The Artist, shaking in effort to keep themselves standing, turns to the Elite Spider Rider, and begins speaking. "Most would say that it was a mistake angering you, but look at it this way, you are currently surrounded by enemies, you have no walls to climb up on, and your healer is very far away, so, in other words, I just drew you into the heart of enemy territory without any allies. So I honestly feel pretty good about myself. Now. . ." The Artist stumbles over to H13, scanning the Elite Spider Rider by drawing a Picture of them, than throwing over a copy at them? On the paper is an image of the Elite Spider Rider, doing a charge. . . 3 guesses on what event this image is based on. In the corner is a name, and an arrow pointing to the back of the page. On the back is a name "Laughing Jester INC." For all of you testing needs.*
Diligence 3/10 You didn't know that you had a weapon you're currently using in your base and it seems that there is a bomber in your base. You need to start increasing you patrol routes and start paying more attention to things. It's unbecoming of a general to not know what is going on in their own base. Loyalty 2/10 You announced that you were going against a superior's orders to everyone. The only reason you're not a one is because you have those 2 loyal Regular Spider Riders. Try actually connecting with your troops on a more personal level. Personal Power 9/10 I have to admit, you are a lot stronger than I was expecting. That is all. Also look into getting your weapon upgraded, Forethought 0/10 . . . Look at where you are right now, does more need to be said? Take some Anger Management Class to allow yourself to keep yourself calm when insulted. *Any insults towards you and your family, personal skill and or intelligence are not to be taken personally, we at Laughing Jester apologize if we have offended you in any way. All insults thrown at you were only said in order for us to more accuratly give you your score. Originally posted on 2017-12-14 01:32:00 -------------------- Let's see if this work's, why don't we?

<ROUND TWELVE>
Comet talks to Chloe, asking a couple of questions. She gives Comet a puzzled look as she asks if she's from earth. CHLOE: T-That's a weird question. CHLOE O-Of course I'm from Earth! A-And... She pauses. A look of dread crosses her face. CHLOE: ...I-I'm not on Earth right now, am I? CHLOE: I g-guess it should've been obvious, b-but... CHLOE: Well, I know my brother's a great tinkerer... but not of the "interplanetary wormhole" sort! Comet then offers Chloe a pair of skates, switching hers for the Weaponized variant. CHLOE: O-Oh! That's smart! CHLOE: I'll just... slip these on... and... She takes off her boots, and slips on the skates. They fit perfectly due to plot conveniences. All of three seconds later, she begins to slip around frantically, being forced to cling onto Comet for support. CHLOE: W-Whew... CHLOE: Not a great skater. The leg certainly doesn't help much... CHLOE: We'll get going soon, then! It looks like some of your friends want to talk. [small][small]CHLOE: I've been here for all of like one turn, and I'm already being mobbed. It's like I'm the popular girl in every middle-school sitcom. CHLOE: I-It's really overwhelming...[/small][/small] She sits against the walls of the Fortified Cavern's bunker. She also realizes that Comet has her bag, which she eagerly grabs. She examines the contents, and gives a sigh of relief. CHLOE: Thank you, Comet! CHLOE: I... really thought I'd lost everything. CHLOE: B-But... did somebody rummage through my stuff? Everything's all unorganized and unpacked... CHLOE: Oh well. I should just be happy to have my sack back. Mr. Krabs then loots the chest within the Fortified Cavern, and finds a few curiosities within its depths. It looks like it's a small cache of mining equipment. And that pickaxe... whoever made that was an idiot of the highest caliber. Ration (x1) Dynamite Bundle (x2) (Consumable: Combat) Gunpowder (x12) (Crafting) Ashen Reap (Weapon) Mr Krabs then uses the Naclestial Shard, a bar of Titanium, and far too many psychedelics to create the Salty Searapier, a Tier 2 stabbing stick. He also +1's his STR. Terry meanwhile, -1's his DEF, and +2's his SPC. He then mixes together a couple of items, along with a Holy Dew, a Gold Ingot, 3 Green Sap blobs, and 2 Incendiary Scraps to create the Illuminant Scope! He then ROLLS OUT into the Forest Crossroads. The Author then decides to tend to Chloe's wounds. He introduces himself as a half-vampire, or a dhampyr. CHLOE: Given what I've seen so far... sure. I'll take your word for it. CHLOE: A-and... feel free to do what you need to, if it means walking around easily. The Author unwraps the scarf from her leg, adding the Bloody Scarf (Trinket) to the inventory. Unintentional loot! Nice! Chloe winces as the Author applies a variety of things to the wound... and takes interest in the layer of ink he applies. CHLOE: M-Magic!? CHLOE: A-A-Amazing. CHLOE: I-I've seen it during the Godmodding incident, but seeing it in the flesh... that's way different. She awkwardly laughs as the Author finishes up the treatment, leaving her in an actual bandage rather than a heavy scarf. The duration of her Crippled status effect goes from Long to 5 Rounds. She gives out a sigh of relief. CHLOE: Thanks! That feels so much better. Emerald then hunts for a valid Iti corpse to feed his stick to, but it appears the bodies have already decomposed into fragments. He oh wells his DEF, +1ing it. He also rotates a skill out. Calibri then freezes up upon seeing Chloe. Clearly, he's already romantically interested. This can't end well. Anyway, he offers to get Verdana to take a look at her leg. CHLOE: I appreciate the sentiment, but the Author already patched me up. CHLOE: It probably wouldn't hurt to get somebody else to take a look at it, though... He then offers to be part of the escort. Chloe nods. CHLOE: Sure! Never hurts to have more people around. EN then sprints off into the Untamed Woods, while Calibri stays with Chloe. Boshi then converses with Chloe. CHLOE: O-Okay. A Yoshi. This is making continually less sense. CHLOE: Again. Godmodding incident, it'd make sense. Real life... well... CHLOE: A-Anyway, nice to meet you! Hat Kid then comes back with a picture of the Ashen Canopy, while Boshi +1's his STR. [small][small]CHLOE: W-Why is there a child here? This place is... this place is far too dangerous for a cute lil' lady![/small][/small] CHLOE: Hey, that's where I arrived from! CHLOE: Just... minus the portal. CHLOE: B-But, m-maybe you just missed the portal...? CHLOE: I'd need to see for myself. Chloe takes a look around. She nods to Comet. CHLOE: I think we're good to leave now! CHLOE: I'll just hold on; you'll pull me there, right? The "couple" and their guard end up moving towards the Ashen Canopy, with Chloe struggling to keep her balance throughout the ride. Fortunately for the both of them, she doesn't end up toppling over. Soon enough, they reach the Ashen Canopy. Surely enough, there's no portal. CHLOE: ... CHLOE: T-The portal is really gone. CHLOE Ahahahahah. She begins breathing quite heavily, letting go of Comet. She falls to her knees. CHLOE: S-Surely t-there's something I'm missing! CHLOE: Maybe there's something in the ground that'll... that'll... that'll get me home! She begins to fruitlessly crawl about the ground, poking and nudging the ground with her bare hands. She tears into the ground at the center of the spiral of ashes, but out of the earth only come clumps of dirt. There's a hole about a foot deep before she gives up digging... CHLOE: ... CHLOE: I-I'm... CHLOE: I'm stuck here, aren't I? CHLOE: Hahahahahah... She trembles, sitting down next to the hole she just dug. She curls up into a ball near the center of the spiral. CHLOE: I... CHLOE: I-I'm going to d-d-die here, aren't I? Curled up into a ball, she begins sobbing lightly, completely oblivious to those around her. Of course, she'll likely die here if she doesn't get any help. She's unarmed, injured, and that trait of hers doesn't seem to be of any help. But what to do about this? There's probably an obvious answer, but maybe somebody will have a creative idea. Elsewhere, in the heat of combat, Toast assembles a Firefly Charm using a Manabloom, a Zen Ribbion, a Luminous Crystal and a Manadrop (obtained using a combined 35 Credits), and an Iron Ingot. She doesn't opt to equip it (or her edited trinket) just yet, though. Asuka and Moniker take the time to + their STR, while the latter takes the time to grab the chest at (AT29) and bash it into the locked door. The chest splinters into unusable fragments as the door bursts right open, flying across the room and into the opposite wall. He appears to have stumbled into a "crafting room" of sorts. There's not much in the way of materials, but there's an interesting looking device upon the workstation there. ...People who are in combat find that they can't invest their skillpoints just yet. How annoying! <FOREST CHECKPOINT, ROUND FOUR> There's been SEVERAL people downed. Look, we're probably at the point where reviving people would be inefficient, and where you should blitz down some of the Chairians. If five more people fall, you'll lose the fight. Also stay away from that house- it's primed to blow, thanks to a Rebel Firebomber that's been hiding in the shadows! Here's a tip; focus-fire! Thanks to the Shield system, it's harder to go off and target your own foe. You'll need to focus your attacks to ensure that the shields can't get any value off! Boshi was paralyzed in fear of messing something up here, not wanting to make the situation worse right now.
But Hat Kid wasn't. She walks toward Chloe. When she gets close enough, she... proceeds to hug Chloe in order to comfort her. It's gonna be alright. It takes a while for Boshi to come out of his paralysis in order to speak to Chloe. Certainly helps that Hat Kid took initiative. "(You're not gonna die here!)" "(Hat Kid and I are stuck here too. Our ship's floating above the planet's orbit somewhere. While we could have just flew past under normal circumstances, some interference cut us off right here.)" "(If we could clear whatever's causing that to happen, we'll gladly take you home! Ya have my word on it.)" "(But, well, you might need to help us at some point, and that sword of yours ain't gonna cut it. Literally. Pick a weapon and some armor from our diverse arsenal.)" "(You should still rest until that wound heals up a bit before fighting, though.)" "(Also, don't worry about Hat Kid there. She's got way more experience than me, shockingly.)" Boshi also decides to swap around his stuff again; seems like his current setup was just a crutch for him to lean on until a few more skillpoints were acquired. -Sunglasses -> Beholster Skull (doesn't show on the character for reasons; he likes to keep his stuff for vanity purposes) -Yoshi Saddle -> Tactical Vest (can't really take the saddle off, so it's staying as vanity too) -Move points from HP and STR to AGI (so -1 HP and STR skillpoints, +2 AGI) -Replace Riposte w/ Corpse Explosion (I feel like I can take advantage of this more than Riposte, to be fair) He plans to invest in SPC soon enough, so someone doesn't go insane from the apparent initial min-maxing. Mr. Krabs is currently in the Ashen Canopy, and Chloe is currently crying in the vicinity of the Ashen Canopy, and thus in the vicinity of Mr. Krabs. Normally, he would ignore this, except no he wouldn't because he's greedy, not heartless (he's got like a quarter of a heart in there, I think. Or a quarter for a heart, you can never really tell which.) Ergo, he opts to approach (from behind) and give Chloe some soft words of encouragement.
"Cheer up lass! Even if the portal were there, the entirety of existence would implode due to whatever wooden sphere is spawning those shadowy money-grubbers in a week in the heart of enemy territory, so one week of being away from home to fix the problem can't be that bad, right? Plus, you get money. I like money." OK that was just bad. That was so bad. So, so bad it hurt to even type. My fingers iwll now spontaneously rebel against preestablished order for 0390 as adofiupaf neofpue auiodufioauiaoudoifuaavmoaefoiasfpoyadouadfufadvon uaeion eaouefi a of equ897 9feyfhuiw awe f Due to inexplicable magic phenomena closely associated with how bad that was, a teddy bear falls from the sky next to Chloe. "...Hold up."
EN moves to I10, right in front of the elite Lancer, then tries to take a look in the background at that guy she just saw dive out of the shack. The one who is presumably still running off or something. There's a pause. She points at the firebomber. "Why'd that guy just jump out the window?" She then glances at the elite Lancer. "Yanno, ya might just have problems other than us right now. Y'all been dealing with some kinda freedom fighters or terrorists or whatever? Cause, uh... just a thought, but the less we have to fight y'all, the more likely we'll end up fighting the same things y'all'd've'ad't fight anyway. Ya get what I'm hinting at here?" If the elite Lancer catches on and decides to stop being a hostile force to the team, EN just shrugs with a grin. Might be a bit rough to figure things out from here, but there's probably a way... If he doesn't catch on, though, or rejects her "subtle" offer, she does the same shrug and grin, but proceeds to punch the elite Lancer in the face right after Irongutta's smacked him. "I am bored! To elsewhere, then." Verdana goes wandering off to the Ashen Canopy to join up with Calibri again, then both of them just stand there in silence. Seems like neither of them want to say something for a fair while... Then, Calibri shrugs. "Well, what do you expect me to do? I'm not good at reassurance." "Make an attempt, of course!" There's another pause. Calibri shrugs, then sighs as he moves to make an attempt at reassurance for Chloe. What that entails is mostly just hopping into the hole beside her, taking a moment to stare at the ball form she's curled up into, then crouching down and gently placing a hand on her back. He seems very uncertain about what he's doing. "Chloe. I'm... not really that great with this whole comforting thing, but I'll see what I can do. I'd like you to focus on me for a bit." There seems to be a faint blue glow coming from Calibri's eyes, on top of his eyes already being naturally blue to start with. Somewhat like a calming aura, but just in the eyes. "The portal isn't going right now, but if one could be established from Earth, then I'm sure a portal back to Earth can be established from here, once we have the technology. I'm sure someone here knows enough about portals to get one going, so you won't be stranded forever. You're also not going to die here, especially not on my watch, and while I loathe making promises, I'll at least try to promise that much." Beat. Calibri closes both eyes, opens one to stare at Chloe for a moment, then closes that eye to open both at once again. Seems he just searched for something... "Anyway... hmm. Seems like there's a bit of untapped potential in you. Some combat experience might help get that going... If I'm reading the information right, you'd probably be best suited as a combat medic. Combat medics are excellent mid-range fighters with a bit of everything - the healing to keep themselves and their allies in good health, the toughness to endure if they find themselves being targeted, and the damage to hold their own against enemies when they need to. While I won't make your choice of how you handle yourself for you, my recommendation stands. Maybe you could speak with my sorta-bro Verdana a bit. He's the guy over there in the medic outfit." Calibri indicates to Verdana, the albino in a medic outfit, who waves at Chloe. "Hello there! I'm Verdana, combat medic in training and certified cool guy. I'm sure we'll get along brilliantly! And, um... Your stat screen says you're currently crippled. That's not a good thing. It might just be a delayed status update, but if it isn't, I could see to curing that for you! I know how to medicines!" "Heh. He's been quite the lifesaver already, you know." Calibri now just smiles faintly at Chloe. Come to think of it, he's had that faint smile on him the entire time during everything... Originally posted on 2017-12-15 02:50:00 -------------------- "Their story has concluded for now. uA: Ah, hah. Magic? Not quite. My skill is Melanokinesis, and as far as I know, it's not magic.
He corrects Chloe, unthinkingly. He's never considered his skills magic... gC: It's a bit more complicated than you think, Author, but yes. Your skill isn't magic. That red dragon reappears, leaping up onto Auth's shoulder, sending him off-balance. uA: Genoa! Where have you been? gC: Eh heh... asleep. Who's the girl? uA: Her name is Chloe. She has been wounded and is currently... oh my. gC: What's- O-oh. I see. The discussion between the dragon and the vampire distracts them until Auth notices Chloe having a meltdown. uA: I've got this. Auth kneels down next to Chloe on the ground. uA: Hey, hey, it's alright. You'll be alright. Auth looks at the ground, dug out by Chloe, and listens to her muttering. uA: Your way out is gone, huh... Well. Surely, that's not the only way to get back to your home off this planet. There is almost certainly another way. IF you stay here, like this, you're almost certainly going to get killed. So I have a suggestion, if you'll hear me. The dragon nods, from behind the two of them, seeming to approve of where he's going. uA: Stick with us. We can protect you that way, and get you to a place you can return home from. And if there's no way to do that from this planet... then after we finish our duty here, I will personally return you to your home. It's best for us all if you come with us. Don't give me any nonsense such as "I'll just be a dead weight" or "I'll slow you down" or "I don't deserve it" or anything like that. The more the merrier, in our opinions, and you'll learn and become more valuable as we venture forth. So even if it's just for a little while. Come with us. Auth moves to her front and takes a step back. He offers his hand down to Chloe, to help her up if she takes it. The Voice thinks for a second, then takes an Iron Ingot, three Goneblossoms, three units of Thyme Matter, two Circuit Boards, four units of Green Sap, three Gold Ingots, and two Titanium Ingots from the inventory. He also buys a single unit of Hardened Glass from the Drone, for 20 credits.
First, he takes out his Stick. The fiddling he did with the thing at the start has served him well so far, but it's still so annoyingly generalized. If he's to do anything here, it must be specific. It must be upgraded. The Voice sits down at the crafting station and carefully hammers the iron into the form of a bowl, which he then crushes one of the Goneblossoms in until it's a powder. He pours a single unit of sap in, stirs, and watches the sap slowly turn a deep black. He finds a suitably shaped vessel at the station, places the Stick in, and pours the Blackened Sap over the Stick, turning it from time to time to make sure it's fully coated. While that cures, he tosses a single unit of Thyme Matter into the bowl with the remnants of the blackened sap, then takes the two circuit boards and adds those in as well. The matter slowly absorbs the circuit boards and sap, seeming to take on certain technological qualities. He then grabs another container, this one heatproof, heats the bowl to melting point with a particularly potent glare, and just stirs the molten iron into the matter, which seems to take on qualities of metal as well -- losing the ability to spawn Iti as well, due to being exposed to extreme heat. The Voice sprinkles some type of powder into the mixture, stirs, and its color shifts more towards Voice-pink. The stick seems to be done curing, so the Voice removes it. It's now pretty well completely black. He pours the remnants of the sap into the metallic matter, stirs, and then grabs a tool, boring a hole straight through the center of the Stick. He unceremoniously dunks one end of the now-hollow Stick into the metal, stirs for a second, and then pulls out a stick that's capped on one end with Thyme Matter-like metal. He allows the rest to cool for a second, then fills the Stick with it, adding something of a core to it, before capping the other end of the Stick off with the remainder. Nothing happens for a second, then little lines begin flowing up towards the center of the stick from the caps on the wood, circuit-like and everchanging, and the same pinkish color of the metal. Circuit-Bound Stick created! Further modded. Because that's just how the Voice rolls. Same combat stats as the previous Anti-Anime Stick, but stat bonuses have been moved around -- +5 INT, +3 RES, +5 SPC, +1 MOV. Next, he takes out a Zen Ribbon. For this, he's going to need something a bit different. He grabs the Hardened Glass he bought earlier, another unit of Thyme Matter, another of Green Sap, and a Gold Ingot. He begins melting the glass in a furnace that the workstation just happened to have lying around (convenient, that). The Voice thinks for a second, before unceremoniously throwing the Zen Ribbon into the Thyme Matter, letting it absorb the essence of meditative focus in there, then focusing onto the matter with a psychic spell, essentially bending and reshaping it to his will. The ribbon's power is altered in the matter, turning it from a pure boost in damage to a boost in power, in stats, in general instead of in specific power. The glass is fully melted now, and the Voice removes it before setting the furnace on high heat, melting the gold in there and dumping it into the Thyme Matter along with the Green Sap, and metaphorically (and literally) stirring it a bit to allow the flavors (that is, essences and competencies) to blend, as well as cooking off the more... volatile portions of the sap and matter. Once that's complete, he separates the mixture into a few different containers, then adds various different cool-colored glass colorants. He tosses the glass back into the furnace for a second, before removing it, remelted, and mixing the various colors into it. The end effect is a very interesting pattern of mixed, swirling colors in the orb, that almost seem to move and draw in the eye, letting you look deeper and deeper, always focusing in and in and in... Meditative Orb created! Just stare into it... No more resist to Light, and its Meditative Power passive has changed to Focus -- "When performing a successful meditation, you will have Intellect(6) during your next spell cast. You still recover MP." The next task is to improve the Mana Squarelet. This particular model seems to have a gem set into the front of the squarelet, so the Voice removes it before quickly sketching a picture of the shape, to aid in recreating it later. With that done, he takes an ingot of gold and an ingot of titanium and heats them in the previously-mentioned furnace, alloying them with each other, before adding the metallic frame of the circlet and melting the entire thing together. While that cooks, the Voice powders the gem and mixes it into Thyme Matter, adding a bit more pink colorant powder, before putting that on low heat and slowly stirring to let it evaporate. While both of those work, he powders another Goneblossom and mixes it into another unit of Green Sap, creating the same dye-like dark-magic-infused substance he used last time to dye the Stick -- but this time, he starts it cooking as well, slowly thickening into more of a varnish or paint. The Voice notes that the metal is done alloying, so he pours it out into an ingot mold and begins letting it cool -- then the gem and Thyme Matter is nearly done. The Voice quickly carves a triangular mold and pours the stuff into it, letting it cool into a perfect transparent pink gem that he then carves into a proper triangle cut. The metal is finished cooling, so the Voice takes the metal -- of an electrum-esque color -- and slowly, methodically, hammers it out into a squarelet exactly similar to the one he melted down. He grabs a brush and applies the black varnish to it, before quickly painting the entirety of the squarelet and letting it dry to a metallic black. He insets the triangle-cut gem into it, flat face up to match his own head, and inspects the headgear, satisfied. Blackened Squarelet created! Why change the shape of a hat that fits this well? Exactly. You don't. The only appreciable change from its previous incarnation is an extra +1 INT. For the final task, the Voice turns his attention to his current Sage Robes. Perhaps they'd be better on some priest, but the white coloring is just not doing it for him. Luckily, apart from everything else, the Voice Inside Your Head is a pretty good tailor. He takes out the last of his materials -- a Titanium Ingot, a Gold Ingot, a Goneblossom, and a unit of Green Sap -- and throws himself into the work. First of all, he takes the Titanium and forges it into a set of tailoring tools -- sharp scissors, a needle, and everything else anyone might ever need. He makes up some more black dark-magic-infused dye with the Goneblossom and the Sap, before cutting a set of robes into raw fabric and dyeing it all black. He cuts the fabric into the raw pattern of a suit, then realizes he doesn't have any thread. He takes the tailings of titanium left and alloys them with an equal amount of gold, before drawing it out into thinner and thinner wire that he then spins together into metal thread. With that over, he sews the fabric together all right, but realizes it's lacking in a certain amount of... flair. The rest of the gold gets hammered into an incredibly thin sheet of gold leaf, which the Voice then begins to apply to the outer seams and edges of the suit, both to add a certain amount of opulence to it and to increase its magical ability. Gold, after all, is a very magical metal. The end product is a very smart business suit that nevertheless retains a certain robe-ness to it. Suited Robes created! For the businessVoice about town. An increase of its MMP bonus by two is the sum of the upgrades to this one. The Voice equips all these items, then places his new skillpoint into INT. a black rift appears and a group of three idra drop out, before walking to the fortified Cavern. they proceed to take some large trash bags and grab thyme matter within. before the thyme matter can corrode the bags, they send the thyme matter they obtained into the inventory, where it can't do anything.
they brought the trash bags with them because I didn't see any trash-bag-making-materials around here. anyway this both reduces the amount of thyme matter between us and the iron ore, and puts some thyme matter in the inventory. the idra are very careful to not get covered in thyme matter themselves. Toast moves to H12, and expends 45 SP for Unsealed Spellbook. Additionally, she augments the spell with Reach. She then casts Aerobeam northward, having it turn west at H4. She eyes the remaining Charians before stepping back to I13.

Hearing the sound of glass shattering, Irongutta quickly peered around the corner of the shack. He squinted his eyes, trying to look past the two Chairian archers, and spotted someone else sprinting away from the shack. Judging by the colors he was wearing, Irongutta figured this git wasn't with the other Chairians. Thinking on it a little more, he had a stunning realization. Zog, that git is really leggin' it from that shack next to me. Whatever it is, I don't think I wanna stick 'round an' find out!
Rethinking his priorities, he spots the Elite Lancer not too far from him. He begins stomping his way towards him. "I dunno why I didn't come fer ya sooner, twiggy boss! I'z gonna make a good example outta ya!" Irongutta moves to G8 and attacks the Elite Lancer, with restraint! Originally posted on 2017-12-16 03:17:00 |

"...How dare you slay my troops! I will not stand down when this injustice is being done! I, Oda Nobunaga, will strike you all down!"
Oda moves to D9 (by using the C column to bypass ZoC) and fires upon the Elite Chairian Lancer, directly passing through the first and second Lancers. Meanwhile, Altria notices the impending fiery ball of death and throws DCCCV's corpse to B9, carelessly crushing the Spider. Altria also moves to C9 to perform this. Comet stands back a bit, letting others do the initial comforting.
...hey, don't worry about it. I'm from Earth too, and I don't plan to stay here forever. Even if nothing else works, I'm sure I could figure something out eventually... [small]Could take a few years though...[/small] She pauses for a second. Also, I have this theory... It sounds crazy, but I don't think we can really die here? This isn't scientific at all, and I'm not in a rush to test it, but... I just have a feeling, and I'm not the only one. Originally posted on 2017-12-16 05:21:00 |

<ROUND THIRTEEN>
Boshi and Hatkid attempt to comfort Chloe. Hat Kid hugs Chloe (as much as she possibly can given her smol-ness), while Boshi speaks words of encouragement. By the end of it, she's still sobbing; just not as hard as before. CHLOE: I-I don't think I'll even live long enough to even go home... CHLOE: I-I've never been in a r-real f... fight before, either. CHLOE: If I do live long enough... please take me h-home. Boshi then rotates his equipment heavily, performing quite the large respec. Mr. Krabs also attempts to calm Chloe. She actually ends up giggling at him, before placing her hands over her mouth. CHLOE: E-Eek! Sorry... CHLOE: I... I can't take you seriously. Y-You're just... from a show I saw as a kid... wearing a ridiculous costume... and you're giving a motivational speech... CHLOE: Eheheheheheh... CHLOE: I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed... ...Well, at least she's less down now. She's properly flustered now instead, which may or may not be an improvement. Berg then tries to encourage Chloe. He doesn't know the spell, so he does it the old fashioned way. CHLOE: Hardy? I-I guess us humans are decently durable... Calibri also joins in on the comforting party. Chloe's basically flanked on all sides by this point. Her emotional spectrum flips one-hundred and eighty degrees, going from "flustered" to "offended". CHLOE: W-Wait. CHLOE: After everything I've been through, you're trying to conscript me!? CHLOE: W-What the hell!? W-We've only just met, and y-you're giving me... recommendations!? For combat!? CHLOE: I-I can't believe you! T-That's... irredeemable! Calibri's totally-existent Relationship Score with Chloe takes a critical blow of (23) damage. Still on the ground, Chloe rotates herself away from him. She gives a glance to Verdana. CHLOE: M-My leg should be fine. But thanks. The Author then sparks a Conversation x5 Combo, clearing up a misconception about his "magic", which isn't really magic. Chloe seems the slightest bit disappointed, but listens to the Author's suggestion. CHLOE: ...C-Come with you? CHLOE: I-I mean, I won't be much help with combat, but y-you're willing to keep me safe... CHLOE: I don't think I can say no; I won't make it out here on my own. If you wanted me dead, you probably would've already killed me... CHLOE: So... why not? CHLOE: I'll help however I can, even if it needs to be in my own little way... Chloe takes the Author's hand, and allows him to help her up onto her feet. CHLOE: S-Stay close to me, alright? CHLOE: I don't want to be left on my own... Chloe has agreed to stick with the party for now! Her stat sheet has been loaded in its own separate tab, where all NPC sheets will go in the future. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: The Blade The Voice then decides that his gear is bad, so he performs FOUR crafts in the same round. This all consumes 1 Iron Ingot, 3 Goneblossoms, 3 Thyme Matter Blobs, 2 Circuit Boards, 4 Green Sap Blobs, 2 Gold Ingots, and 1 Titanium Ingot. JOE then summons some people to bag some some Thyme Matter, and they successfully bag 4 units of it. Comet also decides to talk with Chloe, despite most of the conversations happening a few lines up. CHLOE: O-Oh? You're human too? CHLOE: I thought I was alone up here... in a species sort of sense. CHLOE: And... what makes you think we can't die? This isn't some sort of game! [small][small]CHLOE: I mean it is, but respawning isn't really canon, though. See Borderlands, I guess? New-U machines.[/small][/small] <FOREST CHECKPOINT, ROUND FIVE> The Chairian Army has been defeated! The survivors of the battle are now at your mercy; do what you want with them. There's a few things of interest there; the rebel that tried to bomb the houses has sunk into the forests to the north, and the house has a few things to look at as well. ...To the east of this house is a powerful, horrifying, and familiar presence. Make sure you're prepared! You have an additional skillpoint to spend, so that'll probably go a long way to fighting off whatever's there. ... Chloe's stomach rumbles. CHLOE: I just realized I haven't eaten in a day or so... CHLOE: Maybe I should eat one of those lunches I packed... Originally posted on 2017-12-18 01:32:00 -------------------- |

Teag actually puts his points in STR now.
He then quickly loads another fire round in his railgun and walks towards the shed, up to the broken window, and casts Skeletal Toss on the Charian Fighter's phone because you can totally do that, pulling it towards him and catching it in midair. He then hangs up the call (unless someone else wants to do something with the phone) and puts it in the inventory. Hopefully it doesn't have a tracker or anything. ![]() If he still has time, he also loots the cart, and explores down the hole the Firebomber made. The Tera Robe is lethal'd.
"Sorry, dude, but this mission's bigger than you and me!" The Elite dude is lethal'd. Horribly. "..." His mouth is wide open in shock, and then he walks out, picking up the intact grenade launcher, and dropping it into the inventory. ---- +1 point to SPC. That makes about +1 upper damage for both Diepix Disciple and Culmination. Heavenly Ray is switched out for Blood Molding. This thing's pretty high-value, since MP Molding can be done.
