D31 Roll:
18
- She / Her

In the Future Past...
...a whole lot of stuff happens.

Chara rounded another corner. And another. And another. How many corridors did this damned house have? And how is it that she found absolutely nothing of value in any one of them?

Another corner. Why didn't any of these even have attached rooms, come to think of it? It feels like she was here for hours, just rounding corners left and right. Something about the situation made her feel like a lab mouse in a maze, except there was no guaranteed reward for solving it.

Yet another corner, who would've thought. This was a mistake. She wasn't sure there were even supposed to be this many hallways. She saw the map of the house. Checking it, she confirmed that, yes, whatever was happening was not normal in the slightest.

For example, this door that was waiting for her in a dead end. It wasn't marked anywhere, and yet it stood there mockingly, challenging the last shreds of her patience. But there wasn't any turning back- considering that everything had gone to the Furthest Ring in a handbasket weaved by M. C. Escher himself, trying to return would just leave her stranded again.

Sighing in annoyance, Chara approaches the door, and seeing that it was unlocked, steps inside. She couldn't quite make out what was even with it, not even before the lights ominously went out.

The lights suddenly flash back on, only… they’re absolutely blinding. A void of light surrounds the girl, nothing visible for all of infinity, until… a figure. Yes, a familiar figure, although perhaps not one she was thrilled to see. The Author appears, stepping through the light as though it were fog.

"What," the child shouts into the distance, "do you want?" Her voice reverberates through the blinding void, clashing and deflecting against itself in some uncanny auditory spectacle.

“I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here, but it’s dangerous. Follow me.” The Author speaks in an odd tone, a sort of dream like quality to his voice. It’s unsettling, somehow distant, yet not echoing like Chara’s own. He holds his hand outwards.

"It sure is dangerous, for an innocent little kid like me to follow an adult they've known for all of fifteen minutes. Why am I here, and as I have to repeat, what do you want?"

The Author’s expression slowly becomes confused. “Chara…?” His tone shifts to something a little more concerned, as though they’re a parent calling out for their lost child. “C-Chara… are you there?”

Chara scowls, her words dripping with venom. "Does it look like I turned invisible to you? More importantly, do you take me for a fool? I knew you didn't want me in this story, but resorting to ambushing me in a place like this is…"

"...it's exactly as one would expect from you, come to think of it. Ah, what a wonderful feeling it is, when everything aligns and starts making sense. But if you want to rid yourself of me, savior, the least you could do is be upfr-"

Something suddenly pulls Chara backwards, causing her to fall through a black tunnel. After a bit of falling, she suddenly, and violently, crashes onto her back in a field of yellow flowers. The world around her becomes clear; a medieval looking village in the night, lit by distant torches. The silhouette of… something, stands before the girl, continuing to call her name.

"STOP IT!"
Without hiding her fury anymore, Chara rises from the ground, brandishing one of her knives and retreating backwards. But where to? The field is endless. The field is endless. And the village is out of the question. This is all wrong. All wrong.

"Just… Just let me be…" As Chara backs up, she hits a wall. Her eyes suddenly burst open, finding herself lying in one of the beds in the house.

"Chara… are you okay?" A familiar voice asks. This voice… belongs to a small white monster in a green and yellow sweater, similar to the one Chara found herself wearing now.

She…
She screams.

Without any semblance of dignity, or bravery, she screams as loud as her body allows her to.

Over time, the screams quiet down, reducing to pitiful yelps, and finally, to sobbing.

"You aren't here. You aren't here. Stop… Stop it, please…"

He giggles softly, before his body turns to dust, leaving the sweater on the ground. The world begins to crack like glass, before shattering, leaving her in a black void. The sweater slowly begins to fill with a strange, red and black liquid, writhing and breathing. As its body takes form, Chara would realise… it's her.

The mass of swirling red and black mirrors Chara's every move, every shaky breath. She swats the air to her right, and sure enough, the figure does the same. She nods (which is also mirrored), glares at the wretched thing, and takes a step backward… but it instead takes a step forward, rather than back off.

Sighing, and trying to retain whatever little calm she still possesses, Chara takes a step toward the Not Chara. She continues advancing, until she is close enough that, if it were any other creature in front of her, she would feel its breath. Uncertain and tremoring, she reaches out with her free hand. The creature's "face," so to speak, begins to mimic Chara’s infamous nightmare face, vibrating intensely as it reaches out and grabs onto her shoulder. Its hand is icy, and wet. Despite her reality being a confusing mess to her, she knows very well that the creature’s grip is real.

There’s silence. For quite some time. Before the creature bursts into a screech, sending Chara stumbling backwards, and hitting another wall.

Once Chara re-orientates herself, she’s in one of the bedrooms. Before her stands a purple haired boy, roughly her age, wearing what seems like a white straitjacket with a black flowing cloak. He grins a malicious grin, his face full of pride.

“Aww, did I scare you~?” The boy shakes his hand, droplets of water flying off, before wiping it dry on the wall.

Chara… sends a knife flying right past his ear, slightly startling the boy and wiping the expression from his face.

"The next one. Will not miss. Start talking. Immediately."

The boy is silent for a moment, before his grin returns.

“Nee-hee hee! Never heard somebody so eager to hear me talk… it’s funny, people usually ask me to stop talking.” He sighs, stretching. “My name is Chara. It’s very nice to meet you.”

The real slim Chara stares at him, befuddled, before cracking a grin. The voice that comes out of her mouth is quite clearly not her own.

"Pleased to meet you, Chara!~ I'm Kokichi Oma!~ I am such a gorilla, that I don't even have a charsheet!~ Tilde!~"

Kokichi seems… well, multiple things. Incredibly amused, mildly confused, and ready to make a new friend.

“Few things. Number one, you’re a nerd. This isn’t a video game, so of course I don’t have a character sheet. RPGs are, like… really dumb. And even if it was, 4th wall breaking is laaaame. But…” his grin widens. “You’ve heard of me, then, Miss Dreemurr… Where from?”

The child of poisons flinches at hearing her former surname, but regains her composure quickly. "Oh, I'd gladly tell you, but-" her voice changes again- "4th wall breaking is laaaame. Never mind that it hasn't even been repaired since the last time it happened, or that it's the 5th wall you should worry about." If one were to strain their ears, they could hear Gutza crying in the distance.

"But enough of that. Did you bring me here for a reason, or do you have nothing better to do than scare newcomers using traumatic memories?"

“Aw, poor baby. Of course I only did it to scare you! And besides, I didn’t do anything more than… suggest. A bit of hallucinogen and some vague light tricks make magic a reality~! Your brain did all the work, I just sat and watched you freak out.” Kokichi does a purposefully bad imitation of Chara. “You aren’t here… y-you aren’t here! Nee-hee hee… how weak.” Kokichi’s grin becomes more sadistic as he watches Chara’s reaction. “Now that you mention it though… there is something I’d like to talk to you about, since we’re friends now. No hard feelings, right?

"I'm sorry. I'd gladly answer you, if I weren't so livid over you drugging me that I'm forced to put all my energy into not slaughtering you and using your body for alchemical ingredients."

“I’d really love to see you… take a stab at hurting me, but I think you’re missing the point of my harmless little introduction.”

Chara stands there silently for a moment. Then, she finally smiles, just a little.

"Alright. Those were really good. I'm listening. But you better make it worth my time."

Kokichi smiles sincerely, and gives a confident nod.

“You like having a bit of fun, don’t you, Chara? Livening things up around the place… Everyone’s always so “ooh, look at me, I’m the angsty anime girl, look at my power uwu” or “ooh hey, look at me, I’m so righteous and heroic.” It disgusts me.”

"Hey, quiet down. You don't want to accidentally summon Venia, do you?" This solicits a small giggle from the purple goblin child. "But, amazingly enough, you are correct. It's always nice to have a little reprieve from pages upon pages upon pages of Hurt No Comfort or such. I'm guessing you have something extraordinary planned?"

He nods again. “Let’s just say… I’ve got a bunch of guys like you and me who are sick of that generic gorilla. And I’d like to invite you~! What do you say?”

"I say that, while your offer is unquantifiably generous, you did kinda make me see some horrifying gorilla, my good sir. Perhaps, if you were able to convince me not to find where you're hiding- do not even try bullgorillating me, I can plainly see that is an illusory trap- I could accept it."

“Very observant of my obvious trickery~” The illusory trap slowly morphs shape into The Author, back to haunt Chara once more. It still speaks with Kokichi’s voice. “What’s the deal between you and him, anyway? Are you crushing on his girlfriend, or…”

"Ah," Chara says calmly. "You are mother gorillaer."
"Suffice it to say, I have my reasons for detesting him and his ilk. Extraordinarily good reasons! Certified Good Shit™. Freud himself slapped his seal of approval on those sweet dank excuses. And what's best of all, you aren't gonna be hearing them anytime soon, kusogaki. So why don't you be a good little goblin and try your best not to annoy me more than necessary, and I'll agree to join your merry band?"

“Sounds like a deal to me.” Authkichi holds out his hand for what’s presumably a handshake. After some slight internal debate on whether or not to hide a taser in her palm, Chara decides to just accept the handshake. And the loss of pride. As Chara grips the illusory trap’s hand, it grins at her with a somehow disappointed grin, before flashing white, swelling up and… bursting into some harmless sparkles. Once it clears, Chara notices a note on the floor, written in purple.

“This world is mine,
You’re cute when you’re mad.
Kneel. - Kokichi Oma”

Quickly summoning five canisters of petrol, Chara sets the entire room on fire without a second thought.

In the Present
Chara accepts the game's apology from two turns ago and invites it for a nice spot of tea. The nightmarish narrative Poniko that operates it is free to join in as well, if they wish.

In any case, Chara goes to report the whole thing between Boshi, Chaos and Temmie to Marron.

Take Me to Church
where we will scurry off to J12 and longstab Husky, hoping we will eventually get to cast Deepen Cut on them. If this plan does not work for whatever reason, Chara instead moves to J4, attacking Helix Idol 2.

Summa feels... Extremely odd. She feels like she can jump over the moon, but probably at the cost of one of her limbs! Tsar'ina tests this newfound energy and makes a ground-shattering sprint towards HelixIdol4!

"Hey, I can get used to this!"

Tsar'ina stops at F10, and makes a basic attack towards the Helix Idol. Using Hyperactive, she attacks the Helix Idol again with another basic attack, hoping not to miss the literal idol target. After attacking twice, Summa feels her health drop drastically.

"Wait, no, I take that back..."

Tsar'ina decides to eat the Burrito from the shopping spree, both hungry and wanting to get some HP back.

"Hmm..."

Calibri moves to O8, yeets a force nail across the room to nail the Husk, then retreats to whichever tile is furthest away from the Husk and also not occupied by anything else.

Ziah requested I post for him again:

"Leaf moves before Venia acts, to R14 and uses Catalyst on the Husk. She also tries to tame the Splinter Spitter. Her Splinter Spitter, upon a successful tame, will skitter to P18 and fire a basic attack at Liquor Bubble6, and then somehow fire a Lumipod right after to delete it. (unless it crits, in which case it doesn't do that.)"

Battle: The Church of Helix

Irongutta moves to I2 and smashes Dome Idol 4 in an act of heresy. This is all boosted by a +30% Unstoppable Force. "Gork an' Mork are best, ya glorified seafood!"

Piggo moves to N10, charging Dome Idol 1 with a basic attack boosted by the full effect of Charge Ram! Defying the rules of the universe, Piggo also uses a Cinderfruit on the same target just in case.

==RP==
Another continuation of the conversation with Mari.

The instability of Fluxblood and the other ingredients was somewhat the point; I tried to purify the entropy and other malign influences out, leaving only pure power. Which, while indeed unstable -- hence the half-inch-thick glass walls and heavy iron banding on the vial -- is useful, when properly controlled. Think of, say, a nuclear reactor. Though this wouldn’t explode if shattered, it’s a useful comparison; powerful, dangerous without safeguards, but useful with those safeguards.

And, actually, I do happen to know what a JRPG is. My home world was modern, with magic -- such as alchemists, wizards, and other such things -- hidden just under the surface; something of a masquerade scenario. I personally focused more on the magical end of things than the technological, but even so, cultural osmosis cannot be denied.

I’ve had some ideas regarding combining science and magic as well, actually; one of the best, in my opinion, was something like a paintball gun that fired potion-filled projectiles. But that, of course, comes from my interest in alchemy -- which is, yes, very neat.

Arthur once again Catalyzes the Husk, then retreats to R8, reaching into his bag of pre-prepared alchemical concoctions, retrieving a weak restorative brew from it, and proceeding to pop the cork and down the potion.

Wyvern rejoins after his hiatus of like, a week. Anyway, he immediately slaps all 5 skillpoints into HP, making a mental note to upgrade his claws, before swapping Riposte for First Aid. From the nearby guard towers, Wyvern bursts through the doors of the Church, at S2, flip flapping over a lot of people to N6, where he takes cover, self casting Fury and activating Evolve Strain. All aboard the Evolve Strain Chain Train bois, choo choo!

<ROUND ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIX>

Only one respec to do... but Co-GMing law dictates that I do it before much else happens, so I'll just do it here.

Wyvern: +5 MHP.

Isn't that an exhilarating start to the update? No? That's understandable.

Echoss continues his various works. He commands his golems to go and ruin the life of a Platinum vein, slaying it. It bleeds 5 Platinum into the inventory before it vanishes in a poof of smoke. They also run off and slam the two machine guns deployed within the bunkers of the Pass back into the inventory. They'll still need reloads, but that should be doable.

Back in the Everground, Pionobot uses the lootchain to send his loot back up to the surface. This adds 12 Fluxtainted Fish and 5 Emeralds to the main inventory. He then flashbangs the lake, revealing more of it. Neat.

Elsewhere, something commissions Chloe to go and grab some Mantle and Squall clusters! She shrugs, and obeys the voice's will. She eventually returns with a cart full of various Clusters.

CHLOE: Finding these things is tough!
CHLOE: I decided to look around the gigantic crater we made at where that bunker used to be, and found a small cavern that didn't lead to the Everground!
CHLOE: It had enough clusters for my lil' wheelbarrow. Enjoy, disembodied voice!

She drops off 12 Mantle and 12 Squall Clusters off into the inventory. It doesn't seem like she found much of anything else today.

Boshi reverts time! This fixes up the turret, and prevents Temmie from suing Boshi. Boshi walks away, noting to the two that this never happened.

CHAOS: so wai[t] do you wan[t] [t]o re[t][c]on [t]ha[t], or
CHAOS: is [t]ha[t] wha[t]'s happening

Chaos shrugs, while the Temmie smugly :3's towards the yoshi. Hat Kid still happily claims the waste paper basket, thus resulting in a probable win for Team Hat.

Back in the Everground, Mustache Girl ferries her items up a floor, into a bucket. This involves some climbing though, and the heavy nausea results in (2) points of damage. They then head to quite the specific spot, and begin digging down, slaying two tiles. This yields 64 Cobblestone. Digging might take some time if she doesn't apply the proper items.

Venia works the economy! She uses a whopping 1,000 Credits and 16 Credits to purchase all four Aspects to upgrade R-8733 to max level! 400 Credits are then spent on a Smash Ball.

She also passes Mari 100 Credits to go and upgrade her Solar Panels, which she obliges to do. This creates the Solarpower Generator, which she's still yet to equip as she's currently in the middle of combat. Soon, though?

...Anyway, the former purchases fills up Yung Venuz's Verification Gauge! The GM scrambles to find his previous color code as he begins to celebrate, launching up Twitter right away.

VENUZ: #verifyvenuz IS NO MORE!
VENUZ: WE DID IT!
VENUZ: I CAN BRIBE MARK ZUCKERBERG TO #verifyvenuz!
VENUZ: OR THE GUY WHO MADE TWITTER, ANYWAY!
VENUZ: WHAT'S HIS NAME, AGAIN?
VENUS: WHATEVER!

He sends a payment to someone over PayPal. A few tense seconds later, he refreshes the page.

VENUZ: YES!
VENUZ: THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION!
VENUZ: POP POP!

He pulls out two golden revolvers, these ones apparently hand-forged on the planet itself so that they actually work. Confetti spews out of them and into the air, raining down on the ground below. There's also actual bullets flying around, damaging the roof of the house or wherever the hell he is.

To celebrate, he adds various goods into the inventory, and other places. 3 Triangle Coupons obtained! Research Nanomachines obtained! Pop Pop (Offensive Perk) obtained! Golden Revolver (Trinket)! It's quite the haul, isn't it?

The Author chats with more people. I mean, it's the same group of people, but whatever. First, he continues with Chloe, noting how spiders can be a legitimate problem. Chloe breaks into a light sweat.

CHLOE: A-A threat?
CHLOE: L-Like, I already f-find them scary, b-but... w-what do your spiders do?
CHLOE: ...Do you live in Australia, by chance? I've heard the ones there are absolutely terrifying...

She doesn't hear the bit about the eyes. It's probably for the best. At the same time(?), he continues his talk with Nana, teaching her exactly what Chess is. He also suggests that perhaps he could teach her how to play when they get a chance to relax.

NANA: T-That'd be great!
NANA: M-Maybe when we sit down, and... get t-that coffee?
NANA: I-I'd love it! E-Erm, "like" it! Yeah.

Nana's having a hard time maintaining her composure. Maybe he could pose something to talk about?

Arthur talks a bit about his world to Mari. The scientist listens on, and does a bit of questioning.

MARI: Huh? You have a modern world?
MARI: Kinda just assumed you lived in medieval stasis or whatever.
MARI: So is it like, a Harry Potter scenario?
MARI: ...Okay, you might not know what that is, but basically- is magic secretive? Does the average person know about it?

MARI: I wonder if you like, live on some alternate-timeline Earth, or something.
MARI: What's your planet called, anyway?

Mari pauses for a moment. She's locked in deep thought, it seems. Out of nowhere, she blurts out a question.

MARI: ...Also, the hell are your video games like?
MARI: I've always humored the idea that worlds with magic might develop video games with a focus on the mundane.
MARI: High-fantasy magic world creates game with no magic. Something like that.

He also talks about something like a potion launcher. Mari pulls out some blueprint paper, and begins scribbling potential designs. They're all rough, and Mari crosses out several of them mid-drawing process. She's yet to come upon a proper design as she chats with him.

MARI: If you're interested, we could make that idea a reality.
MARI: I of course, have no idea how to properly make a potion, but I know how to make a high-impact rapid-fire paintball gun.
MARI: Replacing the paint with something more "fun" shouldn't be a problem.

...An interesting offer. And maybe a neat segway into getting Mari to craft the Potion Paintballer or something. Who knows?

<THE CHURCH OF HELIX, ROUND THREE>
Uh, please ensure that you don't get another round of Helix. If this occurs, you'll be hit by The Great Flood, which while perhaps not actually the most deadly thing in existence will deal a lot of damage to most of the party. Otherwise, things are going pretty alright. All of those debuffs have really done a number on the Husk's DPS! Maybe see if you can hit Phase 2 this round? That might be nice.

Overworld Actions:
In the Everground, Piono takes advantage of being a robot by making a spare titanium chain to use for more ascending gimmicks, he takes a spare piece of chain and fashions a really big hook out of it. Then he carves a big old chunk of rock out of the ground and launches it down the at rock formation further below, with the hook wrapped around it. This causes the rock formation to break off, and the hook to embed in the rock formation, allowing Pionobot to reel in the blizzard regalia no problem!

The two Echoss golems wandering around make it back to the house and push out the Eastern border of the Floor 1 map a notable amount. They take some cobblestone, uniform logs, and wire scraps, setting them aside to be used for future building (make: building materials pile. 1x action stored). One of them digs down into the dirt a bit, checking to see how deep it is until the more stable rock that the main house is anchored onto, and see if it'd be suitable for a foundation extension so that more house can be added onto the house.

Additionally some simple fabric is assembled from the silkweed we have. Gonna need that to make beds.

I'm not feeling well enough for a full craft desc, but basically I take a sum of titanium and iron ingots, and copper gears to make a Clockwork Bomb.
These are pretty simple. They can deal slashing, piercing, or crushing damage. The damage is set when thrown.

It is now Round 177, TIMNE FAOR UPGRAEDS

Not-Echoss (still grumbling about being mislabeled in the upgrades) commissions Nia to upgrade not random useless things for once, but an actually responsible thing. Therma and the Priestess Phelanges!

Battle Action:
The Echoss Image moves up to R17 and tosses a bottled null at the Husk, removing his Venoveil!
He then casts shopping spree, grabbing a burrito and three more ice El-Ite Knives.
Finally, he retreats to Q17, just out of range of both liquor bubbles.

RP:
The door to the main house slowly creaks open, and Echoss makes his way inside, carefully closing the door behind himself. Sitting on the couch a little ahead of him is Ziah, reading up on the Church of Helix… at least, he’s trying to. The mimic seems to be a little distracted by something else, his eyes not quite focused on the book, simply staring off out the window.

ECHOSS: Is everything alright Master Ziah?

Echoss’ voice seems to startle the boy back into his own mind, as though he’d just been broken from a trance.

ZIAH: Yeah, no I’m just…
ZIAH: ...what’s up with your coat?

Echoss looks down at his coat, seemingly only just barely realizing that it is covered in black scorch marks with a hem of it burned off.

ECHOSS: I had an… accident. I'll probably need to grab a new coat from home before I go back out...

Ziah sits up, placing the book on the couch and gazing quizzically at Echoss.

ZIAH: Home…?

Echoss starts a bit, and then nods.

ECHOSS: Ah, yes. I constructed a small portal back to the Echo Collective. Me and Chloe have been using it to retrieve special items that the others need for making things now and again. We can't use it too often, on account of the thymefield being rather… precocious, but it's useful to have a more solid link out.

ZIAH: The Echo Collective… well, that would explain your name.
ZIAH: You’re saying you’re able to go off world? Like… to safety?

Echoss nods slowly.

ECHOSS: For the most part. I think that if I were to try and come back and forth more than just a little bit it would stop working, but yes I have a link outwards.

ZIAH: Off world…

ECHOSS: Are you sure everything's alright?

Ziah doesn’t respond for a moment. Then, after a soft sigh…

ZIAH: I… I had a weird dream last night. Like, really weird.
ZIAH: And I’m not even sure it was a dream…
ZIAH: What seem like distant memories spliced with nightmarish visions of the future…

ECHOSS: That doesn't sound particularly pleasant. Would you mind telling me what you saw?

ZIAH: It didn’t flow logically, at least not that I could tell.
ZIAH: Some adventurer, a husk of their former selves, taken over by some parasite. Long dead. Insane with power. Creator of life.

Ziah slowly begins to stumble over his words, growing somewhat frantic.

ZIAH: My friends. The people here, on this world. All dead.
ZIAH: I don’t know what killed them. It wasn’t the sphere, it was still in the sky, just… looked way closer.
ZIAH: I was back in the dungeon, but it was all dark. The room I was in, it was stained in blood. Crimson Iti crawled their way out, inching closer and closer towards me. I was trapped.
ZIAH: A sudden flash of white light, the screams of everyone here…

As he continues, he slowly begins to quiver, panic slowly seeping in until he’s barely talking to Echoss, simply recounting the dream to himself.

Echoss is quiet, seeming a little paler than usual, he clears his throat and walks over, setting a hand down on Ziah's shoulder.

ECHOSS: If I may be frank, it sounds a bit less like a prophetic dream and more like an ordinary nightmare, if a rather intense one.
ECHOSS: I don't think you need to worry about everyone here dying. We've been able to handle ourselves quite well and were everything to… well. There's things we could do I'm sure.

ZIAH: It’s… worrying, still. The threat of the death of our universe, even when I’m around people I know will be able to save it, is…
ZIAH: I-It’s kind of terrifying, in all honesty, and I think it’s only really setting in now.

Echoss nods.

ECHOSS: Well...

Echoss stops and hums for just a bit.

ECHOSS: Well, I think you should think on this first, mind you, as it would likely be a one-way trip until the entire business with the Sphere is over but…
ECHOSS: There is the portal to my own home.
ECHOSS: I don't know if you have someplace you would rather be, or if I could get you there if there were, but Sussui is rather dangerous right now and I could easily ensure you accomodations in the Echo Collective while you figured out what to do next.

ZIAH: I’ll… think about it. Even though I really do want to believe, a-and I do believe that the Spherebreakers can defeat this thing, I…
ZIAH: What if they can’t? If it doesn’t work, I’ll have that on my conscience forever…
ZIAH: I know they can, but… the doubt there. I feel guilty for just leaving. I-I don’t know what to do…

ECHOSS: It isn't an easy decision to make, no. And it's one I can't really make for you. I just hope that whichever decision you make turns out to be the right one for you.

Ziah pauses… before slowly nodding. The two are silent for a moment.

ZIAH: Thank you for this, by the way. If there’s anything I can do for you, or the team, I’d be more than happy to do so.

ECHOSS: Thank you, if there's anything I need I'll let you know. For now, being able to help out myself is enough.

After talking with Ziah, Echoss goes to go to the kitchen, sees the colored explosion and decides to go out on the back porch instead. He sits down on the swinging bench and swings gently.

The two Bow Kids move in unison to attack the nearby Helix Idol! And shockingly, they don't do the exact same thing!

Bow Kid 1 moves to (H16) and smacks HelixIdol4 with Aerablight!

Bow Kid 2 moves in, stopping at (H17). She uses the Helix Totem, and blasts HelixIdol4 with Hidden Flow! She retreats to (I16).

Both benefit from Loaded Spellbook.

That felt... Good. Tsar'ina feels like a child hooked up on an IV drip of pure, unstable sugar. Going off on this feeling, she runs over to I7 and beats the absolute crap out of HelixIdol3, double smacking it over the top.

"Weee, this is fun~!"

After performing the proper double smack down, Summa begins to throw back a single Yggvessil twice over. She doesn't know what it is, but it looks good!

AUTH: Chloe. Please don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure you really want to know? The spiders in Australia are nothing.

However, for the sake of hilarious reactions, I will assume Chloe insists.

AUTH: Don't say I didn't warn you, then.
AUTH: Where I come from, we have Sorrow-Spiders. They're called that because they steal eyes, and the tears that remain are where the spiders get their name. In fact, they like eyes specifically that have seen and have understanding of the Correspondence... like mine.
AUTH: They get worse. When a bunch of spiders get together, they form what's known as a "Spider-Council", which is basically an amalgam of spiders. A notable one is the Tree of Ages, a Spider Council that is also a giant boat manned by spiders.
AUTH: And then a bunch of those together form a Spider-Senate. They try to challenge the stars for authority. It usually doesn't work.

After Chloe's inevitable freak-out, Auth shrugs.

AUTH: You asked. I'm not going to spare details, and that would make you understand why I hate spiders.

Auth gives a light shudder. Seems he has fairly significant problems with some spiders himself. He doesn't really have problems with Splinter Spiders, though, evidently.

----

AUTH: That sounds like it would be good, Nana. I'd be happy to do that.

Auth gives a smile to Nana... and then thinks to himself about something else to talk about.

AUTH: So I heard you like reading? What sort of things do you like to read?
AUTH: Sort of a non-sequitur, I know, but I figured I'd ask.

Auth's thinking that it'd be interesting to hear what type of books Nana likes. Living in a library has its perks, there's a possibility Auth might even know something like it.

----

In battle, Auth looks a bit embarrassed.

AUTH: Ah, sorry. I thought you were doing that on purpose...
AUTH: I disagree with your assessment, though.

Auth sighs, before floating over to R10, and swings his sword North-west, buffing and purifying anyone who might've been debuffed.

As someone wicked, fundamentally, I disagree. One may always repent. I may have done terrible things in the past. That's why I help this coward now.

RP: Church of Helix

Venia witnesses the Husk's newest blast of entropic blood with great interest, as Piggo and Irongutta fall unconscious. Her mind races, but quickly comes to a conclusion upon seeing Irongutta get back up and start getting on all fours.

"...The Husk swapped their bodies! Hrm. How? ... I guess it would have to know how to project minds into other bodies to 'teach' Xavier to project Nia's consciousness into a robot. Its making them project their consciousnesses to the other's brain simultaniously to confuse them. Be careful!"

RP: Mariaaaaaaa

Maria continues enjoying snowball fun, probably with just R-8733

Hat looks at Fluxblood. Hat dislikes Fluxblood. Hat wants Flux, not Flux'd up blood. That's awful.

Battle: The Church of Helix

Chibi Venia moves to Q16 and gives Venia Ordo, again.

Venia's Mask Spider does the one thing it was born to do-charge the Husk and slap itself onto the Husk's body. Not even an instant later does it rather violently explode. Strangely, it doesn't appear to have been quite its own volition.

The Socialite struts to O12, heedless of the Sanctified ground becuase lul flying. It then slaps the Husk with another basic attack, this time applying only Uninspired. Hohohohohohohohoho!

Venia uses Distortion Dynamite on L12 with a Psychic element, once again trying to forcibly dictate the Husk's movements. She then opts not to use her special nor Devilish Rave, charge to Q14, and do the standardized 'shoot them twice' maneuver, using both her regular bullets and CROSSED (not CALLED. it got renamed why DDT is I use the old name gosh darn it) bullets to make it happen. As she has not spent MP, she then uses Will to Fight, restoring a small bit of her own.

"He's melting pretty fast. I don't trust this... feels like there's something waiting for us."

Calibri focuses for a moment, then blasts the Husk with a Confusion Ray, retreating to Q10 afterwards.
