Well, this is it. After so long, it's finally time to destroy the Godmodder. Of course, there will still be some surprises after this, some plotlines to wrap up... But this is the big one. So there's one question left: who will destroy the Godmodder?

It's been great... Though, I wonder how it would be if we failed this time, a sequel would be very different...
And yes, Splatfest! I still have to get up to level 10 though. And, there is a Stevenbomb and finally a new Gravity Falls episode, which is old news, but still. HYPE! Also, A Tale of Two Stans will be 30 minutes, with no commercials!

I'm quite pleased with having finished off the cockpit with that attack. Well, y'know, outside of cutscene UBERFIRSTGUARDIANCOMBRAVE, but custcenes don't count, everyone knows that.
I have, for the past week or so, dedicated myself to the crafting of a beautiful ultra-attack that would annihilate the Godmodder, no doubt. It was so huge that it broke character allotments, and this is only the first part of the attack, cut at a convenient point.
One single punch. That's all I have. I can only hope.

Aw... massive two post spanning attack is probably going to get the kill. I want this to end peacefully, but I think you've done it Tazz. You've (probably) destroyed the Godmodder. So... congratulations.
.
.
.
I seriously considered putting at the end of my 'lets have peace' speech, "And as the Godmodder is considering all this, I kick him squarely in the jaw". And although that's kinda funny and might be more effective, I couldn't. I just couldn't.
You know... I've never actually directly damaged the Godmodder once. In my 2 years of play, I haven't once dealt any damage to him directly. The closest I got was when he took 1 damage in retaliation for destroying the Book, which makes the Book the only player entity to ever damage the Godmodder. And me dealing 1 damage with an entity makes me prouder than I would be for dealing 10 damage with an attack.
After a lot of consideration, I've decided that I won't GM a game, as much as that makes me feel like I've failed in some way. Not with this amount of interest anyway. About three people responded to my question asking if they would play. And I don't want to split those people's activity and characters between three games, DTG0, TvT, and my own. Two is possible, but three is pushing it. It would also split my own activity among at least two games, possibly all three. Due to the low number of characters from DTG2, I wouldn't be able to run Willow on my own game, not well anyway, and so I'd have to play on TvT at least. I don't want to beg people for more interest because that's not going to last. So, no. No Bay12 DTG. No DTG set in Dwarf Fortress or Terraria or Space Engineers or whatever. Sigh... a shame really. I was actually considering using Summon Gems instead of charges because they are easier to keep track of, easier to trade, and easier to make into rewards and incentives. Plus, it gets rid of the whole 'you have to post a lot to charge' thing. You should think about them, Tazz.
Talist, even with that massive post, I'm not sure I actually did get the kill. I really want that Godarm and the Godmodder kill, but I do not have a guaranteed kill on the Godmodder. I've worked very hard on this, but someone may just be more creative than I was and deserve it a bit more. As for peaceful resolution...Well, I'm kind of a jerk, but I was GM in that situation and that speech was the best, most creative post (and I would say it's extremely good so you still stand a very good chance), I would go for Black Comedy and have the speech kill him by way of WAFF (Warm And Fuzzy Feeling) overload, and them have him rage at you once he respawns for killing him (intentional or otherwise) and ignore your whole speech. I think the speech was very excellent, regardless. It would certainly have worked on anyone less thick-headed.
From Tazz's viewpoint, there are other reasons to kill him: The Godmodder can respawn like a standard Minecraftian, everyone else might have interjected themselves and killed him anyways, Split being a prime offender, TvT is AFTER DTG2 and Tazz could find that out (Magic English Eye) so he knew it would not have legitimately worked in the long run, Alpha is still inside the Godmodder's head, and Tazz really really really wants that Godarm.
Nevertheless, nice work Talist. If you get the kill or actually get the GM to surrender, you'd have earned it.
I may be wrong, but I think the UOSS also managed it. It was summoned and controlled by Crusher, and upon death the suicide did a point of Damage or two. I don't entirely know, but if that's the case, the Book still gets distinction as being the first to do it. I could also forsee that Wilson could have easily been this, had you summoned him before he got the plot armor.
As for the summon gem idea: I actually have been considering a system like that for the Endgame to replace regular Charging, a set system of items that, if the group allows for it, will summon an entity of varying strength depending on how many are consumed. I may consider that for regular play as a reward for boss kills as well, but I'm still thinking about new mechanics and I want to keep the game simpler.

While in, what else, the shower, I got another idea. Something to actually destroy the Godmodder if he doesn't surrender. Something elegant and efficient. So, I'm sorry but I don't have any time to respond to anything you said Tazz. This is probably going to take at least 2 hours. I'll respond later though. first, I need to look through all my previous posts...

Yep, pretty good attack, Talist. Although, I might be a bit biased, but there's nothing like just killing someone by reducing them to their component subatomic particles through removing the strong force from the equation. Elegant, efficient, and no collateral damage.

...Wouldn't removing the strong force be the same as causing everything in the affected area to undergo fission? It really doesn't take that much successfully reacted material to make a huge explosion, the bombs used in Japan only had like half a gram out of 50kgs of plutonium actually fission, and fission's far less efficient than annihilation at getting energy output.
... Oh, yeah.
Should I wait until Twin finishes, though...?EDIT: Nevermind, I'll wait... And furiously refresh.
Well, it's the last stretch. Just one more good hit in and we're done. We've come so far, met many allies, and fought against some of the toughest.
...So who's excited for tomorrow's Splatfest?

will be voiced by J.K. Simmons, too.
Probably not me, I just teased at a plot that hasn't begun to yet.

Well. That was impressive.
I really don't expect to get the kill, so I just did a little afterthought mutilation of the body with our ride out.

Talist, don't feel bad about not having dealt any direct damage.
I haven't either, and I've been more invasive in the plot than you.
That being said, I didn't have time to read everyone's posts this morning, so I'm going to try to do that now.
