Talking with Marron:
Echoss blinks, then chuckles. "Ah... While I suppose now's not the time for a cosmology lesson... A lot of the stronger materials we have access to are originally sourced from fantasy worlds. I don't know how many fantasy novels you've read, but fantasy authors are not always the most creative bunch, funnily enough. True Steel is a metal that looks a bit like... well, closer in hue to silver than steel actually. But it's generally used in similar situations. It's stronger, slightly heavier. Just stiff enough to make for strong swords, without being..." Echoss trails off and shakes his head. "Ah, sorry... Now's not the time for a lecture on materials science. My apologies, I've been rather... off today." With Maple, Echoss takes the previously stated resources and Maple's gear, and nods. First, he pulls a couple more wires and two titanium ingots out of the inventory. He holds them in his hand, then makes a smushing motion. The extra wires and titanium ingots disappear, but when he finishes with the motion he pulls out an electrical multi-tool assembled of the items. First thing he does is take one of the squall clusters, and break it in half. It isn't quite that straightforward of course, he carefully draws his finger along the surface of it, until he locates a safe fracture line, then draws his finger along that line. The fracture line lights up, and the squall cluster splits in half quite cleanly when he pulls on the two parts. He takes the two halves and, molding the plasteel into shells to keep movement from bursting out powerful gusts of wind into the surrounding area, inserts the two halves to make small makeshift "aero-cores" He then carefully opens up the two Scarlet booster greaves, and swaps out the flame-based power sources with the aero cores, careful soldering the entire thing back together with the multi-tool, swapping out a bit of wiring to make sure the thing takes to the new assembly more fully. Then he moves on to the sword. Here he performs a similar process, finding more fracture lines, and splitting the cluster apart into several smaller constituent pieces. While fractured and separate like this they aren't as powerful, he does have an idea for how to remedy that. The cluster is too large to just shove into Maple's sword, so instead he pulls one of the Shadowcasters out of the group inventory, and salvages it for the magical conduits used to fire the dark magic. Having salvaged these items, he sort of... speed-reforges maple's sword. Using the plasteel to mold the crystal shards into the interior of the sword and connect them with the magical conduits. The largest piece is used to replace the interior engine originally powering the fire attacks, and used as the central piece of the air connectors. Materials consumed: 6x Plasteel Ingots, 2x squall clusters, 12x wire scraps, 2x titanium ingots, 10x circuit boards, 1x heroine booster greave, and 1x Shadowcaster crafting charge. In the everground: Well that didn't work as well as hoped. Pionobot looks down at the bridge, and smashes the edge of it, causing the bridge to whip down. the things holding it in place on the other side rip out and the entire thing spins through the air slightly before landing directly on top of the Edges on the left. Pionobot retreats into the middle of the island he's on, away from enemy attacks. Consumables are finally filled out PCI has 2 fluxblade scrolls, a rosewater, and a hotspring tea Hat has three bags of sliced fruit Echoss moves up to P23 and fires a fluxblade scroll out of his weapon skill (not consuming one from the PCI) into whichever Amalgamated Eye needs it most. -------------------- Once upon a time there was a story...

Reinforcements! Admittedly very weak ones, but reinforcements nonetheless. Perfect target practice.
Staying planted right where she was (being relatively safe as well), she points towards Chosen 1 with a maniacal grin on her face, and the intent to kill. Basic Attack. Hannah nods along with Yew's musings. It makers a lot of sense. With how the rebels fight, it's no secret that they're likely gonna continue pushing even without any sort of leadership guiding them, and when the sphere gets taken out by one party or another. So she had to pick a side to put a stop to it, one way or the other. While the Legion doesn't normally advocate for poison weaponry, perhaps they would like it if the Rebels were out of their hair, thus ending the civil war. The Rebellion was more likely to advocate for poison weapons, but who knows if they'd be stable enough after the civil war to rule. She also heard mention of the Tabletopians once or twice... as the entirety of LOCAA would be weakened from the civil war, would it be fitting to fight for or against the side with the most advantages? She doesn't bat an eye at Yew melting the Engie drone's corpse, seeing nothing wrong with it. Ultimately, a few of them could be knocked down from their variable high horses a peg or two... hundred. Though knowing the odds, it would be foolish to leave them behind now. Perhaps... perhaps she could use them. Then cast them aside when she's done, only looking out for Dorothy and the like. Yeah, she likes that prospect, grinning. "Heh, they won't understand... but perhaps we could use them. Have them bring out our best... then leave them in the dust when this Sphere business is all over. Believe it or not, even with the feats I've already done... turning my planet into a burning sun where I ruled for a short time being one of them... I'm not even at my full potential." "When I hit that point... well... what's stopping the both of us from traveling across time and space, to do so much more? Various timelines, just waiting for us to mess around and do what we want in! We could kill the entire Mafia! Again! And! Again! Wipe out an entire planet of aliens if we want to; doubly better if they're inherently evil! There's sooo many possibilities for the future! A rain of blood and acid wherever we go! Ahahaha!~" Hannah grabs the beheaded Harpy's head, and throws it at high speeds at the last remaining Aello, cackling all the while. Right as it was recovering, she swiftly leaps up and grabs onto the Aello's talons, and begins ravaging it with a flurry of precise cuts from Maxim's Razor, before beheading it, and bisecting the head and body in a nasty dance of aerial death. Then she lands, stops cackling, and clears her throat. "But, first... tsk, we gotta get to that point. I don't know how just yet, but I do know we gotta keep it relatively hush hush around the lot of them. Unfortunately, as much as we don't like to admit it, alone we're very restricted in what big things we can accomplish right now. All this doesn't mean we can't silently slip away and melt a few Chairians, though." "The payout's gonna be so worth it-" (2) ... Then the Engie drone appears out of nowhere, doing its thing. Hannah stares back, though mildly nervously. Then he throws a cherry at her, impacting her forehead, causing her to recoil slightly, before catching the cherry in her hand. Also, the intimidation definitely seemed to work on her, given what the drone just did. She facepalms at her incompetence. "Fiiine... (see stuff like this is why i haven't been able to do what i would like to)" "(of course i got too excited)" She noms the cherry. She liked cherries. Also it'd probably help with any chip damage the cherry itself dealt to her. Then the drone mentions their company. Able to do pretty much anything? Protection? Taco Tuesdays? Cookies? The offer really was tempting... though there was one thing that would seal the deal for her. "...Robot bodies, maybe?" Boshi realizes what must be done. Time to take off this thing's arms. He locks onto the Jotun's dominant arm, and continues firing railgun shots at the shoulder, using a railgun with one hand, and moving the boat as erratically as he could with his other. -------------------- "...I will aid them. No matter the cost to myself."

THE FIRST SIN:
I move to space G18 and casts Suffocating Hatred centred on the Eye in space I16, inflicting Fear, for once. Why? Well, mirror me will move to L20, use a bonus action to use their remaining free Shields Holding use on themselves, cast their own Suffocating Hatred on the same Eye (inflicting Taunt), and then retreat to L21. I am, quite frankly, too exhausted to even attempt proper role-play, so that will have to wait. Not like I have anyone waiting on me, though. -------------------- |

RP - Zone 1
Verdana's about to do the procedure, but then cue interruptions. He politely waits for those to finish, then continues where he left off, which involves... just saying an option out loud. "Well, phase matter can go through things, and I can provide pain relief, so..." He shrugs. "Up to you what you wanna go with." In case the "proceed with surgery" option is taken, he'll take a while to gently help Maple with pain relief via some weird emotion aura shenanigans, then do the eye extraction process with either a phasing scalpel or by just Y O I N K depending on convenience. If it's not chosen, well, that's going to be different then, innit? RP - everground Another Engie Drone yeets down from somewhere in the atmosphere. It promptly teleports to H147, making an anticlimatic rubber duck sound in the process, then just proceeds to stare at Hannah. S T A R E . And he promptly yeets a cherry point-blank at her. "That's for desecrating the drone. They're not cheap, you know. Get your bow under control, or someone else will. Also it's kind of a dumb idea to go spouting off an evil plan when Pionobot's right over there doing things and is probably in earshot." Before anything can be said, the Engie drone turns into a cardboard cutout, Engie reappearing at AC152 and accidentally squishing the Edges under him by the power of being uncomfortably heavy, then he wanders off to the right. And then promptly reappears at H147 "Also join my company we have cookies and horrific violations of basic existential rights and conventions and tuesday is taco night and employees are protected by company forces meaning they can do incredibly evil things to people outside the company with very little repercussions and also the ice cream machine finally works." And then he vanishes again to resume going right. Battle - origin of sans undertale Given this move will apply Armorbreak, it should probably come early in the turn order. If other moves specify going first, they go before this one, but this one goes as soon as possible. Anyway, now for RP. "..." Calibri's temper is tempered slightly by Chloe's reaction to him. The giggle makes him start blushing too, though he shakes that off as soon as possible to refocus on the battle. "I, uh... yeah. Gotcha covered." He pauses for a moment, then yeehaws over to O20 and promptly sticks a Force Nail in someone's eye, that someone being the First Sin and that eye being Amalgam Eye 4. He then retreats to N18. Dialogue format dump zone -------------------- "Their story has concluded for now. Currently, you follow mine."

Asha moves to R23 and eats 2 Caramelts, activating Alter Reality to turn Mending into Lucky. She then writes a poem detailing how AmalgamatedEye4's formal request to remain alive has been formally denied. She gains (Teraveil3,3) and (Enchant:Light,3) from this, and delivers the poem via Railgun Diplomacy.

There's only one proper response to an abomination like this: Kill it with fire. Kalis moves to J23 and casts Solar Singularity on Amalgamated Eye 3, which thanks to Loaded Spellbook should also kill all the Fluxflesh around it. This Solar Singularity is also boosted by Lingua Franca.

==BATTLE==
Crystal and Flux!Crystal prepare to double-team Old Guard 3. Crystal moves up to G23. He reads a ASSET_DATA_CORRUPTED, using up a Poem. oldGuard3.apply(Sunder,3) Crystal.apply(Empowered3,3) He then casts Exertion and swings at the Old Guard with all his might, spinning around acrobatically into a War Scythe strike also enhanced with Exertion and also aimed at the Old Guard. The force of this moves him to F23. Flux!Crystal moves up to H23. He then activates Passionate Petals, a storm of petals flying around him as he executes a series of acrobatic attacks! He hefts the scythe and fires a blast of Disabling Dust at Old Guard 3, reducing their AC by 2 for the rest of this action! He leaps forward, carrying Nightmarron edge-first in a Sliding Slash through the Old Guard, to E20-- --he quickly reaches into the code of the game and edits himself to being at E21 instead-- then digs the tip of Nightmarron into the ground as he Dust Blasts the Old Guard into the barrier, landing them at G21 and converting the Enchant:Light he would get to Ordo using Light Eternal! Finally, he unhinges Nightmarron's blade and takes a single long sweep at them with a War Scythe, moving back to E20 in the process! Normal!Crystal boggles vacantly at these shenanigans. -------------------- Thymium planning sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xSq...dit?usp=sharing

<ROUND 222>
Turns out there was enough posts, as of only a few minutes ago. Last minute posting. It does magic??? JOE digs more defenses around the farm. He digs holes at three select tiles, and then spreads some sharpened bone shards across the river. These bone shards consume 2 Spider Silk Spools, 4 Spider Bones, and 2 Reinforced Wood. They also throw some Manablooms at the freed up slot in the farm. Auth confronts the Exhibition! Or at least, he gets a Specter to confront it. He has them stand in the middle of the hall. Surely enough, the Exhibition notices them, and silently "roars"! The Specter stays strong... and then, it begins to charge at them. And yet, the specter holds firm. ...Nothing happens to the Specter. Instead, despite being at point-blank range, the Specter continues to growl and gnash their teeth, trying to ward the specter away. As one final test, the Specter pokes the Exhibition. Their hand phases right through it. Auth then recalls their Specter, and explains to Nana that what they've faced is an illusion. NANA: H-Huh? Really? NANA: T-To think we were so scared o-over nothing... NANA: W-Well... going in there s-shouldn't be an issue then! She stands up straight and tall, putting on a... "brace face". Truth be told, it's barely convincing. She boldly takes Auth's hand, and allows him to lead her into the room. She follows him as he heads around the room, examining various boxes. He helps himself to the contents of three separate boxes... From the Ammo Cache...
Elsewhere, Auth meets up with the group at the Duneyrr. Specifically, he dotes on Maple, asking if he could try and repair her eye. She nods. MAPLE: Ooh, you can do that? MAPLE: If you can... that'd be great! MAPLE: Although, there's no real known methods of healing burns like these... Maple looks up at the Author. Something clicks in her head. MAPLE: Hey, um. MAPLE: Quick question. MAPLE: Are you that "Author" guy? MAPLE: The hero who's saved the lives of many, many Chairians? MAPLE: I don't think we've properly met... ...She looks up and down Auth's body. Either she's checking him out, or just trying to confirm that it's him. Maybe both. Hexagon makessome hot cakes. This takes 10 Hotpoints, 5 Yggherbs, 8 Searing Clusters, 20 Preserved Spider Eyes, 10 Fluxblood, and 2 Cinderfruit. The resulting Hotcake seems to be melting the plate he's placed it on. Nonetheless, he gives it to Chaos. CHAOS: you know [t]ha[t] i mean[t] "pan[c]akes" and no[t]... [t]his, righ[t] CHAOS: wha[t]ever CHAOS: a ho[t]cake's a ho[t][c]ake Chaos uses his neutral B, putting a bullet hole in it. In a hurry, he edits his custom moves, and presses neutral B again. This time, he performs a powerful s u c c, inhaling all of the Hotcakes. Chaos spontaneously combusts, and also drops dead. His corpse vomits out a Soul Key, which Hexagon scoops into the inventory. Chaos's body sinks into the ground, despawning. The hotcake is not carried with his body, leaving it on the ground. From offscreen, Chaos then walks over, and eats the hotcake again. He promptly dies again. His body then vanishes again, leaving behind the hotcake. Chaos walks over and eats the hotcake again. Repeat for at least five more paragraphs. In unrelated news, the fertility of the land around the House has gone up by at least 500%. Venia continues her struggle against the Scale Reaper. She immediately lights a large amount of the entropic corruption on "fire", undoing what is likely the Scale Reaper's great work. It rushes to quell the flames... or it would, if Venia didn't just launch an assault at it. It parries the flames of Ordo with its scythe! The light begins to swirl around the scythe itself! With a powerful swing, the blast of Ordo is sent right back at Venia! ...Or it would, if the power of Ordo didn't melt the scythe, the remaining arm it was holding it with, and also a fair chunk of its body. The reaper suddenly falls to the ground, falls to the ground, and its body begins to flicker, a crimson mist flowing from its wounds. Is it... dead? ...Well, it clearly isn't, as it's just sprouted new limbs from its body. No weapon, though. It suddenly lunges away from Venia, jumps up to the upper levels of the reception lobby, and then presses into the main theater, through one of the doors it kicked off its hinges from earlier. Now, should the duchess agrees, or take time to finish off the corruption in this area? Anyway, in the Catacombs proper, the crab strikes a deal with the cultist. Mr. Krabs finds what's jammed, and the cultist tells them what they need to know. CULTIST: um, alright CULTIST: i think that the guy who made this contraption lived down at the... "bottom" of this hallway CULTIST: of course, that was before his room collapsed CULTIST: maybe there's something in there? CULTIST: you'd need mining equipment to get in there, though CULTIST: at least five pickaxes Mr. Krabs then investigates the contraption. Looking at the "collapsed room" to the south of this hall, he can see that there's a small hollow in the center of it. It is unclear if there's life there... but there's a hollow. Take a look? Echoss notes to Marron that he's been feeling off. Marron sighs. MARRON: When haven't you been off? MARRON: ...Uh. MARRON: I mean that as a serious question, though. MARRON: You've kinda been off the whole time you've been here. MARRON: It's... odd, y'know? MARRON: You have these butterflies you control, right? Are you somehow related to the Butterfly? MARRON: What's your game? ...It's hard to tell if she's joking or not. At the Duneyrr, Echoss tends to Maple's gear, taking 6 Plasteel, 2 Squall Clusters, 12 (2) Wire Scraps, 2 Titanium Ingots, 10 (0) Circuit Boards, a Heroine's Booster Greave, and a Shadowcaster! These are applied to her equipment, editing her primary element to Air! Maple... rather slowly re-dons her equipment, and tries it out. Thanks to Echoss's careful assembly, it seems to function about the same as the previous version did. Pchoo! Maple takes off into the air, invisible streams of air propelling her. MAPLE: Ah! This is great! MAPLE: Much better than leaving a trail of flame wherever I go! MAPLE: Plus, then maybe I won't need to worry about my leg exploding if I hit something too hard! MAPLE: ...I mean, it's happened to one girl before. Poor thing. Maple then swoops back down, gently wrapping her arms around Echoss's chest, whilst floating behind him. It's a hug, of sorts. MAPLE: Thanks a bunch! MAPLE: I'll try not to break these! Maple then pushes off from Echoss, before letting out a gentle puff of air and landing on the ground, crosslegged. Meanwhile, in the Everground, Pionobot cuts the bridge at both ends, causing it to spiral and spin towards the Edges down below. Crush! That was the sound of the Harpy getting crushed by the corpse of the Amphi on the bridge. Crush+1! That was the noise of the bridge flattening and destroying an Edges. Great success! What's less great is the Edges firing a bunch of blades into the island he's on, hitting away 2 chunks of Gravcore Ore. The Island shudders, and drops a tile. Might wanna do something about that. Hannah has a maniacal laughter session. This can only bode well for her future interactions with the party. Yew cackles with her, joining in as Hannah rips up the Aello, causing their meaty chunks to dissolve before they even hit the ground. Anyway, with that Aello down, it seems like the whole Harpy Nest has been cleaned out... or at least, those that dare venture onto this screen. She then notes to Yew that they should probably try and keep quiet for now, though. YEW: Very well. YEW: I eagerly await the time when we can wreak this havoc we both love~ When the Drone returns, Yew seems the slightest bit shocked, but then remembers what she said about "respawning" or whatever. She decides to remain quiet as the two bicker. Meanwhile, on the high seas, Boshi fires at the arm of the Jotun. Pop! Off goes its right arm. It seems rather disappointed with its severed arm, so it resolves this disappointment by picking it up and throwing it at the boat. The corvette, despite Boshi's best efforts, is gorilla-slapped for (14-7) damage. Looks like it merely glanced the boat. Verdana notes that he could proceed with the surgery. It seems that Maple's interested to see if Auth can fix her eye back up, though. Then, down in the Everground, the Engie Drone decides to pancake the Edges to the east of the map, striking for (23+2) damage! Ouch. Their constant teleportation does trigger the Curse, dealing (5) damage to them. Bleh. He then tries to PROCEED EAST, but it seems like the Edges there is still alive. How bothersome. Irongutta talks with "Mags", saying that maybe she'd have a better chance at talking with him if they could just carve their way to the heart. She seems confused for a moment. MAGNOLIA: Okay! Sounds like a plan! MAGNOLIA: Wait, who's "Mags"? MAGNOLIA: ... MAGNOLIA: I'm Mags! Oh! MAGNOLIA: I like it! Pet nickname obtained! <ORIGIN OF SIN, ROUND FOUR> ...Chloe's eyes dart around the room in a panic. She pokes Generic in the shoudler, seeing as he's right next to her. CHLOE: Please don't think that I'm trying to prank you to get back at you for... y'know, murdering me, but... CHLOE: I think we're about to get more Netwyrm Heads surfacing. CHLOE: Big ones, too. CHLOE: So, keep your guard up, or they'll- The ground rips open beneath Chloe, launching both her and Generic up into the air. She flails around helplessly, looking down to see a gigantic maw beneath her. She barely has time to scream before it snags her and Generic whole. She tumbles down through a sickening corridor of flesh, eventually falling out of an opening in the ceiling of some cavern. She falls down onto the ground, the spongy, flesh-like floor letting out a disgusting squish as she smashes into it. CHLOE: U-Ugh... w-where are we? CHLOE: And why does it smell so... e-eugh!? She gets up, and takes in her surroundings. The walls seem to be made of organic matter, pulsing and breathing. The floor kinda resembles a tongue of sorts, various feelers and receptors scattered across it. There's the sound of more tunnels opening in the ceiling above, as more party members are forced to follow her into the depths below. CHLOE: O-Oh god. CHLOE: I don't like this. Not at all. Anyway, looks like the party's been forcibly split! In order to successfully kill The First Sin, you'll need to kill the Netwyrm's Core as well! Kill both on the same round, or suffer the consequences! Also, it might pay to take a round to relax, and murder the reinforcements that just arrived for those of you on the surface! -------------------- |

Origin of Sin/Netwyrm Tunnels
"Chloe! Everyone-" Venia's cut off by abruptly being swallowed, along with Cushion. When she manages to recollect herself several seconds of tumbling into the abyss later, she... Doesn't like what she's witnessing. "...Oh dear... Everyone, keep pushing forwards! The combat data has updated-we have to kill this thing to get out! Or just, climb out of its mouth... But it appears that we also have to kill it and the First Sin at the same time? If the First Sin has any control over this thing I don't know what it was expecting." Cushion moves to R8. Venia uses Material Transfer, targeting the Corpsetaker and... Also the Corpsetaker. Marron's old puppet arm inexplicably ricochets out of Venia's jacket, needle skewing the Corpsetaker's arm clean off. It then "helpfully" reattaches the arm to the Corpsetaker by plunging it directly through several vital necrotic organs. Venia then burns three stacks of Heart (or however many she needs) to down the Corpsetaker via healing it. Then, Cushion uses Fluorescent Breath north, hitting all three seekers and destroying the Corpsetaker's corpse. Venia then delivers one damaging ping to each (one from Hat, then two from Heart), hopefully dealing with the whole formation. Cushion retreats to Q6, and both parties then use Elemental Blaster shots (both set to Light) to shoot down Seeker 13 with it. "Some of our allies are on the other side here, keep pushing forwards!" Meanwhile, above, the Lovely still acts, moving to F15 and using Pollen Weave to give both the Sleuth and the Reflector Mending and Energized. It retreats to G17. With permission from Ziah until the end of the fight, Ziah acts and moves all the way to D18 due to a combined +4 MOV boost and 5 natural move. He activates his special to restore him to full HP, re-instate his buffs, and then uses Shadowball (Dark-element Hidden Force) with armorpierce1, followed by his basic attack (trait) on the Niessence, set to Dark damage. He'll use his Light-element alternative Hidden Force if it would deal more damage via weakness on the Niessence (as this is being typed, I can't tell what weaknesses it has). He then retreats to E17, lobbing a Light El-Ite Knife at the Niessence to down it. Basscaper Venia witnesses the fleeing beast-and immediately peels it, rushing straight into the theatre, altering the weapon on the end of the Calm Mind shard into something she's more suited to using-a revolver, made of Ordo, natch. "Oh no you don't, come on, COME ON! I AM THE GREATEST BLASPHEMY AGAINST IT!" She does, at least, stop before the door, and try to sense presences in the room before blindly entering, gun at the ready. Rosen Catacombs Mr. Krabs agrees to these terms and immediately flies out of the hallway and back down to the bottom, whereupon he immediately begins drilling a hole clean through the door with-surprise!-the Heavenpiercing Drill, which in this case is not piercing the heavens but a hell of a lot of rubble. I'm almost positive that this is not safe drill usage, but Mr. Krabs cares not for your frivolities and maniacally swats errant bits of rubble out of the way with his own eyestalks, failing to take damage because that which is meme cannot truly die, or something. He keeps drilling as far as he can, or until he's in the area he needs to be. Or something else happens to logically prevent his further drilling. |

In the house...
Echoss stiffens up at Marron's comment. His voice comes out like what he's trying for is "calm and level". Under other circumstances it might've come out the kind of calm and level that implies the speaker is carefully containing a building-leveling fury. As it stands the vitriol comes out quite clearly "Miss Needleworker, if what I've done to help so far isn't proof of my intentions enough, I'm not sure what will get through your thick skull that I am not particularly enamored of death by eldritch horror either." Echoss's shadow has grown longer. The room feels like its getting darker, though anyone outside of the room looking in wouldn't notice. "Between the two of us, which of us has spent the entire day running around to try and help others, and which of us has spent the entire journey antagonizing fellow party members over perceived slights? I've seen how you treat miss elem, and while I may not have been here for it I've heard of your little 'lovers spat'." Echoss LOOMS. Smoke seems to gather around his head, and his form wavers, almost as if he's burning. "For your information the butterflies are part of an adapted avatar manifestation spell that I could likely teach the basics of to anyone here with magical aptitude that isn't dense as a brick, and I chose not to switch from butterflies because I assumed that people are smart enough to tell the difference between insects made of light and a roiling mass of entropic hatred, an assumption which I should note I was right in making in all but one case." It almost feels like Echoss is radiating heat. He looks as if he's about to start another tirade but suddenly looks at Marron and blinks, his eyes going from pitch black (when did that happen?) back to their usual golden catlike slits. The darkness fades. The smoke dissipates. Echoss starts to say something again, but stops and turns around, shattering into a swarm of butterflies that scatter out the windows and door before he finishes taking his first step away. ...the spot where he was standing on the carpet is scorched black. With Maple Echoss jumps a bit at the hug from behind again, but nods. "I'm glad they work. And yes, it is definitely preferable to exploding upon crashing too hard." Echoss then turns his attention to the prisoners. "Hmm... we may not be able to bring you directly back to rebellion territory... but we could perhaps move you all out of Legion territory? Bring you to neutral ground and let you all make your way back home from there." Also, he quickly assembles 4 iron ingots, a set of wires, and a shock crystal into a kind of helmet. Lines of wiring go along the inside in a pattern, and the helmet has a buckle on it that requires deft handwork to undo. This helmet is a faraday cage, preventing the broadcasting of radio signals and similar. Echoss snaps it onto Linseed's head. Beacon: blocked. Everground Pionobot has a sinking feeling... And that gives him an idea! He sets himself against the island on the far edge of it, and then jostles the cyclone regalia. This causes the regalia to let out a massive burst of air that tries to blow him backwards. But it can't, because it's pushing him directly into the island. The island goes backwards instead... right into the Edges. CRUSH X3 COMBOB ...Echoss's golems seem to be conspicuously absent from the house suddenly. In related news Echoss's golems steal the three stasis tubes from the Scalefused Chamber, as well as the bits inside them. ...what? They're high tier items and it's not like the Rose Cult is using them for anything. In the Origin of Sin, Echoss's eyes go wide and he lets out a strangled cry when the others get taken. But there's not much he can do, so he move to R20 and fires a fire Elemental Blaster shot around the corner to hit the Wooden Effigy (fire weakness, bonus from hitting it around a corner, bonus from weapon skill) -------------------- Once upon a time there was a story...

Toast moves to S8, uses Alter Reality to swap Enlightened for Empowered, picks up Divine Shield and Autorevive3 with the Poetry Pamphlet, then activates Metamight on her weapon, levelling it against the Bilebarron!
~~ Meanwhile, in somewhen that's probably earlier chronologically, Marron and Echoss go off at each other. Echoss goes off to angst, while Marron is left huddled against the wall of the house. Asha goes over and sits by her, placing her arm around her shoulders to hold the puppeteer close. "Hey, sorry for not stepping in. Are you okay?" She waits there for a bit, just being by her, not saying much for a while. "It's ridiculous for him to call you useless. You're an amazing, useful, wonderful, cute, and sweet girl, and I'm so glad you're here." |

To quote the update...
" In unrelated news, the fertility of the land around the House has gone up by at least 500%." This is relevant to my interests! I go to the house and start digging up some of the land around it! Of course, I recognise that some people might not want me to do this, so I make sure my digging it up is useful, by adding pitfalls on approaches enemies are likely to take to get to the sandbags! I do not use my shovel for digging, since the shovel, while good at removing existing dirt, and adding new dirt, does not have the capacity to transport specific dirt. With access to this 500% Fertility dirt, I slowly and very carefully reshape some of the plots of Rubble so the rubble forms a smooth stone bowl, which I fill with 500%+ fertility Dirt. While the bowls have less dirt in them then the other plots, their incredible Fertility should counterbalance that, allowing for the growth of more plants there! BATTLE: If I'm remembering right, I had 5 GP last round, and I spent 4 on resonant, then generated four. So I should be at five now? I might be wrong but I don't think so. If i really am at 3 GP, I spend 2 on a third level in Resonant. If I'm at 5, I spend 2 on Resonant and 2 on Ingrain. I then Meditate, because I'm out of MP. |

RP - Zone 1
"...Eheh." Verdy boi be waiting. RP - Everground "Yes, robot bodies." Engie yeehaws to P155, steals the Gravcore at O155, then yeehaws away as the Jotun unceremoniously plummets into the abyss below. Echoss presumably got rid of the Edges, so now all that's left is going RIGHT. Which Engie will promptly do. For like... the third time? Though technically one of those was just a look. Battle - oh shit a hydra Well. That certainly got quite a reaction from Calibri. The moment Chloe got snagged by that gigantic Netwyrm maw, he just froze solid, eyes turning pitch-black and the rest of his body locking up entirely. Which, unfortunately for him, is how he ends up getting snagged by the one that went after him. The way down proves incredibly disorienting, though eventually he ends up dumped in the tunnels too, still locked up and with monoblack eyes. Then, it occurs to him what happened and where he is. The sound of glass breaking can be heard as his eyes return to normal, albeit... slightly off, and his expression changes to one of utter disgust. "...Well. That... eugh... I feel violated." He whimpers quietly, then remembers what he was worried about, and immediately perks up to look around. Mercifully for his mental stability, and fortunately for things that don't like a berserk avengers cleaving at them wildly, he soon can tell roughly where she is by sound and almost-sight. He can also sense a few other people nearby, and after some thinking, he deduces that that probably isn't everyone who got yanked down here... "Okay, panic attack over, next step... Chloe! Everyone else who can hear me! We need to regroup ASAP and make a push further in. I know it's disgusting in here, but I took a look at... some things. We need to make for the core and break it apart. That's how we'll kill this ABOMINATION of a being! THAT IS HOW WE'LL AVENGE THE LIVES OF EVERYONE WHO DIED BY THIS CREATURE!" After giving that cross between inspirational speech and wrathful vent, Calibri considers possibilities... Cleanup comes first. There's a certain threat of note, but clearing seekers and the threat in the north will mean Calibri can't address it right away. "Hoshi, hope you've got something to keep that Corpsetaker from trying anything funny." He slides over to D12, murders Seeker16 violently, then slides over to D10. Meanwhile, Lato speaks up to offer a suggestion to Chloe. "My wielder, perhaps we should kill that one." Seeker14 is highlighted in a faint yellow glow, similar in shade to that of Sol Aeterna itself. Dialogue format dump zone -------------------- "Their story has concluded for now. Currently, you follow mine."

Hannah doesn't even get a chance to express her shock at people getting devoured. Of course, knowing her, she also cut up the Netwyrm Head that ate her from the inside.
Once she comes out, she's coated in Thyme Matter, which she shakes off pretty easily. Before realizing exactly where they were. Surrounded by Iti and Thyme Matter. And flesh. The sheer stench of the thyme almost made her hurl. "Bluhhhh... l-let's get this over with quickly..." Hannah rushes to (T18), pulls out a blade to cast Cleave to the SouthWest, then tosses a Mutagen Capsule at Nanite 1. She retreats to (U17). Hannah's response to the drone was snappy and immediate. "Sold!" She heads over to the cliff's edge, swings off the chain and jumps across the big gap (holding onto the Gravcore Ore to gain more distance and to not plummet immediately), and directs Yew to the Bilemother below her. She grabs onto the chain attached to the island above her, and starts building more chain downward. Boshi continues firing the railguns, instead aiming towards the Jotun's left shoulder to completely incapacitate the thing and make it nearly harmless. Should there be another boulder or some such thrown between, Boshi shoots it down to at least veer it off-course. -------------------- "...I will aid them. No matter the cost to myself."

<A SMALL ROLEPLAY THING>
Because why not? Echoss blows up in Marron's face! Not like "frag grenade explosion", but like, the mental, verbal outburst sort of explosion. Marron turns away from Echoss the moment he mentions her "thick skull". MARRON: Hey, c-c'mon! MARRON: When did I say I didn't trust you? MARRON: You're odd, and hell if I know what's going on with you, but- Echoss continues his meltdown. Who's spent the entire day running around helping others, and who's spent their entire journey belittling allies? According to him, Marron has been naught but a nuisance. Marron's fists ball up, and her voice rises, likely attracting some unwanted attention. MARRON: W-What are you implying, gorillahole!? MARRON: I-I'm not useless! I'm not the one w-who's freaking out over a single question! MARRON: I've done a lot to help! I-I've made food, items, weapons, actual goddamn limbs... MARRON: But no, apparently I'm a u-useless piece of gorilla! The seamstress begins to tremble, rage quaking through her arms. Echoss then explains how his butterflies are just part of a spell that anyone who isn't dense as a rock could learn. Marron goes from a mere tremble to a fearsome quaking, a crimson light gently emanating from her eyes. MARRON: S-SHUT UP! MARRON: gorilla ME FOR ASKING A QUESTION! MARRON: YOU THINK YOU'RE SO GOOD AND HOLY, DON'T YOU? MARRON: WELL, YOU'RE JUST A gorilla! MARRON: I'VE TRIED MY HARDEST FOR EVERYONE, BUT NO! MARRON: APPARENTLY, I'M N-NOTHING BUT A B-BURDEN! MARRON: NO MATTER H-HOW HARD I T-TRY, I-I'M STILL... MARRON: I-I'M STILL J-JUST... MARRON: A-AAAAH! Marron tugs and yanks on her right, mechanical arm. Due to the speedy uncoupling, a small burst of sparks shoot from it, but she doesn't care. With a quick flick of the arm, it's send flying at Echoss... who promptly vacates the area before the arm connects. It smashes into the ground, a few small shards of metal flying off of it. It seems... intact enough, though. With no Echoss in sight, Marron kicks the nearby wall, soon sliding down it and sitting against it. She curls into a one-armed ball, her fury burning away into a quiet trembling. She begins to sniffle, tears dripping onto her bare knees. MARRON: S-Stupid Echoss... MARRON: I-I'm... b-better than h-him! MARRON: I-I'm not... u-useless... MARRON: Hah. Who am I kidding. MARRON: M-Maybe I'm as bad a-as he says. MARRON: I can't even stop myself from throwing a tantrum, e-even after... a-all I've been through. MARRON: I-I even tried t-to... u-ugh. She remains curled up against the wall, making herself as small as possible. With a wave of her remaining arm, she drags the arm she just tore off herself towards her with a single thread. Once it reaches her, she grabs it, and holds onto it tight, still not reattaching it to herself. -------------------- |
