<ROUND TEN>
Toast rotates a few spells, and promptly engages in STRIFE with the Rider and company. Destiny, Teag, JOE, The Man, the Artist, DCCCV, Nobu, Brutishace, Irongutta, and Zedros all charge in! The game responds by +2ing the Player Cap.

Not much else to say here. Shall we get to combat?

<FORTIFIED CAVERN, ROUND FIVE>
Not much left to do here. Go and focus-fire the Naclestial... or don't. Do whatever you want, I guess. If supporting is your concern, note that the Author is low on HP. Shouldn't be too hard to win from this point.

<FOREST CHECKPOINT, ROUND TWO>
Overall, this turn was a loss for you guys. Two deaths, and lots of damage suffered by the party. Now's your time to make a comeback, though! The Riders might not be your first priority, as they'll spawn (weaker) units after death that can still attack. Focus down the others first, perhaps?

Toast moves to E13 and activates her trait, Language of Sorcery, augmenting Ignite Blood with Reach! She shouts out something in that weird language of hers as she casts the spell.

"Masith Setho Yar'us! Ey Teth to 'Him'!"

The air begins to crackle with magic, and she points a crystalline finger at the second Spiderider. From it, a bolt of flame lunges erratically forward and into the foe. It nestles itself there, an unstable, flaming beacon. Toast lowers her hand, then hops back to F14 once it's free.

In a flash of black, the world turns dark. When it's possible to see again, Calibri has apparently appeared at P9. There's a short pause for effect...

"Hey. Naclestial. You're about to share one more trait with the dead sea beyond being a lethally-toxic mass of salt."

Slash.

"Namely, being dead."

Calibri proceeds to duck into that one-person-wide hallway area, retreating to R9 and standing there for a few seconds. Then, he turns towards the door. More specifically, the one behind the door.

"You know, normally I'd prank you as an introduction, but I think you've already been through enough of an ordeal today. I'm Calibri. Calibri the... uh... I'm not sure what I am, actually. Haven't been able to get anything conclusive from my predecessor's memories. Well... this is shaping up to be an unusual introduction, and I don't think things will get any less weird once it's safe to open the door..."

At the same time...
a black sphere appears in the bunker and expands for a few moments, before shrinking.
where the sphere was, there is now a single Idra trion Warrior.
the idra gets control over it taken directly from base, and walks out of the bunker, looking for any chairian corpses, or any corpses with an intact heart-area.
if it finds any, it drags them back to the bunker, and leaves the way it arrived.

Post-battle, Hat Kid rushes towards the door that held Chloe behind it. She peers through a giant gash in the door, looking for a door handle if there wasn't one outside, and reaching for it. Having tiny arms helps, I guess.

After opening the door, Hat Kid rushes to Chloe, and jumps to and hugs her as if to say "I'm glad you're alright".

Boshi walks in, relieved that they got Chloe out of this situation. "(You alright, miss? 'Name's Boshi, and the cute lass there's Hat Kid.)" "Hi." He then notices the wound that was bandaged up with a scarf (presumably). "(Oh shi- Author, get over here! The gal needs healing!)"

<ROUND ELEVEN>
A random black sphere appears at the Bunker, according to JOE. A Trion person appears out of it, and tries to find any intact Chairian corpses. Of the corpses left in the area, one of them is a pile of ashes, and one of them is currently being torn into by a Seeker. It promptly leaps up upon the body, shrieks at the soldier, then pulls away its meal. No luck today, it seems.

And that's the only part of this update I need to address. Time to process combat.

<FORTIFIED CAVERN, ROUND SIX>
With the Iti slaughtered, the Cavern is now free, and so is it's unwitting prisoner. The girl, now known to everyone as Chloe pulls open the heavy iron door after a few twists of a valve. For somebody who's gotten themselves caught up on a planet that's currently being assaulted by endless waves of beasts, she's certainly not prepared. She's garbed in a simple light-red shirt and jeans, as well as a pale blue light jacket, made of a soft fabric. Around her right leg is a dark red scarf, tightly wrapped and tied like a bandage. Her leg trembles as she stands.

Despite her obvious fatigue and pain, she's smiling.

CHLOE: H-Heya.
CHLOE: I-I can't really think of words to express how grateful I am...
CHLOE: T-Thank you all so much for saving me!

She bows her head quickly, her messy-yet-long blond hair pouring out in front of her. Calibri introduce themselves to her.

CHLOE: I'm Chloe. Chloe the... uh, human.
CHLOE: H-How many of you are there, anyway?
CHLOE: That's not really important, though...
CHLOE: There's probably not much time, so I'll explain quickly;
CHLOE: I need to get home. Somewhere not far from here, there's a portal.
CHLOE: I came to this... place, or whatever it is, from a portal.
CHLOE: I'd really love to stay and get to know you all, but there's no time to waste!
CHLOE: A-And, I should be able to get some help with my leg there, too...

She takes all of three steps forward, before stumbling and falling onto one knee, crying out in pain.

CHLOE: Agh!
CHLOE: I-It's a lot to ask of you guys, given that you've already saved my life, but c-could somebody walk me back to the portal? It shouldn't be far from here.
CHLOE: It was in this beautiful pink forest, with fruit trees and stuff.
[small][small]CHLOE: I-I'd also like my bag back, please.[/small][/small]

An awkward smile crosses her face as she ever-so-slowly picks herself back up, awaiting an escort. Anyway, with this battle done, there's not much for you guys to do. Perhaps there's some things in the environment that you could mess around with, or do some crafting. Or maybe you can ask Chloe some questions, which is always a good idea.

<FOREST CHECKPOINT, ROUND THREE>
Colors is almost dead thanks to his taunts, but his taunts have pulled the Elite Spider Rider into a prime position to be taken down! Why not wallop him? Also don't forget about the other Chairians while you do that. Somebody also might want to revive the fallen DCCCV or Brutishace. Also, due to another battle just ending, we're increasing the Player Cap by 1. Go make usage of that, I guess.
