the way, Yume calms down, floating back up to her perch in the tower. Sighing, Droplet twirls her scythe in a flourish that stores it on her back.

DROPLET: Huh, wow.
DROPLET: They actually ran off.
DROPLET: You must have a reputation, scaring them off like that. Can't say I'm surprised.

DROPLET: Anyway.
DROPLET: What the hell brings you here?

Droplet taps her foot, awaiting Venia's response.

Auth continues his work. First, Auth notes that she must've not had time to repair her previous body.

MAGNOLIA: Hm? I had plenty of time.
MAGNOLIA: I just didn't want to. It's really boring, and it takes a lot of effort!

He then gives Magnolia to a body, placing her in the hands of the corpse. Magnolia begins to glow, the corpse twisting and spasming as she begins to puppet it. Herself in hand, Magnolia's new body twists and stretches, carrying herself around like she was nothing. The glassy, lifeless eyes of the Chairian corpse slowly shift back into focus, becoming a beautiful crimson.

MAGNOLIA: Yay! New body!
MAGNOLIA: Thank you a lot, Author!
MAGNOLIA: Now I can walk and stuff! But I promise I'll be good, and go with Irongutta when he needs me.
MAGNOLIA: He's a lot of fun!
MAGNOLIA: Anyway, let's go home! I wanna explore your house. It looks really interesting!

The two return home, Auth promising to make her a dress. Next, with Marron, Auth notes that he'll see her tomorrow. She nods, wishing him a good night. His chat with Omorika goes about the same- not much is said. Mostly because we're wrapping things up for the night. As for his nighttime handiwork, Auth stitches together 10 Roseweave and 4 Fireproof Silkweave, and 10 units of Ette's Floof to create Magnolia's Dress! Now to actually give it to her!

As one final thing, Auth combines a Fluke Core Fragment, 5 Mental Clusters, 2 Cyan Diamonds, and an Electrum Ingot together to create The Wrath of Heaven. This is downloaded onto the ship immediately, adding +10% Weapon Strength and a new weapon! Seems like it's an AoE damage dealer: that'll come in handy!

The Reflector discusses the nuances of their transformations with Ette. She's utterly fascinated with them, though she's slightly neutered by the Thymefield. Then, the question comes up- does she have any suggestions for copies?

ETTE: Um... that's a good question!
ETTE: You should copy... Chaos!
ETTE: He's the red guy who runs the shop at the house! He seems scary, but he's secretly a big dummy!
ETTE: He can also do really weird things, like clip into the floor, be the floor, and also die AND get better!
ETTE: Maybe you two would be good friends? He'd also probably find you funny.

...Copying Chaos. That can only go well, can't it?

Serious plot happens with Echoss! While it actually doesn't have too much bearing on the course of the turn, it also lets me announce that Marron's officially done cooking.

Also, read this story post if you haven't! It's pretty good.

<AMIDST THE CLOUDS, ROUND TWO>
It's currently pretty stable. Now that you've gotten your sea (air) legs though, things are going to step up! Another enemy airship has shown up, as well as fresh waves of Iti! There sure is a lot of them... but you'll manage. You always have. What is ominous though is that pool of water to the west. Water is known to be incredibly lethal in the Mindscape. Not so much here, but... who knows? Maybe this is memetic Chaos water.

Hrh. I'm probably not going to get much help here, am I... Whatever. Calm, collected, definitely attacking these rebels for completely justified reasons, yep. definitely an accurate description of me. I mean, come on. they destroyed my farm, and they Still haven't gotten off my lawn? I mean, Honestly, is that so hard? just stay off my lawn!
...Hey, one of them called me "That Maniac". That's rude! If I knew which one it was, he'd die first! probably! maybe! assuming it was tactically advantageous. I mean, it says 'Rebel 1', but there's 'Firebomber 1' and 'Firebomber 2' and so on, and also the Medic. it could be the medic, or firebomber 1, or who knows. Anyway. That's not important. The important part is what I do. namely:
3 GP in Intellect. If this rounds (now ) 3 GP generation is before I act, then it goes into two levels in Resonant. If it's After I act, it goes into another level of Intellect. It would maybe be cool to do some kind of craft on the Crystal Bohemian, which resonates with farming or whatnot, to make it not-bohemian any more since the farms dead, but I'm already in battle. I guess I'll do that while I'm chasing down Vedfolnir. ech, got off track again. I use the Helix Token, then move to I12 while casting Double Mobile Super Illusory Trap. both Illusory Traps project an image of me, mimicking my movements as necessary for realism but altered to their positions. One spawns on H9, and another spawns at I11. From the enemy prespective, this should look like I ran towards the firebombers, then split into three.

Iff casting illusory trap doesn't have any visible tells, other then the, you know, illusions, I alter the illusions to show the Baubles flashing white when I "split", and act as if I'm sprinting and then out of breath when I arrive at a tile, in order to make it seem like These illusions are the result of an equipment ability, and pretend I've got only two move.

I also use the Poetry Pamphlet, giving myself Ordo, and applying Doom to the Mechon2. Doom isn't a Prevention Effect and doesn't modify MOV, after all.

CRAFT:
Meanwhile, JOE somehow does some calm crafting. Retrieving 1 Assorted Chairian Weapons, 8 iron ingots, 10 wire scraps, and, after a bit of thought, some fluxblood, he looks something up. After a bit of searching, he starts bending his iron into a new shape, a long tube structure with a couple of kinks in it. Two more pieces of iron are attached beneath that. Then, he places this structure on the ground and uses the Chairian Weapon as a nanotechnician's weapon, inducing a positive charge in both pieces of iron by inducing a strong negative charge in the weapon itself, then lifting the structure again. Another 3 iron is used as a stand, a long pole perpendicular to the structure itself to jam into the ground and keep it upright. the nanotechnician's weapon is then affixed to the structure on a permanent basis via the wire scraps, this set up now functioning as a radio antenna. By moving the positively charged iron back and forth using the nanoswarm control, the overall polarity of each side of the antenna alternates rapidly, sending out electromagnetic field distortions. Now, if I wanted to send a signal, I would need more then that, but what I want is just to drown out every other signal in the area. But of course, this all needs a power source. and that power source is Fluxblood. Again, to make an actual radio? terrible idea. To make an overcharged radio transmitter which sends out only garbage signals so strongly it drowns out the rest? just might work. Fluxblood is said to Crackle with incredible levels of power, and I'm pretty sure crackling is only for fire and electricity. Therefore it is charged with electricity! I pour it into a small hollow in the iron tube, which I then seal up. Next, I reshape a bit of the keep-upright pole, installing a hinge, and use a piece of gold to make two springs on either side of the hinge, which I enchant to be extra springy. Now, when the pole is jammed into the ground, the springs will cause it to tilt back and forth rapidly. This is the activation signal for the nanoswarms, which will begin sending out radio signals at greatest available force and quantity, and the fluxblood will be sent turbulently splashing within its hollow in the rod, sending out noisy signals itself through its entropic nature!

Radio Signal Disruptor created! Why did I do this? Well, Mechnois have the AI 'these soldiers are controlled by tacticians from afar'. and they don't have pilots. So logically, if I can keep it from recieving any form of external orders, it will either stop doing anything at all, or stop having any form of tactics more extensive then "shoot things that move". I don't actually know if they're using only Radio or what, but that's what the fluxblood is for, as a sort of catch-all.
Resources used: 1 Chairian Weapon, 8 iron, 10 wire scraps, 1 gold, and an unspecified quantity of fluxblood.

"Trans rights!"
After exclaiming support for trans people, Asha drops Lingua Franca at P14 (only if it moves with the ship- otherwise not much point), if moves to M16, teleports to H12, then:

- If she isn't restricted by the Gaiawall's ZoC yet, moves to H11 and uses Hidden Flame the Core. +2 Might. +1 Magic.
- Otherwise, she sits where she is and snipes the Core with her basic attack. +2 Magic. +1 Might.

After either option, she swaps Focused for Evasive.

Respec:
My combatant is now Pionobot. I'm aware the special isn't completed yet, but I left a basic concept in a note in the Special box. Hopefully that's enough of a guideline to know what to do with him.

Earlier, before Echoss gets forced to actually rest...
Echoss nods.
"Humans have a partial problem with their immune system, where sometimes the cells comprising it will incorrectly identify harmless substances as poisons or disease.
This can be caused by anything from pollen to certain kinds of plastics or food.
Usually it's nothing terrible, causing discomfort, itching, sneezing, or nausea.
Sometimes though, the internal reaction will be so extreme that it puts the person in danger of their body's own attempt to protect them. I suppose that's less of a concern when healing magic is available though.
"
Maple then contemplates changing Sussui's customs to accomodate alien species. Echoss nods again, more contemplatively this time.
"It'd probably take a bit of adjustment for any who wanted to live here.
But then again, that's really the case whenever you take part in a new culture.
Of course, should all go well, I'll be spending at least some time on Sussui following the neutralization of the Chaos Butterfly.
Sussui is quite interesting culturally, ecologically, and geologically. Perhaps the Echo Collective could be LOCAA's first fully beneficial alliance with outsiders?
Ah... I digress. That's for the future, and a rather uncertain future at that.
I definitely hope to see the Citadel in proper times of peace.
"

Not!Echoss finally pulls his(?) weight.
Not!Echoss gets told that if he's going to stay in this house he's AT LEAST going to do some chores. So he heads out to Zone 1 and collects:
The Lumipods in Forest of Departure.
The Cinderfruit in River Crossing
The Celefruit in Ashen Canopy
The Green Sap in Forest Crossroads
I know that's 4 things at once but it's also 4 really quick things so I figure it's okay.

Jump Into Battle!
Action taken immediately after IGU's action
Pionobot hops into Amidst the Clouds at Q20 with what was undoubtedly the greatest one-liner in the history of thymium except not because I'm not doing well enough to write it and also Pionobot's not actually clever enough to do more than make a bad pun.
Anyways he sets Armistyx to Trident-Scythe (Piercing), moves to S18, telenodes to AA10 then steps to AA9.
He swaps to Vortex-scythe form for a split second and fires AEROBEAM Northwest. The beam bounces off the console at X6 and then again off the one at AA3 before finally ending it's trip at the Gunship core.

Nonsnark version:
Pionobot spawns at Q20, uses the telenode at T17 to teleport onto the Gunship at AA10, ending his move at AA9. He fires an aerobeam Northwest, and it curves Northeast at X6, then South at AA3.

The Great Morning Todo List:
Zone 2:
Grey Corpsetaker
Scarlets camping out

Zone 3:
Talk to Lutea
Deliver materials to the legionaires setting up a hospital in fireblast encampment
Grey Chimes

Zone 4:
Revive Droplet's Harpy
Rescue soldier from the fell beast pack

All zones:
General resource collection, ask me on discord for specific ideas

Woodthorne takes a bite out of his Manabloom Biscuit. He then teleports to F12, moves to F11, and casts Twin Spires on the Ship Core at G8.

(Also, don't worry, I already got the skirm thing taken care of)

Nemuri moves over to P13 and proceeds to shoot her bow, enchanted with what she believes to be the holy light of the math deities, directly at AmphiB2. Ow, that's gotta hurt.

If possible, she displaces the healing to N17, and if the Amphi somehow survives this due to bad luck and she can use her Energetic Flame proc, she uses it on the Amphi's head.

tl;dr
Movement: R13-Q13-P13
Attack: Basic Attack w/ Cast Aspect on T10, Heavenly Ray heal centered N17 (if possible), Energetic Flame proc on S12 (if Amphi is still alive and if possible)

Oh jeez, did we deliberate on things so long we never made a decision. ...Well, it's not like we need to have Omo and Mari working nonstop.
Anyway, let's just go with Snaking Rounds and Panic Drive for now.
Also, I commission Nia to upgrade the Steamstream Gloves.

Order: Daskter>Rosemary>Me>Crys>Piono
Battle: Wait until ship goes down, Q20>S18>AA10>AB8, shoot Fighter2, Bag.

Boshi - Zone 1

Boshi proceeds down to the Peaceful Riverbank, unfolds the Corvette, and sails off to the lake again. He notes the lack of massive electric worms in the water; it's probably safe for him, but probably not for his allies. He drives up to the little island with the Legionnaire on it.

"(Huh. Did that oversized eel leave early? If it's going to the skylabs it's probably gonna be dead relatively soon...)"

Sophia - Zone 2

Sophia flashes the Grey Card at the Corpsetaker and it's Reclaimed, then leaves the stinky sewers. Bleh.

She then meanders through the library. It was peaceful. Silent. Relaxing. Though on her way to the Bridge of the Fallen, she notes the Scarlets camping out in the Grand Hall. She peeks out over the Grand Hall Overlook's railing to figure out what they're doing and/or talking about.

Dorothy - Zone 3

After some much-needed, relaxing meditation, Dorothy wanders the gardens some more, wincing at the scenery every time she passes a destroyed area. She eventually finds the Fireblast Encampment, and overhears some legionnaires talking about building a hospital. They need resources. Thankfully for them, the Spherebreakers have tons of the stuff. Dorothy lays out 50 Uniform Logs, 20 Silkweed Bundles, and 10 Iron Ingots. That should be enough for them to get started at least.

She then calls out to the two in case they haven't noticed her. "Hey!"

Hannah - Everground

Hannah takes some time to rest and patch herself up. She goes to mine out the big island's gravcore ore.

There's two chains on either side of the platform, so she ties herself to the one on the left, and lowers herself down onto the island. She starts digging out the island, beginning with (R158-159). She then digs out the nearby ore with the Heavenpiercing Drill. Once it's mined away, she pushes off the island as it falls. She climbs back up.

Then, she thinks about it for a moment. She can't just keep shelling out credits tot he Cultist to toss her stuff through. So she uses one of the portal's runes, and places a portal on the elevator platform.

Battle - Amidst The Clouds

Before any weapons are fired, Mirror!Hannah activates the Rangefinding Sensors.

Hannah moves to (S21) and fires a salvo of arrows on the Devout. She retreats to (S22).

Mirror!Hannah moves to (P23) and shoots Aello8.

The Battle in the Skies
Daskter steps back from the side of the airship to (Q15); they proceed to use Creation Singularity on (U12).

The Rocketeer quickly reposition to (R22) using the Teleporter Nodes. They fire their First Strike against the enemy Scout1's Core.
